Takata recall - i received the attached letter in may, 2016. The vehicle is unsafe to drive. However, gm tells me it's ok to drive. That's not acceptable.attached is an e-mail string of my correspondence with gm.i can't drive the car, it's in storage; and i can't sell it without full disclosure, which makes it worthless. And it's been six months with no indication that the replacement parts will be available soon.

Summary:in some vehicles, the driver airbag inflator may experience an alteration over time, which could lead to overaggressive combustion in the event of an air bag deployment. This condition could create excessive internal pressure when the air bag is deployed, which could result in the body of the inflator rupturing upon deployment. Safety risk:in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the air bag cushion material, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. Remedy:dealers will replace the driver airbag inflator on saab 9-3 and 9-5 vehicles subject to this recall, free of charge.

Takata recall.2/3/17 will mark 1 yr since notification of recall.gm site says working quickly to obtain replacement parts.use of adverb quickly is inappropriate.i need to know risk factor as my wife and i have a loaded pistol pointed at our heads every time we drive this vehicle.should we disable the srs system? what is the geographical distribution of deaths and injuries from exploding inflators? are they really concentrated in hhas or is this just another of tanaka's lies? is fatality/injury distribution information available? if not, why not? if this airbag module needed replacement due to a non-deployment defect, would gm have the replacement repair parts available?

I was notified several months ago of recall report receipt date: feb 03, 2016nhtsa campaign number: 16v063000component(s): air bags .i was advised no parts were available at that time. It is now june 22 and still no parts are available and i am driving a car with a lethal safety defect. When will gm have the parts necessary for repair.?i have called the saab customer assistance center but "all agents are busy" and i cant reach anyone despite waiting for long periods of time.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 saab 9-5. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v063000 (air bags). Takata recall:gm/saab sent me notification at the beginning of may that my vehicle was subject to a recall because of saftey concerns around my airbags. However, the manufacturer has yet to offer a solution - they note that parts are not available. No date is given for a remedy. I feel like i've been driving a defective, potentially dangerous vehicle for 2 months without a sense of when this problem will be resolved.

Purchased a 2007 saab 9-5 wagon in feb 2010 with 14,000 miles still under both bumper to bumper original manufacturer warranty and pre-certified warranty.5 weeks later in march 2010, car stalled on i-95 while traveling 70-75 miles per hour in south caroline at least 4 times with 2 different drivers.thank goodness we were in south carolina not at home in nyc area where i am sure we would have had an accident.saab towed the car and said the throttle body needed replacement.the car still does not shift gears smoothly.and, from what i have read on the internet the powertrain/throttle body have been an issue with the saab cars.

Steering column lower u-joint became loose causing vague steering.u-joint is not correctly sized to take loads of steering input and over time becomes loose and noisy.this looseness causes the driver to overcompensate when driving.first notified in june, 2014.

We purchased a 2007 saab 9-5 from cappelino saab on july 27, 2009.the safety problem with the car is the fact that the brake foot pedal is too close to the gas pedal.when my foot is on the gas pedal and i have to move it to the brake it gets stuck because the space between the brake and the wall to the right of the gas pedal is too close.this is a real danger! what does it take to get it corrected ? a death or 2, or 400?i also have a 2001 saab 9-5 and this problem does not exist.how can a car producer be allowed to produce dangerous cars like this?this is an accident waiting to happen!
