The contact owns a 2001 roadmaster r executive/signature. While driving approximately 20 mph, the brakes caught fire and smoke bellowed from both rear wheels. A mechanic diagnosed that the maxi valve failed and had 20% to 30% pressure on the wheel that caused heat without warning. The maxi air valve switch was replaced; however, there was a possibility that the brake assembly system was damaged due to the high heat. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 59,000.
