The fuel gauge does not read the correct amount, this is all the time. This happen so far to two new 2018 vans in our fleet.

On multiple occasions the shift arm would not move while vehicle was in park and foot brake was depressed. Seemed like the safety device that prevents an automatic shifting arm from slipping out of park without brake depressed did not release. Vehicle was on flat level ground, the only way to correct problem required shutting vehicle off and then restarting.once this process was conducted the safety device operated normally. In the three years of ownership this has happened three times and each time my resolution worked.

The contact owns a 2018 ram 3500. While the vehicle was in park, it automatically shifted into reverse and collided with a fence. The vehicle sustained rear end damage. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact suffered minor injures that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 300. *dt *dt *dt *dt *dt *dtwe ran the tests as requested. With the first 2 tests, the shift lever would not move from park without having your foot on the brake. The 3rd test determined there is no indicator chime or message if you leave the vehicle with it running whether the parking brake is on or not. We also tested to see what the truck would do if we put it in neutral in the position he had the truck at the time of the accident, it immediately went forward.lastly we tested for the in between park and reverse probability. We found there is definitely a position between p and r where the shift lever will go into and you are able to exit the truck. No indicator/warning given at this point but the p was flashing. While sitting in the truck and it being in this in between position the truck did not move forward or back. So in this position the truck acts as if it's in park not neutral as it does not roll forward. Also while in this in between position you can drop the lever down into reverse without applying the brake. As you stated, there is no way for us to safely check to see how long the truck would stay in this in between position once leaving the truck. We do know it will stay for some amount of time as we tested that without leaving the truck. The lever does slide down into reverse very easily from this in between position.some with a level to show the slope and damages.*dt *dt the consumer stated there were no more occurrences due to the fact they are conscientiously using the parking brake *dt*dt'parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally ide

The abs and tc lights came on and beeped. The message board said service abs. The brake pedal became spongy and unresponsive. I called a dealership and they stated they have changed a bunch of hydraulic brake pumps on the ram pickup especially this year model.i asked is this a safety problem? after hesitation he said yes. My other ram is doing the same thing and i know of another 2018 a friend had changed at 10,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2018 ram 3500. The contact had not experienced any steering failures until it was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 19v021000 (steering). Keffer chrysler jeep dodge ram (8214 e independence blvd, charlotte, nc 28227, (704) 532-1050) indicated that the interim repair was to weld two bolts onto the steering linkage until the part was available from the manufacturer. The contact wanted the drag link assembly replaced. The vehicle was not able to receive an alignment correctly and the dealer cleared the recall campaign. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was unknown.

Front steering arm couplers came loose

While turning around on a paved cul de sac type end of road area i could not complete the turn 100% turning left. I stopped, put truck in reverse and turned the wheel right in order to back up some. Truck would not move hardly at all. Initially i thought the 4wd or transmission was "locked". I put truck in park and found the passenger side tie rod end/drag link separated from the knuckle. The tie rod end ball socket had apparently separated from the male ball part connected to the knuckle due to a "crack" in the metal. See attached picture. Truck was flat bed towed to rick hendrick dodge, savannah hwy, charleston sc.

The contact owns a 2018 ram 3500. The contact was informed of nhtsa campaign number: 19v021000 (steering), but did not receive a notice. The contact took the vehicle to two different dealers, including ferman chrysler jeep dodge ram tampa (813-929-2400, located at 24314 state road 54, lutz, fl 33559). The contact was informed that there was no remedy other than welding the steering nut solid. The dealer also stated that the warranty would expire after 36,000 miles. The contact did not want to weld the steering nut solid. The contact stated that the loss of directional steering control caused the outside edge of the front passenger tire to wear out. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.

The contact owns a 2018 ram 3500. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle started shaking. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to landmark dodge chrysler jeep ram (6850 mt zion blvd, morrow, ga 30260, (770) 968-4900) where it was diagnosed that a tire replacement, alignment and drag link adjustment needed to be performed. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was previously repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 18e096000 (steering) prior to the contact taking ownership of the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.

I purchased a new 2018 ram 3500 that had safety recall v06/nhtsa 19v-021 work performed on it prior to me purchasing the truck.i was not made aware of this prior to my purchase and i'm extremely concerned about the "fix" that ram has done.the recall calls for the welding of steering components rather than the replacement of the defective parts. Now that the welding has been done i have been told i will no longer be able to have the front tires aligned without cutting the welds first in order to make the necessary adjustments.then the welding procedure will need to be performed again i guess.the current safety recall should be updated to require the replacement of the defective steering parts.

Welded draglink rendering the front suspension not able to be aligned.this was the approved recall process from fca. This is not an acceptable response to the issue, just a bandaid to the underlying issue.the recall was approved by fca and nhtsa. Approved repairs were performed by chryslerdodgejeepramcrestview, crestview, fl. 32536. Repair order 381821-open on 04/26/2019.

Due to safety recall v06, i am no longer able to adjust the steering wheel in my truck after an alignment, leaving the steering wheel in a $60k truck off. I have been in contact with chrysler since november 2020, and they continue to close my case and have not once returned a call. I expect this recall to be handled properly, and not just welded together.

Called dealer south shore chrysler dodge jeep ram 550 burnside aveinwood, ny 11096-1237516-371-1500after calling they said to bring in vehicle. When i got there i was told they can not do this recall at this location. I told them on the phone my vin nbr and the recall but they said they could not repair it. They recommended dodge dealer in westbury ny. When i called them they said the next appointment was in august. I told them this was a recall that involved the steering, but they said august was next appointment.they gave me phone nbr for dodge who got in touch withstar chrysler jeep dodge fiat211-10 jamaica avenuequeens village, ny 11428-1541718-479-6200.i asked them to make sure this dealer could do the work and was told that they could. I dropped the truck off tuesday 5/28. Just got a call from the service dept and they said they can not do this repair . This is the second dealer who was told about the recall and said to bring it in, but could still not perform the repair. This is a safetry issue involving the steering and should be fixed asap.

When hitting bumps or uneven pavement at speeds above 50 mph the truck will sometimes start shuddering and vibrating violently almost causing total loss of control. The only way to stop it is to come to a complete stop. It does not do it on all bumps or rough roads. It seems to be more frequent when hitting a bump in a curve or hitting a bump with first one wheel then the opposite wheel hits one.it does this loaded or unloaded and has done it while pulling a 16000 pound fifth wheel rv.the truck only has 16000 miles on it and has done it about 10 times since it was purchased.i have had it in the shop and was told they could not find any problem. I have it back in the shop at a different dealership and have started a ticket with chrysler. So far they have done nothing.

The contact owns a 2018 ram 3500. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to m&l chrysler dodge jeep ram (406 piedmont dr, lexington, nc 27295, (336) 295-1329) to be repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 19v021000 (steering). The contact mentioned that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for a wheel alignment and the nuts on the track bar were welded. The contact was concerned and stated that the recall repair was not performed correctly. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000.

Safety recall v06 / nhtsa 19v-021 drag link - january 25, 2019this so called fix is abhorrent! it calls for welding an adjustable part of the steering linkage rendering it non- adjustable when having the front end aligned in the future. Not to mention the effect of welding, potentially causing a problem with the integrity of the metal. The correct fix for this safety issue is to replace this steering linkage component, the entire drag link! not do a "back yard, shade tree mechanic" weld job on the steering linkage of all things! i am appalled that nhtsa approved such a thing. Please revisit this issue and do the right thing. Require chrysler (fca us llc) to replace this defective part with the proper part. Note.... Chrysler is not welding the nuts on the drag links on trucks coming off the assembly line! they are coming off with proper, safe, adjustable drag links!signed, owner of a 2018 ram 3500 which i ordered and purchased new.

I had recall vo6 completed by a dealer last week.the 2 jam nuts were welded to the adjustment for the drag link. I noticed that my steering wheel was not centered, and looked under the truck and found that the inspection marks were on the back side of the assembly.i took a wrench and could still turn the adjuster and centered my steering wheel.i was under the impression that the jam nuts stopped the adjuster from turning, but it doesn't on mine, so i fail to see how welding the nuts to the adjuster did any good.now the jam nuts and adjuster are all one assembly and the whole unit turns rather easily.this welding fix did nothing to remedy the problem with the recall.

The contact owns a 2018 ram 3500. The contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 19v021000 (steering). South shore chrysler dodge jeep ram (516-371-1500, located at 550 burnside ave, inwood, ny 11096) was contacted and indicated that they did not service large trucks such as the contact's model and did not have the tools to service the recall campaign. Star chrysler jeep dodge ram (718-479-6200, located at 211-10 jamaica ave, queens village, ny 11428) stated that they were unable to provide the tools, part, and welding that may be required to service the recall. The manufacturer contacted garden city jeep chrysler dodge ram srt (283 n franklin st, hempstead, ny 11550, 516-483-2700) and was informed that the part would not be provided until mid december of 2019. The manufacturer was contacted to address part availability. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owned a 2018 ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving 5 mph while on a mountain side, within seconds the vehicle tumbled down off the cliff into trees which stopped the vehicle from going down 8 feet into a river. The contact felt that there was a failure with the steering wheel. The driver and front passenger were able to exit the vehicle when the vehicle came into a stop. The driver sustained laceration on the left elbow, bruises and left shoulder injuries and the front passenger sustained bruises. Medical attention was not received due to costs. A police report was filed. The contact stated that he was unaware if any warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot and was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic testing. The vehicle was destroyed. The vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 19v021000 (steering). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 64,000.

Ram issued a recall for it's steering linkage that may come apart. The solution was to weld the bolts so they can not be loosened.the fix now fails to allow the steering wheel to be properly centered when the vehicle needs an alignment and the wheel is out of center.i was told by the alignment shop that they have been told via a memo from chrysler that they are not to cut the welds and to refer the customer back to the dealership.the dealership refused to correct the problem because another tire store did the initial work and not the dealer. The alignment company is les schwab in reno, nevada and the dealership refusing to do the work is dolan ram, 700 kietzke lane, reno, nevada

I have received notice about recall v06/19v-021 and have concerns about the "fix". Welding of the steering components will remove the built in adjustablity for a tire alignment, as well as being in violation of 49 cfr393.209 which states that steering components cannot be fixed by welding. The v06/19v-021 recall needs to be updated to provide a new component that does not require welding.

The contact owns a 2018 ram 3500. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired per an unknown recall to weld the drag nut link. The contact was concerned that the recall remedy would cause the vehicle to not have an alignment performed. The manufacturer was notified and stated that nhtsa was in charge of agreeing to the remedy. The dealer was not contacted. The contact had not experienced a failure.

My 2018 ram 3500 has had a bad vibration in it since i purchased it with 20,000 miles on it. I have tried 3 different sets on tires and a new set of wheels. The vibration causes the seats, mirrors and anything not secured to shake really bad. I have taken it to 4 different shops with no luck in repairing. This has been an ongoing problem.i believe i have narrowed it down to the driveshaft, leaf springs, or the factory air suspension. Very disappointing for an $80,000 vehicle!

We took you vehicle to the dealer pursuant to recall notice v06 to have the drag link replaced. A temporary fix was performed due to the part not being available to complete the recall requirements. The temporary fix has caused the vehicle to wear out the right front tire every 2000 miles due to the camber being severely out of adjustment. The dealer referred us to chrysler care and chrysler care referred us to your office. We need chrysler to complete the safety recall repair to our vehicle.

I have a recall u40 nhtsa 18e-028 that i received in the mail. This is for a faulty mopar gooseneck ball. According to our dealer, he and i checked on your site and our vehicle has no recalls. Yet i have the notice from fca. The dealer would replace the ball but at our expense since we do not have this recall show on our vin. What do i believe??? the recall notice or the fact that recall is not listed with our vin so part is okay? this could be a life threatening defect if we lose a trailer off of our pickup going down the road. Please advise. Thanks

Dodge ram integrated brake controller faulty.towing 2015 29.5 t arctic fox 5th wheel and the brake system will not stop the trailer.when idle, without using truck brakes, the truck and trailer move forward, even if the gain on the controller is manually set to 10.manipulating the gain makes no difference.trailer brakes tested and certified by dealer as operarational.dodge dealership in folsom is trying to resolve, the truck purchased new and has 4000 miles on it. On two occassions they have not be able to fix. Next step taking 5th wheen and truck to dealership to demo problem.on-line forms state the itbs from dodge is an issue and the brake system only work when going 35 mph or higher (needs confirmation from dodge). In event of an emergency we would not be able to stop that trailer and truck as effeciently if the brake system worked properly. Will keep you informed.

My 2018 3500 ram has been at shelor motor miles 3 weeks with no real answer on what's going on with it! they stated it was the turbo that was defaulted and now it's the cooling and c converter! this was a brand new truck paid in full at the time of purchase with 16k miles on it now that has quit! this is a company vehicle, not personal and you huys have made me lose thousands in revenue and wouldn't even give my driver a loner car when it stopped. Ive exhausted ever avenue i know, i personally came to virginia,9 hr away from my home just to get told another lie. I want to speak with someone asap and i want further actions taken.*ln

Cruise control intermittent function...may not turn on, may not turn off, may not disconnect or cancel at speed, may not cancel at speed with brake pedal. Bought the truck in march, 2020. No problems until june 12, 2020, when it failed to work consistently. Dealer wants $150 to diagnose, even though it was reported to fca in may of 2018. Web information shows widespread problems...2 links i found:https://www.equipmentworld.com/ram-trucks-caught-up-in-large-fca-recall-over-defective-cruise-control/https://www.ramforum.com/threads/cruise-control-stopped-working.66362/i bought the truck with 50k miles, now has 53k miles.

Cruise control failed to disconnect.upon repeated attempts to disengage the cruise control unit, the speed increased incrementally with each attempt.holding the cancel button caused the unit to appear to disengage, but releasing the cancel button caused the unit to reengage and accelerate.now, unit is inoperative.

Front steering arm couplers came loose

I own two of these trucks. They both have the same design flaw. The defroster vents do not place heat right in front of the driver. If you are in winter condition there is a vee of un-defrosted area right in front of the driver and if you drive in wintry freezing rain, ice will build up right in front of the driver even with the defrosters fully engaged.

Early on (before i noticed a recurring problem), while shifting into reverse, the rear view camera did not display in the rear view mirror.after shifting to forward, the rear view camera displayed in the rear view mirror showing what was behind me during the drive.after that, (occasionally) while shifting into reverse, the rear view camera located in the rear view mirror does not display.after researching blown fuses and such (basic troubleshooting), i found i have to turn the truck ignition off and then back on to get the display to work.after researching the problem online and finding a recall numbered: nhtsa campaign number 18v398000, i believe the recall should be adjusted to reflect (at a minimum of date of date of manufacture of my vehicle) the 2018 ram 3500 and all other vehicles affected by this recall.

I bought this brand new 2018 dodge in january of 2019 at the time of the incident it has four thousand miles on it and the incident happened on april 30th 2020. The front end began to vibrate .i pulled into a tire shopand they establish that the front left steer tire was cupping. It is a nexen tire that came on the brand new vehicle that only had 4000 miles on it. The spare tire did the samething in only 60 miles, also brand new tire that came with brand new truck. I took both tires to a certified next entire dealership and they tested them for me and circles all of the areas on both tires that were cupped causing the vehicle to vibrate. Dodge dealership and the tire warranty people are arguing and i'm stuck in the middle and i want new steer tires and a new spare and dodge still trying to figure out how they're going to handle this.the fact of the matter is faulty tires. Nexen roadians lt235/80r17, 4000 miles on a 2018 brand new dodge 1ton diesel.

Urgent: ram/mopar is unable to remedy the safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner.situation: in response to nhtsa safety recall number 21v-398, i messaged ram on 25 july. I requested an expedited replacement of my unsafe vehicle with an identical or similar vehicle; or that they refund the vehicle's purchase price in full, minus a reasonable allowance for depreciation.background: as a 100% disabled, medically retired afghanistan war veteran, i heavily rely on owning a safe, reliable vehicle to travel to medical appointments. Additionally, my vehicle is used to pick up and drop off family to/from elementary school. This recalled vehicle is my sole source of transportation. As such, i am deeply concerned about my vehicle's safety issue, which includes the risk of a wheel separating from the vehicle during operation, causing a vehicle crash without prior warning, and/or the wheel/tire posing a risk to other motorists.assessment: to allow reasonable time for ram/mopar to provide an available remedy, i waited two months before making my request. However, as a company that regards the safety of its customers as paramount, i asked ram to appreciate the seriousness and urgency of my request and that they acknowledge their duty to resolve this matter in a timely manner. Furthermore, i explained that i believe that a prudent company could foresee that a breach of this duty may proximately cause severe injury or death.on 26 july, a ram customer service call center rep advised me that an available remedy is not expected for at least four months and that in light of unprecedented parts/supply shortages caused by covid-19, it is reasonable for mopar to anticipate unforeseeable delays in having a repair solution within four months, or even within one year. Nevertheless, the rep stated that my request would not be honored and my case would not be elevated for further consideration.i appreciate any assistance that nhtsa can provide to resolve this matter.

Rear outside tire blew out at 25mph on a off ramp truck only has 4900 miles on it, caused a loss of control and load roll over and severe damage to my new truck!

We purchased a 2018 ram 3500 dually with nexen tires on it at 13,000 miles the belts in the front tires came apart at this time after doing some checking on line this has been going on with the nexen tires beginning in 2017 there are many reports about the nexen tires completely coming apart when towing. We contacted ram and they just sent us the contact information for nexen tires. We guess it must take some people getting killed from these nexen tires before anyone cares, that is unfortunate a major safety issue like this is ignored by ram & nhtsa we were driving our ram on the freeway when the front end started to wobble almost uncontrollably until we got under 40 mph it still wobbled but we could make it to discount tire to purchase new tires. We have the old tires. If we were towing our 5th wheel this may have caused a major accident.thank you,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'*pm

4 rear nexen oem tires defective; new truck driven home from dealership noticed serious vibrations shaking all seats in cabin at above approx. 65mph, took it back to original dealer, finnegan ram, rosenburg, tx. Following week with approx. 500 miles on vehicle.service dept. Advised me to drive it another 1000 miles or so to see if this issue resolves itself.it did not, i returned vehicle to allen samuel ram service dept., aransas pass, tx. For same original issue with approx. 1900 miles on vehicle.4 rear tires were found to be defective.i am presently trying to resolve a warranty claim after 2 weeks in service center.my 2015 ram 3500 drw had similar issue; front 2 tires defective; 1 blow out tread separation and other serious bulges fixing to separate as well.i will provide photos and additional information when resolved and pick up my truck from dealership.

Truck has 1052 miles on it. Bought is brand vew april 26, 2018. While towing a 15,000lb fifth wheel trailer traveling at 65mpg on the new jersey turnpike, i felt a vibration and immediatley pulled to the shoulder. I found that 6 out of 8 lugs sheared off the passenger side dually, leaving two lugs holding the dually wheels on. This is a major concern for me and feel a major safety issue. If i did not pull over the wheels would have fallen off and a catastrophic crash would have occured. I would like the lugsexamined by a forensic examiner to determine the cause, i have no knowledge of why this event happened and am concerned about a reoccurance. My wife and i could have been killed. This truck is made to tow 30,000lbs abd i was towing only 15,000 lbs. Truck is currently at chapman dodge of horsham p.a. Updated 10/9/18

Riding down interstate 75 and vehicle began shimmying to the point of had to drive below 40 mph. Drove to ram dealership in lake city fl. Was told the right front tire was separating. Mind you, it only had 13,000 miles on it. Ram dealership said they were seeing a lot of this with these nexen roadian htx tires. They said if i had kep driven much farther, it could have came apart and caused an accident.
