I have a new 2015/3500 dually, with air ride, advertised at 30k towing capacity, the air ride system doesn't work, it has the death wobble in the front end, the lights flicker at night when it's cold, the roof has leaked water since i took delivery in the last week of july 2015, it has been in the shop more than i have been able to drive it, almost lost control at freeway speeds several times when hitting a bump, the dealer and chrysler say it is overloaded because i have a toolbox and a fuel tank in the back, i have weighed it myself on certified scales, and it's not overloaded, it has most recently been in the shop since the first monday in jan. The 4th, 23 days so far, and they haven't even got the roof leak fixed, i told them you still haven't fixed the air ride system, or addressed the lights flickering at night in cold weather, can someone please do some intervention, this truck was 72k new and a lemon from day one.

My truck 2015 dodge ram 3500 with 15k miles air bag on driver side is not working is the driver frontal squib 2 control circuit opencode# b000213 and driver frontal squib 1 control circuit open code# b000113

Manufacturing defect in a drainage rail on sunroof causes water to run into electronics and side curtain airbag and its wiring. This leaking occurs when the vehicle is in motion and when stationary. Here's a youtube video of my findings. Https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qmxfk_uuvy4&t=29s

The contact owns a 2015 ram 3500. The contact stated that the doors would not lock manually with the master door panel or remotely with the key fob. The door ajar warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that a pin connector for the door failed and needed to be repaired. The contact also stated that the pcm and bcm were repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,000.

The integrated trailer brake module fails with no warning.when replaced it fails again.this happens when towing and the driver has no warning of failure until the brakes are applied.in an emergency stop this has proven to be a risk to property and lives. This is a consistent problem with dodge ram truck from 2015 on. *dtconsumer stated internal trailer brake controller was replaced and vehicle has been repaired.

The new dodge ram equipped with cummins diesel experience a dead pedal, or pedal delay when pressing the gas pedal 3/4 to full throttle. This poses a serious risk when needing to get out of the way, or move the vehicle under emergency circumstances. This happens under all conditions: stopped, rolling, under acceleration etc. If you push the pedal too far the truck will not respond to operator commands and will take 1.5-2 seconds to start picking up speed. This is a seriously dangerous situation and someone is going to get killed or seriously injured. There is not excuse for a vehicle not responding to driver input. Manufacture claims "turbo lag", this is simply not true. You can build turbo boost, monitored on the vehicle gauge, then press the pedal to the floor, the truck will not respond for 1.5 to 2 seconds. Please look at further information on the cummins forum below, it has numerous articles about this issue. Here as a link to just one of them.http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/2013-general-discussion/1836593-very-slow-throttle-response.htmlplease, help fix this issue before someone gets hurt or killed due to the inability to move the vehicle out of harms way. This tsb somewhat addresses the problem, but only fixes it partially, not to thepoint that it is safe. Tsb 18-041-15i believe the manufacture knows this is an issue, but is not fixing it due to emissions related programming on the vehicle. There are aftermarket solutions to this problem, however they void the manufacture warranty, and im not willing to lose my warranty on a new vehicle. I will be submitting another one of these for my 2015 as well, since they both have the same issue. Thank you.

Vehicle attempts to do over the air software update of uconnect system while driving. Update does not install and shuts system down causing loss of navigation, back up camera, and emergency assistance calling. Creates a dangerous situation when towing a large horse trailer with live animals on board, and relying on navigation and other systems for assistance.

This is a particularly dangerous situation because there is no method to know, in advance, the factory integrated trailer brake module (itbm) will fail to provide full voltage to the electric trailer brakesi attached my 13,000 pound fifth wheel trailer to my truck and following the itbm setup steps in the owners' manual, the results were as expected. There were no warnings or indicators signaling an issue with the itbm's ability to apply the trailer's electric brakes.on typical city/urban driving the braking effort from the trailer was as expected. Once i entered a more rural setting and roadway speeds increased to 50 mph i discovered, as i approach a fast changing traffic light, hard braking the truck did not send enough braking signal to the trailer and as a result i was pushed well into the intersection. Fortunately the intersection was clear and no injury or accident resulted..i verified with dexter axles, the axles used on my trailer, the maximum braking effort from their electric brakes is 12 volts at 3 amps per wheel. I measure the voltage going into my trailer brakes with the itbm set to maximum gain, heavy electric at 6.8 volts, the expected voltage was 11.9 volts. I did an ab test using another ram truck with the itbm and measured the expected voltage on the trailer brake line...it is important to realize there are no internal itbm mechanisms to detect this condition since there were no dtcs set when i took my truck to the dealer....updated 09/28/15

While pulling out into traffic the vehicle went into limp mode and would not speed up. A pop up in the center instrument panel showed service throttle position, took it to dealer said i was driving 2 foot. They said this happens when one foot is on brake and other on fuel pedal. To me this is a big safety concern. I was never told about this and from reading owners manual this was not cover in it. This should not of happen for i almost got rear ended for something that should not be in the system. This is a safety concern that should be taken out of the system completely. I am concern now of what might happen if this does it again while pulling out in traffic even while traffic is pretty clear. But if in a emergency this could be dangerous not only for me but for other drivers. Every one does not drive the same so this should be fix.

The contact owns a 2015 ram 3500. While driving 55 mph, the contact noticed that the odometer gauge stopped functioning. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact called arcadia motors chrysler dodge jeep (located at 731 w main st, arcadia, wi 54612, (608) 323-3118) and chilson chrysler dodge, llc (located at 1983 s prairie view rd, chippewa falls, wi 54729, (877) 317-2734) and informed them of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 621,369.

Right hand rear electric door window does not roll back up. I have to shut the engine off, wait for a few seconds and then turn it back on, sometimes it will roll back up with the drivers side door window control, other times i have to go around to the door itself and use the door switch to get it to roll up.

Too many details, but will try to bullet right to the issues: (truck was rear ended on highway 4/25/2016)-my truck was towed to dealership, but upon "completed repairs", i picked up at collision center-exhaust brake function on the turbo was weakened while in care of dealerships hands (or lack thereof) -during repairs of body damage only, someone re-calibrated my trucks speedometer to match my oversize tires.(this would be so much a concern, but the fact that my trucks exhaust brake was intentionally weakened via computer, "now we have a problem"-this issue was addressed to dealership as a safety concern as i tow a 16,000lb trailer for work. (along with noticeable whistle from turbo, which is undeniable evidence of damage to turbo)-first day towing through mountains "without" eb working properly, i almost wreck twice within 15 miles, all due to "weak eb"-after multiple trips to dealer, i am constantly told "truck drives fine, truck eb is working"-enough researching turbo and eb function, i am able to finally get insurance & dealership to repair turbo under claim-after repair, truck is given back to me with new turbo.eb is still extremely weak, whistle is gone, torque and tow/haul function have now been altered and compromised. -now we have 3 issues with the truck: extremely weak eb / extremely weak to non-existent tow/haul mode / torque extremely weak. (all functions that can be calibrated in the trucks computer)-dealership has been having my $60,000 truck handled with complete negligence and carelessness with placing repairs in hands of a mechanic with 2 months' experience.-2nd dealership now, wouldn't listen about computer concerns, replaced my new turbo instead.-words by second dealership "truck is working as designed".a tow truck that does not have its "tow/haul" engaging is not working as designed."accident waiting to happen"

Vehicle fails to start in cold weather below 55 degrees. When it is below 55 degrees, the win module will not recognize the key fob and vehicle will not start. I must keep inserting the key fob, turn it off and on, recycle door locks, open and close door. I have brought this to the dealer. No parts available. Brought it to chrysler's attention, no repairs or parts. If i needed to go anywhere in an emergency, it would be impossible. Attaching video of what i go through. Would like to know why chrysler does not have parts nor are they replacing defective parts under warranty.web site is not allowing me to upload a video of the problem

Tpms sensors being called out in wrong locations for rear tires.tpms was calling out tires in wrong positions and values.front was also calling it incorrect values.dually.problems with incorrect call outs caused multiple trips to repair shops, to repair tires that we're inflated properly but reading out on wrong side of vehicle.after last visit, dealer replaced two allegedly bad sensors while only one bad one was identified as bad by discount tire.while all tpms appeared to be reading after this repair, right rear outer tpms was reading a steady 68 psi while all other tires started off lower and increased appropriately as tires heated up with driving, this sensor reading did not change.due to crossed readings on front, right front tire was indicating low pressure while prosperous inflated, and left front went flat, due to incorrect tpms sensor readings, stranding vehicle until it could be replaced and taken to shop.consider chrysler recall p62 ... Also dealer now claims that inner and outer tires use the same stpms sensors, when other have reported that the inner and outer tires on the dually use different sensors.. Build date 10/2014 .... Looks like you. Needed to recall a broader range of dually than just the chassis cab for tpms dor 2015's under p62 i am at dealer again, as they bumble their way around fixing the tpms and attempting to also update the radio software from 15.17.5 to 18.45.01

The integrated trailer brake control in the 2015 ram trucks does not provide adequate brake control to the trailer brakes.i traded in a 2013 ram 3500 and the integrated controller allowed me to set up the brakes so i could lock the tires up, then i would back the voltage down slightly from there to get maximum braking performance from the trailer.with the new truck, there wasn't the ability to get much braking at all.dealers are telling those with the same trucks, that it is working as designed and there isn't a problem.monday, august 17th, i was approaching a stop sign, and began braking.the trailer brakes were ineffective due to the controller and i couldn't stop in time.i ended up in the middle of the intersection before i could stop. Luckily there was no cross traffic so there was no crash.the trailer weighs 2020 pounds empty, and it was hauling approximately 1400 pounds. The trailer controller was set at light electric, 7.5. ( l later tested heavy electric and it still doesn't provide adequate braking).after, i tested the trailer brakes (that i already knew were good) on another truck, and they worked perfectly.again, the integrated controller on my 2013 ram worked great, but the new ones simply do not allow the trailer brakes to work properly regardless of how much you turn up the voltage.i can not adjust it to get the brakes to provide significant braking from the trailer.ram is saying that there isn't a problem, but a quick internet search would say that there is certainly a safety issue, that if left unresolved will absolutely lead to injuries or fatalities.

In june 2016, towing a 14 foot light trailer up sonora pass on hwy 108 in california, the truck bucked, studdered and shook in first gear, stalled and slipped backward towards a 1000 foot cliff,it then lunged into gear and it was smoking the tires.i let it do that to gain traction and then slowly made my way back up.i cannot tow anything out of first gear without the bucking and studders, and losing forward momentum, anywhere.almost lost it all that day including my life and nothing has been done to fix the issue.2 dealerships in 2 states acknowledge the problem, state they have other customers that have the same problem but dodge cannot seem to understand a fix or the seriousness of this defect.the truck is not safe to tow anything anywhere and that is obsurd for a ram 3500.this truck is advertised as the number one truck for towing, but it just can't do the job safely.please view letter sent to dealership dated july 9th. 2016.

The tuck has a horrible lag in the throttle response.when trying to pull out into heavy traffic the truck lags more than it should.this has been happening since the day i bought it new with 16 miles on it.if you press the pedal more than half down from a stop you can count to 30 before it actually starts moving.there have been multiple times where this has almost caused an accident.i have been reading forums about this issues and have come up with 2 causes.1 the throttle control programing is set extremely conservative which will cause this.2 the one that almost everyone is reporting is that the dpf regen system is causing too much back pressure.people are reporting that when they delete the exhaust and egr off the truck it gets its power back. These systems never seem to completely clean out and all wise has high back pressure.

2015 ram 3500 laramie dually 4x4, 6.7 i6 cummins, aisin transmission. Truck experiences "dead pedal" under hard acceleration or when depressing pedal 3/4 to full throttle suddenly. This happens under all conditions: stopped, rolling, under acceleration. Advancing the pedal suddenly or completely down in emergency situations results in a 3-4 second delay where the truck will not respond, then slowly adds power. This is extremely dangerous as the truck will not respond to the drivers inputs. Possibly resulting in a crash or death. In several cases the truck has responded in the above described manor resulting in emergency action by the driver to avoid a crash or wreck. Problem has been occurring for the past 10 - 15k miles and still continues.as per the dealer servicing the vehicle. We were told nothing is wrong, this was normal and they refused to do anything about it. As per ram technical assistance "if the customer steps in the throttle, the vehicle will go into derate to keep the driveshaft off the ground. If you stay around 60 to 70% throttle then there is no derate. Sounds like the vehicle is operating as designed." a copy of the report has been provided with this report

Dead accelerator pedal.when applying accelerator there is a period of time when nothing happens.this is particularly concerning as it leaves the vehicle occupants and the vehicle essentially dead and in harms way while trying to maneuver in traffic, merging, turning, emergency avoidance, etc.

There is a definite delay in acceleration when pulling out in traffic. Sometimes 2 or 3 seconds or more. Also when driving in traffic if you let up on the accelerator and then resume accelerating it almost feels like the vehicle stalls. Very dangerous.

Manufacturers failed to remedy a recall for the water pump in a timely manner.

My dodge ram truck was the subject of three safety recalls, two of which were completed december 12, 2018.a third safety recall, t25/nhtsa 17v-302, that, at the time of my fire incident, had not been approved by chrysler for the work to be done.the two safety recalls were completed by a dealer approximately 80 miles away from my home.on the day after picking up my truck, the truck's engine compartment had a fire during my 1-mile drive home from work.i observed smoke coming from under the hood, turned off the motor, opened the hood and observed flames.my local fire department responded to the scene, but i had already extinguished the fire.i notified chrysler and they subsequently dispatched an investigator to my home to conduct an evaluation.on january 3, 2018, the investigator met with me and photographed my damaged engine compartment.the investigator had earlier informed me that chrysler would not pay for the tow to a dealership where a proper evaluation could take place.the safety recall indicated that, for my model and year of truck, the water pump could fail and "may" cause a fire in the engine compartment.today, january 19, 2018, i received a letter from fiat chrysler automobiles informing me that after their inspection of my vehicle, "the information at hand would not permit us to associate the fire with a manufacturing or assembly error..."their evaluation procedure was haphazard, at best, and handled in a very poor manner.i asked the evaluator about his professional background, and he was not an engineer, or a mechanic.he simply obtained photographs for his report.i do not understand how chrysler could make a reasoned decision in this matter without a proper evaluation by a trained engineer or mechanic.thank you for your time and consideration.

If you let up on the throttle for a traffic issue and press it back down quickly the throttle response goes dead for 1-2 seconds. This a real safety issue in left turns and/or merging into traffic. Aka dead pedal, which is well documented on internet sites associated with ram diesel pickups.

When accelerating (either from a stop or a rolling stop) and then braking and then accelerating again, the engine will hesitate.some call this "dead pedal" but i feel it's dangerous because it leaves vulnerable in traffic to a collision.it's happened to me numerous times and again today.i was at a 4 way stop and proceeded to accelerate when it was my turn, about 1/3 way into the intersection, a vehicle traffic ignored the stop sign and attempted to cross my line of travel.i had to break and then immediately accelerate and the truck hesitated which left me in the intersection.if the other vehicle had been traveling at a faster rate, it would have t-boned me.as it was, the other driver was able to maneuver his vehicle around me.to me, this isn't a delay in which the turbo spools up to help deliver power.it almostfeels like the throttle is dead however the truck is still running.the hesitation can last about a second or so but in that time, i feel the truck is unsafe.

The contact owns a 2015 ram 3500. The contact stated that with the key in the ignition, the vehicle failed to start with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The battery cables were disconnected and reconnected and the vehicle resumed normal operation. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The mechanic determined that the pcm failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 20v475000 (engine and engine cooling) as a possible solution to the failure however, the vin was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

Bought truck newand at 40k mile mark water pump assemby failed while driving on highwayat 75 mph towing camper, almost crashed, lost steering & control, truck almost caught fire, was so hot, steeming & smoking , mechanic couldnt touch hood for 45 minutes. Stranded for a week before fixed-now at the 80k mile mark re-call came out for exact problem and now theres no fix available ? rolling the dice with many lives ! afraid to drive the vehicle. All my issues documented at chrysler care. I can not believe they are letting people drive this vehicle with no fix ....i need help as well as all who own this vehicle original accident happend 3/2016

My 2015 ram 3500 has gone through 3 wheel alignment within a year 12000 miles. I also been getting a lot of bad fumes in cab where you have to open windows at around 20 to 40 mph or when you start truck while warming up in cold weather. I had wheels rotated and the tpms where reading wrong. It was not connecting with system in truck had to take to dealer to reset.

Truck has a bad hesitation when running slow and letting off the gas pedal and back in the gas. For example coming to a yield sign slowing down and then pressing the gas petal.....2-3 second delay before truck starts going.

Motor gone and don't have know replacement.

Consistently getting a p00af engine code. Pertains to the turbo boost actuator. Apparently this has become a common problem with many of the ram 6.7l cummins engines. This can lead to poor engine performance and eventually catastrophic engine failure. Currently the repair cost just for the actuator through mopar is $3000. Obviously this is a recurring issue with these trucks, at a substantial cost to the consumer. I began noticing that my engine brake would not engage when descending grades, and then i started getting an intermittent engine light would come on, now it comes on all the time. I had a local parts store look up the engine code for me and it logged a p00af condition. I googled the information and realized that this is a very serious issue that could become a very expensive repair if not addressed in a timely manner. In my opinion, a recall should be issued for this.

There is a definite delay in acceleration when pulling out in traffic. Sometimes 2 or 3 seconds or more. Also when driving in traffic if you let up on the accelerator and then resume accelerating it almost feels like the vehicle stalls. Very dangerous.

Dead accelerator pedal.when applying accelerator there is a period of time when nothing happens.this is particularly concerning as it leaves the vehicle occupants and the vehicle essentially dead and in harms way while trying to maneuver in traffic, merging, turning, emergency avoidance, etc.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 590.

Thank you.

The transmission is severely limited by torque management. If you step on the gas pedal the truck barely moves. It moves at its own pace instead of being under your control. This can creates some very dangerous merging situations where you are trying to merge with traffic and the truck decides it won't move. You end up half way committed and half way not.

On pressing the accelerator pedal, there is a noticeable hesitation before the powertrain responds.i fear one day getting t boned (side impact) from another motorist that is unable to stop or not realizing this is happening to me and not slow down quick enough.this is only noticeable from accelerating from takeoff as in later gears the response from accelerator to response is faster.i bought this truck used almost 2 months ago and dealerships and ram cummins forums site this as a common problem!

Happened a year ago and again yesterday. Both times were similar situations: pulling out into traffic, doing a right turn on red - after stopping. Pull out with light throttle as normal and then power drops to nothing for a second or two and then it takes off! very disconcerting when traffic is coming at you. Btw: i'm a conservative driver and never hot rod and rarely use more than light throttle.

Under certain driving condition the throttle does not respond in a timely manner. In merging traffic if you let up on the throttle and then apply it again, the engine does not respond for up to 2 seconds. This is a very dangerous situation, in heavy traffic many have complained to fca/ram starting with the 2013 model through the current models. There are many similar complaints of "dead pedal" on each year and 2500 or 3500 with diesel engines, both with the 68rfe and aisin transmitter.some trucks and/or drivers have more trouble with the issue than others.it is past time for you to get ram to address this issue. I look through the manufacturers communication section and see no response to this issue. There are many complaints on your site cover this time frame for the year/models, and that is a tip of the iceberg.i have learn to drive around this issue most of the time, however i worry that my wife that drives the truck in the winter in arizona could get in a bad accident because of this.i would gladly talk to someone about this issue.

Bought truck newand at 40k mile mark water pump assemby failed while driving on highwayat 75 mph towing camper, almost crashed, lost steering & control, truck almost caught fire, was so hot, steeming & smoking , mechanic couldnt touch hood for 45 minutes. Dealer wont fix recalls....dealer says they do not have the parts....has been many many months and dealer says they do not have parts.

Durring normal driving conditions the vehicle has significant lag in throttle respose, as noted in forums as a "dead throttle". The delay can be as significant as a couple of seconds before the vehicle responds. I am afraid that it could occur in situation when accident avoidance is nessecary and the the vehicle will not respond causing an accident.the delay happens often, and has been doing it over the span of several months.

Takata recallwhen driving my vehicle on the highway or freeway at high speeds of 65 to 80 mph the whole truck begins to vibrate.have gotten it checked mechanically for faults.tires have been checked as well as steering components and suspension and everything is in good shape.was told that its normal for a 2015 ram 3500 dually to vibrate so much .its not.there absolutely no readon why a newish truck should vibrate so much that it feels like its going to fall apart on its own.its not normal and all the people on the forums with the same problem have been told by the dealers that it is normal.it is a driving hazard that its only a matter of time before dodge has lawsuits on its front door for neglicence on their part for the bad vibrations making bolts fall off and causing a wreck.

I was pulling out of a parking space and i hear a loud pop lots power steering and brakes system . The car is only 2 yrs old

I only have 15,000 miles and i already replaced front tires & have to replace them again front end is shaking so bad when you go over 40mph & i have spoke to other people that have the same problems with there 2014 dodge ram 3500!

The contact owns a 2015 ram 3500. While driving 35 mph, the brake boosters failed without warning and caused the brakes to seize. The vehicle was taken to three different dealers, but they could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the hydraulic brake booster unit failed and need to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.

This is a diesel powered truck.twice the hydraulic pressure created by the hydroboost unit has blown metal hoses apart resulting in complete and sudden loss of steering and brakes.fortunately the truck was operating at very low speed.if this had occurred at highway speed, it would have resulted in a crash and likely death.in both cases, ram replaced the hose and fluid under warraanty, but has not addressed the root cause, which isthat the hydroboost unit is defective.

The itbcm ( integrated brake control module) on my new truck has been replaced twice and re-flashed once. The brake controller works inconsistently. There are times when it will stop the trailer as intended and then there are times when it won't work at all or either won't emit enough braking power. This is a real safety issue. I use the truck to pull a 8k lb trailer (empty). When load with 3 cars i gross a combined weight of over 20k lbs. On numerous occasions the truck onboard display would display the message saying "trailer brakes disconnected/check trailer brake wires". When this occurs i lose the ability to stop my trailer. Pulling that much weight and without the ability to stop my trailer properly poses a real safety concern not only to me for especially to others on the highway. This is a major known issue on several forums concerning the ram itbcm. I just got my truck back today (9/19/2016) from the ram dealership after being there all week. I was told the mechanics ran several test and confirmed that the itbcm needed to be replaced again. This is the second replacement and it still doesn't work correctly. This problem first began with only a few hundred miles on the truck. Once i got to 24k miles it got worst the more i used it for towing. Now i'm at 30k miles and the problem remains even after repairs. Something seriously needs to be done about this. People lives are at stake. This problem occurs randomly at times when i'm traveling 65mph on the highway and even when taking off from a stop. I paid money to get my trailer inspected just to make sure that it wasn't the problem. I even hooked my truck up to another working trailer and had the same message display.

When towing my 13000 pound trailer, i noticed that the electronic trailer brake controller in my truck will provide sufficient braking power to stop at slower speeds. However, when a harder/faster stop, such as when i was traveling at 45-50 mph is required there is not sufficient braking to the trailer. I was not able to stop as quickly as i should have.i tested the voltage on the controller with the settings to maximum (gain at 10 and manual slider to 100%) and was only getting 7.5 volts. The reading should be closer to 12 volts. The brakes on my trailer were inspected and are working correctly.the dealer said the controller was working as designed. This is a safety issue that the dealer is overlooking and can lead to accidents/fatalities. This seems to be an issue with the 2015 vehicles and the factory brake controller.

The contact inquired with the dealer to have the brake boosters adjusted because the dealer stated that they failed without warning.the contact mentioned that this was the fourth time the brake boosters failed. While driving, the brakes seized and the vehicle would not stop. Per the manufacturer's orders, the dealer replaced the brake boosters as a courtesy. The manufacturer agreed to have the failure repaired, but stated that this was the last courtesy or reimbursement. Any additional failures regarding the brake boosters would be at the contact's expense. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

The contact owns a 2015 ram 3500. While driving 35 mph in the rain, the brake pedal was depressed and failed to engage while making a loud grinding noise. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The dealer could not duplicate the failure, but performed a software update on the brakes, traction control, air suspension, and towing packet. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 15,500.

Integral trailer brake controller works contrary to industry standard controllers.the function of the electric brake "override lever" does not override controller setting and apply full power to the trailer brakes.the integral controller on this vehicle will only supply override voltage proportional to the sensitivity setting of 0 to 10 and the speed of the vehicle.when stopped the sensitivity varies the override voltage between 0 to 7 volts dc.safety item.at very slow speeds less the 10 mph and the sensitivity set at max 10 the output of the controller override is 7.2 vdc and 7.2 amps.at 35 mph the output was 10.3 vdc and 10.9 amps.at 45 and 55 mph the output was at its maximum 11.5 vdc and 11.5 amps. The braking curve was almost the same with the sensitivity set at 10 and heavy vehicle braking produced the same voltage amperage curve.the safety problem is that the "override function" is speed related whereas industry standard has the override switch bypass all other setting and apply full battery power 12 vdc to the brake control system.i will point out from my 50 plus years of towing the need of full emergency override power to the trailer brake system.snow, ice, or black ice, all require very slow vehicle movement and therefore very little override power, careful use of the override function can prevent a "jack knife" situation.going down a steep gravel hill, like snow and ice you rarely if ever use the vehicle brake but depend on the override control use to keep everything straight.since the override function is speed dependent full override at low speeds will not apply enough power to control the trailer.15mph idle full override 200 years to stop.[xxx]bsme msme.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

While driving on highway cruise control failed to work, brake light went on and steering wheel turned upside down.*dt *dtboth jam nuts were found to be loose.

I have the integral trailer brake controller on my truck and i hooked up to my camper for the first time with the new truck, [the trailer brakes worked fine with the truck that i replaced] i had very limited braking power on trailer brakes, i did some tests on the trailer brakes first and found that they are working properly, then i did a test on the brake controller and found out the trailer brake controller is only putting out around 9 volts when set to maximum gain and fully applied, it should be 12 volts or higher, i took it to the dealer and they replaced the trailer brake control module, the brakes are no better and im afraid to tow now and can't even use this truck for what i bought it for, the dealer says that's how the controllers work now which is unsafe and unacceptable.

Circa npoon 5/6/16 intersection of pomona st and orangethorpe , fullerton, camy 2015 ram 350 w/3009 miles failed to stop while25 ft behind a late model camray, at less than 1 mph the abs failed tota;lly. The 87 year old driver in the camray was bumped 15 ft and sufford adented left bumper, fender and tail light.my wife was in the passenger seat of the ram as a witness and a fullerton police officer witnessed the accident,he failed to make a report to the best of my knowledge.. I had no option but to hit the camray, as if,i swerved to the left i would have hit oncoming traffic and if i swerved right i might have killedpedestrians in the cross walk! .i had no choice, but use the camray to stop since the ram abs system failed totally.i refused to drive the ram 3500 with out brakes, so i paid aaa to tow the ram back to the dealer mcpeek's dodge in anaheim, ca

I was towing my travel trailer and entered a slight left turn at approximately 50mph when my front driver side tire started to shake/wobble uncontrollably. I slowed down and it stopped. Dealership replaced both front hubs and bearings. When i hit a small bump while turning and not towing, it still shakes/wobbles uncontrollably. I notified dealership about it and they still failed to make the repair. The vehicle is still under warranty.

I was pulling out of a parking space and i hear a loud pop lots power steering and brakes system . The car is only 2 yrs old

Truck has 26,300 miles on it.7 days after getting the truck serviced and aligned at my local dealer, while driving at 70 mph on the highway in gainsville, fl, the steering wheel slowly became mis-aligned to the left by over 180 degrees, causing reduced ability to steer to the left, a check engine light, a failure of the anti-lock brake control module, and failure of the cruise control.i stopped at nearest dealer who said the truck was unsafe to drive, but did not have anyone available to look at it for at least a week and offered no further options.being as i was 200 miles from home, i took the truck to an independent mechanic who determined that the steering drag link jam nuts were loose allowing the drag link to rotate at random.he was unable to tell whether the dealer failed to tighten them after the alignment or because they were never tightened at the factory.the drag link was re-set to center the steering wheel and the jam nuts were tightened.i was advised that had i not stopped to have it fixed, the drag link could have continued to loosen causing a complete loss of steering control.a quick google search indicates this to be a recurring problem with these trucks.

The contact owns a 2015 ram 3500. The contact stated that the bolts on the steering tie rod loosened when driving at various speeds. The steering tie rod malfunctioned and caused the steering to be unstable. There were no warning lights illuminated. Neither the dealer nor an independent mechanic found any failures, but stated that the alignment was off. The dealer stated that the threads on the tie rods were fine, but needed to be re-adjusted. The failure continued to recur. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 9,000.

Lost steering to the left, only 2 inches of travel. Drag link adjustment lock nuts backed off on there own. Almost hit 3 vehicles including a wv state trooper. Received a warning ticket for defective equipment.

Recall v06 allows welding of adjustableparts.this means when steering needs adjustment in future, the owner is stuck with buying all new parts to replace the welded parts!!!how can you allow this burden being shifted to the owners when fca caused the problem by not threading the parts correctly?

Death wobble violent shaking tire bouncing or something. While driving the truck and turning slightly left, i hit a small bump on the road and my truck started vibrating uncontrollably and i lost the ability to steer the vehicle.the vehicle vibrated so hard that i slid across other lanes of traffic to my right without being able to steer.i brought the vehicle to a complete stop on the side of the road.after the complete stop, i was able to drive and steer the vehicle.since this incident happened, i have had the same issue happen when i'm driving while turning and hitting a bump.i've had this happen on interstate highways, state highways and flyover on ramps.the dealership does not know what is wrong and is unable to fix the problem at the moment.

Drag link was tack welded by dealer as a temporary fix but will not replace it with the upgrade.i cannot get a wheel alignment unless i purchase a new drag link for 450.00 dollars

The contact was a lawyer calling on behalf of her client who owned a 2015 ram 3500. The lawyer stated while her client was hauling horses at an unknown rate of speed, the steering rod broke unexpectedly, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The driver drove down an embankment and hit a sign, totaling the vehicle. The lawyer was unaware if any warning lights were illuminated prior to the failure; the lawyer was also unaware if the air bags deployed upon impact. The driver nor the horses were injured due to the crash. The police were called and a police report was filed. Upon investigation, the lawyer discovered an active recall on the vehicle under nhtsa campaign number: 19v021000 (steering); which she linked to her client's failure. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was deemed a total loss. The manufacturer nor the dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

I can't drive my tuck due to the face the truck being to shake out of control and i have to pull over . I go the truck home but due to the insane shaking i do not drive the vehicle.

Drag link adjustments nuts are not tight. They are supposed to be torqued to around 120 ft-lbs. You can reach up and loosen them with your hand. This has affected a number of trucks in different states the problem is obviously at the manufacturer. Link to others having the same problem.http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/2013-general-discussion/1813273-warning-check-your-steering-now.htmlthe pitman arm nut is also not torques to spec and very loose. Anyone of these could be a serious safety issue.

The contact owns a 2015 dodge ram 3500. While driving 55 mph and hauling a trailer, the steering wheel began to turn independently counter clockwise and blocked the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not duplicated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The steering wheel began losing it's function after turning out of my driveway, while i was driving down my street, at approximately 20-25 mph. It would turn approximately 90 degrees with no affect suddenly. I had it transported to the reno dodge dealership. They at first tried to charge me for a realignment. I took it to another repair shop, and they identified that there was a recall on this issue due to a failure in the 'drag linkage.' i went back to reno dodge and they admitted there is a recall, but they didn't have the updated infirmation from chrysler, so they would nit fix it. I had the repairs done at the other shop, and fca has now been avoiding reimbursing me. They kept telling me they couldn't identify my vin, then the had other 'technical difficulties',they close my case as soon as they open it! they have done this 4 times now!

The contact also stated that the pcm and bcm were repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,000.

I only have 15,000 miles and i already replaced front tires & have to replace them again front end is shaking so bad when you go over 40mph & i have spoke to other people that have the same problems with there 2014 dodge ram 3500!

I can't drive my tuck due to the face the truck being to shake out of control and i have to pull over . I go the truck home but due to the insane shaking i do not drive the vehicle.

Shake in the truck beginning at 65mph up to around 75mph. I have replaced tires, rims, rebalaced tires, replaced steering stabilizer shock, tried running at different tire pressures, all with no improvement in the shaking.

The truck was recalled and a temporary weld was placed on the front steering alignment until parts could be obtained for a permanent fix. Now it shows as repaired but a permanet repair was never made. I can not align my steering because it is welded. At the very least this will cause uneven tire wear and premature replacement

Many consumers are referring to the issue as "death wobble". At highway speeds (50+) any slight bump will cause a violent wobble in the steering. There was a safety recall (r46) for 2013-2014s and chrysler indicated they took care of the issue but i am having the same issue with my 2015 ram 3500 laramie longhorn. In addition, the truck goes thru front tires in 10-15k miles.

Driver's side, front tire (original equipment nexen roadian) separated while driving straight on a highway at 55 mph.separation caused extreme vibration and instability. Caused truck to become undrivable.

The vehicle has a driver information display (did). There is a 7 pin connector for a 5th wheel trailer. While under tow, and using the brakes in the tow vehicle, the did randomly displays "check trailer brakes/trailer brakes disconnected" then at some point in time later (seconds or minutes) the message disappears and the trailer brakes return to a functioning condition. Ram and rv trailer technicians have tried to troubleshoot the problem unsuccessfully. The ram dealership said they retrieved an error code and replaced the brake module. The problem still persists. Have you received any other similar reports?

When starting from a stationary or near stationary position, the truck will hesitate for 1-2 seconds if the accelerator is fully depressed.the acceleration must be slow and gradual to avoid the hesitation.the is dangerous when slowly merging into traffic.

Two years and repeated visits to determine a gross lack of acceleration. Almost non responsive at times. Also a gear shift slam at times. Dangerous lack of power to accelerate tocross multiple lanes, acceleration at metered on ramps and crossing against traffic. Have all service records for past two years, at least two separate dealership service departments and no change in performance or solution to issue

Integrated trailer brake controller not functioning properlycannot apply enough voltage and amperage to trailer brakes to properly stopwhether stopped or while moving, maximum gain cannot apply enough stopping power.3 trailer experts have told me the power is insufficient trailer brakes have been serviced

Tipm, rear end leaks, transmission replaced, def pump replaced, knox, egr valve replaced, turbo sensor, this truck cost 2 dollars a mile to operate, bringing it into the shop is like pulling teeth horrible it's two to three weeks.

Before i had 7500 miles on vehicle i had to replace both steer tires due to separation that was determined to be defective tires, since the i have had to replace 3 additional tires for same defect, complete separation of build material that has caused extreme bounce and vibration resulting in 5 tires being replaced due to defects, retailer that has handled the last 3 stated this is very common to the ram trucks with these nexen brand tires

Driver's side, front tire (original equipment nexen roadian) separated while driving straight on a highway at 55 mph.separation caused extreme vibration and instability. Caused truck to become undrivable.

During a trip on an improved highway, the front end began to shake violently.the steering wheel was hard to keep ahold of at 50 mph.at this time the truck had 17596 miles on it.when we returned home i called my dodge dealer, landers mclarty to express my concern of the truck performance.subsequently i brought the truck in for an inspection and resolution of the problem.the report was that the tires were cupped and i needed new tires.i felt that this should be treated as defective equipment and that they should cover the cost.the tires are nexon tires from s. Korea.at 17596 miles they should not fail that soon.i was told by the gm that they have trouble with tires on 'thiskind of truck and that i got good usage at 1759 miles. Am taking the the vehicle to an independent truck center to have an inspection and remediation f tires if needed. Have been told that 17596 miles is too soon for tires to fail.dodge ram dealer, landers mclarty refuses to honor my 10 year warranty due to tire problem.

The front tires wear excessively on the outer edges. I have taken it to fletcher dodge 3 times to correct the issue. The service department acknowledged that this is a problem they have seen before with this model vehicle. Fletcher dodge did replace the 2 front tires and performed an allignment. Chrysler set up a star account and worked on it. Chrysler acknowledged there is a problem but do not know what it is and there is nothing they can do, and it is caused be towing heavy loads. I drive it mostly and from work.i use a 2 horse trailer about 4 times a year for aproximately 340 miles and hay 3 times a year for approximately 40 miles.

2015 dodge ram 3500 dually with 28,000 miles on it and i have already replaced 3 of the 6 tires due to tire tread separation.i have never experienced anything like this before, but have never owned this brand of tires either.these are the original tires that came on the truck to begin with.very poor tire!
