Tl-the contact owns a 2010 dodge ram 3500. The contact stated while driving approximately 10 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle restarted and resumed in operation. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. The vin was unavailable.js

Win ignition module has slowly been causing difficult starting problems. Now, over even slight bumps, the sloppiness in the connection between the key and the win module allows the key to move and the vehicle to shut off while driving. This is becoming more and more common and is very dangerous. Just on my 10 minute drive home from work today, it occurred 4 times. One time, i had just turned right on a red light (with plenty of space between me and oncoming traffic) and the truck shut off completely. Without the key being in the exact right position, i had difficulty restarting the truck and could have been very dangerous to me and the vehicle coming toward me.

Vehicle sudden shutdown with burnt electrical odor being emitted from under the hood.smoke/fire from fuse panel (computer module) continued until batteries were disconnected.same failure occurred while vehicle was parked approximately 2 years ago requiring replacement of effected components.again, smoke evolving from panel until power removed by disconnecting batteries.

When i'm driving on the highway the truck just shuts me, no matter what the speed, this situation happened to me on more than one occasion, to be accurate more than 10 times.when this happens i try to start the truck andi have to try many times but it is not easy to me, i worry about this, because the last two time this happened my family was riding with me, this problem started shortly after buying this truck.

Received recall notice on december 1, 2014 stating that the diesel fuel heater electrical connector may overheat and cause a fuel leak. The diesel fuel heater housing at the fuel heater electrical connector may overheat, leading to the failure of the o-rings that seal the male electrical terminals in the diesel fuel filter/heater assembly. A leaking diesel fuel filter/heater could cause underhood smoke and/or an engine compartment fire. As of today, february 21, 2015 there is no remedy available per the nhtsa website and the local dodge dealer has confirmed as such. Since there is no remedy available, the local dealership wants to charge me to inspect it for the problem. I don't feel that i should have to pay to have a recalled vehicle inspected for the recall nor should i have to wait three months or more for a solution from the manufacturer. Also,i cannot believe that 82 days after the date on the recall notice there is no remedy. This is ridiculous. This vehicle was purchased to work, not sit in the yard. We have no other vehicle to use in place of it. If dodge does not have any diesel fuel filter/heater assembly components to replace the recalled ones, they need to get their priorities in order as existing customers should come before potential new customers. I need my truck repaired asap!

While driving at posted speed in houston traffic the engine quit running, causing a loss of steering,i was able to clear traffic and coast to the shoulder, after putting the vehicle in park the engine restarted and i continued on. I reported this incident to martin chrysler dodge in cleveland tx. I asked the service rep. If he had heard of any similar incidents he said no and there were no recalls for this.the problem has gotten worse, now i haveto jiggle the key to make sure it does not shut off after starting but this does not always work, if i hit a bump or rumple strips in the road it may still die. To replace the ignition switch is between 400 and 500 at the dealership. I believe this is a problem that chrysler should foot the bill on not the consumer. The situation with the engine dying while driving at a high rate of speed in traffic could cause a very serious accident.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge ram 3500. The contact stated that while hauling a trailer, the vehicle would randomly disconnect the trailers parking lights. The contact mentioned that he would not drive the vehicle for a couple of days and the lights would began to function normally. The vehicle was taken to a dealer twice, who decided to reset the computer on both occasions. The remedy did not correct the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 1,000 and the current mileage was 13,000.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge ram 3500. The contact stated that the vehicle was difficult to stop when the brakes were applied. The vehicle was taken to the dealer three times to have the brake control module replaced; however, it did not correct the failure. The dealer stated that they do not know how to permanently fix the problem. The failure mileage was 400 and the current mileage was 11000.the consumer stated as of 05/12/11 the brakes still do not work properly. The problem is due to the trailer brakes. The consumer stated it takes a long time to stop when connected to the 5th wheel. Updated 08/04/11

I took my truck in for the first tie rod recall when it firstcame out...when i got my truck back i kept hearing a weird noise for a few weeks...ended up finding out that my rim was so loose it almost fell off....i ended up needing ball joints and new tires soon after...about 6000 miles later started feeling front end sloppiness. ..took it to mechanic and needed tierod....wanted recall done on block heater but parts were not available. ..got that answer multiple times....this recall to me is as importantif not more that the other as it results in fire.....i'm nothappy at all and i want my vehicle bought back...it's not safe....they say no, i disagree

I have the 6.7 cummins diesel engine. While stopped and with the air conditioning on and while the truck is performing the regeneration process raw fuel and exhaust fumes enter the cab of the truck forcing me to roll my windows down. This has caused me to get lightheaded if i don't roll my window down in time. This happens about once every two weeks to me(each time the above conditions are met). Putting the air conditioning on recirculate will help. However recirculate will not work for the heater or window defroster which further impairs my ability to drive. I spoke to the dealer and they called dodge.dodge said that this is normal. This is not normal and is a serious health and safety issue.

At 17000 miles the oxygen sensor warning light came on and does not appear to hinder or effect the performance or handling of the truck. I asked the parts department if they had replacement parts and how much they cost. The informed me they cost $150.00 but did not have any and had no idea when they would have stock. This should be a recall for environmental reasons.

I have a 2010 dodge ram 3500 (single rear) 6 months old with (4000) miles. I was towing my camper (8000lbs) and the engine started knocking - i was told by the dealership that i purchased bad diesel fuel (kerosene in fuel) and it caused the injector to hydro-lock and flood a cylinder and this is not covered under warranty, and it will cost me ($1000+) to fix this vehicle.the analysis they conducted on the fuel was visual, and this was there final determination.i contacted chrysler corporate and i was told they could only go by what the tech says and there is nothing they can do for me. I called other dealerships to ask if they have had a run on diesel vehicles with bad fuel and not one of them said they had a problem. I believe i have a bad injector and chrysler will not analyze them to guarantee i will not have future problems. I turned this over to my insurance company and they are forcing the dealership to do further evaluations. The vehicle is currently at another chrysler dealership where they are going to have the fuel analyzed and determine what actually caused the failure. I will finalize this complaint when i get the final reports on what exactly caused this failure...

The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who diagnosed that the high pressure fuel sensor was leaking. As a result, the fuel pressure rail assembly had to be replaced in order to remedy the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance because the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The warranty was revokede when the contact installed an aftermarket fuel filter. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 34,800 and current mileage was 34,866.

2 months after the factory warranty expired, the diesel fuel pump started to leak diesel all over the ground. I noticed the leak on the road or the driveway, where i parked the truck. After about a week i took it to a garage. The truck was still able to be driven because it had not completely blown the seal yet. However, fuel was leaking out of it causing a serious environmental and fire hazard. This is happening so frequently in these trucks that the part, that cost $5800.00, is on serious back order with dodge. It is so far back ordered that i had to have this part replaced with an aftermarket pump. I called dodge and also emailed them twice, but they stonewalled me and refused to help or get me anyone higher than their customer service reps (not even a manager) to discuss having them cover this expensive part that seems to be an issue for a lot of dodge owners. This needs to be a recall with dodge since it leaks diesel and is a hazard.

I filed a claim with fca regarding the ability to surrender my vehicle under the consent order reached with fca in july 2015 . I submitted my claim with them on 10/1/2015. I been given nothing but a run around. I notified fca on 9/04/2015 regarding my desire to be apart of the recall process. I have submitted all documents requested. I called on 10/27/2015 and was told that the fca had major problems with the recall process and that there was no current solution. My last contact was on 11/2/2015 when i was asked for a current pay off which i responded on 11/3/2015. I just received last week the recall notice for the fuel heater issue, but nothing on the steering recall. A dodge dealer that i was to work with in huntington beach ca. Which i bought a replacement vehicle because the representative that i spoke with on 10/1/2015 stated that i should not drive my vehicle my dodge ram if i am concerned with my personnel safety, is now is presenting issues with me regarding the recall process as well as with the 2 vehicles i purchasedon 10/4/2015. I lost the use of the additional incentive that was supposed to be offered. The value of my vehicle continues to decline, and i now required to make an additional payment on a loan for a vehicle i not driving, am not receiving the full retail value, and am being subjected to poor treatment by a private dealership who states that they had no involvement with the initial sale of the vehicle. Please help

When starting engine and depressing brake pedal moving shift lever to park or drive the engine and transmission lockup.if brake is firmly applied the engine will stall immediately when after staring. If brake is not held firmly the vehicle launches immediately.that what happened the second time it happened and i ran over a car parked on my right side.this has happened at least 25 to 30 times since the first time.the dealership tells me there are know fault codes so their is nothing wrong.left at the dealer for a week and they could not duplicate the problem.it could happen an hour after parking or it may not happen for 4 to 6 weeks.very sporadic and unpredictable.it is flat dangerous.it now has 13600 miles on it.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge ram 3500.while driving approximately 45 mph the 4 wheel drive low light illuminated on the dashboard.he continued to drive until finally parking the vehicle.upon restart the light momentarily did not illuminate until he began driving again.the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they have replaced the tipm twice, the 4 wheel drive actuator motor, the air conditioning compressor, as well as various wires and computer components.none of the repairs have been able to remedy the failure.the failure and current mileages were 15,000

The truck had a gooseneck flatbed 30ft trailer attached to the dodge ram with a john deere tractor loaded on top of the trailer.the vehicle was running and in park on a slight downhill.the trailer was prepared with the ramps down for the tractor to be backed off.upon backing the tractor off of the trailer, when the rear tractor wheels moved to the down ramp, the shift in weight caused the truck, flatbed trailer and tractor to begin rolling down hill for 300 yards and through a barbed wire fence and finally coming to a stop due to uphill slope in the terrain.the tractor was able to back the rest of the way off of the trailer without incident.upon reaching the truck and trailer the vehicle was still in park and running.this is a serious defect that needs immediate attention before someone is hurt.

My family and i were traveling down the interstate about 60-65mph in 2 wheel drive when out of nowhere we started hearing a whining/roaring noise that quickly got louder. Seconds later, there was a loud rumbling noise that sounded like something was coming through the floorboard of the truck. Luckily, i was able to steer the truck to the shoulder of the road and get it to stop, but the truck would not go into park. I had to use the park brake to make sure that it wouldn't roll. After the tow truck arrived and safely jacked the truck up, we immediately noticed that it was the transfer case that had exploded. Gears were hanging out in plain site and it caused a bend in my front driveshaft. There were no warning signs and i had just had the transfer case and my transmission serviced and flushed 2 weeks prior. This put my family's and other lives in danger because had there been more traffic on the road at the time this happened, i wouldn't have had time or room to maneuver my truck safely to get it off the road. We could have been rear ended or had broken parts fly off the truck, that would have been out of my control. The truck was towed to the shop where i had the transfer case serviced, but as of now there's a national backorder on transfer cases for this truck. In speaking with the dealer and doing my own research, i've also learned that there has been a recall on the transfer cases of 2016 and newer ram 3500 trucks. This needs to be looked into asap. Codes pulled from the truck at the auto shop where the truck currently is are c1404, c1405, c140d stating that the transfer case motor puts the system in 4wd by itself while driving without any warning.

2010 dodge ram. Consumer writes in regards to brake transmission shift interlock safety recall. *ld

My husband, our son, and i were traveling down the highway at about 60-65mph when we started hearing a low winding sound. Seconds later, before my husband could get the truck over to the shoulder of the road, there was a loud banging sound coming from underneath the truck that sounded like something was coming through the floorboard. He was finally able to get the truck pulled to the shoulder of the road but wasn't able to put the truck in the park position. He had to use the park brake to get the truck to completely stop. Once the tow truck safely lifted the truck, you could clearly see gears hanging amd what looked to be remains of the transfer case. The truck was towed to a body shop where several codes were discovered, which all pertained to the truck going into 4wd by itself without any warning and unknowing to the driver.this glitch is what appears to have caused the transfer case to grenade, further causing damage to the drive shaft and smashing the fuel line.we, as owners, had the transfer case serviced and fluids flushed just two weeks prior to this happeningafter further investigation and conversations with the local dodge dealer, it appears that this has happened in several situations yet no safety recalls have been issued. There is a national backorder for transfer cases for our particular year which is a red flag. We're now left with an over $8100.00 bill and everyone pointing the finger at each other. This could have ended tragically had there been more traffic on the road when the truck began stalling on the busy interstate.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge ram 3500. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 mph he heard a loud noise near the front driver's wheel. The contact was able to drive his vehicle home. He inspected the vehicle, there was a crack on the front driver's side rotator and the caliper failed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic. The failure was not diagnosed nor was the vehicle repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000.

Upon hitting a bump, hump, or hole in the pavement while driving at highway speeds the steering wheel begins to vibrate and move side to side unexpectedly; the front end of the truck shakes and bounces violently until speed reduces to near stop.brakes and steering are near ineffective until the violent shaking stops.it feels as if the whole front end is about to break loose from the vehicle, and driver control is severely compromised.this has happened 8-10 times in two years of ownership.it is always unexpected with no warning.i have become very uneasy about road trips in this vehicle.i am about to take it to a dodge dealership one more time as the problem occurred again two days ago.i have only 700 miles of warranty left.past trips to dodge dealerships have given no relief with the comment always being "we could not get the problem to occur when we test drove the truck, and all front suspension tolerances are correct".

Vehicle began making a hissing noise in the area under the dashboard on the driver's side. While the engine speed was maintained above 1500 there are no noticed drivability issues. When the brake is depressed or the steering wheel turned the hissing ceased. Hissing independent of engine speed. While driving at about 35 mph the vehicle's power steering and power brakes failed while entering a turn. To avoid an accident i was surprisingly required to use excessive force to turn the steering wheel while stomping the brake to slow the vehicle. The cause is a small plastic insert in the hydro assist hose that breaks loose and then moves along the hose until it gets pressed into a 90 degree angle cutting off or reducing the fluid flow.

2010 dodge ram 3500 integrated brake controller does not work well enough to stop trailer.the controller does not send braking voltage to trailer for a full 3 seconds after the truck brakes are applied and takes 2-3 seconds to ramp up the voltage after the truck brakes are applied.if the controller is set to a setting of 5-10 the controller only sends 3.0 to the trailer. The controller never sends over 3.0 no matter how long or hard the brakes are applied.the result is when stopping, the trailer pushes the truck into intersections. The brake controller was replaced and it still works the same.contacted dodge and after playing phone tag no solution in sight.this is an accident waiting to happen. I have been close several times when another vehicle stops short or changes lanes and stops eliminating the extra stopping distance i allow because of the ineffective brake controller.

On june 11, 2013 i was backing into my garage when i lost my steering capability for my vehicle. I exited my vehicle to try and determine what may have caused this. I noticed the tie rod on the drivers side hanging down to the ground. I had my vehicle towed to the nearest dodge dealer(zimmerman's enterprises) in sunbury pa. The tie rod replacement was covered under a safety recall and was replaced the following day. Due to the tie rod being bad it caused my drivers side front tire to become cupped and damaged. I asked the sales manage at zimmerman's dodge about the faulty tire and he told he to just rotate it to the rear. The four tires on my truck were purchased in february. All four tires were rotated in may after approx. 5,000 miles. The tire that was worn out because of the faulty tie rod would not pass inspection when i questioned my mechanic. It is obvious that my other 3 tires have very little wear on them compared to the tire that was on the side with the faulty tie rod. My concern is that my vehicle was placed on the road with an unsafe tire. Also the tie rod being faulty caused my tire to wear abnormally and should have been replaced under the recall for the tie rod. I understand that chrysler does not have a warranty on tires but this defect was caused due to a manufacturer defect part.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge ram 3500. The contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 13v529000 (steering) had surpassed a reasonable about of time for repair. I have a 2010 dodge 3500 heavy duty that starts wobbling form right to left as i am traveling along the highway at any speed above 50 mph whenever the truck encounters an uneven surface all of a sudden. A pot hole or a bump in the road will also cause it to start wobbling from the front like crazy. The dealer states that there is nothing wrong with the truck, but there is definitely something wrong with it.

I received recall notice from dodge in dec 2013. I then contacted my dodge dealer. I was told it would be jan 2014 before they would began repairs begin. I checked back in early feb and was told i would be put on a list for repairs. April i had still not heard from dodge so i contacted them again. I was told the manufactorer had recalled the recall part and they did not know when the parts would be available.april 11 went by the dealership and was given a run around about repairs.

Noticed the front tires were oddly worn and took truck to tire store.replaced front tires and tried to have the front end aligned.store said they could not align the truck because the tie rods were too worn and suggested i check with chrysler about a recall.talked with chrysler who said while there had been a recall on tie rods my vin number was not included.tie rods should not be worn after 27,000 miles of regular driving - something is wrong.

1. Was backing up2. Left tie rod broke (believe fracture of left ball stud), resulted in loss of steering3. Dodge replaced part with the same - concerned failure could occur again and if at higher speed could this could lead to severe injury or fatalities.

As i was looking for a parking spot at a local entertainment venue, i took a right and was in process of making a quick left about 20 yards after the right. As i turned to the left i heard something pop under the truck. I decided to keep going straight instead of turning left so i straightened the truck out and proceeded forward about 50 yards down at a stop sign i saw an empty on the left and proceeded to turn towards it. The pop i had heard earlier was the actually the driver side tie rod snapping and while turning left it caught the sidewall of the tire and locked up the steering arm and bent the trailing arm. I had taken the truck to spring dodge in spring,tx to have the l16 recall performed on it a year earlier on the same month.

I received a recall notice n49/nhtsa 13v-529 in december 2012. I called the dealer in january 2013 and have called back 3 more times and they still don't have the replacement parts. Dealer i called is ginn chrysler in covington ga. 770-786-2271.

Changed lanes at approximate 65 mph the truck began to shake (wobble) so bad it was hard to keep control of it. Had to come to complete stop to get it to stop . Felt it was unsafe to drive. After researching online there areother post with the same issue they have called the wobble as the death wobble. It has happen 4 times with this truck at different times you don't know or have any indication that it's going to happen. Had the tires balanced and rotated suspension checked all is good according to the repair garage.

My vehicle has a recall n49/nhtsa 13v-529 and when i called to get the recall work done i was told that the recall parts have been recalled because they are failing too. This is a very serious problem and if the tie rod breaks all steering control is lost. This is my only "reliable" vehicle to get to work, grocery shop, etc. Now i am just supposed to risk my life each day i drive it? the dealer (chapman dodge of las vegas) was not able to give me a date as to when the parts would be in to fix my car or any other information. This is unacceptable. My co-worker already had his tie rod break while driving on his 2008 dodge ram 3500, luckily he had just come to a stop or who knows what could have happened. Please get dodge to do the right thinking and repair these vehicles that they already know there is a problem with.

There is an outstanding recall notice on my vehicle, n49.dodge told me there is a delay from the manufacturer, and can give no estimate on time to repair.this safety issue has caused crashes due to loss of steering on left front wheel.

There has been a recall on my truck, dec 2013. Left tie rod ball stud. I have taken to rotolo's dodge dealer in charleroi pa for inspection and repair. Dealer said it needs repaired and i was placed on a list of thirty. And would be given a call when dodge sends them the parts to repair. That now has been four months. Am i going to die because dodge will not get the parts to fix my truck? can you help me. Why is dodge dragging this out?

It was reported to me by grady ambulance in atlanta georgia that their ram 3500 ambulances, years 2010 thru 2013, were experiencing complete loss of steering due to the fracturing of the drag link to pitman arm ball joint during low speed high turn angle parking lot maneuvers. Eleven vin's were sent to me, which ranged between 2010-2013 model years, and mileage ranging from approximately 80k -140k miles. It was reported and verified through warranty that some of these 11 vehicles had recall 13v-529 performed for the tie rod priorto the drag link ball joint fracturing, and some of the 11 vehicles did not have 13v-529 campaign performed prior to the drag link ball joint fracturing. The replacement of the drag link "end" where the ball joint was fracturing was not part of recall campaign 13v-529 so grady was purchasing the drag link end service parts from local dealerships and replacing at their own expense. I received 3 of the drag link ends, shipped from atlanta to my office at fca us llc in auburn hills. I notified my management of this and gave 2 of the 3 drag link ends with fractured studs to the materials lab for quick analysis. All 3 drag link ends and ball joints appeared visually to have exactly exactly the same failure mode, which at first glance was a fatigue fracture (2 pc separation) through the shank of the ball stud. Fca materialsl lab confirmed fatigue was root cause. All material specifications were within spec. No evidence of ball joint overarticulation was apparent.

I got the recall notice n49/nhtsa 13v-529 in november 2013 and it said parts would be available on january 6 2014. The 4 dealerships i contacted around amarillo tx said they only get one tie rod assembly a week. Two dealers in amarillo had over 100 people on there lists that's 2 years before i can get in, the dealer in dumas txhad 60 people so that's still a years wait, but i did find a dealer in dalhart tx and they only had 12 people on there list so maybe if i don't crash my truck because of this in 3 months i can have this repaired. This recall process is a joke get recall over 2 months in advance and chrysler dodge cannot manufacture parts to get this fixed customer safety is not very high on there list.

There was a horrible death wobble in the front end. The truck had to be brought almost to a complete stop in order to remedy this event. This is beyond unsafe. It is not only unsafe for my family it is a danger to others on the road. Buyinga $50,000 + truck safety for my family was not a concern, i was highly mistaken. My fear is not only for my family but for the other motorist on the road. We had stopped driving the truck unless there is a major need, yet we continue to make our $850.00 a month payments for our yard ornament, because that is what we agree to do. At 42,333 miles we had the front end worked on hoping to fix the problem the temporary repair lasted until we reached 68,482 miles and its back!! so like i said it sits in our driveway in the last 4 months that truck has only driven 256 miles. This is not acceptable!!

I have the original tires on it still.i don't off road nor do i use it for commercial use.in nov 2011, with 19k miles, i had the left tie rod replaced as the ball joint part wore out and was hanging. Then i got the notice in dec 13 of this new tie rod issue, i thought it to be one in the same. I departed my house for work. With no notice, as i was backed out a dirt driveway, i heard a pop, it sounded like something was dragging. I stopped, looking under the front and back thinking i had picked up something, there was nothing. As i tried to move forward, the scraping sound appeared again, i stopped, looked up under the front end finding the drag link hanging about 8 inches off the tie rod end. I called the dodge contact number in the book. This was 340 am.. I explained what happened and he stated that he would build a job order for it. I contacted the dealer,(8 am)he asked me to look at the drag link and see what type of stabilizer system i had mounted on it. I had 2 u bolt connectors about half mass of the drag link. The dealership then stated that knowing that, i needed to have the drag link replaced, and that it would be covered under this recall. He then stated that as it was mounted, the stabilizer didn't allow the drag link to rotate properly causing undue stress on the tie rod end joint. I was then told that the dealership had inspected 15 trucks so far and all 15 needed these parts replaced, but dodge still didn't' have the replacement parts available and wouldn't be until around the 14th of april 14. Mind you this recall was put out in dec 2013 4 months ago.... Still as of today with no parts currently available..i wanted to talk to a supervisor, she said their office doesn't work like that..... Every one has a supervisor some place....she stated the conversation was recorded, and continued to try to push me off to the road side assistance folks.

We received a recall notice for this vehicle in december, with regard to the left tie rod ball stud on the truck.it said that the part could fracture and cause loss of control/crash without warning.we were directed to call the dealer january 6 to arrange repair.on january 6, crystal chrysler in cathedral city said they didn't have the parts and to call back in a week or so.we called again today (january 16), and they still do not have parts.the next-closest dealership (in yucca valley, ca) said it would be at least a month.when we called dodge, they said that dealerships could only order one each week, which has now been raised to three each week.this recall covers all dodge trucks made between 2008 and 2012.that is absolutely ridiculous.who is responsible if one of us loses control due to a fracture?we haul hay with this truck, as well as a large horse trailer.this truck is supposed to be the top of the line for dodge.how long can dodge make us wait for a repair?i think we have already passed "reasonable" and "timely" with this issue.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

After accelerating on an interstate highway on-ramp, the vehicle went over some bumps then started shaking violently at about 45 mph. There was a complete loss of steering as the truck vibrated and shook across lanes, but i was able to somehow avoid collisions with other vehicles and safely pull off the highway. After stopping and finding nothing wrong, the vehicle was slowly accelerated to interstate speed and driven another 300 miles to destination without further incident. A few days later, a tucson dodge dealer inspected the truck and found two issues. First, the front steering damper was found to be defective and was replaced under warranty. The second item, an imbalanced front driver's side wheel, was found and corrected. The problem has not recurred, but i am extremely nervous about the event repeating itself, particularly if it happens when pulling a 5th wheel trailer. I am not confident thatthe violent shaking of the vehicle and loss of steering was caused by a defective steering dampener and a slightly out-of-balance front wheel.this problem, an apparently somewhat widespread occurrence among dodge trucks, has been widely reported as the "death wobble" throughout the past 8 years or so. My understanding is that it had been fixed recently through suspension changes by chrysler engineers, but obviously not.

I have had two recalls from chrysler on this truck and they have failed to provide the necessary parts to the dealer for repair. The first recall was n49 from nov. 6th 2013. Yes, that's 2013, over two tears ago. This is to repair a steering component that could fail and cause loss of control of the vehicle. I also have a recall p65 from oct. 7th 2014. This is to repair a fuel component that could fail and cause a fire in the vehicle. Both of these items present serious safety issues to the operators and passengers of the vehicle. Please help me to resolve this issue with the unresponsive auto manufacturer.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable time for repair.the contact had not experienced a failure.

I received my recall notice n49/nhtsa 13v-529 a few months ago. When i took my truck in for service i asked them to check the recall. They said it would be 4 to 6 months for parts. I called dodge and they said there is a restriction on these parts. It is summer travel time and i wanted this done before my trips when hauling a 34 foot trailer. Why send out recalls when nothing can be done about it?

Left front tie rod broke at low-speed parking lot type turning maneuvers. Dodge will not cover this according to there hotline because the build dates don't match there recall dates. This recall needs to be expanded to more vehicles.

Going around curve speed was 55mph. Slight bump in road, vehicle started shaking uncontrollably. I had to apply the brakes quickly to slow down, it finally quit shaking the vehicle has done it before.

Hi, i received a notice regarding recall n49/nhtsa 13v-529 and went to my chrysler dealer on 1/26/14 to schedule the service to address the issue with the left tie rod ball stud. To this date, the dealer has been unable to obtain the part from chrysler. I called the chrysler recall center at 800.853.1403 today and they informed me that chrysler is still working on getting the parts to the dealers. What's the point of issuing a recall when chrysler is not taking care of it?

Traveling at approx 40 down a straight street in town ,apparently according to witnesses the truck sharply changed lanes into on coming traffic , side swiping one car went thru two residentialfences and ended up stopping in shop/garage turned 90 degrees to the road we where traveling on . I was sited for neg 2 driving , because i couldn't recall what had happened . The truck was totaled . On the report we got from the ins. Co there was some info and to my disbelief was a paragraph about 2010 dodge rams 3500 being recalled for left tie rod failure . My wife luckily had taken lots of pictures of the scene of the accident , after some investigating on our part ( went and looked at the truck ) the left side tie rod was broken ,we took pictures of the tie rod , and by looking at the tie rod there was no damage to it that would have caused it to fail , the pictures my wife took at the scene clearly show something dragging in the dirt on the driver side . My wife and i are currently seeing a local bone crusher ( chiropractor ) its his belief that the truck swerved hard enough that my head hit something knocking me unconscious , he said that would explain the tilted atlas that i am continuing fighting to this day , the chiropractor told me that when they take a head on head xray you should not be able to see your atlas on mine you can see over half of it , worst he's ever seen .we had been having front end problem and brought it to the local dealership .we also have docs from the dealership that would be of more evidence on the tie rod , they released the truck to us the day before the accident saying there was some problems with the tie rod and would be very unsafe to drive at this time , but no one said anything to us about how unsafe it was and not to drive it .

Recall for tierod left side and unable to get the parts as of oct 2013 and up until now no parts available and still driving with dangerous tierod and no parts for the replacement.need help we are not getting help from the us government at all so someone is going to die before you all step in and it is to late.

Chrysler has sent out a recall notice on this vehicle stating the parts to fix it would be available jan 6, 2014. After contacting the dealership, i was told chrysler has limited them to how many parts they could order a day to fix the recall. I was put on a list with no guarantee of when the recall could be fixed or scheduled. The problem states on the recall that this part breakage could cause loss of directional control and/or crash without warning. I'm filing a complaint in that chrysler is failing to repair this recall in a reasonable amount of time.

Received a safety recall in the mail . N49/nhtsa 13v-529.went to dealer they said they would call me but never did.i went back in and they said they'd put my name on a list and get back to me.they say they don't know when the parts will be available.it's been a total of 3 months.dealer should have told me from the beginning that they'd put my name on a list.i am concerned they will keep putting this off while parts are not available.tie rod issues can cause a loss of directional control which is extremely dangerous and i am very concerned about mine and family's safety.can someone please get back to me with an status on the replacement parts.

Going around curve speed was 55mph. Slight bump in road, vehicle started shaking uncontrollably. I had to apply the brakes quickly to slow down, it finally quit shaking the vehicle has done it before.

On 10-17-11, i took truck to 5-star dodge @3068 riverside dr-macon, ga 31210. It had 4 recalls - k-17,k-33,k-34 and l-16. The l-16 being left tie rod end. I pick truck up 10-18-11(tues). Sat - 10-22-11 i called service dept and tell them my steering wheel is not aligned and truck is pulling to right. They tell me to bring in 10-24-11and they will take care of it. The steering wheel centered and truck alignment done. On 11-5-11, called service center to report that my new tires on front were showing wire sticking out and it was vibrating in front. Again it was sat and no one was there to look at it, so i took it back on 11-7-11, the dealership had to replace to fronttires and said they were sending it to the warner robins dealership for the alignment, they could not do it, so they sent it to raffeild tire in warner robins. Upon picking truck up they tell me it is still not aligned. So i recommended a tire business in bolingbroke that works on big trucks and i knew they could align it, they do all our work trucks and we have never had any problems. Now 3-30-12, i pick up a load of hay for horses(2400lbs plus trailer) and come home, i leave to pick up my daughter from school and i loose control of truck in alley at cemetery behind our house, the left tie rod end is broken. The truck cannot be towed, it has to be repaired on sight. I called the dealership to report this and they do not seem concerned and never called me back to check status of truck. I had watts service center come and look at truck and replace the left tie rod end. It is my belief that the recall was never done (l-16) on my truck, i have the part that was taken off and it looks to be the original left tie rod end that came on truck when purchased . I had nothing but problems ever since i took the truck in and its only been 5 1/2 months since the recall. Did they get paid for something they didn't do?
