Radio and dashboard will not turn on when i start the truck. They are completely blackawful screeching noise randomly from under the hood
This vehicle was bought less than a month ago.the first week 3 tires sensors are out and not working, then yesterday, oct. 20, 2020 the engine light came on and won't go out.we called the dealer and were told that it wasn't any problem to keep driving the truck.they told us the soonest they could see it was this friday, oct. 23, 2020 and they do not have any loaners.so here i am stuck at home afraid to drive the ram truck costing more than $70,000 because i might ruin the engine.this is uncalled for in a brand new vehicle!!*dt*dt
The service anti-lock brake message comes on followed by the service electronic stability control. Sometimes the forward collision warning also flashes unavailable. When this happens, if i try to use the cruise control i get another message that says cruise control unavailable. This began happening the week i picked up the truck in march and was intermittent, happening every 2nd or 3rd day. Now it happens almost every time i start the truck. I did not take the truck back to the dealer until 3 june 2020 because of the coronavirus.
This is the worst truck i've ever purchased, a simple fix needed to the pulley tensioner and the clutch fan is needed..been to dealer twice going a 3rd time . The fuel pump cp4 is a danger to drivers and pedestrians as these trucks are meant for pulling heavy loads and mostly on interstates which makes it a danger. The cp3 is needed back in the trucks as there is a horrible fuel pump chatter at this point and an iminant failure is coming soon. Also the truck rolls in park like 5 feet for no reason while off in park
Truck died in traffic. Lost all power steering, brakes, etc. Almost caused a multiple vehicle accident, and left me stranded in the middle of traffic until i could get assistance to move. There was no warning or notice before the truck just quit working. A warning light came on after the truck died and stated "exhaust system failure. See dealer immediately".
The 2019 to 2020 model year ram 2500 heavy duty equipped with a 6.7l cummins diesel engine has a major safety issue that could cause a stall and increase the risk of a crash. The bosch cp4.2 fuel injection pump has a very high rate of sudden failure leading to immediate stoppage on the engine and engine braking system. The pump destroys itself and takes out the rest of the entire fuel system leading to repairs in the $20,000 usd range. Fca & ram have attempted to revise the pump in late (july) 2020 to solve the issue but the failures keep occurring. For the 2021 model year, fca & ram have changed the pump entirely and reverted back to using an older, safer, more reliable design. No public announcements of neither the pump revision in 2020, nor the pump change in 2021 have been made. The issue is so prevalent that the replacement pumps and repairs generally have a 30-90 day wait period where the customer is without the primary vehicle. This problem is a substantiated safety risk. According to a texas judge in a bosch cp4.2 lawsuit, when another automaker, gm tried to dismiss the case saying the pump failure is not a safety issue, the court responded: "the worst case scenario of a truck spontaneously stalling at high speeds is not a mere inconvenience. Nor is it a mere inconvenience to spend between $8,000 to $20,000 on repairs to make the trucks fit for their ordinary purpose. The court rejects gm's suggestion that the risk of spontaneous engine failure while driving is not, as a matter of law, unreasonably dangerous, depriving the vehicles of fitness for their purpose of transportation.". Toyota agrees: "if a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash". Fca & ram have remedied the situation for the 2021 model year, however the 2019 and 2020 owners are still at risk. The nhtsa needs to force the hand of fca to recall.
On september 19, 2020, purchased a vehicle and traded in a 2013 chev. On 09/27 we were driving home engine light comes on, the vehicle has less than 900 miles.. On 09/28 vehicle taken to the nearest dealership( not purchased from) in which no one would pay to have towed. It took a week to be told a new transmission was needed. Was given a run around on the timeframe for repair. Chrysler and dealership decided to have the vehicle towed to the dealership where the truck was purchased. Promised to have a transmission on 10/14. Chrysler called several days later and stated a transmission would be expedited and should arrive on 10/19. No transmission showed up. Chrysler stated a 2nd transmission was shipped and arrived at the dealership on 11/28. The truck was returned to us on 10/30.on 11/07 we were stopped at a drive-thru, tried to put the truck into drive. Would not shift into drive. Finally shifted but made a grinding sound through all gears. Returned vehicle to dealership on 11/10 due to winter storm and was informed on 11/13 another transmission is needed. I have been treated very poorly in this situation and this has cost me thousands of dollars due to my business and not having a truck. No one seems to care or will help just being told these things take time. Very unacceptable. Repeatedly told my vehicle is not part of a recall but on the service paperwork for the 1st transmission, it lists the cause as recall.
Losing power while driving down the road. Losing power when pushing on gas pedal. Makes awful noise when starting. Almost sounds like a bad starter
Have a squeak that started about 200 miles ago, (have 4900 mile on truck). Did some research and many other people have this problem with the 2019-2020 cummins 6.7 motor. It seems to be some sort of pulley or the belt. The truck is brand new with only 4900 miles and should not have any squeak coming from the belts or pulley. People are having to replace pulleys and belts 7 plus times and still the problem hasn't been fixed. Dealer i took my truck to couldn't fix the issue. Fca needs to address this.
2020 dodge ram 2500. Consumer writes in regards to defective gps navigation system. *ldthe consumer stated the gps would direct the vehicle under overpasses even though it shouldn't have as the camper it was towing was too large. The manufacturer was contacted and knew of the defect, but did not have a solution.
We were just leaving the desert after a weekend trip when there was a weird noise from the engine area. As i opened the hood and the truck died and never started back up. The truckwas towed to local dealer which is 350 miles from home were it sat for 7 days until we could make it back out there. My trailer was also towed and i had to use a friends truck to get it. Then stopped by the dealer to find out what's going on. Fuel system shot. 15,838 for repair. Now my truck is a 2020 ram 2500. Purchased in august 2020. 4,900 miles on the odometer. Haven't even had my first oil change yet. Dealership said they found red dye diesel in the system so fca does not want to cover the charges. I have done research on this and have found nothing harmful about red diesel. So unless they change their mind it looks like a lawyer is next.
Truck lost power and died while driving on the interstate. Truck would not crank again after it lost power.fuel injector pump exploded sending metal throughout the entire fuel system.
I was hauling a 24' enclosed car trailer from san diego to las vegas. It was loaded with a car that i had just picked up from the painter and was looking forward to getting it back home. As we were going through the victorville area on interstate 15 the engine appeared to have a misfire or stumble. Shortly after that an alert message appeared on the dash regarding an exhaust emission service was needed. Shortly after that the truck started to lose power and another warning appeared regarding a service electronic ignition was needed and then the truck went into limp mode.i was able to get across three lanes of freeway traffic before barely being able to make it off the freeway. I was able to find a relatively safe area to pull over and turned the truck off. It wouldn't then restart so we were stranded about 200 miles from las vegas.

There was no warning or notice before the truck just quit working. A warning light came on after the truck died and stated "exhaust system failure. See dealer immediately".
I was traveling and around 655 miles from home. My truck was idleing and started making a loud knocking noise. I turned it off and then it wouldn't start again. I called chrysler roadside assistance and had it towed to the nearest dealer, bluebonnet chrysler dodge and ram. After my vehicle sat there for 4 days, they finally looked at it and determined that my cp4 fuel injector pump had failed. It is all covered by warranty, but now i'm 655 miles from my truck with nothing to drive.

Fca switched from proven cp3 fuel pump to a cp4.2 for model years 2019 and 2020. They have now switched back to cp3 for 2021 due to number of failures. When it fails it takes out the entire fuel system and it cost 10k for repair. My complaint is that they should recall the fuel pumps on the 2019/2020 ram 2500 models. It is the right thing to do.

Vehicle has 26,689 mile and after driving for 30 minutes slowed came to a complete stop due to on coming traffic to make a left turn. Went down the road and the transmission ( auto) did not seem like it went in to 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 or 8 gear. The tach was over 3,000 rpms and i let off the gas and pressed down again and tach went up again and transmission never shift to higher gear. Lucky that was my street and i tried to get it to shift by gas peddle up and down and it never went higher gear and i took tach up to 5,500 rpms plus and it never tried to get out of third gear i guess.

Power steering suddenly failed while driving.
While driving down the highway power steering quit working followed along with a light on on the dashboard claiming that power steering failed.it became extremely hard to turn even at highway speeds.
The vehicle randomly navigates left or right without warning, also the steering wheel has almost not affect to the vehicle going straight. This happened when the vehicle is in motion, road condition does not matter it is affected on both city roads and highway roads. Very dangerous when on the highway pulling a trailer.
While coming to a stop i lost complete power steering and was barely able to turn the wheel to move to the side of the road. No messages, lights or codes came up on the dash. Truck only has 4,900 miles on it and was full on power steering fluid. After checking everything i attempted to drive from the side of the road. When the rpm's rose the power steering worked normal. When i approached the next stop and let my foot off the gas and the rpm's lowered, i lost power steering again at approximately 30 mph, leaving me unable to steer.
'power steering unavailable service required' message appeared on instrument cluster at 4,596 miles. Power steering failure occurred while driving in light city traffic and stopped at an intersection. The vehicle is difficult to control without power steering assist. Powering car off and on did not clear the error. Nor did disconnecting/reconnecting battery terminals. Vehicle sat overnight in garage and power steering function seemed to return the following day, only to fail again after 15-20 mins of light street driving.
2020 silverado 2500. Consumer writes in regards to safety recall. *ldthe consumer stated the recall repair called for the use of duct tape. After completion of the recall, duct tape was visibly protruding from the trim of the vehicle.
Passenger side rambox plastic covering is warping. Rambox's plastic cover is secured to the side of the rambox structure via double sided tape. Due to temperature changes the plastic covering expands and contracts in cold and hot environments, causing the plastic panel to warp, and causing the 3m tape that is used to secure it to the rambox structure to fail.
Vehicle engages the forward collision warning and active braking at reduced speeds when turning inside of a parking garage. Numerous complaints online confirm similar instances. I had to manually turn off the forward collision active breaking just because it was so sensitive i was not able to move at any speed inside of a parking garage (particularly when approaching a corner to move up in levels) without the active braking occurring. Any vehicle following would be at increased risk of colliding with my vehicle.
One week after driving off dealers lot the back wheel pressure sensor went bad, now one week after replacing that rear passenger side sensor the front drivers side wheel sensor now has gone bad! i have to test air pressure daily due to no sensor. The vehicle was in motion each time sensor went bad.*dt*dt
2020 ram 2500 purchased brand new. I along with many others from forums and other groups are having a issue with the remote/remote start. The remote start works fine, but once the truck is remote started and running and you attempt to unlock the vehicle to enter, it won't unlock. I have had this happen numerous times and have actually had to use the physical key to open the truck when it is remote started. I have tried both remotes and it has the same issue so it can't be the remotes. Sometimes you can hold the unlock button down for approximately 5 seconds and it unlocks most of the time it doesn't.

Tpms system unavailable. Multiple sensors installed from ram and 3rd party tire/wheel stores. System has been mostly unavailable for 6 months. Reported to vehicle manufacturer and the issue has been unresolved. The system is unavailable at vehicle start-up and while in motion on any road.
At 63 miles my left front tire pressure sensor stopped reading.it started to work after about 200 miles.then at about 400 miles, the right rear sensor stopped working and is still not working.brand new truck!i have made 3 trips to my selling dealer and they can not get the replacement sensors.a friend of mine has the exact same truck and similar failure at two weeks of ownership.my concern is that there is a much larger problem than fiat is admitting to.no replacement sensors available means that many are needing to be replaced as they are failing.in the mean time, i am driving with an incomplete tps system.i ask that you look into this major safety concern.*dt
