2016 ram diesel 2500 4wd heavy duty, 27,022 miles/33 months. Noticed severe corrosion on both 12v batteries 'negative' posts. After removing connections, found multiple cracks on the battery itself where the negative posts are installed. Cracks allowed battery acid and fumes to escape (both corrosion hazard, breathing hazard, and explosive fume situation). These are oem batteries, left in its original state since purchased new from dealer.

My 2016 ram 1500 almost killed me this morning. Truck has 4,000 miles on it. At 4 am i was driving on i-10 east bound 170 miles from pensacola. Cruise was set at 78 and i was in the passing lane. The road was pitch black. Without any warning the engine lost power and all electrical. Headlights went dark dash board, etc. Needless to say i was panicked and managed somehow to make it to the right shoulder. After getting to the shoulder emergency flashers would not work everything was dead. Just as i was considering getting out of the vehicle power came back on. I put on flashers and after i calmed down returned to the road. The next 200 miles were uneventful. I was scared to drive after dark after such an incident. I have a appointment in foley alabama with dodge next monday morning.also back in march i was waiting on the left turn lane and the transmission shifted from drive to park all by its self.

I don't know what happen to my interior door handle but the plastic screws broke and the door isn't sturdy any more. I called customer care for ram if this can be repaired but they didn't care. I second guess using the handle and therefore almost fall out of my truck to close my door because i don't know what to use to close the drivers door.another issue with this truck is the brakes. If you come to an abrupt stop you can feel the truck trying to stop and you feel a weird movement on the break pedal and a few seconds later the truck stops. Lastly there is an electrical glitch in my truck. The nav/ radio display sometimesblacks out during starting my truck. Some times also after starting my truck the backup camera display is scrambled in reverse gear.
2016 ram 2500 crew cab 4x4 6.4 liter v8 - my truck is 5 months old with 4,500 miles on it.i have had this problem two times so far.i would be driving and thecheck engine and throttle positioning sensor warning lights come on.the truck would lose acceleration and sometimes the truck would accelerate on it's own and could drive itself on the road (sometimes surging). I have had it tot the dealership two times so far.the first time they replaced the throttle.the second time they said it was a bent clip on the throttle wiring harness for the throttle.the same thing happened two other times since it was last fixed on 8/30/2016, but if you let the truck sit overnight, the next morning everything would be fine.the punch line is that i have owned the truck for 169 days (as of today) and it has been in the shop 37 of those days (so far) with serious electrical issues.the last two issues are serious enough that the truck will accelerate on its own and is unsafe to drive.i have had it towed by ram the last two times to the dealership.outside of the fact that the truck has been in the shop for 22% of the time i have owned it,i am more concerned about the serious safety concerns these issues cause and i have lost faith that this truck can be fixed.when this problem occurs, it could easily cause and accident to include injury or death.this is a 6,500+ pound vehicle!please look into this problem with ram.
T79/nhtsa 17-821 recall.. Just wondering if and when the fix may happen? it has hampered my chance of selling it due to the open recall and the fact of no giving date as to when it would be fixed, dealer will not buy it ( the one who would, would only give a small percent of it value) and a buyer backed out cause of the type of safety issues it is. I spoke to the dealer ship and they have said that they have not been giving any ideas or a time frame when fca would have a fix. Just wondered what if any options i may have to get it fixed or get a safer vehicle. Thank you

Driving on interstate 10 in traffic i went to accelerate to change lanes and my 2016 2500 the engine made a loud pop and lost all engine power. And didn'tregain engine power for 3 seconds. It has done it several time since. It is a very scary feeling when your driving in heavy traffic. I do not get any codes or lights indicating a problem when this happens. Was told by dealer service manager that without any codes coming up that it would be impossible to find the problem.

I recently received a notice of recall on my truck, regarding the potential for the water pump to fail, causing an engine compartment fire.however, there is currently no fix for the problem.i am very concerned because, not only do i drive it every day to work, it is our traveling truck and we use it to haul our large 5th wheel trailer.the potential for an engine compartment fire to occur while driving, or while we're hauling the trailer, is quite scary. A fix for this issue needs to be determined quickly.

"etc" warning light, electronic throttle control , keeps coming on and taking it back to the dealer monday for the 3rd time. This truck has excessive torque management.it can also be described as dead pedal.if you press the accelerator pedal you can expect a serious delay before any power is transmitted to the wheels and this problem is magnified if you have just applied throttle, let off and immediately need the vehicle to accelerate such as when merging or crossing traffic.

Today i had a close call. Cruising empty, not towing, someone pulled out right in front of me on the highway. Got on the brakes. Had a good opening in the next lane. Pushed down on the gas peddle and started shifting lanes. The truck wouldn't accelerate, not even a little. After what seemed like 2-3 seconds it started to accelerate, and by then the car behind me was getting very close to my rear bumper. I didn't push the pedal to the floor but maybe i should have. Anyway, i'm going to the dodge dealer and having a formal note put into my file about the problem. Have had the truck 2 weeks. Not happy and this could be very dangerous. I looked online and it seems this is a normal unfixed issue with these trucks, but seriously dangerous.
I feel i my complain is on par with so many others with a newer ram diesel. The dead pedal. I have nearly been hit more than 5 times now on several....several occasions due to no immediate acceleration at a light crossing an intersection, or going on the highway, switching lanes and trying to accelerate again. The delay in throttle response is the worst i have ever seen in a vehicle. My wife refuse to drive my "new" truck with our kids for this reason. I had my local dealer check it out and they said its normal to have such a bad delay, even said "dodge dropped the ball on this one". I have had friends and family comment on how bad the delay/lag is! i am very disheartened by this to the point that i am now pricing out a 2017 f-350. We are purchasing a new toy hauler and in no way would i hook it to my 2016 ram diesel due to the throttle delay/lag. This is my 4th dodge truck and to switch brands has been a major issue for me. I test drove a new ford f-250 (to be fair) and a f-350 dually and the take-off was insanely different. Shame on you dodge for forcing me into this decision, but my family's safety is more important than brand loyalty. I hope this resonates with someone in a high enough position to actually do something about this, and not let me complaint just fall the wayside.

B/t 15-20 mph, the engine shuts off.no warning, no noise, oil pressure gauge goes to nothing, and rpms drop to 0.i loose control of steering as well. Everything else has power to it (radio, lights, etc work)has happened 4 times, 3 in a row, spent 2 days at dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong.happened the 4th time and i have it on video.its going back to the dealer on monday for them to try again. Chrysler dodge is aware of it, and hasn't called to speak with me or returned my phone calls, its been 2wks.
Dead accelerator pedal. If driving with steady pedal and let up on accelerator pedal and then step back on the accurate, the truck doesn't move/no response for 5-10 seconds, then the truck speeds off. Happens numerous times.also if at a stop and need to have full power to get across a 4 lane highway/or make a rapid left turn, you are a sitting duck because the pedal doesn't respond.

I have two outstanding recalls on my truck.the diesel water pump recall and the brake transmission shift interlockboth of these recalls were issued in 2017 and neither has a remedy.
This is a big safety concern. My 2016 ram has major throttle delay. It becomes a safety concern when i'm pulling out into traffic, let off the accelerator and get back on it and it waits 1.5 to 2 seconds before the computer receives the command to give throttle. I have had one instance where i was proceeding to change lanes on the interstate and give it throttle but it didn't respond and then i was a sitting duck because my brand new truck didn't want to wake up and go. This is a known problem that is very well complained about by many ram owners and it's only a matter of time before this will get someone either hurt or killed as a result.

Dead pedal, when driving i.e.: in traffic with on again off again pedal i notice a brief period of "dead pedal " where there is no response.this has occurred more than once.

Intermittentdiesel exhaust enters vehicle when using heater.this occurs when driving, enginetemperature normal, diesel exhaust will enter through heater vents.it stops if the heater is turned off and does not occur when heater is turned in a few minutes nor may it reoccur for an extended length of time.it isbad enough tocause a headache. I have to open the windows to clear the fumes. As it is intermittenti have not been able to reproduce for the ram dealer.

Throttle response, there is a huge delay between activating the pedal and the engine reacting to that input.crossing a busy street from a standstill is a gamble whether or not you'll accelerate in enough time.

I have two recalls on this truck,17v-562 and 17v-821 . One dating back to september 2017 and just received 17v-821 . Both recalls say the remedy for this condition is not currently available, and both are safety issues, fca sends out recalls and then does nothing! are you aware of this,is there nothing you can do. This is totally unacceptable!

No daytime running lights
Life and death situation:the 2016 2500 ram diesel truck has a problem that causes it to do a complete electrical shutdown while driving. A complete loss of all electrical systems are lost, including a... Complete engine failure... Brake lights... Power steering... Power brakes.everything dies with no warning. Just dead!fiat dodge ram knows about this problem and are allowing these vehicles to be sold to an unknowing public. The reason i know this is because when the dealer called the star hot line at ram they were told exactly where to go to find the problem!!! there have been numerous failures to date. This will get people killed. The 2016 rams have only been on the road for a month. I own one and my vehicle is presently in the shop for repair after 10 engine failures!!!! when there were no failure codes on my ram 2500.. And.. It failed and shut downon the tech when backing it out of the bay the vehicle was taken away from me as unsafe to drive. That was a week ago.it is still stuck in the same bay as it will not crank.problem:tipm totally integrated power module or pdc intel pwr. Part# 68243265ad is the problem. The main terminal input carrying all electrical power into the vehicle is being over torqued during manufacture. This is causing the terminal to snap and only give intermitting power to the vehicle during operation and causing the total shut of the vehicle's computers and shutdown of the vehicle.in addition to the this problem which could cause possible death, the constant arcing of the computers has now caused additional problems to my vehicle. There is now a failure in the ignition switch module part # 68271986aa and it has a esdof feb 2016.i'll deal with my vehicle.. But allowing these 8000# vehicles on the road with this problem is inexcusable when dodge ramknows they have this safety issue. ....updated 12/30/15 updated 05/21/18
This is the tradesman model, which is the bare bones basic work truck.at night, when turning a 90 degree corner, left or right, one can not see the road or what might be coming because the headlights do not illuminate the road in a sharp turn.it is especially worrying when turning on a dark road from a stop sign.this has been like this since the truck was new.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. The contact stated that the low beam headlight was replaced three times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (jack wolf chrysler jeep, 1615 n. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered to reimburse the contact for the replacement bulbs. The contact stated that he did not receive a notification for an unknown recall related to the electrical system and exterior lighting. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000. Abs hcu cotrol module is out and has been out for years truck is in good condition now i have no traction control or cruise control
Purchased a new ram 2500 diesel.after 1200 miles, the diesel emission fluid (def) gauge became erratic and gave me a message that after 200 miles the truck's maximum speed would be 5 miles/hour.the am dealer in olympia, wa traced the problem to a computer module.this module is on national backorder with no delivery date in sight.i am on my way to alaska, and am stuck in olympia, wa for who knows how long.the truck is in perfect working order, except that it is programmed to stop (or go 5mph) after 200 miles unless the def problem is fixed.
Not sure if this is the right place for this but figured it was a start. I have a 2016 ram 2500 with the cummins diesel. Everyso often the truck leaks fumes into the cab of the truck. I have read on many forums online it seems to be a common problem not only with the 1500 eco truck but with the bigger 2500,3500 trucks. Ram says there is no problems from what i have read but it seems to methat this is a serious safety issue!! one guy posted that ram just told him to use the recirculate button to stop the smell. That's fine and dandy but when you do that you can not use the defrost witch is a problem in the right weather conditions because the windows will fog up. So you have to roll the windows down to get fresh air. I would appreciate any info you have on this issue or could point me to the right agency that could help me force ram to fix this problem. Agian big safety problem! if someone has no sense of smell like one of my best friends hthey could pass out while driving and kill himself if someone else. Thanks again
Numerous times the diesel has stuttered and acted like it was going to die.this has happened several times.was taken to sealer and was told there is nothing wrong with it. It is making weird noises while shifting and is now throwing a cel with the code p0421.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While driving 75 mph, the vehicle independently slowed and stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The failure recurred ten more times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was supposed to reset the regeneration system to clean the diesel particulate system while driving. However, the reset was failing and caused the vehicle to slow and stall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the contact should take the vehicle to the dealer as many times as necessary. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.
My vehicle has was has been coined as "dead pedal" the truck will hesitate for a second while accelerating. This problem has been well documented by many other ram diesel truck owners. This will happen when merging into traffic or crossing a street and can be very dangerous.
The hardware securing the exhaust manifold to the engine header break and cause an exhaust leak. Exhaust can be smelled in the cab when running the heater.

Under some circumstances, like briefly letting off the accelerator and then re-applying acceleration, the vehicle does not respond to the acceleration input for 1-2 seconds. This is being described by owners in online forums as "dead pedal". The result of a lack of intended acceleration is a serious safety issue, especially when merging with traffic already at speed. This has happened to me on multiple occasions, and if a well documented and complained about issue on public forums.

The vehicle was taken to bryant motors (2901 south limit ave, sedalia, mo) where the failure was repaired. Later, while backing out of the garage, the transmission would not switch into the drive position. The vehicle would only drive in fourth gear and was taken back to the dealer who replaced the brake transmission shift interlock solenoid. On one occasion, after switching into the park position with the engine still running, the driverexited the vehicle. Moments later, the vehicle erroneously drove backwards and knocked the driver to the ground. The vehicle also struck two additional individuals who were positioned behind the vehicle. The vehicle then crashed into two parked vehicles and a motorcycle. The driver sustained neck and back injuries that required medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed. The cause the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The dealer was not contacted about the crash. The failure mileage was 36,000.*dt

Drag link has been recalled on my pickup. Was given what was supposed to be a temporary fix by the dealership that involved welding the nuts to the adjuster sleeve. Now there is a permanent fix and i was told by chrysler and the dealership that the weld is good enough. I am unable to have my vehicle aligned due to this weld. I will be unable to have any future work that involves the steering done due to this weld. If the weld fails, i'll be left once again with a bad drag link. How is this acceptable? the nits has to be tightened three times before they were welded!

I had drive my 2016 ram 2500 mega cab cummins diesel 4x4 to a place on a slight decline.i placed the transmission in park (column shift) and left the truck running.i had not applied the parking brake.within a few seconds i noticed the truck beginning to roll downhill. I looked at the gear indicator and noticed it was in park.i stepped on the brake and the truck stopped.i released the brake and it began rolling forward again.i stepped on the brake again and the truck stopped.i grabbed the gear selector and it would not move.i stepped on the brake and then moved the gear selector through reverse, neutral and drive and could feel the vehicle torque with each gear change.i placed the selector back in park and the vehicle rolled slightly and then stopped as it normally does.my vehicle was checked by an authorized dealer who said they found no problem, including the test for the brake interlock that was recalled.i am concerned that there is another problem, perhaps with the parking pawl not engaging on an intermittent basis.

Dead pedal.this vehicle when starting to accelerate, releasing accelerator and then getting back immediately on the accelerator, does not respond for several seconds. This happened while pulling into an intersection and almost caused an accident.dealer and ram says it is normal, but many owners are experiencing this issue.it has been suggested that it is an intended programming issue that was put in place to help the drivetrain and/or emissions. It is dangerous!!!!!my other 2015 ram that i traded did the same thing but i did not file a report.
I was driving back home after picking up my son, driving about 40 to 45 mph when suddenly my truck started shaking and the speed dropped rapidly got 10 mph pushing me and my son forward aggressively... We were fortunate the traffic behind was far from us.. After pulling to the side and trying to get back to the road my truck would not accelerate more than 10 mph. I took the truck to the dealership and after an inspection they told me the clutch went out. Considering this is a 2016 ram 2500 turbo diesel with only 24,000 miles on it with no sings of clutch going bad i think this may bee a defective part that caused this inciden...
A noticeable delay in throttle response is present. Some times the delay is short [ 1 second ] other times the delay is more pronounced [ 2-4 seconds ].this can be very dangerous due to the vehicle not responding correctly.i have noticed the problem to be more prevalent when having to quickly transition from being on the throttle to off and back on quickly. A good example is merging onto the freewaywhere you have to quickly accelerate in stages to match the flow of traffic. Each time you lift and depress the throttle pedal there may be a delay that is not consistent and can cause an over estimate or under estimate of the of the space needed to safely and courteously merge. I feel that this a true safety concern . Would you want an unpredictable delay with the brakes or the steering?why should the fuel pedal be any different.

Purchased a 2016 dodge ram 2500 turbo diesel laramie, new, returned the truck due to a vibration bad enough the seats, hood, rear bed shook.it was bad enough i had to slow down to have the shaking stop. Then when on the highway the only safe driving speeds where under 62 and over 80.anything in between caused the truck to shake.so, the truck sat in my driveway, the only time i drove the truck was when i had to and even then, i would only drive it on the back roads due to the shaking.truck as been back 4 times for over a total of 30 days to work on truck with no solution to the problem.shaking starts at 62 mph and up, 72 mph being the worse.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While driving 55 mph, the gear shifted into first gear on its own and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact veered to the shoulder of the road, and turned off and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. Hall chrysler dodge jeep ram virginia beach (3152 virginia beach blvd, virginia beach, va 23452, (877) 475-0721) was contacted to schedule a second diagnostic test. The dealer informed the contact that the parts were not available to perform the repair. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.
Owned this truck for less than a year bought with 6000 miles.vehicle down shifts into a low gear while approaching a stop. This presents a safety issue on snow covered roads and everyday driving conditions. The truck has been in the dealership twice for this problem and it has not been fixed.the dealership says they fixed it?exhaust has broken from the welds i noticed this at 20,000 miles. This has caused the exhaust system to leak underneath the cab.a strong coolant smell regularly in the front of the truck, dealership says no problems, if so why does it continue?cracking sound in the passenger side dash also has been in the dealership and not fixed.
When moving from reverse to drive the transmission stays in 1st gear only allowing up to 35 to 45 mph and does not shift to next gear.
I purchased my vehicle yesterday. Today i was driving it is stalled as i was pulling out into traffic i restarted it it drove fine another two miles. At which time is stalled again with no lights, no indications on. Sounds like some noise comes from the air box. Some kind of air noise comes from the passenger side of the engine when it happened

Able to shift into drive without pressing the brake. Put the truck back in park to see if it was just the one time but it continued to be able to shift out of park without pressing the brake. We have not had this occur previously or we have just always been pressing the brake.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While traveling various speeds, the 4 wheel drive lever would shift independently and the "4 wheel drive shift in progress" warning message would illuminate. The contact took the vehicle to several dodge dealers, including athens dodge chrysler jeep ram (4145 atlanta hwy, athens, ga 30606), gwinnett chrysler dodge jeep ram (5054 ga-78, stone mountain, ga 30087), and akins dodge chrysler jeep ram (220 w may st, winder, ga 30680). The actuator and electrical harness were replaced; however, the failure continued. The manufacturer informed the contact to take the vehicle back to the original dealer to be serviced. The contact brought the vehicle back to athens dodge, but they were unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was less than 10,000.
Dead pedal , if i start accelerating from a stop and notice i cannot make it, let off the gas and reapply, there is a long delay for acceleration. I have almost been hit a number of times and now worried to cut into traffic. Excessive lag time when ac is on. Takes longer to get power.
The contact's husband owns a 2016 ram 2500. While the vehicle was parked in a driveway, it shifted out of park and rolled in reverse up a small hill, crashed into a house, and the vehicle came to a stop only because the driver side door was open which stopped the vehicle from reversing any further. The contact mentioned that the driver was unloading at the time and did not sustain any injuries due to the failure. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for the failure. Testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was previously repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 17v821000 (power tran) at dayton andrews dodge chrysler jeep ram dealer, (located at 2301 24th st n, st petersburg, fl 33713, (727) 321-0500). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.
Purchased 2016 dodge ram 2500 laramie, mega cab - noticeable vibration at highway speeds between 60-80mph - at certain speeds it's constant, at other speeds it's intermittent. Notified dealership who suggested balancing tires, road forcing tires, etc before bringing it in for warranty service. Took the truck to several tire shops to have the tires balanced, road forced, changed out for different tires, etc.nothing related to tires "fixed" the issue.brought truck back to dealer for warranty service, they replaced two tires that were (supposedly) "bad" and returned the truck to me.issue was not resolved.returned the truck for warranty service and reported the issue to fiat chrysler the dealership changed out the drive shaft and returned the vehicle to me indicating that there was nothing more they could do and that any remaining vibration could not be "fixed."drove the truck home and felt the vibration.continued driving at highway speeds increases the vibration.only way to "eliminate" the vibration is to drive at 10 miles below or above the speed limit on the interstate (neither of which is safe, in my opinion).
Dead pedal, when driving i.e.: in traffic with on again off again pedal i notice a brief period of "dead pedal " where there is no response.this has occurred more than once.
For the last year or so, i have been having an issue with the 4wd shift in progress message coming on at random times. I have had it to the dealership where i purchased it at, victory ram of kansas city and they "could not duplicate the problem".
The check engine light keeps coming on. I have had at the dealership 3 times. The third time the dealer had my vehicle for 6 weeks. When i went and picked it up, i got approximately 1 mile down the road and the check engine light came on again. I took the vehicle back to the dealer and it is currently still being worked on to try and figure the problem out. The check engine code keeps showing the torque converter. The dealer changed the valve body the third time that it was there.

Clutch master cylinder failed while driving in 2nd gear, no clutch pressure, could not stop truck and it would not stall, i ended up turning key off after driving over curb on tosidewalk. This was while trying to stop for stopped cars at traffic light.fortunately i was only moving at maybe 10 mph. Florida truck,26k miles on it.
When driving between 62and 80mph the truck develops a shack through the whole truck that make it hard to see out ofmirrors and is uncomfortable to drive not feeling very safe
While securing our family into the 2016 ram 2500 truck we had just purchased new at the dealership, i found that the rear center seat belt was not anchored to the floor, leaving the center seating position unsafe for occupancy. It was after closing by the time this issue was discovered so the seat belt was not able to be fixed before we left the dealership. Vehicle was taken to a different dealership two days later to have the seat belt properly secured, as it should have been before leaving the factory......updated 08/11/16
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, the rear windows failed to operate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear window motor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. After the repair, the contact attempted to secure a child safety seat in the rear of the vehicle; however, the seat belt came out of the seat belt housing. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. After speaking with the manufacturer, the contact was informed that a team from the manufacturer would have to inspect the vehicle to inspect the seat belt failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 400.
When pulling a camper the truck shut off (there was no function of the gas or brake pedal) causing the camper to jack knife and hit the rear tail light. When the camera caught up to the truck wet spun 180 degrees at 65 mph then flipped.no airbag went off and the seatbelt did not stay locked. My son who was sitting in the back climbed out of the backseatwithout unlatchinghis seatbelt.
Driver's seat belt buckle releases the seat belt without being touched. I tug on the belt every time i latch it because of this but it still releases the belt afterwards about 30% of the time, usually just after pulling away from the parking spot. I bought the truck with 48, 000 miles on it and almost 1 year old. It has done this since i first bought it.
Rear window leaking water onroof, seats, and carpet. Truck was sitting in driveway
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While driving at unknown speeds, the brake pedal was applied, but failed to respond. The contact received only eight volt braking power. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (spitzer chrysler dodge jeep ram of homestead (30101 s dixie hwy, homestead, fl 33033) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was working as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 31,831.
The recommended pressure for front axle tires is 60 psi, with axle load rating of 5500 pounds. The recommended pressure for rear axle tires is 80 psi with axle rating of 6500 pounds. According to firestone, the manufacturer of the factory installed tires, the pressure required for even rear axle max load weight rating is 70 psi. For normal load of 3000 to even 5000 pounds on the rear axle, 50 psi is more than adequate according to firestone. At 50 psi a load range e tire can carry 2680 pounds, giving an axle capacity of 5360--well over the daily weight for most non-commercial drivers.over inflated tires not only wear poorly, they are dangerous. Over inflation greatly reduces the tread patch that contacts the road surface, causes excessive and unnecessary bouncing, increases the risk of tire damage from pot holes, and basically provides for an unsatisfactory driving experience. I'm certain the engineers at ram are aware of these facts because in previous years they provided for both light and heavy service inflation. It is utterly unacceptable and grossly negligent for ram to recommend, and basically require, that owners operate their 7000 pound vehicles on tires inflated to carry over 13000 pounds. Ram is causing possibly millions, certainly hundreds of thousands of truck owners, to unwittingly endanger themselves and others on highways around the country with these dangerous tire inflation recommendations.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While attempting to drive up a hill with a trailer in tow, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact also stated that the rear brakes failed to appropriately stop the vehicle. At about 50,000 miles the brake master cylinder on my 2016 ram 2500 diesel pickup completely failed while i was driving on the freeway towing a 24' cargo trailer.i tried to purchase a new master cylinder from a ram dealership but was told that the brake master cylinder part # 68386723aa was discontinued and that the replacement was on 'extreme back order' there are no available replacement brake master cylinders available in any of the western united states.
Factory integrated trailer brake controller is unable to safety stop a 10,000 lb trailer. Have tried multiple different trailers with this truck and same results. Truck cannot safety stop the truck and trailer combination safely, the trailer pushes the combination through a stoplight. Even with trailer brake settings set at the max, still does not safely stop the vehicle.have been to dealer with this issue, state the the system is working as designed and refuse to acknowledge that there is a safety issue
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. The contact stated that while operating the towing trailer brake, the trailer brake control failed to operate. The check wire connection and trailer disconnect error messages were displayed on the instrument panel. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle downshifted, the brakes and low gear was selected to control the trailer brakes. The vehicle was taken to christopher's dodge ram (16655 w colfax ave, golden, co 80401) to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided a case number. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000. The vin was not provided.
Required brake pedal pressure is excessive.in panic braking situations the brake pedal goes to the floor.truck takes way longer to stop than it should.also, in reverse it takes extreme brake pedal pressure to stop the truck.
The trailer brake controller does not apply the trailer brakes enough to slow the trailer. I have had the brake controller serviced 3 times under warrantee and it still does not work properly.my trailer is a 34 foot trailer manufactured in 2016.the trailer woks correctly when towed by my friend's truck and the trailer dealership tow vehicle. The brake controller barely applies a slight drag to the trailer brakes at all speeds.it does not apply additional braking force when set at the maximum setting (+10) and manually moved to the maximum braking setting.
Thank you
I was driving down the street at 35 mph when all of a sudden i lost my brakes. I had to swerve to avoid hitting another car and ended up on the sidewalk. I then pushed my emergency brake in to stop. I ran into a street sign and the front passenger quarter panel, light and mirror were damaged. Once i was able to get a tow to my office i realized that what had happened was the shock had broken off the axle and severed the brake line. This is the fourth time that this shock has come of the axle and dodge has done nothing to solve the problem. Now my life was put in danger along with that of others on the road. Thank god a pedestrian wasn't on the sidewalk or they would be dead.
Brake line from master cylinder ruptured due to chafing against plastic abs box under the hood causing massive loss of brake fluid and a loss in braking effectiveness.it was discovered after pulling over to investigate the brakes sponginess and lack of stopping power.
Signal to 5th wheel brakes failed then a light to service electronic brake system came on and the electronic stability control failed.i was on a grade and barely stopped with all 4 wheels smoking.trailer was well under the factory weight for towing capacity.chp and local sheriff stopped but didnā€™t make a report.if it had failed 100 yards later i probably wouldnā€™t be sending in this complaint alive and well.i truly believe itā€™s a ram issue and needs to be resolved before other trucks have this issue.dodge canā€™t get to the fix for a few weeks so iā€™m stuck without a vehicle
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While driving 40 mph, the brake pedal was applied but failed to respond. The brake pedal would occasionally travel to the floorboard. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (webber family motors located at 1389 wenner rd detroit lakes, mn 56501 218-847-2601), but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 18,000.
Integrated brake controller does not output enough power to apply brakes on camper properly
The vehicle was driving on the highway at around 60 mph when the abs and traction control warning lights came on. Immediately after the warning lights flashed on, the right front brake seized up followed by the left front brake. Vehicle skidded to a halt and was no longer drive-able due to the brakes being completely seized. This was extremely dangerous as there was no warning of the sudden stop and inability to fully control the movement of the vehicle. The vehicle could also not be moved further from the roadside. Vehicle was towed to a dealership. The dealership reported that the brake caliper bracket broke causing the front hub bearing to blow apart which led to damage of the brake pads and rotors. The left front rotors were damaged from the heat of locking up.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. The contact stated while driving 35 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to respond. The contact depressed the parking brake pedal and the vehicle stopped. The warning messages "brake fluid low" and "service electronic braking system" appeared on the instrument panel. The check engine warning light, the traction control warning light, and the brake warning light were illuminated. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle and the brake pedal responded while depressed. The vehicle was drivable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 106,500.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While driving at 40 mph down a mountain the steering wheel failed to move. The contact stated that the floor mat was stuck on the steering shaft knuckle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to henry brown chrysler jeep dodge 1990 n pinal ave, casa grande, az 85122 (520) 836-2147 but was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 131,000. *dt
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While driving approximately 45 mph and making a left turn, the steering completely malfunctioned. The vehicle veered to the right and caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle while towing a cargo trailer. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the axle bolt sheered off. The contact indicated that the vehicle was previously repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 19v021000(steering). The failure occurred on components that had been welded as part of the recall remedy. The cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was towed to an unknown dealer. The manufacturer was notified. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 46,000.
Steering drag link.fca safety recall their fix was to weld the adjusters now steering alignment cannot be corrected unless fca cuts an rewelds. They were supposed to replace with new design drag link which the 2019 hd trucks now have! cannot properly align truck pulling with tire wear.
Dodge recall v06the vehicle steering since the recall was complete is loose and when you hita bump in the truck veers to the left doesnt feel stabile above 40 mph doesnt turn into a corner as it used to difficult to make turns and park
Received a recall earlier this year in ref. To my 2016 ram 2500 diesel. The steering drag link could come loose and cause an accident. A few months ago i was sent another notice that the repairs have begun. It was suppose to be a 2 hours fix and i was directed to take it to the dealership. On july14, 2019 i called ourisman dodge ram jeep of bowie maryland and made an appointment for the repair for july 23, 2019 at 8:20 hours. I arrive slightly early and was confronted by an unknown service rep who told me that i could not have an appointment because they were not accepting or scheduling any recall repairs on the ram trucks. I assured him that i had made an appointment and since this was such a dangerous recall, i need my vehicle serviced. He refused. He did say that he would take the truck, but it may be 3-4 weeks before he had time to look at it. I thought that was unacceptable. He stated that all maryland dealerships were "backed up" and would not complete the recall work. He told me to go to virginia and have the work done. I purchased this truck from this dealership and though that was poor customer service. I called the service manager (scott donaldson) and it's been 2 days and he has not returned my telephone calls. Can a dealership refuse to honor recall/warranty work??
Drag link jam nuts keep coming loose. This is the 3rd time since owning the truck.
This is in reference to 19v-021. Chrysler's fix is to weld a jam nut which will not allow the vehicle to have an alignment. If the recall fix breaks my vehicle in another way it is not really a fix.
Safety recall v06 / nhtsa 19v-021 drag link - january 25, 2019this so called fix is abhorrent! it calls for welding an adjustable part of the steering linkage rendering it non-adjustable when having the front end aligned in the future. Not to mention the effect of welding, potentially causing a problem with the integrity of the metal. The correct fix for this safety issue is to replace this steering linkage component, the entire drag link! not do a "back yard, shade tree mechanic" weld job on the steering linkage of all things! i am appalled that nhtsa approved such a thing. Please revisit this issue and do the right thing. Require chrysler (fca us llc) to replace this defective part with the proper part. Note.... Chrysler is not welding the nuts on the drag links on trucks coming off the assembly line! they are coming off with proper, safe, adjustable drag links!signed, owner of a 2016 ram 2500 which i ordered and purchased new.
When driving my 2016 ram 2500 there is wobble or severe vibration. At highway speeds i sometimes have to fight with the steering. It feels like it is effecting the front of the truck. This is an alignment problem, however, in response to the drag link recall the dealer has welded the drag link in place preventing it from being aligned. Newer model trucks that were part of the recall had the part replaced but the older model (mine is 2016) were welded in place. In order to have alignment adjusted the weld will have to be broken and then rewelded. Everytime the weld is broken and redone to allow for alignment it weakens the metal. This is not safe but then again, neither is driving with the front end wobbling.in addition, none of the repair shops want to have anything to do with breaking the weld and aligning my truck due to the liability of doing such.
I called my dealer about a recent recall notice i received in the mail.they informed me that they would be welding the threads on my center drag link.this prevents the steering wheeel from ever being adjusted after an alignment.this now creates another safety issue with a steering wheel that will be way off center.so much for the 1- & 2 positions.this so called fix is is a disgrace! it calls for welding an adjustable part of the steering linkage rendering it non- adjustable when having the front end aligned in the future. Note.... Chrysler is not welding the nuts on the drag links on trucks coming off the assembly line! they are coming off with proper, safe, adjustable drag links! i will die in this truck before i let fca weld anything on my steering linkage.just so you know.
I am the owner of a 2016 ram 2500 withthe drag link recall. The proposed fix to the drag link does not correct the issue. Whle it provides a work around, there are compliants that even after the parts are welded owners experience this issue. This should be further investigated and the root cause which is defective parts should be replaced and not simply welded. I have contacted chrysler several times in an attempt to get the parts replace but they have indicated they will not comply with my request.i would like to know how this "fix" is acceptable by nhsta to make it safer and acceptable.nhtsa campaign number: 19v021000
Recall fix for drag link, per manufacturer is following your requirements to weld adjustment nuts to drag link adjuster.no parts available at this time, no future fix is underway.i feel this is an unacceptable fix.welding a steering part that is designed to be adjustable is not a safety fix.i purchased an aftermarket drag link and replaced it myself until a safe fix is available. Fca refused to reimburse me for the replacement drag link.note the replacement is not welded, super glued or duck taped fix.the welding of the drag link would require it to be cut to be adjusted and then rewelded.if any future repairs are required a reputable repair shop will not work on this vehicle due to the poorly designed fix.the only repair then would be the dealer who is not a certified welding company.it would not allow me to take my vehicle for repair or maintenance to any shop i would want.i was unaware that you are the ones that design a repair and not require the manufacturer to have replacement part.i hope the lug nuts or steering wheel does not fail, they will want to weld it also.poor design and poor fix.i am sure that you would not transport your children, family members or grand children in a poorly repaired fix.
Recall v06 calls for part the steering components to be welded.if the jam nuts are loose or the threads are bad the drag link is replaced.i don't feel comfortable with a not certified welder welding a steering component that was never designed to be welded.i am also not comfortable with the fact that once they are welded i can never had my truck aligned again.fca also updated the design for the 2019 model year indicating that they felt the welding is not the best solution.fca does not know why the drag links are separating.the threads could be bad and welding the jam nuts will not prevent a separation.further many states will fail a vehicle for inspection if any of the steering system has any welded repairs.virginia code 19vac30-70-470the state of utah where i live has manual to inspect vehicles.it also states to reject a vehicle if a welded repair is present.so how can fca put out a recall fix that would cause the vehicle to fail a safety inspection?fca should replace the drag link with their updated version that does not have a separation issue.
Recall number 19v021000 was performed to correct drag link jam nuts loosening. Took truck in to get alignment done and the reapir shop wants to charge $700 dollars for replacement drag link because they cannot adjust draglink due to previous recall. This is unacceptable and should have never been a permeant fix and now forcing consumers to pay for something that should have been fixed the right way. I am suprised that a class action lawsuit hasnt been brought on by this
I have tried many times to get these numerous safety recall complied with and get no follow up from my local dealer! i took it in for a scheduled appointment and was told parts were on order. It's been far to long, i have checked in numerous times and get no help. Please find a place that can make my vehicle safe or make them buy it back from me! i don't want to die, or kill an innocent family!*dt
After buying new tire. I had an alignment done. In order to align the vehicle i was told the draglink was welded in solid and because of that it makes the steering wheel off center. It is a $500+ dollar fix with custom parts. I feel this could be a problem and safety issue.
My vehicle has a recall for the drag link. When i took it to the dealer they welded the drag link together with the steering wheel off center.now i cannot adjust the steering wheel. This is dangerous when a new driver uses the truck and does not realize the steering wheel is off center. The dealer refuses to correct saying thispart of an alignment. When the dealer fixes a safety problem by welding the adjusters shut they should be required to adjust the steering before they remove all capability to adjust.

Dodge/ram have been having this problem for years and it has become the "normal" for their trucks, but this the slack in the steering column is hardly acceptable. I have to constantly drive with my steering at 10 o'clock to drive straight (even after alignments) and quickly adjust 3-4 inches to adjust right if it suddenly starts pulling the other way. I have to constantly get my steering aligned as the left front tire's toe goes out every 6-9 months causing the truck to pull right very hard when braking. It is a constant "high-alert" status to drive because the slightest wind change, pavement texture, or even motorcycle passing is enough to make the steering shift from pulling right to pulling left. This throws me into the left lane sometimes, which puts my life and those around me at risk. This is a fairly new truck and was doing it when i bought it. I though nothing of it as it was still in warranty bit several ram dealerships in multiple states have said they couldn't find anything and that it is "normal." i find that chrysler is negligent to their customers and put people's lives on the line. I have a 2017 ram 1500 for my company work truck and it does the exact same thing, but pulls the opposite direction. It only has 5000 miles when it started developing slack in the steering. Chrysler refuses to spend the extra .02 cents per vehicle to put a reliable steering vibration damper in the steering column. The more i research, the more i find that this has been going on for decades across multiple generations of ram trucks. Chrysler needs to be put out of business for this reckless disregard for the people that drive their trucks. From what i have researched, about 50% of their trucks develop this problem. Problem is noticeable while stationary, and driving at all speeds. Worse at highway speeds and while pulling loads.

I would like to add my vehicle to the list of ones with the steering linkage issue. I have a 2016 ram 2500 diesel and after i purchased the truck used with 34000 miles the steering felt loose so i crawled under it and quickly found the. Coupling for straightening the steering wheel was loose and the back up nuts was not tight. I thought it was a fluke so i tightened it. I had it aligned at the local ram dealership and about two weeks after that it was loose again. I had marked it after the alignment so i was able to realign it and i coated it in oil base paint and cranked it together with two 24' pipe wrench's. I know my vehicle very well and if i had not noticed this it could have easily been a different outcome. Of course now it will probably never come apart but i wanted to be able to trust it. This is a problem that you really need to address.

Tailgate fell open while i was pulling a cargo trailer on interstate 40 in tennessee. Due to road roughness and noise i was unaware of it until i stopped for fuel. The tailgate had fallen onto the trailer jack handle and damaged the tailgate. There is a significant dent into the top of the tailgate and also damage to the plastic topcap on the tailgate. In addition there is an arc shaped scratch across the tailgate above the latch handle.
When operating 2016 ram 2500 and towing a trailer, the tailgate dropped while traveling causing the tailgate to become damaged and striking the trailers jack handle and bending tailgate. I've read several complaints that the tailgates are dropping while operating truck.
Have 2016 ram truck, jumps out of gear hits a fence. Take it to a dealer they admit there is a recall. They repair the recall and tell me to call fca customer support 1800-992-1997 i speak with quintin and he tells me since the dealer already replaced the part, they can not confirm that is why my truck rolled into a fence. And denied the body repairs. I ask for documentation that states why they are refusing to repair damage due to their defective product. They tell me that is confidential and that i need to go thru my insurance to make a claim. So i have to pay for their faulty equipment. Lesson learned don't purchase from chrysler ...
Tailgate falls down in park or driving down the road it doesn't happen all the time jut when it feels like it could strike kid in the head or something could fly out of the truck you also ask when this happened it has happened many times

The tailgate on my 2016 ram 2500 power wagon has fallen open three seperate times in the past month. After the first incident, i made sure it was fully shut by pulling/tugging on the tailgate. All three incidents occured immediately after entering the truck and while accelerating. The truck was moving just under 30mph.

Vibration between 65 and 84 mph.started having problem at 14000 miles.allegedly, dealer found axles to be warped (sure they were) and replaced (unlikely)...but thinking it was lip service to get me out the door and leave them alone (no evidence provided after service of malfunctioned parts).have had wheels balanced numerous times, centramatic balancers applied, new tires, new wheels.nothing has fixed the problem.

On the evening of march 26, 2019 i was driving my truck on a residential street when i heard a rubbing noise that i thought was an indicator that my brakes were worn and needed replaced.i visually inspected under the truck and found no leaking fluids, or debris caught between my rotor and brake pad.on the morning of march 27, 2019 i was driving on the highway when i heard what i believed to be a metal on metal sound.i was unsure if the sound came from my vehicle or a passing vehicle.as i got at or around 2 miles from that location my abs light came on and i hear a loud popping noise.the front of my truck began violently bouncing up and down.i struggled to maintain control of the vehicle as this malfunction happened.i was able to get my truck to the side of the roadway and up the exit ramp.i exited the vehicle and examined underneath for any fluids or any other signs of malfunction.as i went to the passenger side of the vehicle i observed my front passenger wheel was cantered out and up as seen in the attached photograph.it should be noted that i have after market wheels and tires, however they have only been on the vehicle since september of 2018.i had the vehicle towed to john jones ram in corydon in where it was diagnosed as a wheel bearing failure.the failure also damaged my caliper, rotor and speed sensor.in my experience i have never had a wheel bearing fail so quickly and catastrophically.as a professional firefighter i have driven a multitude of emergency vehicles and it took all of my ability to keep from losing control of my vehicle when the failure occurred. This vehicle is a 2016 ram 2500 with about 56,000 miles.

Driving down interstate 75 going 70 mph my 2016 dodge ram 2500 stalled. I had to pull over and i sat on the side of the road for 30 minutes before my truck would start back up. I made it back to ocala and it stalled again. I waited 30 minutes and it started back up. The next day i dropped my truck off at phillips dodge ocala fl. Phillips diagnosed that my tpim needs to be replaced. I started doing research on the tpim and noticed 2007-2015 the dodge rams 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, 5500 all had a recall. How is it my 2016 dodge ram 2500 is having the same exact issues as the previous models? why is my 2016 not covered under this recall?

We get diesel exhaust fumes in the cab when the heater is on. The fumes are worse when at a stop or light.
Pulled out of a side road making a left onto main roadway (roadway was damp after a rain storm)traction control light flashed and throttle pedal became inoperative.i receiveda service electric throttle message on the dash. I was without any throttle control for about two minutes and in that time was almost rear ended twice.
Heater could explode getting plugged and leaking. Was informed by dodge it is a common problem.
Dead throttle response. There is a serious lag in the throttle when ,starting from a dead start,or when you back off on the throttle andthen press the accelerator. There is a definite dead spot, and very dangerous while in traffic. The truck has been like this since new
T51 recall says there is a 1% chance my ram 2500 2016 could have a engine compartment fire and dealer said there is nothing they can do. I asked to get a rental till this is solved and was denied by dealer. They also could not tell me when replacement parts are available.
Lost use of steering wheel controls on left side of steering wheel. Horn does not work when pressing horn button. Have had airbag light flash at interment times. After research have found others have same problems on several tears of ram trucks.
The tail gate keeps opening on its own.it opened while towing our boat. It opened while driving home with groceries.it keeps happening but my vin has not been included in the safety recall please explain why?

Severe diesel exhaust fumes/smell in cab of truck.happens when heat is turned on and sometimes can smell from outside of vehicle while running.it is bad while driving but worse when stationary at stop sign or stop light.
Takata recall- after traveling 2 hours to work in -6 degree weather i have to roll the window down for the security check. After 2 hours of driving with the truck well heated inside my driver side window popped and believe that the window track is moving without the window. Had to open the door since i could hand the guard my id through the window. I've researched online and have found numerous complaints about my model and year truck so i know that i am not alone. Apparently the design of the window clips and track assembly is different then the years prior. The clips are flimsy and sometimes break. I understand the window could freeze but after two hours of driving you would think that it would be safe to operate the window. All of my other windows are working fine after i had the issue with my driver side window.
Ram dropped the ball with the throttle delay (dead pedal) from a stop or slow speed! 3 month old truck, now in nearly 2 accidents just trying to merge onto highway due to throttle delay while my wife and 4 kids were in the truck. 100% disappointed - fix or lemon law my vehicle.
There is a current recall 17v821000 power train:automatic transmission:lever and linkage:column shift. I just bought this truck and was cleaning it when my kids pulled on the shifter in the driveway and it came out of park with no key in the ignition. I took the truck to dodge and they told me there was no recall and would not honor anything on line that i had found.
Electronic throttle control light flashes and all throttle control is lost. This problem has happened on startup as well as when driving down the road. Vehicle has been back to dealer and (repaired?) four times for the same problem in less than two months. Only 11,000 miles on truck.
I was driving down a 4 lane highway and slowed down to traffic in front of me to approx ten miles per hour and pushed the throttle pedal to find it did nothing at all. I panicked and hit the pedal 4 times to the floor and back and had nothing and the. The fifth times a small 4 seconds later it jerked and spun the rear tires breaking the traction loose on the wet pavement and making the truck fishtail sideways into the edge of the lane beside me. Scary and embarrassing. I had no fault codes and 350 miles to drive today back home pulling a 41' camper. Looked on websites online and found numerous complaints about the same thing and fca has not address the issue with a true fix... My truck has 4507 miles on it.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 18v332000 (electrical system, vehicle speed control). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer (larry h. Miller dodge ram tucson, 4220 e 22nd st, tucson, az 85711, (520)-395-9311) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer also confirmed that the parts were not available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While the vehicle was stopped at an intersection, the reduced throttle warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was unable to move. The failure recurred twice. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 1,600.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While the contact's girlfriend was driving the vehicle, the gear shift lever was placed in the reverse position, but the vehicle accelerated forward. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a mobile home and a portable shed. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to the face and mid-section. The driver was transported by ambulance to the local hospital to seek medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 23,000.
Depressed the accelerator pedal to speed up and vehicle continued to gain speed on it's own.shifted vehicle to neutral and accelerator was still continuing to accelerate.shut vehicle off then restarted vehicle, once accelerator pedal was depressed vehicle againcontinued to gain speed on on its own.had to brake excessively to stop vehicle again put vehicle in neutral ,engine was revving and turned ignition off again.this incident happened at the moment i left my driveway on a rural road.vehicle was in motion when incident occurred.vehicle computer displayed " electronic throttle service needed" . Each time the vehicle continued to gain speed on it's own.

The contact owns a 2016 ram 2500. While driving with the cruise control engaged, the engine revved without warning. When the contact placed the gear shift lever in park, turned off and restarted the vehicle, the vehicle operated as intended. The vehicle was taken to larry h. Miller chrysler jeep tucson (7800 e 22nd st, tucson, az 85710 (520) 258-6000) where it was diagnosed that the speed control switch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 18v332000 (electrical system, vehicle speed control). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 83,888.
Came to stop light after running 20 minutes on the freeway.when pulling away, the throttle was not responding, but i was in the intersection (since the truck moves without your foot on the brake) and needing to accelerate to not get hit.pressed on and off the accelerator until finally the engine started to respond. This is the 4th or 5th incident.my previous incidents were reported under complaint number 10969231.incident occurred with 14862 miles on the odometer.
Dead pedal.step on the accelerator pedal and nothing happens for 5 to 10 seconds.three times with under 5k miles.running at 60 for 30 minutes on a highway, come to a stop, ready to cross the street, press on the accelerator, and nothing, keep pressing and it finally kicks in.second time, in street traffic, inching along for 15 min, get to yellow light, press on the accelerator, and nothing, in the middle of an intersection and light is red and truck won't go.inched it out of the intersection.third time, on same drive, transitioning freeways, running at speed, 70, then came to a stop on the new freeway, press on accelerator, and nothing for many seconds, then it takes off.i have lost confidence in the vehicle as i do not know when it will not perform and leave me in harms way.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 400.
I'm having problems with trying to find tires that a) ride well, and b) look good to accommodate the tire pressure monitors.in this truck the warning light is set so high that i have to keep 80 psi in the tires.the dealer says it's a requirement by the nhtsa.are we (consumers) stuck with this problem, or is there some kind of "fix" that would allow the dealer to adjust the warning down to something like 45 psi?thanks for your time.
The contact owns a 2016 dodge ram 2500. Wheel studs sheared while driving. The contact who work as a mechanic performed a self evaluation of the vehicle and became aware that five of the wheel studs on the driver's side front wheel had sheared off. The contact stated that the wheel bearings were previously replaced by burdick dodge chrysler jeep ram 5885 cir dr e #335, cicero, ny 13039 (315) 699-3846. The vehicle was not repaired.
