Stop lamps, head lamps, exterior lighting, door locks. Repeatedly going out. Door locks and window no longer working. Recall p32 and n59 address these issues, however chrysler states our manufacturing month is not within their recall dates. This has happened repeatedly since purchasing vehicle. We took it to a repair shop and they pulled up these recalls with our vin from shopkeypro. All dates and mileage are approximate since this has happened repeatedly.

The truck was recalled and repaired or up dated as per recall notices. Then i started having trouble with my cruise control. My dealer checked the switch and fuse , they where ok. The tech said there is maybe something broke in the clock spring. I only have 29k on the truck. I think they may have broke something in one of the recall fixes. There seems to be other people with the same trouble. I don't think they fixing the recalls properly. Why should i pay for their guess work and/or sloppy work.

R46 recall steering trackbar separation.

Service airbag system light comes on constantly. I have taken it to the dealer and they cannot find an issue. It is not only annoying, but flat out scares me to think that the airbags could inadvertently deploy, or fail when needed. There is no recall on the vehicle, nor can the dealer make heads or tails of the issue.

I was in a front end collision causing $20,000 dollars in damage and the air bags failed to go off. The front end was completely destroyed yet no air bag deployment. I was travelling about 35 mph and had very little time to brake. I hit the other vehicle broadside. I was on a 4 lane road and going straight when the accident occurred.*dsy

I noticed the doors were not unlocking on the first try or at all with the key fob. I tried 3 different key fobs and the results were the same. Sometimes only the driver side opened and sometimes not at all. The same went for locking the doors. They would make a sound to lick but they would not activate the locking mechanism. I would have to use the key to manually unlock the driver door and then try to rapidly tap the unlock button inside the door. It would work sometimes. Other times i would manually pull on the stem to open the passenger doors but if you tried to unlock them unsung the electronics first, they would be stuck in this half way position and would not be able to be pulled up to unlock the passenger door.when the doors could not be locked using the electronic locks then the door stem would have to be pushed down on all doors. The problem was that unlocking with a key after triggered the alarm and it would not stop until an unlock signal was sensed. This took pushing the fob endless times. Sometimes without success. The real danger of this presented itself when we stopped driving and had to rapidly exit the vehicle due to emergency. The doors would not unlock. The door handles would not work on the passenger doors trapping my 3 kids in the back seats. I could not manually pull on the stem hard enough to open the doors. Fyi, the manual child locks were off. This incident scared me thinking if there was a fire or roll over and we couldn't get out manually or electrically. Also for safety we have the locks manually activate after driving a bit. This doesn't work sometimes anymore so we are left vulnerable to car jackings. These issues occur mostly when temperatures change outside (humidity?). Forums spoke of locking mechanisms being changed without correcting the issue. Only changing the bcm body control module fixed the problem in every case.

The ignition module on both of my foreman's vehicles have gone out around the same time period. One of them was left stranded for two hours in 110 degree weather as the truck failed to start. Both trucks were around 50,000 miles and were past their factory warranty for parts. Both of these trucks were purchased new in april of 2014. I believe this is more than coincidence. These repairs are going to cost my company thousands of dollars.

2500 hd outdoor edition, 2014. I purchased this truck with 7 miles. At 371 miles the brake sensors were staying engaged and i had a thick layer of brake dust coating the rims and burning brakes. The pass. Side dash was falling apart and the carpet was shredding on that side also. They adjusted the sensors to read the same pressures inside and outside of the brake drum. Reset and reprogrammed many computer sensors. Then my key fob quit working, rear sliding window and tire monitor systems all stopped while i was traveling the mountain pass at 75 mph. From sept, 14, 14, when i unlock the truck with the key every alarm goes off and will not shut off until i start the truck. I could not get the dealership to order my parts or fix my truck so, in january i got an abs recall at this point i called chrysler corp and filed a consumer complaint with their repair team. They contacted the dealership with my concerns. Since, they have changed/reset almost every sensor in this vehicle. From the navigation system, the radio system, they abs etc. Key fob bad still, (3fixes). Computer still malfunctioning badly (6th, fix). The locking unit went out of the sidebox toolboxes, the driver door control panel went out. Odometer reads out at 12 miles over for every 28 traveled. I have documentation and records for 7100 miles, odometer reads over 12,000. Chrysler corp. Has been involved since jan 2015 but refuse to allow me to speak with anyone with authority to discuss lemon laws. Say no such department exists. It goes back in mon. 2-16-15 for yet another round of repairs.

1. Check engine light came on 4 sept 2014 brought it to dealership they cleared the code and gave me the truck back because the code did not return while it was in their possession.2. This same issure has occured 4 more times since that date and the problem has not be resolved, each time they did something different, ie replaced a dosing unit, replaced the nox sensor and now as of 15 oct 2014 are preparing to replace the ecm or brains of the truck. The truck has been in the more than in my possession for the same exact problem since 5 sept 2014.3. Vehicle has vibration between 60 to 80 mph, has been back to the dealership on the day i purchased and also multiple times after that, and problem still has not been corrected by ram. 3 tires have been replaced and now the service manager says "it operates as designed", although the manager also states that he feels the wobble/vibration between those speeds as well.4. I have begun the lemon law process and have received a claim number but chrysler has not yet called me back.

Since purchased new with 30 miles on the odometer, my ram truck has exhibited the following hvac/electrical issues both while stationary and in motion:1. Air flow pressure is greater in the passenger foot well then the drivers2. Air temperature is hotter (when set to heat) on the passenger side then the drivers3. Air flow will continue from the front defroster position (windshield) when set to floor only from the control panelthis condition presents a safety issue as i am forced to constantly fiddle with the hvac while in motion to adjust the interior temperature for my family. Additionally, in my cold climate when heat is directed to the floor i have hot air blowing into my face and eyes that i cannot prevent.the vehicle has been taken to dealer servicing on two occasions. Both times the servicer 'flashed' the hvac system and reported that it is operating as designed. On the second visit the servicer said that they checked another ram on the lot and it's hvac worked in the same way. They said there is nothing more they can do about the issue.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. While driving various speeds, the instrument panel blacked out and sometimes the indicators would flash. The contact called kimberly car city at 563-391-8300 (located at 625 w kimberly rd, davenport, ia 52806) and was informed that there was no recall. The manufacturer was called, but no one answered the phone. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000.

My 8,000lb trailer will not slow down even after adjusting and checking all 4 electric brakes.f-150 hooked up to same trailer in same condition will stop the trailer very fast.many people are having this issue.see below:continental makes the itbm for chrysler to chrysler's requirements.itbm was redesigned for my13 and was used in 2013 and 2014 production which had a newly designed electrical architecture introduced for the 2013 model year. The new architecture changed the traditional brake switch signal and made it impossible for after market trailer brake solutions until the after market developed an interface cable.chrysler again changed the brake signal back to traditional signaling but for an unknown reason (and also undocumented), designed a 70% maximum output from the itbm at speeds below 30mph. What makes this move more mysterious is the manual slide on the itbm, typically used to set the gain of the itbm's output, will not put out maximum braking, but is also limited to the 70% rule making setting your gain impossible as instructed by the owners' manual.we are all waiting for something to happen from chrysler, all that is needed is a software update. I was told by chrysler, if a change was made, it would be introduced in the next ram hd refresh now scheduled for 2019. That was before more noise about this issue.depending on what voltage your trailer's brakes require for forceful stopping determines if you will see the 70% rule issue. For example, my montana needs 10.5 volts for a forceful stop, i'm out of luck. My utility trailer only need 6 volts, no problem, just difficult setting the gain.

While traveling on an interstate highway at approximately 70 mph with the cruise control engaged, i shifted in my seat and my knee hit the key fob and the car's ignition turned off.fortunately, there were no other vehicles around me and i was able to coast to a stop and re-start the vehicle.

I have been receiving a fault code on my truck for "electronic throttle control" i take it to an auto parts store and dealership to only be told no codes are present, even when they see the light on the dash. Since having the code pop up my fuel consumption has increased drastically. My avg mpg went from 14.6mpg to 10.2mpg, with the same driving conditions and same route that i have driven the last 4 years. I have had both the dealership and auto parts store clear the codes that are present, the light goes out. But will return within minutes of driving. But yet no fault codes for it specifically. I have searched the net for this issue and have found several articles on multiple dodge, ram and crystler vehicles doing this same issue with the dealership telling them the same thing. For me to be consuming a larger amount of fuel with driving the same route and conditions this has to be doing something drastic and damaging to the emission and engine.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three occasions where it was diagnosed that the computer software needed to be updated. The fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,000.

Push rods are defective in 2014 engineexplained to me by master mechanic at dodge ram dealer [tim short dodge ]push rods were made of a softer steal where by mushroom in shape over time causeing extreme damage to the rest of the enternal parts of this 10.000 dallar engine . Maintaining regular schuled maintinance makes no differance according to master mechanic these are defected push rods in this engine for that year model dodge has since corrected the defected push rods in the later model trucks 20152016ect.dodge ram should replace engineor at aminimum replace defective parts and labor

The electrical system on this truck has failed multiple times. This has only happens while driving; never at rest/idle. Here's a list of what shuts off:evic, ac/heat, wipers, radio, nav, perhaps more.it has happened 20+ times. I have a video of it too. I bought this truck cpo from a ram dealer with 15968 miles on 2-jun-15. Electrical problems began for me (more on this later) on 21-june-15 or ~16400 miles. Serviced 9-16-july-15 = "tech found stored voltage codes. Vehicle was sitting for some time. Tech reset and cleared codes. Tech check (sic) charging system. Charging as designed. Operating as desinged."electrical problem continued and check engine light remained on until nextservice 28-jul until pick up 4-aug-15. "tech was unable to confirm condition. No codes in system for voltage issues. No update regarding issue."allok on pick-up of truck, but check engine light came back on after driving 2 miles.i was told to take it back to service department of the dealership that sold me the truck.i dropped the truck off at selling dealership on sat, 8-aug.before that drop off, i checked the nav screen to see what the "home" address was stored as.i got in touch with the previous owner (got his info on google from address).he said that he had the exact same issue with the electrical sys. He told me that the dealership was unable to fix/diagnose it. This is why he got rid of it.as of 7-august-2015, i have had the truck for 67 days.of these 67 days, the check engine light has been on for 33 days and it has been in the shop another 16 days!!i am concerned because i am unaware if this will impact the engine or other systems. If the engine fails, this will likely lead to a crash. I have phoned the service departments of other dealers and was told that my concern is a valid one.

While driving the vehicle i needed to change lanes and speed up. A vehicle was to my right and infront of me. I had to let off the throttle for a second to let the vehicle next to me pass. As i pressed the throttle to accelerate and pass the vehicle in front of me there was no response from the vehicle. There was at least a two second delay before the vehicle started accelerating. This has happened several times. Sometimes from a stop when trying to turn into traffic. Other times while moving. It seems to happen when the accelerator pedal is depressed and then pressed again within a short period of time.

Factory trailer brake controller is speed sensitive but does not put out enough volts at speeds below 30 mph.regardless of gain setting, trailer does not have adequate braking and is a serious hazard.connected to a ford factory controller, trailer will lock up brakes.answer from dealer is to install an after market trailer brake controller.this is a serious safety hazard.i am not the only one.

Drove for about 17 miles and parked at a store.within 5 minutes of parking the truck, white smoke could be seen coming from the hood on the passenger side.as i approached the truck flames came out from under the hood in the same area.grabbed a fire extinguisher and returned within one minute to find entire engine compartment in flames.unable to open the hood so the fire extinguisher was not much good.fire department arrived within 5 minutes but it was too late.insurance company took possession of the truck and totaled it.unknown if it was ever determined what caused the fire.updated 7/26/18

The left turn signal was activated while making a left turn on a city street and all lights on the instrument cluster began blinking and continued for several seconds after the turn was made and the switch returned back to the neutral position.as i pulled over the instrument cluster returned to normal so i continued on my way home (5 miles).once i reached home (stopped in driveway) and turned off the vehicle and removed the key, all lights on the instrument cluster began blinking and the vehicle warning for key in the ignition was lit with the key removed.i re-inserted the key and went to run then off with no result, then started and stopped the truck with no result.i exited the truck and confirmed that all external lights (headlights, brakes, turn signals) were in fact flashing.i locked the truck with the fob remote and the problem stopped.2 months prior i had a warning light to service the 4 wheel drive system that cleared after restarting the vehicle and the satellite radio periodically freezes.

On thanksgiving day 11/25/17 at 69,988 miles my ecu-pcm (electronic control unit-power control module) computer started throwing "check engine" light codes erratically "service air bag"installing new 16 spark plugs, new fuel injectors, new mass air flow sensor, codes for check brakes, new 8 ignition coil packs, new gates gas cap too. I had to tow it 125 miles from albuquerque, new mexico to my hometown of las vegas, new mexico via aaa last december 17th 2017 after attending my youngest son dalan's bs degree graduation ceremony from university of new mexico. I pretty much parked it for 9 months off and on it'd go 50 miles, then 28 miles , then 1,500 miles, now i have 72,300 miles on it with it throwing codes and driving me and my mechanics crazy whereas i've already spentnow >greater than $1,500 so far playing cat/mouse re-setting codes over and over due to the malfunctioning ecu-pcm computer. All my repairs so far to no avail due to the computer ecu-pcm needs a new unit! it has a dealer sticker under the hood in fading permanent sharpie marker indicating numbers that the ecu-pcm computer has already been replaced with a substitute one for whatever reason. I am taking my truck in to lithia santa fe, new mexico on october 30 2018 in 10 days re:2 outstanding recalls. I'm going to ask head mechanic james valdez to replace the ecu-pcm with a new one i pay $543/ month payment to useagle fcu for not being able to use it and i owe $30,000 left on this pos! it has been averaging averaging 6 to 9 mpg for god's sake! because of this malfunctioning code issue. I reset the codes constantly-my mechanic lives 7 houses away i drive itwhen it doesn't throw codes. It's almost 11 months it has been nothing but a costly irritating pain in my behind with me only being able to put 2 000 miles & lithia sf,nm warranty administrator paulina sena ignores me not returning messages help me!

My digital cluster is out. Can't see info if something is wrong with truck. It's like the same issue with recall 13v486000 but chrysler says it doesn't cover my truck. It has left me stranded on the side of the road because i couldn't tell what was wrong with truck when it was dinging.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the diesel exhaust fluid warning light and a warning message advising the contact to see the dealer illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. Additionally, the contact stated that the temperature gauge on the driver's side mirror failed to operate in colder temperatures. The dealer diagnosed that the temperature sensor failed and made the necessary repairs. However, the failure recurred.the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

I was in a left turn lane waiting for oncoming traffic to pass before commiting to my turn at a stop. I gradually depressed the accelerator to make the left turn. The truck rolled forward at a rate of about 1mph. With oncoming traffic approaching, i then fully depressed the accelerator pedal with no results. There was no change in rpm, no change in acceleration, or speed for an estimated 3 seconds. The truck then slowly accelerated and i narrowly missed being t-boned by oncoming traffic. This unsafe condition will also happen during highway speeds after returning the pedal to the idle position and then accelerating to pass traffic or enter another lane. I have lost 10-20mph at highway speeds with my foot fully depressing the pedal.there seems to be a total disconnect at times between the accelerator pedal position and engine rpm's/power. I would estimate the occurrence of this issue at 10-15% of accelerator inputs.the truck now has just over 9,000 miles and this has happened numerous times, some nearly causing an accident.

Vehicle will not start, "wrong key fob" appears on driver information center. After trying multiple times, key fob will not come out of dash. No push button or remote start. Research indicates there has been a problem with dodge key fobs since at least 2011.

Driving in my neighborhood about 20 mph coming up to a stop sign hear this howling noise if you will. Then when i hear it instantly something grabbed and locked and stopped me! i've been having issues with my transmission slipping, well not slipping but between gears. Like the rpms were going up but nothing was moving. I'm not talking about the rpm gauge on the truck going up, it's just a rev up sound.then will catch and go i'm guessing it's all with the transmission. I'm just glad i was only doing 20 mph instead of hwy speed when it locked up

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. The contact stated that there was a small fire that originated from under the vehicle. The contact inspected the vehicle and determined that the electrical wires and insulation that was under the vehicle had caused the fire. The contact was unsure as to whether or not the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was the fire chief that was called to the scene of the fire. There were no injuries. The failure mileage was 2,700. ..updated 08/11/14updated 08/19/2014

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in a voluntary manufacturer recall. The vehicle was repaired under the recall but the failure recurred multiple times. The contact also mentioned that the dealer replaced the rf module twice and reprogrammed the sensor five times. The remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 273. Updated 9/11/14the consumer the tires continue to have dramatic pressure changes over the course of 70 miles. Updated 2/3/2015

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. The contact stated that the air conditioning system emitted a loud abnormal noise and failed to activate. The failure occurred on a daily basis. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the diverter box needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000. The vin was not available.

3rd brake light seal leaks water during rain that leaks into rear cab under headliner, down sides of interior wall, and onto floor and pools on floor and under rear seat.

Tpms does not allow setting tire pressures tothe recommended tire setting from the tire manufacturer without triggering warning light and nag screen on startup. Constant warning light and nag screen correction will lead to driver complacency, negating the purpose of tpms alerting the driver to a potential problem with the tires. Tpms required over inflation results in potential loss of vehicle control due to loss of traction. Abnormal tire wear due to tire over inflation increases risk of hydroplaning and loss of control of vehicle.ram customer service has been contacted and confirmed that this problem is systemic, by design, and can not be corrected at present time.potential fix is to reprogram bcm, allowing dealers to reset tpms to appropriate setting for tires and actual load with appropriate documentation.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle caught fire which initiated under the hood. The fire department extinguished the fire out on the vehicle. The vehicle was destroyed and towed away. The cause of the fire was unknown. Prior to the failure, the vehicle displayed an error message stating to check the fuel system. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 25,000.

A week after i bought the truck the problems began, the steering started rattling every time i turned left and on a few occasions it got extremely hard to steer the truck, they rebuilt the front axle once then finally replaced the whole front axle assembly and wiring. The truck shakes bad at 65+ with the factory firestone tires i replaced them. The a/c vent controls stopped working the motors and heater core had to be replaced. The accelerator/throttle is extremely delayed almost to the point of being dangerous and when you let off the throttle the truck violently bangs into gear. The service def light came on yesterday 12/2/14 with 3/4 full tank. I just reached 8500 miles and these trucks are dangerous i hope chrysler fixes these nightmare problems.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. While driving on several occasions, the anti-lock brake and check engine warning indicators illuminated. While the brake pedal was depressed, the brakes failed to operate as intended. The dealer diagnosed that the alternator and battery needed to be replaced, and the anti-lock braking module needed to be re-calibrated. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

While towing a travel trailer, accelerator was applied to allow me to pass some slow semi's. There was no response from the accelerator as i held it down for about 10 seconds. Exhaust brake engaged!! it wasnt even on!! however, i had the cruise control on but not engaged. I quickly engaged the resume feature and used the accelerate function of the cruise control to speed up to avoid an accident. This has happened on multiple occasions but this by far the scariest. Also the exhaust brake engages when not even on at random coasting times when not hauling anything. It is very dangerous to not be able to control a big truck due to these glitches.also two of these firestone tires have worn bald at 18000 miles. Accelerator has no response when a quick stop and go transition is applied.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact stated that while at a stop sign and making a left turn, the vehicle rear end was shaking violently. The electronic stability control warning light illuminated. The contact loss control of the vehicle and crashed into another vehicle. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the electronic stability would cause the vehicle rear end to shake violently. As a result, the front track bar bracket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 39,820.

When you are accelerating in this vehicle and you have to lift from the throttle and then start accelarating again, the truck will not respond. Examples of when this situation frequently occurs are: merging on an expressway, leaving a stop sign or traffic signal, turning left through oncoming traffic and busy stop and go traffic. It always happens in these situations and i feel it is quite dangerous. When the truck was new, i left a stop sign, had to let off the throttle and then get back on it and the truck simply wouldn't move. I had to coast off onto the shoulder and then take off from a dead stop. It has not done it that bad since, but it is still there and a major safety concern.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. While driving 55 mph, the engine turned off and the "put vehicle in park" warning light flashed. The contact also stated that the vehicle was not shifting gears properly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the tcm flash needed to be updated. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,787. Updated 04/10/15*lj

Either going from a dead stop or while in traffic and applying the pedal to increase speed, the engine "stalls" for a few seconds and then re-gains it normal speed.pulling my travel trailer and attempting to pass a vehicle, the engine stalled causing me to apply the brakes and fall back in behind the vehicle i was attempting to pass.engine stalls when not towing and when towing.many close calls from being hit due to truck slowing down.i view this as others do ~ dead pedal.this is a major issue that the dealer fails to understand or doesn't believe you.a few more trips to the dealer with this problem and i am going to go with the "lemon law."

A dead throttle pedal occurs at two different instances. One, when from a dead stop pulling out into traffic. The accelerator pedal will press but the vehicle will not go or change rpm for a second, then the vehicle will move. Two, when trying to pass someone, occasionally the vehicle will exhibit the same dead pedal response for a moment then accelerate. This is most definitely unsafe for my family. Multiple dealerships have told me they cannot replicate the problem, but i have researched online and many others have experienced the same. It is a concern that must be fixed.

My 2014 ram diesel has what people call throttle lag. Mine is more severe than the other safety complaints filed. My truck sometimes will die when the throttle is slightly depressed then you coast to the side of the road and the truck is idling, after a few seconds you can drive off with the engine missing, then with the engine light on it will run fine for a while. It has set at the dealership going into the fourth week. This is the fifth dodge 2500 diesel i have owned, with no problems on the others.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 mph, a grinding noise was present coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear differential and the rear axle would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. In march of 2016 while driving approximately 75 mph, a warning displayed indicating that the speed would reduce to 5 mph. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the emission system, the catalytic converter, and gaskets would need to be replaced. In october 2016 while driving approximately 45 mph, the engine fan assembly, the power steering, and the power brake failed. The cause of the failure had not been determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 4,000.

I have a 2014 ram 2500. When at a stop with the defrost on and the vehicle is regening i get the diesel exhaust smell. I understand while defrost is on, it is pulling in fresh air. I took it to dodge and they can not force regen the truck. So i took it to another shop, after putting over 300 miles on the truck. While making circles around the dealer to try and get it to act up. The other shop did a desoot. Instantly you get the smell in the truck. They kept the truck over night and smoked the full exhaust system. Found a minor leak at the tail pipe clamp. They where unable to find any other leaks. Took it back to dodge and they did a desoot also and noticed the smell. The smell was not as strong as it has been for me and my family. A desoot is not a full regen cycle. So i would imagine the smell will not be as strong. Dodge was unable to find any leaks but acknowledges the smell. Dodge was going to replace the egr and chrysler care called them and told them no. That the smell is normal and there is nothing they can do. Chrysler care then told them if customer smells the fumes just turn off the defroster. I have driven many chevy's and fords for work purposes and never have i smelled exhaust during regen. The engineer that stopped all work on my truck also stated it is just physics. When in regen mode and you come to a stop there is no pressure forcing the additional back pressure out. So i managed to save up and purchase my first new $65,000 truck just to poison my family with exhaust fumes.

Dead pedal. Accelerator pedal delay is downright dangerous when pulling out into traffic. Problem is worse when coming to a rolling stop or slow down, then reapplying throttle. It's caused some near miss incidents. Date of incident is asked for below, but the problem has been there since day one and is consistent.

When accelerating, if you have to let off the gas pedal quickly and try to press the pedal back to go again nothing happens. There is about a 2 to 3 second delay before the vehicle responds leaving you losing speed. I have almost been rear ended several times because of this, it is just a matter of time before it happens.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact stated while stopped, the low oil level warning light illuminated. The contact exited the vehicle and became aware of an oil leak underneath the vehicle. While inspecting under the hood, the contact noticed that the alternator wire was in contact with the oil filter which caused oil filter to melt and leak unto the ground. The contact performed the necessary repairs himself. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 139,600.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. While driving approximately 50 mph, the front driver side wheel began to shake and there was a burning odor from the driver side. The front driver side hood area began to smoke and the control began to become unstable. The abs warning light illuminated and the brakes became inoperable. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive, but no official diagnostic was given. The failure mileage was 34,000.

Right hand manifold leak. Unknown if cracked manifold or broken bolts. Vehicle only has 71,000 miles on it. From internet search, this seems like a common problem. This is a safety issue, as the state of pennsylvania fails this during a vehicle safety inspection.

Accelerated onto highway entrance ramp and vehicle continued to accelerate on its own up to 80+ mph. Required hard breaking to get vehicle under control since the electronic ignition will not allow it to be turned off unless the transmission is in park. Required such heavy braking that brakes smoked for several minutes once vehicle was shut down. This incident would have resulted in serious injury and damage if it occurred on city streets. Truck is a 2014 with 10650 miles on it. Vehicle was towed to dealer for repair. Searches on the internet revealed the occurrence of many incidents with dodge and ram electronic throttle controls and i'm surprised none have been reported to the national highway transportation safety administration.

I own a 2014 ram 2500 crew cab with a cummins diesel motor with <5000 miles.i purchased the vehicle brand new from a ram dealer on 5.28.14.on 8/24 i put the vehicle into drive and the rpms immediately climbed and the vehicle accelerated completely on its own.i was not pushing the accelerator whatsoever.i was able to slow the vehicle down, but it was difficult to do and strained the brakes.immediately after i let off the brakes the vehicle immediately accelerated again completely on its own.within 7 or 8 second the vehicle was traveling 50 mph and was accelerating at full speed--completely on its own. I slammed on the brakes to stop at a red light and was almost unable to stop.while stopped at the red light the vehicle was still lunging forward as the rpms remained high.when i left off the accelerator, the vehicle took off on its own again.at this point i was extremely concerned as i was not sure if i would be able to stop it again.a message appeared on the screen that said "service electronic speed control."i was finally able to stop the vehicle again and i could smell the brakes when i turned it off this time because of the strain trying to stop the vehicle.obviously, i am not driving the vehicle at this time.my son was in the truck and we could have been easily killed or killed someone else. I have not yet contacted the dealer (will do so today), but wanted to report this asap because of how serious of an issue this is.i hope this is taken seriously.i don't want anyone to get hurt or killed.

In the last month when i have driven my truck for any amount of time, i have heard my turbo making an odd noise that doesn't sound like my turbo typically sounds like so i posted it to a few forums i belong to pertaining to my make and model of truck. Well the response i'm getting from them is that it is the vgt turbo actuator failing. And upon doing research for this part failing in other people's cummins 6.7 engines, it's very common at or below 100k. If this part of the engine is this big of a fail point of the turbo it should be recalled and fixed so these turbos have a much longer life

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. While driving 70 mph, the steering and braking failed without warning. The contact turned on the hazard lights and forcefully steered to the side of the curb on a hill to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the water pump bearing and serpentine belt were not installed, and the coolant failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 49,294.

Trucks coolant overheated, lost steering/brakes while traveling on interstate highway.trucks water pump bearing seized and broke the impeller shaft causing vehicles fluid to leak over the trucks engine. This resulted in a huge amount of stream /heat on the motor. Had to shut down the motor immediately. With no coolant in the engine and radiator had to be towed to a repair shop.

Engine had small ticking noise when purchased and after 14000 miles began to knock and now dealer is saying the engine is a total loss and no problem of theirs.everything that i have looked up on this issue refers that the engine has wrist pin issues. My complaint reference number with ram customer care is 32326037.this is really a issue for me and my family knowing that we have been dedicated dodge ram consumers for over 30 years owning over 16 vehicles.i was told that they would not put $8000.00 in a $14000.00 pickup, i purchased the vehicle from a five star dealership for $24000.00 one year ago and still owe $14000.00 on the vehicle. So at this point the truck is a total loss for me and my family.

R46 recall steering trackbar separation.

We had a water pump failure where the water pump froze up and broke the serpentine belt at exit 234 on i-15 in montana.it was a friday right after lunch and we were towing our 5th wheel trailer.the dealer in helena couldn't provide service so we were towed to a individuals repair shop in craig, mt. After a water pump, belt and a new starter, we were on the road monday.chrysler offered no assistance.this should be a recall.

This vehicle has the worst acceleration and take off i have ever noticed. If i had to get out of the way of something, i would not be able too. If not fixed this will defiantly cause an accident. I can't even pull out onto the highway and get up to the same speed as other traffic.when i got in my wreck in june i was trying to pass someone who was driving slow and i could not get around them quick enough and they cut me off causing our vehicle to collide.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact stated that the vehicle rolled out of the park position and crashed into an air conditioning unit. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The contact experienced a similar failure in the past, but was able to jump back into the vehicle and stop it with the emergency brake. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was not damaged. The vehicle was taken to chris nikel chrysler jeep dodge ram fiat (918-355-5000, located at 2920 n aspen ave, broken arrow, ok 74012), but the technician was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact later received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 17v562000 (engine and engine cooling) and 17v821000 (power train). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

This truck has a very capable motor.however, the electronics governing the motor have made it unsafe.when you floor the gas pedal (and really need the truck to move for safety, to clear an intersection or merge) there is no response.knowing trucks like i do, this vehicle should have more than enough power to move swiftly but instead it just crawls due to electronic regulation on the motor.this is a huge safety concern.

When i accelerate there is a lag. This is from a stop or while applying the accelerator, and pushing it more to pass or merge. Also this lag at any speed seems to make the truck lunge, and it feels like it may be shifting wrong.

2014 ram 2500 4x4 cummins diesel 68rfe auto trans. Significant lag in acceleration when actuating the pedal. 2+- seconds of no response before truck starts accelerating. Could be very dangerous in city driving or merging situations.

The contact stated the technician replaced some exhaust vents behind the seats, the exhaust pipe underneath the cabin and also replaced clamps in the turbo engine. The contact stated that fumes were present in the vehicle only when the air conditioning or heating were activated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure through arbitration when the contact requested a vehicle buy-back. The contact was informed that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure recurred. This is regarding the 6.7l cummins engine.throttle lag from a dead stop such as merging into traffic or crossing a road is dangerous.this lag could very well cause me to get rear ended or broad sided.there is also very significant lag after the gas pedal has been released and then pressed once again.an example is when slowing down when approaching a slower car and then changing lanes and pressing and accelerating to go around the vehicle.

The engine has a exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold.after a few minutes the leak will stop. You shut off the truck even for a few minutes then start it again the leak comes back. It leaks exhaust into the cab when it is leaking. I took my truck to my local dealer they gave a estimate for repairs($610.00) the dealer tolled my this is a common problem.i call chrysler customer centerthey tolled me that there is nothing they can do to help me. Can you please look into this thank you

Water pump is leaking. Weep hole is clogged.other ram water pumps have been recalled.

Started up my truck to go to town, engine came on about 5 min in the drive so i took it straight to o'reillys where they did the scan and the computer said misfire in cylinder 3. So we changed the spark plugs and took it back to reset the light, started it back up and light came on again with same explanation. So we parked the vehicle until we could find what was going on, talked to a mechanic and he said probably the cam/lifter problem, he looked at the vehicle seen i had a dropped valve seat(very odd for just starting up a vehicle) so we called dodge and they insisted they had to diagnosis it so we paid a towing company to haul it to them. Dodge called me back and said dropped valve seat but also cam/lifters need replaced. I dont see how dodge can just say it's on you to fix with this many vehicle owners all having the same problem. This is expensive fixes but not only that i have a truck with a loan payment that i cannot drive till it's fixed.

Periodically when pressing gas pedal i get no response and truck just lags.unfortunately this seems to always happen when i'm trying to merge onto the highway or when i'm making a left turn and although i make the turn with oncoming traffic at a good distance sometimes the truck just stops and i have a delay before the truck starts moving again while i'm sitting right in the way of oncoming traffic.

When starting to leave a stop sign after accelerating somewhat foot slipped off of accelerator. When i stepped on accelerator again there was a substantial lag (3 or more seconds) until the accelerator began to work again. When i reported same to local dealer i was told that this was how is was designed to work. Problem as i see it:i am pulling out into faster moving traffic and my foot slips off pedal, now i am already engaged in pulling out but my accelerator no longer works, this creates a safety hazard for me and whatever vehicle i am in front of. Solution is to decrease substantially or totally eliminate this lag.traffic. Dealer said this was a complaint they have heard before but so far there was no solution. I am driving a 2500 series pickup that weighs over 7000 lbs. So i can be a serious threat to someone that runs up on me due to the fact that i can not accelerate.

Went to make a left turn across traffic at an intersection, started to go then let off the accelerator when i saw another car come from behind a vehicle and speed around it. But then i realized i was in the way of the on coming traffic so i pushed the accelerator down hard complete my left turn and get out of the way of on coming traffic. When i did this the truck didn't go anywhere for a couple seconds, then it went. It seemed to have a delayed lag to the acceleration. I made my turn without having an accident, but the car traveling the other direction did have to slow way down and honk their horn. I have read that this is a common problem with these trucks and now i know first hand how bad it is. I do feel like this could be an issue with safety if a vehicle can not get out of the way of on coming traffic if the accelerator goes "dead" for a few seconds.

There is about a 1 full second delay from the moment you press the accelerator and the moment the truck accelerates. I have read it is just something you get used to and i have tried. I realized how dangerous it really is while visiting my in-laws last month. The street leaving their community exits on to a 45 mph road where the intersection is on a blind curb and overgrown.several times during my visit i would press the accelerator and during the full second delay, a car would come into my line of sight. I would immediately have to go into evasive maneuvers to avoid a collision.while overgrown blind intersections aren't the norm, they do exit and the delay in acceleration endangers occupants in my vehicle as well as other drivers.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the diesel exhaust fluid warning light and a warning message advising the contact to see the dealer illuminated. After letting up on the accelerator for a moment, then attempting to accelerate, there is no throttle response for 1-2 seconds.in conditions such as changing lanes into faster traffic, or pulling out into traffic from a slow roll, the vehicle decelerates or fails to accelerate, causing a hazard to oncoming traffic.this issue is easily demonstrated while driving by momentarily removing your foot from the accelerator pedal, then immediately attempting rapid acceleration as if pulling into a faster moving lane of traffic.this "dead pedal" behavior has been well documented by numerous owners of late model ram 2500/3500 with cummins diesel engines.

When pushing the gas pedal all the way to the floor in order to make an emergency maneuver, there is an incredible lag before the turbo spools.

The vehicle has serious issues with it's emissions system. First the egr was replaced at a dealership for $2,000 and they must not have reprogrammed the computer because after the installation the entire exhaust system failed and it went into limp mode at 10 mph and now it is another $7,000 repair. Dodge should be recalling this truck for emissions system problems since it's apparently a known issue.

Vehicle has high delay time when accelerating to full throttle. There is a 2-4 second delay when depressing the pedal to full throttle before the engine responds. This is a major safety concern when entering an intersection or merging into high speed traffic. I feel as though this much lag time is excessive and needs to be addressed as it is a matter of time before this results in an accident.

Started smelling fuel in the cab followed by fuel leaking while driving. Vehicleis smoking from the amount of fuel that is leaking. The entire under carriage is covered in fuel. This is due to a faulty injector line and # 6 injector tube. This could potentially cause a fire and death.

When i start from a dead stop or when pulling out in traffic and have to let off the accelerator and then immediately accelerate again. The engine will stall almost to the point that the truck stops. It has stalled to the point that on coming traffic has had to stop or hit me.i have taken it to the dealership, they kept it several days. And they said the engineers at chrysler said nothing is wrong with it. But the service tech rode around town with me wanting to see what was going on. It done it every time, he told me that he had never seen or heard of that. And that the stall was extremely dangerous and he couldn't see why the engineers atchrysler wouldn't try to at leastcome down and take a look for themselves. He said that the problem would get someone hurt or even killed. I went as far as to talk to a cummings specialist with cummings and he told me the computer in the truck was bad, and if they would replace it, that the problem would go away. I talked to the service dept at the dealership and told them. They relayed the info to their engineers and they said if i wanted to buy a new computer for my truck they would sale me one. But they could not find any reason to replace it and that the stall was a bogus claim and if i didn't like the way my truck acted , then i needed to buy another one. Really pissed me off. So i did go and pick another truck because of this. And when it came down to the final price, the dealership was going to charge me $3000 for a new computer. They said it would need to be replaced. So a truck with less than 10k on it and a full warranty means nothing to them. So i still have the truck and it still has the same stall and it has almost cause me to get hit at least 5-6 times a week. It has gotten to the point that i anticipate it and can keep out of traffic. Most of the time.

While accelerating from a stop or driving at slower speeds, releasing and then re applying the accelerator, there is a few second delay before the engine will respond. Its not usually a big deal but if there comes a time when quick thinking and a heavy foot can get you out of a bind, it wont happen. The "dead pedal" delay is ugly and has potential to cause problems for drivers.

Gas vaclight comes on it is not the gas cap and stays on

Drove for about 17 miles and parked at a store.within 5 minutes of parking the truck, white smoke could be seen coming from the hood on the passenger side.as i approached the truck flames came out from under the hood in the same area.grabbed a fire extinguisher and returned within one minute to find entire engine compartment in flames.unable to open the hood so the fire extinguisher was not much good.fire department arrived within 5 minutes but it was too late.insurance company took possession of the truck and totaled it.unknown if it was ever determined what caused the fire.updated 7/26/18

The contact received a notice for nhtsa campaign number: 14v635000 (engine and engine cooling, fuel system, diesel); however, the parts needed for repair were unavailable. While waiting at a traffic light, fuel fumes emitted into the vehicle. The failure recurred intermittently. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500.the contact stated that while driving at 68 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact also mentioned that the def warning light illuminated and chimes sounded throughout the vehicle.the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the def injectors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 9,775 and the current mileage was 9,820.

The truck is a cng model and the cng regulator has failed. The truck will not run on cng without replacing the $1800 part. The regulator emits the natural gas into open air that can be smelled in the cab.

When i accelerate there is a lag. This is from a stop or while applying the accelerator, and pushing it more to pass or merge. Also this lag at any speed seems to make the truck lunge, and it feels like it may be shifting wrong.

When accelerating from stop, or from low speeds, the vehicle has a 4-5 second delay before the turbo spools up. Feels like a dead pedal when merging into traffic.

Turnig left onto dixie hwy from a parking lot and hit the gas pedal and it took about two seconds for the truck to move, its happened many time in the few mile that i have .

When accelerating then letting off accelerator for a brief moment then trying to re-accelerate there is no response / dead pedal delay for 2 seconds then the truck will accelerate. Very dangerous in traffic situations. Dealer is aware of problem and can duplicate all the time. No solution at this time.

When accelerating from a dead stop there is about a 3-5 second lag before i gain any speed. This is very dangerous as i have to plan ahead before i drive. If i make a mistake it could cause a severe accident.

Vehicle has an accelerator lag when pushing down fast on the throttle. In circumstances where you need the vehicle to respond quickly in order to avoid another vehicle the accelerator lags for 1 to 3 seconds before responding. This occurred while in very slow motion crossing a city street. Was turning across tracfic where vehicles were coming over a hill.

There was no accident thankfully. I took my truck to a dealership because it was shifting hard. I took it in twice and both times the dealerships wouldn't even look at it. They pluged it in to their computers and told me it needed an update. Finally one day i raised cane about it and they kept it and found that the torque converter was bad. They replaced it and the pump in the transmission. That took two weeks. I drove it 5 days after that and the truck got stuck in first gear and then natural and would not move. I took it back and they replaced the pump again. They test drove it and it threw a bearing in the transmission. Now they have had it for a month and it is still not fixed and they refuse to put a new transmission in it. I only have 27000 mile on it now. It is a new 70,000$ truck with a half way rebuilt transmission.and i still do not have my truck.

There are bolts on the manifold that keep breaking. I have gone into the shop 3 times for call back issues. Each time they check my manifold, i have bolts that are broken. 1.5 years ago i replaced 2 bolts. In may of 2018 i replaced 2 bolts. In july of 2018 i replaced 7 bolts. The dealer says they replace bolts onthe dodge, every week. They call it a dodge thing. They say it is from the torque, when it heats up. They are breaking while i am driving.

I have a 2014 ram 2500, the truck has a vibration between 68mph-80mph. The dealer said i had a bad universal joint in the driveshaft. Replaced driveshaft still vibrates, mother said it's tires. Replaced tires and wheels and it still vibrates. Itook it in again and they couldn't find anything wrong. I asked the dealer to pull the rear differential cover to make sure everything was within specs and they refused to do it under warranty and wants to charge me. There are many others having this same problem, you can feel the vibration in the floor, you can see the passenger seat shake, and see bottle of water shake in the center console. I will be making another appointment for this issue. This issueoccurs at highway speed.

I have had several incidents this year of the transmission lever being stuck in park. This is with engine on, brake pedal depressed, and emergency brake released. You could not move the lever at all you were stuck, after 30-60 sec, and repeated attempts to move the lever, iteventually moved to drive. This was reported to the local dodge ram dealer lone star doge 1309 s. Pacific st.in mineolia tx this year, who claims not to be able to reproduce the problem. No paperwork was even written up on the incident.

Dead peddle issues

2014 ram 2500 4x4 cummins diesel 68rfe auto trans. Significant lag in acceleration when actuating the pedal. 2+- seconds of no response before truck starts accelerating. Could be very dangerous in city driving or merging situations.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 17v562000 (engine and engine cooling) and 17v821000 (power train).

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. While the vehicle was parked, it shifted into neutral by itself. There were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (cronic chrysler dodge jeep ram, 2515 n expressway, griffin, ga 30223) where it was diagnosed that the gear shift was defective. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 65,500.

Transmission gear selector remains locked in park from 5 to >30 seconds, after starting engine and depressing brake pedal first.gear selector cannot be then moved with engine running and brake pedal depressed. Thus vehicle cannot bedriven.

2014 ram 2500 4x4 cummins diesel 68rfe auto trans. Significant lag in acceleration when actuating the pedal. 2+- seconds of no response before truck starts accelerating. Could be very dangerous in city driving or merging situations.

When driving on the road and you let off the gas pedal, then you need to accelerate to get out of the way of someone or to avoid a near accident, you press the gas pedal all the way down and there is a couple second delay to a few seconds, a lag, before the truck appears to receive the command to hurry up and go.it has caused me to almost be rear ended and be in an accident with my wife and daughter in my truck.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle shifted to fourth gear and the gear ceased with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact retrieved dtc code: p0750 (lr solenoid circuit fault). The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 57,325.

T79 brake transmission shift interlock. My understanding is that a fix for this locking pin has not been created. So this will cause it to possibly shift out of park with out warning.so the part has not broken yet with 91k plus on it. Which is not good for sure because it could break at any given time and i pull a lot of trailers.also trying to sell my truck have lost several sells due to it. Plus even tried to sell and can not trade it in even.so cant get out from under the truck.

On december 21st, 2018 i took my truck to a car wash.following the initial cleaning the attendant placed the truck in neutral, exited the truck, engaged the track mechanism and walked back to the next truck in line. I was in the glassed in area watching.without warning the truck went to full throttle racing through the car wash tunnel and hitting a toyota van waiting to be moved to the next cleaning point.i watched as the attendant tried to race down the tunnel after the truck.just as the truck struck the van he entered and put the truck in park.the engine slowed from full throttle to what appeared to be normal. I filed a complaint with chrysler.they had a third party run a diagnostic program on my truck.they sent the information to chrysler engineers. I received a phone call telling me chrysler was not responsible for the incident. I have written them again telling them i thought their investigation was incomplete since they spoke to no one on staff at the car wash or review the video of the event.they implied the problem was caused by after market mats.since i was present and observed the incident, i am not satisfied with that explanation and have asked them to state to me in writing my truck is safe to drive.i do not anticipate that happening as i believe they are playing a classic game of cya.there is a video of the event as it happened. *dt *dt

Transmission 68rfe loses power due to the accumulator retention plates screws becoming loose, falling into the oil pan which results in the accumulator retention plate to deform and the pistons to dislodge resulting in immediate power loss. This occurred while driving in traffic at 50 mph requiring me to take evasive action to avoid collisions with other commuters.

Vehicle has 57k miles and transmission achieved complete failure.traveling at about 35mph, going straight in city traffic and mil light came on, initial code read showed 3 faults in transmission.specific diagnosis was grim and final diagnosis by transmission clinic validated total transmission failure. This vehicle was purchased new on july 14 2014 and has been meticulously maintained per owners manual during warranty period.internet research found numerous articles about the 68rfe transmission having a poorly designed valve body that allows highpressure fluid to be routed to multiple clutches simultaneously resulting in catastrophicfailure that i experienced.i have no doubt that based on this generation of 68rfe transmission, that ram was fully aware of potential defects/failure yet has taken no action to initiate inspections and/or repairs and request that the nhtsa initiate contact with ram and discuss this matter.repairs are in progress at " transmission clinic "in colorado springs, colorado 3875 interpark dr, 719-471-0777 with an estimated cost of $4500.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact stated that the gear shifter was able to move without the key being inserted in the ignition or the brake pedal being depressed. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v821000 (power train); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. When pulling a travel trailer going up or down a steep grade with the vehicle in tow hall the transmission will hang up in any given gear forcing you to apply the break and shift the vehicle into neutral then back into drive this has been reported to lone star doge 1309 s. Pacific mineola tx.the dealership saidno codes were found so nothing was wrong. I have had this happen several times and am worried about driving the truck now. I have taken the truck into the dealer multiple times for this issueand it still has not been repaired. I take it inone time and they tell me it is fixed after they work on itit is not fixed and i take it in again and they say it is the egr valve so i have that fixed and it is still doing the same thingso i bring it in again and they say it is something else and i would need to pay for repairs again.this should have been covered under the warranty but they say this needs to be fixed first before the warranty work can be done why cant they just fix the warranty work instead of find things that "have to be fixed before that work can be done" with no relation to the transmisssion.

While towing approximately 11000 lbs, the vehicle began bucking aggressively while in 4th and 5th gear.we were towing three horses and had to slow the vehicle and downshift into third gear to get the bucking to stop.also, the vehicle willnot up-shift after utilizing the transmission braking feature when descending a grade while towing.you have to manually disable the tow haul mode and wait for transmission to shift.chrysler is aware of the problem, has had many customer complaints, and has no fix at this time other than tow in third gear.beware when towing livestock or towing on slippery roads, this transmission bucking problem is severe enough to cause injury to your animals or cause you to lose control of your vehicle.it feels like the transmission slips in and out of gear.this problem is well documented and and acknowledged by the dealer and chrysler.

Remedy for t79 recall continues to not be available.notified of this recall december 20th 2017.recall not fixed in a timely manner.

Please refer to tracking number 11348377, you assigned that to my original complaint with no feedback or updates.now you have issued recall number 20v043000 which addresses the exact same problem in my initial complaint/concern.the real problem that ram wont tell you is that when the seperator plate in valve body fails, the hydraulic pressure goes places its not supposed to causing accumulator pistons to activate at wrong times causing catastrophic failure as i experienced while driving at only 57k miles.as i previously stated in original complaint, this faulty plate in valve body has existed for many years with numerous costs from many customers. It is my opinion that i highly recommend you folks engage with ram and justify extending this recall to at least the 2014 model year with repair cost reimbursed to original owners.this failure lead to a cost of $4700 including warranty that i should not have had to pay had ram been more consumer minded all these years.perhaps not enough people have complained about this particular problem but this definitely needs more attention applicable back to the 2014 model year if not earlier.thank you

The rear differential locked up while towing our rv, which caused us to jackknife and subsequently flipping our rv. The rv is a total loss and the truck has significant damage. There was a loud pop or bang and then maybe a second or so before the rear end seized. The truck shut down during this which left us with no brakes for the rv and the truck almost flipped with rv. The mechanic at the service center showed us the spider gear shaft in the differential, which had broken loose somehow and jammed against the driveshaft gear, thereby locking the differential and powertrain.this seems to be a common problem with ram trucks as the investigations have been going on for years. We were lucky enough to have just exited the freeway before this happened. If this had happened on the freeway, my wife and myself could have been killed and any number of drivers that were around us. The freeway we had just exited was pretty busy with semi's and cars alike.this kind of catastrophic failure on a new truck with only 4700 or so miles is unacceptable and needs to be addressed.

The contact took the vehicle to vaughn motors (318-346-6367, located at 1102 nw main st, bunkie, la 71322) where it was diagnosed that the bracket fractured that held the frame in the transmission on the front passenger wheel. The technician stated that the frame needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,500. *as

When accelerating then letting off accelerator for a brief moment then trying to re-accelerate there is no response / dead pedal delay for 2 seconds then the truck will accelerate. Very dangerous in traffic situations. Dealer is aware of problem and can duplicate all the time. No solution at this time.

When 4x4 service is required the trucks drive system will rattle very loud forcing the truck to come to a complete stop.the truck must be shut off and restartedthis will happen every 1000 miles until service is performed. This happened about 4000 miles before my 60,000 mile service on the interstate pulling a fifth wheel and then again 3000 miles before required service. This happened again at 76,000 miles on the interstate single lane no shoulder in the mountains of utah.this is very dangerous. I get a reminder message for required service, but the 4x4 service reminder is unacceptable.

When i accelerate there is a lag. This is from a stop or while applying the accelerator, and pushing it more to pass or merge. Also this lag at any speed seems to make the truck lunge, and it feels like it may be shifting wrong.

I bought a 2014 ram 2500 in november of 2014 when i went to pick up the truck there was a 2 day delay because of a broken lock on the ram box a few weeks later after getting lots of rain inside the ram box it was in the repair shop to get one side adjusted and one side replaced. Next it went to an auto body shop to fix the paint after it was damaged from the repair. After the first car wash we had to have a sticker made that came off because it was not a ram part but put on by a dealer where the truck came from. A couple weeks goes by to have the cruise control button fail so back in the shop for a new switch. Just when i thought all was good. Last week i was driving at a slow rate of speed up a gravel driveway and the truck began to jump violently and made a crazy loud noise after having it towed to the dealer they found the transmission mod failed and caused first gear to blow out. It is now sitting at the dealership waiting to have a new transmission put in it at only 2000 miles. Needless to say i have no faith left in this truck!

The output shaft for transfer case has broken 2 times both with 20k miles on the truck there are numerous recalls but does not show this year and it needs fixed first time i had 18000 miles on the truck going 35 mph the 2nd time i had 40000 miles going around 25mph

I was driving and stop and a stop light. Then i started to go and had heard and felt an impact feeling with engine reving and not going anywhere. All i heard was whining. Also there was no movement in any gears. I go push car from any gear.!took to a shop and they said could be a factory defect. The spindales on transfer case and transmission output shaft wore down with rust and water. So far cost is 1900 of repairs. Need to be fixed asap

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked at a parking lot, the gear lever shifted out of park independently without warning. The contact was able to stop the vehicle once it began to roll three feet. The vehicle was taken to autonation dodge dealer, located at 1011 chatham center drive, savannah, ga 31405, where it was diagnosed that the gear lever electrical module failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed that the vehicle was not covered under the power train warranty and they will not repair the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 55,710.

I have had several incidents this year of the transmission lever being stuck at park. This is with engine on, brake pedal depressed, and emergency brake released. After 30-60 sec, and repeated attempts to gently wiggle the lever, it will eventually move to drive. Three trips were taken to the local dodge ram dealer from june to november this year, who claims not to be able to reproduce the problem.

This is third time reporting/asking for assistance...... Please reference to case # 11348377 from about 7 august and reference to case number 11352009 filed this month.i have received zero feedback on this matter and would like to know why ?furthermore, i have researched on the nhtsa web site for similar problems related to my 2 previous attempts to reach you.from 2014 - 2018 model year, there were numerous complaints filed with nhtsa regarding premature transmission failure on ram 2500/3500 trucks with the 68rfe transmission.and 3-4 months ago, a recall was issued ....20v043000 addressing the same problems that i experienced with my truck, a 2014 ram 2500 with 68rfe.i asked for support in that you engage with ram about these failures that i and other have reported on your web site. Furthermore, am hoping you folks are not gullible enough to believe ram on current recall that says transmission fluid can come out of the dipstick tube and the corrective action is to replace the seperator plate in the valve body !!! while the engine is running, oil will continue to cycle thru transmission and cooler ...... Highly unlikely it will come out of dipstick tube because the seperator plate gasket failed.what is most likely to happen is what i experienced , that when the seperator plate failed, hydraulic pressure is suddenly lost at certain vales in the valve body simultaneously routing hydraulic pressure where its not supposed to go resulting in accumulator piston failure and eventually complete valve body failure resulting in total transmission failure.please don't allow ram to " bs " you by saying oil will come out of the dipstick tube and why then i ask, per the recall letter, this has nothing to do with re-programming the pcm ! my transmission failure occured while driving at about 30 mph when without warning, threw multiple dtc's. I need help from you !!!

We have had this vehicle excellerating on its own for over two years when you let off the break after a stoplight the truck excel rate to 1500 rpm is making it very difficult to stopthis condition happens anytime of the year and all driving conditions as well does it whenever it feels like it

Truck was in minor accident, hit in rear. Usaa insurance.usaa admitted liability for claim and referred to mike's autobody in concord, ca. When the vehicle was picked up from the body shop i told mike's autobody that the brakes seemed to go to the floor and they were fine when i brought the truck in for the body work. Mike's autobody refused to look at the brake issue, stating that they did not do anything to the brake system. The next day my son was born. Going to the hospital with my wife in labor and returning with my infant son i noticed the brakes almost not functioning. We almost had an accident. The brakes continued to degrade. A local brake shop inspection report stated that the brake lines were smashed under the truck bed not accessible without removal of the truck bed. I again asked mike's to repair the issue. I demanded they repair or i would have to seek legal action if they did not take care of the safety issue the manage of mike's autobody refused and said "see you in court." dodge dealer confirmed that the brakes lines were crushed when mike's autobody. Dealer took photos of entire process removing truck bed and brake lines were crushed when mike's autobody installed the truck bed. .my request is that the nhtsa issue a citation to mike's autobody and usaa insurance for failing to address a complaint about a potentially life-threatening safety issue to motivate them to respond appropriately to serious highway safety issues in the future. Usaa representatives also did not take the issue seriously and attempted to avoid fault by stating that the brake issue may have occurred during the accident 2 years ago, in their reply to the complaint submitted to the insurance commissioner. Even if that were the case, they are liable. Evidence shows that the brakes were damaged by mike's autobody

The e-brake on this vehicle does not hold even on a slight incline.when the truck is light with interior weight the e brake will not hold, so when it is heavy with equipment it is even worse.this is a hazard and can cause a serious accident. We have had this looked at several times by our ram promaster diesel mechanic and was told it was a "poor design" and there is nothing we can do.this issue has been happening since we purchased this truck new.

The integrated brake control system does not apply enough breaking power to the trailer. I have tried setting the gain from 0 to 10. I have used the manual trailer break control and had the same results.i can hear the trailer breaks engage at slow speed but this does not apply enough braking power. The trailer breaks have been checked and are good. The trailer has also been connected to another vehicle and the brakes worked as designed.

It goes back in mon. 2-16-15 for yet another round of repairs.

Factory installed trailer brake controller on the highest gain setting only slows truck and trailer minimally. After market brake controllers do a much better job.

Loss of power steering and very little braking power. Extremely dangerous. Calling dealership when they open and getting it towed in for warranty service asap. Too many problems and recalls on this truck!!!!

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. I have a 2014 dodge ram2500 truck, there was a safety recall on the welding on the front suspension track bar frame bracket that was improperly welded during the manufacturing process. The fix was to have a bracket placed with one 60-70mm long m10 bolt with 1.5 pitch threads, one m10x1.5 pitch thread nut, three m10 flat washersi brought my truck in because it start popping every time in turned either right or lefti was told that the recall fix had expired there no warranty on this to fix it now. So i'm confused it a safety issue and not covered under the recall?? because the recall fix has no warranty the warranty is only for 2 years.so i bought a truck new with defects and it my problem that we're not known at the time from the manufacture. Not sure how this is rightor fair to the customer. It a safety issue not cosmetic. My truck only has 80.000 and it a diesel should last a long time. Please help thank you

I noticed my steering wheel was off center.also the electronic stability control systemwas going off repeatedly.i took it to a dealership for inspection and they found no "codes" in the computer and could not get the esc to go off while driving.they neglected to notice my steering was off center.they said nothing was wrong with the vehicle and to just turn off the esc and if it went off again to stop and turn the truck on and off again.i had the wheels aligned thinking this was the problem.the truck seemed sensitive while driving over bumps in the road but i didn't realize the issue.a few days later while driving on the interstate at 70 mph the truck began to shake violently and would not stop until i reduced the speed to 20 mph.it was extremely dangerous and hard to drive or steer while it was shaking.it did this again 3 more times.i kept the speed at 55-60 mph and was able to get the vehicle home without incident.i took it in to the dealer the next morning and they drove it barely a mile and the steering almost completely failed.i could have had total steering failure and lost control of the vehicle.my truck has approximately 64,000 miles it is 3 years old and it has never been wrecked.

Loss of power steering and very little braking power. Extremely dangerous. Calling dealership when they open and getting it towed in for warranty service asap. Too many problems and recalls on this truck!!!!

While driving down the road, when the road curved, i attempted to tun the steering wheel, i got no responsefrom the wheels. I went off the road and in to the ditch.once in the ditch, i turned the steering wheel to see if the wheels would turn, the wheels would not turn.looking under the front of the truck the steering drag ink had broke at the adjusting sleeve.looking at the drag link it has broken in half for no reason, and one of the jam nuts is loose. Ram is not offering any assistance to me to cover the repairs or damages to the truck.

My ram 2500 truck is in need of repair under the r46 recall. On 8/4/2021 the dealership inspected my truck and claimed they had ordered parts and the repair will not be completed until june 2022. The recall bulletin states that a failure of the track bar frame bracket can cause a sudden crash without warning. There is a frequent popping or "clunk" sound coming from under the truck when turning and when going over bumps. This is my daily driving vehicle. I do not think it is safe to drive this truck for another 25,000-30,000 miles while waiting for these parts. This truck has been in the same dealer service center at least three times since 2015 for recall repairs and each time they have failed to address the r46 recall.

In the 2014 ram 2500 the steering drag link nut that adjust the steering wheel comes loose and will over time cause the steering wheel to loose its position from center. The steering link is badly designed and allows for the steering to go off center causing the truck to turn very hard right, to compensate the steering wheel needs to be held in the 10-11 o'clock position to drive the vehicle straight. The steering and alignment can straighten the wheel, but over time the lock nuts come loose and the truck will turn hard right. The dealerships do not know how to fix t the problem after several service appointments and ram customer care doesn't know about this problem and are non responsive to the issue. This problem has been going on for ~10k miles.

I've had the drag link recall done on my truck at the dealership and i didn't have any idea what they did to fix it till i started seeing posts online about welding the adjusting link on it. Well my truck is dragging to the right and needs an alignment, and i know if i take it somewhere, they'll have to cut that weld to properly do the alignment, and i don't want to do that. I would like to see the entire drag link replaced so nothing has to be welded together and keep me from getting it aligned.

Steering rod adjusting nuts continue to come loose has been to the dealer three times and going back to the dealer next week for the same problem this issuestarted in may and has not been resolved before the third visit i contacted chrysler and received a case number was told to take it to the dealership and the dealership kept the vehicle all day told me they realigned the front and tightened up theadjustment nuts should be good to go; that was 7 weeks ago noticed that thesteering was getting loose again took it to the dealer today was told to come back on monday so they can look at it again; i told them there must be an issue with that rod or adjustment nut for this to keep happening and talked to the general manager he agrees there must be an issue; chrysler and the dealership is aware of this problem and they should find a solution and fix it orconsider a recall this is a dangerous and safety issue this truck only has 15580 miles on it. This safety issue was firstnoticed when the steering wheel was off center the truck had 12320 miles on it at this time; one another note i had made a complaint about the front tires wearing on the edges and was told that these trucks are just hard on tires which now i believe is a mechanical issue partly by the steering and front end; if this issue is not corrected i'm considering a lemon law attorney has my next step, but due to this being what i consider a safety issue nhtsa should be nofied before someone has aserious accident

Fca has issued ram recall v06.then they tell us that there is not a fix to the recall.so what good does it do to issue a recall if the issue can't be fixed.someone needs to pressure fca to issue the fix.i talked to three ram dealers and they all say that yes, there is a recall v06 but they do not have a fix for it yet and they can only wait for fca to issue a fix to them.seriously...it does no good to issue a recall if the vehicle can't be recalled and fixed.

Ram had previously issued a recall to weld thedrag link component of the steering system.ram called this recall number v06 and my truck has been completed.however, this recall requires a weld to the adjusting sleeve of the drag link, however, with this weld, as the drag link goes thru normal wear, you cannot complete a full wheel alignment because its welded.without a complete alignment, tires will still wear prematurely and need to be replaced.just replaced mine to the cost of $875 and am not happy about it.recall was completed on 6 may 2019 and had to replace my tires a year later.i fully expect thenhtsa re-engage with ram and this needs to corrected.ram needs to re-engineer a fix and reimburse those customers who had to get new tires.am quite sure that ram has had numerous complaints about this and has not announced anything yet.at the time of recall, had 48110 miles, now i have 56450 on 23 june 2020 with an increase of only 8000 miles in 13 months and needed tires.

Your recall remedy for 19v-021 is unacceptable.the solution of welding the drag link adjuster nuts to the sleeve, permanently renders the vehicle from being properly aligned forever.the only way around this is to break the welds, adjust the steering sleeve and then welding the nuts again.this is an unacceptable solution as most alignment shops do not have welding equipment to do this, thus potentially placing the vehicle occupants in danger again.your agreed solution does absolutely nothing to address permanent fix and was nothing more than a way to mitigate cost for fca.this permanent fix needs to be installation of the redesigned part or reimbursement for the purchase/installation of an aftermarket part that will not suffer the same potential failure as the part under recall.

Driving on idaho highway 21, speed limit is 45 with slower speeds required around corners due to the windy road.i was traveling south at approx mile post 26 about to enter a sharp right hand corner and suddenly the steering wheel was completely loose and rotated without making any changes in the truck direction.once a realized i could not turn i quickly slammed on the brakes and came to a stop on the opposite shoulder.i basically crossed the oncoming traffic lane and stopped just before exiting the roadway.i was very lucky this corner had a small turnout as most of the corners do not.once the vehicle stopped i shut off the engine.i immediately noticed the steering wheel was free spinning with an obvious mechanical failure.i restarted the engine with the same symptoms.i was able to move the truck slowly out of oncoming traffic and again shut the engine off.the front tires were aslight left angle and would not turn when the steering wheel was turned.once again, the steering wheel is free spinning like it has no mechanical connection to the actual steering linkage.i consider this a huge safety issue and feel very fortunate no one was in the oncoming lanes and also there was a small turnout so the truck did not exit the roadway and drop the approx 20 feet into the creek below.truck has been towed to the dealer in boise idaho.(larry miller dodge)it is sunday so i will find out tomorrow what went wrong...updated 08/11/14 updated 08/25/14 updated 09/2/2014updated 05/17/2017

Our 2014 dodge ram 2500 was turned in on 8/10/16 to our local dealership for repair work on the safety recall r46.after finding two cracks on the track bar brackets after initial inspection, our local dealership did not follow the proper recall instructions for repair work by failing to dispatch chrysler's welding team to their dealership first and instead used non-certified chrysler welders to make the recall repairs to our vehicle instead. Our local dealership initially asked us to sign a waiver releasing them of any wrong doing in order to get our vehicle back sooner (we declined). Once the chrysler welding team was notified and become involved with the local dealerships error they deemed the other non chrysler certified welders work unsatisfactory and therefore they would not stand behind the work that was handled by the local dealership. The local dealership admitted to their error and as a result were told to start over and replace the entire frame to our vehicle at the local dealerships expense before moving forward. To date, our vehicle has been in their possession for over 70 days and outside from them giving us two different loaner vehicles and the complete run around - we still have not received any documentation, official paperwork, or details with explanation of the exact repairs or work the dealership/corporate chrysler has done or showing what changes have been made to our vehicle despite our repeated requests, nor if our vehicle will be deemed safe again or when we'd get it back.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. While driving 75 mph and making a right turn, there was a loud noise under the vehicle. The contact coasted over to the side of the road and noticed that the front bracket detached from the frame, which prevented the tires from turning left or right. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v541000 (steering), 15v4060000 (air bags, seat belts), and 15v459000 (air bags). The parts needed for the repair were not available. I have contacted the dallas dodge dealer on 3 occasions to have the r46/nhtsa 15v-541 safety recall corrected and they continue to state they have no estimation of when they will have the parts to correct this hazard.i use my truck to haul an rv and i am concerned that this part could fail during towing.this issue is causing me to not use my truck for its intended purpose.

Truck bed shakes violently from side to side at speeds greater than 60mph. I've taken vehicle to dealership and they're saying it's working as designed. The cab shakes violently due to the bed shacking. I've spent money getting alignments and tire balancing over and over again and the problem still persists. There's no reason a truck should be shaking on the freeway.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500 diesel. The contact discovered that the front passenger side shock absorber tower was not fully welded. The failure caused the alignment to shift and wear out both passenger side tires prematurely. The weld was discovered to be fractured when the vehicle was taken to desert sun espanola (517 n riverside dr, santa cruz, nm 87567, (505) 747-8100). The dealer stated that there was no recall on the vehicle and they could not touch or repair the vehicle despite it having bumper to bumper warranty coverage. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that he would repair the vehicle himself. The manufacturer stated that they could not assist and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was 70,000. The vin was unknown.*dt

While driving my vehicle down the highway i had a bump/pot hole and started getting what is described as death wobble in the front end. I have had the recall done on some steering components. Not sure what they were. This is happened to me at least three times in the last month. I took it to a repair shop they looked at the front end/steering components and says they cannot find anything wrong.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. While driving at various speeds with the cruise control activated, the vehicle accelerated independently when the brake pedal was depressed to deactivate the cruise control. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the brake pedal switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, the contact stated that a load noise was present coming from the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the track arm assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 18,000.

Bought a new ram 2500 4x4. After i bought the truck i notice the truck leaned to the right. Took it back to the dealership 7 different times. Truck is still not fixed and the dealer said the that is normal. That is [xxx]. Pay $50000.00 for a truck and no one will fix the problem. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Tire pressure monitoring system light keeps going off for the right rear wheel will keep showing no air pressure. This is a intermittent problem.it has been in the dealership now close to 10 days in the last 7 months and the problem has been going on a year now. It started happening after a recall onot the truck was performed.the ball jointso on the truck was replaced about a year ago and in september when i took it to the dealership for work in told them they were bad and check it out.and nothing was done. It is at the dealership as i write this and i let them know thethat were bad againthere is clunking when you jack the truck up and push on the tire.also vibration when driven. Both of these problems are a safety issues. These problems have been going on for way to long and life of the ball joint should be longer then 4-5 months.

While traveling on milled pavement at 60mph the truck hit a bump and began to 'death wobble' causing the front axle to make contact with multiple suspension parts. The truck continued to wobble violently as i slowed, once i hit 30mph the truck stopped wobbling.the truck ever since has had a highway speed vibration that shakes the whole cab and seats.i photographed areas of contact 1. Front differential cover made contact with the track bar mount. 2. Trackbar on passenger side made contact with spring holder. 3 passenger side trailing arm made contact with the frame.dealership immediately stated there was no defect with the truck, and reluctantly changed the steering stabilizer.the truck continues to vibrate and after a swap of all four firestone tires under warranty the vehicle still has a vibration that ram refuses now to work on.i have inspected the driveshafts myself and videoed what appears to be about 1/8'' runout and the dealership stated if i attempted to have the driveshaft inspected by a 3rd party my warranty will be voided.the vehicle has been in the shop about 48 days since august and has not been fixed.

Weld failed holding the front right spring tower bracket to frame rail

Alignment recall performed on time, but damage done to front right tire from the recall.alignment couldn't be done by a shop and took it to a dealer who re-did the work and charged $2000.search indicates that chrysler ram company did a temporary fix in the recall which caused the problem.i should get a refund for the work they had to do to fix the original recall ($2000)*dt*dt*dtconsumer stated recall was corrected on time.*dt

I noticed that when steering was turned hard left or right and you moved forward, there was a clunk sound. I took into dealer, they found nothing, looking at steering rack in pinion. I noticed cracks in the welds on fram where the control arms are. That very next businessday, i received recall for cracked weld on track barbracket, i have other areasthat have cracked welds. I am a tool and die maker, i have been trying to get ram to take the truck to see the problem, but have been gettingrun around. I feel this is a serious safety issue that could cause loss if life. My power wagon was one of the first built, i ordered it.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact received a manufacturer recall notice for the sway/track bar. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the lock nut was loosely connected. As a result, the bolt was tightened and the sway/track bar was replaced. Weeks later, the contact noticed that the steering wheel was not properly aligned and there was an extremely strong vibration. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the tires were inspected and the sway/track bar was replaced a second time. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The nhtsa campaign number was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 24,000.

The cruise control on the vehicle doest work. It seems to be something wrong with the system, because it starts to somewhat work when i reboot the system to factory settings. After a while, the system just stops working. I guess that this is something a lot of people go through, since there's tons of youtube videos about people trying to fix it.

I bought a new 2014 dodge ram 2500 (diesel) in june 2014. After a short time of having my vehicle, i noticed it leaned to the left side. I measured the wheelbase of my vehicle and found the right side was one inch higher than the left side. When looking at my vehicle on level ground, it appears there is a flat tire when if fact there is not. I checked the tire pressure to ensure it was even on all tires and it was. I reported the problem to dch jeep dodge chrysler of temecula where i bought the vehicle. They inspected the vehicle and stated the vehicle does in fact lean, but it only leans 3/4 of an inch on the left side and it fell within their guidelines of a max lean of 3/4. I told them it was not 3/4 of an inch and was one inch. Frustrated with this dealership, i took my vehicle to another dealership who inspected the vehicle and they confirmed my vehicle leans on the left side one inch. Dodge will not fix this problem for me or explain to me the reason my vehicle leans. My vehicle does not appear safe to drive nor do i feel safe driving it with my family because it leans so much and it seems as if my vehicle will crash.

The failure mileage was 11,000.

My 2014 ram 2500 shakes between 64mph and 76mph violently.ram knows there is a problem but calls it a characteristic of a hd truck.i am in the tire business and have tried everything to rectify it.i know at least three chrysler service managers who are being told to act like its normal.i am fed up with car manufacturers taking advantage of people.proof is below...http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/2013-general-discussion/1396841-highway-vibration-if-you-have-post-your-year-truck-here-71.html#post20691585

On 9-4-18 took my ram 2500 in to the chrysler dealership in lowell, michigan for the recall r46/nhtsa 15v-541.they indicated they did not have the parts to do the recall and would call when they were available.i checked with the dealership again on 10-4-18 and they said parts are still not available and they did not know when they would be available.

Bad vibrations at highway speeds. Dealer has replaced tires, did not fix. Dealership changed track bar, did not fix the issue.i also paid for alignment before track bar install. Seems to be a reoccurring problem with ram trucks, please help make this right. 73000 miles

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle began to wobble. Upon further inspection, the front driver side wheel looked as though it were about to detach from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the bearings and hub assemblies failed and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,000.

Recall ram # r46 / nhtsa 15v-541 service originally performed in 2015.after service loud popping noise came from front end when turning and hitting a bump.second service in may 2017 eliminated noises.found anti-sway bar not connected in feb 2018.

The vehicle shakes at highway speeds . I just replaces all 4 tires .

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. While driving approximately 55 mph, the front end of the vehicle suddenly experienced severe vibrations. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the front passenger side wheel bearing assembly failed. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed or repaired. Tire sensor system goes off all the time and then resets after awhile. No certain speed or time.

The tire pressure sensor will not go off and keeps blinking "low tire pressure.i have made seven attempts to get this resolved. I was told by the dealer i bought the truck from last night that there is no more he can do. They over inflated the tires to 80 psi to make the sensor go off but the tires are only rated for 65psi max. This over inflation had voided the tire warranty from the tire manufacturer. This could also result in a tire blow out and accident which could cause death to me, my family or passengers. I need to know how to get this problem resolved before anyone gets hut or killed.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. The contact stated that the rear tires had a required pressure of 80 psi, and the front tires required a pressure of 65 psi designed specifically for hauling. However, the vehicle was not used for hauling at all times.the contact stated that when the vehicle was not used for hauling, the over inflated tires bounce, causing the tire monitoring system to illuminate.the manufacturer advised that the tire pressure was unable to be altered since that was how the vehicle was designed. Therefore, the dealer was unable to correct the tire pressures. The failure mileage was 1,000. The vin was not available. ## vin failed ## dodge ram 25000 ##

Tire pressure monitoring system & firestone transforce ht 275/70r18 tiresi have had numerous problems with my tire pressure monitoring system and tires.my testing is finding a tire pressure variance of up to 15 psi between hot and cold pressures.originally my truck would give me a tpm warning message with 3 psi variance.now it has been reprogrammed by chrysler so it requires a 15 psi variance.this concerns me as such a pressure variance places my rear tires at 94 psi.i am very concerned that these tires will break down and we will see a repeat of the 1980's firestone tire problems.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. While having the tires replaced by an independent mechanic, the contact was informed that the valve stems were fractured. As a result, the valve stems needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated that if the valve stems were changed, the failure would still recur. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was informed that the tires were functioning as designed. The failure mileage was 27,000.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact stated that while making a turn, an abnormal sound was heard from the passenger side tire and the front wheels seized. The anti-lock brake system and the traction control warning lights illuminated. The 'service anti-lock brakes' warning message displayed. The contact mentioned that the tire on the front passenger side was completely ripped off due to the failure. The contact coasted to the road. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The front passenger tire was replaced by the contact and was taken to the dealer where the cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 23,000.

Factory trailer brake controller systemsince 2015 everytime i tow a trailer with trailer brakes, i have trailer brakes randomly connect and disconnect. The trailer lights continue to would while this is going on. I have had the wiring and trailer braking system inspected on my 32 ft enclosed trailer after it happened the first time. They cleaned up the connector and there was no issues with the system. I cleaned and inspected my connector on my truck and the tester has shown everything is powering up right when i did it. I took it to dodge town in rapid city south dakota in 2015 before i was going on a long trip. They found nothing wrong and it continues to happen every time i tow a trailer with trailer brakes.

5" uconnect radio (ra2) responsible for touch screen safety options on top of being other than for just being a "smart" radio for calls and such... When malfunctioning, it refuses to start or "boot up."it will only show a ram logo when on and driving with no operating features.while the vehicle is off, it is a parasitic battery drain. Power must be disconnected to protect the battery. Took to dealer. Was told the radio has no fix other than to replace the whole (costly) unit.i have scoured the internet forums and many have had the same issue.

The ram box cargo locking mechanisms fail as the plastic couplers shear off. The cargo doors open while driving vehicle on roadway making for an unsafe condition as you must pull off the roadway immediately to try to re-shut doors. Both lock mechanisms effected the same way.

Nhtsa vehicle safety recallsduring the following recall, dodge welded all my steering arm components together so now i cannot get an alignment done correctly or, if need be, disconnect worn out parts because they welded these parts together? i was told this and shown this by kost tire company in carbondale pa 18407. They were flabbergasted by this most absurd, stupid fix dodge had done and told me they cannot fix my truck properly?here is the following recall info.recall number15v541000recall date08/26/2015componentsteeringsummary:chrysler (fca us llc) is recalling certain model year 2014 ram 2500 trucks and 2013-2014 ram 3500 trucks and cab chassis manufactured october 9, 2012, to july 29, 2014. The affected vehicles may have inadequate welds securing the front track bar frame brackets, which may result in the bracket components separating from the frame.consequenceif the bracket components separate from the frame, the vehicle may be more difficult to steer and control, increasing the risk of a crash.what owners should dochrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and install a reinforcement bracket over the front track bar bracket. This recall began on february 24, 2016. Owners may contact chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is r46.this fix they did is affecting my ability to hold the vehicle on the road? my wife drove my truck and is very scared of running off the road now? they welded parts of my drag line and alignment bars to control the vehicle. The vehicle wanders all over the road. I can't event fix this because they welded all the streering components solid.

The problem is a drivability problem. There is a long hesitation in acceleration when you lift off of the accelerator pedal and then reapply the accelerator pedal. When this happens there is nothing you can do but wait for truck to respond. If you lift and reapply again the same situation can occur and you can find yourself in a bad situation with other vehicles because the truck wont respond to accelerator input for several seconds!

Chrysler had a recall v06 for the front axel. The recall called for welding the jamb nuts. From the day they did this i argued with them, that the front end felt off on my truck and the steering wheel no longer sat straight. They told me that one had nothing to do with the other, as it wouldn't' effect the front end that my aliment was just off. First off we rotate our tires a few times a year at good year and we always have them check the front end. It had just been done during this time period. I went back to good year after 2 weeks of getting no place with the dealer and the manufacture. Good year had to do a four wheel alignment as it was way off. And they had to break the jamb nut weld to so a complete 4 wheel alignment. So the recall is effecting the front end alignment, and now their fix is causing alignment issues and the front end isn't correct. This is a safety issue and not a proper fix to a recall. Additionally,, the new recall, once it was competed it was causing a terrible wear on my tires, which had just been rotated to the front. . this is a serious issue and chrysler not the dealer is listening or doing anything about this ineffective recall whichis causing a danger.

Takata recall. I bought this truck from dealer , in 3miles i smelt exhaust smoke leak to inside of my car, later in about week i smelt again , then later again so i went to dealer to visit about it. They are checked and said no problems. Later on i had the same smell in my cab once in a wile so i had to open windows , i took it to sioux falls dealership they replace turbo at 9455ml saying that this was a problem. Later on 4-27-15 i had a same problem, took it to dealer again they said no leaks found ,7-16-15 they coudnt fix it again. 9-02-15 they checked at the shop and didn't fit the problem!i talked to service manager mike lavin sioux falls sd about this problem many times and he said to me that he has a friend with exactly same truck even white in color that he had a same problem and ended up to trade in for new truck. This problem of heavy shot of exhaust smoke smell inside of my car repeat continually so i cant drive it much with my female and not much in cold days since i need to open windows ones in a vile but it cold out and lots of times windows frozen and don't opens , know it is very dangerous to breath cause health problems and makes a cancer.please please please help me, i paid over 42000 dollasrs to use this truck and i cant use it normally! lots of time i need to take my baby with me to do some work ( since i cant leave her home alone) , but i cant take her because of this exhaust smoke smell in side of cab, i don't want to kill my baby , please help me! i already reported to office of attorney general and they didn't help me at all. I have all papers from dealer and can not fix it even if this truck under warranty, they always pushing me further so my warranty will be expired and then they will charge me money to fix it.i don't know what to do anymore, i have no money for lawyers . I heard lots of people have this problems. Please help.

After starting the vehicle or while driving, the vehicle displays a check engine light, and message ( 5 mph. Max speed in 200 mi.) and starts counting down the mileage. Sometimes the message will change and display ( 5 mph max speed in 50 mi., and start counting down), even though the original message was just displaying 194 mi., until the 5 mph max speed derate would happen. The d.e.f. (diesel exhaust fluid) gauge reads empty, even though it is full. Sometimes the vehicle will display a derate message of 5 mph max speed in 200 mi. And to fill d.e.f. And count down, even though the d.e.f. Tank is full. The vehicle has been taken to two different dealers to have the issue resolved and both dealerships have replaced the d.e.f. Pump which wasn't under warranty. The issue still hasn't been resolved and is currently back at the dealership for the third time. Ram has been contacted and case has been opened about the issue. While researching the issue myself i have found a recall: 25-001-15 rev a, and rrt 15-063, which states that there was a manufacturing defect with d.e.f. Level sensor, and that the d.e.f. Pump module should be replaced. This issue can potentially be a safety risk if the vehicle would randomly just derate while driving, especially on the highway!

The truck would vibrate and shake at highway speeds over 65mph. I had the tires rotated and balanced several times and recently replaced all wheels and tires with new. The vibration persists.

Uconnect problems. I keep getting a service message 911 contact dealer because i'm not getting a single to gps and i can't use the phone through uconnect which is a big safety issue.how could a first responder find me and my family if the truck flipped in a rural area without it being able to locate us with gps and phone.uconnect also did an update which now it doesn't even work out all ! my backup camera doesn't work ( huge safety concern). I cant adjust any of my controls on the whole unit. Heat/air, radio, phone absolutely nothing.called uconnect they said take it to dealer. Now dealer says i need a new unit.i'm of course expected to pay for this, which i'm not. Everything was perfectly fine until uconnect did this update.this is unacceptable for a 35k dollar truck. Not to mention all.the other issue's i've got with it. It's a 60k dollar truck now from all the repairs i've made. Which includes 5k just in the front suspension

Rear tire pressure is set at 80 psi when driving truck with on weight in the bed winter traction is hazards and in wet weather hydroplaning a problem as tire wear and on ruff roads handling ect. On 2013 models 2500 had light and heavy load for rear tire pressure 60 light80 heavy have auto makers change back to that for safer driving.

Def system . Replaced last year under warranty and now it's happenkng again and i can not drive my vehicle . They won't cover cause warranty done but his is a continued issue rht should be covered . Many others with rams have had same issues

Vehicle phone needs service

Over the past few weeks, i have received (3) vehicle recalls from the ntsb by email. Recently, i made an appointment with the local dodge, chrysler, jeep, ram dealer in elk grove, ca, near my home. I dropped the vehicle this afternoon for tomorrow morning's appointment and i was told by the service agent that the warranty manager, leslie, said they will not repair (2) of the recalls until told to do so by chrysler. I asked what will the dealership do if they cause an accident and i was told "is nothing they can do". The recalls refused to be corrected by the dealership are as follows: 1/ #15v460, air bag safety recall; and 2/ #15v459, steering wheel wiring harness safety issue. I advised the service adviser i "will sue them and chrysler if anything happens regarding one of those two safety recalls" since they refused to correct them. I just want the recalls corrected "before" some thing bad happens and they should not be allowed to refuse. Please, i would like to be contacted regarding this incident.

Tpms system.factory set tire pressure for front is 60psi, and 80psi for the rear tires.when winter arrives i put on snow tires and decrease the psi for better and safer driving. For winter driving with snow and icy conditions i run 45 psi in the front and 50 psi in the rear. The tpms activates a 'trouble light' in the hud.i can live with the basic theory but am concerned if any tire actually lost psi (due to a tire malfunction) that i and my family could be endangered since the hud would not necessarily change.i have heard that through the ecm the system can be programed to reflect lower psi.this is an aftermarket device.some dealerships are said to reprogram the system to accept lower air pressure for a fee.this is a definite safety issue and should not cause a financial burder on the owner of the vehicle.this tpms issue effect numerous vehicles that operate in a 4 season environment.the date for "when did this happen" is adjustable as to when the owner changes over to winter tires.

I have replaced my stock radio 3 times.each replace was the same ram stock radio.i have 191,000 miles on my 2014 truck.1st radio replacement was 2/6/2017, 2nd 5/11/2018 and now it died again 3/1/2020.i have will be buying the next one this week if they have one in stock.all i am looking is for ram to buy me another stock radio..

I am having a problem with the tpms. I am constantly getting a warning that the rear tires need to be inflated to 80 psi. The door jamb and the tires specify65 psi max cold. After going on line to help with fixing the problem i found out i am not alone. Currently found over 200 complaints with the same issue. I am sure there are many more because i didn't add mine to the list. My ram is 2014 but the year doesnt seem to matter. The problems i found was between the years 2013 - 2019. All seem to be mostly 2500 and 3500. I took it to the dealer and was told so far they dont have a fix that will work. I noticed others did the same thing. All the people that let the dealer fix the problem some were putting black tape over the light and ignoring the whole system. Others were just disabled the system. This is a safety issue since it is required by law. There are no recalls so it must be okay to disable the system so that warning light wont be on all the time. Do you have any ideas?

Push rods are defective in 2014 engineexplained to me by master mechanic at dodge ram dealer [tim short dodge ]push rods were made of a softer steal where by mushroom in shape over time causeing extreme damage to the rest of the enternal parts of this 10.000 dallar engine . Maintaining regular schuled maintinance makes no differance according to master mechanic these are defected push rods in this engine for that year model dodge has since corrected the defected push rods in the later model trucks 20152016ect.dodge ram should replace engineor at aminimum replace defective parts and labor

While driving at 60 mph, the truck began shaking violently and it was extremely difficult to steer.once i reduced my speed down to about 30 mph the truck came under control again.this has now occurred on three separate occasions.i had it into a dealership the first time and they found nothing.going in to a different dealership tomorrow as there is something wrong.this is a definite safety issue.

Dead pedal after lifting off throttle completely and then reapplying throttle. Have to wait 2-3 seconds before truck does anything and its not turbo lag. I've tried rolling off the throttle and also lifting off throttle quickly and it makes no difference, there is no response at all from the truck for an unsafe amount of time. Going through intersections it can be scary at times.

On multiple occasions i have completely lost throttle response for up to 3-5 seconds.the most severe occasions are when trying to turn left across a 2 lane highway or changing lanes/merging in heavy traffic.the throttle response loss aka "dead pedal" is heavily documented in cummins forums is easily duplicated by barely touching the throttle, letting off for a split second, and then hitting the throttle again.these steps will put the truck in dead pedal/loss of acceleration for several seconds before power is applied and the truck starts accelerating.this is a major safety issue and one that i tried to ignore for the first 50,000 miles by being patient and leaving lots of room for merging/turning, but after a near miss accident that could have been fatal it needs to be reported so chrysler will fix this known issue happening with all new model 2500's. On 11/21/2015 i tried to turn left onto a 2 lane highway and was almost hit by oncoming traffic going 65 mph.this particular highway has little visibility to oncoming traffic due to a hill.i touched the throttle to turn and then hesitated for split second, backing off the throttle, and then decided it was clear and hit the throttle again but the truck was completely unresponsive for several seconds before gaining power again and accelerating.it's huge safety concern that if i hit the accelerator in my $60k truck it may not go anywhere for several seconds.

2014 ram 2500 4x4 cummins diesel 68rfe auto trans. Significant lag in acceleration when actuating the pedal. 2+- seconds of no response before truck starts accelerating. Could be very dangerous in city driving or merging situations.

My 2014 ram 2500 6.7 diesel truck has a problem with a throttle hesitation in certain situations (dead pedal) the problem is if you give it some throttle and then you let off slightly and reapply the throttle again the truck will not respond to the throttle input for a couple of seconds! this situation can be very dangerous and has put me in a bad situation several times nearly causing an accident! this needs to be addressed!

"dead pedal" issue- when you need to accelerate quickly in traffic, and you push the accelerator pedal more than about 70%, the truck just sits there... Like there is no power. It will eventually (4-6 seconds later) slowly increase speed, or if you feather the pedal, it will accelerate into traffic. This is a safety concern when pulling into traffic from a side street, or other times when entering faster moving traffic. It does not seem to be turbo lag, but rather some kind of programing in the drive train that keeps the truck from accelerating briskly when pushing on the pedal..... This happens frequently, the listed date is the last time i felt it. It has happened at least 30-40 times since i have bought the truck new in jan 2013.note: i am not talking about being able to drag race or smoke tires... I am talking about when you need to quickly pull out into traffic... Definite safety issue...

While traveling in a congested traffic area, i wanted to change lanes and when i pressed on the accelerator pedal there was no response for 2 to 3 seconds leaving me stranded in between lanes and i was almost hit from behind!this has happened several times.

Went to accelerate when the gas pedal went to the floor stuck and reached speeds 110 mph, hit the brakes thinking i hit cruise control, released brake only to see that it did not slow down, hit the brakes again and put in neutral twice, did not want to turn off key at that time being on a busy highway i-25. The second time in neutral it shut itself down because rpms were so high, finally the pedal came up on its own. It was flashing at the time throttle sensor and the red lighting bolt. I brought it in and codes came up, i was told the code came up for brakes as they said it was due to me driving with two feet, [xxx]. They released the vehicle to me saying it was safe to drive because they could not get it to happen again. So now i have to drive a brand new vehicle worrying if this is going to happen again and where it might happen, on one of the colorado passes, or in traffic.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I have a 2014 ram with the cummins diesel engine. Throttle lag on these trucks is dangerous. There is also very significant lag after the gas pedal has been released and then pressed once again.

*dt *dt

Turnig left onto dixie hwy from a parking lot and hit the gas pedal and it took about two seconds for the truck to move, its happened many time in the few mile that i have .

Vehicle consistently has no throttle response for a second or two when going from stationary to full throttle. Primarily when making a quick decision to pull out at an intersection or merge into traffic. If the accelerator is pushed then released and pushed again there is an extremely lag. This is especially dangerous due to the fact that if you are needing full throttle acceleration all of my situations have required needing it fast. The acceleration being delayed has resulted in near misses when entering an intersection as seconds of delay in response causes approaching vehicles to get closer than they ever should.

2014 ram 2500 4x4 cummins diesel 68rfe auto trans. Significant lag in acceleration when actuating the pedal. 2+- seconds of no response before truck starts accelerating. Could be very dangerous in city driving or merging situations.

We have had this vehicle excellerating on its own for over two years when you let off the break after a stoplight the truck excel rate to 1500 rpm is making it very difficult to stopthis condition happens anytime of the year and all driving conditions as well does it whenever it feels like it

Very long (2-5sec) hesitation occasionally on acceleration. Mostly occurs when leaving a stop or accelerating from very low speeds. I have had a few near misses because of this. Attempts to have the dealer remedy this issue has yielded no results.

The cruise control on the vehicle doest work. It seems to be something wrong with the system, because it starts to somewhat work when i reboot the system to factory settings. After a while, the system just stops working. I guess that this is something a lot of people go through, since there's tons of youtube videos about people trying to fix it.

The contact owns a 2014 ram 2500. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v541000 (steering). While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle experienced the death wobble and was uncontrollable. Additionally, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 35 mph. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to lone star chrysler dodge jeep ram (8811 interstate 35 access rd, san antonio, tx 78211, (210) 828-1515) who stated that the vehicle had been modified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage wasapproximately 122,500.

When pushing the gas pedal all the way to the floor in order to make an emergency maneuver, there is an incredible lag before the turbo spools.

I loweredpassenger rear window.air came in i all most lost control of my truck..passenger front seat vibe rated so bad it came lose from floor..dodge garage said this is not their problem..people need to know about this problem..

When accelerating then letting off accelerator for a brief moment then trying to re-accelerate there is no response / dead pedal delay for 2 seconds then the truck will accelerate. Very dangerous in traffic situations. Dealer is aware of problem and can duplicate all the time. No solution at this time.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500 cargo van. The contact stated that the side view mirror heated/defroster function were not functioning during icy and snowy weather. The vehicle was equipped with no side or rear windows, which the contact only had the side view mirrors to depend on when switching lanes. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 1,900.

The manufacture requires tire pressure be inflated to 80 psi in the rear tires. This makes traction and stability very hard to maneuver on snow/icy covered roads. Tire pressure is unbaled to be lowered because of tps light on dash flashing and beeping.i lost control several times a slow speeds, because of the pressure.

Tire over inflation.per manufacturer specs the require you to rum 80 psi in rear tire all of the time, even when not loaded, or tpms comes on.this has lead to wearing through tires in less than 20k of driving.ram has refused to fix the problem or even acknowledge it is one.all tire manufacturer charts say by the unloaded weight of the rear of the truck tires should be at 45 to 55 psi for proper tire ware.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge ram 2500. The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle vibrated while driving 68 to 78 mph. The vehicle was taken to the dealer numerous times for the failure; however, the dealer test drove the vehicle and was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who balanced and rotated the tires. The driveshaft was replaced, but the failure was not corrected. The approximate failure mileage was 17,000.
