Dead pedal from complete stop, dead pedal off and on the throttle. Safety hazard!!

Door locks not operating properly with key fob, door panel control or keyless touch entry mechanisms. Started as intermittent issue but is now hard failure...problem manifests with following symptom: using any lock/unlock mode only the drivers door and tailgate lock/unlock, whereas the front passenger door and two rear doors do not lock or unlock with any available mechanism...additionally, the front passenger door and two rear doors do not lock with the speed actuated locking mechanism either. This is a significant safety issue and has been brought up in several owners forums.

Recall: p65/nhtsa 14v-635 :diesel fuel heater electrical connector: received first recall in december, 2014.took truck to dealer (haddad dodge, bakersfield, ca) and was told that they did not have the parts and would call when parts were available.as of 5-12-15, no call and no repair.received another recall notice in mail 5-10-15 for same safety issue.this is listed as an "important safety recall".if this is so important, then why has 5 months gone by with no parts and now a second notice sent.it would appear that dodge corporate/dealers should be held accountable for getting the parts and making the repair.i consider 5+ months as an unreasonable amount of time.otherwise, take the red label off the front of the notice and remove the word "important"from the label.

On 05/26/2015 service light kept coming on took truck in they ran test had to order part . Had to go back in they replaced sensor-nitrogen oxide. During this visit and other visits molding kept coming apart from vehicle.

Body control module. Electrical fault doesn't allow the ability to lock the door. To lock the door you must manually lock the door. Safety issue having to manually walk around to each door to lock it in unsafe locations.

Truck has been hard to start since i bought it then it wouldn't start at all. Dealer said it was wiring harness cost was $1500 for parts and labor and that didn't fix it now they say it's the computer is fried which is going to be $2500 parts

2 months after recall was performed for the scr catalyst failure in the ram 2500 2013 truck, the def system has undergone a complete failure and no longer functions.the truck in currently in a mileage count down that can not be stopped until repaired by the dealer.the vehicle will be undrivable once the countdown reaches zero.the system underwent complete failure while driving at highway speeds in the rain.the fuse for the scr feed has been replaced twice since the issue first appeared and each time it has happened during wet conditions.no standing bodies of water were crossed and no rivers were forded.the vehicle did not have any of these problems prior to the recall and could be driven in wet weather without worry.the vehicle is now a major safety hazard and continues to have recalls made to it that have no solution.there are two outstanding recalls on the vehicle that have no presented solution or date for repair.

I just purchased this truck less than 1 week ago; brand new.i was slowly approaching an intersection (stop sign) with vehicles in front of me; waiting to turn.the truck suddenly started surging/lurching forward for a period of 5-10 seconds; nearly hitting the vehicle in front of me.i placed the truck into neutral and applied the brakes so as not to hit another car and prevent and accident.the "electronic throttle control" message came up on my dash during this time period, but soon (30 seconds) went away.i am concerned this will happen again causing an accident and place myself and others in danger.i will be visiting a dealership to get it evaluated.after an internet search, it appears this is a fairly common problem; chrysler needs to fix this problem.

On 02/19/2015 service light kept coming on they ran test on truck and had to order part. Had to go back on march 11, 2015 mileage now was 6513 they replaced coolant bottle and coolant and purge air from system.

My alternator randomly for the past couple of years randomly surges voltage and the dealership has tried contacting for the recall but told me i have to make a report for s68 campaign for alternator fix

Dead pedal issue when accelerating then momentarily letting of throttle and reapplying throttle, there's a 2-3 second delayed response. I've taken it to the dealer and they don't seem to know what's causing it.

Door locks sometimes lock when the locked button is pressed. Does not matter if it's the lock button on the truck, the auto lock once you go above 10mph, or the lock button on the remote. Since the doors do not lock, kids may be able to exit the vehicle at speed and get hurt!

Only my tailgate and driver door will lock. My doors will not lock automatically when i start to drive. When attempting to lock my doors only the tailgate and driver's door lock.

While driving the truck the main display shuts down, all the warning lights start flickering, engine starts to shut down, if you turn of truck computer will notlet it start, stranded has don't this 5 times now and dealer doesn't know how to fix problem. Very dangerous i was hauling by 5-wheel from trip could have been an major accident, no lights at night suddenly, no control.

Body mount control (bcm) . Which controls the door locks has a high rate of failure including my truck. Drivers door locks when you hit the lock on the key fob. But the passenger, and both back doors do not due to a faulty body mount control (bcm). Have seen lots of people reporting same symptoms and failures on 2013 ram trucks. Vehicle was stationary

Wipers running with key and wiper switch off. Went to go to work and walked outside to find wipers running in low. Disconnect battery to stop. Waited 5 days, as soon as i connected, they started up. Pulled fuse and they stopped, haven't used truck since.

Backup camera scrambles and goes out intermittently when backing up, and rear passenger taillight posting out in system messages on startup and stored messages but is not out.

During normal driving when turning or changing lanes and trying to accelerate rapidly to merge into moving traffic, the truck will stop responding via accelerator completely. The traction control is on, but not active during this effect. Basically anytime i accelerate rapidly from a stop the truck does not respond and leaves me dead in the water.

The esc indicator came on and won't go out

Starting at about 15,000 miles, rear main seal developed a leak. The seal was replaced, leaked again and replaced by a seal and sleeve. Seal and sleeve leaked upon installation but were coated with rtv to stop leak at about 16,800 miles.at about 17,600 miles vehicle exhibited leak again.have been informed now by ram service dealerships that the vehicle is supposed to have seepage of fluids from engine seals and are not an issue unless the fluid is pouring out on the ground and covering the vehicle. I currently use the vehicle to travel to public and private campground involving sensitive environmental areas. As explained, the vehicle is now banned from being operated in those areas due to designed leaking of fluids from the vehicle.ram customer department has been advised and am awaiting a response.

Vehicle exhibits an accelerator 'dead pedal' problem. When pulling out into traffic, or slowing then accelerating, if one lifts the throttle then reapplies the throttle quickly, the truck does not respond for several seconds.in heavy traffic, this can create (and has created) a potentially dangerous situation.this has been an ongoing problem that the dealer has been unable to resolve.

While driving i needed to merge into on coming traffic. As i accelerated i suddenly needed to let off he throttle due to conditions. When the throttle was reapplied i had a completely dead gas pedal that was not responsive. The truck remained unresponsive for a solid 2-3 seconds, then it slowly started to accelerate again. The truck never quit running and no dash lights indicated a problem during this incident. Over the last year of driving the truck it has done it numerous times and put me and my family in danger. I am also able to replicate this problem time & time again. I have been told by the dealer ship that its the nature of the beast. This seems to be a huge problem and is all over various ram forums.

Vehicle has had recall 17v-562 issued on it since september of 2017.vehicle water pump has failed.it was replaced with another defective unit as repair parts still aren't available.wondering when is a "reasonable time" to repair vehicle expired

Currently there is a recall on the vehicle for the water pump which may cause an engine fire.i have had the vehicle to the dealer in december of 2017 and was told there is no fix.fca has been notified and was to have gotten in touch with me on a date of when the parts would be available.no contact from fca has been made since december of 2017 on the part and all information available from other sources suggests the part will not be available until summer of 2018.

Got most recent recalls done. The reflashed my truck and have had nothing but problems since. Alarm was going off randomly. Back up camera was all messed up, and other electrical issues it seemed. They worked them selves out after driving a while. But the truck wouldn't regen on its own. Believe it is because if the t05 scr recall that was performed on some truck this same year and model as well as many others but not on this truck.

Note: this is with the cummins 6.7 diesel engine. If you are driving at, say, 35 mph, back off the throttle, then immediately step on the throttle, the engine will be unresponsive for 2 to 3 seconds. This can be extremely dangerous if, for example, you have started a left turn across traffic, back off the throttle, and then hit it again, as it will leave you in the middle of oncoming traffic with no forward propulsion for 2 to 3 seconds. I think it is ram's torque management trying to protect the drivetrain. I can see not giving me 100% of the power but at least give me something!this is very dangerous, and is a top of discussion on multiple internet ram/cummins forums.

Truck stalls intermittently while driving at any speed. Over the past 18 month not a fuel filter issue.

From a stop, the vehicle will not accelerate properly.when depressing the gas pedal it takes a few seconds for the vehicle to respond.when letting off the gas, the throttle does not respond for about two seconds.there is a severe response in the throttle from when depressing the gas pedal to when the vehicle actually starts to move.this has almost caused several accidents because i am trying to switch lanes or accelerate and it just sits there for a few seconds. This is going to kill people especially ones unfamiliar with driving the vehicle.this needs to be addressed immediately.this same problem exists in all ram 2500 and 3500 with the turbo diesel motor from years 2011-2016.as i have driven the vehicle for the past three years it has become increasingly worse.the delay in throttle response has gotten longer.

Dead pedal from complete stop, dead pedal off and on the throttle. Safety hazard!!

The engine has 148000 miles and has started to knock.i have taken it to 3 different mechanics and all three say it was an engineproblem. I was told by all three to replace or rebuild the engine. Two of the three mechanics said they have already rebuilt a couple of2013 or 2014 already because of a engine knock.i bought this ram with the cummings because of their durability.is it possible the cummings engine has a defect in the 4th generation. I have also read in cummins forums and ram forums about the same knocking problem. My truck started knocking while driving on the highway at 65 mph and not pulling anything. My truck is in the shop now and i dont think i should have to paybfor a engine rebuild because of a defect.

Had to replace the turbo actuator for $3549.18. This is a 2013 with ongoing recalls.i should not have to pay for a large ticket item with a truck this age.

Took my vehicle in to a scheduled appointment on 3/12/2016 at 10 am.went back to the dealer on 3/16/2016 at 11:30 am due to not getting any return phone calls from the messages i left and found that nothing had been done. These recalls could be dangerous but san antonio chrysler dodge does not think so.

My 2013 ram 2500 turbo diesel has experienced a failure of the turbo unit. Upon researching this, i found that this has been a documented problem with the cummins holset turbo. From 2007 - current this part has been failing causing the vehicle to limp home at 15mph without warning. Fortunately i was just leaving a parking lot and merging into traffic at 40mph when my vehicle began to stall, and i was able to pull of the road without incident. Why hasn't this been reported as a safety issue. I live in colorado where the speed is 75mph. What if this happened while i was on my way home via the interstate? i regularly take my vehicle in for oil & fluid changes along with the dealers 20 point inspection. No problem was ever presented to me. Apparently, the turbo gets a soot build up and the dealers don't address this known failure. I contacted chrysler about this problem and they know it's an issue. The fix for consumers is $5000.00.this is an unacceptable safety risk for ram truck owners.

When driving this vehicle there is a very strong smell of diesel in the cab and coming from the ventilation system when stopping.the fuming is very strong and extremely worrying.i have been sickened during these fuming events.the smell is not unlike charcoal lighter fluid vaporizing but not igniting.i believe that these fumes are deleterious to health and pose a serious danger to public safety. The common unqualified wisdom is that it is a 'regeneration process' taking place, but it does seem to be a dumping of raw fuel and this is vaporizing into the ventilation system, the only things that helps a little is to turn off the a/c off, and switch of the fresh air, use the recirculating air system, open windows.this is the only thing that can be done when you cannot stop the truck and get out for fresh air.my research found many reported cases of this. It seems to be a concern among many dodge (chrysler) ram owners.the manufacturer will not admit there is an issue and the dealers hold fast that its not a problem and is 'normal'.whatever this is, it is not 'normal'.the suggestion of just using 'recirculated air'is a nonsense. This must not be allowed to go on, someone is going to get seriously injured, or themselves and someone else killed from this gassing issue.this issue should be subject to a redesign and a recall on these affected trucks. Irrespective of the processes taking place under the hood, higher egt's, regeneration mode etc.these processes should not affect the health and wellbeing of the vehicle operator.i am imploring the odi to investigate these issues and reported cases, dodge must respond to odi and they must be made to resolve these issues to the satisfaction of the odi and owners alike.chrysler and the dodge ram marque are responsible and liable for their products and faulty engineering..

There appears to be two possibly related issues with regard to the powertrain.the first issue is some sort of backlash in the drive train when accelerating to 30-35 mph and then letting off the gas.the system seems to shift gears before the torque converter unlocks.the second issue is that when accelerating from a stop there is a significant lag in response between the engine and the pedal both in accelerating and decelerating.this can cause an issue when pulling out into traffic.both of these relate to the bcm and the electronic throttle control.multiple visits to the dealership have not solved this issue.

While on an interstate highway. My ram 2500 experienced a immediate loss of power. Causing a near collision from following vehicles.upon taking it in for service .it was found that the diesel particulate filter had exploded and pluged up the catalytic filter. I feel this is a safety hazard.i contacted chrysler, because my truck was still under warranty.they said it was a wear item so would not be covered. How is a catastrophic failure,a wear item ?

While driving my 2013 ram 2500 crew cab 4x4 (vin [xxx] ) i was on an onramp headed onto the highway and i tried to accelerate from roughly 10-15 mph to highway speed because of the short on ramp and heavy traffic. The truck refused to accelerate at even a moderate speed while the accelerator was fully depressed. I ended up having to pull over to the shoulder because i was not able to gain any speed due to what i believe was some kind of electronic program preventing acceleration. I tried to research online for some issues other people may have been reporting and found people referring to something called torque management being there problem. I want ram to fix this issue because it is a true safety issue which prevent necessary acceleration in real world driving situations. I recently merged onto the highway where i live and i let off the throttle very quickly and then got back into it and my truck didn't accelerate at all for a couple seconds. This has happened 10-15 times during the 3+years i've owned it but this incident almost caused a crash because letting off the gas pedal and then getting back on it cause me to continue slow even though i mashed the gas pedal. This is a very dangerous situation and i think there is something very wrong with the software or controller that interacts between my drive by wire throttle and the engine/ecu.

Upon opening the back door of the truck after a heavy rain, we noticed the seat and carpet were wet.the under seat storage compartment had an inch of water.we assumed the door hadn't been closed completely, until it happened again when nobody had opened the door.we assumed it was a leak around the window or door seals and made an appointment with the dealer.when we arrived we were told it was actually a leak from the rear brake cab light and "it happens all the time on many models. We don't know why ram won't fix it. "

On the cummins diesel 6.7 engine, when trying to change lanes and accelerate the truck has a huge hesitation, or lag, in acceleration.it is very dangerous to go from the slower right hand lanes and move over to the left lanes.after the hesitation it accelerates fine.

Well the first time i got diesel it leaked all over the ground so i took it to the dealer. The dealer informed me it is doing what it was designed to do. It need fuel so i filled it up again and drove were i needed to go i looked and diesel was leaking all over therear spring, brakes and wheel so i went back to dealer they gave me a fuel cap as the 2013 did not have a fuel cap. This does not fix the problem as when you fill up with fuel it puts 2 to 5 cups of fuel on the ground! to me this is several hazardous / contamination/ dangers it is a smog compliance truck but i think fuel leaking on ground is a bad hazard let alone fuel on brakes when hot it could catch fire or get your brakes not to work.

When i'm accelerating and have to get off the throttle and back on quickly there's a serious pause, i almost got rear ended because i had no throttle response for a few seconds. This happened to me several times since may, it is very bad when pulling my rv. Please ask chrysler to look into it. Thanks

P65 recall on this vehicle - the notice indicates that parts are not available, but potential adverse affects include fire.we have not been driving it as a result, and chrysler is unable to give us a date for when parts will be available. While they did say that no adverse events of any kind have occurred this obviously does not satisfy my family.

Dead pedal issue when accelerating then momentarily letting of throttle and reapplying throttle, there's a 2-3 second delayed response. I've taken it to the dealer and they don't seem to know what's causing it.

A few days after purchasing the truck i noticed one of the ceiling courtesy / map lights was not working and the next time it came on it would be on at half power.it either doesn't come on or comes on at half power.i visited the dealership several times for them to try and locate a new map light.the dealer after several trips told me they couldn't find the needed parts and didn't know what else to tell me.i have contacted ram customer service numerous times as well as the bbb over the past 6 months concerning this problem.ram customer service states there are no parts available to repair my 2013 2500 ram truck which cost $60,000 and they don't know when any parts will become available.one of my concerns is this light must have a electrical short of some sort either in wiring or the light itself therefore may be a fire hazard.ram appears to care less.

I was traveling along i-25 about 75-80 mph when the steering got extremely tight so i started to slow down and when i did so i found out there was little to no brakes. Once i coasted to the edge of the interstate the truck started to overheat really fast so i shut it off. I opened the hood and examined the motorand found that the water pump shaft had snapped off because the water pump failed. When it happened my truck lost everything that is turned off of the serpintine belt which includes power steering pump all hydraulic system for my master cylinder and cooling system. There was no warning that the pump was going to fail and at 75 mph it was amazing that nothing catastrophic happened with no steering or brakes. I have researched and found there is a recall for the water pump on my truck but it doesnt mention anything about it failing like mine did with 40,000 miles on it.

Driver performed a pre-use walk around inspection on vehicle and observed no damage.driver proceeded on to destination.driver merged on to hwy 70 east and accelerated to the posted speed limit of 75mph and set the cruise control.with no other vehicles around the driver, on or around mile marker 184, the vehicle started to make a loud grinding sound and violently vibrated.the driver pressed the break to disengage the cruise control and looked at the center floorboard to investigate the problem when all at once the floorboard exploded sending shrapnel and debris upward.flames were coming up from the floorboard immediately filled the cab with smoke.at the same time as the explosion occurred, both the driver side and passenger airbags deployed.with the airbags deployed and smoke filling the cab, the driver had zero visibility while the vehicle was still in motion.using the remaining vehicle momentum, they steered to the right to get the vehicle off the road and was able to get the vehicle 90% off the road.they were unable to put the vehicle in park or remove the keys from the ignition.they turned on the hazard lights and evacuated the vehicle to a safe distance.from afar, the driver observed flames dripping from the bottom of the vehicle and with no extinguisher they contacted the police at 678-1234 and informed them of my name and the incident?in turn they instructed the driver to dial 911.after approximately 10 minutes, the white sands missile range fire rescue arrived and secured the scene rendering the vehicle fire safe and pushing it off the road.vehicle towed to dealership.*dt*dt*dt

On april 21, 2018, i pulled my 2013 ram 2500 4x4 out of my barn to go shopping.there was about 3 to 4 inches of snow on the ground. I put the truck into park and got out to close the barn door. After about 2 steps away from the driver's door, the truck started to roll. I turned around a tried to get to the controls to stop the truck.i was knocked down by the truck and run over by the drivers side tire and wheel.i sustained injuries to my left leg.i have found the shifter can indicate the vehicle is in park when in fact the shifter is sitting on the detent between park and reverse.i reported this issue to fiat chrysler automobiles (fca).fca issued a recall over unintended rolling of their trucks.fca knows there is an issue yet they want to sweep it under the carpet. I would not feel right if this safety issue is not address as the next person may not be as lucky as i was if their truck experiences unintended rolling. I believe this issue has the potential for loss of life and extensive property damage.a video of this can be found on youtube @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_nugo1ema4i have still pictures if needed.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v821000 (power train); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The e-brake keeps losing it adjustment and will not hold the truck when parked.it has a 6 speed manual transmission when driving will pot out of gear on rough roads and at time will not shift into reverse. I hand to dodge several times on this issue to no avail.

As a result, the vehicle free wheeled especially picking up speed going down hill. Updated 12/13/2017 *lnupdated 7/12/18

I was driving in the fast lane with no unusual noises or vibrations. All of my gauges were normal. All of a sudden, my pickup truck started shaking violently, and there was a clanging banging noise or sensation. I immediately put my blinker on and headed for the right side of the freeway. As i attempted to brake to slow down, it felt like i was losing power, , the truck was still shaking so i tightly grasped the wheel and cranked it over to the right side of the roadway, off of the pavement altogether. As soon as i was able to stop, i turned the key off. There was already smoke rising from the right front corner of the truck, then flames appeared. I grabbed what valuables i could and escaped the vehicle and called 911.by the time the fire department arrived, my pickup truck, a 2013 dodge ram 2500 diesel with barely 130,000 miles on it was totally gutted by the fire. My front drive line, drive shaft had broken off of the axle of the pickup hitting the brake line while it was bouncing around, causing ignition of the brake fluid. The drive line was found in the center of the freeway. The leaking brake fluid or transfer case fluid was burning on the ground. The fire gradually spread through the engine compartment then through the front and back of the crew cab pickup, destroying it.

While driving on the highway, the truck jerked, look and see it went into towing mode 4.pulled over and tried to put it back into drive.i would not stay.i shut off the car and let it cycle then put it into drive.stayed for 2 seconds and went right back into towing.called the dealership to see if anything happened when they did 2 recalls the day before.they said it would not have anything to do with what happened.i was out of the area and asked if it would damage as i drove.i was told no, but it would use more gas.as i was driving back home the check engine light came on.the next day brought the truck in and was told it was the electri colenoid in the transmission.

2013 ram 2500 - on june 1, 2016 i was placing car seats into the truck.the keys were in my pocket and not running.my 3 year son was sitting in the front seat while i secured the car seats.my son grabbed the gear shifter and the truck went into gear rolling down a 25' embankment and striking a tree at the bottom.upon a post accident inspection, i found that the vehicle would shifting into and out of park with no key in the ignition and without depressing the brake.the incident was reported to my local dodge dealer as they had conducted 2 safety recalls in the weeks previous, one of which involved wiring in the steering column.i was informed by the local dealer that the shift interlock system that is designed to keep a vehicle from going into gear without the brake depressed had failed and that the recalls they had conducted did not involve the shift interlock system.i was advised by the local dealer to contact fiat chrysler (fca).fca sent out a safety inspector to inspect the vehicle.on 6-7-2016 maria padea with a 3rd party inspection firm hired by fca inspected the vehicle at my local dodge dealer. I was not allowed to be present during the inspection.on june 15, 2016 i received a letter from fca stating "..we are not lead to believe that the incident was due to a manufacturing responsibility" and "...therefore we must respectfully decline any assistance associated with this incident.upon receiving the letter, i contacted fca and requested a copy of the inspection report.i received an email on 07-11-2016 stating "the inspection report and documentation you have requested are confidential and proprietary.as such, we are unable to provide them.should you have any doubts about our handling, we encourage you to engage your own investigator to look into the matter. The incident has been reported to my insurance carrier.

When pulling my key out after parking my vehicle and turning off the enginei am still able to shift gears with the key out of the ignition and my foot off the brakes

Vehicle can be placed into drive without hitting the brake pedal. Dealer "fixed it" once and the problem has reoccurred.

Brake shift interlock is malfunctioning.vehicle shifts out of park without depressing brake pedal.

Hit a deer and side curtain airbags deployed. After incident occurred seatbelt would not release, police had also attempted to release seatbelt but had to end up cutting the belt to get my husband out of the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, the vehicle was involved in a front end collision. In addition, the air bags did not deploy, the electrical system did not shut down, and the seat belts did not retract.prior to the accident, the vehicle was serviced under nhtsa campaign number: 15v459000 (air bags). The vehicle was taken to the dealer however a determination had not been established whether the vehicle was destroyed or not. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. A police report was filed. There was one injury that required medical attention. The contact suffered from pain in the shoulder, knee, ankle, and neck. The failure mileage was 29,000.

1)truck pulls to the right since day of purchase.have had truck to multiple alignmentspecialists including dealerships and findings are that the front left caster is out of chryslers specs. And is nonadjustable due to solid front axle(4x4)i have been pulled over twice for swerving by law enforcement. Given a 3 second count and the truck will be in the next rt lane on a road with little or no crown.. I feel i am going to hit an cyclist or pedestrian on the side of the road. 2) the exhaust brake will engage when not activated by control button intermittently. I can accelerate to 65mph and as soon as i let off accelerator exhaust brake will fully engage and if in wet, snow or icy conditions will cause truck to lose control especially if towing a trailer. (jack knife) per owners manual!i have proven this to dodge and have video proof also. I have had multiple attempts by dodge to repair. With no success. 3) safety recall p65 diesel heater overheating causing an engine fire was issued at least5 months ago with no permanent fix at this current date. I wont even drive this truck anymore due to all the safety issues. I purchased this truck to tow an travel trailer with my family but do not want to put their lives in jeopardy.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. The contact stated while driving 65 mph, the brake pedal was depressed however, failed to stop the vehicle. The contact engaged the parking brakes to stop the vehicle. The contact diagnosed the failure as an inner plastic liner tube in hose coming from the steering wheel pump that jammed the power screw valve. The contact repaired the failure himself. The contact stated that he left messages for a local ram dealer however, there was no response. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 71,584.

The e-brake keeps losing it adjustment and will not hold the truck when parked.it has a 6 speed manual transmission when driving will pot out of gear on rough roads and at time will not shift into reverse. I hand to dodge several times on this issue to no avail.

Rear axle tube seals fail prematurely, rendering brakes on affected side(s) ineffective due to lubrication saturation of brake disc and pads.there have been multiple (premature) failures of these seals on late model ram trucks, some as early as 12000 miles.

Factory mounted electric brake controller does not put out enough voltage and current to safely stop a heavy trailer.this is a known problem and many owners are experiencing it.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. While the vehicle was reversing out of the garage, the rear wheels suddenly seized. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was discovered (after the rear wheels were removed) that the emergency brake pads had detached and fell into the rear axle. The brake pads were removed, but were not replaced. After contacting the local dealer (don chrysler/dodge in cadillac, mi), the contact was informed that the failure was common among this model vehicle and occurred due to lack of use of the emergency brakes. The manufacturer was not notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 70,000.

The contact owned a 2013 dodge ram 2500. While parked, the contact noticed oil leaking from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering seal needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact also stated that there was an abnormal noise coming from the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions where the steering box and pinion seal were replaced, each on different occasions. In addition, the vehicle veered to the right. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the vehicle was aligned, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 42,000.

Truck wanders. Steering gear was replaced and the dealer said it was ok. It was the same. I returned it but no paperwork was written. Chrysler rep drove it and said it drove like all others. I returned the following day to drive the trucks that were like mine but they were not available.i can turn the steering wheel 1/2 turn without the tires moving if i do it slowly.i was forced to make a quick 3000 mile trip and it was a white knuckle trip. The tires are wearing on the side also.if i turn the wheel quickly it will respond. If i drift enough to make a correction nothing happens until i run out of room and have to quickly turn the wheel. Then i over steer and go too far the other way.i am to meet with a chrysler tech and the guy from chrysler that drove it next thurs. Frankly after being told it is the way i drive, i don't trust them and i will never trust this truck.my thoughts are to let them see what i see and not let them touch it if you are interested in my complaint and wish to see for yourself.if we get ice on the roads like we will any day, no one could keep this truck under control.it is very unsafe to drive.in a discussion on a ram website, i found another who has a like problem and has never been able to get it corrected. He is thinking about trading it to get rid of it.this will just transfer the problem to another driver.please give me some advise.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

2013 ram 2500 megacab 4x4.purchased this vehicle 1 month ago. Noticed when driving over 60 mph the front of the truck begins to shake. This causes the steering wheel and front passenger seat to vibrate uncontrollably so that you can visably see it and feel it.the truck is in perfect alignment when you let go of the wheel, so its not that.seems to be related to the steering or suspension. This is very annoying and im worried it could lead to some type of steering malfunction, resulting in a wreck.dealer shows no problem when inspected.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a "death wobble" while driving 55 mph. Also, the steering wheel shook so violently that the contact lost control of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle would shake even when it struck a small bump in the road, which caused it to drive into a ditch on two occasions. The vehicle was taken to autonation chrysler dodge jeep ram spring (21027 i-45, spring, tx 77388, (281) 715-6927). The dealer stated that they were aware of the failure, but there was no remedy. The contact called the manufacturer, but was unable to speak with anyone. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 3,500.

My new ram 2500 hd truck has "death wobble".when at highway speeds when you hit a bump in the road just right the front end violently shakes out of control until you almost come to a complete stop. It shakes so hard i can't believe you don't have to rebuild the front end every time it happens.it has been to the dealer 5 times to be repaired and the problem still persists.i was told by the new service manager at the dealership i purchased the truck from that the problem could not be 100% fixed and that it will always come back.and that i'm lucky that it has only happened a couple times a year.this has been a very dangerous, aggravating, waste of time dealing with such a dangerous issue they seem to not take very seriously. It has been happening since about march 2014 and the last time it happened was jan 9th 2016.

Dodge ram truck death wobble.

Driving 60mph with a small load on 16ft gooseneck stock trailer.load was 2000 lbs.hit a rough spot in the road, steering wheel began to shake uncontrollably, pulling me into the other lane.luckily, there was no traffic.approximately 1 mile later, i hit another rough spot.this time, the steering wheel shook so violently, that it almost pulled my hands off the wheel.the frequency of the shake was reduced as i was able to slow down, but the violence of the shake seemed to increase until i had slowed to about 15 mph.road was straight, weather was clear and about 90 degrees.

The track bar mounts have all the welds cracked and it causes the truck to shake uncontrollably and is very dangerous. I have almost crashed twice due to this problem. I see that fca currently has a recall for this exact problem r46, my truck falls within the model and years but for some reason is not covered under the recall. I noticed the problem driving on the highway at 60 mph the truck began to shake in a violent and uncontrollable manner all the cars around me slammed their brakes to stay away. I was able to brake down to 20 mph when the shaking stopped. I pulled over to the emergency lane to examine my truck and noticed the cracked welds on the track bar mount. I need to have this fixed under the recall as this is a huge safety problem for my self and my fellow drivers i share the road with.

Steering became extremely loose. It became so loose that if i hit a bump i would end up in the next lane of traffic. The upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, and the entire steering linkage were replaced andthe problem didnt get better. I had nearly 6 inches of play in the steering wheel.i'd appreciate if something was done for this so no more people have to go through this headache or safety issue.

Had a death wobble in may of 2017.i was knocked off the road during a school camping trip at 60 miles an hour on a mountain pass.luckily i managed to stop the vehicle before rolling over.dealer fixed upper and lower ball joint and trac bar. The wobble is now back and i am deathly afraid to drive it.i live in the mountains of colorado and i use the truck to pull a large boat.if it happens on a mountain pass...i am dead!

2013 ram 4x4 cummins with severe steering issues. The steering was noticeably unstable at around 38,000 miles. The drag links were both replaced, with moog greasables (non warranty parts) and so were all the tires (to try and eliminate possibilities). I am currently at 44,000 miles and just got the truck from the dealership after an alignment. The steering is still "unstable" and i have to compensate to keep it straight on the road. It resembles a drunk driver is driving the truck. I don't drive the truck as a daily driver only for trips and pulling. I seems to be more unstable when accelerating and when the road is uneven or bumpy as if something is loose in the front end. I am also a mechanical person and have been under the truck several times and cannot see or feel anything loose (neither did the dealer). I have even replaced the brake pads while checking the calipers thinking one or more were "sticking". Everything was ok with the brakes but pads got replaced with new ceramics anyway.at around 35,000 miles i noticed a "slipping" or rough noise when taking off from a stop especially while turning left or right. I took it to the dealership and they said they noticed the noise but was a normal noise coming from the limited slip differential. The noise resembles tires slightly loosing traction on loose stones and is still happening to this day. The steering has gotten worse even with the new parts installed and i'm getting very concerned with the safety of the vehicle. Can anyone please shed some light on the steering issue or if the noise i hear has any bearing on the steering issue?

When driving at all speeds the truck wonders all over the road as if the driver were drunk. The steering assy. Has so much play in the steering wheel the driver is constantly having to move the steering wheel back and forth to stay in the center of the lane. The real problem is when you are towing a trailer by hitch or 5th wheel, the added normal sway of the trailer multiply's the unsafe feel at the steering wheel and on the road as the driver is having to work the wheel in to keep the truck in its own lane. Dodge has replaced the steering gear box once and that took out most of the splay but the new box still has play and makes the truck unsafe to drive with a trailer.

While driving on interstate 84 in hartford, ct i hit a slight bump after they were resurfacing the road at about 50 miles per hour.the entire truck shook violently from the suspension into the steering wheel.felt like all 4 tires were about to come out from under the truck.luckily i was able to veer to the nearest exit and come to a complete stop.i took the truck onto a side road and visually inspected the undercarriage.nothing seemed loose or seemed to have any play.the truck only has 58000 miles and i have never experienced this prior. Extremely nervous to bring this 3/4 ton up to highway speeds again.

My truck has the death wobble.... A violent shaking of the front end at highway speeds ...... Very dangerous!! i went off of the road last week and ended up in a cotton field. Once the death wobble started i had no control of the brakes or steering wheel. Please help before me or someone dies!!!!! i have put all new ball joints , track bar, right and left upper tie rods, damper,3 alignments, my front right shock, and the right hub assembly all valued at $2751.60 so far and ive done most of the work....please help.

On three separate occasions recently, the steering on my 2013 dodge 2500 exhibited a violent shaking when i hit a small linear ridge on the interstate while traveling at the posted speed limit such as going over a bridge or the line from asphalt installed over old concrete sections..this violent shaking almost sent the truck off the road and only stopped when i slowed down below 30 mph.i have taken the truck to the dodge dealer and also a local garage and the drag link is bent and the tie-rod ends have to be replaced.the vehicle has never been in an accident.i was told the bent drag link was a result of the violent shaking called the "death wobble".the cost to repair the steering system is over $2200 and this truck only has 126,000 miles on it.

The vehicle began shaking uncontrollably at highway speed after hitting a bump in the road.

While driving the vehicle if you hit a bump in the road or a low spot the vehicle will shake violently (death wobble) and you must bring the vehicle to an immediate stop . I feel this is a very serious issue as you can loose control of the truck at highway speeds putting not only myself and family in danger but also other unsuspecting drivers in danger.

I was traveling along i-25 about 75-80 mph when the steering got extremely tight so i started to slow down and when i did so i found out there was little to no brakes. Once i coasted to the edge of the interstate the truck started to overheat really fast so i shut it off. I have researched and found there is a recall for the water pump on my truck but it doesnt mention anything about it failing like mine did with 40,000 miles on it.

Driving on the ma route 128 s highway around 65-70 mph, i hit a pothole on the left side of the travel lane. The truck started to shake violently as described with a death wobble. The violent shaking did not stop after applying the brakes to slow through about 35-40 mph. It felt as if all 4 tires blew simultaneously. No obvious damage was observed once stopped. This truck has less than 33900 miles at the time of the incident. The steering feels otherwise tight and responsive, the tires and wheels are stock and are wearing evenly. This is a very dangerous condition that affects the safety of operator, occupants and other drivers near an uncontrollable vehicle. The internet sources are widely aware of the condition with no clear solution to the problem. Many people identify equipment including shocks, ball joints, steering boxes, tie rods and ends and steering dampers and unbalanced tires. Some consumers indicate that even with entire front ends being replaced the problem continued. This indicates a design problem to me.

When driving on road there is something knocking in the steering wheel. Like something is loose.

While traveling down a highway at 55 mph the vehicle became hard to control and had a very strong vibration in the front end. The steering was not controllable and the vehicle felt like it had a flat tire. No tire damage was noted upon inspection. The vehicle continues to have steering and ride issues even after a trip to the dealership

I was driving down the hwy at 70 mph when i hit a bump and the whole front end ofthe truck started to shake so bad is could not control the truck.death wobble.

Steering damper on my 2013 ram 2500 (50k miles) is in need of replacing.this damper clunks while driving. I have researched other ram trucks of this model and most are having the same issue and is apparent the steering damper - connects from steering wheel shaft to steering box is faulty.the two lugs on the damper have struck the ends of the slots and have pronounced metal to metal contact.my concern if not replaced by ram, this could fault causing loss of steering resulting to personal injury up to including death of the driver and passengers.i have taken this issue into jeep/chry/ram service on several occasions and they decided to replace my ball joints at approx. 25k miles ???recommend nhtsa to look into this matter as a manufacture defect and will not be replaced free of charge unless pushed as a recall item.

I am having what they call the "death wobble" when i drive over 65 mph and hit a pot hole, the front end starts to shimmy up and down violently. I have to slow down quickly not to lose control of the vehicle. Also tends to vibrate badly on turns.

All four ball joints and tie rod need replacement after only 44,400 miles on my 2013 dodge ram 2500 4x4 slt crew cab.dealer told me the warrantee expired at 35,000 miles.repairs total slightly over $1300.this is outrageous.i have had many vehicles with well over 175,000 and never had issues with ball joints or tie rods.this should be a recall item. Purchased at dodge dealer in bakersfield, ca.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. While driving between 25-30 mph, the steering wheel seized without warning. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed. Sunset motors incorp (located at 2218 sunset blvd, steubenville, oh 43952, (740) 264-1696) was notified, but the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 15,997.

While traveling on the interstate north of new york city, the truck began toshake violently after hitting a bump in the road. The road was dry, sunny conditions and moderate traffic traveling about 65mph. This was the second time it happened and the first after performing work about 2 thousand miles earlier. The work included, replace front brake pads, calipers and rotors after dealer discovered possible sticky not frozen left front caliper. Replacing left and right side upper and lower ball joints all found to be in tolerance but dealer convinced warranty company that they should be replaced. 4 wheel computer alignment. Front end appeared to be in near new condition as the original mileage was just over 30k. The truck had no signs or symptoms for out of balance wheels or tires, shocks, springs or steering stabilizer. There was never excessive play in the steering. The warranty covered approximately $1100 of the total that was over $2300. The condition reoccurred less than 2000 miles after the work was completed.this is indicative of a design flaw with the size of components used in the control arms. The control arms fail to stabilize the front end after hitting a bump on one side. The arms actually act as springs counteracting forces which cause the front axle to shake violently until vehicle speed drops to below 20 miles an hour as the energy dissipates. Chrysler, specifically the local dealers have suggested uneven tire pressures and everything else that was replaced earlier. This problem is inherent to this vehicle's design and the use of less than required size of components.

Have experienced 'death wobble' (extreme vibration and loss of control) after hitting chuckhole at highway speed on three occasions.the third time nearly caused an accident.in all three cases, was driving in a straight line at about 65 mph.mileage is 26400.the dealer is replacing the ball joints and other front end parts.a search of the internet shows this is a common problem on this truck.

Left house driving east on 8200s when approx 5200 w i lost steering and veered to the right, hitting a street light and skidding along a concrete fence. I stopped, exited vehicle and two men that witnessed come up and said your steering arm broke, at the time i was in shock and attributed them saying arm being broke was result of accident but that would explain why lost control of vehicle,i assume they also called police as i never made the call and officer showed up on scene.the next day i met with auto body shop and they was as in shock as i as he looked under vehicle and pointed out the broken part and said this is what caused you to loose steering.i am thankful was not on freeway driving faster speed and that i didn't have my small child with me, thank god no one was injured.

Experiencing "death wobble" when speeds reach 50-55mph when driving on highway.

On 01/14/2015 i went to fuel up at gas station the gas gauge was showing empty. I started to put fuel in my truck and it spilled out all over the truck and ground. I tried to put fuel in it again and the same thing happened. The truck took only $1.72 in fuel. I then took it to the dealer ship where i bought the truck. I explained what happened they ran test on it. Repair the check ball in tank was sticking. They ordered a hole new tank and replaced tank transfer fuel pump also installed a new filler neck, flapper was sticking also and replaced tube assembly## vin passed ## dodge ram 2500 2013 ##the consumer stated when he opened the passenger side front door, the molding from the top of the door fell off.the molding then fell off the driver side, too.the consumer referenced recall # 14v635000. He believed his make, model and year should have been included.

My vehicle has a ratcheting sound that comes from somewhere in the left front corner of the truck when a pothole or dip is driven over at highway speeds. I am unable to tell if this is caused by the braking system, suspension or steering mechanism. I can clearly feel the ratcheting vibrations in on the steering wheel making me believe it is part of steering or suspension. This has been going on in this truck for at least 4 years now and it seems to be getting worse over time. I have taken this truck into multiple dealers to resolve this issue, while both in warranty and out of warranty. The dealers are able to reproduce the noise but unable to find the cause and correct it. This has been an ongoing issue and i am concerned about the safety aspect. Most recently the dealer that i bought it from told me that i should just trade it in for a new one and that the people that test drive the the truck one wouldn't be able to find the issue and i would get the most money now. Seemed very shady to me. I have a complete and up to date service history on this truck and have had lots of issues with it but this one has to be the most annoying. That and the drivers side door mirror that seems to be badly engineered and being unable to see out of it while driving because of the rough ride.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. While the vehicle was undergoing routine maintenance, the independent mechanic noticed that the track bar was cracked. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to autonation chrysler dodge jeep ram roseville (200 automall dr, roseville, ca 95661, (916) 467-8055). The dealer stated that they were not able to assist because the lift kit installed on the vehicle caused stress to the track bar. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 84,000.

"death wobble" at highway speeds, this truck will bounce to the point of shaking the driver . If hitting any size hole or cut in highway the truck feels like it comes off of the road and uncontrollably moves to another lane. On highway it shakes on large radius turns . Bad suspension design is well documented online!

I am having what they call the "death wobble" when i drive over 65 mph and hit a pot hole, the front end starts to shimmy up and down violently. I have to slow down quickly not to lose control of the vehicle. Also tends to vibrate badly on turns.

At highway speed, about 60-65 mph i went into an uncontrollable wobble. It would only calm down after decreasing speed to less then 35 mph. The truck only has less then 35,000 miles. Took it to the dealer that claimed it had bad ball joints. Again the truck only has less then 35,000 miles on it. Dodge ram junk.

I was driving down the hwy at 70 mph when i hit a bump and the whole front end ofthe truck started to shake so bad is could not control the truck.death wobble.

Dodge ram truck death wobble.

The contact stated that while driving at approximately 50 mph and going over a speed bump, the front end shook violently until the vehicle was stopped. The failure recurred whenever the vehicle hit a bump or went over a speed bump. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where an alignment was performed but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 77,000.

"death wobble", this has been documented in many places on line as a problem with this truck. When traveling at highway speeds hitting any pothole will lift the truck off of the road and move out of the lane. Also when traveling on cement highways that have been cut for expansion joints the truck bounces up and down enough to shake the driver and passengers violently. Causing drivers loss of concentration and control. This really needs to be fixed through better engineering. I have also noticed that while at highway speed when taking a long curve the truck begins to jump and wobble as if it will come off of the road and loose traction with the highway surface. This has been a problem since the truck was purchased and happens everyday it is driven. So the date given below does not matter.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. While driving 65 mph over a bump in the road, the vehicle violently vibrated. The contact stated that the failure would not go away until the vehicle was completely stopped. The failure occurred twice. Bob allen chrysler dodge jeep ram fiat of frankfort (925 versailles rd, frankfort, ky 40601, (502) 695-0166) was contacted and stated that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 53,000.

I took my ram in for a state inspection. They stated that the upper and lower ball joints need to be replaced before next inspection. This truck only has 48000 miles on it.

I purchased this vehicle in washington and it was never disclosed by the dealer that the vehicle was built in canada. When i drive the truck at certain speeds the truck has a very serious vibration. I was told by a mechanic that is was displaying obvious signs of the "death wobble" when driven on the street or highway. It appears to involve the front end/suspension. I don't feel safe driving or letting my family ride in the truck. I have parked the truck and have not driven it since. I tried to contact fiat chrysler in the us. They advised that i had to speak to someone in canada since the truck was built there. Canadian fiat chrysler advised that i would have to speak to us fiat chrysler or an import export broker because the vehicle was purchased in washington. The dealer never disclosed that this truck was built in canada and that i would not be able to purchase a service contract on the vehicle through mopar.. I have tried to contact the dealership, rairdon's of bellingham, however no one has responded to any of my calls. Please note the date the vibrations started is approximate.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. While driving various highway speeds, the vehicle experienced a condition called the "death wobble" and shook violently upon hitting a bump in the road. Heritage chrysler in baltimore, maryland 21234 was made aware of the failure and replaced two of the upper ball joints, but the failure recurred. The dealer could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 46,000.

2013 dodge 2500.consumer writes in regards to vehicle tires and several recall issues.the consumer stated from the very beginning the right front tire was odd. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where they determined the vehicle needed an alignment and it would cost $ 139.99.

The electronic dash in front of the steering wheel which shows what gear such as drive or reverse or park and weather or not you are in 4 x 4 mode goes on and off by itself and now has stopped working all together. This then leaves you not knowing what gear you have place the vehicle which can cause you to cause an acident or injure or kill someone. There is a recall on the 2014 models but not the 2013 models with the same display. This now is a permanent problem and making this vehicle extremely unsafe to drive. This is a work vehicle and has many different drivers. This is an accident / bad accident waiting to happen.

1) airbag warning light keeps coming on 2) engine light keeps coming on.dodge service department says just ignore it.3) 4x4 4wd has no resistance on interior gear shift

The last time my truck was in for recall was in 2016. They did not fix it then and have not fixed any recall since, but they clam that there is only one recall open as of date. None of the recalls have been repaired. This is being pencel whiped.

I was driving my gmc acadia when it started to smoke so i pulled over and it was on fire. The whole car burnt.

Door locks sometimes lock when the locked button is pressed. Does not matter if it's the lock button on the truck, the auto lock once you go above 10mph, or the lock button on the remote. Since the doors do not lock, kids may be able to exit the vehicle at speed and get hurt!

Vehicle was bought new ever scents then i have had to replace 4 radios and compass in my truck.. The screen would go blank but the radio would still be on but you couldn't turn it off .i 've been told it was the uconnect etc .the safety of theback up camera doesn't work. I tried to turn the truck of to reset but that has never workedthey keep getting the radios from the same vendor. I recommended that they use a different supplier . Chrysler hasn't but what do i know.

Shift solenoid

Rear axle tube seals fail prematurely, rendering brakes on affected side(s) ineffective due to lubrication saturation of brake disc and pads.there have been multiple (premature) failures of these seals on late model ram trucks, some as early as 12000 miles.

Volume on radio doesn't work which mean the hands free volume doesn't work either. On a couple of occasions the interuption of the volume not working has caused me to be distracted while driving.

Backup camera scrambles and goes out intermittently when backing up, and rear passenger taillight posting out in system messages on startup and stored messages but is not out.

Electric door locks have locked and unlocked by them self and sometimes won't lock at all you have to keep hitting the fob button off and on till they actually lock or the lock button on inside door .this happened once while driving in a straight road, the other time's just when trying to unlock to get in and when getting out to lock it up

On may 26, 2015 and before this date and after this date the molding in the doors both front and back doors would fall down or come apart from the sides and when you get out of the truck or open the doors to get in the truck to go some where you would have to try to realign it to get it back on. You would drive down the road and hear wind coming threw and howling in the cracks.

After being put in park, vehicle rolled away causing no property damage, just bodily injury

Vehicle was bought new the radio screen went blank but the radio was still on. Driving down the road the radio screen would go on and off and the compass didn't work. I was told it might be the uconnect.. The saftey camera back up wouldn't work . I tried to turn the truck off and on to reset the radio but that didn't work. I took the truck in to napleton and they replaced the radio with a new one.

On september 1,2015 at 9:15 pm while driving back from nashville tn to pa. The engine light came on and i noticed the def gauge hadn't moved . So i pulled over to check things out and made it to a gas station and bought some def and tryed to fill it up but the def tank seamed to be fill. I turnedthe truck on and off a few times to see if that would move the gauge and reset the engine light but it didn't . The engine light stayed on most of the trip back. The next mourning on sept 2, 2015 i took the truck back to dealer and show them the pictures and explained what had happened . They said to bring it back on the following tuesday and they would look at it again. I dropped the truck back off at napleton at 9:00 am on tuesday september 8, 2015.i am waiting to hear back.

On 11/05/2014 i was driving and turned on the heater to the truck and started to smell a strong odor of diesel fuel . I looked at the fuel gauge and saw i had fuel so i pulled over and stopped. I looked every where on the truck and on the ground i couldn'tfind any thing but you could smell it real bad. The next day on 11/06/2015 i called the chrysler 800 number 800-853-1403 my self and spoke to xxxx i explained what had happed and asked are you having any problems like that . He said "hold on and said he never heard of that and their where no recalls concerning that" note: while we were on the phonei was also the internet and found a recall concerning the diesel fuel heater he said he couldn't find any thing. I asked is it safe to drive he said yes. Note it wasn't until today i got on your site and found recall concerning this matter at this time it has not been repaired. Note because of the news of the recalls that just came out yesterday etc also my other submission to the nhtsa today odi # 10744472 .it is my humble opinion that dodge ram 2013 models should also be included in your action against chrysler.

My ram 2500 laramie developed a heating issue.i have had my truck to the dealer on several occasions, with no fix.i have replaced the thermostat, heater core, and the blend motors.after all of that, the heater in my truck still doesn't work.my engine will heat up to 190 degrees and the heat just doesn't work.it doesn't matter if i'm driving on the highway, city streets, or anywhere else.the heat doesn't work.this problem started around april 2019.

Vehicle was bought new. After having a new radio but in my truck i notice white spots on the screen and the radio was going on and off and the screen would go blank. The saftey back up camera wouldn't work. Again i would try to turn the truck off and on to reset the radio but it didn't work. I took it back to napleton and again they replaced the radio again.

Engine light comes on when you start the truck. Had the engine light checked said it's coming on because the def. The def had a recall a couple years ago and had it fixed but now the light is coming back on for the same problem.

On the cummins diesel 6.7 engine, when trying to change lanes and accelerate the truck has a huge hesitation, or lag, in acceleration.it is very dangerous to go from the slower right hand lanes and move over to the left lanes.after the hesitation it accelerates fine.

When i'm accelerating and have to get off the throttle and back on quickly there's a serious pause, i almost got rear ended because i had no throttle response for a few seconds. This happened to me several times since may, it is very bad when pulling my rv. Please ask chrysler to look into it. Thanks

The electronically controlled throttle pedal has a severe delay when having to suddenly let off at speed then the need to re-apply throttle in an emergency situation. There is a delay in upwards of 1 to 2 seconds before the truck responds to throttle input.this happens on a regular basis and can be very dangerous when pulling into traffic or merging onto a freeway.i've been close to accidents on multiple occasions due to the lack of throttle response caused by this.

Losing trottle at various speeds is extremely dangerous.no acceleration at all at intersections is very scary.dealer says that cannot find the problem. Costly as well.

When i hit the gas pedal and let off for a second and then try to return to the gas pedal there is nothing. A lot of people call it "dead pedal" it has almost gotten me hit many times driving in traffic. This happened on a mountain road in the snow and almost got me and my wife killed. If there had not been a stump there, we would have plunged about 500 feet off the edge of the mountain. Not cool. The dealer told me there was nothing they could do. I guess when it gets me killed, i will have to have my family sue dodge over it.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500 mega cab. While driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle independently accelerated without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 89,000.

The contact owns a 2013 ram 2500. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle cruise control engaged without warning. The contact disengaged the cruise control and the vehicle returned to normal. Wipers function when not turned on, lights flicker on & off when on high beam, high beams won't come on at all, traction control indicator goes on & off while driving, radio display will not turn on & we are unable to change radio stations, a/c will not blow at selected speed, turn signals are not functioning when turned on. All above while driving or idling, highway & city travels.

Due to a poor sill design, debris such as small rocks and sand will collect at the bottom of the driver and passenger side windows.when the windows are rolled down, the debris will scratch and etch permanent vertical lines in the glass as they move downward.over time the glass appears dirty, hazy, and provides reduced visibility especially in high sun situations or at night when under direct light from another vehicle's headlights.

The air blowing into the cab of my truck is not as warm as it should be. It has been getting slowly worse and now that the weather is freezing it is not heating at all. I have had the coolant system flushed, replaced the thermostat, flushed the heater core, all to no avail. Truck runs fine and is not overheating. The blowers work fine as well. In freezing weather the windshield will not defrost.my dealer tells me that the blend door inside the dash isn't opening fully, and that i will have an $1800 repair bill to fix this. My truck isn't old, and is still in near perfect condition. I have never owned a vehicle that has needed so many repairs and had so many recalls.

On 9-6-17 i remote started the truck. After a minute or two there was a loud noise and the engine stopped.when i lifted the hood the serpentine belt was in pieces. I replaced the belt and when i started the truck that belt shredded as well. I noticed metal shavings behind the pulley on the water pump. I had the truck towed to the dealer. The dealer said our water pump seized. It was replaced under my extended warranty on 9-7-17.

Wipers running with key and wiper switch off. Went to go to work and walked outside to find wipers running in low. Disconnect battery to stop. Waited 5 days, as soon as i connected, they started up. Pulled fuse and they stopped, haven't used truck since.
