The travel trailer was being towed in alachua county when it began to sway violently.my husband was traveling at 50miles per hour.the trailer took control of the truck and caused the truck to swerve through all 3 lanes and do a 180 degree turn.the accident was caused because the trailer had a bent axle.this was not known to me or my husband at the time.the flordia highway patrol /trooper stated that my husband was not at fault and the accident was unavoidable.the trailer was repaired in lake city, florida by a person who has more than 25 years of experience.the person who repaired the axle has the old one.i also took pictures of the axle.apparently it is possible to bend this type of axle relatively easily and not be aware of it.subsequently the trailer would be mis-aligned and can cause this type of an accident according to the person who has 25 years of experience and repaired our trailer.it was almost a near death situation on i -75 south where the traffic is traveling at 70-80 miles per hour.we are very fortunate to be alive.our truck had over $3000 worth of damage.
