Takata recall. Company is not doing enough for customers to remedy the situation.recall letter is july 2016, this has been 4 months without the use of my front seat. I've called both my local dealership as well as gm corporate and they are unwilling to provide a rental or loaner while i wait. They are literally robbing me of full use of my car. They are also unwilling to provide any kind of time table as to when parts will be ready.the company should provide a rental for such trouble since i have many time had to borrow a friend car when i need to carry more passengers as putting 3 people in the back seat is horribly uncomfortable and having 5 is now impossible. They are not fixing this condition in a reasonable time frame.

Takata recallhow much longer will it take to replace the killer air bag in my car? we received notice 7 months ago about recall #15826, but to this day nobody knows anything about fixing the problem.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 pontiac vibe. The contact stated that the recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 16v340000 (air bags) was received in may. Takata recalli first received my safety recall notice in july 2016 and my second notice in may 2017. Both times i was informed that i would receive a call when the parts came in but the call never came and the repair never done. Yesterday i went beyond the dealership and spoke to a gm representative who also couldn't find any dealership in my area with the parts to complete the work. Of course at this point i asked for a "loaner" car since i haven't been able to safely put a passenger in the front seat for eleven months!needless to say that request fell on deaf ears.ironically, after all that, last night the car was "totaled" and i am grateful that the airbag was not involved in any injuries. My main point in notifying you today is to say that this has been a sorry excuse for a recall. No company should take eleven months and still not be able to repair the problem. No company should deny me the right to use the passenger seat of my vehicle and not face consequences. You all need to step up to the plate and truly protect the consumer.

Engine speed accelerated when coming to a stop. Had to jam on break and throw transmission into park. This occurred multiple times in future months . Car is only driven may thru jan. Car went to dealer 4 times for this problem including toyota recalls. Last occurrence 11/9/11. Problem never solved. (multiple times means 7+).

Check engine light, vsc, and tss all illuminate on dash. Then the car experiences a down shift in the transmission to a lower gear, engine rev's to a high rpm slowing the car down. After the car stops forward progress, car idles very rough and may stall. The first time his happened was on a city street and while car was cruising at approx 30 mph. No warning just a sudden change. Car appeared normal prior to this event. Took the car for diagnostic and the mechanic stated that the issue is related to a faulty computer. Mechanic cleared the codes and shortly there after the car repeated to sequence of events as described above.

Vsc off stability indicator - traction control system tcs warning lights and check engine lights go on indicate system failure in the rain or after a extended spell of very humid weather. While dash lights are on there is no antilock or stability. This has been an ongoing problem for the 3 years i have owned the car.

Engine oil consumption, since the last oil changed ( 5,000 miles ) the oil level was almost empty, the oil used since new is synthetic and the recommended grade by manufacturer. Car only has 36, 000 miles and oil has been change every 5000 miles as recommended.

Oil consumption issue, oil was at empty level after only 2500 miles from last oil change.used recommended synthetic oil, car has been serviced on a regular basis.

Unpredictable behavior, including erratic shifting, an engine that won't start, illumination of the check-engine light, or stalling while in motion while city driving usually occurring between 7-12 miles of travel. Same issue the 2004-2008 recall was issued for.

The clutch in my 2010 pontiac vibe gt failed while driving at 45 mph.the car would rev but with virtually no acceleration ability.luckily i was on a rural road and able to pull over.my vehicle has 36k miles on it.i have 31 years of manual transmission driving experience and i have never had to replace a clutch...especially with this little amount of mileage.online, there are at least 5 pages of complaints from different gm customers dating from as far back as 2004 giving their own accounts of the same low mileage clutch failures on their pontiac vibe gts. Gm has done nothing to correct this obvious and potentially deadly design flaw.they have stood by their claims of 'user error' in each and every case, regardless of the driver's experience and skill with clutch driving. Some of those accounts claim that their service managersadmitted to them that there is a flaw in the car but they told the customer that they cannot do anything about it because gm will not own up to their design mistake.

I bought a 2010 pontiac vibe and 3 months later the front end of the car started shaking real bad so i called up koehne auto to tell them and they wouldn't as much as tale it for a test drive to see whati was talking about. They kept on looking at the front end and kept telling me that there was nothing wrong with the brakes that the tires were bald so they put $500 dollars worth of tires on the car and then i went back to them and told them that the problem wasn't still fixed so i went to my private mechanic and he looked at it and found our the bearrings and the stablizer bar was shot and it was dangerous to drive and they still assisted over at koehne auto that it was the tires being baled so i decided not to pay the whole amount of the car payment because i was not going to have my family of being in jeopardy of being killed.i asked them to lower the car payment to 250 because of all the repairs i had to pay for because they would not go good for the repairs. So i stopped making payments in octobet recieved one letter about them threatiing to repo the car just a couple of days before christmas and they didn't come to repo it until 3 months later on march9th at 6 or 7:30 in the evening.i paid over 5 grand before i had stopped my payments. I could not afford the repairs plus the high car payment.of 442.54 i found out there are 6 recalls on this vehicle and they didnt alert me until a couple of days before the car was repode.i would like my money back from all of the repairs i made plus the money i paid on the car and a new car.

At highway speeds, my car will suddenly steer sharply on its own, as if it were hit by a sudden, violent crosswindthis has happened approximately 20-25 times, always at highway speeds.always swerving to the left.no accidents have occurred, but each occurrence could have resulted in an accident, as it is difficult, if not impossible to maintain lane discipline.vehicle is 6 months old, 5,000 miles.no known damage or unusual wear that would cause such a reaction.

2010 pontiac vibe. S10 appropriate handling- letter from regarding toyota problems *tgw the consumer stated when starting out from idle, if he barely touches the accelerator it starts out very slowly or not at all if the vehicle is in reverse from a downhill position. Then if he press slightly more, the engine drops into a lower gear and the vehicle surges. On a wet street, the wheels spin and the vehicle almost goes out of control.in reverse, especially from a downhill position, at first there is no movement of the wheels, then if he applies the accelerator slightly more the vehicle surges to the rear, leaping 6 to 8 feet. The consumer learned his make, model and year vehicle was recalled for accelerator pedal issues.
