Pontiac g5. Consumer writes to express discontent related to repairs *tgwthe consumer stated her vehicle had to be towed to the dealer for repairs to the ignition cylinder. The consumer stated the dealer kept her vehicle for almost two weeks,the first week, no work was done, the second week, after several calls, she was informed the vehicle needed a housing ignition kit at a price of $126.20. Later in the week, the consumer received a call from the dealer stating the vehicle needed an ignition cylinder. The consumer stated upon picking up her vehicle, she noticed the air bag light was on as it was not on prior.the consumer was informed to bring the vehicle back at a later date. When the consumer returned, they looked over the vehicle and informed her, they could not fix the air bag light problem as they were not a gm dealer. The consumer also stated the gear lights were not working.

The new pontiac timing gear went out, bending push rods and valves.

New daytime running lights are made very bright and aimed poorly causing poor visibility to oncoming traffic.

When using multi function switch (hazard flasher unit), after turning switch off lights would still be on with smoke coming from the steering column.

Consumer states that he purchased a new pontiac vehicle in which the fuel pump failed while driving, vehicle was only 2 months old when this occurred.

Faulty lamp control module failed, consumer was never notified of recall notice 98v-027, consumer request reimbursement.nlm

Possible abs failure caused the vehicles brakes to pulsate.

There are no starter or alternator shields on the vehicle resulting in overheating and damage to motor and alternator on several occasions.

Pontiac vehicles flow through ventilation system can not be closed off to prevent exhaust fumes of vehicle in front from entering vehicle causing irritation and nausea.
