Airbag light comes on intermittently.dealership is aware of the problem.

Bought my car used in 2006,air bag light has come on a few years later, dealer won't fix it because i don't qualify for recall, tells me car came from canada. Depending on where you check my vin is also registered in the us. My car is now leaking coolant, one repair shop is sure it's the intake gasket, but i can't get this fixed either because it's not under recall yet i did my own research and found millions of people are getting the same problems. I sure wish i could qualify for at least one of the problems i'm having.

While driving 30-35 mph from behind another vehicle was driving 60 mph, and without braking consumer was pushed 20 feet into a utility truck.drivers side air bag came out, but did not deploy, consumer suffered injuries.

Recall 02v222000, air bag module was defective. This vehicle was not in cluded in the recall due to vin.

I own a 2002 pontiac montana and this morning when i started the vehicle the airbag in the front passenger side explode. There is any other owner with the same problem on this 2002 model.

When i turned the key to start my van, the passenger side-impact airbag deployed.the airbag indicator light had been staying on for a few days prior to the deployment.the dealer could not find a cause for the incident and replaced the entire airbag system.

This 2002 pontiac montanahas been owned by us since new. It now will not show a valid quantity of fuel , the gauge shows full most of the time. When it does not it is because it shows empty and the warning bell is ringing. Turning off the car and restarting it stops the bell ringing and the gauge shows full again. I am searching the web to find a fix for this and i find many mentions of the problem by owners who have not fled a complaint with your office. This van also is in need of a heater core replacement, a problem that started last year in early 2008.

Engine stopped without warning while driving a low speed on three seperate times.first time was in the middle ofa right turn after traffic light change to green. The same thing happend a second time as i pull into a gas station.this third time happend as i was looking for parking space in the parking lot. In all three time, the engine stopped without warning and power steering was lost.i was able to stop the car and after restart the engine after shift to park. The dealer could not find anything wrong with the car after each incident as there are no fault code.

I bought 2002 pontiac montana used in dec. 2008.first the radio display went completely out. Then as i was pulling into a parking lot the car shut off by itself... It started back up again but i was in traffic and almost caused three cars to crash. Then i noticed that my driver's side brake light went out, and a week later the passenger side brake light went out. I have bought replacement bulbs and it still does not work (the bar on top is working).the radio/ clock display is just an inconvenience but brake lights... They are important!i am bringing to the dealer today to inspect.i see there are many many complaints for this and should not be overlooked!!!i have my family to protect!

The driver and passenger side brake lights constantly go out.i have spoken to a mechanic and he told me that it is very common for gm vehicles in this model year range to have to replace the lighting bank in the rear of the vehicles on both sides.the bank which contains the brake lights, the back-up lights, and the running lights fails and the brake lights seem to be most affected.i have had to replace my brake lights approximately once a month for multiple years.there have been many near-collisions due to brake lights not operating.the third brake light at the top of the vehicle appears to not be affected by this.

The contact owns a 2002 pontiac montana.while driving at an unknown speed at night, the entire instrument panel dimmed.approximately one year later, the radio light is 2/3 dim.the current mileage is 88,025 and failure mileage was 67,615.updated 11/6/08 the mecahnic informed the consumer the dash circuit board had failed.updated 11/10/08.

Ref erence to complaint odi id number : 10133193. On hot days we areexperiencing the same problem as well. This problem has happened more than once. The garage that we take the vehicle to has not been able to duplicate the problem or figure out as to what waswrong with it. Alsothe vehicle to a dealer, where they have hooked up some sort of recording device, but of course the problem didn't appear. When it didhappen we had to wait at least one hour tothreefor it to finally crank over. We have spent money on the possible fixes, but to no avail. The problem with the heat continuedto occur.

The contact owns a 2002 pontiac montana. The contact stated that sporadically, the vehicle would not start and would not turn over. The battery was replaced by an independent mechanic but to no avail. The contact would allow the vehicle to sit for ten minutes after attempting to start the vehicle. The radio, air conditioner and power windows would operate but the vehicle still would not start. The dealer advised that the failure was due to the anti-theft pass lock switch. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 195,000 and the current mileage was 202,000.

On very hot days, car cranks but doesn't start. After car is at operating temp. Sometines it starts after setting for 5 minutes, last time had to wait over 3 hours. Aaa doesn't understand the problem either.

The contact owns a 2002 pontiac montana.the contact stated that the head gasket and the intake gasket had corroded from a cooling leak.she also experienced overheating and the only coolant that the dealer is telling her to use is dex cool.the contact stated that this type of coolant has been known to cause failures and that there should be some other type of coolant to use.she stated that the power door on the passenger side has signs of corrosion, the fuel gauge is erratic and prevents her from knowing the amount of fuel in the vehicle, the driver side front tire hub is loose, the overhead console for the temperature and compass has failed, and the air conditioning has a hole in the hose.according to the manufacturer, since the contact changed her own oil, that is the reason she is experiencing so many failures.therefore, the manufacturer stated that they are not liable.the vin is unknown.the current and failure mileages were 70,000.

Lower/upper intake manifold gasket failed at 87160 mileshead gasket failed at 142,500 mileslower intake manifold gasket failed at 183170 miles.

Catastrophic engine failure at only 104,000 miles without any warning.probably due to dexcool but unable to participate in class action settlement because failure happened after class action deadline.this is still happening with these gm vehicles but no recall is being issued.in our case, had catastrophic engine failure in the middle of the highway, stranding us in a very dangerous position.

Problem with the head gasket during normal driving condition starting by over heating look like a thermostat problem but is not. Head gasket fail and gas from the cylinders escape to the block of the engine causing to over heat and damage to the engine.

Intake manifold gasket failed and antifreeze was leaking from the gasket.

Lower intake manifold gasket leak.internal leak allowing coolant to contaminate oil.

Engine head gasket leaked.pontiac dealer replaced the head gasket. Pontiac customer service agreed to pay half the cost of the repair.

Intake manifold gasket failed, resulting in coolant leak.replacement of gasket resulting in costly repair at only 52000 miles.

Dt*: the contact stated while the vehicle was being serviced for other issues at an independent dealer; coolant was observed to be leaking at the seal of the intake manifold. The manufacturer was notified.

Intake valve failure causing coolant to leak in engine compartment.could have led to a fire.mechanics say this is a known problem and that gm has redesigned the intake valves that are reused in the repair.several others in this area have had the same problems with this engine, which was used in the grand am cars as well.searches on the web also show that many, many people have had this problem.

We ought the van as a program with 20,000 miles on it,within the first month the power windows would not work all the time meaning sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. Same thing for the interior lights. In the summer of 2003 the air condition developed a sloe leak that progressed within weeks,we now have no air at all and the part aloe is going to cost $400.00. In october of 2003 on our way to a high school football game the transmission went out. There was no warning at all,it had not been leaking or acting up in any way it made a thud sound going down the hiway and that was it..no more transmission $4,000.00 to repair.

I also had the problem with the lower intake valve gasket but instead of one time of paying 5-700.00 to have it fixed i have had to have it done twice and my van only has 84,000 miles on it i know that there are always problems but i think that if this many people have had the same problem that they should do something about it.

Urine odor coming in through ventilation into the interior of the van.dealer supposedly fixed it and problem has occurred for the third time.was told it the coolant is going bad and is leaking into the vents.

Lower intake manifold gasket leak. Internal leak allowing coolant to contaminate oil. Also, the rear bearing replaced. The car only has 47,000 miles.

Assistance (tis request tis03-007115 dgd closed).*mr vehicle had urine odor coming through the vent in the interior of the vehicle.the service dept. Stated the coolant went bad and leaked into the ventilation system. They removed the a/c, heat unit, vent and ducts but the smell returned. Consumer returned the vehicle four days later. Consumer was informed that the problem they've experienced is a nationwide defect with that vehicle.*ph

Coolant is leaking into the ventilation system causing a "urine" smell to enter the passenger cabin. Passengers are coughing and have constant headaches.dealer will replace the ventilation system.

While driving vehicle will just die without warning. The dealership cannot locate the cause of the problem.

Intake manifold gaskets failing after the warranty period, pontiac montana 2002, with a cost of 700.00 plus. Information was sent to all g.m dealers of this defect, with no recall to repair. Class action lawsuit was started in canada for this defect with many failures of this gasket or manifold itself. What can i do? this has not failed yet but will, as it is leaking now. What recourse do i have ?

Radiator needed tobe refilled with coolant every week. Vehicle was taken to dealership, andmechanic determined the intake manifold cracked.

2002 montana gasket was faulty and had to be replaced.*mrtransmission gave out on the minivan.have also had other smaller repairs, which consumer believe were due to manufacturer error.

Contact states:2002 pontiac montana out of warranty.contact took the vehicle in for routine mainteance, oil change, etc.the service department informed contact that the intake manifold was leaking.the service department contacted general motors, and they agreed to pay $200.00 for parts. Contact felt that general motors should be responsible for entire bill. Labor cost was $460.10.

- the contact stated she took the2002 pontiac montana to a mechanic and they noticed that the intake manifold gasket was damaged. The mechanic informed the contact that coolant was leaking onto the exterior of the engine and the oil was leaking into the coolant reservoir. The mechanic informed the contact this was due to a flaw with the intake manifold gasket.the intake manifold gasket was replaced and the coolant system was flushed. The contact has not experienced the problem since the repair. The vehicle currently had 65000 miles.

The van was not equipped with a warning sensor to indicate when the sliding door was closing. This resulted intoddler's foot being trapped in the sliding door when it was closed. The toddler only sustained a scratchbecausehe was wearing winter boots at the time of the incident.

Air conditioning doesn't work, 2) condenser/compressor failed.very costly repair, unae to fix it at this time due to cost.

My van only had 70,000 miles on it when the air conditioner went out on it, i have only purchased gm vehicles and have never seen this so early in the mileage. My repair man is telling me he is seeing this more and more in 02 montana's and it will cost over $900.00 to repair. Will there be a recall on this?

The a/c on my 2002 montana van was blowing warm in april 2006.at that time my van had 54k miles on it.since summer was right around the corner, i brought the van to my mechanic and an a/c leak test was performed.$961.91 later, the a/c condenser was replaced along with the necessary parts for it.(official diagnosis = replace leaking a/c condenser.evacuate and recharge system to specs)august came and once again the a/c was acting up.the air was not very cold and there was a hissing / fluttering noise coming from the vents.i brought the van back to my mechanic.at this time the mileage was 58k.this time it was the rear a/c line/hose that was the problem.my mechanic stated that he typically sees the rear a/c of montana vans having issues first, not the condenser.and he had checked the rear first back in april and it was fine.so, $482.64 later the following had been fixed:"remove & replace leaking rear evaporator feed a/c tube.evacuate and charge system to specs."after reading the other complaints, i feel that there may be a pattern here or at least gm did not use efficient parts when they put the a/c units in these vehicles.

(1) bought vehicle as a certified used vehicle with 20,000 miles on it.just before 32,000 miles, the a/c started blowing warm air.the condenser was replaced due to a crack in it.(2)vehicle now has only about 75,000 miles on it.once again, a/c started blowing warm air.dealer is telling us that condenser has a leak again.as an aside, the dealer says if we pay for replacement it has a lifetime warranty, but previous service under vehicle-warranty does not have a lifetime warranty...inconsistent!

There are modules that we keep having trouble with. They lock & unlock doors while driving, lock in ignition key receiver, turn on air bag warning light and disengage them, show "service engine" light, etc..i am told they control the headlights also. They are a vital part to the car\\'s saftey because they control so many elements of the car. The tranmission has had numerous problem.wheels spin first and then engine locks ina few seconds later. They tried to repair it twice, then we drove just a few blocks from the dealership and had to bring car back (service records do not show this as an additional service) and had too bring it back again a few days later.now we are told that they are putting in a new transmission and refuse to consider the car a lemon because a new transmission is being put in.we have lost confidence in the car and consider it unreliable and unsafe.a new transmission only addresses one of the problems. We want out of the vehicle.it is currently in repair now, and we have had a rental car for almost two weeks.altogether, the car has been in service for about 43 days since we have owned it..just one year!!

Car did not come with an ashtray and none according to the dealer is available in that model this year.what the dealer offered was a place in ashtray to go in the cupholder.this i took as a replacement to the un-offered and not available ashtray.however several weeks after getting this new car i was driving at night andwent to put out my cigarette.because there was no light and the dashboard has no lights in that area my cigarette head hit the front of the cupholder dropping the lit head on the floor.immediate panic ensued resulting in me removing my eyes fron the road to recover the lit head of the cigarette. I asked the dealer if pontiac offered a light for that area and the answer was no,.i verified that with pontiac customer assistance and they said there is not even a smokers package available.i would have not upgraded from my 1998 montana which had an ashtray if i knew it didn't before taking delivery.this is not one of your major cases but should be looked at as a possible fire or safety hazard.

Problem with the head gasket during normal driving condition starting by over heating look like a thermostat problem but is not. Head gasket fail and gas from the cylinders escape to the block of the engine causing to over heat and damage to the engine.

My vehichle is on it's fourth battery and only has 1200 miles . If the van is parked for more than a day then it drains the battery. They can't seem to find the problem. I told them to call the factory for help but i doubt if they will do so.

Rear brakes, reverse and turning light assembly shorts out leaving the vehicle with non working lights in the rear. It has to be a manufacturing defect since i see many vehicles on the road using the same light assembly with the same problem.

Corrosion inside tail lamp assembly has caused both rear brake lights to fail.only center brake light bar is functional.

Stop lamp bulbs are shorting out at connector to sockets. This has happened three times so far. Twice on the left side and once on the right side. The result is a melted base on oem bulbs with plastic bases and an inoerable brake light.frequent failures of stop lamps creates a safety hazard. So far i have replaced three bulbs, cleaned and filed the contacts, applied dielectric grease, and used bulbs with glass bases. One of the plastic base bulbs is available for inspection. There was no indication of contamination from moisture or other sources. Vehicle has not been driven in cold climate or high humidity conditions.

There are 2 main safety concerns with my 2002 pontiac montana thunder minivan.first, the rear driver's side brake light has gone out.even with replacement of bulb and fuse, the brake light will not work.from researching on the internet, this seems to be a design defect and a common problem.this is a major safety issue!!!second, the rear windshield wiper does not work.again, this seems to be a common 2002 pontiac montana problem, and again, is a safety concern.

Brake light stops working on rear driver's side, this has happened three times in less than a year so far.the bulb itself does not burn out but the plastic on the bulb melts on the one side covering the wires.we still have all the bulbs that we replaced if needed for viewing.

Rear brake lights began working intermittently, then failed altogether.

Dt*:the contact stated the rear brake lights burned out continuously, and were replaced 20 times.the vehicle was not inspected by a mechanic.

The brake light on my vehicle does not work all the time. I have had people almost hit me because of this.

Back tail/brake lights allowwater to run into them causing loss of brake lights in rain.

Rear brake lights began working intermittently, then failed altogether.

When the gas tank is 1/2 to almost full, the fuel will thump against the ends of the tank when the vehicle comes to a stop or moves forward. There is an open tac since may 2002 and i have been told that there are more montanas as well as other models involved. No solution as of yet, and i am getting tired or waiting for a solution or for the tank to fail.

Service engine soon light on dash came on. A couple of weeks later i smelled gas and upon inspection found gas leaking from around gas tank fill neck area. In that i was concerned with a potential fire hazard i took it to the nearest gm dealer. Diagnosis was a crack / fracture at the bottom of the fill neck going into the gas tank. As a result the gas tank had to be replaced. I note that this problem is similar or identical to the problem identified in recall # 07v349000. Unfortunately the limited recall does not cover my vehicle. It appears further investigation is appropriate which could expandthe recall.

This 2002 pontiac montanahas been owned by us since new. It now will not show a valid quantity of fuel , the gauge shows full most of the time. Leaking gas tank for 2002 pontiac montana.tank liner is made of plastic.informed that there is a 'national back order" for these tanks.other consuemrs may have similar problems. Leak appeared at 9900 miles.vehicle under mfr. Warranty.

I own a 2002 pontiac montana extended version.i noticed a strong smell of gas coming from the rear of the vehicle and upon further investigation, i found that the fuel tank was wet from gasoline under fuel tank inlet tube.i searched the internet for recalls and found nhtsa campaign # 07v349000 which had the description of the problem i had.i brought the vehicle to the dealership and was initially told that the problem was covered under this recall and the tank was removed and a new gas tank was ordered.i was called by the service manager the next day and i was told that my vehicle was not covered under this recall because it was the extended model and i was told that it could be repaired for $1,100.00.i asked the service manager if this was the same problem that was covered under the recall and he replied that it appeared to be, but that the extended length montana was not covered under the recall.i had the dealership install the old tank and called the manufacturer and received the same answer.

I own a 2002 pontiac montana and the fuel gauge is no longer working properly.it now gives me a reading of either having a full tank of gas or an empty tank of gas.there was no previous warning to the fuel gauge going bad.the incorrect fuel reading occurs at every start up, and the consequences of having an incorrect gauge is the possibility of running out of gas.i have not made a repair as of this time.please look into this issue, as many other owners are having this same issue, and it is apparent that the fuel gauge is faulty.failure occurred in february, 2011.

The contact owns a 2002 pontiac montana. While refueling the vehicle, the contact noticed gasoline overflowing from the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in recall 07e021000 (fuel system, other: storage: tank assembly: pressure relief devices). The vehicle had not been repaired. The current and failure mileages were approximately 95,000.

The contact owns a 2002 pontiac montana.while the vehicle was at the dealer for other maintenance work, the mechanic noticed a coolant leak coming from the intake valve gasket.the mechanic stated that the gasket needed to be replaced.the current mileage was 72,652 and failure mileage was 72,452.

We first noticed fuel smell in the garage. Found a small puddle of gas under the rear of the vehicle. The leak was coming from a crack around the fuel tank inlet. I was not able at that time to take the vehicle in, so i repaired with some epoxy putty. This worked for about 3 months but then it began leaking again.this time i went online to look for replacement fuel tanks. I found a recall for this problem but it states that for the dealer to replace the manufacture date is june thru aug 2002. My vehicle was manufactured 11/2001.

Pontiac fuel tank defect. Customer states that he spoke with the mfr and wants to know why its not a recall**ccconsumer wrote complaint in spanish. Updated 01/07/08.*lj

2002 pontiac montana gas gauge will shoot up to full and then drop to empty at any given time.i never have an accurate reading of how much fuel i actually have.yesterday while at my daughters school i ran out of gas and had to call aaa for fuel to get me to the nearest gas station.i must now set my trip counter at 0 when i fuel up.this could cause a problem if i run out of gas on the highway or something (i have children) maybe even cause an accident.this issue should be addressed by pontiac and a recall be set in place.ifound out it could cost anywhere from 500 to 750 dollars to fix. Ridiculous amount of money.

The fuel tank is leaking around the seal where the elbow connectes,. This seal has been disconutined. The dealership said i would have to replace the fuel tank. I cant afford a new tank. If they cant replace the seal they should have to replace the tank, there has been two recalls on the gas tank on this vehicles. I am lucky that my van didnt catch on fire going down the road with me and two children in the van, we put some putty on it for gas leaks and that has slow the leak down, i have not choice but to drive the van my only way to go, i cant afford to put a new gas tank for 725.00.i dont think it is fair that they can discontiuned a seal like this that and not willing to replace a hazard part like this, i put my life and the girls life in danger everyday we go out in the van but we have not choice.

The failure was related to a crack in the fuel tank inlet check valve. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign id number 07v349000 (fuel system, gasoline:storage), although the failures were identical. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 93,426.also since this happening the gas tank does not read the gas amount correctly, its either full or low on fuel and light comes on.

The contact owns a 2002 pontiac montana. The contact stated that there was an abnormal fuel odor coming from the rear of the vehicle. Upon inspection, the contact noticed that the fuel tank was fractured at the inlet. The vehicle was previously repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Early saturday morning on september 8, 2012, i smelled strong gas fumes in my kitchen which is by my carport. I went outside to check and see where the overwhelming smell was coming from. Time i stepped out the door to my carport where my van is parked, i went to my 2002 pontiac montana minivan and began looking and sniffing around and under it. To my shock and surprise there was a puddle of gas on the ground from gas leaking out of the fuel tank where the inlet connects to the fuel tank. I began to panic and cry because i was afraid of anything that could ignite or start a fire and the exposure to the fumes that would endanger my family. I immediately called my mechanic for help and he can over to look at the problem. He informed me that the valve connection between the inlet and tank was leaking. He then went online to check on a possible part for the fuel tank and came across a recall check. We both read the information and i called pontiac on monday september 10,2012 and explained to them my deepest concern about the leak from my fuel tank. They contacted a dealer and he talked with a area representative, she said my special warranty expired july 27, 2012 for 10 years or 150,000 miles claiming they sent it out in january 30, 2008 in which i never received at all. At the dealer i got a estimated replacement fuel tank price at $800.00 including labor cost. The area representative offered at first $1500.00 toward a new car, then offered to pay half the cost of a fuel tank and labor. I now need advice to move forward with this matter as soon as possible.

The contact owns a 2002 pontiac montana. After the vehicle was driven and parked, the contact noticed a strong odor of fuel emerging from the rear. The contact checked under the vehicle and noticed fuel coming out the side of the fuel tank where the seal was making a puddle on the floor. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: a-31191114851. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 192,000.

The fuel tank inlet check valve can crack and leak recall..i went out to take my kids to school and smelt gas. Looked underneathcan see gas dripping.had it looked it and sure enough hole/crack in fuel tank and now the fuel gauge is not working .checked under the recall and mine is not in it..

My automatic sliding passenger door on my 2002 pontiac montana does not shut properly. When you go to shut the door it closes almost shuttingand opening back up automatically resulting in having to reshut the door have had the door repaired 3 times and it still does not work.

While driving at any speed and with no warning rear sliding passenger's door will open, and consumer will have to pull over to close the door. Dealer notified.

The automatic sliding door caused the passenger to break her wrist. When she put her hand on the handle and pulled it back the door began to slide back. While getting out of the vehicle, the passengers hand was between the handleand door causing the wrist to snap. There is no auto reverse, once it makes contact with an object.*sc

Dt: the contact stated the power sliding doors opened and closed without warning. This occurred intermittently while the vehicle was in use. The contact was concerned for the safety of thechildren riding in the rear seats, where these doors are located. The vehicle has been seen by the service dealer three times for diagnostic testing. However, the problem has never been accurately diagnosed.

Automatic sliding door released and closeda small child's hand in it.as a result, childs hand was stuck in door, and door would not open.consumer had to opendoor from the inside.

Since purchase, have had problems with both passenger sliding doors.the driver's side automatic sliding door would constantly open and close at will.have had repairs done at the dealership on a number occasions.it works for a short period of time and then starts over again.now, i've shut off the automatic feature but the door is very hard to open and close.the passenger side automatic door got stuck in the open position.after finally forcing it closed and shutting off the automatic feature, the door will not open at all.in light of the number of people having constant problems with these doors, gmc should be forced to have a recall and replace the door motors so they work properly before someone gets killed with these doors which open and close without warning.

The contact owns a 2002 pontiac montana.while closing the sliding door the contact's son reached into the vehicle and it closed on his hands.she was unable to open the door once it closed.the fire department had to open thedoor. The failure caused bruising and swelling on both of his hands.the contact stated that therewereno sensors on the sliding door to detect motion.the dealer has not inspected the vehicle.the current and failure mileages were 50,000.

1) all four doors (minivan) both the driver, passenger and both sliding door latches and lock assemblies are defective. Doors do not always latch when closed and also will open during operation of the vehicle. Have had both cases of doors not latching when trying to close and also open during operation. Dealer has replaced all four latches at my cost with no consideration to the real problem of a defect.below i have indicated on incident date, but has occurred many times.have contacted pontiac but have received no satisfaction.

Passenger side wheel bearing failure - grinding.

2002 montana gasket was faulty and had to be replaced.*mrtransmission gave out on the minivan.have also had other smaller repairs, which consumer believe were due to manufacturer error.

The transmission is out of my 2002 pontiac montana van with only 52,000 miles on it.i have already put 4 new tires on it and also new brakes and shoes all around.this all happened when there was 35,000 on the van.

Transmissionfailed at 60,00 miles.

I purchased a pontaic montana from rogers pontaic in chicago in march 2002. In may of 2003 i begin to experience trouble with the transmission. The frist occasion occured in may of 2003.(repaired,but the vechicle did not operate the way i thought it should) i took it back to the pontaic dealer - grossinger in lincolnwood, il. But, they said everything was ok) the second being november of 2003. ( the repair work done was great! the vechicle worked as good as when it was first purchased) but, i have begun to experience the same symptoms as before here in august 2004. This has led me to believe that a defect is in the transmission of this vechicle. My only solution would be for the manufacturer (pontaic - gmc) toreplace the vechicle with a new one. I do not want to continually have the transmission repaired. After the warranty has expired, i will have to pay the cost of a defect that has been happening since the vechicle was purchase.

My family took our van on a week long vacation to florida while i stayed at home.right after they left my wife called to say that the abs light was on in the dash.i called a local mechanic to get an idea of how bad the problem might be and he indicated that it should not be too bad but get it looked at when they return from the trip.upon her return my wife took it in the the dealership where we purchased the van and they replaced a bearing in the right rear axle hub area of the vehicle.since the van had approximately 40,451 miles on it we were told that this fell outside of the miles covered by the manufacturer.although, it was still within the 3-yrs of covered warranty just not covered by the miles we paid for the repair. Asked the dealership about this repair and they stated that this was normal wear for this part of the country and the types of roads in this area.i told them that i did not like that answer.they told me that if i felt i had a complaint i could follow the procedure in the back of the owners manule.to which i have done:phone callletter to gmfollow-up phone call to gmnow nhtsa.

The seat belt on the drivers seat comes unlatched without any cause or warning while driving down the road.the seat belt is checked and double checked each time it is latched and it passes as being latched.while driving down the road the seat belt latch releases the seat belt causing the driver to become distracted from the road.general motors and its dealer do not think this is a problem therefore will not replace the defective seat belt or its componets to make the vehicle safe to drive.

Problems with vehicle windows fogging up. *mr the consumer's wife was driving where she felt a draft on her legs and set the recirculation mode to inside air and set the blower on #two.all of a sudden, all of the windows fogged up.the blower was turned on high, the defroster were turned on which cleared the windshield.the dealer suggested that something was wrong with the heating/cooling system.the consumer was advised that the recirculation mode should not be used unless the temperature was extremely warm and should always be on fresh air mode.(this was not stated clearly in the owners manual) *scc

Since i bought my 2002 montana mini van as a new vehicle on 11-02-2001, i have had problems with the windshield.the problem started as a startling, loud cracking noise which occurred randomly over the first two years.since then, the windshield leaks during heavy rainstorm; water streams out of ceiling-mounted boxes such as my temperature/compass box and the onstar antenna.the dealer, performance pontiac which then sold out to anderson gmc in hunt valley, has tried to repair the windshield seal twice, the first time during the 36 month warranty period.both repairs were free of charge, but did not correct the problem.i just took the van in for a third time, and the dealer now says they cannot find any leak but will replace the windshield at a charge to me of more than $300.i believe this is a manufacturer's defect and i should not be charged.i have put up with water leaking all over as i'm driving, discolored ceiling, and a musty smell for years.

Windshield wiper stopped working, wiper bearly takes the snow and pushed it between hood and windshield, forming a buildup of ice that slows the wiper from working. Was told it was an engineering problem.

Consumer complained about windshield wiper problem. Windshield wipersworked on high speed.however, when on a low speed windshieldwipersstopped working.consumer statedit was due tocircuit board corrosion.

Owner purchased an after market rim which cracked without hitting anything. When viewing from the inside the crack was visible. Speedy ,the rim mfr. Refused to pay for shipment of the damaged rim. Provide further details.
