My four year old child can pull the shoulder harness clip apart without disengaging (squeezing) the clip compenents together.both harness clips on the 2 integrated child seats(front bench) can be pulled apart.both clips were replaced by dealership on 8/2/02, yet continue to be defective.dealership said it does it with other car seats that were tested on lot and did not feel it was a safety concern.alyssa deseris, child seat inspector from bucks county highway safety program inspected the seats and felt that this is a major defect and safety issue.she can be reached at (215) 491-9260. The service manager reported concern to chrysler representative, mike cantrell.i have not heard back from chrysler since i made my complaint with service manager on 8/15/02.i feel the harness clip is a cheap piece of plastic that will only get worse with wear and will easily come apart on its own.the harness clips on other non-integrated child seats are larger and do not disengage without squeezing clips together (ie. Century and costco).

My vehicle hit the rear of a jeep cherokee at approx. 10 mph. I stopped and exited the vehicle to look at the damage and found practically nothing.the engine compartment then burst into flames and destroyed the entire front of the van. Purchased 2000 chrysler voyager minivan from david stanley dodge in midwest city, ok. On september 22, 2005, the vehicle caught on fire in the inside of the vehicle, in the rear near the speaker compartment. Luckily the fire extinguished itself and no further damage to the vehicle other than the speaker and melting of wires around speaker. No injuries. Investigated vehicle fires on similar vehicles and found the 2001 and 2002 chrysler/dodge minivans were recalled for fire stemming from a manufacturing defect where the on certain mini vans, condensation from the instrument panel air conditioning ducts may drop through vent holes in the top of the radio and result in a short circuit that subsequently sends direct current to the rear speakers. (directly from recall notice) the recall notice was nhtsa campaign id number : 04v531000 obviously what occurred with my van is exactly as described in this recall, the air conditioning unit was running and also the radio was turned on however my vehicle was not recalled due to this defect. When i took the vehicle to david stanley dodge located at 7609 se 29th street, midwest city, ok 73110 (405)737-3700 "nick" was my service advisor. Although nick was helpful, they contacted chrysler and denied any claim or responsibility and would not even look at the vehicle to ensure its safety! i now feel unsafe driving this vehicle for further problems. Thank you for you time in this matter!

While driving at any speed and with out warningvehicle stalled in the middle of the highway.this problemoccurred three times.each timedealer examined the vehicle, but could not resolve the problem.

Over the past 5 years - since the replacement my serpentine belt on my 2000 chrysler voyager has popped off 4 or 5 times. Since our local dealer is no longer here i had to pay $93.21 today to have the belt put back. The mechanic checked the belt and tensioner and found both in practically brand new condition and good working order. He could not find a reason why it would come off. Each time it has come off was after a rain. In researching this problem online i found that it has happened a lot to many others also. My former dealer's mechanics also could not explain why this occurs. This is a dangerous situation that needs a quick and permanent solution since all the power controls such as steering are managed by this one belt. Once out you no longer have any power assisted steering.updated 06/30/11 updated 07/01/11

I have a 2000 chrysler mini van and my serpentine belt keeps coming off when it rains.this has happened 4 times in one year.they have replaced the belt and fixed the tensionerits in the shop right now and waiting for a belt kit to fix the problem (gates system kit).why isn't there a recall on this problem?

We purchased the vehicle because it only had 21,486 at three years old and they called it certified. When the air conditioning went out they refused to even reimburse us part of it because we did not have the extended warranty. We have the powertrain a this point until 70,000 miles. We have had engine knocking, which our mechanic added an additive to and seemed to go away but now at the end of august seems to be returning. The tires were terrible at what seemed to us to be low mileage. We had sensors that went and caused the transmission to downwshift so our mechanic repaired. We have submitted that one bill to chrysler because it turns out it was a powertrain issue on that. We have not received reimbursement yet. When the brakes went metal to metal totally without warning on august 23 we began to wonder if our odometer had been turned back before we bought it but are now thinking it is just a very cheap, shoddy vechicle and we are so sorry we have bought it and wasted this much money on it. We went back to the dealer, suncoast chrysler plymouth when the air went out and they refused to do anything. We went back again to the general manager at the end of august trying to find a way to get out of this and get our money back or at the very least help with the extremely expensive brake repair and they said there is nothing they can do. The engine does not sound good now so we are expecting anything to happen next.

I have a 2000 voyager whose a/c unit has completely died. I will have to replace the system at a cost of starting $1,200.00 plus replacing the belts. I have 75,000 miles on it. I do drive my car which is only two year old. If you check in the the history of my car you will see that i have had many problems: leaking engine, tire replaced at 30,000 miles, battery 2x, pullie replace, break switch, sun clips 2x and still broken etc.

The contact owns a 2000 chrysler voyager.while driving 15 mph, the fan belt disengaged when driving through a puddle of water.the vehicle lost power.the dealer replaced the fan belt.the failure occurred on two occasions.the dealer stated that the water would cause the fan belt to hydroplane.the vin was unknown.the failure mileage was 30,000 and current mileage was 119,000.

Heater fan constantly runs hard.thermostat often moved inred. Vehicle was being driven 4-5 months without any antifreeze toengine.vehicle wa sluggish, and no power was getting to engine.thermostat was black and had burned sealing itself close. Was replaced witha new thermostat.

Cam shaft sensor failed abruptly and all engine power steering and power brakes were lost.

During a very heavy rain, i hit a big puddle which caused the serpentine belt to come off the pulleys. My mechanic said it is a common problem with this vehicle. The result is no power steering, no alternator to charge the battery and no water pump to cool the engine. I drove it until the temp gauge showed hot and then shut it down. No major damage resulted. Mechanic put belt back on for $15.00.135k miles on vehicle and is very dependable.

Serpentine belt repeatedly comes off.replacing idler pulley, tensioner pulley, and belt remedies the situation for 6 months or so.the problem is so prominent in other vehicles with the same engine that gates and goodyear sell a kit that will permanently fix chrysler's goof up.failure results in loss of power steering and loss of battery charging.vehicle continues to run until the battery dies.

The contact owns a 2000 chrysler voyager. While driving in excessive rainy conditions, he noticed that the battery light appeared on the dashboard and the vehicle no longer had power steering.there were no prior warnings and the current and failure mileages were 89000.updated 12/07/09 theserpentine belt was replaced. Updated 12/09/09

Serpentine belt comes off while driving in or after a rain or after snow melts, wet road conditions.this belt controls the power steering and is almost impossible to steer, except straight.the females in my family can not control this vehicle.

The contact owns a 2000 chrysler voyager. The engine serpentine belt was replaced july 2009 when the vehicle was taken to the garage for routine maintenance. Less than one month later, the serpentine belt failed. One month later, the belt completely fractured from the vehicle while driving 25 mph. The vehicle was towed to a local mechanic where the serpentine belt was replaced. The failure mileage was 95,000 and the current mileage was 111,000.

Dt*:the contact stated while driving through a residential area in rainy weather, there was a loss of steering without warning.the vehicle was pulled over and inspected.there was extreme heat present under the hood area.it was towed to an independent repair shop for further inspection.the mechanic determined the serpentine belt disengaged and contributed to the steering problem.the mechanic reinstalled the serpentine belt.the manufacturer was alerted.

The contact owns a 2000 plymouth voyager.when the roads were wet and the contract drove through standing waterthe serpentine belt would slip offthe vehicle.the failure mileage was 39876.the vehicle was towed to a dealer four times, and the dealer replaced the belt.however, he couldnot diagnose the cause.the current mileage was 78904.

While driving at 45 mph, thesteering wheel began to get stiff.the vehicle had to be towed.tsb#090600.during heavy rain, the consumer lost the ability to steer and applied the brakes to avoid a collision.when the consumer checked under the hood, he saw that the serpentine belt had come completely off.the dealer told the consumer that this was a common problem due to the manufacturer removing the shield that would have prevented the incident. *scc

Failure of idler pulley on motor causing major repairs, destroying new timing belt, tensioner pulley damage to transmission, spark plugs and other damage and a $500 towing bill across state. Van is still in shop after 2 weeks and mechanic says new part looks different as if old design was bad and changed and to contact area rep. And file complaints.

While driving, consumer smelt an odor coming from the airvents.the dealership indicated the cause of theodor, was as aresult of the catalytic converter burning out. The dealership replaced the part, but now there was a metal to metal odor, coming from the inside and outside of the vehicle. The dealership indicated that dueto the catalytic converter burning out, it caused the exhaust manifold to have a crack in it.pleaseprovide more details. Ts

My van (plymouth voyager 2000) stalled in the middle of an intersection. I was unable to start it and had to be towed in to an auto center. After a review, i was told that the tensioner unit that housed the timing belt broke into pieces. The shop called the dealership and was informed that they knew of the defect and has already constructed a replacement unit for the van. When asked if there was a recall on the defective part, they were told no. My husband called two dealerships and was told the same by both. "as of yet, there is no recall on the defective part." i would have to pay for the replacement part. The total cost of the work done was $836.77. I do not understand why i have to pay for a part that is known by the manufacturer to be defective.

Air condition is leaking coolant inside the vehicle on the floorboard, causing a bad odor.

Dt: air conditioner compressor cuts on and off intermittently.happens when the car is in motion and while parked.taken to mechanic, and mechanic stated that it was a manufacturing defect.

Left rear automatic sliding door. The pressure you have to use is incredible to stop it. I have a 4 and 7 year old . If one of them happened to be inthe way when the door was closing it would crush them. I myself as a 160 lb adult ,have to push with both my hands and force to get it to retract.

Six times in the last week van has stalled. 5 when turning and once while at a stoplight. Unable to duplicate for the dealer. Not fixed.6. While there for the stalling, had them look at the recall for airbag because the light stays on longer than all the others, they said it was fine and didn't need to be fixed.....these are a few of the things i can remember. I will also remember not to buy another chrysler.

The problem started in may of 2003, originally. I bought the vehicle a 2000 plymouth voyager from a dealership in june 2003.it had 52,400 miles on it when i purchased it.i travel a lot mostly highway and put approximately 7800 miles on the vehicle since i bought the van.i noticed a leak on the ground in mid-october. Before this i had noticed on three occasions mostly in the morning that the van would hesitate and no go forward when i stepped on the gas, then it would lunge forward, the same happened a couple of times when i tried to go in reverse. I thought it was because i had not warmed the van up in the a.m. Then i noticed the leak and i took it to the nearest garage. I was told it was a transmission leak.they looked at it and said it had been fixed before and that my engine was soaked with transmission fluid. The clamps that were on the hoses were two big and the transmission pan was not put in correctly. I called the chrysler dealer ship and they stated they could not give me any documents regarding the repairs that the previous owner had done. However, the service man did say that they had the vehicle in may of 2003 because of leaks from the hoses of the transmission. They put new clamps on and that seemed to fix the problem.the day after i had the clamps done in october the van would not go into gear, then it would lunge forward. I would try to go forward and it would go backwards. I nearly got in to accidents getting it to the dealer. I took it to the chrysler dealership in bangor and they told me i needed a new transmission. It is actually a rebuilt one. It is costing me $2,525 total.i have looked into this a lot and this appears a common problem with this vehicle.

The transmission has a filter that is housed at the bottom of the transmission.the plastic device that holds the filter breaks, and while driving it falls off, making the transmissiondefective. The o ring and filter were replaced.it fell into the pan.*sc

While driving home in a school at 20 mph the van shifted from drive to nuetral and back to drive . I thought van was killing after hearing a weird noise and looked to see the panel had registerd a problem and thats when i saw it shift from neutral to drive. When i got haome i called the dealer to bring it in and to set up a rental for me . When i got there he said they would only pay for i day of rental, and they would put the van through test and if they could not duplicate the problem then i can coome pick it up. I don't want to drive something that has not been cleared safe for my family and would like to return the vehicle it they can't find a problem.

Gears could be shifted without pressing the brake pedal. The gear selector was bumped while the vehicle was parked and the key was in the ignition's auxiliary mode.as a result the vehicle rolled backward, hit the consumer and rolled over her hip/thigh.the emergency brake was not engaged at the time of the accident.

A pin slipped from the transmission, which caused it to fail.

While driving 65 mph vehicle suddenly downshifted a couple of gears, went from 65 to 35 in a matter of moments. Vehicle experiences a loud thump in the engine compartment, dealer has not been able to correct problem.malfunctioning electric door locks.malfunctioning electric windows.incorectly shifting transmision.keyless entry failure.dash gauges fail.poor gas mileage.wind whistling through failed window seal.

Transmission has failed 4 times causing vehicle to loose power in dangerous situations.

While drivingvehicle felt like it was in netral gear, then it cut off. Transmission went. Replacedtransmission, butproblem reoccurred. This was a common problem.

There was a delay in engaging gears. Vehicle jumped forward or backward unexpectedly. Took vehicle to dealer, dealer stated transmission needed replacing.

I was driving 35 mph when the engine made a loud noise. It acted like it was in neutral, and would not go anywhere,it then jumped forward and seemed to be fine, then it did it again and would not move. I had it towed over by aaa to hall the next day.they informed me that the transmission was gone at 50,800 miles and the warrenty only covered 3/36,000 mile. I was less than three years since i purchased the van. They had to replace the transmission. I followed the b schedule of service and had the transmission fluid and filter change at 46,000 miles. The schedule b in my owners mannual says 48,000 miles. The services manager says that it should be changed at 36,000 miles.

I have a 2000 plymouth voyager.i purchased it brand newin 12/00.i expereince a problem when shifting from park to reverse to drive.from a parked position, i put the vehicle in reverse and proceed to back up.once i have completed backing out, i put the vehicle in drive to (attempt) go forward.the vehicle is in drive, however the vehicle continues to go in reverse (several feet).i have tried shifting to overdrive, neutral, and parkhowever the vehicle still continues to move in reverse.i have had the vehicle to the dealership 5 times and the problem still hasn't been resolved.this is a severe hazard as i have almost had several accidents, assuming the my vehicle should be moving forward when in drive.the service manager does not want to admit there is a problem, he blames it on me not putting my brake all the way down.i advised him that despite the position on my brake if the vehicle is in drive it should move forward or if it is in park it should not move at all.the vehicle eventually moves forward, but not until it is ready.my transmission fluid is clean and full. My mileage now is approx 25471.the vehicle is used for personal use only.

I bought this vehicle in 8-03, secondhand from a dealership in ny. In the last 2 weeks, i have had trouble with the transmission losing power and starting to lose fluid.in route to a dr's appt. With my pregnant daughter and her 5 yr. Oldthe trans. Started to slip and lunge forward. I stopped the vehicle and checked the trans. Was empty of fluid after 20 miles from home. Added 4 qts. Of fluid only to go another 10 miles and the trans. Was doing it again. To the garage only to find out the trans. Casing was blown out and no fluid.mechanic told me this was a very common problem with this trans. To no avail, no trans. To be found in ny state. To get another trans it is going to cost me $1500-$2000. I will not buy another chrysler voyager.i will do better homework next time.

Transmission would not shift gears, vehicle was losingpower, andcheck engine light was coming on. Consumer has been to dealer 3 times.

Transmission failure, 2000 voyager transmission seized while being driven on main st., at 40,000 miles. Replaced at cost over $3000.the consumer is seeking restitution for these repair costs. *sc

I purchased a new 2000 plymouth voyager minivan in november of 1999.in january 2002, at 38,000 miles, the transmission failed, stranding me on the side of the road.a local chrysler dealer diagnosed the cause as a failed torque converter. The torque converter, as well as several other transmission components, were replaced.in january 2003, at 55,000 miles, a transmission fluid leak was noticed.the same dealer repaired transmission fluid lines and seals, and changed the transmission fluid and filter.in november 2003, at 75,000 miles, the transmission failed again, leaving my children and i stranded on the roadside at night.another chrysler dealer diagnosed the problem as a second failed torque converter. *nlm

My van started emitting a whisling sound after the warranty of 30,000 milesran out at 40,000 miles and eventually the transmission doesn't want to shift.i took it to the dealer and the owner said that he will eat the cost but i found out that they had sold my wife an extended warranty.now at 103,000, its doing the same thing of not shifting.the dealer said that we need to pay for the replacement.

Transmission would not engage into reverse while vehicle was cold.finally, transmission started slipping out of gear when slowing down causing vehicle to stall.stalling started on reported incident date. Ts

While driving the transmission blew out.the consumer managed to pull over and had the vehicle towed.the dealerships mechanic was notified but did not resolve the problem.

Chrysler/plymouth/dodge dealer replaced transmission coolinghoses and clamps using clamps as per chrysler service bulletin 07-006-1.nhtsa technical service bulletin 632201 refers.clamp part number 04596424aa came lose while traveling on i-65 going through louisville,ky causing the auto to stall.all the transmission fluid was blown onto the auto and engine compartment.fortunately i was able to manuver to a place out away from the flow of heavy traffic.the auto was towed and repaired three days later.failed parts are retained by me.

Vehicle shifted into reverse by it self after idling in park for about 30 seconds, it rolled back causing the driver's door (which was open) to hit the bumper of a parked car thus damaging the door and the left front fender.i personally saw and heard the moment the vehicle shifted into reverse, i was about 20 feet away from the vehicle when i saw the back up lights come on and the vehicle start to roll back.

While parked 2 year old child put vehicle in gear without applying brakes, and vehicle rolled forward, hitting another vehicle. Dealer contacted.

Vehicle does not haveautomatic transmission : interlock system.vehicle can be placed into gear withoutbrakes being applied. Manufacturer is sending a warning label to consumers to let them know about this problem. *ml

Child was able to shiftgear shifter into drive without applyingbrakes, causingvehicle to move unexpectedly.dealer has been notified.

While engine was on and parking pawl in park position vehicle started rolling without warning, andcrashed into a garagewith pawl still in park.

Consumer is concerned that vehicle can be put into gears by 2 year oldwithout applyingbrakes.please give any further details.

Vehicle was in park position with engine running when it rolled backwards, hitting a vehicle, when this happened the key could not be removed . This occurred 3 times. Vehicle was not registeringpark gear.

Consumer's toddlerwas able to disengage vehicle from park to reverse without depressingbrake pedal, causing the vehicle to roll backwards, andresulting in an accident, injuring one occupant outside of vehicle . Consumer has contacted the manufacturer. This accident occurred because the vehicle is not equipped with an interlock safety feature.

Checking under hood when vehicle was in park. When turned key to start engine the vehicle "sliiped" into neutral and ran back over me causing major injury.i believe in newer vehicles the interlock has been removed which may have prevented this accident, is this a true statement?

I have a two year old that put this car into drive while i was putting my four yr old in his car seat.i would have never bought this vehicle had i known that this vehicle could go into gear without having your foot on the brake.i now ask everyone who drives one of these vans if they knew that they could do that - they are as amazed as i am that this is allowed.this is an accident waiting to happen. I am enraged at their nonchalant attitude concerning this - there should be warnings on the vehicle.i even called the dealer to see if it was supposed to be like that.his response was well you just have to make sure the emergency brake is on at all times - thanks for not telling me that when i purchased the car.

Vehicle was in drive when it slipped into neutral. Also, when making a right turn, the gear shifts back to drive, and one mile later lurched forward while stopped.dealer was unable to duplicate the problem.

Vehiclecan be shifted into drive without foot beingonbrake. Chrysler has not made a decision toadd aninterlock devicetovehicle. Consumer has to pay for the device.

My wife stopped to pickup our 6 y/o son from the babysitter. She put the van in park and left the van running. (the rest of the event was seen by my wife and the babysitter) my 3 y/o son climb out of his car seat , from the rear seat. He climbed into the driver seat and put the van in gear without pressing the brake. The van began to move forward down the street, picking up speed. Wife tryed to catch the van to stop it. Luckly my son turned the steering wheel to the left. The van jumped the curb and ran into a mobile home.every car i have driven, you must press the brake before the car will go into gear. The dealer didn't tell us of this feature. We would have bought another model(we have 3 kids). What i need to know is :being able to put the van into drive without pressing on the break , a safty recall?

Transmission acting sluggish whenair conditioner was on felt like slipping. Took in said nothing was wrong (while under warranty). After warranty- transmission went out, had to rebuild transmission. 8 months later transmission out again overhaul transmission.

On several occasions, i noticed the seatbelt holding my son's carseat in place had come unlatched.to the best of my knowledge, nothing was done to cause it to open.i own a 2000 plymouth grand voyager and recently read that apparently, this is a problem with my vehicle and its generation 3 seatbelts.i contacted a dealer this morning to request replacement of the 7 seatbelts and was told they don't do that.i was asked if there was a problem with them and i mentioned that they had spontaneously unlatched and that i'd been reading of problems with that type of seatbelt.i was then told that that was a legal issue and i needed to contact the corporate office, which i will do this afternoon.

I own a 2000 plymouth voyager.the seat belt in my middle seat on the drivers side spontaneously releases.this is the seat i had my 6 month old infant in.after the 4th time in a 3 week period i switched my son to a different seat. *nlm

My husband was installing my son's car seat. When he grabbed the shaft of the seat belt (the part attached to the floor), it came completely out. Apparently the metal part that is attached to the seat is completely gone. The dealership is telling me i'm responsible for buying a new seat because my warranty is expired.

I would like to have the generation 3 seat belts recalled in the chrysler cars and vans as the latches protrude and may be unsafe. *nlm

I own a 2000 chrysler mini van and on two occasions the seat belt have released while i was still parked in my driveway.on both occasions i was reaching over to get something from the passenger seat and the buckle came undone.i thought i had not secured it properly because my arm hit the lock on the seat belt.now i find out today that i may have hit the buckle but it should not have popped open as there is a defect in the seat belt.even thought it is a 2000 model i do not have the gen 4 type of belts in the front.the van must have been manufactured in the late 1999. *nlm

Consumer stated the seat belt in the rear middle seat, won't stay buckled.cause unknown.ts

Chrysler refuses to fix my belts as of when this complaint is being filed.

My 4 year old son's car seat is belted into the middle seat, directly behind the drivers seat. On a minimum of 3 occassions the seatbelt from the voyager seat has dislogged while the vehicle has been in motion. I did not know that it dislogged until the vehicle was stopped & i would go to remove my son from his car seat which he is belted in also. I thought that other people that were sitting in the middle seat were accidentally releasing the voyager seat belt;but it has happened when only my son has been in his car seat & no one else in the middle seat. Nlm

When fastening seatbelt it loosens up and rides upconsumer'sneck.it's different from all the other seat belts. Consumer feels this seat beltis unsafe because it does not stay onconsumer'swaist,it goes up underthe arm.

Rear seat belts do not catch (stop letting out belt) when brake applied. This is an issue caught as part of a massachusetts mandatory yearly inspection which cause the vehicle to fail. Chrysler dealership has indicated it can be fixed for a charge of at least $82.

The drivers seat reclined backwards while driving.

Chrysler voyager 2000, impact of crash causedthe seat of driver to collapse onto back seat.

Vehicle was rear ended while at a complete stop. Upon impact, both front seat backs snapped and collapsed backwards, causing the driver to fall backwards;his foot slipping off thebrake pedal. Vehicle careened across the street onto a field 150 foot away. Driver was not injured. However, the passenger was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

I bought the van used in late sept. 2002 with 22,000 miles on it.did not buy ext. Warranty.by the time i used the1.ac in the spring it didn't work, warranty was expired. Replaced compressor, not at the dealer, then found out evaporator was bad too. No more money, still driving with no ac.2. Horn didnt work. I paid to fix it.3. Have replaced brakes twice in 3 years. Abs light was on for 6 months then went off.4. Intermittent problem ..door locks go up and down by themselves, while there are bells dinging, and the interior lights flash on and off all at the same time. Look like some kind of christmas tree on wheels going down the road. Unable to duplicate for the dealer. Not fixed.5.

The transmission goes into gear without depressingthe brake.the guide plates had damaging spots. *tc the brakes had excessive clearance and damaged the trailing edge.the vehicle would be in operation at a stop on a slight incline, the gear was in drive, with the foot removed from the brake and the vehicle would roll backwards;(the same for reverse), the lens covers on the vehicle have yellowed and or had become opaque. In re:2000 chrysler voyager and a 1998 plymouth grand voyager *sc

On 11/05 the dealer replaced the master cylinder because it was leaking.i now notice it is leaking again. The fire wall is all rusted, i don't know what damage is being done from the fluid dripping down.

On a 2000 plymouth voyager with 14 inch wheels (non-abs), when replacing the front brake pads i noticed that the brake caliper piston was cracked and chipped in numerous places at the outer edge and there were small pieces of the metal piston missing - the missing metal were the size of m&m's.no noticeable problem was detected with the brake pad backing or the rotor.no force was used to remove the caliper or the pad - so this must have happened just while in service.this was only on the passenger side.

The serpentine belt comes off causing the power steering to fail, and the alternator not to work.this has occurredoff and on since the vehicle was new.this failure occurs in motion when the streets are wet and a bit bumpy.

I have plymouth voyager se 2000 6 cyl.hile i was pulling my car out of the parking lot. I heard some noise which somethings hitting the ground. It sounded like metal hitting the ground.after i stop the car, i found out that whole system including power steering wheel tensioner and belt fallen apart.i was so shocked by the fact that the bolt which was connected to the car body could be just broken like that.i was so terrified if this thing happended while i was driving what might happened. I probably be dead by now.

Driver's side rear sliding door has powe locks. When the power lock button is pressed it remains unlocked. Sliding doorwas suppose to automatically lock ifthe doorwas closed. Door will only lock manually.

When either sliding door is closing, my children have been caught by the action of the door closing shut.i suggest having this very dangerous situation corrected before someone gets seriously injured.also, not only should the door have a sensitivity sensor but kids could get their fingers caught in the bottom roller section and get their toes or fingers severed off.also the remote to open the doors is to sensitive.when tossing your keys into a purse or on the floor,it will trigger the doors closed when you least expect it.

The bolts on the tailgate broke off, causing it to fall of the vehicle. Manufacturer will be contacted by consumer.

Just informed from mechanic that my front strut towers are rusted through.driver side is completed rotted away and passenger side should happen after this winter.my 2000 plymouth voyager has under 60,000mile and has only 2 owners. I have researched that this is way too frequent in voyagers from 1996 to at least 2000 for their not be a mandate recall on this.the repair cost can cost up to $3000 which most people cannot afford.through my internet research, i am aware that chrysler issued some sort of suggested fix for the problem in 1992 but not a recall.this is a serious problem and i know if at least 6 people personally that are having the same problem.something needs to be done!

Rust has been developing on top of the drivers side front rust tower for several years.having just taken auto classes became aware that this is a problem that affects safety.dealers have not mentioned it in the past (while under rust protection warranty).the car is running fine presently, but this is going to be a safety issue when the strut tower separates from the rest of the car due to rust.this is a design flaw for this car.i have been told that is common.there is already a tsb on it (23-044-02).the repair will cost $1,000.i have asked chrysler for assistance on it and they will not provide any.i have not had the repair work done yet.there is no date of incident, this has existed for at least 5 years, but been unreported.

Ball joints factory installed with no grease fittings dried out with no way to lubricate.causing popping, knocking noise under front end of plymouth voyager.this was found after an accident where the front end of vehicle was off in a ditch.mechanic had overlooked this issue earlier and the joint broke on that customer.this was not the cause of my accident but mechanic had seen it before and spotted it immediately.i could not locate anything on the web site regarding this issue.i do not feel like i should have to pay for this repair.chrysler should know better.

Front left strut tower corrosion, it is rusting badly and could fail at high speeds. There was a tsb a few years ago #23-044-02. I believe that because of this defect that affects 1996-2000 mini vans my family is in danger.
