Crossover pipe on engine manifold has had a leak due to rust on the underside of pipe. I have had order in at the dealer in corpus christi for over 6 mos and now that y inspection sticker is out i have been told by the dealer parts department that the part is not in stock and not being made for my van. Also i was advised to go to a local junk yard for the part.the junk yardhas never had this crpssover pipe in their yard that could be used. I have had to have this crossover pipe patched so i can drive my van i am a disabled person who usesa hoverround wheelchair and it has been realgood to drive a plymouth voyger this is the third one i have owned and this is the only problem i have had i am very upset that my ven cannot be repaired correctlyit is a 98 model and i feel that it is not so old that it has to be junkedbecause the partcannot be replaced by the dealer. The only problems that you seem to be concerned with are accidents. I will not be able to drive this van in the state of texas without a emission repairto get the safety sticker . I do not feel that crysler does not have the responsibility to provide replacement parts for a van no older than this one it is a 1998 plymouth grand voyager [xxx] mfg date 3-98. My van is in execelent condition and looks like newi am very upset with crysler and my dealer as they offered me no proper was to resolve this problem. Only a junk yard or a patch job anywhere i might be able to have it done. Updated 07/24/2012 information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

While driving back to work from lunch in february 2005, i heard a loud boom noise coming from the front of my vehicle. I had to pull over and the van quit. I looked underneath the van and all the transmission fluid had leaked out. The repairman said that the differential on the transmission had blown out. He said a it had blown a hole in the case.he said this was a very common problem among the chrysler vehicles. He see this often. I had to pay 1784.58 to have this repaired.i first went back to the chrysler dealer to see if there were any recalls since i was told this happens often. I was told that since my warranty had expired they would not repair this at no charge to me. They were going to charge me about 2400.00 dollars. The vehicle had 79189 miles at the time. I spoke to someone at the nhtsa and was told the vehicles doesn't have a high ratio of reports filed. Since it didn't seem to me anything would be done about this i waited to file this report. Although when i first spoke with the respresentattive i saw 29 reports filed. Today i see 21. Are all the reports being throughly investigated.this was very dangerous as well as costly. The representive from chrysler said this often happens when it rains. I paid over 14,000.00 for a vechile and i cannot drive in the rain. I would like chrysler to reimbuse me for the money spent.

Our plymouth voyager rolled down the hill when it was in park.

Over the last several months i've noticed a significant difference in the performance of our mini-van.while i had my truck at the mechanics last week, i popped the hood to our van and had him take a look at it.his response to what he saw was terrifying!the tower that supports the strut on the front/driver's side of the van is completely rusted.according to the mechanic, the auto body shop person we consulted, and according to the dealership this is not normal deterioration for a vehicle that is only 8 years old.we were told that chrysler will do nothing to assist us in the problem because our vehicle is no longer under manufacturer's warranty, although they also agreed that it was not typical for a vehicle to have this happen.right now we're a family of 5 with one income and cannot afford a $1200+ repair to a vehicle that was apparently flawed from the get-go.

Suspension failure.
