There is a problems with either the electrical or fuel system in my 1990 plymouth grand voyager. As i am driving down the road at a speed from 35mph on up to 65mph, my van has a "hiccup". It feels like someone either turns the ignition switch off or steps hard on the brake. It feels like it jerks inside but i cannot tell if it jerks on outside. It does not happen ever time driving. It has been looked at and no problems have been found by the auto mechanic. They have even driven the van and have felt the problem. It started doing this about 2 to 3 years ago. It would usually only happen in the warm weather from june through october but this winter i have even noticed it. It has not completely quit working yet.

We were almost killed several times when the car stopped dead on highways. Each time we brought it to a dealer, they never found anything wrong because after a while the car would run again.finally when we were out off warrantyand out of the extra coverage we had purchased, we were on our own. We changed the fuel pump/we had new wiring installed and the car still died frquently. It's now sitting on our driveway dead. Also, rack and pinion went. It was always a problem.we met other people with the same problems who could and did change their vehicles.*mjs

Whenvan is in hillstransmission and the cooling sistem, go to the hight temperature and the motor turns off automaticaly.

Tensioner arm locks in full tension position causing the belt to come off.the belt cannot be replaced without removing the tensioner arm.

Crankshaft loose. *sd

On or about 04/10/99, for the second time, we have had the tension pulley shear off from the engine block, knocking out the power steering and all other functions powered by one large serpentine belt.

1990 plymouth voyager with the 3.3 engine, run the vehicle 20 or 30 minutes and shut it off leave it sit 15 or 20 minutes then start it up and put it in drive it does not want to shift out of low. If i shut it off and start it up and put it in drive 3 or 4 times it will start working. I also have had it shifting ok been on the highway in od and the transmission kicks out of gear until it gets back down to 25, 30 mph then it slams into low. *la

Fuel rail leakage. Notifiedmanufacturer, and informed consumer that warranty expired, and nothing will be done unless cost goes toconsumer. Please feel free to provide any further details on this matter.

I have a 1990 grand voyager minivan that that has developed a fuel leak on the 3.3 liter v6.the leak is from the seal on the fuel rail crossover tube that goes from the front head to the rear head of the engine.i discovered it leaking fuel at a rate of several drops per second.on the nhtsa web site, recall campaign 00v268000 describes the following:''defect summary: vehicle description: mini vans built with 3.3l and 3.8l engines have fuel rails with nitrole rubber o-ring seals that can degrade over time. Fuel leakage from the underhood fuel injection fuel rail could result, increasing the likelihood of a vehicle fire. Consequence summary: fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire. Corrective summary: dealers will install a seal on the vehicle fuel rails to prevent external leakage of fuel from the fuel rail crossover tube, should the existing o-rings continue to degrade. Owner notification began on january 25, 2002. Due to the large quantity of vehicles involved in this campaign, the owner notification will be phased over the next several months. However, if a vehicle is leaking fuel from the o-rings, the vehicle should be taken into a dealer to have this repaired as soon as possible. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact daimlerchrysler at 1-800-853-1403. ''the 00v268000 recall precisely describes the failure i am experiencing on the same vehicle type and engine.however, the recall does not cover the 1990 model year of my vehicle. Can anyone explain to me why the earlier years were excluded?the dealer quotes a price of $768 for repairs.fortunately i caught it before a fire started.

Fuel rail assembly failed, causing gasoline to leak onto the hot manifold.

The consumerreceived a recall letter in 1997 for liftgate.liftgate it willnot close.consumer has tape on the liftgate.

Possible odometer fraud.

Motor and transmission failed.

Transmission failed. *sd

While drivingabout 50 mphvehicle started losing power, and consumer was forced to pull off to the side of theroad. Then drove to a garage where they told her that transmission fluid was leaking andvehicle overheated.

We have already replaced the transmission 4 times; appears a 6th is now needed. Two of the replacements have been "free" to us because they occured in less than 1 year from installation. This latest one lasted just a little over 1 year, which means that we will have to pay for it ourselves. This known issue should be fully covered by the manufacturer. In fact, i want reimbursement for all of the transmissions i have had to replace.

Whenvan is in hillstransmission and the cooling sistem, go to the hight temperature and the motor turns off automaticaly.

Transmission failed.

The vehicle had a factory re- manufactured transmissioninstalled, which is now sticking in second gear and frequently fails to shift into another gear.the manufacturer is aware of the failure, but hasn't provided a remedy to correct it.the transmission has to be replaced with another re-manufactured transmission.

Failures of transmission and fuel pump created hazardous conditions due to unplanned stopping in unaccommodating traffic.

This is 3 rd trans failure for this vehicle, for which i am still making payments on and not being able to use.after talking to others and transmission shop also it appears to be a major problem and has been for many years. I believe chrysler knows they have a problem and should repair and replace these units at a no-charge or at the least a pro-rated per mileage price.the last transmission lasted 60000 miles and i'm an easy driver and very maintenance minded....why are all these manufactuers allowed to get away with these monsterous repair costs when they gave us faulty equipment in the first place......i want my vehicle repaired!!!!!

The a604 transaxle design is flawed. The longest service interval i've experienced with this transmission was 72,600 miles, in the original unit. The 1st rebuild went another 70,000 miles, and then that rebuild only lasted 40,000+ miles. I'm getting tired of paying.

The first transmission failed while i and my family were on the ny state thruway.we were going on vacation and we had to return home in limp mode for approximately 100 miles.the second transmission failed while we were travelling on local streets near our home.i had to pay for the second transmission and computer.neither trans lived up to the warranty of 70,000 miles.the first trans failed at 58,000 miles and the second trans failed after 52,000 miles.
