I understand that others have been having trouble with their wheel speed sensors and so i wanted to report that i had both of my rear sensors on my 2016 mercedes-benz (mb) sprinter chassis replaced on june 23, 2020.it had only 12, 036 miles on it.we were on the olympic peninsula when out dashboard lit up with many idiot lights.because there were no mb dealers in the area, we could not immediately take it in.when we would start it up again, the lights did not come on and then other times they came on!the sprinter would also jerk as we were driving.we took a ferry home the next day and were 3 blocks from the mb service department when our sprinter went into 'limp mode.'it was pretty scary because the cars around us were going between 45 and 55 miles an hour and we had to get into the right lane quickly which was a challenge with the cars going so fast around us.when we took it in, the mb service person said he thought he knew what the problem was and he was correct! the mb service department worked on it right away and we picked it up the next day. They were very nice. We were very lucky because our sprinter only went into 'limp mode and we were able to get into the right lane.other rv owners have reported sudden speed increases which would definitely be a huge safety issue. This problem has also been reported to have happened to the front speed sensor.please note that this issue is appearing on many rv owner sites where rv's are built on a mb sprinter chassis.while investigating, please pay attention to this, as this is a mercedes-benz sprinter issue.please have mb do a recall and actually fix the problem by replacing all 4 sensors at once with a better designed replacement - regardless of warranty, regardless of vehicle age or mileage.
