I have a brand new 2007 vespa lx 150 scooter which i purchased on july 19, 2008. I have owned it for 10 days and have only 35 miles on it. Tonight while riding i experienced a stuck throttle which could have resulted in severe injuries to myself or others had i been riding in traffic. Luckily i was ridingin a residential area but there were children playing nearby! i had to use the kill engine switch in order to cut the engine to prevent a runaway scooter and a devastating accident.i had to walk the scooter home, approximately a half mile. I will be calling piaggio and the dealer in state college, pa in the morning to report this problem and hopefully get satisfactory resolution. I think a stuck throttle is not supposed to be a common problem, but when it happens it is extremely dangerous.
