Fuel pump stops working causing unit to turn off when engine is at operating temperatures. Stalling and not turning on. This situation happens after 20 mins of riding. It can turn off while riding or at an intersection/stop sign with no warning. After about 2 hours the unit will eventually restart. No updated part has been made yet. The company continues to replace the fuel pump with the same old part number?!?! please help us have a safe and enjoyable machine to ride. This can be a very dangerous problem if not addressed soon.
Fuel pump failed on my wife's 2010 vespa gts super. Lucky we were at a stop and not in traffic or it could have caused an accident. I feel that these fuel pump failures could be deadly.
Regardless of amount of fuel in tank, gauge always reads empty.
A 2010 vespa gts300 super-after riding it for about 32 miles on saturday, august 14 in temperatures of about 85-95 degrees, i parked it at a shop and spent about ten minutes inside. When i came out the scooter wouldn't start. Thought it needed gas so pushed it to station about 3 blocks away. The tank still had about a gal of gas in it, and the scooter still does not start. Pushed it to a scooter dealer i know about 4 blocks. Called my wife to come get me. About ten minutes later i tried starting the scooter and it started! this was about one-one and a half hours after the first non start. Am taking it in tomorrow to a dealer 65 miles away and have them check it. I'm suspecting a bad fuel pump, which the gts 250 and 300s are having.
I have a 2010 vespa super 300. On a warm day after riding approximately 40 miles it just quit.it would not redraft.after the engine cooled hours later i was able to get it to restart. It has come to my attention that other owners of this vespa model with the same engine also are having problems.the internet and modern vespa website is full of owners in the same situation which is a faulty fuel pump.i urge you to ask vespa usa to do a recall for this fuel pump problem.
I was driving on the freeway and the fuel pump on my vespa 300 gts fail, this problem its happening to many vespa 2009/2010 for a bad bach of fuel pump installed from piaggio.
Vespa gts 300 will not start after running due to fuel pump failure. It has left me stranded multiple time. Sometimes after cooling down it might start up, but after one hour or two. Vespa is well aware of the problem, however has yet to take corrective action. Had to have the scooter towed to the vespa repair center in hope of getting a second fuel pump.
Fuel pump failure on 2010 vespa 300 super.
My gts300 super vespa scooter has quit on me again. I wrote you a note last week about this happening last friday, aug.14. This time i took the scooter to the coffee shop, left there, rode it about for the next 45 min- 1 hr, came home, parked it. Went out 45 minutes later to check, it would not start. Turned over, but no start. No "whirring" sound either, that the fuel pump normally makes.just went out and checked again'this time, 1 hr and 15 min later, the sound and it started. This is really a nuisance and a potential for disaster if it occurrs in traffic, which it has not for me.
Fuel pump failure at 1200 miles from new.dealer replaced under warranty, but it is a safety issue as pumps may fail while moving.
I bought a new vespa 2010 gts and around 400 miles on the odometer, the fuel pump died.when the scooter was cold, it would start, but as the engine warmed, upon shutting in off, it would not restart.i had it towed to the nearest shop where they replaced the fuel pump.
