I had taken my fifth wheel to the factory in shipshewana,in and spoke with [xxx] the service manager about upgrading by suspension system for a possible trip to alaska. He gave me a name and phone number to call.[xxx]at dexter axle that she would know what components are available.when i talked to her she wanted the serial number stamped on the axle.ln131031191.she says that these are 6000 pound rated axles and the maximum is 11,900 pounds and that i am over maximum now,she said dexter doesn't design trailers and that i should contact the factory.she said i should carry an extra spring leaf..i have emailed and called the factory [xxx] but no reply.unit was weighed on a cat scale at 12,102 poundssticker on trailer says gvwr is 14,185 poundsuvw is 11,165am i headed for a disaster??????information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
