Turn signal switch/multi function switch that also controls the cruise control, wipers, and windshield washer. 1. I can't put the turn signal lever in the locked position when signaling a right or left turn, the signals won't work. I have to apply just enough pressure on the lever to make the signals blink.2. My emergency flashers won't work at all and i had to remove the upper part of the switch on the steering column because if you accidentally bump it the turn signals and brake lights won't work.3. My windshield wipers will not work on low unless i turn on the left turn signal. When the left signal is blinking the wipers work perfect on low. When i turn the wipers on fast they will not work unless the left turn signal is on and then they go up three inches and down three inches.

While traveling 55mph onhighway without prior warning consumer began to experience engine failure. After vehicle was taken to an out of state repair shop it was discovered thatengine had blown up. Consumer replacedentire engine at his own expense. When consumer returned home, dealerandmanufacturerwere contatced, but refused to reimburse for repairs.

While driving, engine failed causing loss of power, dealer stated a rod came through the engine block, upon inspection dealer found the wrong size oil drain plug on the oil pan, consumer states two computers were previously installed due to vehicle experiencing power loss, fuel filter was also replaced in an attempt to correct the problem, consumer is requesting reimbursement for repairs.
The vehicle was getting so hot that it melted plastic and rubber fittings under the vehicle, which caused the spring on the passenger side to break and come down and bend the sway bar that separates the rear tires and burnt all the wires under the car on the right side and up through the floor of the car damaging the electrical harness and burning the interior.

I have found that the intake manifold is leaking oil from this particular motor v6-3100 3.1l mfi vin m in my 1994 oldsmobile cutlass supreme. The place that fixed my car had to replace the motor three times before they figured out what was wrong with it. It was consuming too much oil, the oil was completely dry after 1,000 miles, which resulted in the blow-up of my motor. I have tried to contact oldsmobile to find out if they had any information on it, but no one could help me. This is my last resort. The place that fixed my car actually has another motor in the same condition that they received one week ago. If you are able to investigate and find something out, it will be appreciated. When going downhill or yphill slowly the brake swill make a clicking noise, and it will take longerto stop. When going faster, problem does not occur.

The abs light stays on all the time and has done so since approximately 2 years to 3 years after purchase.i have taken it to be looked at and have been told nothing can be found to be wrong.i also called the oldsmobile number listed in the manufacturers guide, and they said since the warranty had expired nothing could be done at their end (at the same time i had complained about other problems).i looked on the internet and have seen several other complaints about this problem and find it hard to believe that failure of such a major part with numerous complaints would be of no consequence to the manufacturer or any other safety organization.
Abs is activated on dry pavement for absolutely no reason, car is difficult to stop at times, and stopping distances are longer.several dealers have looked at problem, two don't know, and said they could do investigative repairs that could easily amount to over $2500, the other dealer said that if my "check engine" doesn't come on then they can't help me!!the car is a hazard to drive and shouldn't be on the road left unrepaired.because of the abs malfunctioning, i did hit a stationary object, causing damage to the left front of the vehicle.i don't have $2500 to throw into a car for investigative repairs.i know longer want to put myself or my passengers in jeapardy because i am no longer able to stop the vehicle.i don't want anyone to drive the vehicle in fear that they might have a serious accident that i would feel responsible for.since, i feel basically helpless, i am currently looking for a different car.

The antilock brakes on my 1994 oldsmobile cutlass cruiser make the car impossible to stop on an icy road.at very low speeds, 15 mph or less once the antilock breaks kick in the car takes off and slides right through the intersection this behavior is unpredictable, scary and quite dangerous.the tires and brakes are new and in good condition. Disabling the antilock breaks makes the car very easy to stop under the same conditions even if a wheel skids a little bit. This isn't an equipment failure as much as it is a defect in design concept.the antilock brakes may be fine for a 65 mph stop on a rainy california expressway, but they are terrible on an icy or snowy new york road at speeds of less than 15 mph, in a slow speed stop once one wheel slips. The wheels go into antilock and since all the wheels are on a slippery surface the antilock action continues effectively shutting the breaks off making the carimpossible to stop. The antilock action is very violent and actually causes the wheels to skid resulting in more antilock action. It is impossible to feather the brakes to bring the car to a predictable stop on an icy road. I have driven several gm vehicles and they all have this problem. I will avoid purchasing antilock breaks wherever possible. Obviously the designers never went through a new york winter with these brakes. *nlm
I am having problems with my rear brake system and i was told that there was a recall on my car because of the brakes and i was not informed of this befor nor after i baught this car. I want someone to look at my brakes free of charge, to inform me if i have the problem that this car was recalled for. I also am wondering about the cruise control i was driving my car at 65 mph. Right rear strut pierced right threw the rocker panel, hitting the trunk as i drive, this happened last year and on my way home from work today 06/08/00 the left rear side went threw. I say this is a defect from the manufacturer. Something like that just doesn't happen. I't also happpenend to a guy at work, same car same year, but his happened only 2 weeks apart. This must be a soft spot in the metal where it doesn't hold the strut down good enough. I can give you the guys name and he can tell you. He warned me about the other side going but i thought that was an off the wall thing. This is a problem. Now i have to spend another 200 dollars to get that one fixed. Please see to this.

Same defect as nhtsa recall #98t002000 but in different tire size. Massive sidewall cracking developed on tires with 15000 miles with like new tread left. One tire has 3 inch, deep crack and on inspection, another tire is develping the exact same crack.

My emergency flashers won't work at all and i had to remove the upper part of the switch on the steering column because if you accidentally bump it the turn signals and brake lights won't work.3. My windshield wipers will not work on low unless i turn on the left turn signal. When the left signal is blinking the wipers work perfect on low. When i turn the wipers on fast they will not work unless the left turn signal is on and then they go up three inches and down three inches.
Vehicle experiencing ongoing problems with the following: 1. Engine stalling intermittently while driving and when accelerator pedal is pressed;2. The contact owns a 1994 oldsmobile cutlass supreme.the contact stated that the windshield wipers failed to operate. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic where the contact was informed that the vehicle could possibly fall under nhtsa campaign id number: 97v017000 (visibility: windshield wiper/washer: switch/wiring). The contact inquired with the dealer and was advised that the manufacturer was no longer honoring the recall because the recall was initiated in 1997. The contact stated that he was never informed of the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available.the failure mileage was 44,000 and the current mileage was 46,000.
Nhtsa recall 97v017000 and manufacturer'srecall 97003 concerning windshield wiper/washer switch. Consumerreceived the recall, butdealer won't dorecall repairs due to not findingthe recall in their system.
