Little tiny spring (looks like clock spring) causes driver's front and front/rear seat/passenger retractable housing to become inoperative.
Driving vehicle, oldsmobile rearended taxicab, front of oldsmobile pushed in, hood would not open, steering column collapsed, air bag did not deploy.
While driving, a short curcuit caused power seats and locks to fail.two days later, at night, the center and 1/3 of the front passenger seat caught fire - completely destroying the interior.
Electrical short caused excessive smoke inside the vehicle, causing vehicle to be undriveable.tt
Fuse panel indicates a 30amp fuse for the heater blower. # 7 slot is indicated in the manual and fuse cover but there is nothing in the slot. Where is the fuse?.
Seat belt straps catch in seat back hinge, damaging seat belts.qcaw
Seat belt twists, therefore cannot be retracted.
Rear seat belt retractor broke rendering it inoperative.
During a panic stop, passenger's side, rear seat belts failed, and the passenger was thrust into theback of the front seat,.further inspection revealed the retractor casing had fallen apart. Oldsmobile advised me seat belt maintenance was my responsibilty. I have since learned of tsb 91c09 and 91c09a, dated 11/92 concerning this vehicle ( i have no specifics).inspection of the other belts show they are failing as well. The owners manual has no instructions on maintenance/inspection schedules, or user-serviceable parts either.
Shoulder/lap seat belts failed to retract.

Passenger's side motor seat wire overheated, resulting in a fire/injuries.also vehicle suffered extensive damage.
According to the dealer which diagnosed the problem, this type of failure is not commonly seen.
Consumer was driving in wet and icy weather conditions and upon applying force to the brake pedal, the pedal went to the floor due to leaking brake fluid in hydraulic module.
Recall repair work completed on the abs brake pressure modulator valve, however brake pedal went to the floor after repair.
Antilock brakes failed.
Passenger's brake line bracket i broke.the dealer doesn't carry the parts anymore.the consumer poseda question: since it was a safety item, wasthe government responsible to force the manufacturer to supply consumer with parts?
