The passenger's frontal air bag inadvertently deployed while driving 45-50 mph. Air bag hit the passenger in the face.passenger sustained minor facial bruises. Manufacturer/dealer were notified.

We had trouble with starting the car off and on since we acquired it in the fall of 2014. May of 2015 it finally simply wouldn't start and was diagnosed as an ignition switch malfunction and replaced. The replacement is now not working either.

After thevehicle had been started and idling for 10 mins, the consumer noticed a flash of light from under the hood, then the entire vehicle caught on fire.the cause or what ignited the fire has not been determined.

I had just purchased my 1995 oldsmobile aurora in 8/2007 with under 60,000 miles and i noticed the card was slamming into gear and also not shifting correctly. Almost like transmission was slipping. I spent over 1200.00 in motor mount repairs and the issue cont. Until i pulled off from a 2waystop and my car would not mv from the middle of the street. I was almost hit by oncoming traffic on both sides of me and i had a small child strapped in a car seat in the back seat...at this point i took my car to hv the transmission rebuilt. The issue continued after this and i was told to replace the alternator. I did this and the issue stopped but i cont to hv electrical prob with the car like the windows not rolling down or seat not able to mv bk/frth. I was able to use the sunroof but this has stopped again recently and the issues with power have started again. It is beginning to get shifty and i am concerned to the point of anxiety when crossing intersections. Also i was told when i took my car to hv a tune up done i was told there was an electrical issue as the mechanic informed me he rmvd a fuse which seemed to be smoking. This had since been rplcd.

Took car in for service twice while under warranty complaining about jerk in transmission, the transmission was replaced the first, now 37,000 miles later out of warranty and complete failure . Company advertisers car will not need tuneup until 100,000 miles, i have had the car for only 60k miles and have had to have it tuned up twice at $600+ a pop. At that point car was stalling not delivering the power that it usually does.

A recall for the oil was received. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer on three occasions for the same repairs.check engine light wason, and the oil leak continued.

Consumer statesthat while driving at any speed and without warning the vehicle will jerk and the the engine light will come on the remainder of the time vehicle is being operated.engine is leaking oil. Dealer notified.

Purchased aurora used, but had problems from the start. It takes several tries before starting up each time; gas pedal shimmies and vibrates between 65 & 70 mph; coolant system failure; car cuts off while driving; and paint chips off.

I am having continuous problems with losing power between 1500 and 3000 rpms at any speed. The car will sputter and jerk then once out of the range of 3000 rpm the car seems to regain the power that it didn't have earlier. The electric system has never shut down completely and the check engine light has only come on three times then gone off again not to return until months later. I have not had an accident related to this problem yet. But i am afraid that one time i will be trying to get across an intersection and i will lose power and get hit.

Dealer replaced the fuel rail at 50,000 miles/62,000 mile's and again at 66,000 miles, but problem was still occurring.(bladder leak, gas leak, fluid leak, fluid coolant leak)there was a strong gas smell, transmission problem, the engine hesitation as if it were going to backfire, overheating, banging noise when the gears were shifted which was an intermittent failure per pcm.the reg/filter and throttle sealing was replaced. *sc

Five days after the purchase radiator cracked, car overheated, took to dealership, while speaking with the service manager, i explained the abs/traction control light came on and stays on as of 3rd day after purchase and that the engine was surging and back fire type noise from under the hood during acceleration and the car had no power. The front right fog light was not working the day of purchase and to replace it, i was charged for the replacement bulb. There was no buyers guide on this vehicle on the day i test drove the car nor on the day of purchase, i purchased a one year extended warranty through the dealership in the amount of $1295.00, and was told it covered everything. Service manager was contacted on the day i picked the car up after the radiator repair, and was told the other issues were not corrected at this time due to the warranty not having time to process. A few hours later, i called the service manager to report that the car was running hot , smoking from under the hood and he blew it off as coolant burnoff and if it continued to return it on the following monday, this was on a friday.was involved in accident that same friday night, yet it was minor and i drove the car home from the scene. I drove to a repair facility on monday, and there is when i was informed that the radiator repair from the previous week was not done and pictures were taken and i met with the sales manager and showed him the pictures, yet he still insisted the repair was done, i e-mailed the photos to gm and oldsmobile with my complaint. No response to this day 01/29/01.

I now have a profuse oil leak.it began at fairly low mileage and diagnosed as a drain plug problem - i had that fixed.the next time it leaked i was informed that it was the oil pan seal - i had that replaced.now the leak is evidently the crankcase seal, as diagnosed again by the dealer - leaks profusely.isn't there a recall for this kind of thing - the repair is very very expensive.

Oil leak crankcase, have to pull engine mfr will not take care of problem because of high milage tcbs have been put out onthis problem they still will not take care of this because warranty is over this problem will exist on all of these cars because of bad design.they should not allow this car to be made becuse of the inherit problems this car will have because the way the ran the exaust up and around oilpan and carankcase

My car was missing and hesitating, i took the car in to the dealership and was told it was the leaking of the head gaskets, cost was to be around 3500.00.after dealership removed head gaskets (this was 8 hours of labor and 1200.00 so far for labor) they found a hole in the engine due to corrosive defect.the cost of a new engine (a northstar) would be 8000.00 plus labor.this norhtstar engine should have lasted longer than 82,000.they are advertised to go 100,000 miles without tuneups.i knew that was far fetched...i had my car maintenanced proplerly for all of the mile checkups reported by the manufacturer.i have been in contact with oldsmoblile customer service and received a number c00118601.i am very upset with this and just want it reported properly.

I had just left the car after pulling the car to the top of the driveway and my wife was about to enter the car to go to work when she saw a flash, then smoke. The car subsequently became engulfed in flames. Fortunately we were not injured. Our insurance company is declaring the car a total loss. My second car.... Tried to start vehicle, vehicle backfired. A few minutes later, i noticed that smoke was coming out from under the car, and the ice on the vehicle was melting. I opened the hood and discovered that the engine was on fire. I was able to extinguish the fire with a blanket.

While applying the brake pedal went o the floor, and vehicle continued to accelerate.consumer noticed that the vehiclehesitated and surged. Consumer took vehicleto the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the idle speed motor and egr valve needed to be replaced.

While driving consumer smelled some fuel. Whenvehicle was taken into dealership consumer was told that there was a fuel leakage wherepipe(part #25604920)was not properly connected tofuel injector.

I think the manufacture forgot to include the inside air circulation switch for the a/c on the 1995 aurora, the 97 and up models all have that inside air circulation swith, that means that the driver for the 95 model has no choice but to receive outside air which includes fumes, a lot of people are allergic to exhaust fumes and could become deadly for them, plus it doesn't cool as good with outside air, which cost more fuel and makes the system work harder c ci.

Headlights flicker or blink like flashers while driving. Fuel injection system seems not to be getting necessary fuel at all times. Paint has been peeling on the molding and i have been noticing spots in the paint more and more every week. Had problem with anti-lock braking system made loud noises and malfunctioned while driving. Transmission shut down on the interstate was driving 70mph then alll of a sudden it shut down to 35mph and it wouldn't go any faster. Air condition vents are stuck in close position and some of them are not getting air through them at all.

12,808 miles (2-29-96) seal, lower crankcase replaced.34,603 miles (11-25-97) diagnose electrical problems-replace radio.44,513 miles (8-19-98) diagnose electrical problems, replace alternator controller, pcm/vcm (computers)49,098 miles (12-30-98) diagnose electrical problems, again replace alternator (alternator is causing computers to fail) 63,420 miles (3-1-2000)- i purchase at end of my partner?s lease and he leased new aurora-dealer never advise him the electrical problems would be reoccurring.dealer preformed major 60,000 service and indicated the care was fine. 65,777 miles (7-9-2001).the car backfired while wife was crossing busy intersection and was not very responsive.i was just able to get to local garage next to intersection to try to at least get repair it enough to drive. I had no idea it would require major repair since it had only been 2,357 since it had a complete major 60,000-mile dealer service.the repairs ($2,480) included the ignition module, ecm (computer), electrical brake control module (abs system), and alternator. The diagnostic showed the alternator malfunction was damaging the above components.this is the third alternator in 21,264 miles ( and second emc ).there is a manufacture design problem and the manufacture appears not to be able to fix it.70.090 miles (5-28-2003) the car was taken in to the dealer because it slams into gear when shifting from park to reverse and shifts rough during normal driving.i was advised that the ecm (computer) was causing the problem and would have to be replaced. After getting the complete car history, i found that it has been an on going problem that gm has not solved. The current dealer was just going to replace the computer until i advised him he needs to check alternator since it appears from past experience it is involved in taking out the computers.

I am having continuous problems with losing power between 1500 and 3000 rpms at any speed. The car will sputter and jerk then once out of the range of 3000 rpm the car seems to regain the power that it didn't have earlier. The electric system has never shut down completely and the check engine light has only come on three times then gone off again not to return until months later. I have not had an accident related to this problem yet. But i am afraid that one time i will be trying to get across an intersection and i will lose power and get hit.

I have a 1995 oldsmoble aroura. The fuel rail has had three seperate failures. There is a recall in effect for this model and year for this problem. However oldsmobile says my car is not covered under the recall. I had it fixed at the dealer for over $600 asgas was getting on the engine.

Gm recall of olds aurora 1995 fuel rail was replaced by dealer and a part of the rail,the regulator,with a charge of $154.00 plus tax desposal fee etc for a costof$175.62.there was no problem with the rail and it's fitting before the recall and gm will not honor the total cost of the recall.

It was not from a fitting.it was spraying from a hole in the plastic fuel line tubbing.for a plastic fuel line to begin spraying gasoline for no apparent reason is bizzare.i feel oldsmobile should be aware of this and should pay for parts and labor for this defect.

May of 2003 there was a strong smell of gas from engine on my 1995 oldsmobile aurora. I took my automobile to my mechanic. He diagnosed the problem as a crack in the fuel rail. Does this mean that because this problem started and was observed in the 1995 models, that those of us with the vehicles that the problem was initially observed in can just plain go to hell and suffer the loss of a vehicle or worse still be consumed in a fire started by this defect and be politely told, "sorry, this only applies to the vehicles sent a recall notice".i believe that your recall id 04v110000 should apply to all vehicles affected, not just those gm has sent notices. It was sent to 1995 cadillac owners which has the same engine as the 1995 aurora, theaurora is 4.0 litre and the cadillac 4.6 litres - identical engines but a smaller displacement. Same configuration and fuel rail components.i was indeed very fortunate that neither a fire or otherserious event happened and only wish that gm would at leastacknowledge the fact that this failure was the result of the failure of the part involved in the following attachment, and be compensated for the repair of said component.

The fuel rail is composed of plastic sections of tubing connecting the fuel injectors.these sections develop splits allowing fuel to spray all over the engine. This has happened twice in the past year.both times i replaced the bad sections with rubber hose and clamps.i believe that if this problem is not addressed every one of these cars will develop the problem at some point in time, possibly resulting in catastrophic fires.

Headlights flicker or blink like flashers while driving. Fuel injection system seems not to be getting necessary fuel at all times. Paint has been peeling on the molding and i have been noticing spots in the paint more and more every week. Had problem with anti-lock braking system made loud noises and malfunctioned while driving. Transmission shut down on the interstate was driving 70mph then alll of a sudden it shut down to 35mph and it wouldn't go any faster. Air condition vents are stuck in close position and some of them are not getting air through them at all.

Failure of computer which controls fuel injection.problem is most noticeable at low speeds, as when approaching other autos at a traffic light or very slow speed driving.when pressure is released from accelerator pedal the fuel controller increases fuel flow for 0.3 to 1.0 second then slowlyreduces flow to normal idle speed.engine speed increases in this process (with transmission shifted into nuetral to observe it) 500 to 1500 rpm.the problem seems to be worse at elevated ambient temperatures. Rail injector tubing fractured three (3) times. First time my wife drove it 17 miles at 60 mph not understanding what was going on. Luckily the car did not catch fire, but it took weeks to get the smell of gasoline out of the car and the ventilation system. Had someone drove by and flipped out a cigarette or a small electrical arc in the engine compartment, i have no doubt it would have went off like a bomb. I caught the two (2) other fractured tubes by checking the engine before she drove it and when she returned home.finally, i had it replaced, at a cost of around $400, but with no guarantee that the same thing would not happen again. Oldsmobile engine engineering really fumbled the ball on this design of fuel delivery in the engine compartment, plastic tubing to carry fuel to the injectors (at around 50 psi) in a hot engine compartment. Sad part is that the new replacement part was made out of the same material. You ask the questions below; was there a fire? was there a crash? property damage? reported to police?a rather ironic set of questions! had there been a fire at 60 mph, i'm sure a crash would have happened, property damage would be a given and the police would have been called. But for what purpose,the fractured plastic injector tubing (which created the whole mess) would have been consumed by the fire and everyone would be asking "what could have caused this?" i believe i have provided you with the answer to that last question. Sad part is that i see many of these oldsmobile aurora driving around all over the country, and unfortunately no one with the power to do so, like yourself, feel compelled to let the american consumers know that this very dangerous situation exist and make oldsmobile admit it has a life threatening problem in it's fuel delivery system.larry burnside.*la

Dealer replaced the fuel rail at 50,000 miles/62,000 mile's and again at 66,000 miles, but problem was still occurring.(bladder leak, gas leak, fluid leak, fluid coolant leak)there was a strong gas smell, transmission problem, the engine hesitation as if it were going to backfire, overheating, banging noise when the gears were shifted which was an intermittent failure per pcm.the reg/filter and throttle sealing was replaced. *sc

A recall notice was issued on gm vehicles concerning nylon tubing for fuel lines.the problem is ,gm has not replaced all of the nylon lines in engine compartment.i had a problem with the line that was not replaced,which i fixed with a rubber fuel line.this line was pissing gas,into the engine compartment.if i didn't actually see this, a nice fire was sure to engulf the car.as i see it.this is a fire waiting to happen.to tell the truth ,i have never seen a fuel line made out of this nylon.this problem should be corrected,before someone dies.

First we were told it was a recall and there would be no charges. Then they changed it to nope all models but yours is under the recall after it was repaired. I have a 1995 oldsmobile aurora that had the plastic fuel rail cracked. They said i would have to bring it in and have the whole rail replaced. The estimate on the replacement was: $295.00 for the fuel rail and about $175.00 for labor. I ended up fixing the problem with some 5/8 fuel line that i purchased for around $4.00. I haven't had any problems in the past year with it leaking, but i am scared that the other plastic tubes could break at any time. A friend just e-mailed me about the report you had on msnbc and i saw where you reported 123 cases. I would think that number will grow.

The windows stop driver side engine leaks oil slipps as it drives heats fast as temp goes up

During the recent flood in houston, some water got into my olds aurora. Now, once the doors are locked, they cannot be opened from the inside. The front doors can be opened from the outside if you have a key! this presents a very dangerous situation in which someone can literally become trapped inside the car. All locks should operate manually! the locks in my car worked well before the water seeped in. Now they will not open the doors at all!

12,808 miles (2-29-96) seal, lower crankcase replaced.34,603 miles (11-25-97) diagnose electrical problems-replace radio.44,513 miles (8-19-98) diagnose electrical problems, replace alternator controller, pcm/vcm (computers)49,098 miles (12-30-98) diagnose electrical problems, again replace alternator (alternator is causing computers to fail) 63,420 miles (3-1-2000)- i purchase at end of my partner?s lease and he leased new aurora-dealer never advise him the electrical problems would be reoccurring.dealer preformed major 60,000 service and indicated the care was fine. 65,777 miles (7-9-2001).the car backfired while wife was crossing busy intersection and was not very responsive.i was just able to get to local garage next to intersection to try to at least get repair it enough to drive. I had no idea it would require major repair since it had only been 2,357 since it had a complete major 60,000-mile dealer service.the repairs ($2,480) included the ignition module, ecm (computer), electrical brake control module (abs system), and alternator. The diagnostic showed the alternator malfunction was damaging the above components.this is the third alternator in 21,264 miles ( and second emc ).there is a manufacture design problem and the manufacture appears not to be able to fix it.70.090 miles (5-28-2003) the car was taken in to the dealer because it slams into gear when shifting from park to reverse and shifts rough during normal driving.i was advised that the ecm (computer) was causing the problem and would have to be replaced. After getting the complete car history, i found that it has been an on going problem that gm has not solved. The current dealer was just going to replace the computer until i advised him he needs to check alternator since it appears from past experience it is involved in taking out the computers.

Purchased aurora used, but had problems from the start. It takes several tries before starting up each time; gas pedal shimmies and vibrates between 65 & 70 mph; coolant system failure; car cuts off while driving; and paint chips off.

Vehical has been meticulously maintained solely by dealership, no one else has ever worked on vehical including oil changes. Vehical gave no indication of transmission problems prior to complete and total failure.

Seat belts/transmission/abs brakes/ starter failed. Also engine continuously overheated.

Transmission will only operate in reverse or second gear, drivers side window will not operate properly, numerous other problems.

Engine checklight keeps illuminating on the dashboard erratically. Whenvehicle is placed into gear its jerks very hard in a jump motion with the engine idlinghigh. Dealer has not been contacted.

I own a 1995 oldsmobile aurora.in january 2004 i was driving on the highway at about 70 mph when out of no where the car shifted into 2nd gear.this abrubt change in gears/rpm/engine noise nearly caused me to get in a accident.the shift solenoid inside the transmission failed, and the car defaulted to 2nd gear.its my understanding that this is a very common problem, and there was actually a dealer update in 96 or 1997 from gm, who basically admitted a design flaw.this flaw alowed a filter to slide in and out of place constantly smacking the shift soleniod which eventually casued it to snap.the update was a l shaped bar to hold the filter in place.this also cost me about $400 to fix.if gm reliezed this saftey flaw in all of there oldsmobile aurora's up to 97, and cadillacs i believe it should become a recall, this type of faliure is not acceptable, someone could be seriously hurt.

When shifting from park to reverse, the transmission engaged roughly causing damage to engine mounts and well as internal transmission damage. Car now shifts abruptly under normal conditions while not shifting on some occasions. Car taken to dealer and they informed me of pressure control switch failure requiring complete overhaul or raplacement of transmission as well as motor mount replacement. Aside from this most recent problem, the radiator, air compressor, air conditioning hoses and blower fan control module, alternator, ignition coil pack and lower crankcase gasket have all failed within the past seven months. Car currently has about 115,000 miles on it and probably won't live to accumulate many more. Total piece of crap from gm. (oh that sick gm feeling!).

Engine light comes on...rpm's randomly go up and down causing vehicle to surge and/or stall. This is extremely dangerous. Also, when shifting from park to reverse, the transmission engaged roughlyand now will car will not shift into 3rd gear to acceletrate beyond 40 m.p.h. Took car in for service twice while under warranty complaining about jerk in transmission, the transmission was replaced the first, now 37,000 miles later out of warranty and complete failure . Company advertisers car will not need tuneup until 100,000 miles, i have had the car for only 60k miles and have had to have it tuned up twice at $600+ a pop. At that point car was stalling not delivering the power that it usually does.

I was driving home on the highway doing about 50-55 and the transmission just went into 2nd gear so i had to drive 20 miles at about 35 mph. Luckily there was no one around so there was no accident. At this point in time i haven't done anything to fix it except to have the codes read by a gm dealer and they didn't know what was wrong.i have found out that the shift solenoids are bad due to a failure in the plastic bracket that holds them in place.

The shift solenoids on all the 1995 aurora and above go bad while driving. Im my case i was going 70 mph on the interstate when suddenly the car shifted in second gear and was stuck in second gear. I was almost rear ended by another vehicle in addition to the terror i went thru when this happened. There was also no where to pull over as it happened on the bridge. I almost lost control of my vehicle and wrecked.those are 2 shift selenoids that are located inside the transmission, that the dealer had to remove the pan to get to it. Usually one goes bad but they replace both since they already have the pan open. It takes about less than a half an hour to replace. The parts are supposedly made out of plastic and oldsmobile is very aware of this and they know how dangerous it is. They get thousands of auroras in their shop for that problem. I belong to edmunds.com and i must've read at least 50+ complaints about this problem. This always occurrs as someone is driving down the road at a higher rate of speed when suddenly the car shifts in second gear without warning and nothing you can do about it. A few people stated that they almost wrecked. Please let me know.

Five days after the purchase radiator cracked, car overheated, took to dealership, while speaking with the service manager, i explained the abs/traction control light came on and stays on as of 3rd day after purchase and that the engine was surging and back fire type noise from under the hood during acceleration and the car had no power. The front right fog light was not working the day of purchase and to replace it, i was charged for the replacement bulb. There was no buyers guide on this vehicle on the day i test drove the car nor on the day of purchase, i purchased a one year extended warranty through the dealership in the amount of $1295.00, and was told it covered everything. Service manager was contacted on the day i picked the car up after the radiator repair, and was told the other issues were not corrected at this time due to the warranty not having time to process. A few hours later, i called the service manager to report that the car was running hot , smoking from under the hood and he blew it off as coolant burnoff and if it continued to return it on the following monday, this was on a friday.was involved in accident that same friday night, yet it was minor and i drove the car home from the scene. I drove to a repair facility on monday, and there is when i was informed that the radiator repair from the previous week was not done and pictures were taken and i met with the sales manager and showed him the pictures, yet he still insisted the repair was done, i e-mailed the photos to gm and oldsmobile with my complaint. I had just purchased my 1995 oldsmobile aurora in 8/2007 with under 60,000 miles and i noticed the card was slamming into gear and also not shifting correctly. Almost like transmission was slipping. I spent over 1200.00 in motor mount repairs and the issue cont. Until i pulled off from a 2waystop and my car would not mv from the middle of the street. I was almost hit by oncoming traffic on both sides of me and i had a small child strapped in a car seat in the back seat...at this point i took my car to hv the transmission rebuilt. The issue continued after this and i was told to replace the alternator. I did this and the issue stopped but i cont to hv electrical prob with the car like the windows not rolling down or seat not able to mv bk/frth. I was able to use the sunroof but this has stopped again recently and the issues with power have started again. It is beginning to get shifty and i am concerned to the point of anxiety when crossing intersections. Also i was told when i took my car to hv a tune up done i was told there was an electrical issue as the mechanic informed me he rmvd a fuse which seemed to be smoking. This had since been rplcd.

Paint has been peeling on the molding and i have been noticing spots in the paint more and more every week. Had problem with anti-lock braking system made loud noises and malfunctioned while driving. Transmission shut down on the interstate was driving 70mph then alll of a sudden it shut down to 35mph and it wouldn't go any faster. Air condition vents are stuck in close position and some of them are not getting air through them at all.

This is a 1995 oldsmobile aurora. I am the original owner. The car has less than 70k miles, has been garaged and has not been in any accidents. After driving in winter storms the car was always washed under the chassis in the car wash to remove salt.on 10/5/2006, as i was pulling out of the garage, the brake pedal felt totally soft and the car stopped with difficulty after pumping the brakes many times, etc. Our garage has a high slope into the street. I pulled the car slowly back into the garage and observed brake fluid on my driveway. I raised the car on jacks and i inspected the underbody. The brake fluid lines going towards the back wheels are heavily corroded and a spot was leaking heavily. I have owned several cars in the past and kept them for many years and high mileage but i never faced such a serious safety issue. Imagine if i was driving on the highway, at 65 miles/hour!

Entire steering column has loosened.steering wheel is loose and about to fall off.to wners knowledge, the vehicle has never been in a crash and the steering column has never been serviced.

While reversing out of the driveway onto a tow truck the support assembly steering column jacket broke.when this occurredsteering wheel becameloose and flopped around like a broken arm. The cause of the column breaking has yet to be determined.

While driving 15 mph steering wheel fell into the driver's lap.driver was able to maintain control of vehicle, and drove it home. Driver will have the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection and repair.

Vehicle would not start due to the lower half of the tilt knuckle was broken, which also allowed the steering wheel to rest against the seat.

Center console shift indicator is hard to read during the day, driver has to take his eyes off the road to look at center shift indicator. At night, the console shift indicator is almost impossible to read.

Center cup holders are to shallow, when i amdrinking a hot drink, the contents of the drink are spilled on to me when the container falls out of the holder. The result is driver/passenger getting burned by hot coffee. No matter the size of the container, the holder is to shallow.uncapped containers can not be used in the center cup holder without falling out onturns or curves.the center cup holder is useless since they are to shallow resulting in anything being placed in it being thrown out in turns/curves, causing driver to take eyes off the road and catch items spilling or falling.

We had trouble with starting the car off and on since we acquired it in the fall of 2014. May of 2015 it finally simply wouldn't start and was diagnosed as an ignition switch malfunction and replaced. The replacement is now not working either.

Although the car is nearly 5 years old, it has very low mileage and in my opinion the cruise contol should last longer than 24,000 miles.

While driving with the cruise control set at 75 mph in wyoming, the car began an gradual increase in speed - the gas pedal was not touched.touching the brakes several times did not stop the speed increase.turning off the cruise control switch did not stop the increase.after had breaking and after reaching a speed of 90 mph, the uncontrolled acceleration finally stopped.after that we did not use the cruise control.fortunately, we were in the middle of wyoming with no traffic on the interstate, if we had been in city traffic we would most likely have crashed into someone.
