Vehicle was taken to a local oldsmobile dealership to have an airbag manufacturer'srecall 000058-s repairs done. Dealer did not have proper equipment in stock forrepairs.
The vehicle drivers side air bag did not deploy when the front end of the vehicle impact a stopped vehicle.the driver sustained injuries to her knee, right arm/shoulder, back and neck. *nlm
Frontal collision, impact 12:00, speed 100 mph, lost control, driver side airbag did not deploy.
Vehicle made an emergency stop in front of another vehicle and hit the other vehicle from the back and the air bag did not deploy. Dealer said that the air bag shoulddeploy because when vehicle was hit the sensor was broken under the vehicle.
While vehicle waited at stop light, it suddenly accelerated. After taking off, vehicle hit 3 other vehicles. Upon impact, driver's side air bag did not deploy. Had called dealer & informed did not know why vehicle would take off.
Driver seatbelt did not restrain the driver from going forward, also air bag did not deploy.tt

I purchased this vehiclefrom a private party approximately 4-5 years ago, unbeknownst of the 2000 recall forignition issues with the ignition switch. Since i have owned this vehicle i have replaced the ignition switch 3 occasions most currently today 3/24/2015. I presume there is a statute of limitations on this issue. I am curious do i still have any re-course in getting this issue resolved or must i out of pocket resolve this issue as i cannot continue to replace these ignition switches.
Stupid passlock issue . Everybody knows about it but no fix from gm. Worthless car that will not start one time out of every 10. You never know when it will happen. Car must be sold or gotten rid of to fix cause there is no fix. Engineers should be sent to iraq.
Dt*:the contact stated while traveling 65 mph, the steering wheel was adjusted for better vision.this caused the dashboard lights, the brake lights, and headlights to become inoperative.the vehicle has not been seen by a mechanic for this.
When the battery dies in the vehicle the power windows became inoperable.please give any further details.
Please note my auto was on a recall for the replacment of a switch, since this was installedthis switch has fried 3 alternators in my auto.i hadto pay for this after this part was installed. Head gasket blewout while driving, causing steam to release and obstruct visibility.
Consumer sent a letter to oldsmobile division of general motors and didn't receive a response.*phthe engine would not start. At time the vehiclestalled out while driving at 65 mph.this condition was intermittent.the linkage was checked, but no problem was found.
When driver went through a fairly large puddle of water about 2-3 inches deep, the water was sucked up through the air intake which bent a rod in the engine, causing the engine to lock up. The vehicle is being repaired.

Tried to start engine. It wouldn't start. A considerable quantity of fuel sprayed under hood on to the top of the engine and on the ground. Rubberized fuel line had separated at the upper connection.
The vehicle caught fire, then a recall letter was received.the manufacturer sent arepresentative to the consumers home and he stated the fire was not a direct result of the fuel rail.nhtsarecall04v110000.
Rubber fuel line completely detached from metal fitting.metal fitting was pressed on to rubber hose to make transition between rubber and metal fuel line (factory installation).it appears rubber fuel line broke inside metal fitting due to deterioration.this lead to gasoline being pumped into engine compartment.

The door locks will not unlock unless they are manually unlocked. Dealer can't duplicate the problem.
Power door lock on the passenger's side failed, manual lock fails on occasions also.
The drivers side door lock intermittently locks and can not be opened from the inside or outside.
Consumer experienced popping sound in the hinge of the driver's side door and sussequently an intermittent lockout problem causing the door not to be opened from the inside or out.
Extended warranty was given to me at no charge for the problems with the transmission. However,this wasfor the factory defect that resulted in the problems that i had. Was told personally by oldsmobile that cars will fail,and they were not willing to accept responsibility for the problemswhich i encountered due to a lack of transmission fluid in the transmissions, causing the replacement of some of the gears and miscellaneous parts. They also told me that a new transmission was not available, and that i would have to have them repair the current one to which i have had nothing but problems with. (before and after they fixed it). Most all, the repairs performed by oldsmobile resulted in some future failure of something. The last time this car was brought in to them was when i was leaking transmission fluid due to a bad right axel seal. Previous repairs included the reverse lights not operating, the switch had come off the transmission and the lights would not illuminate as a result. The car came from the factory with only about 4 ounces of fluid in the transmission, resulting in the replacment of the gears (system holds 2 quarts!). Shortly after the repairs fixed from a lack of fluid, the stick shift came disconnected when trying to shift from reverse to first gear, car stuck in reverse, had to be towed. My extended warranty is good until june of 2000. In which case i am afraid to own the car any longer. The gas tank door still does not operate properly, they can't seem to fix that!

Entire abs braking system went out .contacted dealer and manufacturer.
Abs systemfailed, cause was unknown.
Faulty pads and rotors; vehicle has been experiencing ongoing problem with pads/ rotors replacement on three occasions;1st. At8000 miles, 2nd. 18,000 miles,and 3rd. 30,000 miles. Currently,at 38,000 miles, problem reoccurred ,and replacement was needed again. Dealer / manufacturer notified. Asking nhtsa to look into this matter.
Brakes: front brake pads replaced at 10, 000, replaced again at 14, 000, and at 18, 000 replaced again with new rotors. Dealer cannot find cause for the problem. Gm took care of repair bill this time and said there is nothing they can do bcause they cannot find anything wrong.

Shocks going out, have been told that achieva's are notorious for this problem.the other equipment is when i turn my wheels a sound comes out of the front end like i have a dove stuck in there.nobody has been able to locate this problem.

My uncle works in the autobody business and told me to contact olds to see if they cover the cost for a paint job since i have 3 spots where the paint is flaking off. I called the dealership that i purchased the car from and spoke to the body shop department and asked if they still warrenty the paint. The counter person said that they never did warrenty any paint issues in the past and that there is no current recalls regarding the paint either. I called the contact nymber that you have posted on your site and got the same snub nose by the book remarks from the rep on the phone.i was wondering if it is a worth while effort to fight this based on the age of the vehicle or should i just pay oout of pocket.

Defogger only keeps a small area of windshield clear, also side vents only designed to work when heater is on.
