Was driving down a toll road, dear jumped in front of car hit the driver side front, car hit median, flipped, and rolled 3 times. Car is totaled. Air bags never deployed.

Vehicle rear ended another vehicle at 30mph, and neither driver's side nor passenger's side airbags deployed. Dealer has not seen vehicle.

While driving over railroad tracksat 35 mph both air bags deployed and caused damage to front windshield and both rear door seals. Vehicle being repaired by the dealer at insurance cost.

My 1998 oldsmobile 88ls hit a deer on 11/05/1999 and both airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed to nourse dealership body shop on 11/07/1999 for repairs.they have told me that general motors has no replacement airbags for the passenger side of this vehicle and they cannot even say that they will have them by july. My car is just sitting there! isn't this a violation of us code: title 49, section 30127 ? help!i paid over $20,000.00 for this vehicle and i and my wife need it desperately but it has been nearly five months already and no real hope that the airbag will be available after four more months. We are elderly retired citizens who want to travel out of state but the rental vehicle gm finally provided today is restricted as to miles and distance so we cannot go see our son in washington state. Airbags are mandatory, so shouldn't an inventory of replacement parts also be mandated? please let us know if you can do anything as soon as possible. Thank you. Signed richard and rosemary garrison.

Consumer's automobile had stopped andran into the rear of another stoppedvehicle. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy.

Alterenator fell off causing damage to serpentine belt and air conditioner system.nlm

Alternator made loud high-pitched whine - replaced at my expense. Gear indicator on console des not function in cold temperatures.

This alternator growling/noise and tension pulley assembly began making noises at about 30,000. Then at about 40,000 it really began making growling noises especially a lower speeds. Thenwhile we were on a trip to michigan and wisconsin visiting my relatives and children, it became apparent i had better get this fixed before getting back on the road to our home in bella vista,ar. Some 750 miles. While in milwaukee i was advised to to see felsing service inc. 9128 w. Burleigh st., milwaukee, wi. Since gm dealerships could not guarantee me to have car ready as i had to be back in bella vista on thursday. Mr. Flesing said he could repair this. I wanted a new alternator, but none could be found in milwaukee. So i consented to a delco remfg. Unit and a new pulley assembly.this was completed in a few hours. The bill was $388.10. I feel this alternator should last and be adequately functional for more than 40,000. But the very fact that no new altarenator for my vehicle could be found in milwaukee on that monday tells me, as i also have heard, gm is having problems with alternators etc. Otherwise the car is a fine runnign car with good gas mileage etc.

Alterenator fell off causing damage to serpentine belt and air conditioner system.nlm

Problem is in cold weather the horn blows by its self. It will start to blow and keep blowing till disconnected. When taken to dealer they said they had to call the gm tech support and was told it was a design problem in that year car. The fix was to replace the horn and air bag assembly for the cost of 680.00. I contacted gm about this and was told the car was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do. I don't belive this is a warranty issue anyway.is there any thing that can be done about this or have you received and other complaints of this same nature. Any information or help on this matter would be apperciated. Thank you david hooley.

Car stops without warning during traffic , locking up steering and braking capabilities. This has occurred on seven different occasions. Two occasions required towing at the owners expense. Manufacturer has been notified. Also better business bureau.

Engine and other parts were replaced on april 3rd 2002.vehicle takes 3-4 tries before starting. All communication lights illuminated on dashboard after it started up.5-10 minutes into driving lights went out.dealer was informed of problem.

While driving vehicle would stallwithout any warning.chime indicator was not working properly. Talked to dealer several times about problem which could not be duplicated, nor repaired.problem was intermittent.

While driving vehicle just shuts off.

Consumer tried to start vehicle, there was a rattling noise, did not start. Consumer then replaced starter, but vehicle still did not start. Towed vehicle to dealer who found a gasket had failed, coolant had filledcylinders of engine.

Car overheated without any visible signs of this but the red area of the gauge then the check eng light came on. Pulled to side of the road, checked it got it cooled down, then proceeded to the very next rd to gas station for better view of what was going on. Got to it very quickly and the temp was back up. Stopped let it cool and added water to the now empty resovair that was full when we started the trip. And no signs of leakage and no boiling over, let it cool. Added water. Then tried to crank it up, it would not. Had to have it towed to dealer, thought eng had locked up. Was told their was a feature to this car that shuts down the eng when a leak like this occurs. Wondering how many other people are taken because they thought the eng was gone......and it was not. But it somehow damaged the starter when all this happened. I had a mechanic check out the car before we left on this trip, had the oil changed and everything. But something went wrong when the leak, and running hot occured. Not sure how it messed up the starter. But also know since it shuts the eng down, locks it up, how many people are having to get a new eng cause their person did not know about this feature as well.

Consumerheard a loud noise, and vehicle caught on fire.there was lots ofsmoke and flames under the hood. Dealer notified.

Engine using coolant but no evident leak.after a week of adding a little coolant to reservoir engine ran hot and hydro-locked due to cylinders flooded with coolant.discovered plastic intake manifold had hole in it where the egr tube entered plastic manifold allowing coolant to flood intake.this engine had 84k miles.also discovered intake gaskets were replaced at 45k miles by dealer.definitely an engineering defect.

Car has 55,000 mi on it, and the plastic intake manifold resting on top of the engine cracked, leaking all coolant into the engine.vehicle was shutdown as soon as the temperature climbed to about 250 f.problem was fixed by replacing the plastic intake manifold, and no other damage to the vehicle resulted.

Nar 06/19/2003.*mrthe consumer stated there was a manufacturing defect in the vehicle. There were two problems, one was a faulty head gasket, and the other was a faulty thermostat in which general motors should have beenresponsible for.in addition, the dealership refused the warranty rates offered so the consumer ended up paying large sums of money to have the repairs done. With frustration the consumerreturned the vehicleback to miller brothers and is nowasking that the total repair cost be refund for the amount of$2,946.

Fractured plastic (!) intake manifold (upper plenum) resulting in loss of coolant over the course of about four weeks until the problem was finally diagnosed.had to have this problem analyzed and eventually remedied at a cost of around $700.00 total.why on earth is this crucial component plastic?

On numerous occasions while driving i'll hit brakes check engine light comes on brakes grind loudly and engine stalls. Also the engine will stall at any cruising speed over 40 mph. Causing full power loss including brakes my daughter and i have received injuries from this in the past. Need help asap

Transmission: upper plate gasket went, causing gear slippage at high speeds which gradually became worse in the lower gears. Transmission replaced under warrenty.transmission was replaced with a rebuilt unit which is now exhibiting much of the same slippage at high speeds (only minorly at the moment) @ 156,000km.engine: first engine had the egr/exhaust design defect that causes the intake manifold to melt and coolant to poor into the engine. Report from the shop was that entire bottom end was destroyed by the coolant, and a full new engine had to be ordered (complete with accessories, etc.). The new engine's idler for the serpentine had the bearing cease, knocking the belt off. Since the waterpump was belt driven, the engine overheated. The car was left to idle in the parking lot for a total time of ~ 5-15min. (the temperature out was somewhere around -40c / -40f.). Brakes: perhaps cronically undersized for this vehicle, rotors have warped like clockwork every 30,000km. They are currently warped approaching 160,000km and will need to be replaced --- again --- shortly. This is not a car that see's much heavy use. Groceries on weekends, ~ 15-20km max. Total daily trip during workdays. It has yet to accomplish an extended road trip (i.e., north bay -> ottawa or north bay -> toronto, 4 hours (~400km) and 3 hours (~300km) respectively) without the 'check engine' light being lit. Additional recollection: front fog lights constantly filling with condensation as well, have been replaced 4-5 times while under warrenty. No solution was found and now they're just not used.

While driving 55 mph vehicle stalled.consumer restarted the vehicle, anddrove it home. Consumer will contact the dealer in the near future.

Oldsmobile delta 88, 1998 63000 miles "coolant temperature warning" light came upwhile i was driving on highway. I drove about 1/2 mile to the service area. Turned off the engine. White smoke expelled out of exhaust pipe, a smoke odor was inside of the car.turnedthe engineon 10 minutes later.there was complete silence.the engine got locked up because a coolant leaked into the engine from the upper plastic intake plenum. The engine was replaced.it is a common problem for 1995-2000gm 3800 vin k engines.

Car overheated without any visible signs of this but the red area of the gauge then the check eng light came on. Engine sputtered and shut down causing loss of power steering, power brakes, etc.fortunate not to have happened at high speed or in heavy traffic.the engine locked up completely and would not restart.cause was coolant leakage through crack in plenum which had to be replaced at a cost of over $700.this is very likely the cause of the following consumer complaints listed on your site:odi id's - 553119, 883623, 886028, and possibly others that were unexplained.i only searched for olds 88, but the same engine is used in pontiacs, and other gm makes.this problem is common enough to have been listed by the automotive service assoc. Of arizona repair shops - see their website and an article under the title "coolant leakage" which explains the problem very clearly.the plenum is plastic, and is simply subjected to more engine heat than it can safely handle over time, causing the cracks to develop over time, hence the continual and gradual loss of coolant until it finally gives way resulting in too much coolant leaking into the engine to allow for combustion.as stated earlier, this engine shutdown could be very dangerous at higher speeds or in traffic.

Coolant leak into engine caused car to run extremely rough to the point of having to stop. The car would not restart. Had it towed to a repair shop. The engine had seized due to coolant leak resulting in damage to the head gaskets. The head gaskets along with the upped plenum had to be replaced at a cost of $1100. After research on your sight, i found this problem on several other 1998 olds 88 cars. I also found that a technical bulletin had been issued to dealers about this problem. Why wasn't this problem with the upper plenum that is referenced in the technical bulletin sent to owners of these vehicles. I found the many other model of gm cars also use the 3800 engine with a plastic upper plenum that can crack over time from excessive heat.

Leak in coolant system spread to the engine which resulted in the engine needing to be replaced.*mrthe engine developed a leak in the cooling system before it had become obvious, the leak spread to the engine.the engine was replaced.the consumer's father had experienced the same problem with a new 02 buick lesabre due to the 3800 engine's defect that caused the leak.(this happened to three of their buick vehicle's) nhtsa action #ea02030 *scc

Gradually you will see a depletion of the anti-freeze from the holding reservoir.this is could be a sign that the intake manifold is beginning to leak anti-freeze (just a little) into the engine.sooner or later when the erosion is large enough then a plume of white smoke will come out of the exhaust and you have no choice but to pull over and call the tow truck.i have replaced the engine intake manifold twice on my 1998 olds 88 due to degrading of the interior wall where the anti-freeze flows back into the engine.both times the total cost of the repair (including plugs, wires, new manifold, labor) was around $1,200.on the last manifold gm had established adding a piece of metal where the anti-freeze was eroding the "space age plastic" intake manifold.based on this, gm knows this is an engineering problem, but they will not take ownership of it and or pay for it.

Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer because the check engine light came on.after having a dianostic test done repairs weres done to rectify the problem. Mechanic told the consumer that a recall was issued.

Car sold with 100,000 mile coolant-- part backordered-- can't get due to short supply.requested that dealer contact olds zone manager for warranty / cost of failure support.no response as of this date.no safety defect listed.

My vehicle has only 50,000 miles on it and already has an internal leak of radiator fluid. There has been no leakage under the car from any hoses or components. My engine light has gone on now and the car is sputtering. I have taken the car down for repair and they state that the plastic intake manifold has cracked causing the fluid to be sucked out of the radiator system and evaporated through the engine. My car has not caught fire, but according to the information on this site, i see that my car is in danger of having that happen. *nlm

My oldsmobile 88 was loosing anti-freeze.there was a recall on the fuel pressure regulator, so i took it in for recall repair and had the dealer check the coolant system.they said my intake manifold needed to be replaced at a cost of $1200.this is the second time i have had to have this done to the car.the intake manifold was replaced at 60000 miles.apparently the plastic manifold is not able tohandle the heat.my car has never overheated and this should not be happening.i have 133,000 miles on the vehicle and should not have had to replace this manifold twice.

Consumer called complaining about having problems with a water pump and alternator. Also stated that he has problems with the hose conections on the water pump. Dealer was contacted and has ask consumer to bring the vehicle to the shop. Also states that the timming belt has been replaced. Ts

1998 olds lss with 79,000 miles. Engine stalled while driving to work.dealer diagnosis revealed that most of the coolant had entered the engine through a cracked intake manifold.stall condition was due to collant in the cylinders.dealer cited the problem as stress cracking.intake manifold was replaced. A second, intermittant problem is that the engine will shut off during normal driving.it restarts fine.this happens approximately 1-2 times per week and started about 6 months ago.there are no diagnostics codes set and no one can tell me for certain what causes this.i did change the fuel filter, but that did not solve the problem.

The consumer noticed the intake manifold had a crack, which caused fluids to leak out. *scc

While merging into interstate rush hour traffic with no warning engine failed causing lost of braking and steering effectiveness. No warning was received. Vehicle was towed to dealer and upper intake was found cracked allowing coolant to enter combustion chamber. One week and $800.00 later car was "repaired" vehicle continues to experience fuel delivery problems. Hard starting, random stalling. Dealer advised me this is a common problem with the 3800 series ii engine regardless of mileage or type of use and maintenance. Considering the sudden lost of all power this is very dangerous as braking and steering effectiveness is reduced as is electrical power for accessories such as headlamps and windshield wipers.

The intake manifold cracked which resulted in coolant leaking into the engine and caused the engine to seize. The problem caused extensive damage to engine, starter and flywheel.

While driving the vehicles engine shut down which caused loss of power steering. *nlm

Engine began to run very rough and check engine light began to flash.pulled car off roadway.gasket had failed sending coolant into the engine, damaging the manifolds.

Consumer tried to start vehicle, there was a rattling noise, did not start. Consumer then replaced starter, but vehicle still did not start. Towed vehicle to dealer who found a gasket had failed, coolant had filledcylinders of engine.

3.8l v6 engine coolant is getting into the engine oil while driving. Dealer and manufacturer were not notified at this time.

In october of 2003, my check engine light on my oldsmobile 88ls, 3.8 series two engine, came on.the car had a loss of power and started running rough.before i got the car stopped the engine quit.i looked under the hood to see water running out of the gaskets.i checked the radiatorto find no water and also noticed the overflow tank had none.i pulled the dipstick to find all the remaining water to be in the oil. The vehicle was towed under and extended warranty to the dealer of which it was puchased to find that the upper intake had either cracked or burst.the dealer refered to the damaged part as a plentium. This occured at 89,000 miles.the dealer replaced the damaged part and put the engine back together.the dealer advised me to keep a watch on the car to see if any changes develop.at the first three thousand mile oil change the vehicle had lost oil andi also added water to the radiator.the vehicle was also back to the dealer before the oil change for loss of gas mileage and a few other concerns.when i arrived at the dealer for the oil change they pressure tested the engine and asked that i leave the vehicle for them to check out a detected problem during the pressure test.the repairs done during this time involved the gaskets again, and also the heads where warped and they repaired them.at 106,000 miles the dealer requested that i replace the engine.the dealer tested the engine again to determine an internal coolant leak. Now the car has a loss of water and also has started to burn some oil. There are numerous amounts of complaints about this same problemwith this engine and something needs to be done.this particular engine is in all oldsmobile, buick, pontiac, and chevrolet made vehicles.all the owners of these vehicles need some assistance.

Consumer states that when trying to start the vehicle a fire started in the engine compartment. Contacted dealer.

In early 1998, i purchased a 1998 oldsmobile eighty-eight brand new from reliable oldsmobiledealership in cleveland, oh. Although the car is a few years old, the problem i am complaining about began around may 1998.i went to the dealership on numerous occasions complaining about excessive, loud noises that were coming from the engine.the first time i went was june 1, 1998.each time the dealership tried fixing or doing something different, but they never fixed the problem.i endured the noise and the problem because i did not know of anything else to do.while traveling from georgia to ohio last summer (2003), the car finally broke down.the dealership in tennessee determined that the problem was a defective tension pulley.this defective pulley also caused an extensive amount of residural damage to the engine.this was the noise i was hearing .when i contacted the general motors company (the oldsmobile division has shut down), they ignored me except for telling me that my warranty had expired.i recognize that it has expired.however, the problem arose long before the warranty expired and could have been fixed long before it expired but for the oldsmobile dealership's failure to properly diagnose the problem.i do not think it is fair that a dealership can fail (deliberately or not) to diagnose a problem covered by the warranty while the warranty is in effect and then scream that the warranty has expired.particularly, after one of its own dealership diagnosed the problem.if the dealership in tennessee could diagnose it, then the one in ohio should have been able to do so as well.i wish to be reimbursed for the cost of this repair, which was $1944.67. I am not asking for the cost of the hotel room and the wages i missed, but it should have to pay for that as well.

My car has the same problems described in the latest gm recall in cars with the 3.8 l motor in which oil leaks out onto the exhaust manifold and could cause a fire. I have contacted the number given but it showed my 1998 olds 88 is not covered even though it has the same motor and problem in the recall.

While driving, there was an awfull smell inside of the vehicle.vehicle started to overheat.mechanic said plastic intake manifold had a hole in it, and was leaking anti-freeze from radiator.plastic intake manifold had to be replaced.consumer states that the whole in the plenum was caused by a faulty egr valve, per machanic and gm rep.(car was going to burst into flames)-please see reverse side.consumer feels that this is a major safety hazard and life threatening, and is greatful for not being harmed, but wants this problem resolved so that people who own these vehicles, wont be in danger.consumer also feels that, shouldn't there be metal plenums instead of plastic. *scc

I purchased vehicle used mar. 1,2002. At 51000miles ibegan to have a leaking antifreeze problem (of dexcool) and i had waterpump replaced and then coolant thermostatabout aweek later for leaking..at about 53500 miles, presently,on about jan. 10,2003.i quit relieing on driving the 98 olds 88 and now this vehicle is at wally mccarthy's service

The intake manifold degraded, which caused coolant to leak onto the engine, which resulted in the connecting rod breaking and going through the engine wall.the dealership had to replace the engine.tsscc

The vehicle would not start because the intake manifold leaked antifreeze into the cylinder.*nlm

While drivingless than 35 mph, the consumer noticed the vehicle did not gain any speed, followed by the engine losing power. The vehicle was towed to a technician who then informed the consumer thatthe manifold needed to be replaced. Please provide details.

Fractured plastic (!) intake manifold (upper plenum) resulting in loss of coolant over the course of about four weeks until the problem was finally diagnosed.had to have this problem analyzed and eventually remedied at a cost of around $700.00 total.why on earth is this crucial component plastic?

The manifold on the consumers vehicle was replaced at his expense one year agoand now there isa recall on the fuel pressure regulator, which the consumer believed somehow affected the manifold. Gm stated the defect did not affect his vehicle.after the engine was warmed and started, it would take a couple of tries and then the vehicle would surge when starting.the fuel pressure was leaking.the vehicle continued to lose coolant. *sc

Consumer states vehicle has a plastic intake manifold assembly.the component melted causing coolant to get into engine.mr

Consumer received a recall letterregarding the fuel pressure regulator. Prior to receiving the recall letter consumer's vehicle experienced failure of the engine intake manifold. Consumer is requesting reimbursement of expenses incurred to repair vehicle prior to receiving recall notification letter.

I purchased a 1998 oldsmobile 88 in march of 2003, i put new wiring on the vehicle approximately in december after i had the vehicle checked because the check-engine light was on.the check-engine light started coming on again and the car was using all the water about every 10 miles, i took the car to a repair shop where they told me that there was a problem with the intake manifold.after leaving the repair shop, i stopped by a store and was inside about five minutes and the car wouldn't start right away, i had to try starting numerous times before it would start.on my way back home the car slowed to about 40 mph and wouldn't go any faster, even with the gas to the floor; it would only get slower.after getting back home, the car wouldn't crank back up at all; it wouldn't even turn over.i bought the car back home that same day and checked the internet for any recalls on the vehicle and noticed that there was a recallin february 2004.

While driving,\ the check engine light flashed on the dashboard and remained on. Then, the vehicle stalled.driver was unable to restart vehicle. Noticed that coolant leaked from underneath the vehicle. It was towed to the dealer, and mechanic determined that the intake manifold needed replacement.driver informed the mechanic that this problem occurred more than once ,and has not been resolved.

When starting the vehicle, the intake manifold had blewout and caused the vehicle to be non drivable.the dealer was notified.*sccthe "explosion" woke up the neighbors.there was smoke but no fire.bby

White smoke expelled from the exhaust pipe and the engine stalled.it was discovered the sleeve which sealed the exhaust gas as it entered the intake manifold leaked.*mr...

Engine hydro locked when a crack in the plastic intake manifold allowed coolant to be sucked into the engine cylinders, causing the engine to lock up while my wife was driving it. Fortunately, no accident occurred, but this seems to be a very common problem due to what seems to be a design flaw by gm. We had to have the engine replaced, and the intake manifold, at a cost of $5,400.00. We heard that there was a class action lawsuit because of this problem, but people were just afforded a short time to act on it, and we were not even notified. Is there another suit that we can be a part of? we should not have had to replace an engine with just 44,000 miles on it.

Gm has a plastic plenum/manifold on their cars that become defective after 60 to 70 thousand miles. Due to the heat that the manifold is exposed to, the part will than leak.when this part was made from aluminum it would not cause these problems.i have replace this part 2 times in 2 1/2 years.gm will not help with the bills because i have over a hundred thousand miles.but the part only has 65 thousand miles on it.i have gone to 2 auto repair shops and all i tell them is i am losing coolant and they know what the problem is.they said they replace these often.they replace these so often that now there is a after market that this part can be purchased from.my husband is a mechanic and knows what to look for on our regular maintenance, and that is how this was found.if people don'tcatch this coolant loss in time they could blow their engine.if people are not aware of this problem how can they watch for it? *la

Car was running rough, esp. On starting.made appointment with dealer who couldn't look at it for a week.we realized it was losing coolant, but there was no apparent leakage under the car or hood, etc.filled with coolant, drove approx. 4 miles then engine light came on and stayed on.checked oil and it was over "full".called the dealer back with the new symptoms and was told it was a common problem with this type of car to have coolant leak into the oil (then into engine) and it probably needed manifold work $600.--$700.had car towed to dealer where they found the manifold did need to be replaced.in researching, we have found that this is a common problem in 88's and sometime results in engine fires.we are wondering why there hasn't been a recall and why would the manufacturer use plastic in engine parts!?

The intake manifold on mt 1998 oldsmobile 88 failed recently. The plastic on aluminum intake manifold is very susceptible to corrosion. Apparently mine failed and all the water drained from the engine. The repair bill to get the car running again was $1838. I am told by severalpeople that this is a common problem on gm cars.because of the common occurance of this problem, i would like to think that a recall is in order.

When turning on theair conditioner it blows out a funny odor that smells like urine.mechanic said that the blower didn't dry properly and held water, which caused mildew.

Intake manifold warped, causing coolant to leak onto engine.vehicle has been replaired. Consumer feels the problem is due to the design change, the intake manifolds used to be made of metal and now they are made of plastic.

I went to start my 1998 oldsmobile 88, when i heard a loud pop when i turned the key.i turned the key off, and smelled gas and antifreeze.i opened the hood and found that fluid was leaking from the back of the motor, above the heads and below the intake manifold.my intake manifold gasket had ruptured, spilling fuel and antifreeze out of the motor.

The plastic fuel line split and leaked fuel into the engine compartment of my mother's 1998 oldsmobile 88.had she not smelled the fuel and parked the car, i'm sure there would have been a fire.

My 1998 olds 88 backfired upon starting and blew up the plastic intake manifold. The force of the explosion destroyed the engine cover and the fuel rail. The engine is the 3800 v6.the vehicle has 21,000 miles but was older than 3yrs, thus it was out of warranty. Because gm would not offer any financial assistance for the repair, i had it repaired myself. The explosion was caused by a leaking fuel pressure regulator that vented back the intake manifold thru a vacuum line.this situation looks to be exactly like a recall on very similar buick cars. It was nhtsa recall # 03v473000on nov 12th 2003.i believe the recall should be extended to cover vehicles like mine.

While entering my garage at a slow rate of speed and my foot on the brake, the car suddenly surged forward. The vehicle stalls while driving due to leaking fuel pressure reglulator valve failure. Yh

I just bought this used car on jan 1, 2013.i noticed a smell from the car but wasn't sure what is was and bought the car anyways. Well a couple weeks later my boyfriend was checking my fluids on the car and noticed a fuel leak under the hood, so we went to auto zone and bought a fuel line that cost around $30, he put it on, still leaking, well we figured since the fuel line that we bought wasn't precrimped it wasn't going to work, so we went to the junk yard and got the exact same part off another 1998 oldsmobile 88, figured since it was precrimped it would work, not the case, fuel still leaking under the hood, so we went to the chevy dealership in nashville and bought the very last fuel line in the state around $120, which the difference between this one and the other two is that it is 6 ft. Long, so we put the new 6ft fuel line on, well it stopped leaking under the hood, and discovered 1 week later that my vehicle was leaking fuel under the car by the back passenger wheel, so we put a fuel pressure sensor on the vehicle figuring that would control the fuel, because we heard that if that goes out it will cause fuel to leak from weak spots, well almost 4 mo. Later my vehicle is still leaking gas from under the car by the passenger back wheel.this is my daily driver back and forth to work. I found a recall on this and would like my issue to be addressed.

Paint on hood of care is flaking off. Started with a small spot several months ago, when i washed my care today the garden hose washed several flakes of the hood paint away. The size now is bigger than a dollar bill. The paint isn't sticking to the primer.

I went to the dealer and complained that the paint was chipping.i had in hand 4 estimates and each paint/body shop arrived at the same conclusion, "paint laminate" problem.every person who wrote an estimate told me that this was a gm problem.the last place i went to was the gm dealer in countryside, il, (celozzi-ettleson).one of the service consultants (kevin anderson) talked to the boss (darren d'andre) and returned with a paper indicating to me that the warranty had expired once the car was three years old.
