Air bag light flashes continuesly

Bombilla que indica bolsas de aire parpadea en el panel de control y dice air bag off

"takata recall" when the car is started the airbag light starts blinking .i have taken my car to 2 dealerships and they have informed me that it is the clock spring in the car. And that it was unsafe to drive because if i were to get into a wreck or if someone was to hit me and my children the airbags would not deploy . The clock spring in the staring will also controls the passenger side airbag and that will not deploy as well .

The front and drivers side was severely damaged in my 2009 nissan sentra after being hit by a ford f250 super duty. No air bags deployed in this accident. There were injuries from the driver of the car and the passenger of the vehicle.the glass in the car shattered and door was completely crushed.the tyrod in the vehicle was also damaged as well as some structural damage to frame under the door and back drivers side door.car shut off completely after impact.

So i was driving my car at night and it was raining that day. My speed was 40mph when i was making left turn on a highway, and then all of sudden one of my back tire on the right pop. My car goes out of control and made 180 degrees turn. So i end up rolling my car. Luckily their was no one coming from other lane. At the end i was surprise that none of my airbag deploy. Also my car got total.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan sentra. The contact stated that the air bag warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the sprial cable and the front pasenger side air bag control module needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 98,400.

The air bag warning light pop on when i was stopping for red light. The car has not been in a crash ,fire , or flood. The air bag module must be a manufacturer problem, this is not no routine maintenance problem. There are other nissan models with same problem.please don't let manufacturers get away with this, it is putting me and my passengers in very high danger. This is a item only manufacturers have easy access to.i payed alot of money for vehicle, please add my vehicle for recall , there's no where else to turn to.thank for your help and consideration.

The airbag exploded on driver's side, knocked be unconscious for a few minutes, when i came too the car was out of control. I hit a iron pole in front of wal-green's. The vehicle was in motion at the time.the car was totaled by the insurance company, in which they picked up the car and took it away.

Driver side air bag alert blinking. Nissan claims no recall and states that they must replace the air bag in order to run diagnostic tests. My car is in perfect working order so my question to you is; what constitutes a mandatory recall? must consumers wait until there are a certain number of incidents before it is determined a faulty part?

I closed my passenger door and the air bags deployed on the passenger side front/rear seats and doors. Car was parked and there was no accident. Updated 1/29/14updated 01/29/14

The contact owns a 2009 nissan sentra. The contact stated that the air bag indicator began flashing. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. The manufacturer issued two technical service bulletins for the air bags, but no manufacturer recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

2009 nissan sentra frontal impact 40mph with no airbag deployment.

Front passenger side airbag on our 2009 nissan sentra is not disarming when our 8 year old son, who is 67 pounds, is sitting in the front passenger seat.

Takata recall car stalls out and dash board lights up with every warning signal, every time i brake to quickly when hitting a red light but check engine light isn't regularly on. My problem matches another type of 2009 nissan sentra problem but my exact model is not recalled. Purchased brand new starter, alternator and battery to no avail another recall says mass airflow sensor and fuel pump.

I have gone through 5 batteries in 6 years one blew up under my hood. I changed the positive battery cable assembly after that happened.it hasn't helped in keeping batteries for more than a year in this car. I have had the system checked everything comes back normal. I can charge anything in my car while the car is off and no key in the ignition. I would think that there would be something wrong with that. My doors lock/unlock inconstantly when using my fob to perform either function. I have to do it manually. The gas tube has pulled away and is unstable. My vehicle has shut offtoo many times to count unexpectedly while in motion and stationary. It happened in a supermarket parking lot,on an on ramp to get on a freeway, in the middle of a street. Aaa knows me well.this has been going on for years i have written about it before on another website, but this is the first time i have seen this website.

I have a 2009 nissan sentra i bought it a few months ago and everything is fine until i need to get out of the vehicle to do anything outside it the door automatically lacks when i'm outside and close it closed and it happened to me 4 times i had to get out of the vehicle to do not stay out of the vehicle i have to lower the windows or have a spare key in my wallet

At first the rear doors started not to unlock, now all the doors except for the drivers will not unlock with the power locks.you must manually flip each lock to open the doors.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan sentra. While driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle stalled and all the instrument cluster warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was restarted manually in order to restart. The failure occurred four times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 74,000.

Cars sputtered, died. Re-startedseveral times, drove to save placed pulled over. The intake duck was missing. When we took it to dealer, they said they had seen this before. The only people who have worked on the car are nissan dealers.

While driving to work on the beltway about 1 mile prior to the exit, the engine shut off along with any electrical equipment. Was able to pull to the side and get towed to a dealer (not nissan) where they diagnosed a "blown engine". Had transferred the car to a nissan dealer for warranty disposition and diagnosis. Have been waiting over 1 month for an answer. We have tried contacting nissan corporate and regional personnel and seem to be getting the run around.

During normal driving, reach the traffic lights, engine stall when the brake is applied at the stop light.afterwards, i can restart the car normally. This has happened a couple of times, about one month apart.

After warming up and driving for a bit, my car dies at random times.i am able to immediately restart it and go.usually it dies when i am coming to a stop at a light but it has died while sitting in reverse in a parking spot waiting to be able to pull out.this started a month or so ago and has happened randomly since.

I'm currently financing a car. My oil runs out too fast. In one month i probably used 1000 miles max and i've already had to get a oil change 3 times. I'm afraid my engine is either going to lock up or blow up and as a young driver i'm very scared of my safety especially when driving on the parkways.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan sentra. While driving approximately 50 mph, the contact stated that he applied pressure to the brake pedal and when he attempted to accelerate forward, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact had no prior failures and this failure was the first time it had occurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised the contact that there were no failures and that if the failure occurred again to bring the vehicle in since it was still under warranty. Thecontact did not inform the manufacturer nor was the vehicle repaired. The failure mileage was 9,070.updated 05/03/11*ljupdated 05/16/11

Approx. 5/26/15 after opening and trying to fuel my car at the gasoline station i noticed the fuel filler tube was loose. This station (usa gasoline) had recently installed new nozzles on the gas pumps. Due to the loose filler tube on my car, i had to drive to an arco station to complete the fueling of my car. On 6/10/15 during normal maintenance (oil change, check fluids, etc) i asked the shop to repair the loose fuel filler tube. They refused, saying i had to have the repair completed at an authorized nissan dealer. I drove to the nissan shop, they said i had to call nissan north america for authorization. I never received a recall or any notice about fuel delivery problems, my nissan warranty expired 3/25/15. Shouldn't fuel systems be covered under some type of safety designation? my nissan sentra 2009 has less than 30,000 miles on odometer, shouldn't fuel systems problems be considered a defect in design or workmanship?

Driver side door locks do not work with car remote. Battery was changed in remotes and still does not work. Key to override door locks does not work. After hitting the open lock button on key remote for 5 min non stop it finally opened all doors. Extreme safety hazard. I refuse to lock car anymore until i can get to dealer to repair the locks and remote lock sensors.

I have been getting grinding noises from my transmission since the fall of 2016. Took the car into the georgesville nissan shop in columbus, oh where they stated they can't recreate the noise or hear it even though the noise is noticeable when the car starts to move after sitting still for at least half an hour. It sounds as if someone isn't pushing on the clutch before changing gears, the problem is though this is an automatic transmission. I have gone to the shop a few times where i've been given the same thing, they can't recreate it. My car was under warranty at the time and now it's not. I feel as though this was them trying to not replace my transmission under warranty. The car was around 90k miles when the problem started and i've been there two or three times. Now my car is at 123k miles and i am no longer covered by the warranty. I am currently at work and can not upload my receipts from my visit but will send pictures when need be. I'm sure i have a video i recorded of the noise to, if not, i have a dashcam that i'm sure has recorded the sound many times over.

During normal driving, reach the traffic lights, engine stall when the brake is applied at the stop light.afterwards, i can restart the car normally. This has happened a couple of times, about one month apart.

My vehicles transmission warranty ended at 120,000 miles.my vehicle has about 145,500 miles.i've read online these vehicles with cvt transmission have issues with repair code p0744. They have a service bulletin for older vehicles except mine to replace transmission valve body assembly. I called nissan consumer affairs and was told they cannot help because warranty expired and vehicle is old. All i'm asking for them to cover most of the repairs or all of it. In this case vehicle car was being driven. Vehicles rpm fluctuated? jerked and lost speed, then speed would increase. Repairs is going to cost me over $1200.00.

Vehicle driver side seatbelt is loose and will not tighten to secure driver is safe, passenger seatbelt (front side of driver) is locked up and will not allow passenger to buckle up.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan sentra. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, she attempted to engage the brakes and the vehicle exhibited a grinding and knocking noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 100 and the current mileage was 61,000.

I was recently involved in an accident on 4/15/17 when my brakes on my car stop working we tried to stop but unfortunately it didn't we even tried to put it in parking gear but it still keep on going.

The vehicle failed to stop due to brake vibration and instability and hitting another vehicle, and my son died in the accident due to severer injuries

Brakes make loud squealing and grinding noise starting as little as 8 to 10 thousand miles even when pads and rotors are fine. The steering column pops and jolts slightly when turning starting at 27 thousand miles. The car makes a clunking noise when taking moderate to hard right or left turns at any speed. One tire sensor has already gone bad at 20 thousand miles.

Any time you step on the brakes they have a very loud squeal when backing up. (backing out of a parking spot in a parking lot). Have to pump brakes while backing up to get squeal to stop. Has done this since vehicle was purchased in august 2009 to date. Have had several different mechanics, including a nissan dealer, look at the brakes at least 10+ times and they found no issues. Also when you step on brakes while driving to come to a stop there is a loud scraping noise coming from the passenger side front. Again nothing found by nissan dealer.

I purchased an 09 sentra brand new sept 24th 09 since day one when i brake they grind and the steering wheel shakes they fixed it around 8200 miles and it started again 7 thousand later. Originally they said the pads were glazed and the rotors had hotspots! anyway maybe its the type of pads they use. Im tired of it and just want smooth braking. I researched this and found several other complaints made by 09 nissan owners reporting the same thing. Obviously there's a problem and should be recalled. If you have to brake fast the whole car shakes.

Car parked on parking lot, turned on, pressed brake to shift to reverse, let brake pedal go starting backwards movement, pressed brake pedal and stuck in up position, hit several times the brake and brake system did not respond, hit a wall, pulled the emergency brake, andshortly after brake system responded.passenger witnessed attempts to brake with no success.damage to back corner of vehicle.vehicle is 2009 sentra, under warranty not yet a year and very low mileage, requested vehicle towing to local dealer since not yet a year old. Nissan drove and could not see anything wrong and refusing to do a full service even under warranty because of "legal issues " and asked i called nissan corporate, which i did (file: [xxx]), and also called local dealer where i bought it.reported to insurance who advises not to touch or drive vehicle.looks like abs system failure.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

My car accelerated with my foot on the brake with me pushing as hard as i could.i had stopped to get the mail in front of my house, so had my seat belt off.i have to also open the door just a tad, because the paper container is down lower.when it wouldn't stop and my driveway, which it was going across was slightly hilly, the door came completely open and i got dragged and then i turned loose and the car kept going. Fortunately the front right mirror got caught on a tree and it stopped right at the edge of my neighbors yard.

My car swerves too much on the freeway. Since purchasing the car in 2009, i have been having issues with the car. Even after taking it to several dealerships, i am still scared i am going to die due to the car. The several dealerships i am taken the car to have claimed there is no problem even though thousands of other people have experienced it too.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan sentra. The contact stated that while traveling 2 mph making a sharp left turn, a clunking noise emitted from the driver side of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the steering column needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 16,800 and the current mileage was 17,620.

While crossing the street from one parking lot to another the steering wheel locked up on my 09 nissan sentra. Was going less that 5mph. The steering wheel could not be turned at all.the engine was still running and was in drive. After about 30 or 40 seconds attempting to turn steering wheel either way it finally went back to normal .drove car about 50 miles back home with no further problems.. Took car to dealer the next day and after looking at it most of the day the said they could not duplicate the problem. I am afraid to drive this car any distance or speed.

The airbag exploded on driver's side, knocked be unconscious for a few minutes, when i came too the car was out of control. I hit a iron pole in front of wal-green's. The vehicle was in motion at the time.the car was totaled by the insurance company, in which they picked up the car and took it away.

My girl friend was driving are, 2009 nissan sentra at about 40 mph , she attempted to make a left hand turn, the car would not turn , so she had to go straight ,and try to turn into a parking lot. The problem is the electric motor (servo)shorting out in the steeringcolumn . To fix theproblem you have to replace the hole steering column . The servo and power steering computer are attached. Factory part cost 1600.00$&600.00$ labor to install.

Several months of intermittent power steering loss and steering would not return until the engine was turned off then back on.car almost impossible to steer when happens.finally lost steering on 2-21-14 and did not come back after turning car on and off. Needed total replacement of steering column part no 48810-zt50a part cost $1,944.83 labor $439.75.took to garage and they were unable to diagnose until steering was finally lost for good.this problem could have easily led to an accident if happened during turns.

This is a 2009 nissan sentra purchased new from reed nissan in 2009.in january 2016 the horn failed completely.for some time before that the horn was working only intermittently, and for approximately 6 months before that the car would make a clacking sound when turning.on january 28, 2016 we brought it in to reed nissan to investigate.the technician diagnosed the condition as "technician finds that the steering column assembly is faulty causing noise and binding."we were concerned that since this is an electronic column not replacing it might lead to steering failure, and the lack of a horn made the car unsafe.reed nissan indicated the entire steering column had to be replaced.the cost of this service was:parts$1,956.48labor$ 289.88freight $ 80.00(to replace steering column).

When starting the car you hear relay clicking in and out and power steering fail shows up. Had to restart car several times to get power steering to work. Car was put in the shop and dealer told me had to replace steering colunm. Contact nissan to file a complaint. File # 6901381 to see if they where going to pay for it, car has 47395 miles and not even 1 1/2 year old yet. I see no recall on car as of yet but had to pay the dealership $880.02 to get car repair. Still haven't hear from nissan what if they are going to do anything. I car in my mind has a safety issue and needs to be recall for the power steering lost.

Was towed in and the lf ball joint is rusted and fell apart.the stud and nut are still attached to the knuckle and the ball pulled out of the socket.this allowed the suspension of drop that corner of the car down and pull the cv axle out of the transmission.just pulling out from home.

When temperature drops below 40f low tire pressure light comes on and will not turn off. Tire pressure is fine upon checking.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan sentra. When the contact started the ignition, the tire pressure monitoring system illuminated a low pressure reading on the instrument panel. The front driver's side tire was properly inflated and the warning indicator no longer illuminated. On a separate occasion the identical failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the tire pressure monitoring system sensor was replaced. The failure recurred two additional times and each time the tire pressure monitoring system sensor was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the repeated failures. The approximate failure mileage was 34,000.

My car was stationary. I had just drove through a parking lot and stopped to make a left hand turn across two lanes of traffic. Once traffic cleared i accelerated through the first lane but my car would not go faster. My foot was all the way down on the accelerator. At a few seconds and near miss collision my car decided to finally go. It felt like it stalled and i had no control. This only happens in the summer and all i can think of is that the car is getting to hot.
