Nissan sentra car problemi have nissan sentra and had a problem on jan 9, 2008. My wife driving car and suddenly both airbag blow out and broke front windshield glass. After this incident i contacted nissan north america (1800nissan1) and submitted compliant (file# 6000221), after two week (jan 21) nissan send some one to inspect my car. During this time i call numerous times to get them repair car or give me rental car but they told me they are investigating problem so they can't do anything.i also called state farm and submitted claim for this accident. But since this is nissan car defect i would like nissan to fix this problem.currently i don't have any car and i did not fix my car because i thought nissan will fix this. Finally on feb 09, 2008, i received letter from nissan saying this is not their problem so then can not help me on this problem.i am worry about thousands of nissan driver on the road and this can happen to anyone and can be a big accident.i would like to get help from you on this issue. Sense i bought the car the air bag light is blinking.with the airbag fuse in the indicator light blinks,with the fuse out it stays on solid.im not that familiar with how the air bag system works.it is a srs airbag system.what can i do to get the light to turn off and be assured the system is working and will function properly incase of a accident?

The heat shield over the catalytic converter rusted prematurely and fell off.the dealers claimed this part was not essential and no repairs were made.still concerned me.i also have had an unusual history of electrical related problems, to wit: (1) power window switch replaced twice; (2) instrument light switch; (3) fan switch; (4) alternator, (5) both engine cooling fans.i think there is a primary electrical problem causing all of these failures from the time i got the car, but the dealer says they must be coincidence. I never received any notification for the recalls involving the antilock breaks that i have or the front springs.i have always had one problem with antilock breaks that they have never been able to diagnose.when driving on ice, if i become stuck and the wheels spin any, then the antilock break light comes on and will not go out unless i shut off the motor and restart the engine. While driving smoke started coming out of the dashboard and stopped.checked under the hood no smoke was located under the hood. The fire started on the driver's side , far left hand side of the dashboard.
I drove home and locked my car doors and went into the house.the lights and everything were off in the car.the next morning i walk to my automobile and opened thedoor and a heavy odor came from the car...i looked in and the steering columnand wheel was fully melted.the steering rod and part of the steering wheel was the only thing recognizable in the car.there was a large puddle of melted plastic and wiring that burnt through the floor mats and to the carpet.part of the dashboard was also melted due to the fire.i called my insurance and they sent out an inspector the investigate the situation said that the fire was put out by a lack of oxygen.if i would of had the window cracked the whole car would of been burnt.this is a very serious problem because this could of caused exponential damage to my townhouse,and could even of killed me.the car is in excellent condition with low miles.i take very good care of it and to have this happen is out of my control. I am afraid to get near the car due to another possible electric fire.i was told not to enter the car becuase it has damaged the air bag sensors.black smoke has filled the car ruining the seats and even some personal items.when the fire took place, it dropped the melting plastic to the floor, ruining the carpet and front seat.i need to know what legal action i can take to get this settled.
There is a major leak comming from the oil pan.it appears to be comming from the pan itself.specificly the pans' seal.
This valve failure caustes the engine to stop at low speeds one you start the ac. By contacting the dealer, i was advised that it is a common problem with this car and nissan is aware of the problem. To fix it, we have to by the new part in addition to a harness which was not a part of the engine (additional item) which is not included in the original design.
Engine fails at random to start (not battery problem) due to apparent malfunction of the "park" safety feature.engine off with car fully in park.when key is turned engine & battery is fully charged, lights etc come on but not engine.car does not respond to jumper cables. When the airconditioner was turned on the engine will stall when i slow down or stop. At times it presented safety concerns because the car would loose power or stall during taffic. When i had the repairs done, the local shop had the iac valve back ordered because the dealer ran out of stock.

As purchasing my car in march of 2000 ..i was envolved in an accident1 month after purchaseto brakes failing had been in the shopwhere purchased 2 times the second timewhich they kept for 1 weeksaid the couldnt get the abs light to come on it never goes off...theproblem is getting worse the brakes squeak and get hottook it to the shop in durantthey told me i had major tbrake trouble to contact who i bought it from so i did the told me they didnt have the equipment to work on nissan absbrakes but they have had it in teh shop twice for this problemi took my car to midway nissan in sherman texas they found that my car hasmain body damage in right leg door pillar, front end also bearings ,speed sensors, wire harness.needs glassand seal for sun roof ,needs 2 speed sensorsans needs new modules,and 4 warped rotors .i have a promisary note signed by them stateing the would fix my abs light ans sunroof .....i feel like this car is a safety hazardthe machanics told me it was a very unsafe vehicle ......

I purchased a new throttle cable from pierces nissan on 10/01 and installed it myself. I noticed immediately that the throttle cable was very stiff and hard to move.before starting my car i checked operation of accelerator pedal and found that the throttle was slow to return to idle position.upon further investigation i noticed that the new cable was lubricated with a very heavy grease that impeded movement of the cable.during the winter months that followed the throttle returned to idle so slow that it was dangerous to drive the car.during the these past summer months it is somewhat better, but still sluggish to return.i have contacted my dealership several times and they have ordered three replacement cables, all with the same proplem.i have also contacted nissan motor company twice with no results.i feel that it is very dangerous to continue driving my car with the winter months approaching.any help would be appreciated.

The contact owns a 1995 nissan sentra. The contact was driving approximately 60 mph in rainy weather conditions with the windshield wipers activated and suddenly the wipers failed to operate. The contact drove with caution to the side of the road and waited until the rain subsided; and then resumed in operation. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnosis. The technician informed the faulty motor linkage contributed to the failure. There was a recall associated with nhtsa campaign id number 98v093000 (visibility: windshield wiper/washer: linkages). Wiper blades quit working while driving on freeway on rainy night.had to pull a side and waited 3 hours for the rain to stop. Wiper motor linkage failed. There is recall on the wiper motor linkage on nissan sentra 200sx for 1995 to 1998 cars. But the dealer said this car is not in the recall list where as the problem is absolutely same as described in the recall 98v093000.
Consumer stated thatwindshield wiper motor arm is made of inefficient plastic materials. Consumer tookvehicle to the dealer for a recall repair, and the parts for the repair only lasted for about three months before breaking down again.
