Read complaints for NISSAN ROGUE (2014)

Whenever the front-seat passenger buckles his or her seat belt even a few seconds after we start our rogue, put it in gear, and start driving, the "passenger airbag off" light illuminates and the passenger airbag remains off indefinitely.we are able to fix the problem only by stopping the car, shutting it off, and making sure that the passenger buckles his or her seat belt before the engine is re-started.this is clearly a dangerous problem.we spoke to our nissan dealer's service department about this, and they told us that they are aware that this kind of thing happens, but they have no fix for it.

Passenger airbag doesn't show active, even when passenger is seated in passengers seat.

Got into a car accident and the airbags did not go off

The front passenger side airbag remains off (sensor light is on) when an adult passenger is in the seat.this begins when the car is started in park and can remain on even driving with high speed (40 or 50 mph).this occurs intermittently.sometimes the airbag will turn on (sensor light turns off) after a length of time.other times, the car will need to be restarted.it is most reproducible when the car is already on and then the passenger sits.a video of the problem is available here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf-eatbazhkthe owner could not upload file type on website, but included a link here instead.as noted below, the owner first observed the problem in december 2014.the recall repair was completed in july 2016.the owner has reproduced the problem at a dealership in july 2017.to date, the owner has had to bring this problem to nissan a total of six times. Documented history of problem:the owner has brought this problem to the attention of gurley leep nissan in mishawaka, in on the following dates (dates correspond to the invoice date):12/15/14 ' owner observed problem and requested a check of the passenger side air bag.gurley leep nissan performed zero point resent function.11/14/15 - owner observed problem and requested a check of the passenger side air bag.gurley leep nissan made no repairs7/7/16 - gurley leep nissan completed passenger side airbag recall repair.5/15/17 - owner observed problem and requested a check of the passenger side air bag.gurley leep nissan performed zero point resent function.5/30/17 - gurley leep nissan does not recommend repairs.7/7/17 - gurley leep nissan does not recommend repairs.7/8/17 - owner remained at gurley leep nissan until she could replicate the problem.she did this with technician in the car.

The passenger airbag doesn't sense adult passengers and the deactivated light is lit.nissan won't do anything.i guess it doesn't matter to them until someone gets killed.

The air bag light comes on sometimes when someone sets in theseat. If you raise your butt up it will go out.the other thing is the seatbelt on that same seat willlock into place and you can't lean forward to reach the radio, etc or any other buttons onthe middle of the dash.it is the front passenger seat.

Passenger side airbag light indicates airbag is off despite the fact that there is an adult sitting in the seat weighing 125lb. After turning car on and off several times light will eventually stay off indicating airbag is now active.....updated 08/12/15 .

Intermittent and inconsistent:with passenger in passenger seat, the airbag off light is on.i have had the dealer look at it on 3 separate occasions and they cannot find anything.passenger side seat belt light comes on intermitently (as if passenger is not wearing seat belt, but really is.i believe these are serious issues with the sensors in the passenger seat...

We got a recall for the passenger air bag light. I have had our rogue in the nissan shop 2 times due to air bag light on (intermittently). Each time they said they adjusted the computer but the light still stays on sometimes.the last time the light was on when we drove away from the dealer. The dealer representative said the passenger has to weigh 120 lbs or the light will stay on. My wife weights 110. The factory representative also stated that sometimes if the passenger is not seated properly, the light will stay on, but suggested i take the vehicle in for a 3rd time. We are retired and cannot afford to keep driving one hour to the dealer and not get it fixed.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while traveling 25 mph, the air bag warning light illuminated intermittently. The failure recurred on several occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 200 and the current mileage was 1500. Updated 08/11/14*ljthe consumer stated thethe air bag light would illuminte while his wife occupied the passenger seat. Updated 08/13/2014

I was driving in heavy traffic taking my wife to work.i was going about 15 to 20 mph because of morning rush hour traffic in chicago is heavy. I turned my head to answer my wife and being distracted i turned my head back and saw the big suv in front of me was stopped and i slammed on the brakes and slid into the rear of his suv.only a small ding and scratch i seen and my car had the bumper broken, hood bent up, crinkles in side fenders. Even the police could not believe how the car was all damaged at that type speeds and no air bags deployed. Anyway i was told probably i was going too slow and slid into the vehicle in front and maybe there is a certain force to make them blow off. I got a little over $5000 damage. Like the car is as thin as a pop can and no air bags deployed.the body shop when they repair it is going to check the air bag system... I called nissan and they claim a supervisor will be calling me back in a few days...

My supplemental air bag warning light is on with a steady blinking what can be done about this i feel it is a malfunction with the air bag system

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rouge. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated. The dealer declined to repair the vehicle per nhtsa campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags) until the contact paid for the diagnostic testing to confirm that the vin was included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 43,000.

Yes got into a really bad car accident and the airbags did not deploy only ones that deployed were the side ones on the driver and passenger doors

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving various speeds, the passenger side air bag indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to buckeye nissan (3820 parkway ln, hilliard, oh 43026, (614) 771-2345) where it was diagnosed that the sensor for the air bags was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

Front driver side airbag is faulty and, according to the dealer, must be replaced. It has never been deployed.

Passenger air bag light stays on even if a person is in the passenger seat.was told there was not a recall on this. Transmission would not shift out of first gear, had to pull over, turn ignition off what a few min. Then turn car back on.transmission shifted after that. Toke car in for recall.

Nissan rogue.consumer writes in regards to replacement parts not available to repair recall notice.the consumer referenced recall numbers 16v219000 and 16v244000.

Passenger air bags are off in spite of passenger being present.

Passenger airbag light remains on despite adult passenger weighing between 120-150 lbs in passenger seat.problem was present since first day purchase of vehicle brand new. Brought back to dealer 5 times and was told there was no problem with it--that it was functioning to manufacturers specification. Was told on first trip back to dealer to have the passenger sit toward the back right corner of the seat (really?!?!?!? right before we have an accident?!?!?).second trip to dealer was told that an empty water bottle under the seat was the cause (again, really!!!!!??????). Took several videos of the malfunction and nissan still refused to do anything about it.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice where it was diagnosed that the two sensor occupant controls needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 21,000.

Gas cap is loose, ordamaged check engine light is on i took my toeast valley nissan6354 e test dr, mesa, az 85206(480) 324-8800 never fixed the problem my car check engine light is on since 7/25/16 also report to nissannorth america my car is not safe to drive .

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the air bag warning light failed. The vehicle was serviced per nhtsa campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags), but the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The air bag warning light worked the first two times, but failed the third time while the passenger seat was occupied. The manufacture was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 33,400.

This vehicle has had passenger air bag problem since last year when i brought it to the attention of the tasca dealership. Was told it was fine yet the problem persisted. The passenger air bag light illuminates indicating air bag off, when a passenger of proper weight is seated in the passenger seat. Returned with vehicle 3/8/16 at which time they discovered that there was a problem. The vehicle remained there until 4/15/16. The problem continues and now the recall. I'm not sure what will be done differently now with a recall in effect when this problem should have been resolved before car was given back. Failure to fix this problem should result in a buy out of this lemon. Vehicle returns to dealership for recall and other problems with vehicle on 6/28/16

The passenger airbag light, informing that the passenger airbag is off, remains lit even if an adult over 100 lbs is sitting in the seat. Problem is intermittent. Happens while the vehicle is stationary or in movement.the light remaining illuminated means the airbag would not deploy in the event of an accident because it was turned off. We believe a faulty seat sensor or computer system may be at fault. We have only just noticed that this was happening with the vehicle. The car is currently at the dealership, they are not saying it is a known fault and blaming wear and tear--the just turned a year old, however when you search the internet there are several people that complain of this issue. There is no recall for the 2014 nissan rogue for this issue.

''takata recall" air bag warning lights continuing to stay on either stationary or actual driving of vehicle been at dealer for over 5 months after submitting complaint with nissan they finally have manufactured a part after all this time. Have looked at vehicle many times at service dept. Completely gutted vehicle and really concerned about carfax at least not to mention safety after put back togetherif it will be right then.

Passenger side airbag lights has stayed on with front seat passenger in vehicle. This has happened with vehicle both stationary and in motion. I had to shut off vehicle and restart to have airbag light on dash go out. This has happened several times. Took picture the last time.

The airbag was being recalled and brought to repair shop to fix. Now the airbag light is on again after it was fixed.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving 70 mph, the passenger side air bag light remained illuminated. The vehicle was repaired, but the issue recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 11,800. The vin was not available.

Airbag sensor issue. Light coming on dashboard. Nissan dealer asked for $140 for diagnostic test before the issue can be evualted, but nissan rogue 2014 has recall on this airbag issue.

Passenger air bag is not reading adults. Dealership has fixed once, was involved in accident, did enough damage to damage radiator, and airbags did not go off. I had a 14 year old in the front seat. My passenger air bag is once again not reading. This was my most recent incident with my vehicle.i was making a left hand turn, when accelerating my vehicle seemed hesitant and momentarily stalled withing my turn. This has happened numerous times, while trying to accelerate. My car had been warm during each time. My transmission has already started slipping, i was notified there was a recall on my vehicle for the transmission. My back seats seem to vibrate. They vibrate so much, they move side to side at high speeds on the highway. (70 mph) this is the legal speed in my area. I feel my vehicle is a lemon with all the recalls that have been fixed ion it already and is not safe. My total millage is about 63000.

The passenger seat air bag shows off even when someone is sitting in it. The flashing light on the dash drives me insane, i see there was a recall for this issue however entering my vin# i get results for no recalls found.. Cofused.. Car is new to me ., this has been an issue from the beginning.car fax shows recalls against the vin . Any information on how to proceed is appreciated.

I have 8 recalls on my car and no one contact me about them. 257792,257984,273304,231792,228070,227302,202526,212508.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the dealer was unable to supply the parts within a reasonable time frame for nhtsa campaign numbers: 16v149000 (fuel system, gasoline), 16v219000 (structure), and 16v244000 (air bags). The dealer scheduled an appointment and then canceled the appointment months ago. The contact was unable to determine when the vehicle would be repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

No recall sent for my air-bags. Indicator light on for passengerair bags while driving suv i am concerned.

We were on i-77 heading to florida when we noticed that the front passenger air bag light was on, indicating that the air bag was not functioning. It stayed on for a couple of hours until we stopped to eat. When we started the car again and the light was off. Then approximately and hour later the light came on again and stayed on for roughly 30 minutes and went off again. It did not come on again, but we took the car to daytona nissan and reported our problem. The service manager there had them check it out and then told us that they found nothing wrong with the system. He told us that my wife did not weigh enough to trip the sensor. Her weight usually varies between 116 and 122 pounds. Based on his statement, she could never ride in the front seat! the light has not come on again that we have noticed.this is not something that you always check when riding in the car.

Supplemental air bag warning light

Nissan dealer contacted me over 3 months ago. To tell me there was problem.but have yet to do anything

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving approximately 10 mph in the driveway, the vehicle accelerated independently and crashed into the contact's residence. The air bags failed to deploy. The driver was injured and received medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 3,400.

I was driving on a highway doing 60-70 mph at night and a deer jumped out of nowhere straight in front of the car hitting the hood which opened up protecting the windshield and me inside. The air bag deployed (only on my side, not passenger's) leaving 2nd degree burns on my right hand (as estimated by a doctor at the hospital). I was given an ointment and bandage. The car itself is totaled with the front completely bent (see attachments). My issue is whether the air bag is supposed to be that hot as to burn. I can understand it'd be warm especially after driving for a while but hot to the extreme? i'm not sure if i have a strong case as to sue the manufacturer for the burns but is there anything else i can do to be compensated for this bodily injury as well as pain & suffering?thanks!

While sitting still, our vehicle was hit head on by another car.although the other car was not going fast, the impact was near middle of the front of the car.just under $4000 of damage was done.both the air condenser and the radiator had to be replaced.neither air bag was inflated even though my wife and i were both in the front seat.our seat belts were being used.neither of us was injured.the accident occurred while exiting a parking lot onto a road.the other car turned into our lane.

Passenger side air bag was turned off by sensor when wife sat there.

The airbag sensor on the passenger side has been diagnosed by a nissan dealership as inoperable and needs to be replaced.the car has only 58k miles on it.clearly the fence from the first recall which effected thousands of other 2014-2017 nissan rogues needs to be expanded. A passenger sitting in the front passenger position of the car is not going to be protected by frontal airbags.

Passenger seat airbag sensor does not detect a passenger when seated with the seat belt fastened. Red blinking airbag light and yellow airbag light are illuminated on the dashboard. Took the car to the dealer and they retrieved the computer code b1018 dtc occupancy sensor malfunction. Dealer stated they would charge their hourly rate to investigate further. Nissan corporate said that i will need to pay for the investigative hourly rate because the 2014 nissan rogue select s awd is not included in the 2016 nissan passenger occupancy sensor recall.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken into the dealer four times. The technician was not able to determine what caused the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 13,000.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator flashed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (orange coast nissan, 2850 harbor blvd, costa mesa, ca 92626, 714-576-0680) where it was diagnosed that the seat sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called larry h miller nissan (1320 plum valley ln, highlands ranch, co 80129, (720) 274-5200) and was informed to schedule service. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 60,674.

Srs light comes on remains on - this is at only 50,000 miles.

Air bag light on dash came on.

The vehicle was purchased two weeks ago. The front passenger seat would not recline, after taking the vehicle to a nissan dealership i was told the front passenger seat had distorted bolts and the wires that were under the front eat were not placed correctly. These wires were for the front passenger airbag therefore; the front passenger airbag would not work if an accident has occurred.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Passenger airbag indicator light shows the airbag is off when an adult (meeting the weight requirements) is seated in the front passenger seat. This issue was subject to recall several years ago. It was fixed at a nissan dealership then and the problem is now re-occurring.

I took vehicle to nissan to repair the airbag recall and now my airbag dummy light does not go off whether or not a passenger is the passenger seat or not.i believe the airbag has been disconnected.i have a separate indicator light that does turn off when a passenger is in the front driver seat, but the dummy light still stays on.dealer will not contact me and i am having difficulties getting in touch with someone at nissan to repair.i would rather have my vehicle restored as it originally was as i had more confidence the airbags were connected.

Transmission cooler was replaced the week 6/05/2017 by carriage nissan of gainesville, ga and on 6/16/2017 the nissan rogue was losing power on the drive back from atlanta(approx.. 3 hour drive). Rogue was taken to fenton nissan in knoxville, tn and nissan agreed to replace the transmission but would not pay for the transmission cooler. Rogue was picked up from fenton nissan on 7/3/2017 and on 7/5/2017 the rogue lost power and the transmission stopped working and my wife was stranded 40 miles from home. Rogue was towed to fenton nissan and upon investigation found that an unauthorized part was used in the transmission cooler by carriage nissan and all the transmission fluid had leaked out. A new transmission cooler was installed free of charge.(we paid $680 for the first defective cooler) during the time that the rogue was at fenton nissan computer diagnostics test was performed prior to releasing the rogue to us and no codes showed up. Less than a week later the rogue starting acting up and once again took it back to fenton nissan and was informed it would cost $3000+ to replace the electrical harness, nissan has agreed to pay 50% of the cost. I feel that unauthorized part caused undue stress not only on the transmission cooler, transmission, and engine but also the electrical harness as a result of all the power surges. There have been over 468,000 recalls for nissan for electrical harness failure from 2008-2013 and also some 2014 nissan rogues. My rogue vin number doesn't show up on the recall list but it safe to assume that since this has been a problem from 2008-2013 and some of 2014 then why couldn't effect my vehicle.

Passenger airbag doesn't show active, even when passenger is seated in passengers seat.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While the vehicle was stationary, it vibrated and stalled without warning. The vehicle was able to restart after numerous attempts. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000.

I have qty 2, 2014 nissan rogues, both have the $1420 navigation system and neither of them work.the directions are not accurate and can be off by miles, or just out of the area altogether.it will not display sub streets and just tells you to get to a main road.the nav, radio and control module reboots often.i have had the dealer look at it and in one of them they upgraded the maps data file, this did not help.i do not use the navigation at all and have resorted to my old garmin, windshield mount, which works perfectly. Nissan should have just embedded a garmin in their dash.total waste of money [xxx] & [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I want nissan to buy it back because of the all recalls and under the lemon law.

Clicked on the keyless off/on button while in "drive" when parking car. The car, at a alarming rate of speed started going backwards. I duplicated this action for my husband who thought i must have had the car in "natural" the car again started going backwards. Both events when performed on flat land.

Nissan recall number 15vo32000 is for a factory defect involving water leaking into passenger side floor mats and causing an electrical short and vehicle fire. Nissan has not notified us to get this corrected by a nissan dealer. Nissan needs to proactively stand behind their products before this becomes an electrical fire hazard or a health hazard from the mould and mildew.

My lift gate shows a warning saying it's i'm open while i'm driving, my vehicle will continue to beep and the locks will unlock and lock on their own. While the warning is going off i can't use lane assistance or blind spot assistance.

Water intrusion on drivers side floorboard during rain. Known issue on other nissan vehicles where welds were missed or seals were overlooked. As stated in other recalls and bulletins, this is a potential fire hazard as can lead to a short in kick panel components. Nissan refuses to address.

The blower motor for my hvac is showing that it is blowing, yet nothing comes out. This means that my defrost will not work making it dangerous to drive.

Vehicle was being parked. As driver applied brakes, vehicle accelerated forward, jumping sidewalk curb and collided with tree at approximately 10mph. Engine continued to run, driver managed to gear to reverse and backed vehicle away from tree, off the sidewalk, back over the curb, and into parking slip. The manual supplied with the vehicle claims that it is equipped with event data recorder capable of storing information prior to and during an accident.dealership claims the vehicle is not.

2014 nissan rogue has a possible ignition switch issue. When vehicle ignition switch is shut-off, all electrical systems, radio, lights etc., locks fail to either shutdown completely and electric locks disengage. This may lead to further issue such as in the gm faulty ignition switch issue and the subsequent loss of life.nissan company has been told, but fail to acknowledge the potentially dangerous issue.

On sunday january 11th, 2014, my family and i were on our way home. After stopping at a service station my husband pulled onto the highway and was accelerating to the appropriate speed and the car just got stuck at 6500 rpm's and 60 mph. It stayed that way for about 5 miles,we could slow down but the rpm's were still stuck at 6500 and the engine was making a horrible sound, the car would not accelerate and several times we had to ride the shoulder of the road. When we finally reached the road we live off of my husband was able to slow down and turn while turning the awful noise got a little lower but a new noise was heard, a whining sound. After turning, the car lost all gas, nothing happened when the accelerator was pushed and then finally it started to go again. We arrived at our home my husband opened the hood and told me to press the accelerator a little and then he saw small puffs of smoke. I smelled something like burning rubber while sitting in the drivers seat and my husband said he smelled something sweet under the hood.this car was bought brand new on january 4th, 2014, it had 25 miles when purchased. The mileage on january 11th was around 500. This is a dangerous vehicle, i am waiting on the dealership to call and let me know what they find.

The factory-installed navigation system has several issues that make it unusable. These issues include the following: the entire navigation system will randomly restart several times while using it, erasing all trip data; the screen will freeze when trying to use it, making it impossible to change the volume, turn off the unit, or do anything. Brought the vehicle to a nissan dealership and they denied that the unit had any issues. What's worse is that there are no available navigation or software updates for the 2014 nissan rouge, and nissan has no intentions on upgrading anything. The navigation update site says there are no updates available for the 2014-15 nissan rogues, but there are several updates available for 2016 and newer models. This is absolutely unacceptable, and has caused several distracting issues while driving or trying to navigate using the built-in navigation that i paid a premium for. Please investigate this further. I'm not sure what else to do. Also, please note that the "when did this happen?" date is irrelevant because this has been an ongoing issue since purchasing the car. I brought the vehicle to the dealership for service about 6 months ago, and they confirmed there was nothing they would do to fix it for me.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving at 40 mph, the tuning signals remained activated and a low abnormal noise was coming from the vehicle. The failure occurred multiple times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 500.

While driving, slowing down for intersection, complete electrical system shut down, engine was still running.pulled into parking lot, no power steering, no brakes.got the car stopped, put it in the park, i was locked inside as all systems were shut down.engine was still running and would not shut off.headlights were still on.had car towed, while running to dealership.

Driver door actuator doesnt work proper locks door and cant unlock then sometimes doesnt lock all doors at all

I purchased my 2014 rogue from bates nissan in killeen, tx on 9/4/14 and from the start on the full tank of gas given to me when i purchased the vehicle, the engine would stall at stop lights/stop signs and going around corners. When i called the bates nissan service department, they told me that i was using the wrong type of gas, that i needed to use premium. We then started bringing it to the next closest dealership, garlyn shelton nissan in temple, tx. We have brought it there a total of five times now, even leaving it overnight several times. They say that they cannot duplicate the vehicle stalling while it is there and therefore can do nothing. I provided them with codes that i had my stepfather pull off the vehicle after it stalled in my parents driveway, but nissan said that they cannot use those. The only option that they give me is to leave the vehicle where it is when it stalls and have it towed to the dealership without restarting it so they can read the codes that way. This is impossible because it is unsafe for me to leave my vehicle in the middle of very busy city streets until a tow truck can come. It never stalls just sitting somewhere convenient. Nissan did allow some testing to be done this time, but gave me the vehicle back saying that everything was fine.

Driver side floor broad corridison. Saw on website that this can cause a fire. Notice the damage after i bought the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that water leaked onto the front driver's side floor. Also, the vehicle stalled while driving at an unknown speed and the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to causeway nissan (609-978-6700, located at 435 nj-72, manahawkin, nj 08050) where it was diagnosed that the synthetic factory weld was worn and was expensive to repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with case number: 38205874. The manufacturer stated that the warranty was expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 56,645. *lnconsumer stated she also had an electrical issues since the water had been coming in.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving 75 mph, the vehicle suddenly began to shake violently. The contact pulled over and turned off the vehicle. When the contact attempted to start the vehicle, the rpms increased significantly, but the vehicle would not accelerate. The vehicle continued to shake violently and then stalled. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the dealer. The manufacturer provided case number: 37120573. The dealer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 77,000.

I was driving at about 75 mph in va on hills when the lights on the dashboard blacked out. I could not see the rpms, actual speed i was going as the speedometer and central panel that displays the mileage drive were all black.i started to panic thinking the car had just shut down - i cannot recall if the radio panel was also off.my instinctive response was to step on the gas to see if the car was running to which i felt the car speed up but i still could not see anything on the dash.i subsequently pulled over and shut off the car.the dashboard lights and readings were visible when i started up the car.in hindsight, the dash had appeared to flicker earlier in the drive but i thought it was just my visual angle from looking down through my bifocals. I reported it to my dealer to have it checked under warranty.the dealer's staff noted they could not recreate the problem and noted to bring it back when the problem was occurring, if it recurred.not sure if they really tested it as the maintenance was done in less than two hours which also included an oil change and tire rotation.

Vehicle suffers loss of power when pulling out from a dead stop into traffic and may hesitate several seconds before regaining acceleration. When it does this,it will then at times continue revving the engine to extreme rpms and will not reduce rpms to the normal as it should, placing the vehicle in neutral will allow the rpms to lower and placing the vehicle into gear again it will drive normal. There are no failures being shown in the computer diagnostics when checked by dealer, and nothing is failing.no set time frame or pattern related to this issue, may do it several times in a row and then not for several hundred miles after. There is no warning or feel that this is about to happen .

Tail lights on drivers side stopped working.light bulbs were replaced but this did not fix the problem.signal light and brake light continue to work but no tail lights.nissan dealership is currently trying to resolve the problem but are having trouble locating the cause.they tell me they are in contact with nissan technicians via e-mail and expect that they will have to replace the wiring harness.the car is 3 1/2 years old and has just under 42000 miles.the car has been to the nissan service center numerous times to adjust other recall issues and four times to fix the air conditioner.i can only assume that any electrical problems the car has could only come from defect or from previous repairs done by the service dept.i believe i have a reasonable expectation that the electrical system in any new car should certainly last longer than 3 1/2 years.

Back bottom brake lights has not worked in a year.nissan mechanics did a electrical diagnostic and cannot find the problem.

For the last 2 years in the summer when the temperature reaches over 85f outside, my ac stops working and blows hot air. When the outside temperature is below 85 it works perfectly fine. 2 years my heating also went out in the dead of winter and only blew out cold air. Took it to the dealership and they reset the computer which seems to have fixed that problem. Over the last few days my ac/heating system has made a rattling noise and today it went completely out. I turn it on and the fan doesn't blow hot/cold air. According to multiple online searches, this is a known issue with the 2014-2017 rogues that nissan has yet to address or issue a recall on. And i would have to replace the whole system that will cost well over $2000. I live in chicago and being without working heat in the winter is a serious hazard. How many complaints need to be made before the manufacture takes it seriously

While driving on the highway at 70 mph, the vehicle made a very loud "clunking" noise and started descending rapidly, i was able to get over to the breakdown lane, the error message that came on was "emission system error" i was instructed by the owners manual to check the fuel door to see if it was open, it was not, they also said that it may be that there was under 3 gallons of fuel in the tank which there was not. The manual also stated that it was okay to drive the vehicle at 45 mph, when i started the vehicle again, another error message came on when i tried to go, it stated "chassis system error".i took it to the dealer, darlings nissan, they hooked up to the computer, they cannot re-create the issue, yet the service department has told me that it is not safe, that they do not want me back in my vehicle until they have found something, they have had my car for over 2 weeks with nothing being found. They are having a regional tech come to test drive extensively to see if he can find something. I have read all the numerous complaints on this vehicle and i have come to one conclusion, nissan does not make a good quality product and i am sorry i ever switched from my explorer to this horrible contraption of a car.

Im driving in the freeway and it show the warning left side passenger door is open and the locking system start engaging on & off and light inside on & off also.

2014 nissan rogue.attorney representing consumer writes in regards to a destroyed/ damaged electrical wiring harness.the consumer requested to be reimbursed for the vehicle repairs.

I was driving two hours straight at around 65mph. Suddenly the vehicle lost rpm's. I tried to give more gas, but it would not go above 2000 rpms. This was very dangerous as people were passing me left and right at about 65mph and i couldn't go faster than 20. I couldn't get off to the side of the road. I pulled over. Turned off the rogue, turned back on. Still had the issue. There were not warning lights. I let the car sit for about 30 mins. Suddenly it was working again. I drove it home. Thinking the issue to be a computer fluke, i had the issue again the following week on another 2 hour drive. Same issue. This time i called nissan. They told me my vin does not fit the recall for the other rogues of thesame yearthat are having this issue. I'm guessing because nhtsa does not list nissan rogue select. They only have nissan rogue on the list. I wrote in select on my own. I looked up the part issue for the rogue cvt issue. It's the same part in the rogue select. As long as i drive under an hour i'm fine. But this is very unrealistic and very unsafe. I have a video of the whole thing. This site doesn't allow video uploads.

I was driving the vehicle at 45 mph, whenthe stirring wheel and breaks locked and the vehicle came to a complete stop in the middle of rush during large amounts of traffic. The vehicle's windows would not go down and the vehicle would not start back up. When the i tried to start it back up the engine would shake erratically and make a loud noise. The vehicle had power but you couldn't lock it, or roll any windows or turn off the hazard lights.

When starting the vehicle in the morning, there was a chassis control system error.when trying to drive, the accelerator is not very responsive and it is like the engine is being held back.once driven a bit, then other errors begin to come up regarding awd malfunction, and all the collision and blind spot displays are illuminated in error.took the vehicle to the dealer once and they reset the computer and replaced a ground wire.a few days later it happened again.took vehicle back to dealer and they kept it for over two weeks and replaced the abs module. Had the vehicle back about a week and it is now doing it again.vehicle is over 36k miles and was when dealership first worked on it.now that is has happened a third time, the dealership is saying it is out of warranty and they don't know what to do.this error affects being able to drive this car safely and nissan needs to figure out what is going on.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced jerking, lunging, and a loss of power once it came to a complete stop. In addition, the esp faulty warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that there was an electrical failure. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. Nissan of downtown la (4111, 635 w washington blvd, los angeles, ca 90015, (213) 477-7361) was contacted to schedule an appointment. The dealer informed the contact that the vin was not included in a recall. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 16v149000 (fuel system, gasoline), but the vin was not included. The dealer provided case number: 36341350 for the call. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the vin was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

I previously put a complaint in, no one contacted me.i was told by nissan representative they will not cover the problem (06/04/2016).i've taken my vehicle to two other nissan dealers and they stated there is a serious problem with the car, but, were i purchased my vehicle at told me i was heavy on the gas, that if there was a recall on mycar parts, the number stamped to that part, would of flagged my car.what nonsense.well, here's the pictures that i'm uploading.the fuel tank didn'teven come on even at 1 mile left to gas station. Like i said i bought my vehicle in concord, nc.(modern nissan of concord). I would like nissan to step up to the plate and correct these problems. It's not good customer service, and word will get around. I don't promote nissan or my rogue anymore.due to poor service, and not taking care of the consumers complaints and fixing the problems. Please read all the complaints about the rogues, nissan, doesn't stand behind there brand, because if they did, we wouldn't be online complaining.i expect the nhtsa, to do investigations on our complaints, so far no one contacted me. I say there is computer software glitch, if the gas tank doesn't illuminate.also, the gear shift, only illuminate when it wants too !!i guess they will back up nissan and not remedy the problems.i'm about to call the local t.v. Station and have them investigate, and get some answers from nissan, whythey aren't taking care of the consumers.

I was driving on the interstate coming from indianapolis, indiana going 75 miles per hour.after three hours of driving, my car suddenly began decreasing it's speed and would not accelerate.the check engine light came on andi had to pull over to the side and turn off my car. I called for a tow truck using my insurance company., butafter turning off the car for fifteen minutes, it was driveable again. The check engine light stayed on the entire ride home, and for about two weeks.

Since thanksgiving day, 2017, my car has had 8 instances where is will not on the first try.it takes approximately 8 - 10 tries to get it started and then it drives fine. The brake pedal also does not like to press down when i am pushing the "start" button. I have taken it to coon rapids nissan and kline nissan in minnesota and both companies tell me that if they can't reproduce the problem they can't investigate and fix it.i am told to bring the car in when it happens again so they can hook it up to diagnostics.i did that the two oil changes ago and nothing came up on diagnostics.this is either an electrical problem or a fuel problem.this issue is not caused by weather.it has happened during warm, sunny days; cold snowy and wet and rainy days.the car has been driven for a period of time, it's parked for a few hours, and then it just won't start.the mechanics for starting the care are very loud, the brake pedal won't push down and it just won't turn over and start.so far it has started after 8 - 10 attempts.

While coming out of a complete stop on city streets, the engine will not accelerate. This has happened twice. Additionally, when we take the car for drives longer than an hour on the interstate or up a canyon (we live near mountains) we have had it where the engine does not accelerate at all. We have taken it into a family mechanic and he says its our transmission and that it should be covered in warranty. We took it into nissan, they run the diagnostic test, says that our car has overheated 7 times and that it has to do with the transmission. But of course it's not covered by warranty. They say they can replace the whole transmission for an insane amount or add on an exterior cooling system for a little less insane amount. We've only had it since february.

The issue presents itself when the temperature is above 90 degrees and i have been driving the car for at least 20-30 minutes. When the car is at a complete stop and you transition from the brake to the gas, the car does not immediately respond. It is as if you are not pressing the gas pedal at all. You can press it almost all the way to the floor before the car will respond. When it starts to occur, it is consistent with occurring every time the car comes to a stop. There does not appear to be any other issues while the car is in motion. This is extremely dangerous when you are making a left or right turn or accelerating from a stop light. I have almost been rear ended several times because the light has turned green and my car will not immediately accelerate. I took the car to the dealer on 9/15, about 2 weeks after this started. I was informed that this might be due to the fuel pump recall. They replaced the fuel pump and drove the car without experiencing any issues. As i was driving home from the dealer that afternoon, the issue presented itself again. I called the dealer and was told to bring the car back the following morning. They kept my car for 3 days. They were able to replicate the issue at the dealer while connected to a computer. They spoke to nissan engineering and sent them the files. Nissan engineering didn't know the cause and said to "drive it until it gets worse". My car was almost at the end of the 36,000 mile warranty. They replaced a brake sensor to see if that worked. I picked up the car and brought it back to the dealer the following week when the issue presented itself again. They recorded more data to send to nissan. Again, they requested more data from me yesterday. While in the car with the technician recording the issue, my car would no longer accelerate over 20 mph while revving the engine. This car is unsafe to drive.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle switched into safe/limp mode and independently decelerated to 30 mph without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 99,000.

I bought new nissan rogue select 2014 on july 13,2014. For the first month it was working excellent. Suddenly i started hearing a click sound ( some times louder). This sound i feel coming from engine near right front wheel. I reported this in my first 1000 mile inspection, but service department said it is normal.then i drove same vehicle of my friend, i did not feel any such sound. During my first service ( 6 months service) i again mentioned same thing to service dept. This time they explained that this is coming because shifting from back gear to driving mode. But if it is normal then why other vehicle does not have this kind of sound. Also, some times it is very scary. We feel that something is broken. But we are not getting any help.thanks

Vehicle was in motion both on interstate and at red light when cars began to slow and would not accelerate above 20 mdh

Limited too 3000 rpm. Sudden lose of all acceleration. Hot and cold weather same outcome. 75000 miles all maintenance up too date.

The blower motor for my hvac is showing that it is blowing, yet nothing comes out. This means that my defrost will not work making it dangerous to drive.

When not moving my rpm is at 1, when going over 70 mph my rpm is between 4-5, running very high.m and will not downshift.car is very loud due to rpms running very high.

Problem with fuel system /fuel pump is there a recall for this auto?

The contact owned a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving a popping noise was heard as well as she felt the vehicle dragging. After stopping the vehicle and checking under the hood she so flames in the radiator area of the vehicle. The fire department was called to the scene and extinguished the flames. A fire department report was filed. The vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not determined. The contact stated she attempted to notify the manufacturer of the failure however, they were unable to verify her information as the owner of the vehicle. The local dealer was not notified. Also, the front driver, passenger side and rear passenger side exterior door handles had all broken off previously and were replaced. The contact stated that the manufacturer was made aware of the door look failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

Occasionally while driving and pushing on the gas pedal the vehicle does not accelerate. Had many close calls when turning in front of other vehicles

Drove home, engine dies. Started car but when put into drive (cvt tranny) it lurches forward and dies. Over and over again. Was almost into garage when this happened.

The contact called on behalf of a family member who owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the vehicle started idling rough without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The timing chain was not replaced however, the camshaft and variable valve timing was replaced. The failure recurred. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 49,677.

I purchased this vehicle in 2018 and within a few weeks had issues of the engine light coming on, i brought it back to the dealer where i purchased it they were unable to identify the issue, i brought it to the nissandealership they replaced a sensor but did not believe it was the issue, the light went off and on a few times, the forman of the shop was on vacation and was going to check the vehicle out when back, the engine light went out and remained out so he never looked at it. On october 29th my engine light came on and my vehicle has quickly began to buck and feel like it is going to stall. Since purchasing this vehicle i have had nothing but problems from the entire seal of my windshield coming off and having to have the entire winshield replaced only to have the seal around it begin to come off again within 2 months, my tailgate has completely died and will not work on manual or power, water leaks in and the carpets get wet. This vehicle has been nothing but ongoing issues since i purchased it.

Took my 2014 nissan rogue to nissan dealer, because the car was slipping and losing rpms. Dealer told me that the radiator had failed internally causing transmission issue. They are saying that i need to replace the radiator, hoses some other stuff and the transmission. They estimated it at this time at $6000. I was on my way to work 40 minutes from my house and had to have the car towed back to the dealership. The car only has 75,000 miles on it.

I was headed south on the i-5 (southern california, lots of constant traffic) when my car stopped accelerating after about 45 minutes. Going uphill, i put my pedal to the floor and wasn't going over 60mph, my rpms reaching above 4. My car made a whining noise every time i tried to accelerate. So i put my hazards on, took the closest exit, and let my car rest for about 5-10 minutes. I got back on the freeway after resting and not a minute or two later and the same problem occurred. I put my hazards back on and just pulled off on the shoulder, letting my car rest again for another 5-10 minutes. I tried again, now reaching the top of the hill and was able to finally coast down the hill the problem happening again, but this has happened multiple times before. The first in the beginning of july, the second and third around august and september, and then now. It only happens on drives about an hour long (or longer) when i go out of town.

While driving at 65 mph in traffic on a bridge with no shoulder my rouge died.the engine shut off completely, my breaks locked up and were hard to push.this bridge is extremely dangerous and has fatal accidents on a regular basis.i have never felt so scared and helpless as i prayed the other cars could see that i was not moving.this is extremely dangerous and could have been fatal.

While driving in the middle lane travelling 60mph the engine stalled, i was fortunate i had a chance to coast my vehicle to the shoulder avoiding getting hit by vehicles around me. Very dangerous situation that should be addressed asap.vehicle was towed to my place due to not able to start.

When driving up a hill my engine would essentiallyvapor lock and i couldn't go past 45 to 50 mph. I would be flooring the gas pedal and my car would be going 45 to 50 mph up a hill.i took it to my mechanic and found it to be the intake manifold runner code p2004. That part comes with a new intake manifold on my car. He did some research and found there was a flaw on the p2004. Itwas made of plastic and it would cause part of the manifold to be stuck and not receive air. Whilehe was doing his research to order the part i needed, he found that nissan knew about this flaw and had to redesign the engine for the rogue.this part was no longer made.this is happening to so many rouge owners that the part needed is back ordered. The supply is so low and the demand is high right now that thenissan dealership in irvine ca, raised their price for a intake manifold from $300 to $550. On top of the fact that nissan is aware of the issue they are price gouging customers. I firmly believe this needs to be a recall issue and nissan needs to take responsibility.no car that is made in 2014 should have an issue that it cant go up a hill at 45 mph.this is a safety issue that needs to be addressed asap. I called the dealership and the nissan consumer affairs and they are not responsible for what happens to the car. Any car on the road that cant go above 45 mph is a ticking time bomb for an accident to happen on thefreeway..

I was in traffic on the freeway and 20mins into my drive the car accelerated no more than 40mph. I banked into an exit and parked car in a safe spot. The engine was on, but the car would not accelerate at any speed. There were no warning lights to alert me. I turned the car off and on but did not fix the problem - i eventually had the car towed after 40mins

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated while driving 80 mph, the vehicle started stalling with the accelerator pedal depressed. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 40 mph. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and agreed to pay half of the cost for a new transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

2014 nissan rogue, 88000 miles, regular maintenance completed. Driving on the highway when the engine light came on and the vehicle abruptly stopped accelerating as the pedal was pushed. Could maintain 20 mph, but anything after that required lots of time. The rpms were at 3k or above just trying to maintain 40 mph. Independent mechanic will now be replacing another cvt over 3k cost. Happened with my 2015 nissan sentra at 78000 miles. Please do not purchase a nissan cvt. It is a safety hazard.

Fuel pump failed leading to stall on busy interstate, creating a safety risk for 3 passengers in the vehicle. Nissan failed to notify me ahead of time that the fuel pump failure was under active recall - i could have had it repaired ahead of time. As it turned out, the stall occurred over 375 miles from my home, and forced me to overnight in monroe la, including hotel and rental car costs - as i had to abandon my car there while they waited to obtain a replacement fuel pump. Nissan could have alert me and i could have proactively replaced the defective fuel pump, but they did not despite my using the nissan dealer for routine oil changes.neither dealer nor corporation notified me of the safety risk or recall. The failure has so far incurred direct costs to me in excess of $1000 plus loss of two days of my time, and the near miss risk safety event for 3 persons. I am very unhappy with the vehicle and with the corporation.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph, the vehicle started to lose power, an explosion occurred. The contact shifted into neutral and the contact coasted to the side of the road. No warning light illuminated. The contact stated that a vehicle that was following him alert him that the vehicle was on fire. The contact stated the fire was already out by the time he had coasted to the side of the road. The contact stated that fire was coming from the front side of the vehicle underneath. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the pistonthrough a rod outside the engine cause a fire and that there was an hole in the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also mentioned the vehicle had lost power before and was taken to woodmen nissan, 6840 vincent dr, colorado springs, co 80918, but was not repaired because the dealer could not find a failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

On 9/20/15 while driving on i-85 near montgomery, al the car stop running and would not crankon 9/21/15 car was towed to jack ingram motors montgomery, alon 925/15 jessica, service rep at jack ingram motors called stated that the fuel pump fail and would have to be replaced and part was ordered.on 10/02/15 jessica, service rep at jack ingram motors called stated that part order was canceled by nissan corp. Re-ordered.

I had a severe accident with my 2014 nissan rogue awd which almost killed me and my entire family. It was a miracle that we are alive. However my wife has some injury on the neck....updated 10/20/14 on 9/28 early morning, we were driving (in middle lane) on freeway (i-5 - southbound) at a normal speed and all of sudden i heard a big sound in the front of the car. I was alert but before i could react, the next moment my car rolled on the passenger side and then upside down (on the front hood and front part of the roof) and got dragged and at the same time turned. Finally the back of my car hit the curb with full force and then it rested on the passenger side (between exit 109 and 108) but now it was facing northbound. I broke the windshield to come out and with the help from passersby; i could safely bring my wife and 3 year old out of the car. All these happened so quickly but i remember what happened as i did not blackout. Neither my car hit any other car nor did anything hit my car. And luckily there was no truck or car following us.it's a brand new 2014 nissan rogue which i bought in jan 2014. I still cannot understand how come such a serious failure could occur. The vehicle is now totaled and i have logged a complaint with nissan but i am still waiting for a reply. I want this to be investigated as i do not want other families to experience what we have been going through. Updated 05/21/2015

While driving in the middle of the road at a green light my vehicle shut down ... In drive. I placed my foot on the break to put the car in park no hazard lights came on. I turned the car off completely placed my foot on the break and started the car up and proceeded to place the car in drive once in drive the vehicle shut down leaving all lights on with no hazard lights. I started the car up again placed the car in reverse the vehicle shut down once again in reverse i put my foot on the break to shift back into park. I came to the conclusion that no matter what gear i shift to the vehicle shuts down in gear not moving

Very sluggish when accelerating.very dangerous when merging into traffic on highways and parkways

When driving in exceedingly warm conditions, heavy traffic (such as stop and go) or constant uphill terrain, quick acceleration from full stop becomes difficult. Engine becomes loud, rpms rise to between 4000-6000 but vehicle speed does not exceed 40mph. Engine must be turned off for a few minutes for normal drive to resume.

Car increases in rpm but does not accelerate. Its as if it is stuck in cruise control at 20 mph but you are on the highway trying to do 55. Has happened a few times. Very scary and dangerous

Im driving in the freeway and it show the warning left side passenger door is open and the locking system start engaging on & off and light inside on & off also.

Headlight has moisture condensation inside. The car has only 35,500 miles on it and i've had it less than a year. Without replacement it will reduce my ability to see the road and make me less visible to oncoming traffic.

No recall sent for my air-bags. Indicator light on for passengerair bags while driving suv i am concerned.

Overhead light control pannel fell out of ceiling while car was parked. If it had occured while driving a disrraction or accident could happen.

This vehicle does not notify the driver that their lights are off at night. The dash lights up brightly which gives the impression that the lights are on. The car makes plenty of warning sounds when you don't turn off the lights or if your seat belt is not on but it does nothing to inform the driver their lights are off. No vehicle should be allowed to drive around at night with the lights off. Please fix this. We see hundreds of cars per week driving without lights on. I will be launching a campaign with the media next week to raise awareness of this critical oversight but auto manufacturers and the nhtsa.

My daughter is a young driver. This car allows her to drive without her lights on and does not notify her that her lights are off. The driving lights and dashboard lights give her the impression that the lights are on but the tail lights are completely dark. She was nearly killed by a driver that almost ran her off the freeway. This is a major crisis and i have seen hundreds of cars doing this. Please fix!!!!!

Vehicle has a recall for the fuel pump. Vehicle has been idling rough for over 18 months. I contacted 3 nissan dealers about the recall. Dealer 1: i don't have any confidence in their service dept that they would do the repairs that they say they would do. Dealer 2: didn't think they would be able to get a new fuel pump. They suggested turning off the air conditioner to "fix" the rough idling. Dealer 3: said it would take 2 to 6 weeks (the end of october) to get a fuel pump. In the recall notice from nissan they said the fueld pump would be available in august 2016. The vehicle still has a rough idle and it idles very erratically at times. It doesn't make any difference if the air conditioner is on or off. I need help getting nissan to replace the fuel pump on my vehicle.

I have tried unsuccessfully to have the recalled fuel pump replaced and have been told for over a month it is not available. This in spite of the fact that the recall clearly states if it fails at highway speed it could result in a severe accident. I am a 100% disabled vet and could not deal with such an accident, nor should i have my life or that of my wife put in danger when the dealer could easily remove a new fuel pump from one of the vehicles they have and install it in mine. This is clearly "reckless disregard for human life and safety", and i would like your office to take all steps necessary to remedy this situation. Recall # 16v-149

I was driving on interstate 80 at between 65 and 70 mph in heavy traffic when the car suddenly lost power and quit on me.i had to pull off into the median shoulder of a very busy interstate.i luckily did not get rear-ended since there were cars right behind me as a figured out that i was losing power fast.i did hear on the radio 4 hours earlier that 2014 nissan rogue's were being recalled for fuel pump.i had it towed to the dealer where i purchased it not even a year ago.i purchased it the end of september 2014.they thankfully replaced the fuel pump at no charge because it was under warranty. I was told that my vehicle was not in the recall batch.i want this investigated because i think it does need to be included in the recall.it was determined that it was the fault of the fuel pump that made my car suddenly stop.carousel nissan did everything from their end for me.i had my car back by late morning on april 11, 2015.since this happened to me and i got lucky that it didn't cause an accident.i think there may be a wider recall needed.

This is the same problem the dealer telling that they have fixed. Engine stalls and stops. We escaped a major accident because the suv lost power while driving.

I drove 10 miles and shut the car off for an hour then got back in and entered the freeway to go home.i drovea couple miles and lost acceleration.at 70 miles an hour on the freeway my car was actively decelerating while i was pushing the gas pedal.i let off not knowing what was happening and the car seemed to accelerate some or coasted more freely.i stepped on the gas and the car slowed down again.i repeated this a couple times before deciding i had to put hazards on and pull over.i am so grateful i didn't get rear ended as i had slowed down rapidly with out any break lights to warn others.when i pulled over and put it inpark the check engine light (malfunction light) and also the power steering light came on. It was towed and held overnight until it could be towed to the dealership (apparently nothing can be dropped off when they are closed).

I received a letter from nissan letting me know my car was in a recall due to a deffective fuel pump.they advise me to go to the dealership when i purchase the vehicle that the part will be change and they will take care of the cost.i took the car to auto nation nissan dallas, i was told the part was not available, that they will call me when arrives.two weeks passed, no call.i called the dealer and was told that nissan was withholding the part.this was 5 weeks ago, today 8/4/16 i called back to the dealer and was told that nissan has a back order.that is unacceptable, we are driving defective vehicles and not one is doing anything to help.i need to use my vehicle to go to work everyday, i don't have any other form of transportation.i am putting my life in danger everyday thanks to the lack of responsibility from nissan

So in both of these instances i was driving on a full tank of gas and going the speed limit. The first time i noticed that my car was not accelerating was when i went out of town two months ago. I was driving through buda,tx from dallas on the hwy when i noticed my car was slowing down in speed and did not want to accelerate pass 60mph. Luckily, i was in the slow lane and was able to exit and park my car. I waited a few minutes before taking off again.it took a while for the car to accelerate and pick up speed again once i got back on the hwy (5 mins). On my way back home from that same trip it did fine. Another time it happened again was this past weekend when i was on my way to canton, tx. I had been driving a good 45 mins soing 75 on the hwy. As i approached the stop sign my rogue drove fine until i turned left on the intersection and my car started to slow down and did not want to accelerate pass 10 mph which scared me since i was in the middle of an intersection. I hit the gas pedal twice and was able to drive over the bridge. During both of these instances i did not get a warning on my dashboard or any other signs of indication. Now im afraid to deive my car while i have my babies with me afraid that it will happen again while they are with me.

While at a stop light the car shut down and would not start. Dealership diagnosed the problem as a bad fuel pump.

Vehicle was in motion both on interstate and at red light when cars began to slow and would not accelerate above 20 mdh

Purchased 2014 rogue select in concord, nc,july 2014.vehicle wouldn't start, about 4 months after purchased, used jumpers to get started at home. Then another time i had to use jumper cable to get it started, after i left walmart.had walmart car dept. To check my vehicle. I had a neighbor look at it, problem was probably fuel line.i fill tank up, and will only display between 100-180 miles, before having to refuel. But, shows that the tank is filled.never received a recall letter, regardless that i moved. Sad that i never received a notice regardless that i moved, no excuse. At all.if they can send me emails a lot, then i expect i notice.come on nissan, do your part and acknowledge our vehicles.i paid good money for my rogue.i will remember when i purchase another vehicle, and it won't be a nissan. I will go with toyota, since they acknowledge there problems, when they arise, and have no problem fixing them.that's how nissan is going to lose consumers, by not standing by there product.

First fuel pump replacement was required at approximately 70,000 miles (car would not start).second fuel pump was replaced within 8 months (at 88,000 miles).the transmission warning light came on.nissan corporate replaced fuel pump at no cost.dealership said we only have 12 month warrenty on "second" replacementfuel pump.i appreciated nissan corp covering cost of second replacement fuel pump.

Problem with fuel system /fuel pump is there a recall for this auto?

I have 8 recalls on my car and no one contact me about them. 257792,257984,273304,231792,228070,227302,202526,212508.

Car stalls as if the car is not getting gas.constant pressure on the gas pedal is needed to prevent from stalling at stops.many times there is hesitation when driving as if the car in not receiving fuel. Had the dealer look into once and they had no idea the cause and now it is happening again.

I was driving on i-95, and needed to accelerate, i slowly pressed in the gas pedal, and i notice decreased acceleration and my rpm went crazy! i pulled over to let the engine rest, after 20-30 minutes, i proceeded to drive again and lost acceleration power again! in the middle of the road! very unsafe, finally, i made it to my destination, only because i drove in low gear, scary event... Not comfortable with driving it anymore....i thought you suppose to at least get a warning light on the display, but i didn't.... Now understanding this at all......'

I want nissan to buy it back because of the all recalls and under the lemon law.

Very sluggish when accelerating.very dangerous when merging into traffic on highways and parkways

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While accelerating from a traffic light, the engine stalled without warning. The vehicle was not able to restart. The vehicle was towed to mentor nissan (6960 center street, mentor, oh 44060) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v149000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving various speeds, the fuel gauge and engine warning indicators illuminated. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who was unable to duplicate the problem. The technician then tightened the fuel tank cap and the fuel gauge indicator was no longer illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 132,000.

I was driving my new nissan rogue and stopped at a stop sign. My car than stalled and would not start again. It was towed and is being worked on as we speak for apparently a defected fuel pump. With that said i googled for recalls and this article popped up to inform the owners of the recall. I'm just glad we did not get hurt do to the defected part. Apparently the recalls did not get mailed out yet.this whole experience could have resulted in a accident.

I received notice of a recall concerning a defect with the fuel tank that could cause the car to stall. I brought my car in to the nissan in boardman, oh on may 17th to have the issue addressed. They told me they needed to order parts for it, and that would take approximately 1-2 weeks to come in. It has been over 3 weeks now, so i called to check the status. They said the parts were back ordered, and that they would not have it in until mid july. They insisted there was no real danger and told me to continue driving it.

Vehicle acceleration is inconsistent.the pedal will be floored and the vehicle is barely going.it happened from zero as well as at 60mph.it happens in stationary as well as in motion on highway as well as city streets.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving 15 mph, the fuel pump came apart which caused the vehicle to stall without warning. The vehicle was taken to be repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 42,000.

Since purchasing this vehicle in the summer of 2016, i have had the same issues.the vehicle, after driving it for various lengths of time, slows and appears to lose power.when the accelerator is pressed, the vehicle does nothing.it seems as though the vehicle continues to coast but will not increase in speed.it has slowed down to 45 mph on a busy interstate (with a speed limit of 75 mph) before and will only increase in speed after a decline in elevation (probably due to momentum).the car will not increase speed even if the overdrive is turned off.the accelerator pedal will be pressed to the maximum and the car will not increase in speed.the revolutions per minute (rpms), will not increase either when the accelerator is pressed.all this has occurred on highways where the speed limit is increased and after driving the vehicle for about an hour (sometimes after longer). When i take the car off a highway and come to a complete stop, there is a delay once i try to accelerate again.the vehicle will move slowly after a few seconds of pressing the accelerator and then increases speed very quickly.when driving on a busy interstate, this becomes a safety concern.i cannot accelerate the vehicle when i want to and the vehicle will increase and decrease in speed without my control.

This vehicle was recalled in may 2016 (recall 16v149) i have been told that parts to replace the fuel pump are still not available. This is potentiallydangerous according to the letter from nissan. Shouldn't the maker of a defective vehicle have to adhere to some reasonable timeline to fix the problem?

My 2014 rogue died on the road traveling 30-35 mph. This occurred around 11/16/15.the dealer replaced the fuel pump because it was part of a recall campaign that i was never notified about by email or any other way about the recall.when i got the car back the dealer told me it would smell like gasoline inside for 2 days. (this was very worrisome for me) about 5 weeks later i was traveling at about 55 mph on route 90 west of cleveland and the car died again the same way.the car was towed to the dealer and they returned it the next day claiming there may have been some residue in the tank from the failed fuel pump before.i am upset because i was never notified about the recall in the first place and nissan left me driving a car that they knew would fail.the next issue os that the car failed again the second time and i was not given a reason for the failure the second time and because of that i am concerned this may occur again.

After i took my car to the dealership within it's warranty period to take care of a recall related to fuel injection, all of a sudden, the car's mileage fell way below the advertised level .it was advertised with a city milage of 25/ gallon. I am averaging 12-16 miles on a gallon . I am only 4 year into my car and only 25,000 miles.

Recently i notice my 2014 nissan rogue select is having issues with the fuel pump. While driving, my car would suddenly stall when i step on the gas pedal. It's losingthe gear connection.it's happening every once a while. I took it to mechanic, couldn't detect anything. They said i have to wait for it to get worse before they can inspect it. Omg, i'm so worry and my life is now on a threat!

We brought our 2014 nissan rogue in to repair 3/23/2015 with a serious acceleration issue. The dealer is , verous 1 nissan/ hyundai , were we originally bought the car. The problem is at will the car shutters and looses speed when accelerated. Nissan claims they can not re create the problem and all computer test are negative to any problems. Today i filed a case with nissan north america. I was informed that there is a fuel pump campaign for all 2014 rogues manufactured in smyrna, tenn. Between the dates of 6/11/13 to 6/7/2014. My rogue was manufactured 3/3/2014. Nissan us 1 knows nothing of this recall. We were told the problem was fixed upon pick 3/27/2014.unfortunately, the problem persists and represents a very significant danger to operation. It is an intermittent problem but when it occurs the car shakes violently and does not accelerate properly when the accelerator is depressed. This could cause a major accident. We live in a subdivision for which the exit requires us to cross us 1. Imagine if the car decided to fail to accelerate across us 1 and my wife and kids were struck by oncoming traffic!i have read about theseissues on various nissan sites, cvt troubles and fuel pump/ problems. It is a well documented and know problems for nissan vehicles.

Rec'vd notice of nhtsa recall 16v-149 in early to mid may 2016.with 1st call to dealer, they had no information on the recall.upon 2nd call on 5/31 dealer claimed to be waiting for parts and would call me.upon 3rd call on 6/27, dealer again reported thatnissan still has not supplied the required parts to correct defect.

Fuel problem, vehicle stop when running in the road ("engine stop)

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v197000 (fuel system, gasoline). However, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Car stops running after stopping. Fails to restart but has started after many tries.failure has resulted in the car behind bumping my rear.

Loud noise coming from underneath vehicle when accelerating.vehicle stutters when accelerating and on multiple occasions has stalled when trying to accelerate after coming to a stop.

When i drive longer than 30 mins my vehicle will start losing power. When i stop at a redlight or intersection and began to accelerate again it will not go. It will slowly start rolling and then it will jerk and the rpms start jumping and then it will just take off. I have been almost hit numerous times, but yesterday i was almost t boned with my daughter in the passenger seat because it wouldn't accelerate at a redlight and the light changed a car came thru and thank god they got stopped before they hit us!!!

Our rogue would not start.the mechanic said it was a fuel pump problem. We called nissan and they said there was a recall for 2014 nissan rogue due to fuel pump failures, but that mine was not included in that.i did keep the old fuel pump.

Limited too 3000 rpm. Sudden lose of all acceleration. Hot and cold weather same outcome. 75000 miles all maintenance up too date.

"takata recall"i received the recall notice a month ago and the same day i contacted the dealer ship, i was told that they will order the part and call me w/in a week and since i didn't hear anything after a week i called and made the appt for the following saturday 5/28/16 i took the suv and an hour later i was told by kevin grubic that the suv had 3 recalls in total including the gas pump issue however they dint fixed that one because the pump that they use it didn't work and that i will have to bring the suv again its been 2 weeks and i keep calling and the rep hector keep telling me that the part hasn't arrive and i told him that i will do the complain and he says you can do it if you want. I don't feel safe driving the suv due of that issue and i feel that i am putting my life and family life in danger which is not good for something that im paying on time. I also bring the recall paper and they took the bottom part

My car would not start (it was parked in my driveway) so i had it towed to my mechanic's shop.he diagnosed the fuel pump and checked the alldata repair database to learn that the fuel pump had been recalled. He cleaned out the gunk so i could drive it to my dealership. The dealer told me that my vehicle vin was not a part of the recall and wanted to do a $130 diagnostic. Of course, since the fuel pump was now temporarily working, it would not show up in a diagnostic until it clogged again.i would prefer not to drive it because, according to the recall notice, the fuel pump may cause the vehicle to stall while being driven.nissan is refusing to add my vehicle to the recall even though the problem is the exact same one in their recall, unless i pay for their diagnostic, send them proof of ownership, and such.

Two different occasions:once upon driving on an incline, vehicle lost complete acceleration. Coasted to side of road, turned engine off, waited a few minutes. Started vehicle and was able to accelerate second upon exit from driving on freeway, stopped at a red light, after green light vehicle would not accelerate. Coasted to side of road, turned engine off, waited a few minutes. Started vehicle and was able to accelerate again. Took to dealer asap. Dealer could not diagnose a problem. One occasion, tried to start vehicle in the morning, would not start. New deal battery was purchased less than 1 year prior. Called aaa to jump start. Jump start did not work. Called tow truck. Tow truck driver tried to start vehicle, after several attempts was able to start. Drove straight to dealer, after inspecting for 9 hours, could not find a problem.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the sending unit in the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to part unavailability. The vehicle was previously repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 16v149000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,600.

Nissan dealer contacted me over 3 months ago. To tell me there was problem.but have yet to do anything

Gas cap is loose, ordamaged check engine light is on i took my toeast valley nissan6354 e test dr, mesa, az 85206(480) 324-8800 never fixed the problem my car check engine light is on since 7/25/16 also report to nissannorth america my car is not safe to drive .

At around 60,000 miles my transmission started acting up. I was driving on a hilly highway and my car lost speed and was having trouble accelerating back up to the speed limit. While pushing the gas pedal the rpm would increase and the car would make a loud noise as if it was trying to accelerate but it would not pick up speed. When i got off at the next exit the car would barely move after stopping at the stop. This has happened to me multiple times since then. It now happens if i drive the car for longer than 25 minutes, less time if i'm using the ac or heat. After the car has been turned off for a few hours it works normally again as long as i'm only going short distances. During the acceleration issues you can smell transmission fluid. It just happened again and i had only gone 20 miles on the highway.

Car was running fine. No issues. Parked overnight.april 18, 2018 would not start. Thought it was a dead battery.would not jump. Has been towed and seen by personal mechanic and nissan dealer.they think it may be bcm/ecm issue - but they are not sure - no codes.problem is car wont respond.this could have happened while driving and someone could have been killed.it was sudden and no warning.still does not work at all.dealer cannot with certainty identify source of issue.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated while driving 65 mph and attempting to change lanes, the accelerator pedal was depressed to the floor however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact slowed down and pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and waited an hour before restarting the vehicle and drove the vehicle to the local dealer. The local dealer inspected the vehicle and diagnosed the failure and stated that the cvt cooler and fluid needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,426.

While driving at highway speed, the rpm went up to 4,000 and the vehicle would not accelerate. At slower speeds, there is a shudder or vibration and a lack of power/acceleration. An inspection by a transmission shop indicated cvt transmission failure. Research indicates a long history of nissan cvt problems. The cost to repair/replace the transmission is $4,000.

Cvt transmission is slipping and shacking violently at low speeds

Making a loud squealing noise when you acceleratestarting to slip at times very disappointing have only had the suv since march

While traveling 60mph on i43 in milwaukee, the car suddenly lost ability to accelerate. I was able to coast the car off an exit to the side of the road. The car would only go in reverse. I took it to my local mechanic and magically normal forward driving resumed. Diagnostics showed no issues. I was instructed to take drive the vehicle to the dealer (8 miles away) as they might be able to figure out what was wrong as well as possibly honoring the powertrain warranty (60,000 - i'm at 62,000!). On the drive to the dealership i lost ability to accelerate briefly. Luckily, i took the side streets as was able to pull out of traffic.the dealer still has my car and is not finding any issues. They claimed they drove it extensively to see if the issue could be replicated. Although my odometer showed they drove it about 10 miles total. They wanted to return it to me but i insisted they keep it another day and drive it. So, that's where i'm at. If they don't find anything wrong, i'm left with a car that i don't feel safe driving with my wife or two kids (age 6 and 8). We're headed on vacation this weekend (180 miles away) and i'm going to have to rent a car.

Engine hesitation and transmission does not automatically shift to lower gear

"cvt failure" between march 2019 and may 2019 randomly stalling while traveling and when complete stop, this went on for about 1 month. Most noticeable occurrences were when the temperature warm and/or driving for an extended period of time. Vehicle then shuddered/shake when accelerating. Rpm level would fluctuate between 4k-5k rmps when attempting to accelerate.would not shift up or downward as designed.would randomly downshift causing a forward jerking.most noticeable jerk/shuddering was between 40-40mph.loss of or limited power when traveling up hill.speed would be limited to 60 mph. On may 19, 2019 reverse would not engage unless the vehicle had not been driven for some time, enough to cool down.neutral would not be present either.there was no differentiation between drive/low/neutral. May 20 brought to nissan dealer they advised cvt replacement needed. May 21 and may 22 cvt did not engage, vehicle stopped proceeding while on highway. Turned vehicle off for 15 minutes. Turned on and was able to proceed. Still shuddered and jerked when shifting. Started vehicle after parking placed in drive with no movement. Turned off then on placed in drive was able to proceed.vehicle limited to 40 mph, lost power to cvt unable to move. Stopped for 45 minutes and was able to place into drive. Drove for approximatelyhalf mile, lost power while traveling up hill and rolled backwards luckily into a driveway without being struck by other vehicles. Neutral did not exist. Vehicle towed 5/22/19. Complaints made to nissan 5/23/19. Was advised 5/24 they would only cover 70% although there is a significant problem with their cvts.

While driving on an interstate, my 2014 nissan rogue would rev and the rpm's would surge unexpectedly and without warning. While driving it would randomly jerk, shudder, and hesitate. We experienced a sudden loss of acceleration leading premature transmission failure. My check engine light did not come on until the car lost the acceleration capability. This put us in great danger being that we barely made it onto the side of the interstate. My car had to be towed to nissan and since i have been advised that the transmission needs to be completely replaced.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While the vehicle was stopped at a stop sign, the vehicle stalled when the accelerator pedal was depressed. On another occasion, the vehicle was unable to shift from park into reverse. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 72,000.

Vehicle while on expressway would loose power on and off. This cause for serious accident conditions. Transmission yellow warning light appeared on next day. Had vehicle towed to dealership and they confirmed there was an issue found extreme hesitstion entering gear or changing gear. From multiple codes p0841 fluided press sen/sw a.p17f0 cvt judder. Also, found front sway bar link loose and replaced. And, tie rods had to be replaced also because of being loose. Previously i also had to have the control arms replace twice. This is unacceptable. Beside that my vehicle was in shop from 8/9/2021 thru 8/26/202. Without even to have rental car provided. Except for 2 days.

Vehicle suddenly lost acceleration - engine was running but car wouldn't go forward. Sent to repair, and go the car back but a few days later the same thing happened. Was told that it couldn't be repaired and was taken from me. I was told the vehicle had been auctioned off as junk but i want to know if it really was. It should definitely never be back on the road.

While shifting from park to drive, the top part of the gear shift and the chrome "stem" lifted off. I pushed down to put it back and the button to engage the gear shift and move to different gears was stuck in. The gear shift would not move from neutral or drive and when i parked the vehicle, i had to put it in neutral and apply the emergency brake.

Cvt transmission defect. Jerking, shudder, rpm vary up to 3500 rpm when it should be ar 2,000 rpm. Sometime it quits in traffic. Does the same in city,on highway, traffic hazard to me and other motorist.

This is confirmed by nissan dealer: the vehicle speed is, or was, reduced by the cvt fail-safe (reduced vehicle speed) after continuous operation under the following conditions: ļ‚· high rpm and/or high speed driving (rpm of 4000+ or speeds of 65 mph [104.6 km/h] for 1.0 ā€“ 1.5 hrs. Or more) ļ‚· driving in ambient temperature of 96 degrees or higher ļ‚· climbing steep or extended hills for 6 miles (9.6 km) or more ļ‚· whine or rattle type noise occurring during reduced engine performance (vehicle speed decrease)

Vibration from transmission shaking car at hwy speeds

Daughter was driving her 2014 rogue with 64,000 miles on it to college over 800 miles away when it kept jolting and causing a rise in the rpms.car would decelerate from 65 mph to 40 mph while going up and down hills or trying to pass semis on the highway.finally had to drive 40 mph to the nearest town with a nissan dealership and leave vehicle there and get a rental car to drive the rest of the way to college.nissan service department called and said she needs an entirely new transmission at only 64k miles.this is apparently a common problem with nissan cvt transmissions, and not just on the sentra and versa.nissan should be ashamed that they know about this problem across the board yet have failed to recall and/or extend the warranty on all models with the same cvt transmission issues.my daughter could have been killed.now we are forced to pay $4200 to replace the transmission or leave her stranded at college without a vehicle.

Cvt transmission. Started jerking going down the highway and the all of a sudden wonā€™t move. No gears work. Car will not move at all. I know the 2014-2016 rogues have had a big issue.

I bought a 2014 rogue select 33,000 miles from larry h. Miller nissan in dec 2015. Shortly after my purchase in jan - i frequently experienced my car engine going into safety mode when on the freeway. Having no power. I took to lhm service dept a total of 7 times. Sorry we are not able to duplicate the problem. Last time i took they had an upgrade and said oh it is your cvt transmission it's fried.at this point my suv was at 114000 miles. I was told by the service dept i had a 100000 mile warranty, they called back and said it was 60,000. Corporate gave me the run around. Finally agreed to pay 70% i had to pay 30%. It was unfair i had brought this to them a month after purchase and 7more times. Cvt transmission replaced i paid 30% about $1000. I picked up my car they said the battery had died but they charged it. I got to work turned off went to leave 20 min later dead. Called lhm service several times no answer, emailed no response.i bought a new battery.called corp they reguj fed me as it was ujnder warranty. Lhm never contacted me back.3 months later my alternator went out. My mechanic replacedit $300. 2 months ago my a.c. Compressor went out. My mechanic replaced it $350. So today my suv started doing the whining noise and engine going into safe mode. I'm now at 144000 miles and the cvt transmission had 12,000 mile warranty! i drive a lot.i also take great care of my car and do not drive fast, i put most of my miles on the freeway. Driving at 70mph and then car engine going into safe mode with no power on the freeway is dangerous. I asked them to google it others had the same experience i was told they don't google if it isn't showing error codes they wouldn't know what to fix.i still owe about $14000 now need a 2nd get transmission replaced with no warranty?? no help from nissan?toyota would never do business this way.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue.the contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shuddered and jerked with the accelerator pedal depressed. The vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000.

Clicked on the keyless off/on button while in "drive" when parking car. The car, at a alarming rate of speed started going backwards. I duplicated this action for my husband who thought i must have had the car in "natural" the car again started going backwards. Both events when performed on flat land.

While up and down hills, there is a problem with acceleration. My rpm's will shoot up very high, but can not accelerate. This has happened to me 3 times now, and one time was very dangerous. I was coming off the interstate (downhill) and went to cross onto the highway, i was then almost hit (with my 2 year old in the car) because my car would not accelerate.i made it across, turned my car off then on and it seemed fine after that. In a situation where there would have been plenty of time to cross, i was almost hit. That was about 2 months ago, but just this morning i was going up a very small hill (interstate ramps are steeper than the one this happened on), my suv just wouldn't accelerate. Again, i had to pull over and turn my suv off and then back on for it to work again.

Cruising at highway speed(75mph), cruise control turned off, vehicle lost power and would not let us drive any faster then 45-mph. Almost rear-ended by very large truck! dealer says transmission is overheating and needs a $1200 cooler installed, which nissan is refusing to pay for! they do not stand behind their vehicles! looked this issue up on internet, and it there are many individuals experiencing this same problem

The cvt transmission torque converter clutch experiences intermittent failures when traveling at highway speeds.the vehicle cannot maintain normal highway speeds and slows to dangerously slow speeds for highway driving, forcing the vehicle to pull off.once stopped, the vehicle sometimes cannot accelerate to even 20 mph.this creates a very dangerous highway situation.i believe there are numerous nissan models with this exact same problem.

I have a 2014 nissan rogue select with 72,000 miles. It shudders/jerks intermittently during idle at drive mode even when ac and fan are off. I do not know exactly how far i am from transmission failure. Earlier the car had a catastrophic engine failure at 38000 miles and it was replaced under the nissan warranty.today i went for an oil change and they found that the cv axle of the right front is damaged and needs to be replaced.

I parked my wife's new 2014 nissan rogue in our garage which is a flat surface.we started to exit the car to remove our baby from the back seat.the vehicle began rolling backwards and would have completely rolled out of the garage if i did not press the brake.i started the engine and pulled it back in the garage, put the vehicle in park, and it began rolling backwards again.luckily, the vehicle did not roll back in our previous parking spot or it would have ended up in the woods.i called the dealership the next day and they were able to replicate the issue.the service manager called me yesterday and stated it was the transmission and it would need to be replaced.i am very concerned about the reliability, safety, and value of this car.i will note the dealership has been very helpful.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving 70 mph, the contact applied the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact attempted to apply the accelerator pedal again and the vehicle took 34 seconds to respond. The vehicle was taken to battles nissan (60 macarthur blvd, bourne, ma 02532, (774) 302-0313) where it was diagnosed that a cvt fuel cooler had to be installed in order for the power train to return to normal the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided case number: 36126158. The contact was informed to call nhtsa. The failure mileage was approximately 154,000.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While accelerating from a stop, the vehicle jumped and the transmission lagged. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer stated that there were no recalls on the vehicle regarding the transmission. The contact also stated that the vehicle strained when driving above 70 mph on the highway. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 24,000.

The car shudders and jerks while accelerating, causing the engine to stall. It stalled on the interstate and in the city. Both themes the engine stalled, it was accelerating from a stop.

Nissan is covering-up a very serious and on-going problem with its cvt transmission. I bought a 2014 nissan rogue new in may 2014. The vehicle now has 70,700 miles on it. After only 24 months, the cvt transmission failed and, according to the local nissan dealerships, i need a new transmission at a cost of $4,000. The nissan dealership implied (but would not state directly) that there is a problem with nissan's cvt transmission which has been on-going for 10+ years. However, my car is out of warranty and i must pay for the new transmission. The transmission should not fail after 24 months. Nissan should address the systemic problem with its cvt transmissions and extend its warranty for cvt transmissions as it did in 2010 for nissan vehicles in model years 2003 to 2010.

I have noticed that my 2014 nissan rogue loses power after driving long distrances.this puts my family in danger.i have the gas all the way to the floor with no response.then it will all of sudden just take off. It seems to happen when i am on the hwy going around 75. This is happening more and more often.

The car loses power going uphill, or trying to accelerate.just the other day it rmp just went to 15 miles per hour and had to pull over. I'm told it could be my transmission.i am not sure

Passenger air bag light stays on even if a person is in the passenger seat.was told there was not a recall on this. Transmission would not shift out of first gear, had to pull over, turn ignition off what a few min. Then turn car back on.transmission shifted after that. Toke car in for recall.

On may 10, 2014, i parked my 2014 nissan rogue in my garage.i put vehicle in park and got out went to the passenger side to get my bag on passenger side rear door when the car started to roll backwards. I ran to back of car to stop it. Lucky for me i wasn't behind the car when it started to roll back. I stopped it enough before it hit the decline in my driveway and ran to drivers side and jumped in and hit brake.moved car back into garage and put blocks behind the tires. At that point, i thought it was a one time event.approximately 1 hour later i ran an errand, put car in park (on level ground), got out of car and it started rolling backwards again.i immediately drove to nissan dealer and explained what happened. Pertaining to medical attention.my back, left shoulder and legs are very sore (may 11).will see in a day or so if further medical is needed.

For the third time my nissan rogue 2014 failed to accelerate as the cvt transmission slipped and would not re engage. To make matters worse i was stuck on a mountain on a 95 degree day with no cell phone service. The vehicle has 28,000 miles currently. This first time is happened it had 9,000 miles. There is a lawsuit for 2013-14 pathfinders but the rogues should be included in a recall for vehicles unfit for operation. It is a safety hazard to have a vehicle traveling at 70mph lose acceleration capabilities and stop moving forward. I was almost rear ended and drove off of the road. I've filed a complaint with the bbb as well as the corporation and requested to be able to return the vehicle with no further costs. This request was denied so i am forced to own a vehicle that is unsafe and the company refuses to take responsibility for. There were no fatalities this time but i can't say the same for my next drive to the store. Many people have filed complaints on these models and nothing is being done to ensure safety.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 40 mph, the vehicle jerked, shook, and vibrated. The contact stated that transmission fluid needed to be added to the vehicle twice daily for the transmission to operate as designed. The contact stated that the transmission was replaced march 2019. The manufacturer assisted the contact with the cost of the transmission replacement. The transmission was replaced by an unknown nissan dealer however, the transmission replacement failed to correct or prevent the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 84,000.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving approximately 45 mph, there was an abnormal spinning noise coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to don davis nissan (1320 i-20 frontage rd, arlington, tx 76018, (877) 415-3218) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 89,000.

While driving my car to work, the transmission has been slipping out of hear. The speed will decrease as i can't accelerate. The rpm's shoot up but the car will go nowhere. It has happened and both high and low speeds but normally after the car engine is warm. Sometimes when it happens, after 10-15 seconds, the gear will go back to drive on it's own and i can continue on my way. Lately, as it's gotten worse, the car will come to a dead stop (as i can't accelerate) and there is nothing that i can do to get it back into gear. I have tried turning the car on and off, putting it in neutral or low and it can take up to 20 minutes before i can get the vehicle driving property. After research, it is a common issue with the vehicle however after taking the car to the dealership i purchased it from twice, they will not fix it. They state it hasn't happened during their test drive and there is nothing they can do and they are releasing the car to me. Even after multiple phone calls and asking them to perform other tests- they won't. They have only run diagnostic machine tests and did a short test drive (even though they lied and told me it was longer). After taking the vehicle home yesterday- it happened to me twice today. This is unsafe to drive.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle jerked and shut off without warning. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact called eddie tourelle's northpark nissan (985-893-0079, located at 955 n hwy 190, covington, la 70433) and was informed that they were aware of the failure and it was due to the transmission. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 124,000. The vin was not provided.

Vehicle will not accelerate or shift even though the gas pedal is pushed all the way to the floor . Almost been hit multiple times because of this issue. Comes with no warning the car will drive fine and then randomly the rpms go all the way up and will not accelerate or shift. Tried taking it to multiple mechanics and the problem canā€™t be fixed except by replacing the transmission.

Wife coming home after dropping daughter off from school, car felt jerky and unstable, pulled into the driveway and engine died. I then started vehicle, shifted into reverse, vehicle died. Tried again and it started, but had lots of hesitation, took to dealership, they had it for 3 working days and could not duplicate the error and no error code, so they sent the vehicle back to us. Next day wife went to pick up daughter from school and while pulling out of the school parking lot, car died and they were almost struck by another vehicle who was traveling at higher speed. Could start the car, but could not shift into any gear without car dying.once again, no trouble/error codes were being fired off.took car to dealership where again they tried for 2 days to get the car to act up, until finally it acted up on the freeway where it almost died there.they diagnosed the issue as a faulty torque converter, which requires a full transmission replacement.the vehicle only is 3 years old, with only 75,000 miles on it.this is a safety issue, the car cuts out with little warning at low speeds, meaning especially dangerous when trying to make turns and accelerate into traffic.additionally, no error codes were thrown at all, and took 6 working days at a dealership to determine the issue.furthermore, it is sporadic and cannot be diagnosed easily or quickly, suggesting that there is a high potential for this issue to occur with other vehicles and they will be sent back out on the road without having the issue fix, placing people in significant danger.this is the first year of the redesign of the rogue and one of the first sold in texas, but this is unacceptable and extremely dangerous as there is no way to easily diagnose the issue and how the failure occurs.all recommended services were performed at nissan dealerships for the transmission as well at 30k and 60k.

Limited too 3000 rpm. Sudden lose of all acceleration. Hot and cold weather same outcome. 75000 miles all maintenance up too date.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While the contact's wife was driving 50 mph, the vehicle hesitated while the rpms fluctuated independently. The contact stated that the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to henry motors nissan (located at 2037 av. Las amricas, ponce, 00731, puerto rico, 787-841-5226) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 87,000.

I have only had the rouge select for barely two years. Four times i have had a power loss as i am driving up canyons and any steep terrain.if for any reason you slow down and re-accelerate the car does not pick up speed. There are times when we are just accelerating andloose power. The vehicle has had a loss ofpower between 55 and 70 miles an hour, highway speeds are 50-70+.this has happened to us a few times putting my family and i, in danger of being rear ended at highway speeds. The loss of power happening in the vehicle, four times in the last week as we traveled from utah up parleys canyon, we had a loss of speed twice in this canyon. Once at half-way in heavy traffic and again near the crest of the mountain in very heavy traffic almost being rear-ended by a semi.again the very same day two more times as we passed through heavy traffic in wyoming and again as we passed back through utah in the flaming gorge area. All areas with steep terrain. This is extremely unsafe and as i read all these complaints this is a serious matter. For anew vehicle with barely 30,000 miles on it,this should not be happening and is a serious defect. This is ridiculous for a brand new vehicle to have this happening. I just hope it doesn't take a loss of life before this is recalled and fixed for good.

The power of the car decreases when driven for long periods of time or when driving uphill climbs during traveling distances. When this happens the car reduces speed to approximately 50 mph.when a destination is reached after a long period of driving ie;stoplight at freeway exit, car has no power when trying to accelerate.it has happened several time over the past year. Last times were 7/19 & 26/2020.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. After the gear shift was switched into the park position and exiting the vehicle, the vehicle independently rolled and crashed into the garage. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician stated that the vehicle was operating as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,940.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue select n/a. The contact stated while leaving her driveway, the vehicle began to jerk while shifting into gear. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000.

Back bottom brake lights has not worked in a year.nissan mechanics did a electrical diagnostic and cannot find the problem.

This happened on 3 occasions before i took the car in to the dealer for inspection. While driving (twice on the freeway and once on surface streets) the the car began to abruptly loose/decrease speed despite my attempt at maintaining speed by accelerating, the car's rpm meter began acting erratically, and the engine began making a sound as if struggling. In all cases i had to put on my hazards, move over/pull over and i had to turn the car off in hopes that it would "reset." when i took the car to the nissan dealer i was told my transmission was overheating repeatedly and failing into a safe mode. They said this was a known issue with the nissan cvt (rogues) and replacing the transmission wouldn't solve the problem unless a transmission cooler system was added to fix the issue. I was told a technical service bulletin existed as it was a known problem but we were never made aware of this safety issue. Instead of nissan proactively letting customers know this so that we could fix it or issue a recall to prevent unsafe driving conditions they just ignored it. I was told to contact nissan consumer affairs which i did and spoke with a woman named "laura" who agreed to pay for a portion of the repair (70%) but would not send anything in writing, give me her last name or document that this was a known problem and safety hazard. She stated that they were at no obligation to either be proactive or cover the full cost of the additional cooling system as there was no recall in place.

2014 nissan rogue sv 61,868 miles with recurring acceleration issues. Started about one year ago wife called and said that vehicle was making loud revving sound but not moving or barely moving while stepping on gas. She stated car was stalling out at intersection or while in moving traffic. Not turning off but not moving while stepping on gas. She park car at work and drove home with no problem. Several months ago same thing no or poor acceleration while stepping on gas while at intersections or in moving traffic. I picked it up from work and drive home with no problem. This has occurred on several addition days but not has bad. Vehicle shakes and makes revving noises while driving. Fast forward to today wife calls says she is stuck on highway. Stated that vehicle had no acceleration and she was barley able to get it into emergency lane before it wouldn't move at all. Chassis control system error message appeared on dash display along with other lights like engine light. Vehicle was towed to nissan dealer for inspection. Beginning to think i purchased a piece of junk.after reading several post regarding similar issue and no resolve from nissan i am a little worried. Not only is this a dangerous safety issue but will probably be a huge expense to correct if nissan does not help out. Vehicle is just above 60,000 powertrain warranty. Luckily i have geico mechanical breakdown insurance. Will just wait and see what happens.

Transmission went out while traveling on interstate. 90,000 miles on car.

Car drove fine then in the middle of going through an intersection the vehicle stopped accelerating and check engine light came on.check code it was p1778 for stepper motor.vehicle only has 87000 miles on it.brought to a transmission stop to replace the valve body to have a new stepper motor.had the part put in to find out the whole transmission failed.we could've been killed in the busy intersection with this happening without warning.

We were traveling on interstate i-20 in georgia at approx 75mph when suddenly the car just lost all forward momentum.my husband attempted to give the car more gas, but with the pedal all the way to the floor, he narrowly manged to get us across the lanes of traffic to the shoulder of the road without being hit.we were almost rear ended several times, and attempting to cross the lanes of the highway was extremely dangerous.once on the side of the road, he checked to see if there was a visible or noticeable reason the car acted this way and checked all fluids- including the transmission fluid.after checking everything he could, we resumed travel, with the car being a bit sluggish then resuming travel as normal.we looked online to see if others had this problem, and read that older nissans had a replacement recall on the transmissions- but not the newer one.this even has terrified me, our daughter and my husband with how dangerous a situation we were put in due to the defect of the transmission.

Car does not accelerate after stopping and trying to yield to oncoming traffic or turn at a stop sign. Extremely dangerous because it will all of a sudden decide to go and the rpm goes up really high.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that when depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle would not respond until the pedal was depressed approximately half way. The vehicle would then rapidly accelerate for sixty seconds before returning to normal function. The contact indicated that the defect was only present after the engine was warm and the defect would recur intermittently. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure and no repairs were performed. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 300.

Cvt transmission problem possibly. This is a well maintained vehicle. Car starts to delay in drive gear and reverse. Bucking and idling and reving rpm while driving normal speeds. Many other nissan rouge owners are having the same issue. Nearly been hit on the road and highway at least 3 times. Why isn't this issue being looked at and recalled?

We have had issues on two occasions with the car dying while in motion. The 1st instance my wife and kids were in the car, when my wife had made a turn onto a main highway, and the vehicle shut off. She called me to take a look at it . I made several attempts to get the car going. It would start, but once i put the car in gear it would shut off. At this point we had it towed to the dealership. They could not replicate it and had us pick it up. A few months later we were in town shopping and the car died twice trying to back out of a parking space. I managed to get the car going again, only to have it shut off again while stopped at a red light. I got the car started and made it back home, but it kept shuddering during acceleration. It was also making funny noises. I took it to the dealership the following monday morning and showed the tech what it was doing. The dealership is aware of the problem, but i have yet to hear from them about a fix. The sudden loss of power and engine shutting off is very dangerous. Luckily we were not on the interstate or major highway.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving at 60 mph, the vehicle lost power. In addition, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The rpms increased. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,000. Updated 5/4/15

2014 rogue while driving on the freeway we lost all power in an instant. This is not safe without warning.it is a known problem with the cvt transmissions, there have been recalls by nissan for this problem on earlier models, but this seems to be a problem with the 2014 models as well.as others have mentioned, these transmissions are a known issue in nissans and in most cases, you will not have an issue until you are out of your warranty. Nissan has issued an extended warranty (110,000 miles) on all models through 2010, but nothing on the 2014 rogue. My car was at 93,000 and2 years old, so now i am stuck for close to $4500 to get it repaired.

Transmission began jolting and shuttering this past week at all speeds. When accelerating it's not an issue, however , when maintaining speed the rpms increases and decreases as the transmission shifts up and down. This causes the car to slow on the freeway and roadways. It feel very dangerous.

Reference 2014 nissan rogue vin# [xxx]:2014 nissan rogue was stuck in low gear on 9/6/19.we were stranded forcing us to abandon the vehicle.we picked up the car the next day and it seems to be operating fine.this is the second time and the most serious incidence.the first time was a year ago where it would not shift.the engine was racing but it sounded like we were still on the lowest gear.

Cars loses power when driving, shakes, revs high has a hard time accelerating up hills too

My 2014 nissan rogue has 118,000 miles and quit on the us going down the road. Car was whining and had no power. Looks like we are going to need a transmission. I have researched and now discover that is a common problem among nissan's with a ctv transmission. Shame on nissan for not fixing this after years of issues!! there should be an extended warranty on all nissan's with this transmission!

Vehicle currently has 70,300 miles on it. Vehicle began losing power while on the interstate at 70 mph. The rpms would go up and down and the vehicle would jerk as if the transmission was trying to find the right gear. With in a few minutes, there was hardly any power transferring to the wheels. I had the vehicle towed to the dealer. No warning for transmission failure. Dealer recommends cvt transmission replacement for transmission judder.

Loss of acceleration. The first time it occurred was from a stop sign. Pressed the gas pedal and the rpm's only went to 3000 with the car only slowly moving forward. The second time it occurred was while driving down the interstate at 70mph. Attempted to accelerate when again the rpm's only went to 3000 and could only maintain current speed. No response from sport button or over drive button. After the car was turned off and restarted it resumed normal operations. Both very dangerous situations if power and acceleration would have been needed.

Bought used car on march 14, 2021. Seller drove car to my home. After a test drive the shifting from 1st to 2nd speed was low. I drove the car to my mechanic repair and was told that it needs a complete transmission to be replaced. Seller don't want to refund our money.

While driving on the interstate the car completely lost ability to accelerate. It would maintain speed with accelerator pedal pressed all the way to the floor. The rpm's would not go above 3000. Once stopped could not accelerate to get through intersection. After stopping and sitting for an hour the car then began operating back normal. This now has happened multiple times.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving various speeds, the vehicle jerked. There were no warning indicators illuminated before or after the failure occurred. The vehicle was taken to an unknown nissan dealer where failure code: p1740 (transmission select solenoid) was located. The dealer stated that the transmission needed to be replaced. The dealer also test drove the vehicle, but was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 60,000.

Right rearseat belt disengaged from the upper mounting. When this occurred my grandchild was in his car seat, he is 7, the seat belt just fell into his lap. I was preparing backing out of my driveway, car was in park.updated 09/24/14*ljwhen we returned from a triptook, 8-15, took vehicle to my dealer service tech and mgr. Quite surprised as were a few others. The bolt threads were stripped about 1/4" from the end. Blame was immediately placed on manufacturing quality control and i agree. No one used the right rear seat during our travels. However i received quite a few comments on my "loose" seat belt!new belt order placed saturday 8-16, so no answer to,1) is one in stock and 2) when will it arrive?. So until the belt arrives i cannot transport my grandchildren or a maximum of 2!,i have 7 year old twins.the rogue is 5 months old. Of course my concern is how many other 2014 rogues are on the road with this problem. What if i hadan accident with my grandchild or another person in that seat. Are my other seat belts securely mounted?it will be hard to feel 100% safe in this rogue.i am sure my dealer will check out my concerns, but what caused the bolt to strip and then dislodge? updated 2/24/2015

The contact owned a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the seat belts failed to latch. The contact stated that on one occasion, while driving at approximately 10 mph, the vehicle was involved in a crash and the seat belts failed to retract. The specifics of the crash were not available. A police report was filed and there was one injury reported that required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 49,000.

Well first off the vin # on my rogue is for an awd and mine is a fwd?? the seat belts in the back seat lock and are hard to release when trying to buckle. Worries me that they aren't going to do what they need to in an accident.the steering wheel pops when turning right or left. I have already paid $100 for them to lube and clean the seal going into the firewall. This did not fix the problem and it's getting worse. Had to have 2 alignments within 4 months. No rough roads amd service dept could not explain why. Brakes and rotors wear quickly. Transmission whines when going down or up a hill. I love my vehicle but the issues i have make me rethink ever buying another nissan. If there are issues they need to be addressed.

The driver and rear passenger seat belts are not locking properly and will spontaneous unlock.i often have to lock and relock the belt four to five times before it is secure.there have been times when i heard the click, and in fact the belt was not engaged nor locked.

The air bag light comes on sometimes when someone sets in theseat. If you raise your butt up it will go out.the other thing is the seatbelt on that same seat willlock into place and you can't lean forward to reach the radio, etc or any other buttons onthe middle of the dash.it is the front passenger seat.

Just a complaint that the headrest of the 2014 nissan rogue is very uncomfortable. I am a woman who is 5'4" and i can never get the headrest in a comfortable position, it pushes my head too far forward.

The contact stated that the headrest for the rear driver and passenger side failed to secure when adjusted. The contact mentioned that the headrest would return to the lowest setting. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who stated that a remedy was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the front driver and passenger and rear head rests did not secure into place. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The technician stated that all of the head rests had been installed in accordance to the manufacturer's specifications. The manufacturer was notified; however, the contact was not offered a remedy. The failure mileage was 12,000.

Operator engaged in low speed parking maneuver. Car suddenly accelerated, jumped curb and struck tree. Driver slightly injured left wrist requiring x-rays. No bones fractured. I ordered reading of edr data.was first told by dealership that no edr was installed in my vehicle even though the manual issued with the vehicle clearly stated there was.nissan north america sent technician to extract data. By the time it was done entire electrical harness had been removed and replaced. Representative of nissan north america claimed data was extracted and that their interpretation of the data indicated no culpability on their part for accident. Refused to share actual data with me since florida has no legislation dealing with ownership of such data. I consider their interpretation to be inconclusive since i have way of knowing the all of the elements required by nhtsa for interpretation was actually extracted.

I have 8 recalls on my car and no one contact me about them. 257792,257984,273304,231792,228070,227302,202526,212508.

Notice a slight squeak from front left wheel/brake area that created some concern, thena few miles down the road and some start stop action, came a metal to metal grinding scenario, called auto nation nissan immediately, identified problem to service tech and i was advised bring unit in. Thinking maybe just a brake issue, i was informed that left front caliber brake system was locked up and has caused major wear on brake pads and then i was informed that rotors scared, brakes require replacement along with new calibers on front of unit. Only thing is brakes & rotors are not to be covered and i would have to pay for them. Why do i have for poor quality equipment that falls under recall status? but after seeing these recalls i will expect nissan to repair or replace at no charge. To be more exact, my transmissions was replaced 2 months ago as well. I really like my rogue but has been a money pit even with warranty... I drive as a road warrior for my job and now your unit is costing me money. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Popping noise coming from the front of the vehicle when turning

I want to prevent any accidents from happening. I have a nissan rogue, bought on 12th june 2014. When i make a right turn i cannot see the front right corner, because of the right side mirror completely blocking the view of right corner object. It is very difficult to seepedestrians on the side. Most of the vehicles have a small glass window by the mirror or there is a gap between the vehicle's body and the mirror. Sometimes i have to get up from the seat to check the right corner when making a right turn.i almost ran over two pedestrians. I think there is a defect and i am concerned that i willrun over someone causing a major accident. Hoping to see a resolution to prevent any accidents from happening.thank you

Water intrusion on drivers side floorboard during rain. Known issue on other nissan vehicles where welds were missed or seals were overlooked. As stated in other recalls and bulletins, this is a potential fire hazard as can lead to a short in kick panel components. Nissan refuses to address.

Upon cleaning my2014 rogue i noticed that my driver side floor was all wet ,thinking i had spilled a coffee or drink i dried the rug , and the following few days after letting it dry after coming home from the store i bent down to see if it was still dry and the floor was wet again the problem still persists .i can't seem to get it to stay dry, i pulled the rug back and noticed it very wet

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While stationary, the rear driver side bolt snapped on the body of the vehicle. In addition, the chassis control system error indicator illuminated without warning. The vehicle was taken to be diagnosed, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,000.

Vehicle is stationary. When opening the rear lift gate, the gate goes all the way up and then comes back down to about 5ft off the ground.everyone is hitting their head on it.when i was looking online to see if others had the problem and how to fix it, i found there was a recall for my year rogue (nhtsa campaign # 16v219000) but my vin did not come up as affected.this issue started over the summer, june 2019.i live in rhode island.

I have water intrusion from the body of the vehicle due to sealant deterioration on the body. As a result the front driver floor area remains wet and has caused some rusting.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request?hood latch released hood on highway and hood flipped up and back onto windshield smashing windshield, almost causing injury/death. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? view was blocked at high speed (highway) - could have resulted in injury/death to passengers and other cars. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? not yet- currently at body shop has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others?not yet- vehicle just arrived at body shop yesterday. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear?no warning lights just vibration in front area of hood just prior to hood flipping up.

Sealing in the driver and passenger side tire well has failed. Significant water has leaked into the drivers side floor board. Carpet and mat are soaked. Mold has begun to form in the sound proofing foam.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the driver side door failed to unlock while using the key fob. The door had to be opened manually. The contact also stated that driver's side rear door also experienced a similar failure and was repaired by the (ed martin of fishers, 13397 britton park road, fishers, in 46038). The vehicle was not repaired for the failure with the driver's front door. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for a diagnostic. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 152,172.

Driver side floor broad corridison. Saw on website that this can cause a fire. Notice the damage after i bought the vehicle.

I have water intrusion from the body of the vehicle due to sealant deterioration on the body. As a result the front driver floor area remains wet and has caused some rusting. Mechanic's research shows that this is happening to said vehicles with my vin 2014 nissan rogue. From other complaints it doesn't show up right away when the vehicle is purchased but after a little time the sealant deteriorates or is absent and you find your foot in a fresh water puddle on your floor board. Please help nissan correct this issue. I am told that what is shown in the attachment is what needed to be done to protect the car from further damage and rusting.

Water intrusion; driver side floorboard.

I have had my vehicle to dealer 4 times now for water leak drivers side floor. Last time was body shop. Factory weld was the last diagnosis. Went to get into my car this morning after a hard rain and the floor was wet also wet above drivers door could be another weld leak. My lift gate shows a warning saying it's i'm open while i'm driving, my vehicle will continue to beep and the locks will unlock and lock on their own. While the warning is going off i can't use lane assistance or blind spot assistance.

Purchased a 2014 nissa rogue sv with 24,000 miles on it. Wife drove it everyday and started experiencing a popping noise on the driver side when making low speed left turns. Found a tsb ntb15-062c. Had my mechanic replace front end suspension out of my pocket when nissan is well aware of this issue with this year vehicle.

When the heat is turned on whether it's defrost, or regular heating the heat doesn't blow warm or hot air only cold air.the air conditioner will stop working and blow warm airintermittently

The gps system is faulty and the manufacturer either cannot or will not replace the gps system nor provide updates. A map company here maps, provides updates for all of the other nissan rogues but not 2014. Caught in snow storm last winter and had no gps whatsoever. On the nissan web site www.nissan.navigation.com it provides a phone number for customer service which connects you to here maps. Here maps and nissan have said that an update is coming but i have been told that for well over a year now. Nissan and here maps are both pointing fingers at one another and the people driving the 2014 nissan rogue are the ones whose safety is being put in jeopardy. A nissan dealership looked at the gps and installed a software update. The update now simply tells you it cannot locate the address you are looking for. The vehicle provided this notification when the vehicle was at a stop and when it was moving. Drivers depend on the gps in the vehicle. The screen just goes blank and puts people's lives and safety at risk. This has been an ongoing issue and i have contacted nissan and here maps multiple times.

I want nissan to buy it back because of the all recalls and under the lemon law.

While driving on the expressway all of a sudden glass in my sunroof just exploded. Made quite a noise and startled me. There were no trucks in front of me and no over passes. The glass blew out all over me and the rest of the vehicle. When cleaning it up i could not find any evidence of any thing that could have hit it to make it shatter. I feel as though i was very lucky in this case as i did not get any glass in my eyes and just a very small cut on my hand. I was driving on the expressway at the speed limit which is 70 mph and consider myself very lucky that i was not involved in an accident as a result of it. I called nissan and they pretty much just blew me off, i think that if this is something that is happening that something should be done to correct it immediately.

Car computer was hacked by wireless criminals.he has been able to update my computer, car clock, make my dashboard lights flash after the message rear view camera is unavailable displays on the dashboard.i believe the criminal targeted my vehicle while parked at a public place while i was attending my children.

I've gone to nissan central avenue on three (3) separate occassions since june 2015 and have been informed the parts were not available after being scheduled to go. My car has yet to have the recall addressed since recall notification was sent earlier in 2015.

I put my vehicle into drive and it doesn't 'lock' or stay in to place.it moved to neutral while i was driving it.when this happened with my honda, they recalled it and replaced it.

The liftgate on this nissan rogue has continuously failed to remain in the up/open position. Once activated it rises up to allow access to rear but then almost immediately drops 12 to 15 inches thereby hitting the person either on the top of the head or in the forehead. It truly is a dangerous situation and could cause the owner to become unconscious. This happens whenever the vehicle is parked or otherwise not moving.. While this condition has caused a nhtsa recall nissan indicates that this vin is not in the recall as the vehicle was produced in a factory different from the recall. Yet the problem with this vehicle is identical to what is described in the recall. The dealership states that it will cost between $1500 and $2000 to repair the faulty struts that are unable to keep the liftgate in the up position. They are trying to put if off as "normal wear and tear."

Back bottom brake lights has not worked in a year.nissan mechanics did a electrical diagnostic and cannot find the problem.

The air conditioning stops blowing cold air after driving for about 20 minutes on the freeway.had the compressor replaced last year due to an alleged leak after loosing all air conditioning while driving 2.5 hours on the freeway. Experiencing same issue this year and the dealership cannot figure it out.

Sunroof explodes, shatters

The shift lock does not release when the brake is pressed. I have to manually release the shift lock. Replaced the selenoid twice. And it still does not last more than a week without breaking again. This happened as soon as i bought the car from a nissan dealer within a week.

In june of 2020 i noticed the smell of mold and mildew in my car, but i could not figure out where it was coming from in my vehicle. Then one sunny day in june i opened my sunroof to be doused with water that came pouring in. I did some investigating and discovered that the drain was clogged, and thus the build up of water.i watched a youtube video on how to clear the clog, and did my best to remove the blockage. I then discovered that there was a pool of water beneath the carpet under the passenger front seat. I called my local nissan dealer and was informed that there is also a rear drain, that must be clogged as well.unfortunately i could not find a way to clear the rear drain online.i brought it in to my nissan's service department, and ended paying $900.00 to have both the front and rear drains cleared properly.clearing the rear drain is especially labor intensive, as they had to remove the headliner to get to it, so the labor is long and expensive.nissan customer service told me there is nothing they can do, as the car is past it warranty date. If nothing truly can be done, then i would like someone to explain to me why i am responsible for water damage to the interior of my car, and the cost to unclog the drains.i have maintained this nissan rogue with great care and thoroughly as recommended by nissan's service menu.there is no mention of keeping the drains of the sunroof clear and the service department never mentioned doing anything about them. I was never given any indication of having to maintain my sunroof drains in anyway.at the cost of $900.00, the drains now clear, but my car still water stained and smelling of mold.please help me understand how and why this has happened, as no one else is willing or able to do so, and i am left completely frustrated and angered by this situation.

I have noticed that my 2014 nissan rogue loses power after driving long distrances.this puts my family in danger.i have the gas all the way to the floor with no response.then it will all of sudden just take off. It seems to happen when i am on the hwy going around 75. This is happening more and more often.

My lift gate shows a warning saying it's i'm open while i'm driving, my vehicle will continue to beep and the locks will unlock and lock on their own. While the warning is going off i can't use lane assistance or blind spot assistance.

I've been having issues with water pooling on the driver's side carpet. I brought my vehicle in for service on 12/28/18 and 12/31/08 to have this issue looked at. The technicians said there was an issue with the sunroof drain tube: it had a kink in it. So they replaced that. However, after that replacement, i still have a significant amount of water on the driver's side carpet. I've researched on online forums for nissan owners, and this sesms to be a known and recurring issue for '14 rogues.

The touch screen on my 2014 rogue stopped working due to an internal malfunction per the dealer this should not be happening on a 4 yr, old car and i shouldn't have to pay $4,000 plus dollars to replace it.

The ac system has never worked properly. The controls change from one setting to another withoutyou prompting change. It blows hot air when on cool.. This happens regardless if you are sitting still or traveling at any speed. The condenser was replaced and then the dealer replaced the "o-rings" after that and added freon. .. Only worked for a week before the air quit working again. I buy a new car every 2 years and after the problems i've had with the ac and lack of service from the nissan dealerships , this will definitely keep me from purchasing another nissan. This is a common complaint with this year/make/model vehicle and nissan doesn't want to take the responsibility to repair it.

In january 16, 2016 while driving, the engine shut off.it did not restart for approximately one half hour. We contacted the local dealership to report the issue and requested a diagnostic but was turned away stating it was a "fluke" and to monitor the issue to see if it occurs again.in june of 2016 we received a recall notice for this issue and brought it in for a fuel pump replacement on june 7, 2016. March 15, 2017 while driving the vehicle at approximately 30 mph the same event occurred, the car shut off while driving.on april 03, 2017, we took the car to the local dealership.we were told again that the tests did not indicate any issues.last evening at 8:10 pm, 4/17/2017, for the third time the car stalled again.this time at a t intersection while making a left turn.the car stalled in the middle of the intersection.

While driving at 55 mph, in a nissan rogue i bought used with only 35,000 miles on it, i heard a deafening sound, much like a gunshot right above my head, followed by the sound of shattered glass. I could hear wind ripping through the liner of my sun roof, and the pieces glass continuing to shift and move, with each movement of the vehicle. I was on a two lane road, with little to no traffic. No debris or item was found near the shattered sun roof, it seemed to just "pop". This was in the end of october, as soon as the weather had started to drop in temperature.

Nissan dealer contacted me over 3 months ago. To tell me there was problem.but have yet to do anything

I have had my vehicle to dealer 4 times now for water leak drivers side floor. Last time was body shop. Factory weld was the last diagnosis. Went to get into my car this morning after a hard rain and the floor was wet also wet above drivers door could be another weld leak. Contacted nissan for a buy back and replace waiting to see what response. There are a lot of complaints about this issue. Please investigate and help.

The car was bought in may 2014. During the time i had the winter tires changed in april 2015, i mentionned to the serviceman at the nissan dealership that the ac was emitting a musty smell. They changed the filter because they said it was "black" and asked me if i drive in a lot of construction/dirt roads.no- i drive in the suburbs 99% of the time. There are 22,000 kms on the car.after the changing of the filter, there was still a musty, moldy smell. I was told to tell the service counter, but have not done so yet.

Car stops running after stopping. Fails to restart but has started after many tries.failure has resulted in the car behind bumping my rear.

The sunroof exploded on my 2014 nissan rogue while going north on i-95 near woodbridge va. At the time i was traveling approximately 65 mph and the sunroof was closed.

Navigation sytemgicve improper directs , some of which would cause an accident , e.gsayingmaking a left turn on a 4 lane divided highway

Front overhead console fell down during driving to a stop at a city road intersection. It caused quite a shudder and partially blocked visibility. Overhead console appear to be not bolted onto the roof but rather secured by plastic pins, which failed to cause the incident. Depending on vehicle operating conditions, incident like this could cause serious accidents endangering driver and others.

The air-conditioning works fine in all speeds but after and hour on the highway in south florida the air-conditioning air flow starts decreasing and the air temperature starts to increase. This happened happen 3 times.

Water leak in drivers floor board in my 2014 rogue, which sounds like a common problem with the 2014. It is a manufacturing defect which the dealer said they can't fix. It is been out sourced to the water doctor. I don't think this is my responsibility to pay to fix when i bought this car with this defect unaware of the problem. I started to notice this leak a year ago. I want to know who i can hold accountable for this problem?

Vehicle was being parked. As driver applied brakes, vehicle accelerated forward, jumping sidewalk curb and collided with tree at approximately 10mph. Engine continued to run, driver managed to gear to reverse and backed vehicle away from tree, off the sidewalk, back over the curb, and into parking slip. The manual supplied with the vehicle claims that it is equipped with event data recorder capable of storing information prior to and during an accident.dealership claims the vehicle is not.

When driving my rogue for any period of time over 40 minutes on the expressway the vehicles starts to decelerate even when the gas pedal to pushed all the way down to the floor. This seems to be worse in the summer months when it is warmer outside. The car needs to be shut off for a period of time before it will begin to accelerate and maintain the speed on the expressway. I have even turned on the cruise control and the vehicle will even decelerate when the speed is set on cruise control. This is very frustrating especially since i live in fl and to have to pull over every 40 minutes when driving longer distances and sit in your hot car on the side of the road. This started back in 2015 and happens almost every time i have to drive over 40 minutes on the expressway.

The car loses power going uphill, or trying to accelerate.just the other day it rmp just went to 15 miles per hour and had to pull over. I'm told it could be my transmission.i am not sure

As several have stated, 50-70 mph, the engine will rev, but then decelerate with the pedal all the way to the floor.the vehicle will not accelerate. Not at all. Next thing you know, you are doing 25 mph. Very dangerous and worrisome.let's hope nothing ever happens to any members of my family while this condition presents itself. Nissan needs to step up and be accountable.it happened again today while driving on the interstate.the terrain was a grade going uphill, temperature around 92 in texas.

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration to 80 mph without warning. As a result, the contact's vehicle rear ended another vehicle. The contact stated that the air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained minor injuries and required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,000.

My 2014 nissan rogue suddenly decelerates when i'm driving on the highway.it goes from 60 or 70 mph to 20 or so in seconds. It is terrifying.my dealer replaced the fuel pump a year and a half ago, and it was better.but it is now happening again.the dealer says there is no record of a problem on the car's computer and will not do anything.i now see that many nissans have a serious transmission problem and suspect that is what is causing this.

I can be driving when all of a sudden it slows down immediately and the speed drops so low it wants almost stops. Which is very dangerous if i'm in a lot of traffic.

Very sluggish when accelerating.very dangerous when merging into traffic on highways and parkways

The contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle switched into safe/limp mode and independently decelerated to 30 mph without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 99,000.

My car will often stall after pressing the brake. I will lose control over my speed, meaning it will accelerate no matter how hard i press on the gas. It happens mostly when on i'm on the highway going over 60 mph and need to break. When the a/c is on it shakes as if it's going to shut off. It has happened too many times while with my children in the car.

Takata recall- was on the highway traveling 70 mph with two other adults in the car when the engine light came on and my transmission went out. I had no power and coasted off the exit and into a parking lot (thank goodness). Had to have the cr towed 96 miles to my hometown for review. Its only 3 years old, 74,000 miles and the transmission is gone.over $5500 quote to replace. Nissan was notified but will not stand behind their product.

Several times i have had an issue with my rogue not accelerating after i get off the highway. Each time i am getting off the highway that has speeds set at 75 mph and i am stopped at a red light and need to either turn left or go straight. Today i had several cars behind me and the truck behind me assumed i was accelerating and almost hit my rear end when he noticed my car was not accelerating. There is no warning and no time to think about turning on hazards to let others know my car is limping along. Then about 30 seconds later it goes back to normal and starts driving. I am left shaking because i almost caused an accident with the non acceleration.

2014 nissan rogue sv 61,868 miles with recurring acceleration issues. Started about one year ago wife called and said that vehicle was making loud revving sound but not moving or barely moving while stepping on gas. Vehicle was in motion both on interstate and at red light when cars began to slow and would not accelerate above 20 mdh

Vehicle acceleration is inconsistent.the pedal will be floored and the vehicle is barely going.it happened from zero as well as at 60mph.it happens in stationary as well as in motion on highway as well as city streets.

I was attempting to pull into a parking spot at my physician's office, the parking lot's slope was slightly uphill.as i slowly approached the parking spot and turned the car to the right, i decided to lightly tap the accelerator to give the rogue enough speed to pull into the spot.the engine suddenly revved up and the car lurched forward at a high rate of speed--almost as if i had jammed onto the accelerator--except i hadn't.since the car was already turned to the right, it slammed into the side of another car already parked next to me.my car then jumped the curb, kept going to the right and slammed into sidewalk ramp railings.my car finally stopped.i was not hurt (wearing seat belt) but i was shaken up--this happened so quickly that i didn't have time enough to respond in any way except to try to straighten the steering wheel--which was useless.there is extensive damage to the front end and right side of my car, and the other parked car had damage to the left side.the sidewalk railings were knocked down.the police officer cited me with reckless driving, so he obviously didn't believe that my accelerator stuck.in the past, rarely i experienced rapid acceleration from a stop (like at an intersection)--the rpm monitor would rev up to a high amount 5000+--even though i had only gently depressed the accelerator pedal--i would have to punch the accelerator pedal again to make it stop revving.this was very rare, so i didn't report it to my dealer--i figured they would dismiss it if they couldn't reproduce the problem.however, now i am afraid to drive this car.i saw one other person's report of a very similar occurrence.has anyone else experienced this?

This problem has happened before however this time it caused a dicey situation.while driving on the freeway the front windshield sun visor suddenly dropped from the forward up position (against the front windshield where it was blocking the sun) down to a vertical position where it severely blocked the front visibility.it will not reliably stay in the up or sun blocking position; it will stay in the stored or back position very securely. The technician at hanlees nissan said the situation was "normal" and there was no authorized modification. I consider this a safety issue because of the unexpected loss of sight of the road.

My headlights globe is frosted so much i cannot see clearly when driving at night. I have a 2014 and i don't think they should be this foggy.

Windshield wipers are going on and off by itself even when the car is not running it stops in middle of windshield and blocks me from seeing the road also when it rains alot i have to pull over in a rain. Had to go to the dealership and get it fixed and both parts did not fix it and the parts are 25560-4ba1d sw compl-comb and 28810-4ra0a motor assy-win and these parts were installed on 06/11/2020 and it still does the same thing as above.

Just purchased this car 10/19/2017.while driving the side mirrors ' blocks visibility of onoming cars on driver side and view of road on passenger side. When leaving my apartment complex, i continuoslyrun up on the curb on the driver side or onto the sidewalk on the passenger side, due to inability to see past the mirror. This inability to see causes me to make right turns too wide and a near accident due to inability to see oncoming car at a certtain angle. This occurs when entering or exiting my apartment complex or when parallel parking.side defogger mirrors and rear defogger window ' retains water spots, interfering with visibility. Sunroof explosion. My wife driving her car left home garage, traveled approximately 6 miles.she heard a loud explosion like a gunshot and pulled to side of road thinking a tire had blown. After determining the tires were ok discovered a hole approximately 12 inches by 8 inches of jagged glass missing from retractable sunroof.the glass was contained by the sliding inside sun shade. The weather was 95 degrees and clear.the car had not been sitting in the sun.nissan dealer refused to acknowledge this as a defect or warranty issue and insisted something had hit the sunroof although there were no visible results of an object hitting it.the glass was clearly pointing out not inward to indicate the explosion was from the inside out and not the opposite. The internetdetails many examples of this including a lawsuit filed against kia. Update 9/15/15*cwnissan paid for the sunroof replacement. Updated 01/15/16.
