Read complaints for NISSAN ROGUE (2009)

Passenger airbag light came on after my 8 year old was seating in the front seat while car was parked. Scan code b1018 occupant sensor malfunctioned. Called nissan which noted that its a known issue with the 2008 rogue models and still has a recall campaign for that year but my 2009 model is not included. But ironically the same exact issue exist with both model and fixing the issue will cost me $1000. There numerous complaints on the same issue for nissan rogue models 2008 - 2010 but nissan is taking no action especially with a major airbag safety issue like so.

Takata recallair bag light is on for the passanger side and it wont turn off. The dealership wants to charge $2000.this should be a recall from the looks of it many of these vehicles are having the same issue.i feel unsafe driving my vehicle at this time.

Passenger air bag sensor fails resulting in no air bag deployed if accident was to occur. This occurred in other models of nissan rogue 2008, 2010 have both been recalled for this same issue. 2009 model has not been recalled for this issue yet, there are multiple complaints pertaining to this same year model for same issue. No accident occurred this was noted on routine safety check for state inspection is not covered by nissan and cost over 2000$ to fix.

My airbag passenger side light on the dash and on the right hand side of the vehicle came on at 100,000. This made me research recalls. I can not believe all the recalls for this problem except for 2009. Even though the car was built in 2008. I guess we are going to wait until people die until this will be done. We are to pay for it when this was a known problem.i really like my nissan but i can not put my family at risk of being hurt or even killed.i will not repurchase a nissan again.i guess it is cheaper to not fix it than to pay out settlements. The vehicle was never in an accident. Or hit a big bump.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving various speeds, the air bag warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the occupant restraint sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

The airbag warning lamp turned on out of nowhere when i started my car.. Just a regular day.. Seems to be an issue with the sensor and there is an active recall for 08 and '14 models with the same issue.. However the nissan dealer told me that they get a lot of clients with this issue for 09 models.

I have the srs light constantly on and was diagnosed that the occupant seat sensor is bad and need replacement. This device stop the passenger seat air bag from deploying even if there is an occupant, so they are at risk. Don't understand why users need to pay out of pocket for a safety device that should work. 2008 nissan rogue was recalled, so why other year aren't if the problem is not solved.

Passenger side seat belt sensor warning light remains lit at all timeswhether or not there is a passenger in the seat regardless if the vehicle is moving or not.

The air bag light comes on . Vehicle was service at balise nissan dealership to try to figure out what the problem was and see if they can fix it . All they did was reset the light and once we drove off dealership parking lot the light came back on like 10 min after .

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the passenger's side air bag warning light erroneously illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic where it was found that the software needed to be upgraded. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The failure mileage was 74,000. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure.

Light suddenly came on indicating that passenger side airbag was off when someone was sitting there. (no accident or bumps to car caused this-just came on one morning.) took to dealer said it was a sensor but they would have to replace the entire seat pad for $2000! said airbags will not function for passenger seat-it is not safe to ride there.

Takata recall the air bag device signal keep blinking this "takata air bag is what"s happening to my car as well.this is said to be very dangerous.i need to be safe while driving this car.

We were attempting to remove the propeller shaft to the rear wheels as the universal joints had worn out and the propeller shaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was up in the air on a hoist.the ignition was in the off position, front & rear bolts to propeller shaft were removed, one of the two bolts for the mid-ship mount was out. Our technician then heard what sounded like a firecracker go off. What we found was that the side air bags had deployed! we then accessed the fault codes in the srs system and found the following. B1211 rollover detection, b1081 & b1086 pretensioner rt ft & lt ft (open),b1145 & b1150 curtain module (open), b1177 ft rt seat belt pretensioner, & b1018 occupant sensor (unit fail). When we checked with the nissan dealer in kalamazoo, they sent us a tsb, dated 01/27/2014 # ntb08-055c which addresses problems nissan is having with all vehicles!!we have found numerous instances of this happening to owners of nissan's. We were using no power tools on the vehicle when this happened. I feel that these bags are deploying on people and causing accidents not the other way around. These vehicles need to be recalled. We have saved the parts that were replaced to get the vehicle repaired, for your inspection. There are many complaints from nissan owners, on line, that the side air curtains have deployed, at stop lights, when shutting doors, driving out driveways etc.thank you in advance for looking into this matter.

One day i started my car and the air bag light came on the dash board blinking for a minute and then stay on the whole time until i turn off my car, took it to a dealer and was told that the passenger sidesensor under the seat is bad, they wanted to charge me $1,200.00 to fix it, this happened right after the warranty expired around 72000 miles, so i have not fix it yet and as of today 01/03/2017 the air bag light is still on, i'm thinking that if i ever have an accident the passenger air bag will not deployed due to this problem, i hope that this report will help other people to come forward and report this problem so it can get resolved...

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated the airbag warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to hart nissan located at (6564 mechanicsville turnpike, mechanicsville, va 804-417-0202) who diagnosed that the vehicle occupancy sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the2008 and 2010 nissan rogues were included in nhtsa campaign number 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system), however, the 2009 nissan rogue was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. A case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000. *dt

Faulty ocuppant seat sensor in the passenger front seat.the airbag will not deploy in a collision.

Takata recallupon start up of the vehicle, the airbag sensor light is now flashing on the drivers instrument panel and will not shut off.dealer has informed me it will cost approximately $2000.00 for the repair.vehicle is now rendered unsafe with disabled airbags.

The passenger airbag indicates "off" even when an adult is sitting in the passenger seat.airbag warning light constantly flashing in dash.this problem seems to be a common one in this model year vehicle and should be repaired under safety recall through the dealership.it would be a very sad day when someone has an accident / crash and the passenger airbag does not deploy, potentially causing injury or even death!

Approx. 63000 air bag sensor light came on. Passenger air bags not working vehicle stationary, nisson will do nothing, although 2008 were recalled, many similar complaints have been reported.

Airbag light flashing

Driver and passenger air bag lights are flashing.. First noticed the problem while driving on surface street last month. Have not had any problems with vehicle prior to this incident. Have not taken car to dealer yet.

The electrical air bag sensors for the passenger seat have become dysfunctional.the air bag light indicator continually flashes on the dashboard and the specific air bag passenger light stays on.i took the car in for repair and the dealership cleared a code associated with the air bags sensors.the air bag lights functioned normally for only a couple of days and then returned back to flashing and/or staying on continuously.i was advised that the sensors in the passenger seat are not working and that it will cost $2,500 to repair.i understand that there was a recall on 2008 nissan rogue air bag systems but apparently there is not a recall on the 2009 models.i am not paying $2,500 to repair sensors in the passenger seat.this seems to be a malfunction of the product that should be addressed by the manufacturer.

Vehicle stationary..started the vehicle airbag light flashing..passenger airbag status light show off even when some is sitting in the seat. Vehicle taken to dealership where tech report passenger airbag senor not working...dealership repair $3100...

Passenger air bag warning light is on constantly, gainesville nissan (fl) charged over $100 to tell me the seat sensor is bad and $2,500 to fix it. 2008 and 2010 rogues are covered by recall, but not 2009. Will never buy nissan again! safety issue, they don't care if customers die.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated continuously. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The mechanic stated that the passenger seat sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

The passenger side air bag light will not turn off when a passenger is in the seat. The dash board air bag indicator also stays on.

The airbag sensor is defective in the 2009 nissan rogue just like the 2008 and 2010 rogue. The airbag weight sensor in the passenger seat stays on disabling the passenger airbag to whom even sits there. It also leaves a flashing airbag light in the dashboard.nissan is ware of the problem and makes you pay them to diagnose the problem at an hourly rate then charge you over $2000 to replace the seat like they did for the 2008 and 2010 models in a recall. The parts are the same in the 2009 model.

My 2009 rogue air bag light came on and i took it to the dealership. They said it would be $2200 to fix and that if i was in a wreck the air bags may or may not work. I'm seeing a lot of people have this issue and it's a huge safety concern that nissan needs to address. I will never buy another nissan. The sensor that need to be replaced is in the car seat. Why was it designed like that??? stupid!

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the passenger's side air bag warning light flashed continuously at start-up. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the passenger's side front seat needed to be replaced to repair the vehicle. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 62,000.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the air bag senor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,000. Updated 5/12/15

The failure was not diagnosed and was not reported to a local dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure was not repaired. The failure mileage was 160,000

Air bag failure - the airbag sensor in the passenger seat failed which caused the entire airbag system to not work (as noted by the flashing airbag light on the dash as well as the secondary airbag light constantly on near the gear shifter).this is a safety issue and concern.this particular year of the nissan rogue was not part of a recall (2008 and 2010 were included in a recall for the exact same issue).as a result, in order for the airbag system to work and to remain safe in the car when driving, it requires a new passenger seat cushion.this repair costs greater than $2000 (part and labor).

Exact same issue as for ntb08-095 recall affecting 2008 nissan rogue but called nissan and they do not cover this for the 2009.ocu malfunction code b1018.

The passenger air bag sensor light is flashing. The nissan dealership determined that the airbag sensor is not working and would require a new sensor which cost $2500 to replace.i was told that in the case of an accident the airbag may or may not deploy.

Takata recall. After the crash the airbag went out but not inflated.i was on a highway and because of a water bump the vehicle moves and crash with the highway division throwing the vehicle to the emergency lane and stoped inmediately. After that i removed very easy the airbag and walk away from the vehicle .seatbelts locked.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While starting the vehicle, the air bag warning indicator illuminated, which was a safety concern. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and referred the contact to the local dealer. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 93,000.

Airbag light is on. I was told its a takata airbag, but is not covered on current recall. I need to report so that it can be added to the list of takata airbag recalls.

I can't get the airbag to stop flashing.i've been to an automotive shop twice.they reset it and then it begins flashing within days.

" takata recall"-my passenger air bag light went on and then the airbag light on the dashboard. I went to the dealer and they charged me to tell me i have defective airbags. I was told they are not under any warranty or recall. I juts bought the car used from nissan in feb 2015. They are saying i have to start with replacing my passenger seat and that will be$1,900 and there is no guarantee that the repair will stop there. I was told that none of the airbags will function until this is repaired.

Passenger air bag sensor has failed. Air bag light blinks. Sensor is in seat.cvt transmissions fail without warning. Research indicates this occurs at highway speeds and causes a hazard in traveled lanes.

Started the vehicle one day and the airbag light on the dashboard was on. The passenger airbag indicator was also on, which indicates that said airbag is disabled but there was no one in the seat. Looking up the dashboard's airbag light flashing sequence in the service manual (one long blink followed by five quick blinks), the problem stems from the occupant classification system sensor that is embedded in the passenger seat bucket. Research shows that this is a safety component which has been in other service bulletins for various nissan vehicles. For the rogue, the recall campaign bulletin ntb-095d covers this exact issue but only for 2008 units. Forum posts by owners appear to indicate that many others have had this issue for vehicles not covered in said bulletin.the cost to replace the seat is around $2,000, since nissan can not replace the sensor itself. This is cost prohibitive considering that the vehicle has not been in an accident. It presents failure on the vehicle's safety system, which contrary to mechanical systems is subject to minimal wear (if any), significantly reducing the vehicles usability unless the owner is willing to take the unnecessary risk of using it in the mean time.

'takata recall". I got into may 2009 nissan rogue when all sudden my airbag light indicated airbag had been inflated. Light indicator shows steering wheel inflated. I called nissan 1-800 was told to call local dealer who sold me car. Called world car nissan and person was very rude when asked if it was dangerous to drive or if there was a recall on the airbag. I'm very concerned it may inflate without notice or may not work if needed. This is obviously a problem as i read the 2008 airbags were recalled for same issue.

My car honk is no longer working, the technician checked the fuse box but did not see any issues.

Takata recall - flashing air bag dash light renders the air bag system susceptible to failure. Exact same issue with 2008 and 2010 model nissan rogue covered under recall.why not 2009 model?! issue a recall for 2009 model nissan rogue to fix this issue by year end.

I am writing to alert the nhtsa to a possible defect in nissan's airbag control system for this vehicle and to register my dissatisfaction with how nissan north america responded to my request for a remedy.i purchased this 2009 nissan rogue awd at auction on 3 july 2013.nissan's leasing arm was the previous owner.i noticed from the outset that the light indicating the status of the passenger side airbag sometimes showed inactive, even when an adult weighing over 50kg was sitting in the front passenger seat.however, the problem was intermittent, and brown's fairfax nissan was not able to replicate the condition when i took the vehicle for a check on 13 july 2013.the problem is occurring more frequently of late, and now the front passenger side airbag occasionally shows that it is active, even when there is nothing on the passenger seat.brown's wanted $128 to "diagnose" the problem but, since it remained intermittent, was not sure anything would come of the diagnostic procedure.at about this time, i received a recall notice for an ecm problem (by the way, the vehicle initially failed emissions inspection in july of 2013 when i took it to my regular service station, but brown's was able to get a "pass" reading).i asked nissan north america to authorize brown's to conduct a diagnosis of the passenger-side airbag problem at the time of the ecm repair.nissan refused.because this problem remains intermittent, i am unsure how to proceed.i do not wish to pay $128 several times for repeated "diagnosis", but clearly something is wrong with the airbag system.i am submitting this complaint in case other instances of this type of problem with nissan vehicles might have been recorded.for now and until the problem becomes consistent, i will not carry front-seat passengers.

The airbag light comes on and does not turn off.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. Upon starting the vehicle and while driving various speeds, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact mentioned that she recently purchased the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 59,000.

My 2009 nissan rogue has never been in an accident. Out of nowhere my passenger airbag light started to flash, i brought it in to my local mechanic who said that it was the airbag sensor underneath the passenger seat and that he was unable to do anything about it as it takes certain programming to make the airbags work appropriately. I then brought my car in to a nissan dealer where they told me it would be $200 to hook their machine us to read the code to even begin the diagnostic process i've been told them that this is reported on line time after time again specifically on the 2008 and 2009 models and i don't feel i should have to pay for them to hook up a machine to read the diagnostic code in which i had in my hand. After doing more research online i have had numbers between $300 and $2,000 be quoted for this part to fix the issue and according to most of the people that have said they paid to have it fixed at some point they came back and reissued new complaints on the same form that it does happen over and over again. How is nissan not fixing an issue that makes their airbags disfunctional and not deploy? i guess it takes some death and a lawsuit before it will get done.

The air bag indicator light blinks on the instrument panel and the passenger airbag indicator light (near the gear shifter) stays on all the time. The nissan customer forums indicate this is a significant problem with the ocs airbag sensor located in the passenger seat. Nissan has not recalled this vehicle to correct this safety issue. Nissan refers owners to the local dealer's service center to have it replaced at the owner's expense.

Vehicle lost acceleration while changing lanes and crashed with another faster car.

When i purchase this vehicle on may 7, 2019 i noticed the right air bag lights stays on the dash board while driving the vehicle. Just starting the car the air bag light comes up on the dashboard.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the passenger side air bag warning light illuminated as a passenger was sitting in the seat. The passenger side air bag light warned the passenger that the air bag was not on. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer for a diagnostic test. The dealer stated that the entire passenger seat cushion needed to be replaced. The contact had the seat cushion replaced however, the repair did not solve the issue with the passenger side air bag light. The contact called the manufacturer regarding the malfunctioning air bag sensor. The manufacturer stated that there was nothing they could do to assist the contact. The failure mileage was 21,448.

The passenger side air bag light will not turn off when a passenger is in the seat. The dash board air bag indicator also stays on.

Blinking airbag light on dashboard. Took it to the dealer they charged $115 for inspection and said that passenger seat cushion needs to be changed which has ocs sensor built in, which would cost additional $1965. This is a common problem with all nissan rogue 2009 and the company must recall to resolve this as if the airbags do not deploy in case of accident it could cause serious injuries or death

As of yesterday (9/3/2020) my 2009 nissan rogue with 101,000 miles has her passenger side, airbag light flashing on the dash and the console airbag light on. My research shows the airbag sensor to have been a recall on '08 and '10 rogues, but not '09. (the tsb no. Is 08-095d.) this makes zero sense to me, it is an extreme danger to me and my family, and unacceptable. When the light came on the car had been parked for about 1 hour, prior it had been driven about 8 miles from its parking spot. It has since been parked and turned on again after 12 hrs, lights are still on and blinking on the dash. Please recall this vehicle for recall of this faulty equipment. Death is not an option for this correctable problem.

My air bag warning light blinking all the time, when i took to the dealer they advice me to replace air bag and sensors it cost more than $2000.00.a fuel gauge light on dash board is dropped when it's full tank.

My nissan rogue2009 passenger airbag warning light is now blinking> i took it to a repair shop and they said the seat sensor has went bad. I understand that this is the exact issue as thentb08-095 recall affecting the2008 nissan rogue but it is not covered for the 2009. This warning alert was reset, but it didn't work. The estimated cost to fix this is $2000.

The electrical unit that controls the passenger air bag, located in the right passenger seat, has been found to be in nonworking order by the dealer and dealer claims there is no active recall regarding that malfunction.for the dealer to replace said part would cost the owner $2000.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired and the failure recurred. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system); however, the manufacturer stated that the vin was not included in a recall. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 151,600.

There was an accident that occurred with this car and the passenger airbag did not deploy, which could have caused a major injury to the passenger. I have noticed that this a know issue with the 2008 nissan rouge. The airbag sensor in not working and this is extremely dangerous especially, since an accident occurred. Nissan should be responsible to fix this issue, since they know they had problems with this model the year before.

The supplemental air bag warning light has been flashing for over four years and you would think that there would be a recall for this since it just came on by itself without warning.

After removing a briefcase from the passenger front seat, the airbag light on the dashboard stays on (flashes).it never goes off when the car is stationary or in motion.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the air bag warning light was flashing on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with the occupant classification system sensor needing to be replaced in the passengerā€™s side seat cushion. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was relating the failure to an unknown recall. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 84,200.

Passenger side airbag light stays on. Reset by dealer, and back on within a day or two. Dealer now says they have traced this back to a faulty sensor in the seat cushion, and the cost of the part alone is over $2000.00this is a major safety issue, there a numerous complaints on here for various years of rogues. And that is just from the people who have taken the time to voice concern.

The passenger side airbag indicator keeps on and the airbag light on the dashboard is flashing. We started noticing the issue in year 2015 and this has never been fixed. We hoped nissan can fix the same issue as they recalled 2008 nissan rogue (08-095d).

My air bag light continues to blink indicating something wrong with my passenger side air bag. I was told that due to this problem, the passenger seat needed to be replaced. An expensive repair. Recall reference #ntb08-095c specifically addresses this problem. However, my vehicle was is included in the recall. I feel that my nissan rogue 2009 ( produced in jan 2009)and the air bag manufactured by takata, should be included in the recall and repaired. This is a problem, with numerous people also posting about it.thanks in advancefor your attention to this matter.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving at 55 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front passenger side air bag control assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 77,978. Updated 09/18/15*lj updated 11/08/2017

This is to report the constant flashing airbag warning signal on the panel of my vehicle.now the signal has advanced to include a person with a balloon bag in a sitting position.i have just over 60,000 miles but the airbag light has been coming on but not going off now it's constant.i contacted nissan service to report the problem and asked if it could be looked at as a recall item.i was told that it was nota recall problem and i will need to pay $128 for a diagnosis test.of course i'm not paying for a problem that is known to be defected.i'm still waiting on a service manager to call me regarding their response.in reading all the other airbag problems someone needs to check into this serious matter that may cause harm.this occurs no matter where the vehicle is the light comes on and will not go out when driving.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the front passenger side air bag light flashed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was operating normally and could not be repaired. The contact took the vehicle to another dealer and was informed that a diagnostic test was needed. No repairs were made to the vehicle. The failure mileage was 77,400.

The airbag light turned on and wouldnā€™t turn off.

The passenger side airbag light would occasionally comes off indicating deactivation while the seat is occupied and while driving or stopping. Passengers (me or my wife usually) are about 119 pounds and usually set in the middle of the seat. The deactivation light would sometimes stay on then off while driving or until the car is turned off.nissan has changed the car front seat cushion on 24april2010. The problem still occurs more often than before. I contact nissan ([xxx]). Nissan rep would not return my call.[xxx]asked me to take the car to the deal first then call him back. I did and left many messages. I got no reply back. I want this issue fixed before warranty is over. This is a major safety issue. Please help me. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

So shortly after purchasing this vehicle brand new the passenger side air bag would deactivate when sat in.as was this a very intermittent problem and would not do it when we had time to take it back to the dealer the car now has 30,000 miles on it and now when nobody is sitting in the seat the air bag stays on at all time, and when sat in it deactivates.i took it back to the dealership at 29,000 miles and they said due to the age it was out of warranty and it would cost a lot of moneyto replace the entire seat cushion.they saw i had my iphone on the seat and said thatis probably the reason for the failure.ok so a pressure switch is hurt by a phone? i see there was a recall for 2008 units and wonder if this should apply to 2009 as well as this air bag not deploying my result in serious injury. It is now may 2013 and this issue has been now verified by the dealer and under 36000 mile warranty, why is there not a longer warranty on such a serious safety issue?

Takata recall.air bag light stays on all the time.brought to dealer.charged me $160 to tell me of a sensor pad malfunction and entire passenger seat would need to be replaced due to failure of srs system that would cost approx 1,900.i understand 2008 and 2010 models were recalled for this problem but not 2009.why not??

Passenger air bag warning lamp on drivers dash lit and is on while driving and will come back on with restart too. Can not clear. Happens when driving and stopped. It is not clock spring trouble it is a known problem recalled on all rogues receipt 2009.

My passenger airbag light came on, dealer told me it was a bad sensor and needed to be replaced and it would cost at least $1,200. I am the original owner and when it is something that concerns safety, nissan should make due to it's promise and do the repairs for the customer.

Airbag light blinking on instrument panel and passenger seat airbag light on. Nissan of bowie in maryland wants to charge me over $2474.56 to trim, seat cushion front. Vehicle failure 11/04/2020 at 90,090 miles. Op code bs119.

"takata recall"my passanger seat belt light has been on for the pass 6 months. No accidents, car was stationary. I have no problems yet, but i read on other websites that this is a common problem i n the 2009 nissan rogue and that it is expensive to get fixed. If this is because of a manufacturer defect, i would like it fixed by a nissan dealership for free.

Recent bump in road caused side air bags to deploy, but not the front.now having to replace entire seat because censor is bad on passenger air bag side.will not pass inspection.2008 models have a recall, but 2009's do not.

I have a 2009 nissan rogue. Bought it used from year, at about 55000-60000 miles the air bag light starts to flash with no incident before. I went to the dealer he found a b1018 code and says my front seat sensor is no good. Needs to replace the front seat assembly, and wants 3000$ for that. I looked in the web and saw this is a serious problem with the rogue. And they had some recalls because of that.i find it hard to believe they could locate all the bad sensors the used so probably i got a bad sensor to start with. Don't know what to do now with the car. Any suggestions? help? i think nissan should bare thecost of this problem.

Passenger side seat cushion ocs unit. Airbag light is always on.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the supplemental restraint system warning light illuminated and blinking on the instrument panel. The contact also stated that the passenger's side air bag warning light was also illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the passenger's side frontal occupation sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 63,000.

The passenger air bag light intermittently indicates that the passenger air bag is off while the seat is occupied by an adult.this is the same problem for which a recall was issued for 2007-2008 nissan rogues and many other nissan models.the nissan service department cannot find the problem.

The airbags will not deploy on the passenger side of the car because of an air bag seat fault in the 2009 rogue cars. The 2008 and 2010 rogue models had the same problem but a recall was enforced on it. Nissan admitted the 2009 seat sensor was made by the same company but it was a vin problem.found on your site affected vin numbers all start with jn8as58 including mine. We are all having this dangerous problem of the air bags being shut off automatically. Nissan wants 2000 dollars to repair the problem. This problem also passes the safety part of a nys vehicle inspection. I though air bags were put in the car to save lives, but is not considered a safety issue them not deploying.please push for a recall before someone dies.

Tl *the contact owns a 2009 nissan rouge. While driving 45 mph the air bag light would intermittently appear on the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where thecontact was informed that the vehicle could not be serviced.the failure mileage was 3,000 and the current mileage was 7,200.

Took car to dealer for airbag light and diagnostic says airbag sensor on passenger seat. Cost of $2,000 to replace. Many reports of the same and dealer says no recalls for this.

The air bag warning light blinks all the time. This also turns off the passenger side airbag. It appears that 2008 through 2013 have the same problem. Why is 2009 not recalled for the same defect?

My air bag light continued to blink indicating something wrong with my passenger side air bag. I was told that due to this problem, the passenger seat needed to be replaced.an expensive repair. Recall reference #ntb08-095c specifically addresses this problem. However, my vehicle was not included in the recall. I feel that my nissan rogue 2009 ( produced in nov. 2008) and the air bag manufactured by takata, should be included in the recall and repaired.thank you for your attention to this matter.

The airbag light came out flashing take to the mechanic nothing error with the vehicle

The light of the airbag turn on at the dame time that the controls of the steering wheel dont work to change the radio station and the light of the ab still always on

My 2009 nissan rogue is pulling a code for the occupancy-classification sensor fail. This is the same fail that has been recalled on several nissan models. The fix, i'm told is a new seat. This is obviously excessive and not reasonable given the history of nissan and the ocs sensor failures on their vehicles.

Airbags passenger wont work because of faulty sensor in passenger seat.

I am 5'1" and approx 105 lbs.when i or a friend (under 110 lbs) sits in the front passenger seat the passenger airbag off light goes on.i have taken it in to the dealer several times for this issue.last time they replaced the seat and airbag sensor.the problem persists. I took it in again today and was told that there was nothing mechanically wrong/malfunctioning just that the seat and sensors are designed to turn the airbag off if an adult weighs under 110 lbs.in the event of an accident, if i or a friend (who isunder 110 lbs) is in the passenger seat we will not be protected by the airbag.i am frustrated.why was i leased a vehicle that is not safe?i previously had a murano and did not have this problem.i have looked at current muranos and do not have this problem.it only occurs with the rogue.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. Whenever the contact sits in the front passenger seat while sitting on a 2 inch thick cushion the airbag sensor will deactivate shutting power off in the passenger side airbag. Front passenger side door lock stopped working and now only works manually from the inside

Passenger door will lock by itself when no one has locked it.electronic door locks takes two or three presses of the key to open.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal burning odor coming from the vehicle. The failure recurred two times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v032000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was 74,000. Updated 5/7/15

Driver and front passenger doors fail to open from the outside of the vehicle. I have to open back passenger door and manually engage the driver door lock from the inside. Took car to dealer and dealer stated that the charge to fix both doors would be $650. I do not understand how this can not be a safety issue that should be addressed by nissan and our government. I guess when it comes time to purchase another vehicle i will not visit a nissan nor infinity dealership. Nissan should be ashamed!

After a very cold day in tennessee, the front drivers side and passengers side doors in my nissan rogue would no longer open from the outside.after visiting the nissan dealership, i was told that this was not a safety issue and that the bracket and the cable actuator in both doors had gone bad and that the cost for the repair would be over $1,000.the fact that this is not considered a safety hazard and that nissan is not standing behind its product is appalling.while there has not been an accident yet, this malfunction could be the difference between an emergency responder (or helpful citizen) being able to get to someone following an accident or vehicle fire.not only is this a huge safety hazard for this reason, it also presents personal safety issues with trying to climb into the back of the vehicle to open the vehicle?s front door.this creates opportunities for robbery and abduction.nissan has failed to stand behind its product by not providing to its customers a voluntary recall to replace, at their cost, the parts which are causing the safety hazard.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. Approximately ten minutes after the contact's daughter came back with the vehicle, the alarm sounded and the vehicle burst into flames. There was no warning indicator. The fire department extinguished the fire and filed a report. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but did not return the contact's phone call. Two months after the fire, the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v032000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was approximately 139,000.

Both drivers door and frontpassenger door locks not working. They are not unlocking with remote or key. The remote opens the rear doors only, then you have to climb in and reach the inside front latch to open the door. Then get out the vehicle and enter thru the front door. Nissan had or has recall on the 2008 rouge for the same problem. Why not on the 2009 rogue? i goggled my problem with the vehicle and found thousands of people with the same problem. We need a recall on the 2009 as well. Thanks for listening.

Driverand passenger doors wont open from out side.

Http://www.petitiononline.com/petitions/nissanml/signatures?page=21my lock actuator has gone bad and i was informed by my nissan dealership this is a known issue and it she be placed on a recall list.i did a little research and it looks like many different rogues have the same issue. This is a very costly fix and due to faulty manufacturing we as consumers have to buy another with hopes that it will continue to work. My car is not old there should be no reason to replace this part so soon.

My car honk is no longer working, the technician checked the fuse box but did not see any issues.

Car sputtered, lurched, and came to a stop on us 190 highway. It refused to start and appeared to be out of gas. However, there was still 1/2 tank and trip odometer agreed with the gauge. Car was towed to the dealer where the sole issue was found to be the mass air flow sensor, which is supposed to only affect the gas mileage. The total cost was $700.an economy device that can cause sudden failure is not acceptable. Something appears to be wrong with nissans cpu code for this vehicle.no warning message appeared on the dash at any time.

I own a 2009 nissan rogue with 44,000 miles on it. About 3 weeks ago my driver's seat wouldn't open from the outside, and about a week ago the same thing happened with the passenger seat. I am now obligated to enter my car through the back seat. I did my research and found that this has been happening to many rogues and there are even recalls on some model years (except for mine of course). The service department at the hudson nissan on route 440 in jersey city, nj want to charge me $130.00 just to take the door apart to see what the issue is. Needless to say i did not agree with the price. What do i do? i have a nearly new car that i can't get into and this is a nissan issue as it has happened to many rogue owners.

Ignition switch does not activate starter

One day, there were no issues with the vehicle.the following day, when attempting to drive, the car exhibited extremely poor acceleration from a stop (i.e. Starting a car in 4th gear).the car would very slowly accelerate to ~25mph, then begin to perform better.clearing an intersection from a stopped position took up to 5-10s longer than it should have.also determined that the car no longer had functioning break lights.car was not safely usable.seems to be a very common issue with this model, based on internet searches.the dealer claimed initially to have no knowledge at all of this issue.dealer replaced brake pedal switch and problem was resolved.repair was not done under warranty, but was done under my extended warranty, so i still had to pay to have this known, safety critical issue repaired.

Recall -harness connector (torque converted solenoid circuit intermittent)previous recall wasn't completed properly as i continue to experience intermittent erratic behavior of the power train and related circuitry, two weeks after the manufacturer said they fixed the harness connector inspect and replace recall (rogue connect) that was place on the car. The car jerks uncontrollably when driving at high speed on the highway or hesitates at stop then takes off suddenly at high speed.i like for the manufacturer to look into this and properly address this recall by fixing this issue with this vehicle they built which i still current drive.a diagnostic scan was done at autozone and i was told the torque converter solenoid circuits are intermittent and that it's due to a damaged transmission wiring harness that is either loose or open circuit in the system and may cause a fire.

The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.

We had a check engine light come on, took it to the dealer the next day said it was nothing. Went on a trip 200 ish miles on the way home i had to pass a car and when i stepped on the gas nothing happened. I was left looking at on coming traffic and had to move back over. No acceleration at all. Scared we were going to ruin it by driving any longer i pulled over. We had lunch and tried again about an hour later it seemed fine. About 15 mins into the drive it did the same thing. Not sure exactly what the problem is but i believe it has something to do with the transmission. Also yesterday it rained and now the traction control light has come on. The car is far to new to have these kind of problems, and they could cause accidents.

Got the suv in may 2017 usedand this year 2018 it did not pass n.y. State inspection po448- evaporative emission sytem vent contral circuit shorted#p0455 evaporative emission system leak detected large leak. Resulits - fail. Note how did this pass last year ? it has 59,841 mileage.

The approximate failure mileage was 106,000.

While driving a highway on 65 mph sudden loss of acceleration occurs. Pressing the acceleration pedal does not make any effect on a car speed. Rpm falls to 1-2k and did not goes up. Was able to pull over and stop. After 15 minutes with the engine turned off, problem disappears.this happened for the third time, as a previously,it occurs after a long drive (more than 3 hours) or on a high speed (more than 75 mph).it is a safety concern when a car decelerated from 65 to 30 mph on a highway.

Car transmission makes whining sound.as you drive up an incline it gets worse.car shuts down while driving.you are forced to pull over as you have no power.after 5 -10 minutes the car will start up again.car was brought to nissan and they were aware of the issue.they installed an external oil cooler as their cvt transmission has issues with overheating.this is most definitely a safety issue as the car just shuts down and apparently this is a known problem by nissan.nissan charged $1000 to fix the issue which should be a recalled safety issue with the car. There have been numerous complaints and situations where this has happened to other rogue owners.

This is a safety issue! - over the past few years, i filed a complaint to the nhtsa and made numerous complaints to the dealer service center about this ongoing problem with the cvt. I commute everyday on the nj turnpike. I have to make stops 'to let the engine/cvt cool off' both going and coming home from work because the car will not accelerate. I barely get over to the shoulder in high speed traffic. Sometimes if there isn't an immediate shoulder, i have to go at a speed of 5-10 mph in high speed turnpike traffic of 60-80 mph to finally get to a shoulder.i already replaced one cvt in this car. This problem has been going on since 2009 when i purchased this car. Now i see in 2014 nissan came up with a 'fix' to replace/install a cooler kit and a trans oil cooler. The two kits cost about $860 without installation. Why is this cost passed on to us the consumers? this is a problem with the nissan cvt design. Nissan should make good on their promise to the customer and recall the vehicles with this cvtissue to replace/install the needed parts without making us pay for their defective vehicle design.oh and i i said earlier, i have been complaining to the dealer service center for years including 2014 and none of the service techs ever mentioned the cooler kit fixes to me.their response was that they could not duplicate the problem i was having with the car. I will never buy another nissan and i tell everyone i know about these cvt issues. There are at least 100+ complaints on this site about the cvt. What will it take to get a recall? why do the consumers have to pay for nissan's faulty cvt design?

Vehicle lost acceleration while changing lanes and crashed with another faster car.

The car went into "limp mode" unexpectedly and does not move. Nissan's older cvt transmission gets hot and to protect itself, nissan has it programmed to shut itself down. As a result, the car will not move, even though it is in gear. This happens after long highway drives (1 hour +) or when climbing long hills.the dealer solution is to continually flush the transmission fluid every 30k miles at a cost of over $200 each time.this is very very very dangerous, if you are making a left-hand turn into traffic after coming to a stop, there is a huge potential to be involved in a collision.additionally, when on the highway, climbing a hill, the car has again, gone into limp mode and slowed down to a crawl, making the vehicle behind you almost rear-end you.additionally, nissan's answer has been to extend the warranty on the transmission to 120k, but that is of no value because the dealers will never admit that the cvt needs replacing nor does it pay for the $250 cvt flush.please look into this, it is very very very dangerous.

Tl * the contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle would not accelerate past 80 mph. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing, but the results were unknown. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 23,000. Updated 09/26/14*ljthe consumer stated after driving 80 continuous miles the vehicle would loose power. It would decelerate to 30mph and not respond to acceleration. The manufacturer was notified and refused any assistance. After driving 50 continuous miles at a time, the driver must pull over to a safe stop in order to let the engine rest for 10 minutes. Front engine cradle subframe crossmember bushing kits have issues due to which i am getting constant sound from the engine. This seems to be a regular complaint with my kind of vehicle. Which is nissan rougher 2009 sl.

While driving the vehicle up hills or during hot days, the vehicle will suddenly ignore the gas pedal and slow down.this becomes treacherous on long drives that involve going over hills or mountains as they car will slow to under 40mph and will not respond to the gas pedal.after bringing my vehicle to the dealership, they stated there is an ecm recall.they changed out the part, but the issue when driving still occurred.nissan is aware of the problem (see ntb14-002), however the issue is not considered a recall and is labeled as a customer expense for those outside the 60,000 mile warranty and optional upgrade.this is a serious flaw for any rogue owners, and is a safety risk while driving.nissan should replace the flawed cooling systems at their expense, especially since the defect was not detected until 11/25/2015.

Issue when driving at first for long periods. The car will start to slow down. Can't or won't accelerate. I call about this issue 2 years ago and i was dismissed. But i see there's a class action lawsuit in other states, describing the same issue with different nissan models. The cvt... I would think if theres an issue nissan, being as big as they are would address it. But it looks like all you companies like to to is shove us under the rug . I like my car and it's not fair that i'd have to go to such length to have this addressed. I've had maintenance done which is costly and still no tix...

My nissan rogue will periodically stop acceleration while i am driving on the highway.i have the pedal pushed all the way down and the car will not accelerate.i will be going the posted speed and for no apparent reason, my car will start to de-accelerating on its own.after reading several complaints i am finding out that this is due to the cvt transmission in this particular model.this is a safety hazard to anyone who is driving this car.also, i have noticed a loud noise when i put the car in gear, which i am reading is a sign that the transmission is going out.i purchased an extended warranty on this vehicle but none of the repairs that i have listed are covered.this car is a piece of junk and i will not get anything for it upon trade-in.i am stuck with this car, and have put over $3,000 in this car already over the last 6 months.

The car will not go over 40 miles per hour on mountain passes.it is very scary when sharinga 2 lane highway with trucks.it overheats and you are stuck.i am not the only one with a 2009 rogue having this issue.it needs to be recalled and repaired by nissan not by the consumer.

While taking a family trip in july 2017 weeks ago on i95 drivingafter about an hour, the vehicle would not accelerate once the speedometer hit 65 to 70.at certain times trying to move into another lane the vehicle wouldn't accelerate even when pressing the gas pedal to the floor and at times while driving it also started to decelerate.it displayed the same problem again when traveling on the highway the following week after about an hour.extremely dangerous especially when trying to merge or move out of the way of another vehicle that is behind you.

I was leaving a store and gas light came on.i knew that i had fill up before entering the i-95 interstateand i was a bit perplexed.i drove to a gas station and filled up once again and notice that the gas gaugefilled to its capacity.this occurred a few months ago and i dismissed it.on 9/19/13, i stopped at a gas station and the check engine light came on.on 9/20/13 i took the vehicle to the dealership for a diagnostic check and was told that i needed a fuel sending unit which would cost me $1,087 which includes parts and labor.of course, i decline to repair it because at that time i was frustrated with nissan and was thinking about trading in the car.previously, i took the vehicle back on two occasions for transmission problems which i was grateful that it was under warranty. The dealership replaced the transmission and treated this incident an occurring problem with 09 rogue. I only have this vehicle for 1.5 years and i am fearful each time that i drive.even the triple a young man told me to get rid of it because within the last month he has to tow quite a few. My commute on interstate each day is worrisome because i don't know what is going to happen next.now i am stuck with a new problem with this vehicle that i am still paying for and spending more money on gas because i don't know what can happen .please we must do something with this company nissan.i placed a complaint today 9/23/13and was told they would call me back since they don't have any information with this type of recall.(liars) they are lots of complaints about the fuel sending unit on nissans.i am not certain if i will continue to make payments on a car that i truly feel unsafe with or write off my loss and look for another vehicle. Either way, i had to write this complaint since i have never felt so unsafe driving a vehicle.

Item one-whining noise when acceleratingitem 2-engine intermittently shuts off when stopping at an intersection

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle made an abnormal rumbling noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the tires may be the cause of the failure. The tires were rotated, but the rumbling noise was still present. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic for a second opinion where it was diagnosed by the technician that the tires were not the issue; however, the motor was moving when the vehicle was on. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the axle needed to be replaced. The failure recurred. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who stated that the dealer never performed the repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 68,000.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rouge. While driving approximately 60 mph, the rpm gauge fluctuated without warning, causing the vehicle to accelerate and decelerate independently. The failure recurred three times. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic twice, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was later taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle suddenly decelerated then stalled.the contact had to turn the vehicle off and wait for hours before it could be restarted.the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure.the vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified.the failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

When going over 60 miles an hour, usually about an hour into a long drive, the nissan rogue will not accelerate. The rpm indicator goes haywire and my foot is completely down on the pedal but there is no acceleration. This first happened in august 2012 when i was driving over a mountain to get to the desert so i thought the car was overheating. Since then this has been happening consistently whenever i drive for over an hour (which i often do for work). At times, the car will not move forward if it is at a stoplight even when my foot is completely on the floor. Then it revs up after a minute but not before everyone else starts honking. This is extremely dangerous when you are on the freeway and suddenly your car stops accelerating. All the cars behind you start passing you but it will only take one car not paying attention to cause a huge accident, injury or death and then nissan will be in real trouble. I have found hundreds of incidences and complaints from other nissan rogue drivers over the past couple years with the exact same problem.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, there was a complete loss of engine power without warning. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for a diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 73,000 and the current mileage was 75,000.

When i was traveling on the highway for over an hour going 80 mph, the vechicle quickly deccelerated and when i stepped on the pedal for gas all the way to the floor it did not accelerate. It was very scary since there were are traveling behind me and i was afraid they would crash into me. This has happened every time i take my vehicle on the highway traveling for over an hour for the past year. I am terrified i am going to cause a crash while traveling with my child, this is definitely a safety hazard.

Cvt transmission will not switch gears efficiently causing the vehicle to move slow in high speed roads & highways.

I was traveling on a highway on a long distance trip and after about 2 1/2 hours, my vehicle won't accelerate past 60 mph as i was passing another vehicle. It was dangerous this happened because vehicles(including big trucks) behind me had to brake because of my unexpected no acceleration.there were no warning lights lit on the instrument panel to indicate anything wrong. After a the rest stop, the vehicle went back to normal but did it again while returning three days later and after driving for more than two and half hours. Called nissan customer service and was told to take it to nissan dealer to get checked.called dealer and i have appointment next week.

I have had my car for four years now, and early this last year, my engine light came on, had it checked out, and they stated i had a leak near my gas cap, so they advised me to purchase a new gas cap, because the suction was go on the old one, i did that, and the next day, i though came back on, i went back to them, and they stated that the way that the leak is, overtime i got gas, i would need to push in the cap and that should seal it. Needless to say that didn't work, it been months later and i have had four different parts related on the vehicle that did not need replacing and my light is still on! they can't figure out what is cause it to come on. The other issue is that my car will not accelerate up hills, i have to have the rpm's on 4 or 5 just to get the car up the hill, and then going down the hill, i car sound like something is wrong. I was told nothing is wrong with it, but i know there is something wrong, it should not sound like that. The next issue that i a having is that my ac compressor is shot. I have been trying to get it replaced all summer now, and for some reason, my car will not accept any of the new ones, i have had about three new ones, i have no clue what to do next. I am moving to georgia in a few weeks, and i am going to need ac!

My transmission got stuck in 1st gear when pulling out onto a busy road, causing me to have pull over and almost getting hit by other vehicles, when i took it to my mechanic and then a licensed nissan dealership i was informed it was the transmission and furthermore informed that on the consumer affairs nissan website it states they have had many problems with this transmission and doubled the warranty from 60,000 miles to 120,000 miles due to this defective transmission, on not just my model and year but over 8 years and 3 different models of nissans however because i was 5000 miles over the warranty they would not help me pay for the $3586 i had to pay to make the vehicle driveable and secondly what if this transmission would have gotten stuck or went out on a hwy where i was doing 65 mphnissan should also be responsible for the cost for getting this defective product fixed i call them several times at consumer affairs and they will not assist me at all because i am 5000 miles over the warranty the public needs to know how terrible of a company this is and how dangerous this could be for others who own these vehicles.

The vehicle would not move when accelerating.this was the first time and since then it has happened on multiple occasions.the check engine light has not been on at all it randomly occurs.it seems that it would be an extremely hazardous situation for a vehicle to hesitate in regards to acceleration.it is anywhere from a 2-10 second delay.i have just learned that this is a common problem among many owners of the nissan rogue and it needs to be addressed immediately before someone is injured or worse dead.i am scheduling an appointment to address the issue but when i am making a left turn into traffic and i'm met with vehicles coming towards me as my vehicle hesitates to accelerate i would definitely consider this a life threatening issue for both me and my family.

2009 nissan rogue stalled while driving at 35mph on a friday afternoon with no signs of incidents beforehand tried to restart a least 10 times car would start run for a few seconds and stall. Had car towed to nissan dealer, where it was checked monday morning nissan service could find nothing wrong and there were no codes stored so was returned to me with no work done except road test.. I feel this is a very dangerous problem, and am fairly sure will happen again. Cars do not just stall with out there being some type of problem... Dangerous situation...

Driving down the highway, my 2009 nissan rogue began overheating.had the vehicle towed to mymechanic where he found coolant in the spark plugs so replaced all plugs and checked the radiator.when i went to pick up the vehicle, it wouldn't start.he checked it over again and said that it had a blown head gasket.unfortunately, the power train warranty was only good for 5 yrs/60,000 miles.i was 6,000 miles over the limit.when nissan was contacted to see if there was a recall for this problem, i was told there was no recall for the power train.when i asked them if they had noticed a high incidence of power train problems being reported, i was told "well, yes and no."huh?

The contact owned a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving under 40mph, there were unusual rumbling and vibrating sounds coming from the engine area. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer three times.the failure persisted and the vehicle was traded in. The failure mileage was 1,910.updated 8/24/10 nissan advised there were no problems with the vehicle from august 2009 to november 2009. Then in december 2009 a recall notice from nissan was issued for the very same problem she was complaining about. The consumer had already traded the vehicle. Updated 08/26/10the consumer stated she received a second recall notice that stated nissan was conducting a voluntary service campaign on certain rogue vehicles to reduce a rattling noise that may be coming from the transmission at low speeds.updated evoq 10/22/10

Taking a road trip when a rock or other object punctured my condenser.dealer says it is not covered under warranty and car is less than a year old.it comes with a hefty price tag of $750.how often can i expect to pay to have my condenser fixed from flying objects?car is a 2009 nissan rogue.

Door lock froze to due the cold weather. Nissan rogue was in a garage when the incident occurred. This same problem has happened the last 3 years and nissan has always fixed the problem until now. Dealership is saying that the cost of repair will be $800. I will never buy a nissan again and they have the worst customer service of any major car company i have ever dealt with.

The headlights do not seem to be aimed correctly.i was told by the service department it was not a problem.when driving on a poorly lit highway late night or early morning, the headlights do no project far enough out to see the road anddrive safely.

I was driving on a straight path on a city road about 35-40 mph hour around 7:30est on a clear day. I had stopped at the red light and noticed smoke coming from under the hood so i pulled over and lifted the hood. The smoke was coming from the drivers side and when i looked in that direction i saw that my head lamp had fire coming from it. I placed water on it to put out the fire and there was a loud pop that immediately followed that sounded like a gun went off. I waited for my eardrums to calm down and waited to make sure no additional fire or smoke was coming from the car before approaching it.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a stop light, the vehicle failed to move and the vdc light illuminated. The contact mentioned that ten seconds later the vehicle began to slowly accelerate but only up to 15 mph. The problem recurred 7 times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the stop light switch and brake lamp switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 28,664.

Gas gauge does not read correctly.when attempting the fill the tank it trips the nozzle at the pump not allowing the attendant to fill the tank.

Fuel gauge is saying full tank but have driven for a while and it still is saying it is full.

While exiting the interstate the car jarred to a stop. When we tried to accelerate at the green light the engine revved but would not move. When we pressed the accelerator all the way the transmission caught and the car struggled to go 5 miles an hour- jarring all the way. We barely made it to a parking lot before it died completely.

While driving home from wa to ca i noticed while driving up the great vine my 2009 nissan rogue started to decelerate from 70 mph to 45-55 mph, i had my foot pressed pedal to the metal with no acceleration. The vehicle just made it but while at another slight hill my vehicle did the same thing however this time it reduced to speed that posed a safety concern while on a highway. The speed dropped from 70 to about 30 in a matter of seconds. My infant son and wife were in the vehicle as it started to shut down i managed to get out of the highway but not before we had big rigs and other vehicles slow down or change lanes to avoid a collision. My vehicle would no longer move nor would for i had zero acceleration capabilities. Please recall this vehicle for it poses a safety concern that may cause a serious injury, lawsuit and even death to an operator, passenger and or others.

Took my 2009 rogue in november due to fuel gage not showing accurate fuel intake. It was released the same day with they didn't find a problem. Took it back in december because the car died out due to no gas but fuel gage showed almost half tank (my 2 year old son was me and when i called nissan they said to tow it but i had to pay for the towing). Nissan ordered the partit came in and installed december 24 2011 but when i tried to fill tank up it only registered at half tank.took the car back in they dropped the tank, emptied the tank check the wirings and said it was fine this was in jan 4 2012 picked car up on jan 11 2012 at full tank.currently as of today, jan 17 2012 car is at 250 miles but fuel gage is only showing half tank when is should be at least 3rd bar to the end.called nissan found out that it is not covered under my extended warranty but because mileage was overlooked they will try to fix it again. By the way i live in guam. Will update after i take it in again.

My gas gauge is not reading properly so any time my tank is below half full it displays random inaccurate levels. There are recalls on many other models for this exact problem and the rogue should be included in the recall.

Cvt enters limp mode after 30 minutes of driving 65+ miles per hour. I lose a lot of power when that happens causing my vehicle to be unable to accelerate or go over 3k rpms.

When stopped car starts a smell like gas

Fuel gauge reading is erratic and unreliable when driving at steady speed. It jumps erratically by as much as half a tankful, back and forth.

The fuel gauge does not register properly.it will not show a full tank or no gas.it only show 80 to 90 percent full and does not go below 1/4 tank, even with no gas.

My air bag warning light blinking all the time, when i took to the dealer they advice me to replace air bag and sensors it cost more than $2000.00.a fuel gauge light on dash board is dropped when it's full tank.

My 2009 nissan rogue is having problems with being unable to accelerate when going up an incline with speeds of 55mph and above. This has been an ongoing problem for almost a year. I'll be doing 60-75mph and then i notice that my foot is on the floor board and i'm losing speed. The first time this happened (july 11, 2013) i lost all speed and had to pull off the interstate. It was incredibly dangerous. On top of it i wasn't able to get my car to start for 20 minutes. I took it to a mechanic after it happened who said everything was fine, and he couldn't find anything. The loss of speed has happened on at least 5 occasions since last summer.

Now i am stuck with a new problem with this vehicle that i am still paying for and spending more money on gas because i don't know what can happen. Please we must do something with this company nissan. I placed a complaint today 9/23/13 and was told they would call me back since they don't have any information with this type of recall. (liars) they are lots of complaints about the fuel sending unit on nissan. It is now 2015 and i did fix the fuel sending unit and i am still having problems.my mechanic seem to think that it is electrical because i am still not able to pump gas in my vehicle.i see that the nissan quest have been recalled for the same issue.please recall the 09 rogue since the complaints are similar.

While driving in heavy traffic this car slowed down and would not accelerate when the accelerator was depressed. According to the dealer from which i purchased the car there is an apparent problem with the cvt transmission when it over heats, it shuts down and will not allow acceleration. This is also stated in the owners manual, but is not apparently viewed as a safety issue. ( don't agree), but it seems several people have to beinjured or die in order for nissan to recall these transmission's, this has happened several times. The latest being last friday 05/21/2005 when i was stopped for red light and could not get the vehicle to accelerate.

I spend more the 2000 dollars and the problem continues my car don't have power went i stop and run 😫 😩 i took to nissan downtown los angeles they told me fuel pump i change and the problem continued i change the transmission oil and continues i clean the trowbody and continues i change engine oil and continues i don't know what do i have to do

Intermittent acceleration & deceleration while vehicle was in motion, putting in drive or reverse has extreme loss of acceleration with engine rpm going well above the needed rpm (3000-4000) to move the vehicle forward.

Defective door handle/locking assembly. Both front doors handle assembly froze up preventing me from opening both doors. It cost me $480 for the repairs to both doors. In the mean time my wife had climb from the back seat to ppt he door from the inside. Even though the car was out warranty and nissan did pay for the cost of the parts, i feel this should have been covered as a safety recall. Nissan says there no way to prevent it from happening again. I am very disappointed in nissan and most likely will not purchase another vehicle from them in the future.

The driver's, passenger's and rear driver's door locks do not lock/unlock properly. It began with the driver's side door failing to operate properly once every 3-4 weeks.i hadthe door handle recall work completed in march 2011 so i thought the remote's battery was weak and replaced it in december 2011.then the malfunction started to occur more frequently.after a few months, the driver's door lock would not unlock for entry to the car or lock once i was inside.to gain entry to the car, i would have to open the driver's rear door and reach forward to unlock the driver's side door.i had the driver's side door lock replaced in march 2012.now the passenger door is inoperative as well as the rear driver's side door.i must get in the car and reach to lock/unlock the doors from the inside.if ever quick entry or exit from the car is needed, someone is going to be harmed.a child in a car seat, a person with limited mobility or the ability to make a quick decision is trapped unless i am able to quickly reach to lock/unlock the doors. I have filed a complaint with nissan who tells me the car is out of warranty and that they will give me a $500 dealer assistance towards a $1700 bill for a defective system.i found on the internet other 2009 rogue owners with the same complaint.the murano and the juke have also been recalled for this problem.

The front driver's and passenger's door would not open from the outside. I have called nissan to find out if there is a recall for my vehicle since i have seen all the other problems online that other people were having the same problem and they said no there was not and to take it into a dealership to have it looked at.

2009 nissan rogue.consumer writes in regards to vehicle door handles latch assembly freezing problems.the consumer stated the driver's door would not open from the outside.the cable on the actuator had become detached.the dealer attempted to repair it, by re-attaching the cable. In november 2011, during freezing temperatures, the door failed again.the cable had detached again. So the mechanic re-attached it with a wire tie. On december 19, 2013, the door failed again, when the consumer walked around to the passenger side door, he discovered it had failed as well. The consumer discovered a technical service bulletin had been issued for the problem.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle did not respond when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact drove the vehicle home. The contact stated that the transmission was replaced by an independent mechanic in may of 2017. The dealer was not contacted for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and suggested taking the vehicle to one of their facilities for diagnostic testing. The approximate failure mileage was 159,000.

Vehicle going up hill will loose power, cvt transmission does this randomly when going up any hill.i am going to die trying to get out of the way of oncoming cars behind me.i am afraid to go anywhere that has an uphill grade on any road.

Stop for groceries and when i get back in the car i felt the ride kind a funny, i press the accelerator with no response, car didnt go more than 30 miles an hour, took me 1 hour to get back because i couldt get in the highway had to drive in local streets

The cvt transmission failed in june 2016 with 122k miles, just 7 years old. I was on the highway with 4 others in the suv when the vehicle jerked made a howling noise and failed to accelerate. Lucky i was able to coast onto the shoulder without getting into an accident. I went to the dealer for a diagnostic check and they informed me that the transmission needs to be replaced and the cost will be $3600. I have reached out to my local dealership, nissan north american, and bbb because they know that the cvt transmissions are faulty and may not break until the vehicle is out of the warranty period. Nissan does not want to cover the cost nor acknowledge that there is a problem with their cvt transmissions. There are many customers on various websites reporting transmission failures and all complaints are similar- failed transmissions and nissan refusing to fix the problem without being paid $3000+.it's shocking that a recall hasn't been done for these transmissions. I've already read dozens of horror stories online over this. I'm shocked that there hasn't been a fatality. It's just a matter of time before all these customers get together and file a class-action lawsuit against nissan.

Driving car to work on a busy road, when it revved and then lost power.was able to drift to the shoulder.

The cvt was replace at 95000 miles due to total failure. At 12000 miles while driving on a road with lots of hills the car lost power and suddenly slowed down to 30 mph. It seemed to reset after shutting down and letting the car rest for several minutes. I talked to my mechanic and they suggested cleaning the fuel injectors and a new air filter. I did that and it still happened. I brought it to nissan, they checked it for 3 days and found nothing. They said to wait for a code to come up and they could get to the bottom of it. At 140,000 miles the code came up as an intermittent torque converter circuit problem. Nissan then said that they couldn't recreatethe code so the didn't know what to fix. After reading several posts about the same problem and the same reaction from nissan, i think that a class action lawsuit is in order. I don't think that someone needs to die due to nissans faulty vehicles, for action to be taken.

Cvt lost power on highway without notice and would not accelerate

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue.while driving 8 mph, the steering wheel, gear shifter, and brakes all lock up at the same time.the contact stated that if felt as if the vehicle had shut off.he had to apply the emergency brake in order to stop the vehicle.when he turned off and restarted the vehicle, it operated normally.the dealer inspected the vehicle, but could not determine why the brakes, steering, and gear shifter locked up.the contact refuses to drive the vehicle until the manufacturer has located the failure and declares it safe to drive.the current mileage was 4,500 and failure mileage was 1,500.

A few months prior to my transmission fully breaking down, i was experiencing episodes where my rogue would lose acceleration even as the accelerator pedal was pressed as far down as it could.mainly these episodes would occur after stopping at a stop sign or traffic light.i would begin to press the accelerator; however, the vehicle would not accelerator nor would the rpm's increase.suddenly, the "engine" would kick in and i was quickly and forcefully propelled forward.there were a few episodes that occurred while driving on the interstate and these episodes were more frightening and they placed me in a very unsafe situation of being rear-ended at high speeds.then on september 30, 2012, my family was leaving a vacation trip and heading home on our 3+ hour drive.not 2 minutes on the road did we experience very loud grinding, clunking and odd behavior from our vehicle as it attempted to shift gears.this noise/feeling seemed to minimize as we drove over 40 mph until it suddenly lost all power.we had to attempt to pull over to the side of the road with our hazards on, and thank goodness no one was driving behind us or i am afraid we would have been in a serious accident on a northern wisconsin highway. Since this occurred on a sunday at 7:00 am, we did not have any possibility to take it to a nissan dealer or to rent a vehicle to get home.we were forced to contact a family member who graciously had a trailer and drove the 3+ hours to get us and then turn around and tow us the 3+ hours home.after inspection on the vehicle at the local nissan dealership, we were informed of the issues and extended warranty with the cvt transmission. I am still fearful of what could have happened to my family. It appears that many people experiencing this issue have had their transmission replaced 2-3 times.i fully support a cvt recall!!!!

Transmission failed in august 2013 with 86k and was repaired by nissan dealership.this problem existed on 2 occasions with me and i was almost struck by another vehicle since it failed as i was driving on highway. The vehicle jerked made a howling noise and failed to accelerate. I was able to coast onto the shoulder.dealership informed me that originals parts were installed in vehicle. Now transmission failure is occurring once again and quite recently after getting off the highwaythe car failed to accelerate after stopping for a light.this has occurred many times within the month of may and as a long distance driver to and from work everyday, i am petrified of what can happen if it stop suddenly. I went to the dealer for a diagnostic check and once again they informed me that the transmission needs to be replaced and the cost will be $4100.nissan does not want to bear some of the cost nor acknowledge that there is a problem with their cars/rollovers that has the cvt (continuous variable transmissions) many customers on various websites are reporting transmission failures in nissan as well as on the bbb site. . all complaints reported from customers are similar- failed transmissions.the problem is that the transmission belt breaks with caused a sudden stop.i have reached out to nissan north american, bbb, and the district attorney office in my state because nissan knows that the cvt at times may not break until the vehicle is out of the warranty period. Although, they has been no recalls the evidence to date suggests that cvt transmission has become a nightmare for me as well as for other car owners. Since my transmission failed in 2013, it is my belief that the whole transmission didn't not come out but was overhauled due to the cost of replacement.i can't afford to replace the transmission at the moment and i am afraid of my safety.

I have a nissan rogue s 2009, i have a banging noise from underneath the floor boards. I was made check by a mechanic and he said is the drive shaft and u joint is completely covered is rust with the drive shaft and can broke in any moment and the i have to repair not only that other parts too like the transmission, directional and so on. I went to the nissan dealer part service and the person who work there he said that part is very expensive and for the low of mileage shouldn't happened. Is very expensive to replace is a fault of nissan on a bad parts that they install on my truck. They need to make a recall and fix this big problem in the same way they charge for the truck and we paid, they need to replace at not cost is there responsibility for use bad parts and this is urgent i don't wants my mother, my nephew (3 y) and my nice (2 y) get into an accident and myself please help me this is urgent to bring my car for repair.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While attempting to stop the vehicle, it stalled without warning. The dealer stated that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified, but did not offer any assistance since the transmission was replaced once before free of charge. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 90,000.updated 09/22/14*lj updated 02/23/2015

3rd failure - same problem with 2009 nissan rogue 4cyl w/cvt.car loses power - when stepping on gas, car only creeps forward, accelerating very slowly as if it's not getting gas or as if you are starting off in a high gear.attempts to manually downshift have no effect; shifting into neutral allows engine to rev freely.last two incidents occurred with wife and 2 young children in car on busy road - very high safety risk as the problem occurred without warning, leaving the vehicle suddenly nearly powerless in traffic.first trip to dealer (problem was less severe/frequent first time) prompted service department to "fix" under an open transmission-related service campaign, the description of which did not fit the problem, but the car worked properly upon receipt.problem returned a month later with greater severity - car had to be towed to dealership.car was in shop for a week as necessary part was on backorder - "this is a problem we've been seeing lately," we were told.upon return car never felt fully like it did when new - would often hesitate slightly when going up a grade before pickup returned.dealer "unable to reproduce" this very frequent problem when brought in for review, so we just lived with it.third incident occurred last week with high severity, again, putting wife/children at risk immediately after pulling onto a busy main road.check engine light came on in conjunction with the incident.car is now at dealer for further evaluation.car is on lease; requests thus far to be released from remainder of term based on recurring safety concerns have been denied.car has 12k miles on it at 2 years in our possession, has been fully maintained according to owner's manual and is in excellent overall shape.i am uncomfortable putting my family in this vehicle again given the recurring failure and type of failure.http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/webx/.f1697de?displayrecent for reports of similar problems and poor resolution from mfr.

I was driving on i-25, my car set on cruise control at 75 mph when suddenly the speed dropped to 45 mph in a matter of seconds - without warning. I pushed the gas pedal down to the floor but it didn't do anything.there was also a whining sound like the car was working extra hard. I immediately pulled off the highway; fortunately, there were no cars behind me. I was confused and didn't know what happened so i sat there a few minutes thinking the car overheated. I thought i would give it a chance to cool down. After about 10 minutes, i put my emergency lights on and got back on the road. I kept the emergency lights on and drove slower to see if it would happen again. It seemed to be okay as long as we didn't have to go up hill and i kept my speed down, i tested it along the way. Upon taking it in to nissan for inspection, they thought the problem was due to too much transmission fluid, put in at the factory, so they removed some. After a couple months i got back on the highway and it happened again. This time nissan replaced the transmission. I don't feel safer, as i understand this cvt problem occurs in mountainous areas, such as colo. I have also read blogs from people with 08 & 09 rogues that had the transmission replaced and it went out again, not always right away. Driving at high speeds then quickly losing speed with no indication (brake lights) to the drivers behind is without question a potentially deadly situation. I still fear it will happen again. I won't drive my rogue in mountainous areas and stay away from highways as much as possible. I purchased this rogue with the expectations it would take me where i need to go safely. I have asked nissan to switch vehicles with me - asking for a model that doesn't have safety issues. They refused.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rouge. The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle would not respond.the vehicle was not taken to the dealer for inspection or repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rouge. After drivingconsistently over 100 miles and at highway speeds, the vehicle failed to accelerate. After restarting the vehicle, it would resume normal operation for approximately one hour and then fail again. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 60,000.

Intermittent acceleration & deceleration while vehicle was in motion, putting in drive or reverse has extreme loss of acceleration with engine rpm going well above the needed rpm (3000-4000) to move the vehicle forward.

Driving on the highway my transmission seems to have trouble shifting gears when traveling over 50 mph, i was driving and had my gas pedal to the floor and my car seemed to have no power. I exited the highway for safety purposes and once i came to a stop off the interstate i tried to make a left turn towards a gas station and my car stalled in the middle of the road. I let off the gas and tried to accelerate, finally successful after a few tries. This has happened several times and while i have had children in the car making it very unsafe. I have been doing research and found that there are problems with the cvt transmission. The warranty was extended to 120k miles by nissan and since i never received a letter informing me of this i just recently passed 120k miles. In the beginning of this problem everyone diagnosed it as fuel pump/injection issues and now it's too late to have it fixed. This needs to be recalled immediately with as many people like myself having this same issue. Since may of 2014 i have had numerous problems and now that i have gotten the proper diagnosis i feel like nissan is putting people like myself and others that were not properly notified in time of this extended warranty on serious danger. I have been lucky that no one has hit me when i take off from a stop sign and my transmission won't shift into gear leaving me stalled. This is not ok and they shouldn't be able to get away with putting a limit on when to fix or replace damaged parts!

The cvt transmission oil overheats at long driving periods and the transmission / car goes into limp mode and the speed drops immediately and significantly and will not be driveable until the oil cools down. Very dangerous because this only happens on the highways at high speeds. Also, after the vehicle enters this "limp mode", if you exit the highway and stop at a traffic light or stop sign, the vehicle will then not accelerate past 5 mph for a period of 30-45 seconds.nissan knows that this happens and extended the warranty on the transmission. But they will do no work on the warranty because the issue cannot be duplicated by the dealer when the car is brought in, which will always be the case because the issue happens on the highway after being driven for a while.this sudden deceleration almost got me killed by a semi that was behind me when my car went into this limp mode without warning.

Transmission froze, no forward gear, no reverse gear. Luckily it happened when pulling into the coalfield rest stop northbound on i-55. As i slowed to pull off on the exit ramp, the rogue jerked twice and came to sudden stop. With the transmission locking up it may have caused a serious accident if i were to be on the interstate (i-55 northbound) at approximately 6:30pm on may 14, 2015. Traffic at the time was average but steady in flow.

Cpsc:i1390199a. 2009 nissan rouge. Consumer stated she is having transmission problems. *lnthe consumer stated the transmission would disengage on uphill slopes causing the vehicle to lose speed as it did not accelerate. On a terrain level, the vehicle would barely maintain speed, to which it slowed down. The dealer was unable to replicate the problem.

I purchased the vehicle from a reputable used car dealer used. The vehicle seemed ok very nice interior exterior appearance. On the test drive the vehicle would not shift into second or third , the dealer agreed to payfor a transmission flush. The next day when i got i n the car to drive to the nissan dealer to have the transmission service done, i noticedthe vehicle being erratic, it felt like a tire out of round or a suspension issue. When i got to the dealer i noticed the brand new tires the dealer had installed were worn on the outside. So i had them check it out , the vehicle was out of alignment. Then i noticed the oil that had been put in the vehicle was wrong 10w20 instead of 10w30. While at the nissan dealer they performed the recall on the harness in the door. They also noticed the tires low and performed and alignment. After the transmission flush and fill, they also did the ecm updates. I noticed the vehicle was still doing the same thing it would not shift into 2nd sometimes or third. The next day. The tpms light came on again. Nissan needs to be held responsible for the lack of quality and repair these major problems that have been reported by numerous complaints. I am stuck with a lemon of a car, because my finance company would not allow me to buy what i wanted, i have to pay for this vehicle for 6 years, and i am afraid i got stuck. Buyers need to be made aware of this low quality vehicle and the manufacturers lack of regard for complaints. 70000 miles is nothing for a vehicle today, but at the high cost of repair and replacement this is unacceptable.

1. Failure to accelerate and shaking/stalling like behavior. While entering intersection, car failed to accelerate and continued to fail to accelerate as i drove the car the two miles to work. I thought maybe i didn't step on the acc. All the way the first time i was almost hit by a car, but realized it continued to crawl along until i got to speeds over 20mph. I was almost hit several times (a minimum of three to include t boned and rear end type collisions during the two mile drive). Got car towed to dealership and dealership notified me that it was not the transmission but it was a faulty sensor switch that told the car i was braking although i was accelerating. Dealership refused to return car to me until i had sensor replaced due to safety hazard. Dealership told me they have seen several of these issues. Additionally, several of these issues exist nationwide as noted by numerous online complaints. 121000miles. Discussed if it was the transmission, nissan was going to see if they would help with costs since it was right outside of the extended warranty to 120k miles for known transmission issue (which i had no knowledge of). Nissan deemed it was not the transmission, however, could not say what caused the shaking.2. Car still stuttered, but the drag was gone after replacing sensor for two months. Drag is back and car still shutters. Was told by a different place that my transmission is shot. 124700 miles. It shutters like it is going to stall in traffic when slowing down, in stop and go traffic, and a lower speeds.

I bought the car used, to get to work and the many doctor's appointment that i currently have (i am breast cancer survivor with a lot of side effects).when it first happened i was driving locally when i pushed on the gas pedal and the car didn't accelerate. It happened just for a moment and the car drove fine the rest of the way home so i hoped it was one time thing. A day or two later it happened again, telling me that the first occurrence wasn't random. That's when i researched the symptoms and saw i wasn't alone. That's when i also learned that nissan extended the warranty.i found out i was over the mileage,i would have to pay i balked because i knew of the many people that have/had this problem and i don't feel i should be responsible for a mechanically defective transmission.in the meantime i'm gently driving the vehicle: short trips, no highways and 40 mph or less. If what i read is true and the loss of acceleration (which happened a third time within july) is the car going into safe mode then i'll do what i can to avoid aggravating the vehicle until i take it in for the new tranny cooler. I really hope this resolves my problem. After doing research on the cvt i found out that they are known for their issues and the extended warranty went into place. Of course i am over by 30,000 but i saw that if you are over you should still contact nissan. I did and started a claim got a call back from the midwest corporate gay who told me too bad we can not help.i need help

The cvt transmission in the rogue is known for failing. When the fluid temperature gets too hot the vehicle will go into a limp mode limiting all power. My rogue has had 4 transmissions in 85k miles.i have had my replacement transmission for two weeks and it is already having signs of failing.i have nearly been in multiple major wrecks because the transmission will cut out when trying to enter a highway or pull out across traffic. There are multiple reports of accidents from this issue but nissan has not said a word.it has the exact type of failure the nissan pathfinder had, which just had a class action passed against it.

A high-pitched whirring sound manifested itself while driving on the highway, followed by a grinding sound, all coming from under the vehicle towards the rear end. The next day i took it to a local mechanic, who took it on a test drive. He also had another mechanic do the same. Both diagnosed it as a transfer case failure. I then took it to my local nissan dealer. After the tech drove it and inspected the rear end, it was diagnosed as a rear differential that had failed. The car only has 74,300 miles on it and is not used for towing or any other similarly-demanding activities. At the 50,000 mile mark there was a transmission leak that another nissan dealer had to fix under warranty, but only after i contacted nissan usa consumer affairs. There seems to be no end to the issues with this make and model concerning the cvt transmission and related power-train components. It is past time for the government to look into the high rate of failures with these models. There is obviously a reason nissan had to make a special extension on the power train, doubling the length and mileage limit. Unfortunately, the dealership tells me that the rear differential is not part of the power train and i must pay $2, 121 out of pocket for the necessary repairs.

Rear differential went out. Grinding the teeth and cracking its casing into two pieces

Vehicle loses power while driving at highway speeds.very dangerous situation causing vehicles to swerve around us, and nearly causing a collision.

When driving on the highway, the car suddenly loses all acceleration. Even with the accelerator completely depressed, the car just stops. Rpms won't go above 2500, and my husband and i have had to make several emergency stops on the side of the highway, sometimes in heavy traffic, and requiring us to cut across multiple lanes.

Vehicle's cvt transmission regularly enters "safety mode," triggering a sudden loss in power at high speed (75mph+). Nissan aware that the issue exists and is widespread, but waits for complaining customers to come to dealership to install a transmission oil cooler.

Heard knocking during acceleration gas pedal around 20-40 miles/hour. Possible cvt transmission.

Nissan rogue 2009 transmission failure at 16,000 miles.transmission began to make strange noises under load from the front end.dealer replaced transmission and claimed there is no current recall.a check on the internet indicates the problem is pervasive across 2008 and 2009 models.

Looses power and slows in freeway traffic. If i had known i could send my complaint to you, i would have done so a couple of years ago when i reported the problem to nissan usa .what a joke this auto is!and what a joke nissan is!

Passenger air bag sensor has failed. Air bag light blinks. Sensor is in seat.cvt transmissions fail without warning. Research indicates this occurs at highway speeds and causes a hazard in traveled lanes.

During the cold weather, and it happens in every winter that the transmission was not shifting in the morning, it stayed at high rpm when gas panel was applied.it was very dangerous since my commute started with a highway.

In june of this year my family and i was on our way to myrtle beach for a family vacation in my 2009 nissan rouge . While on the highway my car started making a loud whinny noise and then completely lost power. With the gas peddle to the floor it would only go 40mph. We pulled over and it would not go at all. It was like it was stuck in neutral. We sat for a while and it drove like nothing was wrong. We decided not to take it on vacation but leave it to have someone look at it. They found nothing wrong. It hashappend on two more separate occasions now both times on the highway after driving for about 45mins. I made appointment and sent it to a certified nissan dealership to be looked at. They are unable to help because they could not duplicate the problem. Although i was told by them that they have see it many times before and what is happening is the transmission is getting hot the fluid is bubbling and sending signals to the vehicle to shut down.nissian will not authorize the dealership to be able to fix the problem without being able to duplicate. The problem is they can not duplicate the problem because it takes a while of driving for it to occur. I called consumer afairs and they un willing help stating the same thing the dealership told me.

The nissan rogue had a cvt transmission replaced by the dealer after it stopped running on the highway in 2013 with only 70,000 miles on the vehicle. The transmission failed again, 2 years later, while driving on the highway again. Nissan failed to do anything to assist me the second time with this vehicle. The vehicle was in motion on the freeway both times. There have been many issues with the cvt transmission.

Loss of power and juddering (shaking) of vehicle occurred several times while accelerating, driving up hills, driving for extended periods of time (over 1 hour), or when the air temperature was over 80 degrees fahrenheit, all while accelerator was depressed. When i tried to floor the accelerator, the rpm's increased but the cvt did not engage. Had to remove foot from accelerator then reapply, eventually after the car slowed even further, the cvt re-engaged. Worst issue happened while on the i90 interstate, attempting to accelerate and car lost power and juddered almost causing a collision with vehicle behind me.took vehicle into dealership twice for this issue, first time the dealership could not replicate issue. Took the vehicle back into the dealership within 30 days from original issue and dealership confirmed issue and said new transmission was needed. However, not covered under nissan extended warranty because there were not hard fault codes. Called nissan consumer affairs on in july 2018 who said my vin is not part of any updates/recalls for this issue and would not cover repair or replacement of transmission.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact mentioned that the fuel pedal was depressed but the vehicle would not accelerate. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 160,000.

Nisan rouge 2009 lost power after 2 hours driving on highway rpm stock on 2500

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 70 mph, the transmission failed without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Greenway nissan of jacksonville, 1726 cassat ave, jacksonville, fl 32210, (904) 779-3502, was contacted by phone and informed of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted nor informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 139,000.

I had driven my 2009 nissan rogue from new jersey to boston, fairly heavy traffic.as i neared my destination, i stopped at a red light.as i pulled away to take a left turn, the car would not accelerate and limped across route 1, forcing heavy, high speed, oncoming traffic to stop.i spoke with the local dealer and they acknowledged that it is a problem and that nissan is not offering a solution. When i took the car to the nj dealer to leave it for a couple days for them to trouble shoot they were not able to replicate the issue.and had me pay to change the fluid.the problem has gotten worse and the dealer refuses to do anything about it.the car is not predictable and safe to drive with my 2 young daughters.fwiw, the dealer that i bought the car from replaced the transmission a few years ago under warranty for this exact problem.any local dealer denies this issue exists despite the tremendous amount of evidence to the contrary on the internet.http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f213d8f.

After driving at high speeds for a while i loose acceleration. And when i come to a stop the car will not go for like 5 seconds after i stepon the gas.

I was driving on 95n and getting off an exit ramp when i heard a loud noise that sounded like something fell out of my car. The loud noise then turned into a dragging noise as if something did fall out of my car. I immediately began to slow down. After stopping on the highway i realized my gear shifter was loose and i wasn't able to drive the car any longer. The police and tow truck eventually came and my car was towed to my mechanic. The car wasn't ready until this past saturday 2/21/15. My mechanic issued me an invoice that said "drive shaft broke from transmission yoke ripping the shift cable from the shifter and broke the shifter".

Transmission overheats and fails.was replaced at 90k miles and happend again at 130k miles.it is a safety hazard.it goes into "safe mode" and then quits while driving

Repair and replace entire transmission and computer system

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact performed regular maintenance on the vehicle and noticed that the front drive side axle leaked grease and the cb boot was cracked on both sides. In addition, the inner ball joint had premature wear and the transmission operated in high gear when driving. The wheels were difficult to turn as well. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the front driver side axle was replaced. The manufactuer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 76,200.

Cvt enters limp mode after 30 minutes of driving 65+ miles per hour. I lose a lot of power when that happens causing my vehicle to be unable to accelerate or go over 3k rpms.

Looses power upon driving no excelleration and it wont go it's like the throttle petal isn't even there when you start out it drives great but within 20/30 miles it's like the car takes over and it just won't go' we do regular service and we have done transmission services cvt fluid and filterthis needs to be addressed nissan should be held accountable

When driving the car would start shaking and making funny noises in the back. The car eventually would not accelerate and started smoking. Took it the dealer was informedit hada broken axle and also has coupler issue. I had the axle replaced. But it still shakes and makes noises when turns are made. I was informed by a nissan mechanic this is a common problem in the rogue.

Car will not accelerate or respond to gas pedal especially when driving for extended periods of time or uphill. When the gas pedal is depressed the vehicle will judder and loose speed. Took the vehicle to the dealership in 2016 for cvt oil cooler recall at 93,063 miles. Brought vehicle to dealership with loss of acceleration at 119,931; however, no hard codes to diagnosis issue, sent on my way, with a diagnosis of bad wheel bearing. Returned less than a month later with unresolved issue (loss of acceleration) at 121,075 miles. Dealership diagnosed that the car needs a new transmission and will not be covered under the extended warranty, 1,075 miles over warranty.

Was driving on hwy & started losing power up hills.called dealership service dept & they said transmission issue. Had the transmission replaced about 3 years ago & the valve body & cooling system malfunctioned this time. There isn't a big enough cooling system for the transm & nissan is aware of the issue.were 3 other rogue's getting repaired for transmission issues at the same time.issue often arrives soon after warranty expires. Dealership svc dept indicated that it happens often and needs to be recalled.

Vehicle would start and i was able to change gears but these will not activate. Even when accelerating the vehicle it will not move. Vehicle had to be towed. This is the second incidence; the first time we experience this situation was at the time we took the vehicle out of the dealer. After stopping for gas and starting the vehicle again it only moved for about 5 mins, thenstopped completely. Vehicle was returned to the dealer and a different vehicle provided (same make and model); now three years after the first incident we have the same situation (same situation, two different vehicles, three years timeframe). We have been told that correcting the situation will cost between $2500-3000.

At several times in the past coming from out of a stop, the vehicle would not accelerate. The first time it happened i was able to push the pedal hard to get acceleration and managed to regain acceleration. On 7/9/12, while driving on the freeway at steady speeds, i began to slow down to slowing traffic, when traffic picked up i was not able to get acceleration out of the vehicle. I punched the pedal to the floorboard and got no acceleration whatsoever. The rpms would not increase the overdrive would not respond and was just coasting at 40 mph. This was such a risk as i had fast coming traffic and had to pull to the slow lane to not be a hazard in the middle of the freeway. The vehicle never regained acceleration and had to keep pedal pushed to continue moving. I proceeded to take the vehicle to the dealer, but the insisted that since they received no computer error codes or could not duplicate the problem, they could not do anything for me. I searched online and noticed it has been happening to lots of people and could be several possible issues. It seems most of the causes are a result of long distance driving which i do 4 times a week and somehow resets upon turning off and turning back on vehicle or vehicle cooling down. The dealer "could not" spare the time for someone to drive it for that long so they left it at that.. I feel this is a big safety hazard and hope that this issue can be dealt with the manufacturer as a recall.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving at any speed, there was a strong vibration. The independent mechanic was notified, but could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer had a service campaign, but the contact was not notified. The contact was informed that the statute had expired due to the mileage on the vehicle. The manufacturer provided no repair solution other than stating to take the vehicle to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was not available.

I was driving my 2009 nissan rogue when i heard a banging noise from underneath the floor boards so i turned around and headed back home when the truck came to a stop and would not come out of park so i went underneath the truck and it had broke a u joint and the u joint was completely covered in rust with the drive shaft still turning it had snapped the shifter cable. I have spoke with numerous people that have worked on cars before and they said this shouldn't have happened at this low of mileage. I also spoke with the parts manager from the dealership and he has worked on nissans for 20 years and he said he has never seen something like this happen. I have been trying to work with nissan and they are trying to shove the deal that they have for me down my throat and i am not willing to take it since this is a fault of nissan on a bad part that they installed on my truck. There is also another recall on my truck that i was never informed of and i have had my truck serviced at nissan dealerships since i bought the truck in 2011.

I purchased vehicle new from dealer. At approx 83,000 miles i began to experience acceleration problems. I was not able to accelerate from a stop w/ pedal fully depressed. Extremely dangerous as i was almost in a car accident because car would not move. Took it to dealer and i was informed there was a recall on the transmission. Dealer replaced transmission. Now at 115,000 miles i experienced the same type of problem, except now the car shakes when i try to accelerate. I am unable to reverse or accelerate. I called the dealer and they informed me that the warranty on the transmission expires at 90,000 even though it was a replacement transmission. Nissan needs to take responsibility and fix this!!

2009 nissan rogue.consumer writes in regards to a failure to remedy cvt transmission overheating design defect.the consumer stated when the transmission overheated, the vehicle unexpectedly slow down and it would no longer accelerate. The consumer stated none of nissan's remedies worked, despite having the transmission fluid flushed and replaced, and thereafter, having the transmission replaced. The consumer was then informed a new coolant tank would fix the issue.

I have a 2009 nissan rogue with 106742 miles,i took the vehicle to the nissan dealership for transmission problems.the dealer is telling me that the guarranty covers only if the transmission needs to be replaced, when i read the guarranty covers repairs, replacement and even towing.they want me to pay for the parts in the repair of the transmission.the vehicle is still under warranty.

I bought this car from a toyota dealership and a used car with 82k miles on it. Around christmas i was on my way from modesto, ca on the i-80 back to reno, nv. I had the cruise control set to 70 and while going uphill the cruise control shut off and i began loosing speed really fast. I put my foot on the accelerator but there was nothing. I had the pedal floored and yet i kept loosing speed. At first it happened only on hills, now it's happening on flat land. I've also noticed that going from a stop to go point my car almost stalls as if it were a manual, it's automatic. I've almost gotten into an accident a few times because of this issue. The toyota dealership i bought it from says they, "can't replicate the problem," so i'm driving around this car hoping for the best until it gets worse and actually causes and accident or until the check engine light comes on. I did research and the symptoms from other rouge owners similar to my symptoms, all ended up in new transmissions...

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving uphill at approximately 70 mph, the transmission failed to operate. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic for diagnosis where no trouble codes were detected. The transmission fluid was replaced but the failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for a second opinion, who was also unable to locate a problem. The contact stated that the failure occurred when driving in warm weather for two hours or more. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000. The vin was unavailable.

Car decelerates on its own.while driving on highway and on small roads, the car will slow and even when accelerator is pushed the rpms will not increase over 3000 and the engine does not rev and the vehicle loses acceleration.this is a very hazardous situation.the vehicle does not accelerate in order to pull over to get out of the way of traffic.all fluids are maintained.the vehicle is properly serviced.

Vehicle loses power, hesitates, and lacks acceleration, all to the point of being unsafe while driving in traffic.i often cannot make it up hills and cannot pass cars on highwaysi've already had the entire transmission and transfer case replaced (in january of 2015), and now require a new transmission control module.the initial transmission failure came at approximately 74,000 miles.i purchased the car with approximately 54.5k miles on it.

Once the vehilce is warmed, the vehicle will not accelerate from a stop.with the accelerater pedal held down in about 15 seconds the rpm will rise and the vehicle will kick into gear and begin to accelerate.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle decelerated to 30 mph without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the transmission was replaced on three separate occasions. In 2015, the vehicle was taken to a different dealer where it was diagnosed that a transmission oil cooler needed to be installed. The failure only occurred in warm weather. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.

My girlfriend was driving on highway 80 east heading up to truckee. While climbing in the mountain the car lost the ability to rev higher than 2500rpm. Her speed tropped from 65 to 35 on a mountain road and was almost rear ended by a semi. No matter how much gas she gave the care would not go faster than 35 mph. She had to pull over off the freeway and after shutting off the car for 15 minutes every ran fine. Now any time we drive for more than 60 minutes we loose power and have to pull off the highway to let the car rest because of loss of power. Almost been in two accidents.

When the car is in motion driving for a period of 30 minutes or longer or going up a hill the acceleration stops and the car will slow down no matter how much you press on the gas paedal. I have not experienced it heating up according to the tempeture but the car does smell like burnt. I have to turn off the car and let it cool to drive again, but the issue will continue if i drive more than 30 minutes or up a hill.

When trying to accelerate the car stalls, after a brief period (30 sec.) of vibrating the car jerks forward.the transmission is faulty and violently shakes after driving for more than 3 miles.we are in constant fear that the car is going to die when idling and have taken it to several nissan service centers and have been told the cvt in this model and year are all like this.it is not safe for a car to drive like this.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle lost acceleration. The contact coasted the vehicle over to the shoulder and came to a complete stop. The vehicle was turned off and towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission failed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the cvt transmission needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,054.

Going down the interstate going 65 mph and we lost all power couldnt go over 30 mphwe had to pull over and wait then we finally got moving again the power loss kept happening now my service engine light is on and they 1100 to fix the problem nissan knows about the problem but won't recall it

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving approximately 65 mph on the highway and attempting to pass another vehicle, the contact's vehicle would not accelerate. Approximately five seconds later, it appeared to function normally; however, the failure recurred. The dealer stated that the contact was required to purchase a new transmission versus repairing the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 190,000.

Driving up a hill on highway route 80 westat 65 mph when all of a sudden speed started to decrease i pressed down fully on gas with no responsetransmission locked up speed continued to decline to 55 mph with traffic flying by me honking horns etc i put hazards on and continued to press gas with no response was able to get up hill and speed and transmission returned to normal. Very hazardous for this to occur with kids in the car as well.

Item one-whining noise when acceleratingitem 2-engine intermittently shuts off when stopping at an intersection

Driving on the freeway the engine reved to high rpms and lost power. There were two babies in the car. We were in the carpool lane and with no power we had to cross 3 lanes of traffic and wait on the side of the freeway with babies for tow truck. Was towed to a friends auto shop where we were told about numerous known issues with the cvt transmission.

No acceleration after driving for about an one hour at 70mph. The car start loosing power and when i press the gas it just scrim with no acceleration. This problem many many rouge 2009 users suffer from, nissan should recall and fix the problem.

Once the car has been driven continually for at least 45 minutes or more the service engine light comes and the car loses pressure and starts making a whining noise. This has happened several times while driving on the highway.

I was driving down the highway at 65-70 mph. Came to a slight long incline on the highway. It slowed to 60 miles per hour with the accelerator all the way pushed down. When i came to a rest stop and took off again-the acceleration was slow to pick up speed. This is not the first time this has happened. I was coming back from seattle to spokane, wa going up the mountain pass. I could not go over 30 miles per hour with the accelerator pushed all the way down. It happened on another hill further down the road. Again when i stopped-their was a delay in acceleration. Since this a company car and have the option to purchase it at 80,000 miles- i will not. Because i was going to buy it and give it to my daughter since she will be taking driver's education this year. I feel that this car is a safety hazard especially for a new driver. I will not be buying a nissan in the future for my daughter. Or any other nissan. I will also let our fleets department know about this problem.

My car would not accelerate after driving on the highway (75 mph) for more than 2 hours no matter how hard i stepped on the gas. It only happened when driving after 2 hours on the highway and did not have an issue again since i usually do not take long trips. This happened twice for my road trip to and from houston and dallas. A few months later, the car jerks when coming to a stop and accelerating from a stop. This was on regular roads about 40 mph.noticed many complaints online with the same issue and was told it's due to the transmission. I believe that this should be investigated as it is a safety hazard and unfair for car owners to pay for repair since many 2008 & 2009 rogue owners reported the same issue.

I was driving from baltimore to philadelphia in june of this year. After about 1 hour of highway driving my 2009 nissan rogue started to stall as i reduced speed to get on the ramp of another highway. I wanted to pick up speed in order to merge onto the next highway, but my car would not respond. I had pushed the accelerating pedal to the metal and it still was not responding or rather going at 40mph. I exited the highway and stopped the engine, to give it a rest, but as i proceeded the car still stalled. I ended up having it towed from my hotel to nissan dealership located 6723 essington avenue philadelphia, pa 19153. I was told the transmission fluid was topped off but they did not see a leak. I drove the car back to baltimore the next day, but the problem has been recurring. I have had many near misses) is nissan waiting to have fatalities in order to react? i do not wish to be a statistic.

Cvt continues to fail. It was replaced at 73k miles after failing; it now is going into fail safe mode due to overheating issues. This seems to be very common rogue problem. I was told that the 100k warranty would be for the replacement cvt but am now being told by dealer that repairs were 12k or 12 months. Cvt is showing signs of poor shifting and power loss on hills. Frequently won't start moving for few seconds at traffic light. Please help with resolving the problem with all of us rogue customers/owners. This has been happening now for months and i am worried for my families safety. Thanks

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving up an incline at various speeds, the stalled while depressing the accelerator. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shuddered without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the rotor was replaced on the passengerā€™s side front however, the failure persisted. The contact was referred by another mechanic to an authorized dealer to schedule an appointment for the vehicle to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

After driving 2009 nissan rogue at highway speeds for twenty or more miles, the vehicle begins making high pitched whine on acceleration, and the smell of burning transmission fluid is present. Upon completing a stop after traveling at highway speed, the vehicle fails to accelerate upon depressing the accelerator. The vehicle fails to move for approximately five seconds, then it proceeds to move very slowly. The vehicle engine does not rev, the rpm gauge remains at idle, even with the accelerator fully depressed, the vehicle will not move. In situations requiring quick bursts of speed, such as entering a multi-lane highway from a side street, this has placed the vehicle in the position of blocking the highway while fast moving vehicles are approaching. The vehicle has been taken to a nissan dealership as well as a transmission specialty repair shop and have been told nothing is wrong with the vehicle.

I reported a vibration issue within the first two weeks of lease inception on my 2009 nissan rogue sl awd.. I filed a complaint with the bbb and nissan stated there is no problem. After a nissan dealer found the problem , nissan told the dealer not to repair the suv. Here is a video. I escalated the bbb complaint to a hearing and nissan stated there was nothing wrong even thou they recived a nissan dealers repair order stateing a problem was found. I had to drive out of state to have it diagnosed has a binding axle shaft.in the sworn in and recorded hearing witnessed my the arbirtratorwe agreed to inspect the rogue togrther but has never contacted me or the dealear after we left numeriousmessages. I have had to retain a lawyer.i can not even begin to tell you how pissed off i am.nissan ands its dealers are telling everyone there is no problem and that it is designed to vibrate. Nissan has 9 current cvt trans in there model line up and the rogue is the only one that vibrates?i can only hope you search on line to seehow many people are complains and nissans prceuder is they test drive the car and that's it. I have asked the dealers, nissan north americaand nissan consumer affairs what inspections were preformed and by whom and they refuse to tell me. * information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

Driver side seat belt failure.. While driving the seat belt unlatches or trying to latch will take several pushes to have the latch engage. Purchased car used from a dealership was not told of this issue. Nissan did replace the seat belt but, cars should be completely safe prior to reselling these cars on any market.

The air bag light comes on . Vehicle was service at balise nissan dealership to try to figure out what the problem was and see if they can fix it . All they did was reset the light and once we drove off dealership parking lot the light came back on like 10 min after .

Nissan rogue does not have seat belt sensors for the backseat. No way of knowing if child has unbuckled !!!

I was advised by the dealer that the seatbelt sensor was not operative on the passenger side of my car. I believe this is a significant issue that may warrant a recall.

The air bag light comes on . Vehicle was service at balise nissan dealership to try to figure out what the problem was and see if they can fix it . All they did was reset the light and once we drove off dealership parking lot the light came back on like 10 min after .

The electrical unit that controls the passenger air bag, located in the right passenger seat, has been found to be in nonworking order by the dealer and dealer claims there is no active recall regarding that malfunction.for the dealer to replace said part would cost the owner $2000.

The passenger air bag light intermittently indicates that the passenger air bag is off while the seat is occupied by an adult.this is the same problem for which a recall was issued for 2007-2008 nissan rogues and many other nissan models.the nissan service department cannot find the problem.

Passenger side seat belt sensor warning light remains lit at all timeswhether or not there is a passenger in the seat regardless if the vehicle is moving or not.

Airbags passenger wont work because of faulty sensor in passenger seat.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the brakes were wearing prematurely. The contact mentioned that she had to replaced the brakes every 10,000 miles. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician stated that the failure was normal and the vehicle was performing to specifications. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 30,000 and the current mileage was 44,000.

I was highway driving for 40 miles when my nissan rogue started to get loose and make an odd noise when i applied the brakes.the rode was damp in places, but not enough to engage the anti lock brakes.traveling on, it would occasionally repeat the noise and wobble.60 miles into the trip, i was traveling 55 mph and not applying the brakes when the steering got extremely wobbly and i had little control over the car.it was very difficult to even pull over.once i got it stopped, i called for a tow truck and had to pull up to read a road sign and the steering was still wobbly just pulling forward.it was towed to the nearby nissan dealer who worked on it for over 3 hours and they could not duplicate the problem.i asked if there were any recalls or problems with this model and was told, "no."

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while applying the brakes during snowy weather conditions, the brakes would not engage sporadically. The failure would only occur during inclement weather. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was contacted but would not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was 9,900 and the current mileage was 10387.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving at an unknown speed, the steering wheel violently veered to the right on its own while the wheels remained straight. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the steering gear screw was loose and unble to be tightened. The mechanic informed the contact that the vehicle was repaired per an unknown recall. The vehicle was not repaired. John amato nissan (414-905-3064, located at 5200 n port washington rd, glendale, wi 53217) informed the contact to call the mnaufacturer. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 240,000. Consumer has enclosed attachment a which describes the recall the steering bear housing cover screw which was recalled. Also included is att. B which shows the lock plate and clamp that was used in recall prior to myself purchasing the vehicle in 2012. Recall did't maintain the stability of the steering column. Consumer has attached attachment c as the bill paid to repair failed recall.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving 8 mph and making a left turn, the steering wheel locked and almost caused a crash. The failure occurred several times while turning left or right. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 190,000.

On 12/30/10 at 11,300 miles.when turning steering wheel car would make a grind and creaking noise from front end at random times.dealership was unable to duplicate sound.on 12/29/11 at 16,448 miles.when turning the steering wheel at any speed the car would make a grind and clunk noise from the front end.the sound became gradually worse over time and was consistently heard.brought car to the dealership.they replicated sound and replaced both front strut bearings.repairs covered under warranty.on 8/14/13 at 23,839 miles.returned car to dealership for grind and clunk sound again.dealership confirmed sound.they removed and replaced left front strut bearing.car was no longer under warranty but manufacturer waived charges.

At about 1200 to 1500 rpms the vehicle starts to vibrate throughout the steering wheel.when sitting in traffic for 30 minutes and driving within that range your hand becomes numb.when i started to do research on itappears that alot of people are having the same problem and the new york times even wrote an article about it.you have to drive the car over 50 mph to avoid it.that leads to speeding where i live.nissan is aware of the problem and they indicated that some people are more sensitive to the issue than other people.i took the car and the dealer indicated refer to you article because we can't fix it.i think it's absurd my vehicle has 2100 miles on it and i've never owned a car that does this.you have to move your hands off the wheel because they go numb.i was told drive faster or take a different route to work.

My car was in garage running in park.stepped out of vehicle , was standing outside door.car shot backward out of garage, onto driveway. Never saw anything like it.make a sharp turn with back end coming out of the driveway and facing to the right of my garage.(my two legs run over by the vehicle as it turned around).car proceeded to turn forward down hill over front of my yard and stopping in my neighbors empty lot next to their house.coming to a stop after hitting a tree.after looking in vehicle after it stopped, car was in parked gear.

The right door handle suddenly became unable to open the door from the outside.

I just received recall notice 15v-032 for driver side water leak. My vehicle has leak on passenger side. Carpet is moldy and badly discolored. Any way the 2 are connected?

My 2009 rogue air bag light came on and i took it to the dealership. They said it would be $2200 to fix and that if i was in a wreck the air bags may or may not work. I'm seeing a lot of people have this issue and it's a huge safety concern that nissan needs to address. I will never buy another nissan. The sensor that need to be replaced is in the car seat. Why was it designed like that??? stupid!

Both front doors will not open from the outside after being exposed to freezing temperatures in our driveway overnight. Despite having only 44,000 miles on the odometer we were told by a nissan rep that they would not repair the car. If we want the car fixed we were told by the nissan dealer the cost would be about $700. Because the doors will not open from the outside it is a safety hazard in the event we were incapacitated inside the car,or a child were to get stuck inside the vehicle.

My nissan rogue 2009 begins to burn when it was running, the motor and all of its components burn.

Rear bumper came unattached on i-24, 70mph zone, on right side. Nissan and auto dealer refused to repair or investigate due to expired warranty. Owned the vehicle for one year. No accidents (none reported on car fax) both are stating i am at fault for bumper coming apart. I did not hit anything nor has anyone hit me.## vin passed ## nissan rogue sl ##

Under the cold weather, both of the front doors couldn't open from outside since the linkage of the door lock frozen and the cable was detached.the problem was fixed under a recall, however, it is now happening again in dec 2014.it is a big safety issue if you have to open doors from the back to get access.

During ice and snowy conditions the outside door handle mechanism fails not allowing you to open the door from the outside. It has happened 3 times on the drivers door and once on the passenger door. To fix the problem you have to take apart the door and re hook up a cable. There seems to be a vin number recall for this but it doesn't include my rogue. Took it to the dealer to have it fixed and they wanted to charge 600 dollars for their flawed mechanism on 1 side!!! major pain to have to open the door from the passenger side or reach over the seat to open the door from the inside. Seems to be a safety issue that nissan should fix when they know it is an issue with other nissan vehicles. Not happy with nissan or their service. The last time it occurred was 12/18/2015. But it has happened the last 3 winters and i fixed it .

We have stopped driving the vehiclein case of an accident & until we get a solution, in the past couple of days my nissan rogue started making terrible noises underneath the engine area, like metalon metal sounds. I had assumed maybe my cv boot needed replaced so i brought it to my mechanic and he brought to my attention today that the sub body frame bushings are completely gone on 2 spots.in my opinion that should've been should be a recall our warranty item which is extremely dangerous

My 2009 nissan passenger door will not open from outside, also driver door is the same, have to climb into back seat to open up.took to fussillo nissan in ny. Tech said door cable was frozen and broke from handle.i see this is a major issue with all lot of people with this vehicle.service manager admitted that this is a huge issue for everyone with this vehicle. This is not covered and the job was going to cost me almost $600.what is nissan doing about this???

Front passenger side door lock stopped working and now only works manually from the inside

When the temperature was below 32 degrees when trying to open the driver door handle the cable has came out of the housing. Which now the door cannot be opened from the outside.

The door handle on the driver side froze and won't open this is a safety recall but is only covered once and is a recurring problem for the 2009 cars . Driver side door won't open from the outside only the inside once it freezes it requires labor hours to tear apart the door to fix it.

Front passenger and driverside doors will not open from the outside. With intermittent inside door opening issue as well. Occurs in cold weather freezing areas.

The right door handle suddenly became unable to open the door from the outside.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While the vehicle was stationary, the passenger door would not open when prompted. The contact stated that the passenger door would not open even while unlocked. The vehicle was repaired and the inside of the door panel was removed, but the failure recurred. The parts that were replaced were unknown. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000.

On dec.30 2013 went to open front drivers side door and heard a pop and door would not open, had to crawl through passenger side to open door. The next day went to open passenger side door and same thing happened. I took off door panel and could see where the cables had come off. Took to the dealer and they said on both sides the cables had popped out of the latches. They charged me $500.00 to fix both doors. Happened again in march 2014 on passenger side.

Both front doors got jammed? and would not open. Car was in nissan dealership for almost 2 weeks to fix.

Vehicle speed does not apply to this situation.the handle on the passenger door freezes or it sprung, inside the handle itself.we have had this problem fixed 3 times now since 2013, if you check there are thousands of 2009/2010 nissan rogues that have this same issuewhy?we were told by a person at one of the nissan dealerships that there appears to be weakness in the handles mechanism.this could be very dangerous should there be a fire, accident etc, and someone needed to get a person out of that side of the car. As it is now you can not open the door from the outside!my husband has had it fixed 3 times and we feel this has got to be a recall issue due to the recurrence of the handle breaking over and over.not to mention so many others having the same issue.it is my contention that it should be fixed by nissan and not paid for by us this time.your speed in handling this problem would be appreciated.

Driverand passenger doors wont open from out side.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While the vehicle was in park, both front doors failed to open manually or with the key fob. The contact had to enter the vehicle by using the rear door. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,000. Updated 6/3/15 updated 10/3/2017

Frame cracked, cv axles keep un-aligning and thus causing the car to have issues accelerating.

Very loud knocking noise from front end when going over any bumps other than a smooth road.coming from front passenger side.the steering is still ok.the engines is running fine.the noise is metal on metal like someone hitting it with a hammer.noise started about beginning of april and has been getting louder and louder.today's date is april 23.almost like a rubber bushing fell off and not the joint is metal on metal.

March 23, 2011 driving at highway speeds the tire pressure light came on and the rear passenger side tire went immediately flat.upon inspection, the pressure sensing valve stem seal failed.only about 1/8 of the stem could be found.the failed sensor stem allowed the tire to blow down instantly.pictures of the failed stem, tire and rim where collected to show there was no damage to the rim or tire to cause the stem to fail.tire and rim were taken to nissan dealer and stem was replaced under warranty.thankfully it was the rear tire and not a front tire.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. While driving at 60 mph, the contact noticed that the rear driver side tire had deflated. In addition, the tire pressure monitoring light was previously illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the tire pressure sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact was aware of nhtsa campaign number: 09v393000 (tires), but the vin was not included.the failure mileage was 85,000.

I understand that federal law now requires all new cars to have tire pressure monitoring systems. I would like to complain that many of these systems are so sensitive that they will be effectively useless because drivers will ignore them. I have always been religious about regular maintenance, including checking my tire pressure regularly. My 2009 nissan versa's tire "idiot light" is almost always on. It takes as little as 1/3 lb. Change from the recommended pressure for the light to come on -- sometimes it comes on while i'm driving and is off again by the time i finish my trip. Consulting with both dealers and other owners of new cars confirms my suspicion that the sensors are just too sensitive -- some have replaced all their sensors two or three times to no effect. I just wanted to make someone aware that these devices, while a good idea in principal, are just too sensitive (and annoying) right now for them to be useful safety devices. Thank you.

When i am driving on highway or freeway the speed is decreasing little by little i am really scared because it is a risky situation

I recentley took my car into the shop becuase my sunroof was off aligned but the guy pressed some button to try and reset it himself instead of sending it into the shop to have it inspected the right way. So i needed to travel out of town for an family emergency and while on the highway my sunroof exploded while riding on the highway. I feel like if he would have went about it the right way when i brought it in all of this would of have been avoided.

Defective door handle/locking assembly. Both front doors handle assembly froze up preventing me from opening both doors.in the mean time my wife had climb from the back seat to open thedoor from the inside. One time she stopped at the top of the driveway to get the mail on a snowy windy day, she pulled up next to the mailbox got out for a second and the door blew shut locking my 2 year old son, the keys and her phonein the back seat thankfully neighbor was home and used a coat hanger to activate the latch . This could have been much worse.i called the local dealer ship and paid 99 bucks to diagnose and they say i need to replace the latches and it will cost about 900 bucks !! online and another mechanic have said this is a recalled issue and the latches freeze and they will replace free of charge and there is even and addendum to ad additional insulation to latches to prevent future freeze ups. I am going to try to call another dealership and corporate nisaan if i have too. Some one please help me with information on this saftey issue.

Drivers side door occasionally will not open.it can never be opened from outside, but there have been several times when i'm inside and go to open the door to get out, and it wont open. This is with engine turned off, car in park, and doors unlocked. In an emergency, such as car stalling on a railroad track/car sinking in a pond/engine on fire - i could be stuck inside!

The vehicle will suddenly lose acceleration for no reason. I brought this car for my granddaughter and she has almost gotten hit a couple of times because of this problem.i have read several complaints about this same issue.she was driving on the interstate and all of the sudden the speed dropped all the way down to thirty then to twenty. She had to pulled over onto shoulder and wait about ten minutes before she could proceed, it still would not go over forty even though she had the pedal floored. Since this is a problem with so many cars please make nissan fix it.

I have a 2009 nissan rogue. I have had this vehicle since 2012 and it just came to my attention, while i was in park, in my driveway when my 6 yr old was asking my about what the letters next to the gear shifter meant when he grabbed the shifter, engaged the button and pulled it down into reverse without me applying the break. I thought to myself, it should not have done that. I thought maybe i had a recall on my vehicle that i might not have known about, so i looked it up and there was nothing for my vehicle. However for the 2015 models, some of them did have a recall for a rollaway problem. I called my dealer and asked them about my problem and they told me that because there was no recall on my vehicle there was nothing they could do about the problem unless i wanted to pay for a diagnostic and for them to find out what the problem was. I looked up this problem and it is around a $700 fix. If there was a recall on the 2015 models there could be a possiblitiy that my vehicle could have the same problem.

I purchased my 2009 nissan rogue in december 2016 with 110k miles on it. In march 2017 i began noticing issues with my vehicle while on long trips. The first long trip i took was in march 2017 and about 150 miles into the trip my vehicle would not accelerate over 65-70mph which is very dangerous when the speed limit is 85mph. The issue did not resolve itself and i turned my vehicle off for several hours and did not have any problems after that. I have been working with the dealership i purchased it from to diagnose the problem and was told it was a cvt transmission problem. After further research i found that nissan actually issued an extended warranty for this issue but did not issue a recall. My vehicle is outside of the extended warranty period but the exact issue i am having is the exact issue the warranty was extended for. I was unaware of any extended warranty when i purchased the vehicle because i did not purchase from a nissan dealership. I have contacted nissan consumer affairs and they have offered to fix the issue at 50% cost to me. I am not okay with paying 50% of a repair for a known defect on their cvt transmissions for my model year. Why wasn't a recall issued on this? this is dangerous. I was almost rear ended twice because my vehicle would not accelerate and i should be able to take my vehicle on long trips without worrying about transmission failure. There is an internal whistle in my transmission and i was told by the repair tech at nissan that this is the first indication of the cvt issue. I will not be paying for this repair, a recall needs to be issued on this problem. There are many other nissan consumers with the same issue and i will be joining a class action lawsuit on this matter as well.

I purchased a 2009 nissan rogue.approximately 3 weeks ago (1/7/10) the drivers side door handle broke.i was unable to enter my vehicle through the drivers side.the door opens from the inside, but i can't open the vehicle from the outside.i went to kingston nissan, in kingston, ny 12401 and advised them of the problem.a mechanic looked at my vehicle and advised me that a new handle was needed.i thought this type of part could be easily fixed, but i was wrong.as of today, (1/28/10) my vehicle has not been fixed.kingston nissan service department advised me that they can not find a replacement part and that the part(s) are coming from japan and would arrive until february 7th, 2010.i must wait over a month to get my vehicle fixed.in the meantime, the only way to access my vehicle is by using the passenger side door and climb over the seats. If i were physically unable to climb over the seats, i would not be able to operate my vehicle. Fortunately, i am able, but if a person was not, they would either have to rent a vehicle or use some other means of transportation.i find this problem inexcusable.a simple door handle part must be sent from japan to fix this problem. Please assist me in finding a better solution.also, i have recently received several recalls on my vehicle.i feel that nissan is providing inadequate service to its customers and maybe supplyinginadequate vehicles and potentially unsafe vehicles to the american public.thank you for your time.tw*

2009 nissan rogue with less than 60,000 original miles won't accelerate even when pushing down the throttle pedal.on the highway, once driven for a while, it will not maintain speed no matter how much throttle is applied.research seems to indicate a transmission design flaw.there are lots of similar complaints that can be found on-line.i feel this is very much a safety hazard.

Can would not accelerate once i was at a stop. Would try and go and vehicle would go an estimated speed of 5mph this is extremely dangerous when trying to turn or pull into an intersection. Not knowing if my vehiclewould go without issues or lose power and pull in front of a car going dangerously slow. This has happen about 10times and random days/times. This is a continuing problem.

Horn will only work when the wheels are turned to the right.

When stopped car starts a smell like gas

While driving on a highway using speed control at 70 mph my car suddenly kicked out of speed control and decelerated 20 mph.my car then refused to accelerate over 60 mph. The outside temperature was above 90 degrees and i had been driving for 5 and a half hours with 2 brief stops. No lights came on, and the car did not indicate it was overheating.i brought the car to my normal repair person and they informed me that it was my transmission.i brought the car to the nissan dealership because it was still under warranty.they had a service bulletin that matched my exact issue and complaint.however, they could not reproduce the issue so i was not eligible for a new transmission.they told me it was the temperature of the fluid in my transmission and a new transmission would not solve that problem.they flushed my transmission and checked my fluid levels.they suggested if it happens again i purchase a part that is added to the transmission to cool down the transmission fluid at my own expense. They also stated that many other rogues drivers have had this issue and suggested i contact nissan.

After driving a long period time usually about 40 minutes into driving. Car does not accelerate actually loses power. Start to decelerate. This can cause and injury or maybe death when on the highway.

Outside latches failed simultaneously car was parked winter day 25 degrees f (car was stored outside all evening and driven). Passenger could not get out. I got out and went to unlock door and no luck, tried key and no luck. Went to drivers side door and could not get in. Had to enter the vehicle from the rear doors. Vehicle had history of this being replaced, but as a second used car owner was not told of problem and nissan says because i was not considered a loyal customer and that the doors were no longer under warranty.

I take my car a lot of times to the dealer for the tires light sensor they turn it off and ass soon i drive the car the light comes out again that happened like 5 times till they say the car has a recall......

I was driving at highway speed between 70-75 mph on the interstate. After exiting off the interstate and stopping at the stop sign, i pressed the gas pedal and it stalled in the middle of the intersection with oncoming traffic. The motor was still running but the car would not move for several seconds. There have been two other incidents, 8/9/13 and 10/10/13, when i was traveling on the interstate at highway speed and passing another vehicle and my rogue stalls and would not accelerate and i had cars behind me and cars in the right lane. I put on my hazard lights and was eventually able to get over and had just enough momentum to get to the side of the road. I put the car in park and sat for 5-10 minutes. I then put the car in drive and it drove normal. People need to be made aware that these nissan vehicles will stall without warning and it seems to occur most often when driving at highway speeds so passing vehicles on two way roads can be dangerous! i have been told by nissan that it's the transmission and it is a known issue with nissan.

Cvt enters limp mode after 30 minutes of driving 65+ miles per hour. I lose a lot of power when that happens causing my vehicle to be unable to accelerate or go over 3k rpms.

Wife turning left at stop light. Stepped on gas pedal and very little acceleration, almost t-boned. It happens intermittently, and with no warning. I was driving to the dealer and it happened to me. Stopped for a red light and then the problem was gone. The dealer said the break switch was the problem. I declined repairs because every time i take the rogue to check and repairs something else need fixing. I will take for repairs to a aaa repair shop near my home.wondering if other nissan rogue owner have experienced this problem.the scary thing is that there is no warning lights on the dash and no warning at all.thanks you.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'

I had driven my 2009 nissan rogueas i was drivingfor about 1 hr @ 65mph and all of a sudden the speed decreased on its own .. I let go of the gas and then quickly put my foot on the pedal again but it would not speed up.. I had my foot completely on the gas pedal. But it would not go faster than 20mph. I was driving on the freeway there could have been an accident... With my two kids on board...

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that after driving for an extended period of time which exceeded one hour, the vehicle would stall as the service engine warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that while driving uphill, the vehicle would decelerate independently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,000.

Can would not accelerate once i was at a stop. Would try and go and vehicle would go an estimated speed of 5mph this is extremely dangerous when trying to turn or pull into an intersection. Not knowing if my vehiclewould go without issues or lose power and pull in front of a car going dangerously slow. This has happen about 10times and random days/times. This is a continuing problem.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. The contact stated that while driving 70 mph, the vehicle decelerated without any warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 56,000.

Vehicle lost acceleration while changing lanes and crashed with another faster car.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue. After stopping at a stop sign, when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle failed to accelerate and the check engine warning light illuminated. While the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle suddenly jerked forward.in addition, the vehicle failed to start intermittently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the intake valve hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the air filter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,000.

I was driving on the highway nothing more the 50mph.and my sunroof exploded on the high way with out notice.the glass cut my skin on my hand.and was a loud exploding sound.as i done research on my exploding sound roof incident on google on the internet.i found out i was not the only one that has experienced this sunroof glass exploding while driving.nothing fell on my car.but caused glass to fall on me and almost a accident from shock of this happening.i am begging you to please make the 2009 nissan rogue sunroofs a recall.because i was lucky enough not to die.but there may not be someone else that is luck.i just got glass cuts.i spoke to nissan and they told me 800 dollars to fix a manufacture defect.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue.the contact stated that the windshield wipers on her vehicle were not fast enough to clear the rain from the windshield.the failure has caused poor visibility when driving in the rain.the vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that all the rogue vehicles performed in that manner; therefore, nothing could be done to assist.the failure mileage was 3,700.

The contact owns a 2009 nissan rogue.the contact stated that the low pressure sensor warning light was illuminated.the dealer replaced the tire nut and one of the tire pressure sensors but the failure recurred.the manufacturer was contacted and performed repairs under nhtsa campaign id number: 09v393000 (tires:pressure monitoring and regulating systems), but denied any assistance when the failure recurred.the vehicle was repaired a second time at the contact's expense.the failure mileage was 18,920 and the current mileage was 50,000.

Frame cracked, cv axles keep un-aligning and thus causing the car to have issues accelerating.
