At 104,000 miles my 2007 nissan quest front passenger air bag light started blinking. I started the van one morning to take my daughter to school and noticed it was just continously blinking. I took it to the nissan dealership and was quoted $700 for the repair. I wanted a second and third opinionso i took it to 2 other places. Both places refused to work on it and instructed me to immediately go to the nissan dealership because the airbag was faulty. I returned to the dealership with the paperwork from the two repair shops and was basically told the 2 repair shops were incompetent. So i decided to try one more repair shop; keep in mind none of these repair shops had any idea i had been to the dealership or other repair shops. Once again the third repair shop told me the airbag was faulty and i should go straight to the nissan dealership.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnosed that the air bag sensor malfunctioned. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 104,000. The vin was not available.updated 2/24/15updated 9/13/2017

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. While driving 30 mph, the fuel gauge moved up and down erratically and the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to all pro nissan of dearborn (24501 michigan ave, dearborn, mi 48124, 313-749-3200) where it was diagnosed that the fuel level sensor was faulty. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the symptoms recurred, but the vehicle was not repaired again. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 151,457.*the consumer stated he was charged for a recall that was supposed to be free of charge. There are other problems with the vehicle vibrating front end, air bag light keeps flashing, but the consumers vehicle was not included in the recall.

After purchasing this vehicle and driving home the check engine light came on the vehicle engine reved up but didn't move then it continued to drive every now and then it did this . No horn no air bags suspension then felt funny.

Advised nissan that airbag sensor light keeps flashing.airbag light came on when i started car for no particular reason.nissan told me it was going to cost $800 to repair.i decided to report this incident after my husbands car also a nissan (pathfinder) started having the same problem in feb 2014.both cars are 2007 and seemed to happen around the same vehicle mileage.nissan also advised me that the airbags would not deploy if they were not fixed.so now both of our nissan cars have there airbag sensor lights flashing.

On more than one occasion my wife and young son became stranded by the vehicle running out of gas while the gas gauge read up to 3/8 of a tank and onboard computer told us 60+ miles remaining before empty. I see this has happened to others and my experiences mirror those that are already reported. Hopefully the investigation will proceed quickly and this matter will be resolved soon so i can trust this vehicle again.

This is further to my complaint about incorrect fuel gauge reading and running out of gas three times when both the fuel gauge and digital display have told me that i had between 80 and 130 miles of travel left to travel. Low fuel or reservelight never illuminated. My service light came on and i connected my car mdreader to the vehicle data connection and ran the diagnostic on it came back with the followingreport. I hope this will help, stored codes are conditions that your vehicle reported after your check engine light was set. Carmd uses these codes to accurately identify a most likely repair or "cure".retrieved diagnostic code:p0462technical definition: fuel level sensor a circuit low inputgeneric definition: this fault code indicates the comprehensive component monitor (ccm) has detected a malfunction in the fuel level sensor circuit. The signal from the sensor was lower than the minimum expected value for a predetermined period of time for the driving conditions present when the code was set. The fuel level sensor monitors the amount of fuel in the fuel tank. A float arm attached to a variable resistor changes position as the fuel level changes. When the fuel level in the tank is high (the float is 'up') the resistance is low; as the fuel level drops (the float moves 'down'), resistance increases. The signal from the fuel level sensor is supplied to the vehicle's fuel gauge to provide an indication of the amount of fuel in the fuel tank.additional resourcesin some instances your vehicle's manufacturer may issue a technical service bulletin (tsb) to address this problem. (?) issued tsb? tsb not availablemaybe this will resolve the issue now with the safety factor and faulty fuel reading due to component product failure. To me this seems that a this will be $700 repair bill for a 25c part.

Fuel gauge stopped working, backup sensors stopped working, and alot of electrical issues.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stalled and all the warning lights illuminated. The contact mentioned that the ability to steer seized. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was able to come to a complete stop. However, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle had to be towed home. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 135,000.

I went out to get in my van i tried to start it up the car wouldn't turn over had to have it towed to mikes fairwood auto and he found out after looking atit the vehicle was out of gas even though the gauge said there was gas in the vehicle he then looked the nissan quest up and found out they have had 37000 complaints and even deaths to the gauge being wrong i was lucky enough that i wasn't driving the vehicle when it happened but i would like to file a grievance against nissan before anybody else gets hurt or killed.

The gas gauge must be faulty. If i fill up may move or not. Usually shows empty. The van may be moving or sitting still . I called nissan dealership and was vin was included in the recall. I can't understand why because has the same issue as the 68,000 vans that were repaired. I think the part is called sender unit.

Fuel level gauge says a little less than 1/4 tank when fuel tank is empty. This inaccuratefuel level gage has stranded my wife 5 times since we've had the vehicle. Last time it was right after passing a truck on a two lane road, creating an unsafe condition.

Was driving near my home when the vehicle engine simply shut off and stopped working and i had to coast to a stop on the side of the street. Fortunately i was at low speed (about 25mph) and not in a situation where the hazard might have been higher, since the power brakes also shut off with the motor.i didn't understand what happened since my fuel gauge was showing a little over 1/4 tank full and the car would not turn back on.afterwards i figured that it was probably lack of gas, even though the indicator still showed over 1/4 tank full, so i went to get a some gas and put 5 gallons in the vehicle and it started immediately, on first try.

While driving my 2007 nissan quest (during rush hour) my van suddenly shut down and just glided until i came to a complete stop. Keep in mind my gauge was showing that i had a half a tank? luckily i was able to get off to the side of the road, if not it could have been very dangerous for me and my kids. They really should do something about this , mechanics cant figure it out?

While getting onto a freeway (dark/raining/pm), the vehicle shut down without warning.this caused a complete power failure to the power brakes and power steering.this created a immediate hazard.also, this left my wife and two kids stranded.the vehicle showed about a 1/4 tank of gas on the dash and the digital readout in the center console said 68 miles to empty.i towed the vehicle home.prior to doing diagnostic work i put a gallon of gas in.the vehicle started right up.i filled up the tank thinking maybe the float/sensor may have stuck.again the van without warning shut down completely.this time it was in a residential area.the gas gauge showed 1/4 tank and center console computer read 66 miles to empty.i placed 5 gallons in and it started right up.this is dangerous because the fuel light doesn't come on and there is no warning when the car will shut down.losing power brakes/steering unexpectedly creates a serious hazard in itself.i know keep the tank above 1/2 because below that i'm rolling the dice.hopefully nissan will do the right thing and fix the issue since there seems to be quite a few of these.

I had a problem with the timing chain fixed paid a lot of money and it's doing it again my mechanic said this specific vehicle has this problem.

When you start to take off at stop sign or red light the transmission jerks an knocks when it starts changing gears . An sometimes cuts the engine off sometimes inmiddle of traffic. <my two grankids have to ride inn this poj >

I received a check engine light on my quest and the fuel gauge hand was not working properly. I would fill it up and the gas hand would go to full and then as i would drive it would drop down to empty for a while and back to full for while as i would drive. I took it to my local dealership and they stated it was the fuel pump. I had a fuel pump put on by and independent mechanic but the check engine light was still on so i took it back to the dealership and they stated that it was the fuel pump but i told them i replaced that and they then stated it was the sending unit, i told them my local mechanic checked the sending unit and he said that the connectivity was good on the sending unit. The local dealership then ran more diagnostic and said it was dash that caused the problem and not the fuel pump. I had the dash replaced and the fuel gauge is now stuck on full. I have read several other forums with people that have had the same problem as i. I believe this needs to be looked into as a recall as it seems to be affecting a lot of people.

There is a rattling noise somewhere in the front of the vehicle (apparently in the wheels).also, i noticed some vibration in the steering wheel.there seem to be some electric failure as sometimes the a/c don't work (when that happens you have to turn off the vehicle and then turn it on again for it to work).

"takata recall". Safety and performance is needed on brakes electric is issue. Brakes seems very ware and ......

This has happened to me on two occasions now. Driving along in peak traffic and suddenly vehicle shuts off. No power steering and almost involved in accidents both occasions the first time i was alone the second time i had my grand babies with me and that was terrifying for them as the other road users where whizzing past and they were stopped. Both times i looked at the digital reading on the display and it displayed the miles as 80 miles to empty and 60 miles to empty and the manual gauge still showed just under 1/4 tank left. The low fuel light never came on either time. This needs to be sorted out before some one gets killed especially as this is used to transport children....updated 04-10-14

I have been having trouble with the electrical in my van. The air conditioning has been on when i turn the car off and then when i start the car the next time it won't be on. But if i turn it off it starts blowing. Also, the radio will quit whenever it decides to. Driving down the road listening to the radio and it will make a loud pop and then a high pitched sound until i turn the radio off. It won't work again until the car has been turned off a while then restarted. I will loose all the settings on my radio. I am worried that if there it trouble with that stuff what else might stop. I have owned the car since 2008/9(not sure). The air was the problem the first. About the last year and a half the radio has been stopping more and more. I don't want the other electrical things to start acting up. If the lights start going i won't be able to drive the thing.i am wanting to know if other people have had this complaint???? please help

I was driving from pekin to work in peoria and noticed that i had a little less than 1/4 tank of fuel so i figured i would be able to get gas on the way home. When i checked the trip gage it said that i had 8 miles to go before i ran out of gas. That is a huge difference than what my gas gauge said. I stopped and got gas immediately and while doing so i noticed that it took 17 gallons of gas. If it had actually had a 1/4 tank in it there is no way that i should be able to put 17 gallons of gas in an 18 gallon tank. I have called my nissan dealership about it and was told there was no recollection of this being an issue. This isn't the first time it has happened but i cannot remember the first time it happened. Since this has been happening i have been keeping track of my mileage and filling up according to my mileage records. I hope this can get fixed soon i am a mother and the last thing i would want to happen is to get stranded on the side of the road with my baby in the car because of an error that wasn't my fault.

Gas gauge read that i had 1/4 oftank of gas. I did not have any.i had to call aaa for assistance.since then, my gas gauge has not been accurate.i will need to have it serviced.

Yesterday my wife was driving my 7 yr old daughter to school. While traveling on a 8 lane interstate at approx 65mph the van started hesitating and slowing down and then she lost all power to the engine and luckily was able to make it to the shoulder of the interstate. We paid to have it towed to our mechanic. This morning we spoke with our mechanic and he told us the van had run out of gas even though our gas gauge showed we had 1/4 of a tank of gas in the vehicle and our "miles to empty" showed approx 60 mile left until empty.

First time, i was driving on busy traffic and looked at the gas gauge and it displayed another 40-50 miles to gas/fuel empty, but my quest died as it ran out of gas; i had no warning or light came on. Second time, i was on the freeway driving at 60 mph andlooked at the gas gauge and it displayed another 50-60 miles to gas/fuel empty; i felt my quest was going to stop, so i was lucky to get out of freeway and my quest died right after (out of gas). For both occasion, i had children on the van and extremely concerned that this issue just happen all of the sudden. For safety concerns, i took my quest to auto mechanic and they confirmed that the fuel/gauge was not working and got it repaired.

My a/c is running while itsince turned off i tried disconnecting the battery to reset it nothing works also when i drive the quest at high speed and try to stop the front end of the car shakes while i'm slowing down

The ecm (computer) is placement is under windshield.which over time allows water to run down into the ecm causing erosion and holes in the housing and computer. Then water gets into the computer causing it fail communicating or not properly communicating with the car.this problem that nissan does not want to own.my computer is damaged due to its placement and water hitting over time. This has caused the car to shake and send errors that cause the cylinder to miss fire. I was driving and the service engine light came on and flashed.

I was traveling on a state road at approx. 50 mph. I was beginning to start a curvy hill and pressed the gas pedal with no response. There was no engine revving heard and the tachometer had dropped to zero and all dash lights were on as if i had just turned the key to the 'on' position to start it. There was no low fuel light and the fuel gauge indicated 1/4 tank. I tried turning the engine over, but it wouldn't crank as if it was out of gas. Thankfully there was no one behind me coming around the blind curve or else someone would have been severely injured or worse. I pressed the trip button several times on the data display and it was flashing asterisk as if it was out of gas. I walked 2 miles to a gas station and put a gallon of gas in the tank and the car van cranked right up which indicated the van was out of gas, but the fuel gauge and low fuel light was faulty. This has occurred 3 other times with my wife driving alone. Once was on a u.s. Hwy. It appears there's a bad fuse or bad sensor, but we're not sure and i've not seen any recalls on this. Now we just have to keep an eye on the data display once the fuel hits a half tank. It's just not something you think to do while driving. I at least wish the trip display would pop up as a low fuel backup, but when your children are watching a dvd or the radio is on and you're concentrating on driving you don't think to press the trip button to check the dte. I wish someone would come up with a solution or show a recall. We are desperate and afraid someone will either be injured or it will do damage to the van. We can't afford to take to the dealer to pay a high price b/c my wife is in school. Please help!

I bought a 2007 nissan quest with 138000 miles and a full tank of gas according to theaccording to the needle.with just 130 driven in 5 days i lose all power steering and brakes on a busy road.after leaving my car at a mechanic shop for the weekend i came across my paperwork which included a campaign notice regarding the fuel gauge and that i should take my car to a dealership for them to replace once the parts become available at my cost to me for repair.after finding out there was absolutely no gas in the van i went to the dealership and they state there is nothing they can do.even though i have written notice that they will repair at no cost for labor and parts they will not honor their notice.i must now pay out of my own pocket.

At 60000 miles had to replace the passenger wheel bearing and abs sensor in the vehicle. At 90000 miles a knocking sound began to come from the engine while the vehicle was stopped or in park.mechanic advised this was due to the timing chain, which is a problem due to the plastic parts that nissan uses to hold the tension on the chain. This is a known problem with this model vehicle as numerous complainants have been filed.concerned that nissan knew it had a bad component and has not fixed the problem that exist. Also, now the driver side wheel bearing is bad and needs to be replaced.started to have problems with the brakes around 30000.fixed the brakes with oe parts, and then began to have problems with the rotors.technician advised these problems came from the rotors getting hot.had the rotors turned which did not work.now i am going to have to replace the rotors on the front of the vehicle.window motor also has went bad in the vehicle.

Problems with the fuel pump/system have occurred several times.on or about 1/6/2013, while driving 20 mph and coming to a light, the car turned off.the gauge showed 1/4 tank.the mechanic replaced the fuel pump and added 1 gallon of gas.next day, the same thing happened as approaching a red light. Fuel level still at 1/4 tank.mechanic added gas and the car started.gas gauge is inaccurate and dangerous.in february 2013, on several occasions, after driving/parking the van, it would start and then turn off, start and then turn off.i was able to get it to run by giving it gas as soon as it started. On 3/13/2013, after driving the van and parking it, it would not start.it kept cranking, but nothing.mechanic found electrical problem in the wiring and was able to fix it.on 3/28/2013, the car started and the fuel gauge dropped to empty with service engine light on.van had a full tank of gas.mechanic replaced the fuel pump and said there is an electrical problem with the fuel pump grounding. On a nissan forum i discovered the following recall:"the recall affects 2005 - 2008 nissan titan, armada and infiniti qx56s as well as nissan frontier pickups and pathfinder and xterra suvs produced between january and march 2006 and between october 2007 and january 2008. Due to a problem with a sensor inside the fuel tank, the gauges can show gas tanks a quarter full when they are in fact empty."i think the nissan quest should also be recalled because this is a very serious and dangerous problem which is endemic to these cars.

Vehicle ran out of gas even though the fuel gauge read just below 1/4 tank and the low fuel light did not come on. ..update 04-10-14 the dealer finally replaced the fuel sending unit.updated 07/23/14

While driving the vehicle at approximately 35mph the engine suddenly stopped running and the vehicle drifted to a stop.all attempts t restart the vehicle failed.the gas gauge indicated that the fuel tank had approximately 1/3 of a tank of gas remaining.i spent just a few minute searching the internet for people having similar problems with the same make and model (2007 nissan quest).the search uncovered lots of complaints about faulty gas gauges indicating improper fuel levels.so i poured a few gallons of gas into the fuel system and the vehicle started.i have since had the vehicle quit running 2 more times under similar circumstances.each time more fuel is added and the vehicle starts with no trouble.

2007 nissan quest alternator defective only 7,100 miles battery just died out and the dealer diagnosed it as defective but not under warranty because more than 3 years.

2007 nissan quest se speedometer failure. Realized while driving that a number of people were "tailgating" me while i thought i was driving speed limit.i am driving 15 mph slower than what the speedometer shows.has 59,138 miles. No warranty.had to pay for something that dealership called internal failure.

The rattling noise began at 45,000 miles. When i accelerate, a rattling chain sound is heard from the engine area. I currently have 50,000 miles on my 2007 nissan quest. It has to be replaced or it will eventually do damage to the engine. It's an 8 hr process. It's estimated at $1800 for the repair. The timing chain needs to be replaced and there's no recall. There is a repair bulletin out but no recall.the speedometer reads 20-25mph when it's at "parked" and sometimes when the engine is turned off.i am driving 60mph on a local road and 100mph on the freeway. The rear blower turns on by itself when i turn on the engine. I have to shut off the engine and the blower turns off.the front blower is off during the entire time.these are repairs that have been experienced by other owners and yet there's no recall, only service bulletins.

Abs and traction control system failure.abs actuator fails to properly engage upon starting vehicle."abs", "tcs off", "slip" warning lights all illuminated at start of vehicle. Abs actuator makes pronounced noise (pumping but not accumulating necessary pressure) at start of vehicle.

"takata recall". Safety and performance is needed on brakes electric is issue. Brakes seems very ware and ......

I have recently filed a complaint with nissan usa regarding the timing chain rattling noise on my 2007 nissan quest. I was told that the company is not responsible for the repairs since my car was out of warranty.however, the company has issued service bulletin on this issue indicating a major design deficiency with chain guide, tensioner and chains.timing chain is not supposed to go out at this low miles interval, and noting the various complaints on the web, i would request that this issue being investigated and be made into a recall for these vehicles. This can be a safety issue if the chain were to break while operating the vehicle.

My van has 120k miles on it. For the past one year, i have been dealing with a rattle sound in the engine. It comes on a cold start and would go away after a couple of minutes. My mechanic took a look and said these nissan engines have a known issue with the timing chain. Lately the rattle sound keeps coming for more than 5 minutes. I am afraid this will cause some other problem in the engine that would stall the engine while running on the road. Nissan should issue a recall and fix this timing chain issue, which it already knows about.

The transmission, engine mounts, exhaust and engine component was replaced by the dealer under an extended warranty. Most recently the transmission and engine mounts have malfunctioned again.

Bought my 2007 nissan quest in 8/5/13 with the dealer convince my that the vehicle is good and inspected bumper to bumper, after driving for a few times, mileage was 73,000 and present is 83,000 miles,i started hearing noise coming from the timing compartment,i called nissanusa and informed them and they advs to take it in for inspection, they found that the guide for the timing chain system has broken and if not replace it will cause permanent damage to the engine andserious accident,so now i can't use the vehicle.

While driving, the car suddenly loses power and comes to a stop. After several attempts to restart the engine i decided to check the mte and gas gauge which both indicate there is plenty of gas to continue. I had the battery, alternator and starter checked and they were fine. So i decided to add more gas then shazam it started. Please inform if there's a recall or how to remedy the issue. Thanks.

My 2007nissan quest with144,500 miles, has a real bad clunking sound when accelerating, decelerating, or taking off from a standstill. A mechanic told me that it is from bad motor mounts. When accelerating or braking, the motor moves a lot. It does not make any more noises when turning, mainly win braking and accelerating, but also when the transmission shifts up or down a gear.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that the fuel gauge level and low fuel warning light failed to function properly. In addition, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vin was not included in a manufacturer recall related to the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

Secondary timing chain is going out.116,000 miles we should not have to replace this yet!!!we cannot drive the vehicle for fear of it messing up the entire engine.this is a $4,000 repair!many many many other nissan owners are experiencing the same issue.

I have a problem with defective timing chain tensioning systems.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. While driving and making a right turn, the vehicle stalled without warning and the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver. The vehicle was able to be coasted to the side of the road. The contact waited for a minute and was able to drive the vehicle; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing, but a failure code could not be found. The contact called ferman nissan at (913) 933-6641 (located at 11001 n florida ave, tampa, fl 33612) and was informed to schedule an appointment. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer due to the diagnostic and repair fees. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage and vin were unknown.

Lately, when i start the car, there is a rattling sound coming from the engine. It comes for a couple of minutes and then it goes away. I have noticed it on cold starts. My mechanic says, it could be the timing chain issue. When i search the nissan forums, i see a lot of people having this issue. The cost to fix this is around 2000.00. I am not sure if i should fix this now or wait for nissan to issue a re-call for this. Since the rattling sound goes away after a couple of minutes, one part of me tells me i can continue to drive like this. Another part tells me what if the timing chain fails in a busy highway causing a crash. Please review and make nissan issue a re-call for this safety issue.

After purchasing this vehicle and driving home the check engine light came on the vehicle engine reved up but didn't move then it continued to drive every now and then it did this . No horn no air bags suspension then felt funny.

While taking my son to school on 1-27-2016, my wife called me and said her car just quit and won't start. Luckily i was off work that day and was able to tow the minivan home. Thinking it was a minor issue we took it to a mechanic for repair. I expected them to change a fuel filter or maybe a fuel pump but i was shocked to hear that the timing chain had broken and is going to need major repair. At only 85000 miles this should not be an area of concern. After some research i've found many lawsuits against nissan regarding this issue. Nissan knew about the problem but kept installing the faulty components. They have not issued any recalls and won't do anything to remedy the problem, even when i spent an extra 3500 dollars for the extended warranty. I realize there is naturally going to be problems with vehicle, but something of this magnitude is not what your thinking about with under 100,000 miles. For nissan to be aware of the problem and not address or correct the fault is shameful. Not only did they not correct the problem, they kept knowingly using the faulty components for years. Our whole society seems to be relegated to cutting corners, at the expense of others, to get ahead; no matter what the consequences are.

1.vechicle run out of gas even though it showed it had 1/4 tank and displayed 24 miles before empty. Was stuck in the middle of high speed traffic without any warning.2. Vechicle vibrates when driving 40 miles seem to be defective transmition.3.vechicle as loud noise coming from timing chain area . According to mechanic this is a costly and known issue with nissans. Where timing chain guide as permature ware causing time chain to become loose and cuase noise could become a safety issue.

I had a problem with the timing chain fixed paid a lot of money and it's doing it again my mechanic said this specific vehicle has this problem.

Hi we were on way from niagara to harrisburg in our nissan quest 2007. There was no maintenance issue in my vehicle. I had a fuel filled at corning and on the way towards harrisburg on us-15 near to lawerenceville, my vehicle was on 65mph and suddenly the engine stopped and i pulled over to the shoulder.luckily it got completely pulled over to the shoulder. The mechanic near toiga told me that the timing chain has snapped and has caused the engine damage and it is a known problem with the nissan vehicle.need your help to register the complaint.

Timing chain problem. Loud rattling when stationary and moving. Very expensive fix, $1670.

Transmission jerks/slips between gears on daily basis.this just appeared in the spring and has been an ongoing/increasing problem since then.have taken car to mechanic at least 3 times and asked for resolution. Mechanics have been unable to replicate or fix the problem.it is especially prevalent if take foot off gas, coast, then put foot on gas again.sometimes the jerk is severe enough to affect the people sitting in the car.it seems like eventually the car will just not engage and i'll have to leave it on side of road.

We were headed out on a 2400 mile trip and wanted to make sure our van was ready. First issue was the struts. Got those fixed. A week later we were back in because of engine noise and they fixed the timing chain and tensioners. A few days later again because of engine noise we found out the wheel bearing needed fixed.

At about 50,000 miles the engine started emitting a white smoke, i took to several certified mechanics and all of them said it needs an engine overhaul with no gurantee that the white smoke will disappear, the vehicle does not consume coolant or motor oil and has no head gasket engine damage

The pressure power steering hose develops a terrible leak. Eventually required a 1/2 bottle of ps fluid nearly every day! the problem is that the hose is "buried" behind the engine and extremely difficult to replace. A replacement hose is less than $100 but it takes multiple hours of pain and frustration to replace. This type of poor workmanship is totally unacceptable. The fact that it's so difficult to fix a known problem is unconscionable. Nissan should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of consumers. The leaked caused steering issues on numerouse occasions. It never failed completely due to the fact that i carried a gallon jug of ps fluid with me everywhere i went. Now, not only did it take me forever to repair this item, my driveway is an eyesore. Power steering fluid is a very caustic product and does not clean up therefore it has destroyed my driveway. I'm sorely disappointed.

This is by far the worst case of negligence i have witnessed from an automaker! again nissan ignores and covers up a known problem. The timing chain 'death rattle' is highly annoying and makes the owner feel as if the engine will 'go' at any minute. The fact that the repair/replacement cannot be performed without removing the engine from the car is appalling. The poor design on the tensioner guide is well document by nissan and yet they continued to pass off inferior products to unsuspecting customers. Truly, truly disgusting behavior from an automaker. To ease their conscious they issues a tsb on the subject. What they need to do is issue an immediate recall on all vehicles affected. My dealer quoted me $2800 to fix this defect. $2800! $2800! are you serious? nissans lack of consideration for the customer is inexcusable.

When you start to take off at stop sign or red light the transmission jerks an knocks when it starts changing gears . An sometimes cuts the engine off sometimes inmiddle of traffic. <my two grankids have to ride inn this poj >

Tramission actually failed in sept 2012but i don't remember the milage or date... It sat not moving while we made the last 6 -payments on the car to get it payed off. It was very frustrating.it was fixed in feb 2013 the trasnmission had to be rebuilt, it also got a brand new radiator i guess it hat a hole in it.nissan has know abut the issues for a while but fails to be held accoutable for their faulty transmissions.

Took my 2007 nissan quest in to the nissan dealership for a rattle, vibration and pulsing out of the front end. Service writer tells me it's a timing chain (not belt) that needs to be replaced. I asked him if that was the noise i heard (i didn't think that was the issue) and i was told they weren't sure and that probably wasn't the noise i was hearing. I left the dealership only to have the vibrations worse, noise more pronounced and the thought of a 2000.00 bill on the horizon for a timing chain. The vehicle seems to push and constantly pull to the left. Alignment and new tires had no effect at all. Sometimes the van seems unstable at entry highway speeds. Nissan usa clearly doesn't care so i'm hoping you might be able to do something with them.

During regular oil change dealer advised lower "a" arm of suspension and left side engine mount were defective and needed change. I responded i had extended warranty go ahead. Dealer stated there was no extended warranty, i needed to pay cash first. I insisted the dealer send someone to the car a copy of the extended warranty was in the glove compartment. The dealer finally accepted there was an extended warranty.the anomaly is that the oil drain and filter are in immediate proximity to the suspension and engine mount and the defects were not detected during previous oil changes. It was only after the factory warranty expired the defects were found. The dealer expected no warranty existed and therefore cash would need to be paid. Cash payment for non-warranty is kept solely by the dealer.my concern is the defects were found while the vehicle was still under factory warranty and we were sent back out onto the highway in a defective vehicle waiting for the factory warranty to expire. There is a possibility dealers are sending dangerous cars back out onto the highway waiting for factory warranties to expire and not have to split repair fees with corporate.

Issue with timing chain noise when car starts. Faulty timing chain idler and tensioner causes timing chain to be sloppy.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled as the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was able to coast to the side of the road. The vehicle was not able to restart. The vehicle was not towed and was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing of the failure. The contact called passport nissan of marlow heights dealer ((301) 423-8400, 5500 auth way, marlow heights, md 20746) and was informed, the vin was not part of a recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not part of a recall and did not offer further assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 159,000.

A hose that moves antifreeze coolant into vehicle i believe to be caked a vacuum hose fell off causing coolant to leak out completely... In addition the vehicle accelerates for no reason and jerks.. I was told to replace ask motor mounts which i did and still issue persists .. Now check engine light is on and stating the solenoids in transmission need to be replaced... Van loses power unexpectedly. . this happens while driving mostly at low speeds

I just replaced all the motor mounts on my 2007 nissan quest. They have gone bad again. After looking up many forums online, this appears to be a very common issue and possible design flaw. Why has this not become a recall on nissan's part? are motor mounts not a concern? everyone is stating that no matter what they use, either aftermarket or genuine nissan parts, they all fail.

I purchased my 2007 nissan quest se january of 2014 and after about a year of ownership, the van started to make the now infamous timing chain rattle noise upon cold starting the van. It would eventually go away after 10 minutes or more, but its really annoying to have to listen to this loud noise every time i start my van, and nissan should be held accountable and offer a free permanent fix to this problem.

Transmissions gear slips and jerks unexpectedly. You never know when it will jerk when accelerating. Will probably need to rebuild the whole transmission that will cost plenty. Also dangerous for my family to drive.

Rattle noise when started and a celebrate timing belt issues

It was a noise coming under the car we take to mechanic .they told me timing chain is loose don't drive like this it is danger 3500 dollars to fix it . We take it to the nissan they saidthe same . Asking lotsof money to fix it . This problem is manufacture fault but seems like they don't care. No more nissan for me i haven't finish payment yet

Timing chain and tensioner began to fail around 105,000. Cost to replace was 2166.57. I was under the impression that timing chains were supposed to last longer than that amount of time.

Driving approximately 45 mph, and engine stalled and cut out.lost power steering and power brakes. Needed to make evasive moves to avoid accident and get off road.car ran out of gas.dashboard fuel gauge said 1/4 tank of gas. Onboard trip display said zero (0) distance till empty, but i do not use this.i had to get assistance and 1 put less than 1 gallon gas in car. Fuel gauge did not move and still says there is 1/4 tank gas, while trip computer registered above 0 dte.this is extremely dangerous to lose control of vehicle unexpectedly. I have been driving for over 27 years and have never run out of gas and have always relied on the gauge, not the trip computer. Please investigate and let me know what i should do. This is a very dangerous situation. I had 2 kids in the car, and i am grateful my wife was not driving, as she would have been unable to steer or apply brakes in such a situation when loss of power occurs under this situation. The trip computer can be wrong, but the fuel gauge on the dash board should always be correct. Basic principle.

Loud squealing noise from secondary timing chain tensioners in engine.was told if tensioners break, timing chain would release into engine and cause a hazard.dealership fixed it- $1700 and the secondary tensioners are worn and cheap.the new ones are much different.if i had not had the squealing noise, the timing chain would have been released inside the engine.

Was driving vehicle at approximately 45 mph when the engine suddenly stalled and all power controls were lost such as power steering and brakes.car was carefully maneuvered to the side of the roadway.after a thorough inspection it was found that the vehicle was out of fuel however the fuel gauge read just little below 1/4 of a tank.it was brought to my attention via the internet that this is a common problem with this vehicle and i also believe that the situation of losing all functions of the vehicle suddenly could have caused an accident and was a threat to safety.

I made a right at a stop sign and as i was completing the turn all power to engine was lost.i had just bought the van 6 days prior to failure.my gas reading was at just below half tank.i could turn the key and the engine would turn over but not catch all the way.lost all power steering and braking systems too.very dangerous and upsetting had my children been with me.i had to have someone hood a chain to my front end to get the van out of the middle of the street.no warranty, only service contract to repair.

Around 85000 miles a rattling noise appear, it was diagnosed as the timing chain, i was told at the dealership that they have a problem with the timing chain but they do not have a recall. It cost over $2000 to repair a problem known to the nissan company and they won't do a recall.

The timing chain issue was officially confirmed. We were assured by the technician at nissan santa rosa that upon investigation we were not responsible for the wear and damage of the parts.i have a concern that there is a possibility that fraud and deception was committed which is a violation of the deceptive trade practices act (dtpa).as per the national highway traffic safety administration (nhtsa), the united states code for motor vehicle safety (title 49, chapter 301) defines motor vehicle safety as 'the performance of a motor vehicle or motor vehicle equipment in a way that protects the public against unreasonable risk of accidents occurring because of the design, construction, or performance of a motor vehicle, and against unreasonable risk of death or injury in an accident, and includes nonoperational safety of a motor vehicle. Generally, a safety defect is defined as a problem that exists in a motor vehicle or item of motor vehicle equipment that: poses an risk to motor vehicle safety, and may exist in a group of vehicles of the same design or manufacture, or items of equipment of the same type and manufacture. A technical service bulletin was issued due to the high volume of problems with timing chains. Timing chains were used in place of belts because of the supposed maintenance free quality they provided.unlike belts, timing chains are supposed to be good for the life of the vehicle.however, nissan was using nylon gears.metal on nylon will wear out and should not be boasted as 'good for lifetime of vehicle.'multiple websites and forums have posted the problems and expenses incurred with their nissan timing chain issues. The nissan technician at nissan santa rosa stated that this is why nissan switched back to using belts because so many people were having issues with their 'lifetime chains.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. While parked, the contact heard a whining noise coming from the engine. The failure also occurred while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that the noise had become louder when driving at faster speeds.the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics where the technician stated that the timing chain tensioner would have to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000.

While driving on a service road we lost engine power which made steering very difficult and got us almost hit by cars behind us.

I have a 2007 nissan quest.i have noticed a humming sound coming from the engine.i get regular oil changes and asked the service tech to see if he could also hear the noise.he said that it sounded like it was coming from my timing chain.i took it to the nearest nissan dealership service center and they confirmed that it was the timing chain.i was quoted $3300 to repair my vehicle.i also took my vehicle to another auto shop and two li master technicians were in complete disbelief that this was indeed the problem.my concern is that if nissan knew about this problem before i bought the vehicle then why is it thati will now have to put $3300 into a vehicle that i still owe $15,000 on and if i trade it in i will have about $5,000 in negative equity?i bought a nissan because i thought it would last me a long time.after we paid it off we were planning on purchasing a nissan titan but probably not now.i am saddened and disappointed that my car is only two years old and it's parked until i can afford the repair.

My 2007 nissan quest fuel gauge indicator displays inaccurate fuel information and stalled and began to hesitate because the fuel tank was empty. I took my vehicle to the nissan dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel gauge sending unit with fuel pump needed to be replaced. I contacted nissan consumer report of thefailure, and the vehicle was not repaired.the approximate failure and current mileage is 93,000.

My wife was driving the car with kids in back, at traffic signal she stopped at left lane turn left. When left green signal was given, she released brakes and couldn't move as intended. She described to me that engine was running and as if all brakes were engaged. She made slowly left turn dragging car and stopped at right side of the road and called me asking that she is unable to move the car and engine is still running.she also informed that car is at safe area of road and could able to get out and walk to kids activity school. Upon arrival at the location, couldn't start and called for aaa help. Aaa tested battery and it was okay; fuel gauge was showing slightly belowtank mark. Asked aaa to tow the car to my home as it was getting late in evening.while looking for details on internet for possible causes i noticed possibilities of wrong fuel indication. So added a gallon fuel and car started and worked normally. I am planned to switch the car with my wifeto test this car next few week for safe operation.

The 2007 nissan quest fuel gauge will suddenly report empty and the service engine soon light comes on when the tank is known to be full.the fuel pump was replaced at a cost of $750.00.within a week the same problem occurred.the fuel pump is being replaced again under a parts warranty.

The vehicle's fuel gauge in the instrument cluster has become faulty and unreliable.on numerous occasions since july of 2013 the van has lost power and has come to a stop.on two occasions this has happened at a high rate of speed in fairly congested traffic with small children in the vehicle.the gas gauge in the instrument cluster reads that there is a quarter (1/4) tank of gas when in fact the vehicle has run out of gas which, at a high rate of speed, creates a very dangerous situation.according to online posts of other '07 nissan quest van owners, nissan service centers appear to be unsure as to what is causing the problem let alone how to address the problem.this appears to be consistent with the experience i had at the local nissan service center that diagnosed our vehicle last july which is the same dealership we purchased the van new in 2007.upon diagnostics, the service center indicated that it may be the fuel level sending unit in the fuel pump assembly or a faulty fuel gauge in the instrument cluster, both or something in between the two parts.upon contacting nissan consumer affairs last july to discuss the problem with them and asking them to address the problem as part of their recall for this very same issue on the quest as well as other models of their vehicles, they declined claiming that the v.i.n. For our particular vehicle had not been recalled.if they have recalled other '07 quests or other vehicles in their lineup over this issue then nissan should stand behind any vehicle that is experiencing similar problems.the issue needs to be resolved before someone gets seriously injured or even killed.

The vehicle's fuel tank indicator has suddenly become faulty. The needle for fuel capacity showed about 1/4 gas tank full, yet my van stopped in the middle of the street. There was no gas in the vehicle, yet the indicator showed 1/4th available.it was a big inconvenience, i had get emergency help for fuel, etc.i was lucky it happened when i was in the right lane of a slow moving road that had a shoulder on the right.i was also fortunate to carry my cell phone with me at the time of that journey !i took it to the repair shop, they replaced the fuel tank, etc.the problem occured again even after the fix.the technicians pointed out to a report on nhtsa site that points to a open ticket for this model and issue.

Vehicle ran out of gas even though the fuel gauge read just below 1/4 tank and the low fuel light did not come on. ..update 04-10-14 the dealer finally replaced the fuel sending unit.updated 07/23/14

While traveling on a highway the van lost power and stopped.the gas gauge showed the tank was half full, however there was no gas in the tank.the incident happened on a busy highway, and there were children in the car.based on what i've read online - this is not an isolated occurrence.nissan has recalled cars with similar problems but not the quest model. This is a very dangerous issue and could have resulted in deaths of three people. The problem with the gas gauge has been confirmed by a nissan dealer as well as an independent car mechanic.please recall the gas gauge in nissan quest before someone dies!...updated 04-10-14

Minutes after filling my nissan quest's fuel tank, i drove onto the freeway i then observed my gas gauge drop to empty and the " low fuel " light come on as well as the check engine light.when i reached my destination and turned the vehicle off and back on again to show my brother the problem everything was normal again. A few days later i was driving home on the freeway and ran out of gas having to call the state police.there was no indication that i was low on fuel.i visited a mechanic and he told me the complexity of the fuel system and the different sensors and advised me to report this problem. On may 20th i again filled up the tank and the fuel indicator light came on as well as the check engine.

I have run out of gas twice in the last 8 months.fuel gauge reads 3/8 tank left and the computer said i had72 miles left until empty. No low fuel light indicator. Took it into a nissan dealer for them to read theservice engine light, they said needed a new fuel sensor which in turn you needed a new fuel pump which runs into lots of money.bought the fuel pump and was going to have it changed.the reading from the new fuel pump was the same reading as the old fuel pump " no change." i feel that nissan doesn't understand the problems with their vehicles . They make you spend money that is unnecessary.

The first incident, occurring in the summer of 2014, caused my 2007 nissan quest to stall/shut off and nothing worked - it lost all steering, power, acceleration, braking, etc.it just died, going approximately 15mph while veering right to turn into a shopping center.this same incident occurred about a month later, while traveling approximately 25mph (posted speed limit) going uphill at night.van just died and i was stranded on the road - lucky enough to get far enough near a private driveway not to get hit by a car, an to call for help.the fuel gauge was showing sufficient gas left in the tank, but it had run out of gas.we had put the vehicle in the shop for repair and luckily the mechanic was honest and smart and concluded that it needed fuel and the gauge was defective.luckily on both occasions, none of our three children (one special needs) were in the van.this defect left us without a second (family transportation) vehicle for several days and to incur unnecessary auto shop costs.secondly, we recently had suspension work done, totaling over $1300.00.there was apparently a recall for this, of which i was never made aware.the bolt defect was also never brought to my attention, but the rattling noise has existed since purchased used in 2011.these defects have caused potential endangerment to my family, incurred us costly shop/repair costs, and left us without a vehicle for days - highly dangerous and inconvenient, when all were known defects that should have been known to us and for which we should not have paid.

My fuel gauge read that i had approximately 45 miles left in my tank.i had a short trip to the doctor's office with my child.i planned on stopping for gas after the appointment.i made it about a half a mile and the van stalled.being that the gauge read that i had gas, i thought there was no way the van ran out of gas.after this incident, my gauge never read the fuel levels correctly again.when the gauge said it was at a quarter tank, it really meant it was on empty.i learned that during the second incident of running out of gas.my gauge now is empty at a half tank.it also randomly puts itself at empty after i know i put a full tank in.so, now i use my mileage to calculate how much gas is truly in the tank.

While traveling on ai - 94 west freeway the van lost power and stopped. The gas gauge showed the tank was quarter full, however there was no gas in the tank. The incident happened on a busy freeway, and there were children in the car. This is the 3rd time this has happened on the same vehicle. I had to call aaa to bring some gas. Based on what i've read online - this is not an isolated occurrence. Nissan has recalled cars with similar problems but not the quest model. This is a very dangerous issue and could have resulted in deaths of my family.

Our 2007 nissan quest fuel gauge will show empty and the service engine soon light comes even thoughthe tank is full. The entire fuel pump assembly was replaced at a cost of $814.62. Within a week the same problem occurred and ses light came back on. The fuel pump assembly was replaced again under a parts warranty from the work the previous week. After the second fuel pump assembly work was completed the ses light came on before i left the dealership's lot. Concern is safety related to running out of gas while on the road since the gauge mechanism isn't working.

There is no accident yet and wish not to happen anything like that.the car's fuel level gauge is malfunction since this month, december 2014 and i got a code for p0462.i found that it is very common troublesome in nissan vehicles and many of their models are in recall but not 2007 nissan quest yet. I also learned that this vehicle is under investigate for this matter. Please process it soon.

The stated mpg for my 2007 nissan quest on the window sticker shows 18 - 24 miles per gallon yet after 10 months the van only gets 17.6 miles per gallon and that is during mostly highway driving. When questioning this a dealership after waiting a few months to see if any improvement we where advised by the salesmen what did we expect for a v6 lsrge vehicle. I do not understand how they can be allowed to show higher mpg on a window sticker then what the vehicle actual gets.

I was driving at 45 mph and pressed the gas.it was early sunday morning, very light traffic.i pressed the gas pedal to accelerate and did not hear the engine respond.i looked at my gauges and the tachometer was at 0.i realized the engine was not running.i tried revving the gas pedal but nothing happened.i managed to guide my car off the road into an entrance road to a business.i put the car in park and attempted to start it.the engine turned over but would not catch.the gas gauge showed a quarter of a tank and no light was on.i called my wife and she brought a gas can.i poured it the gas.the car immediately started.i went to a gas station.the car took 19 gallons.the capacity was 20 gallons so the car was empty. I have been monitoring since.on a typical week my car is slightly under half a tank.this week my car was a little bit under three quarter 3/4 full.the trip odometer showed i had gone 174 miles.i filled up the car and it took 11.3 gallons.this indicate the tank is almost exactly 1/4 off. I was very lucky when the car stalled i could pull off safely.i have seen many post on the internet regarding this issue on this year car.what has to happen to get this addresses?this is the same problem as the frontier and pathfinder and xterra are having for the same year. They all have the same 3.5 liter engine.any one checking to see if the quest has the same fuel pump/sender assembly?the similarities are just to obvious.

My 2007 nissan quest stalled in the middle of traffic because the gas tank was empty, even though the gauge indicated that there was over 1/8 of a tank or over 2 1/2 gallons equal to 50 to 70 miles to empty.

Fuel ran out and locked steering and stalled vehicle in middle of 4 lane highway while fuel gauge showed half full tank. Nissan dealer found no fault in fuel gauge in may 28 2013, but 3 further similar incidents took place until we stopped depending on fuel gauge and refill every 100 miles.

Was traveling at 65 mph on a three lane highway when vehicle began to buck and decrease in speed.fuel gauge indicated 1/4 tank (60 miles to empty).needed to steer into shoulder lane of highway to assess the situation.determined the fuel gauge was in accurate, resulting in empty tank.

Car stalled out on the highway, with the gas gauge showing slightly less than 1/4 tank remaining in the tank.was able to coast to a stop within walking distance to gas station.tank took a full 20 gallons (max capacity), after which the car ran fine.this occurred less than two weeks after having my fuel pump and injectors replaced.nissan claims there is no connection between these incidents.now i'm wondering if my original incident actual was a fuel pump, of if i simply ran out of fuel.

Was exiting a highway and slowing to a stop.traffic began to move so i pressed the gas pedal.the car hesitated then stalled.i was in center lane and had to cross another lane of traffic to get to the shoulder with no power steering and trying not to hit brakes so i didn't unintentionally block traffic.my gas gauge showed just over a quarter tank and the mileage showed 77 miles to empty.i was able to get 2 gallons of gas and it started right up.went to fill it up at the nearest gas station and it took 19 gallons to fill.this is a 20.1 gallon tank.this was the third such occurrence with the exact same scenario.i had it addressed previously at the dealership, but was told that there was no fault found.after this latest incident, i was told the fuel sending unit/fuel pump had to be replaced at a cost of appx $750 dollars!not happy!!!...updated 04-10-14 there were no dash lights to indicate a problem. No check engine light. No low level fuel light. The first two times, i took it to nissan to be looked at, there were no fault codes. It was not until the third time, that they finally were able to see a fault code. Shortly thereafter, i did get a check engine light after filling my gas tank. I took it back to nissan for troubleshooting and they got the same fault code for the fuel sending unit. Just about every time, i fill the tank, the check engine light comes on for the same reason.updated 06/03/14

The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 67,000.

Going across the betsy ross bridge, from philadelphia to cherry hill, about 9pm to get gas as well as dinner.the engine lost power and then shot off when we were not quite half way over the bridge.there wasn't allot of traffic, so i was able topull over onto the shoulder and put my hazard lights on.tried to start the car but it wouldn't turn over.the gas gauge was at a 1/4 tank of gas.a port authority police office arrived within 10 minutes and pushed our van to the rest of the way over the bridge to get us out of the traffic as the shoulder is very narrow.got to the bottom of the bridge and coasted to a side area where we could wait for help.multiple attempts to start to the car failed.help arrived about an hour later with gas can.put about 2 gallons of gas into the car.car started right up.we went the rest of the way right to a gas station.the van has a 20.1 gallon tank.took almost 19 gallons at fill up.which means we ran out of gas even though the gas gauge said otherwise.after filling up the tank, the fuel gauge was reading full.i found nhtsa recall bulletin #10v07400.the problem is an exact match for my problem.specifically there is an issue with the fuel sender mis-reporting the gas level.found various news reports that list and do not list the nissan quest as part of the recall.

The car has been experiencing fuel gauge issues - very similar to pe14012 for the past 6 months where we could not rely on the gauge and started using the trip odometer whenever we filled up.now - the vehicle doesn't want to accept gasoline and keeps shutting off at the pump.i seems like the problem is compounding now.

My van first cuts off in the middle of the road while my pregnant wife was driving. Even though gauge indicates that the fuel was full. Then it cuts off again after the supposed fix by the dealership. Nissan had previously issued campaign id #: p5318 for this problem but as all other customers would note, this doesn't fix the problem even after taken the vehicle to the dealer. We need nissan to look into this asap. Took it to the first dealership where it spendtwo and half weeks and they couldn't figure out the problem. The second dealership now says i need to replace the entire computer and reprogram which costs thousand of dollars. This is ridiculous!

I was driving on the interstate when i loss acceleration and had realized my car had shut off.i was towing a trailer behind me and had to try to make it to the edge of the road.i was unsure of why i first because my gas gauge showed i had a quarter of a tank.i got fuel put in it and then it worked.this year i had my engine light come on and showed a problem with the fuel sending unit.i took it too the garage and had to change the fuel pump and sending unit.after fixing the fuel pump, i drove for 300 miles and my gas gauge only moved a quarter of tank down, meaning my fuel gauge is still not working.no one seems to know how to fix this problem and is unsafe if you are on a highway and lose power to your car at highway speeds.

Not sure of the milage it's been happening since before getting a notice from nissan in jan 2015..... We then went and had the vin scanned at a nissan dealership and was told it wqsn't part of the issue yet we have the issue occuring and got the notice in the mail from nissan.their advice of keeping it at 1/2 a tank doesnt work. It's been at a full tank and gauge still read as e with the light on.nissan needs to be held accoutable and fix this issue. It also makes the vehicale throw a check engine light which will make the car fail smog.

While driving the vehicle on december 1, 2012, i came to a stop at the red light. When the light changed, i put my foot on the gas pedal and it moved slightly then just coasted, (through the light) and came to a stop in the right turn lane of the parking lot. Fortunately, there were only a few cars behind me and i made it through the intersection.i tried to start the vehicle but to no avail. I called a tow truck and the local nissan dealership to let them know i was on the way. When the driver arrived, he put my vehicle on the tow truck and drove to the kroger gas island in the parking lot. He put $5 in the tank but nothing happened.at the nissan dealership i explained what happened. The invoice reads: customer states the car stalled out cause: gas gauge shorted out and stuck on 1 (that's all that printed).i had 1/2 tank of gas when this happened. I keep track of mileage and fill-ups. It took more days to correct the problem than initially discussed. They would call and let us know that something didn't work when providing a status update. Finally they told us they believe the problem to be fixed. We picked up my vehicle on december 6, 2012, and paid over $775 for the repairs.i have tried to contact the dealership (left voice mail, left message with person, and sent email) but haven't heard back yet. I believe the problem i experienced is the same as the notification/ recall campaign and 1) my vehicle should be reviewed to make sure the problem is 'corrected' and 2) a full refund to be made as this incident is in line with the documented information in the recall campaign.nissan has the paperwork to go back and confirm this repair. The nhrta action number i found is pe14012. (model years 2007-2009)

Fuel gauge said there qas 1/4 tank gas when engine stalled.had towed todealership and was told out of gas.happened again4 weeks later.

The fuel meter don't show the fuel measurement.

The vehicle stalled out and would not restart. The fuel gauge read 1/4 of a tank but the vehicle acted like it was out of gas. We put gas in the vehicle and it started. We were informed there was an investigation into the fuel gauge problem but no solution. When i looked it up online it says investigation is closed. We have been told to keep our vehicle over a 1/2 of a tank at all times but this has been ongoing for several months and still no resolution! i am not happy with nissan and this is the second problem that nissan has not stood behind and no recall at this time!

It all started with the check engine light. I had the code read and it said the problem was the sending unit so i find out you can't just replace that you need to replace the fuel pump assembly. Alright so i have a new fuel pump put in at around $700.00 dollars i had the tech reset my codes so the check engine light is off. When i go to put gas in it the check engine light comes back on same code. So basically i just spent 700.00 dollars for nothing i take it back to the mechanic and he say i don't know it could be anything. After looking into it i'm finding out a lot of people are having the same problem. I have kids and this is my daily driver i don't use my fuel gauge right now i just make sure i always have gas. I don't think it's very safe knowing there are manynissan vans out there with this same problem. My question is when is nissan going to take responsibly for this mechanical problem. Recall my 2007 nissan quest and fix this problem before someone gets hurt or killed!

Took the car in for the yearly emission test and it did not pass. It states code p0462. Had the nissan dealer also check the vehicle and it also states that the fuel gauge is not working. Check engine light is on. Nissan is not returning back my calls and i received a possible recall noticed on january 2015. I am up for the emission test again and need to get this fixed so it can pass it. My plates will be suspended if it does not pass. Also when i fill up it the fuel gauge doesn't move up to full. I am afraid i might run out of gas so i am consistently putting gas.... Updated 09/03/15

I parked in my driveway which has a slight hill.i went to move the vehicle and it would not start.the minivan was out of gas, though the gas gauge indicated 1/4 tank.the dealer quoted me $880 to replace the fuel pump assembly after diagnostics.i thought it was waaayyy too much to pay, but i had a road trip coming up and bought parts from the local auto store to reduce the cost.as with so many other complaints i've seen on the internet, the gauge did not work after the replacement.before and directly after the repair, the gauge read 1/4 tank when it was empty, so i just filled up early.since then, my routine has changed and so has the gauge.the other day i filled up when it read 1/2 tank.however, i put 16.5 gallons in the tank.this should have been below the e mark!i'm afraid my children and i will be stranded or wreck one day as i can't possible tell when i need gas.i have contacted the dealer and the only suggestion they have is to bring it back and let them look at it again.since other nissan models have been recalled for the same issue, i can't imagine that paying them to diagnose it again will help!

Beginning in february 2014 my quest, owned for less than 6 months at that date, ran out of fuel when gauge still read 1/8 of a tank remained. Low fuel light did not come on, car simply stalled out and left me stranded on the side of a busy road. This had since happened four more times in the following five months. One incident left me stranded on a freeway offramp for nearly an hour with several close calls. I find it unacceptable that a vehicle i purchased from a dealer, less than a year ago, is this unreliable and untrustworthy! i don't feel safe having my family in this vehicle!

My wife and kids were driving about 25 to 35 miles of speed all of sudden vehicle was stalled. After towing vehicle to home found that fuel guage doesn't showing the correct fuel level. By god grace nothing happened to my family otherwise it would have been accident that too narrow bridge.

Had just left work on my way home fuel gauge read just over a quarter tank of gas and hud on dash said 90 miles left til fill up.stopped at an intersection with a really sharp left turn, signaled left went into turn at about 20 mph car stalled all lights on dash lit up steering wheel and brakes became almost inoperable causing me to almost crash into several parked cars.i have 4 sons ages 3-16.what if they were in the car?or my wife or mother and that happened on the highway at 55 mph?of course i had to call for tow to mechanic costing more money.was told by mechanic to begin investigating possible recalls and or factory problems with this model make and year of fuel gauge/fuel level systems.have been looking into it for several months now and see that i am not alone in this.now my inspection time is approaching and check engine light is on due to this problem so there's no way i will pass inspection with this present.what should i do?!what is my next move?!call nissan?nissan should be responsible for this and work with customers on fixing/replacing these faulty parts.i am planning to call them asap to find out what can they do,wish me luck.

During normal driving conditions, van suddenly had engine shut down.loss of power steering and power brakes as engine was off.fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was approximately 1/4 remaining, but in fact the fuel tank was empty.this has happened 2 times causing the engine to run out of fuel, while the fuel gauge indicated that approximately 1/4 tank of gas.both occurred driving under normal conditions and caused a loss of normal operator controls as all power systems cut off when engine is not running.this is an unsafe situation to drive a vehicle being given inaccurate fuel information.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, the fuel gauge incorrectly displayed that the fuel tank was half full. The engine stalled without warning due to the empty fuel tank level. The vehicle was refueled and resumed normally. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage 152,617.

I ran out of gas on two separate occasions.both times i thought i had plenty of gas due to what the gauge said.the first time, i had my 2 kids with me and it ran out as i was going around an unfamiliar curve in the interstate. The van became very hard to steer.lucky for me i was in a lane next to a shoulder so i was able to fight it off of the road.it was very hard to stop at that point.the second time, i had 7 people in the car including my 2 kids and 4 of their young friends.this time it ran out just as i came to a curve on a road where people tend to speed. I did not have the strength to keep the van from crossing into the oncoming lane, but lucky for us, nobody was in the other lane at that time.i was able to coast off of the opposite side of the road.both times i missed very important meetings but was thankful to be alive.i have since learned to reset my mileage counter when i fill up and watch to make sure i don't push it to far, but always afraid i may guess incorrectly.i am probably filling up at 1/2 tank for fear of stalling again with my kids in the van. After the first time, i thought i received a notice about a problem with the gauge.i had my van in for service at the local nissan dealer and asked them about it.they looked it up and said they did not see anything about it.that was around 2015/03. I am tired of constantly filling up, so i am looking into how to get it fixed.that is how i found out about all the other complaints about the faulty gauge issue.

Vehicle was was showing a quarter tank of gas while driving then started sputtering around and died.

Inaccurate fuel gauge.when gauge shows 1/4 tank ran out gas.

Fuel gauge system failure.both the fuel gauge on the dash and electronic fuel gauge indicate no fuel.this problem is intermittent and causes the safety indicator light to go on.i had this checked at advanced auto.the fuel level gauge is broken.i was told that i would have to replace the whole fuel pump because the part is not sold separately.$350 just for the fuel pump.i was told that not fixing the fuel level gauge would lead to worse problems with the fuel pump.i have been dealing with this issue for a couple months now.i have failed safety inspection because the safety light is on.

My fuel guage displays an incorrect value for the amount of fuel in the tank causing the vehicle to stall.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. While driving approximately 30 mph, the fuel gauge displayed an incorrect reading indicating that the fuel tank was full when it was really empty. As a result, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was refueled and resumed normal operation. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump assembly would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 108,000.

First of all, this is related to nhtsa action number pe14012.i just got off the phone with nissan and was told that there is no program or fix available for the problem.you closed this investigation on january 13, 2015 based on nissan telling the nhtsa that they were going to do something to rectify the issue. It is now july 15, 2015, 4 months after i was told by nissan consumer affairs that they would have a fix by july. I believe that nissan lied to you to get you off their backs. Their fix so far is to tell me that i need to fill up the gas tank when it is half full.... In a day and age when every car has a red light that comes on, this is ridiculous for me to have to watch my gas gauge or mileage in order not to run out of gas when at full speed!this is a safety issue. I had the vehicle stop on my in the middle of a very busy intersection... Other cars had to slam on brakes and since i was making a turn in a space of oncoming traffic... They had to swerve to avoid me!my wife also had it cut out on her, but fortunately was just pulling into a station to fill up.please reopen this investigation to put nissan on notice. They are doing nothing. I even offered to my dealership to pay to have this fixed and they couldn't do it because there aren't parts available.nissan lied to you. Get 'em!i am going to send a copy of this to senator johnny isakson and congressmen rob woodall, tom price, lynn westmoreland, jody hice, doug collins, barry loudermilk, david scott, austin scott and tom graves. All of whom are personal friends of mine.thanks for your attention to this matter.

The fuel gauge marked 1/4 tank full but was actually empty.

Fuel gauge sensor was brought in for recall but issue still exists.dealer claims i need to pay to determine if it is still the same problem.dealer also confirmed they do not verify the recall work done was successful.all they are required to do is "put in the new parts".when i fill the tank within 5 mins. It goes back to empty on the gas gauge.the recall did nothing to solve the problem.

My fuel gauge showed about a quarter tank of gas and i was driving at about 35 mph when it suddenly stalled. Luckily there were no cars behind me and i was able to coast to the shoulder. I got the car towed to the shop . There were co check engine light or any codes. The shop after testing the fuel pump and other things figured out is was empty on gas. Once we put gas, it was good to go. This is a safety hazard. What if it happens on a busy highway where i am not able to pull over to the shoulder. I see that there has been similar complaints, but there is no re-call. Please re-open the case.

Fuel gauge goes from full to empty when it's almost full, nissan did a fuel sender campaign repair but it did not correct the problem...this happens every time i startthe car and drive just a mile or so

2007 nissan quest dash/cluster control reports incorrect fuel gauge causing multiple, out of fuel/empty fuel tank scenarios.one scenario occurred while driving at night with family and reported 1/4 tank 76 mile til empty.nissan claimed the car was out of warranty.

The vehicle has ran completely out of fuel two times with the fuel gauge reading slightly below the half tank mark on both occasions.this happened at interstate speeds of around seventy miles per hour.the vehicle, all at once, lost total power and it was very difficult to navigate it off of the roadway safely.i contacted nissan about this issue and they told me that they are aware of this problem but that there is no current recall and nothing that they can do about it at this time.my family and i may be killed the next time this happens, so no rush nissan.this is a huge safety risk that needs attention quickly.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. While driving at various speeds, the fuel gauge displayed that the fuel level was empty and the check engine light illuminated. The contact stated that the fuel gauge would fluctuate from full to empty. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was repaired through a manufacturer's satisfaction campaign; however, the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure recurred immediately after the vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump failed and would need to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 102,000.

We were traveling on the highway when our trip odometer said that we still had 60miles to e and then suddenly stalled. We were able to pull over but had no clue what happened since it said we still have gas. We called our roadside assistance who brought us gas along just in case and after putting the gas in, the car started back up. Just this morning however 7/15/2014 my gas gauge was suddenly almost at e when the night before i was just under a half a tank.

Gas gauge read that i had 1/4 oftank of gas. I did not have any.i had to call aaa for assistance.since then, my gas gauge has not been accurate.i will need to have it serviced.

This is probably the 4th time i have stalled out i loose power steering when car stalls and i was driving in a lot of traffic.the first time it happened i was on the free way.gas gauge shows i have over a quarter of a tank the distance to empty shows that i have any where from 18-70 miles left and i stall out.after putting gas in the tank the car functions again.there is no illuminated light, no notification in the form of a sound or ding. I watch my miles but when you vary between in town and highway miles they are not always the same.i have driven 400 miles before needing to fill up and 283 miles on the odometer when tank has emptied and stalled out. I have been driving for 19 years without ever running out of gas in at least 14 other vehicles, and i have run out 4 times because of this faulty gauge in the nissan quest.very frustrating!!!

We took our 2007 nissan quest in for the recall to repair our faulty fuel gauge reading on 10/24/15 and nissan had our van until 11/13/15 and failed to resolve the issue.code p0462 for the "fuel level sensor circuit low input" is still active an.d our fuel gauge still does not work.nissan claims to have replaced the part stipulated in the recall, but replacing that part failed to resolve the problem.after our quest spent 21 days at nissan to have our fuel gauge recall fixed we were informed we would have to pay to resolve the issue.we took our quest back to nissan on 12/28/15 to have the issue of the faulty fuel gauge resolved.we were told to replace the fuel pump to make the fuel gauge work.the cost of the fuel pump is over $500. And does not include labor charges.after nissan replaced the fuel pump our fuel gauge still does not work, and we run the risk of running out of fuel.now we are told we must replace the instrument cluster to resolve the problem.the cost of the instrument cluster is over $300. Plus $35. To program it, and does not include labor charges.why should we be responsible to pay over $1,000. To have an issue fixed that is covered by a recall?why should i pay for the replacement of a fuel pump if the fuel pump did not resolve the faulty fuel gauge reading?i would like to government to investigate why nissan is not resolving problems covered by a government recall.

Car did not start when showing 1/4 tank left. It was late at night and we figured the fuel pump was bad, so we towed it home. As a last resort before bringing it into the shop, we poured 1 gallon of gas into it the next morning and it started right up. 2nd time this has happened.

Fuel tank gauge never moves from the e position. New fuel sending unit installed and doesnt change gauge.

I was driving minivan back home with my daughter after her dr.'s appointment. My fuel gauge was showing that i have close to 120 miles to empty the tank. All of a sudden my van lost the engine power and started shaking and finally completely stopped after few hiccups. I was able to move it in the middle turning lane as soon as it started shaking and i realized a problem. This saved me and others from being in an accident. Also, i was at a lower speed and going up hill and that helped me manage to move in the middle without causing an accident. If i had on a highway and running at a highspeed, i would have caused a big accident involving many vehicles. I found out that may gauge wasn't reporting the fuel properly and i ran out of fuel. When i put some gas from a can, i was able to start the vehicle. Since that day, my fuel gauge is not accurate. I have to keep my gas filled up just to avoid any such happening again. I have also experienced that since i started having this problem my vehicle also started engine power loss at lower speeds. At times, it looks like the engine is going to stop and then it will get a big jerk and start to move normal. This kind of behavior is not normal and may result in a unsafe/dangerous condition on the road. This a problem with the gauge/fuel system or may be the computer itself that should be addressed and should have a recall on it.

The problem has occurred three times. The first time i was driving and the vehicle lost power and the motor quit while driving in traffic on a 4 lane highway. I coasted the nissan quest off of the 4 lane highway and onto the shoulder of the road. Once stopped i turn the ignition switch off and then on again. The amps were good, the fuel gauge was above 1/4 tank. I tried to crank it but it would not start, as if it was out of gas. The fuel display showed 70 miles to empty. Fuel was acquired, put in the quest and it cranked up. The 2nd incident happened the same, with fuel gauge showing 1/4 tank & the distance to empty was 68 miles. I was left stranded on a roadside again. The third time was the same as the first two times. I wasn't stranded the third time because i now have to drive with a filled portable gas can in the cargo area. I contacted nissan north america & even though there is an agreed voluntary recall for this same problem with the 2007 nissan quest, i was told that my 2007 nissan quest was not recalled for the confirmed problem.

I was driving on an interstate highway at about 65 mph when my van started decelerating. I tried pressing on the gas, but the van would not pick up speed. I pulled over to the shoulder and the van rolled to a stop and would not start again.i did not know what the problem was and had it towed to a repair facility. The problem was that i ran out of gas even though my fuel gauge showed that i had one-quarter of a tank. I checked online and see that there have been other complaints with the same problem.

While driving the vehicle engine suddenly cut off and stopped running. Had vehicle towed to nissan dealer and was told fuel pump had to be replaced costing $1163.31. Then on december 15, 2014 while driving the vehicle stalled. Had fuel delivered and started right up, the fuel gauge indicated 1/4 tank left when it stalled. Once filled i monitored usage and concluded the gauge is off by 1/4 tank or more. Tried to have this covered as part of the pervious repair but they could not commit that this was part of the previous repair. Then in january i received notice of the fuel gauge recall pe14012. When i called the dealer they indicated my vehicle vin was not shown to have a problem even though i have exactly the described problem.i have just received notice that this now a known problem and to call the dealer to schedule fuel gauge repair. How many others have had a similar failure which i believe is an extended part of this recall. The initial repair should be part of this recall and any charged paid for this should be refunded.

Fuel gauge, read approximately 1/4 of a tank.car began to sputter and buck, as if the car was out of gas.nearly got into a multiple car accident. Luckily able to pull off the road and get car into a gas station.put gas in the car, ran fine, but gas gauge is still innaccurate

The gas gauge is saying that there is over a quarter of a tank and the vehicle runs out of gas.this was happening occasionally.now, it is happening more and more.now, i feel that i must fill up every few days so i am not left stranded again.first time, close to home.second time on my way to work on a major highway (very scary).third time, close to home again.i was told that a recall was to happen over the summer of 2015 but can not find any information about it.

While driving our car suddenly stalled causing our van to stop in the middle of traffic.we were almost hit twice while sitting there as it was a busy road.the gas gauge showed over a 1/4 of a tank and the display fuel economy screen said 57 miles remaining in the tank, but the tank was completely empty.we have ran out of gas twice because of this.the gauge stops moving down at the same spot each time and the display showed different miles remaining both times (57 & 110 miles).we had the fuel pump replaced as this was the only thing the mechanic could think was wrong with it.not safe stalling and having no where to pull over.

The contact owns 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that the fuel gauge was providing incorrect reading levels. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was previously repaired under a manufacturer customer satisfaction campaign for the fuel level gauge system. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,000.

The fuel guage is malfunctioning.i have run out of gas while driving the vehicleon several occasions.i have replaced the fuel pump and fuel sensor and the issue is still present.the vehicle ran out of gas in motion on a busy street, then on a busy exit ramp, onceon interstate 695 in baltimore.the vehicle was nearly hit by traffic behind the vehicle when it ran out of gas due to a faulty fuel gauge.

Fuel gauge stopped working, backup sensors stopped working, and alot of electrical issues.

My wife was driving her car and it said she still had 1/4 a tank of gas but as she was driving it ran out of gas even thought it was showing the tank as 1/4 filled.we took it to the dealership and the told us we needed to get a new fuel pump and it would be $700.they told me they had never seen this problem before.i don't believe them and i should not have to pay for a new fuel pump for an obvious defect.

In april 2012 the nissan quest stopped in the middle of traffic - the nissan dealership diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced along with the sensor - charged $694.00. On july 8th the car stopped and the fuel gauge indicated a half a tank of gas. I put gas in the car but the gauge did not move. In researching this issue there was a recall on the 2007 nissan quest because of the fuel gauge. Nissan unwilling to repair vehicle.the first time this occurred it was very dangerous, vehicle stopped in the middle of a busy road - police had to be called to get my wife and daughter out of van until vehicle could be tolled. Nissan states my vin # is not one of the recalled 2007 nissan quest vans. If you have a recall all vans should be covered and how do they get to pick and choose which ones.

I've ran out of fuel about three times, the fuel gaugewas reading 1/4 or more of fuel. About the third time driving around 30mph, my quest ran out of fuel but again, it read a 1/4 full. This time the quest become very hard to control to get out of the road. I called my mechanic, he sent a towing truck, and diagnosed the quest with a bad fuel pump. He repaired costing me about $880.00. He also mentioned that the pump went bad due to running out of fuel several times.around november 2014, nissan sent me a letter notifying about the fuel gauge malfunction and display and accurate fuel level reading. No crap, wonder why i was running out gas constantly and getting a bad fuel pump costing me $880. I called nissan demanding a refund for replacing the fuel pump, after going back and forth they denied my claim.i think is time to start a class a lawsuit due to unnecessary fuel pump cost and near crash misses.

Same as most others on here, we were driving and the vehicle ran out of gas. Gas gauge read just over quarter of a tank, yet was actually empty. We do our best to get it filled up at a half tank, but this is the third time this has happened in a year and a half. We've gotten two letters from nissan informing us of the issue, but it's starting to appear as though nothing is going to be done to fix this safety issue. Hopefully someone doesn't have to die to get them to stand behind their product. Obviously there's a defect.

Driving car w/ approximately 1/4 tank shown on fuel gage and car stopped. Tried to start and car appeared to not have any fuel. Filled tank with fuel and car started. Happened again on 2 more occasions, each team seeming to stop with higher level on fuel gage. Problem appears to be getting worse.looked for recall on this item and identified problem on numerous other nissan models and several complaints from other customers not covered by recall.

While driving my 2007 nissan quest i pulled up to a stop light and the engine died.it would not turn over and start again as if it was out of fuel but the gauge still showed 1/4 tank of fuel.i had to have a st. Louis police officer stop traffic downtown so i could push my quest off of the road.he then took me to get fuel in hopes that was the problem.i put fuel in it and it started right up.then the very next day the gauge shows the van is completely empty but it is totally full.it then starts working again then quits then starts working again and the "drive until empty" gauge is all over the place.when the fuel gauge does start working it is never consistent.

I was driving 65 mph on the freeway, when suddenly my vehicle lost power.i was able to coast to the side of the road, but was partially on the freeway still since i was on an uphill incline. My gas gauge showed 1/4 tank. This was the 3rd time in 2 months that i ran out of gas when my gauge still showed plenty of gas. The first time, i was towed to a repair station , only to be told that i was simply out of gas. This last time was scary since i couldn't get safely off the road.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. While driving 50 mph, the engine stalled. The contact stated that the vehicle was re-fueled and able to restart. The contact mentioned that the fuel gauge displayed 1/4 of fuel prior to the vehicle stalling. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the fuel pump and the fuel pump relay needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000. The vin was not available.

The vehicle fuel gauge and trip meter both show that i have significantly more fuel than is actually the case, causing me to be stranded beside the road with no gas. This fault has caused my wife and my daughter who was a small child to be stranded on the side of the road in precarious situations. I reported the problem to nissan but they blew me off. I told them that similar vehicles had been recalled but they said that my vehicle wasn't included in the vehicles that were affected.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that the fuel gauge indicator displayed inaccurate information and as a result the vehicle stalled and began to hesitate because the fuel tank was empty. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel gauge needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 92,000.

On august 20, 2014 while driving back from va to md on i495, our 2007 nissan quest began to stalled and then the engine shuts off completely while we were in the middle of this highway. Luckily, there weren't much traffic and we were able to pulled over to the emergency lane with the vehicle's momentum. We also notice the steering wheel began to stiffen up where it was becoming difficult to steer.at which time, we also notice that the fuel gauge had about 1/4 of a tank of fuel left and the display on the dashboard had indicated 72 miles left before empty.upon coming to a complete stop on the emergency lane, we tried to restart the car several times, but it wouldn't start.after a couple of tries, the fuel gauge suddenly dropped to e (empty) and the dashboard monitor displayed all stars (*****) which indicates empty fuel.after waiting for 1 hour, my friend came with his car and we went to a gas station and bought a container with 2 gallon of gas which we put it into the our quest.at which time the car started normal and we were on our way.this was a very frightening and dangerous experience for us. Since the incident, the fuel gauge has been acting up and giving us false readings.just last week when we filled up our car, the fuel gauge was displaying empty.

My fuel gauge would say that i had over a quarter tank of gas and out of nowhere my van would shut down. No warning, no anything. This happened a few times. I got a recall letter in the mail about my fuel sensor and to keep a half a tank in it until i could get it fixed.i took my van to a nissan dealership and they replaced the fuel amp meter (part no. 24819-zm70a).i was told that everything was good, but not even two days later at a quarter of a tank of gas my van shut down with no warning. I didn't even have power steering to help me guide my vehicle safely to the side of the road. My van started idling roughly and not acting like it had before i took it in for the recall. I took the van back up to the dealership that fixed my recall and they stated that the sensor is fine and now i have to replace the entire fuel pump sending unit. The entire problem has not been rectified. Now being told to spend $1000 dollars on a part to fix the same problem.

Thanks.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken in for diagnostic testing and the result was a possible misaligned crank position sensor. The contact received notification of nhtsa action number: pe14012 (fuel system, other); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The manufacturer was notified, but the contact was not offered a remedy. The failure mileage was 75,000.

While driving on a service road we lost engine power which made steering very difficult and got us almost hit by cars behind us.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest.the contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the engine immediately stalled.the contact stated that the fuel gauge reading indicated adequate fuel level when the fuel tank was actually empty. The vehicle restarted after the contact filled the fuel tank.the vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the problem and they informed the contact that the failure was under investigation.the approximate failure mileage was 105,000.

I just purchased my 2007 nissan quest in may and after a month it started dying on me as i was driving. It was out of gas but said it had plenty of gas in it. It isn't consistent either, i could have the gas gauge at 1/8 of a tank and it would still be running or it would read above 1/4 of a tank and it would be dead on the side of the road. The dte gauge says i have another 60+ miles to go when it dies. I am tired of running out of gas because my gas gauge doesn't work correctly.

Vehicle stalled on morning drive to work.over 1/4 tank of gas according to gas gauge.had vehicle towed to auto repair where they determined it was a failed fuel pump.when the removed the gas tank to replace the fuel pump the mechanic said there was very little gas in the tank. They replaced the fuel pump and charged me$736.00. When they tested theoriginal fuel pump, it operated below the manufacturers specifications.the mechanic stated that trying to restart the engine with little gas in the tank (faulty gas gauge) caused the original fuel pump to overheat.

When i fill up the fuel tank the fuel gauge does not move from end (e) to full (f) even after filling up the complete tank. It takes up to 20 to 25 minutes of driving before the fuel gauge gets to full (f) position.

Widespread transmission problems ranging from rough shifting between gears, hesitation while accelerating and sudden stops or jerking.

Traveling at a steady 25 mph on highway (conditions were slow due to inclement weather), vehicle suddenly downshifted very hard...felt like i was rear ended but wasn't...then check engine light illuminated.the engine was producing the power, but the transmission was not keeping up.it was slow to accelerate, wouldn't maintain speed uphill and downshifted hard when slowing.i headed directly for dealership and was told that my transmission had coded and required replacement.i had taken it into dealership several times previously complaining of significant power loss, hard and/or constant downshifting and loss of speed despite engine power.no problems were found until this incident.i replaced the transmission with new at a cost of just over $4700.i have put just under 2000 miles on the new transmission and am starting to have the same problem.traveling to new york on the interstate, traveling with cruise control set at 68mph.started ascending a large hill and the vehicle started slowing down.the transmission downshifted violently, engine rpm increased to almost 5000rpm but speed started dropping immediately.could not make it up the highway and maintain current speed.the valves were screaming!i pulled over and shut the car off, restarted and then started again slowly.i could not get above 38 mph without transmission reacting and engine rpm racing.once i got over the hill, the car seemed okay as long as i didn't allow the rpm to increase too dramatically.it will not maintain speed in cruise control on hills.

Transmission slipped when accelerating. Almost caused crash due to having to stop and let traffic continue because stuck in middle of road. Fluid level and color check and fine. Did this several times intermittently.

I have a 2007 nissan quest that i had to replacecontrol arm around 40000 miles and alsowheel hub don't have dates for those but 2014 my transmissionwhen put into drive would have a delay and then fall hard had mounts replace still same problem and it has been shiftinghard anddown shiftingwhen didn't need to alot. Rpm has been jumping high then catchinginto gear when diving on highwayif i let off the gas and acceleraterpm go high and fall hard i am at 76000 mileswith a family lemon trying to figure out what to do.

When you start to take off at stop sign or red light the transmission jerks an knocks when it starts changing gears . An sometimes cuts the engine off sometimes inmiddle of traffic. <my two grankids have to ride inn this poj >

Transmission has vibration(shuttering)while driving vehicle on level surfaces as well as when driving on inclines at times.vibration strong enough to vibrate inside dash area.

After purchasing this vehicle and driving home the check engine light came on the vehicle engine reved up but didn't move then it continued to drive every now and then it did this . No horn no air bags suspension then felt funny.

^ months ago tranimissin started to jerk, found online that this is a common issue with nissan 3.5 transmissions. Looked at ways people had fixed the problem. Replace 3 tranmission solinoids. Worked great for 3 months after repair today it jerked really bad and the now it will not accelerate. I have to drive in low to go anywhere because i have 5 children and this is my only car i have to pick thgem up from school and take my 100% disabled wife to and from doctors appts. This is just rediciulous that nissan knows their is an issue had thousands and thousands of complaints and yet will not do anything for the people that have issues with their cars. They will not even try give a discount on parts and labor for the people that have these issues.

I bought my nissan quest 2007 se in may of 2012.. From a dealer... After 2 months of owning my vehicle i started to notice that the front suspension would always rattle... Or fell like something was hiting.. So i took it back to the dealer and said it was the suspension so he sent me to his mechanic.... After about 2 days with out my vehicle...they called me to say everything was good ... It did the same thing a few week later..... At this time i noticed the the steering will was getting stiff so i had it checked the oil and yes it was a little low.. So i added power steering fluid... As i was headed to the highway at about 55 mph the steering wheel was so hard to turn to the right off highway lane... So i decided to turn back to town..... I headed to the gas station as i pulled up to a pump it sounded like a burst and all the oil started leaking... I did have this part changed as the dealer again said they did not fix this problem...i had a mechanic change the so call part..,, but my minivan has not changed at all the power steering is the same ... Having difficult steering,,.,, its almost my 3rd year in may and i have not been able to know what the problem is... As i am still paying it off....i had a friend tell me to file a report and as i dont know what else to do ..i did google and i have found other people say they have the some problem... Please let me know what else i can do or is this a manufacture problem...

Transmission is failing on this 2007 nissan quest. Surges, drops, delays in acceleration creating very dangerous situations on the road. This is apparently a common issue with this vehicle.

I being having this problem a couple months already. Everytime that i drive my nissan quest for a while the gears start slipping. Before and after i make a stop it's like somebody hit me in the back.

While driving, the transmission started jerking and more often than not slams into gear.makes an awful banging noise when this happens.losing trans fliud, seems like we are going through jugs of fluid.also had a coolant leak, even after having new radiator installed, still smell coolant and it's been a whilewhen the care is being checked, mechanic can't seem to replicate the problem.very frustrating and scary when you're driving. Happens more so when highway driving or if the car has been running for some time.

Transmission failure at 80000 miles. Jerking etc. Started earlier around 75000 miles. Ridiculous. Please alert me to any class action suits.

Transmission slips between shift. And shutters at times and has a bad vibration when accelerating. The vehicle on has 110000 miles and has had trouble since it's had right at 105000. I'll never buy another nissan and now we are having ac problems.

Van started to develop a jerk when shifting from park to drive after vehicle has warmed up.was told it needed motor mount and spent $2300 at nissan on friday 11/30/12 to have several repairs including the front motor mount.no jerking after work was done until sunday , 12/2/12.on monday 12/3/12 after driving my children to school, i put the vehicle in park to open the power side doors to let them out.when shifting back into drive the vehicle jerked violently and lurched forward about 2 feet.i did not hit the vehicle in front of me but had there been someone walking between the front of my vehicle and the back of the vehicle in front of me, i probably would have hit them.i don't think it is a major safety issue but there could be a hazard if the vehicle jerks forward at the wrong time.after researching online tonight i found that this is a known defect in the nissan altima, maxima, and quest vehicles that utilize this transmission.there is a class action lawsuit against nissan for continuing to allow the defective transmissions to be utilized after they were aware of the problems.see website (http://www.chimicles.com/nissan-transmission-failure-altima-maxima-and-quest-vehicles).there is also a website with owner's comments on having the same transmission failures totaling over 150 victims, see website http://classactionlawsuitsinthenews.com/class-action-lawsuit-complaints/nissan-maxima-altima-quest-automatic-transmission-class-action-lawsuit-complaint/#comments.nissan refuses to issue a recall or any assistance with the defective transmission.some have been replaced just to fail again in less than a year.a transmission should not fail at 65,000 miles as several have or last less than a year.nissan needs to be held accountable.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest.when the contact attempted to adjust the passenger side seat, her fingers met exposed metal.as a result, she sustained cuts to her fingers.as of october 22, 2007, the dealer had not inspected the vehicle.the current and failure mileages were 3,000.

2nd row driver side seat has now had the recline lever broken twice. Both times i tried to lay the seat down flat so that i can utilize the cargo area and both times the plastic lever moved up in the correct direction but the seat wouldn't recline.the first time that this happened the seat back was already folded and i had to take the vehicle into the dealer so that i could use the seat for passengers.the second time that this happened the seat was open already and i attempted to fold it for cargo usage.

Driving with cruise control on highway. Moved feet to under knees position to relax. Loop behind right running style shoe got hooked on seat slide lever. Had to use left foot to brake.

Abs and traction control system failure. Abs actuator fails to properly engage upon starting vehicle. "abs", "tcs off", "slip" warning lights all illuminated at start of vehicle. Abs actuator makes pronounced noise (pumping but not accumulating necessary pressure) at start of vehicle.

Sudden onset of rattling noisewhen vehicle goes over bumps and during braking.took to firestone and was told one of the caliper screws was missing and the remaining three caliper screws were loose.this defect can cause the brake not to function.

"takata recall". Safety and performance is needed on brakes electric is issue. Brakes seems very ware and ......

Our vehicle 2007 nissan quest was purchased new. It has less than 50,000 miles. We are already replacing brake pads and rotors. We have had some electrical issues recently with the windows not always working. The battery had to be replaced at 30,000 miles.we have never experienced problems like this with a vehicle this new or that we paid this much for. Have there been problems like this reported?

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the speedometer abruptly displayed a reading of 45 mph. The anti lock braking system and tracking control system lights also illuminated during the failure. The contact maneuvered to the shoulder and shut the vehicle off. Upon restart, the contact was able to safely drive the vehicle to an authorized dealer. The contact was informed that the anti lock braking actuator and wheel bearings needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 87,000. The consumer state the brake actuator was replaced.

2007 nissan quest brake/rotor issues. Brakes and rotors are wearing rapidly at very low miles. It happened at 45,000 miles and again every year since. Even after having brakes and rotors resurfaced a few times. Continuing problem. Dealer thinks may be driving habits, but device placed on car to track driving behavior by insurance company shows no hard braking. Possibility that this vehicle has similar rotor/brake problem due to weight of vehicle or improper cooling like titan truck did early on. A rear end collision my wife had in late 2009 may have been related to the this problem. Several hundreds of people have same type of problem on internet vehicleproblem sites.

While braking, especially when braking at highway speeds:' a steering wheel shake,' body vibration' brake pedal pulsations .

I bought my 2007 nissan quest in april 2008 with only 26 miles on it. I noticed within a couple months that when going over 30 miles an hour the brakes did not engage right away and i had to pump them once or twice to get them to work much like my 20 year old car when i was a teen. In sept 08 i was in an accident when driving 35 miles an hour with a good 5-6 car lengths away when the car in front of me suddenly stopped and i could not stop. There was not enough time to pump the brakes and when i pushed hard on the brake it went mush all the way to the floor. I ended up hitting the car in front of me hitting my head and getting a concussion. I was out of work for 2 weeks, had over $6,000 damage to my van and over $4,000 damage to the car in front of me who then hit the van in front of it and caused $3,000 damage to it. In total 4 people were injured i was injured the worst and spent the night in the hospital. When the body shop sent my van over to the nissan dealer to check the brakes they said they reset the abs and they seemed fine. I talked to them and asked where they tested the brakes their answer was in their parking lot and around the block. I asked them to drive with me over 35 miles, they refused and said the brakes were fine. Since that time i have had to drive 10+ car lengths behind everyone to make sure i have time to pump the soft brakes. If i had the money to eat the cost of buying a new van when i still owe so much on this one i would be doing it now.

I was traveling down a 6% downgrade on a freeway in my 2007 nissan quest. At the time (jan 2008), the vehicle had about 15,000 miles on it. I was continuously braking to keep the vehicle at a safe speed. As i was braking, the brakes began to pulsate. The pulsations got louder and more aggressive as we continued down the downgrade, to the point like if felt the brakes were about to fail. Soon after, in january 2008, i brought the vehicle to the nissan dealership in bellevue, wa. They acknowledged the problem with the front passenger brake rotor was warped. They resurfaced the rotor.at 9 months later, and at 25,000 miles (oct 2008), the pulsations started to reoccur. I brought the van to the same dealership, and this time they replaced the same rotor they resurfaced 9 months earlier.again at 35,000 miles in july 2009, the pulsation problem returned again. I brought it to united nissan in las vegas, but they refused to address the problem, citing normal wear and tear on the brakes.finally, in october 2009, i brought the brakes to a brake specialist. The specialist stated that the front passenger brake, the same brake that had continuous rotor warping, was defective due to a faulty brake pin causing sticking between the caliper and pad, which was the root cause of all the warping and pulsations.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that the abs, traction control and slip warning lights were illuminated and the vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer advised that the abs actuator pump motor had failed. The service department was called and stated that the failure was unusual but could have been caused by heavy snows and moisture. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 74,884 and the current mileage was 75,480.

Thanks.

Driving with cruise control on highway. Moved feet to under knees position to relax. Loop behind right running style shoe got hooked on seat slide lever. Had to use left foot to brake.

I have a 2007 nissan quest i bought new. It has rear sonar as one of the options and due to the size, shape and blind spots it is needed. I noticed with 35000 miles that the rear sonar was inop- since i bought it for my wife, i was unaware it was inop for a while. It was not covered under warranty because i have owned it for 37 mos. After some research it appears it is not only common in all years of the quest but the titan as well. The problem is a defective aural buzzer. When you have a fault somewhere in the system the off light should come on letting you know the system is off- however, it illuminates sporadically and what you think is a working system is really not- i have talked with people who were unaware the system was off until they backed into something causing minimal but expensive damage. I am an aircraft mechanic and cannot see how there is not a recall on the buzzer- when backing up looking behind you and using your mirrors there is a huge blind area in the back of the van that is caused by the gradual increase in the slope of the body panels. My concern is that it is a matter of time before someone gets injured. The problem is that nissan uses a defective buzzer that they know will fail- it is a cheap fix for the dealers however for the consumer it would cost upwards of 400 dollars for a buzzer that can be purchased at radio shack for 5 dollars. I replaced mine with theoriginal nissan part that cost 60 dollars and find it offensive they have not voluntarily fixed a problem they know exists- it is safety related and as someone who fixes jets for a major airline, safety is first and foremost along with a reliable, dependable product. This should be a recall. Thank you

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact noticed thevehicle was not designed to store a spare tire when she had toreplace the vehicle flat running tires with normal designed tires. She had to place the spare tire behind the rear seat which she believed was a safety hazard. The manufacturer was contacted and they advised that as a design defect, the vehicle was not designed to hold a spare tire. The manufacturer did not provide any further assistance. The failure and current mileages were 32,000.

Severe sub-frame rot only on passenger side.brought to my attention during routine maintenance, and was told this was a very common issue.driver side appears fine.appears a/c drip is suspect, and the frame just rots directly below it.online search revealed numerous exact complaints.all other components are solid.how is this not a safety recall?

My 2007 nissan quest rear driver side sliding door is defective and not shutting properly.it is over traveling and hitting the b pillar metal on metal and now is rusting out.i do not feel it is safe and have brought it to two different nissan dealers.they state the door is with in nissans specifications but when i ask for the details of said specifications on the door they state there is not one.i have called 1800nissan1 and asked for a specification but they can not provide one either.i need the defective door corrected as this is a safety concern and i will not let my family ride in the vehicle until this is repaired or proven to be with in specification.

My vehicle was t-boned on the left driver side. The front quarter panel and rear quarter panel was damaged. The left wheel and tire rod was replaced. The tires were replaced but every since this accident i have had severe issues with my front end steering and rattling noise. I cannot drive over bumps without my front end feeling like it shifts and i cannot turn curves over 20 mph or else it begins to shake extremely bad. I have had multiple work done and it keeps doing the same thing. It is definitely not safe to continue driving with my kids in it but its all i have. I cannot exceed 30 mph on a straight way without the vehicle shaking vigorously.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that the driver's side rear sliding door could not be opened, closed, or latched. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for the failure. The dealer advised that failure was intermittent therefore they were unable to correct the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000 and the current mileage was 110,000.

During cold weather the back, sliding, doors freeze shut.it takes a very long time for them to "defrost" and be opened.additionally, i have a small child in a carseat and i need to climb through to the back seats from the front to buckle them in.lastly, when the doors do finally thaw the "door ajar" light comes on and i need to pull over and open/close it.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, the front end of the vehicle vibrated violently. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The details of the repair were unknown. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 185,000.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, the subframe detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The contact was informed that the subframe needed to be replaced. The contact called the local dealer walser nissan wayzata (15906 wayzata blvd, wayzata, mn 55391, (612) 426-6995) and made the dealer aware of the failure. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,500.

The contact's spouse owns a 2007 nissan quest.the contact stated that the automatic and manual sliding doors will not open or shut sometimes on cold days.when the doors do open, they will just stay propped open from the back.once the vehicle warms up, the doors will open and shut properly.the vehicle was taken to a dealer approximately four times, but they could not duplicate the failure.the current mileage was 11,503 and failure mileage was 10,162.

While driving down the local road, a loud vibration from the right power sliding door can be heard.. Its very loud! it also made the gas pedal shake a little bit.. 2007 nissan quest s 86500 miles..drivers side window gets stuck while going up, also doors wont open all the time.

While driving home from work, my front passenger wheel snapped off of the control arm. Because i was doing 50 miles per hour it also ripped the axel out of the engine.i have been told it was due to a weak weld. Is this a manufactures defect?

I have a 2007 nissan quest that i had to replacecontrol arm around 40000 miles and alsowheel hub don't have dates for those but 2014 my transmissionwhen put into drive would have a delay and then fall hard had mounts replace still same problem and it has been shiftinghard anddown shiftingwhen didn't need to alot. Rpm has been jumping high then catchinginto gear when diving on highwayif i let off the gas and acceleraterpm go high and fall hard i am at 76000 mileswith a family lemon trying to figure out what to do.

I being having this problem a couple months already. Everytime that i drive my nissan quest for a while the gears start slipping. Before and after i make a stop it's like somebody hit me in the back.

My nissan quest has a front end suspension problem. When i'm driving and hit a bump on drivers side it pulls my wheel to the left and rattles very bad. I was looking online and seen that there is a recall on some 2007 nissan quest that explains exactly what is happening to mine. I called and they told me i don't have any recalls under my vin . I got it checked and the guy said he could not see anything wrong with it. The recall is for a bolt in the front suspension to hold it to the frame. It says that some of the vehicles suspension bolt my not be torquedproperly. So if possible please look into this because i don't want my front wheel to fall off while driving. Thank you!

There is a rattling noise somewhere in the front of the vehicle (apparently in the wheels).also, i noticed some vibration in the steering wheel.there seem to be some electric failure as sometimes the a/c don't work (when that happens you have to turn off the vehicle and then turn it on again for it to work).

I purchased new a 2007 nissan quest se with the michelin pax run-flat system in december 2007.this car's sticker price was over $41,000.it now needs new tires at 32,000 miles.with this system, there is only one tire that can be used, and very few dealers carry it.only one shop in my city can work on this rim/tire combo--the honda storethey refuse to help because they work only on hondas.i was advised by michelin i need to travel to alliance, oh to have new tires installed on my van, a trip of 70 miles or one hour.i was told by this shop that the tires need to be ordered, they take 5 weeks to get in, and they would cost $1,550 for a set of four installed.while i feel the price is terrible, my real concern is the 5 week delivery delay.what do i do if i am 700 miles from home and suffer a blowout with my family inthe car?do i leave the car on the side of the road or at the repair shop for 5 weeks waiting for a tire to be shipped in?i have asked nissan north america to provide 4 regular rims, a spare, and a jack so that i can convert the car back to regular tires as i no longer feel waiting 5 weeks for a tire to be shipped in is a safe alternative for my family.they refused.i then sent a letter and asked them to answer my question as to what i am to do when stranded by a blown pax tire 700 miles from home.they again reiterated their position that they could not help with the "repairs" to my vehicle, and they failed to answer my question--ignoring it entirely.i am currently converting the van over to regular tires and rims at my expense, but i still will not have a jack or spare tire/rim.nissan misrepresented this system when i purchased this car.they extolled the virtues of safety and reliability for my family.this is simply untrue.this system is a nightmare, and they have refused to help their customers who purchased what amounts to a very high-end vehicle--one of their most expensive, in fact.they need to own up to their mistake.

Our tire went flat.we found out a "special" dealer had to repair/replace the tire & there was no spare due to us having "run-flat" (michelin pax) tires.we got a list of the only 3 dealers around our area that are certified for these tires but when we called them they tell us these tires have been discontinued. No big deal except we find out this ru-flat tire is the only tire that can fit on this rim!!& this rim is the only rim that can fit on this van!! what!!!!!!!!!!! so i have a flat tire & now my van is immobile & irreparable!

Takata recall.... Transmission is jerking uncontrollably. When it snaps into place it feels like you've been hit by another car. This has been going on for 2 months. This happens when shifting into another gear or while driving.

While driving the transmission will slip, the rpms will rev when accelerating and the trans will jerk into gear when in lower gears, it is now having trouble accelerating all together.

Was coming up to a traffic light going approximately 45 down to 0 per miles an hour and was slowing down and had foot on brake and the the accelerator was still engaged and had to put my 2007 nissan quest to neutral then into park in order to stop vehicle. The next day we took to the nissan dealership and they said they checked everything but could not duplicate the problem therefor nothing was done. Please look into this problem this is a huge safety issue.

My a/c is running while itsince turned off i tried disconnecting the battery to reset it nothing works also when i drive the quest at high speed and try to stop the front end of the car shakes while i'm slowing down

When driving the car engine sounded as if it was going to fall out of car found out the engine mounts were all broken and needed to be replaced.replaced all the mounts and the car still jerks hard when driving and loses power sometimes and will rev very high when driving for no reason at all. Took car back to mechanic and was told had to replace transmission mounts after already replacing mounts for over 900 dollars.

Transmissions gear slips and jerks unexpectedly. You never know when it will jerk when accelerating. Will probably need to rebuild the whole transmission that will cost plenty. Also dangerous for my family to drive.

On this date our 2007 nissan quest van, while stopped at a stop light surged to over 3500 rpms (this is an estimate because i did look at the rpms until after the peak of revving).i stood on the brakes and kept the van from moving into the intersection, then shoved it into neutral.the engine came back to normal rpm range.on 2/9/07 i was stopped at a stop sign and the van once again surged, this time i noted it went over 5000 rpms.i jammed on the brakes and kept it from moving into on coming traffic.i shoved it into neutral again avoiding an accident, the rpms returned to normal range.i made the dealership aware of both incidents and had it into service both times.they found nothing wrong and made no repairs.we then called nissan customer service and lodged a complaint. A factory technician inspected the van on 3/19/07.he found nothing wrong, made no repairs and declared that the van was fine.we will not drive the van and my wife who is disabled, is left without the use of her motorized wheelchair.we bought the van for the express purpose of using it to transport her chair.we have been without our van for over 2 and 1/2 months as of today's date, 3/31/07.thank you for any help you may be able to give.

After driving on the highway, the speedometer needle remained at 50 mph while the vehicle is stopped. When we drive, the needle moves beginning at the 50 mph mark.

Transmission is failing on this 2007 nissan quest. Surges, drops, delays in acceleration creating very dangerous situations on the road. This is apparently a common issue with this vehicle.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan quest. While driving at 30 mph, the vehicle suddenly began to accelerate. The contact shifted into neutral to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership but the dealer stated that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. The contact called the manufacturer and filed a complaint. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The current and failure mileages were approximately 26,000.

I being having this problem a couple months already. Everytime that i drive my nissan quest for a while the gears start slipping. Before and after i make a stop it's like somebody hit me in the back.

Transmissions gear slips and jerks unexpectedly. You never know when it will jerk when accelerating. Will probably need to rebuild the whole transmission that will cost plenty. Also dangerous for my family to drive.

Thank you

Car parked overnight outside.temperature in low 50s.in morning, found sunroof imploded into car.sprayed glass pieces across dash, front seats, and middle seats.glass was in chunks, safety glass like pieces, and small shards including very fine sharp pieces.a little glass around sunroof on outside but very little - mostly into the interior.

Foreign material has entered through the cowl panel air intake during operation of the front heater and/or air conditioning system, resulting in a build-up of material in the plenum. This has lead to noise and strain on the air conditioningfan.i am concerned it could lead to ignition of these materials.

While driving down the local road, a loud vibration from the right power sliding door can be heard.. Its very loud! it also made the gas pedal shake a little bit.. 2007 nissan quest s 86500 miles..drivers side window gets stuck while going up, also doors wont open all the time.

I've been ignoring this problem since i bought the vehicle. Now it is completely dead. The problem was, everytime i tried to close the driver's side window, it automatically reopened about 6inches down by itself. In order to close it completely, i have hold up the switch for about 30sec. To 1min. I wonder if anybody else has this issue. If it is, is it still covers under manufacturing warranty.

The windshield got broken twice in not more than a week after the replacement of the first cracked cristal. The cause was the same. An small rock hit the right end of the cristal causing a crack. The sad thing is that the hit was almost unperceivable in both cases. I will contact the dealer to investigate if the windshield is not good enough to support small rock hits.

My a/c is running while itsince turned off i tried disconnecting the battery to reset it nothing works also when i drive the quest at high speed and try to stop the front end of the car shakes while i'm slowing down

While driving home from work, my front passenger wheel snapped off of the control arm. Because i was doing 50 miles per hour it also ripped the axel out of the engine.i have been told it was due to a weak weld. Is this a manufactures defect?
