While driving. The air bag deployed with out warning. Please provide any further information.

Fuel gauge is not displaying as well as the odometer and temperature- previous owners have the same issue and current litigation had been placed for same model and same or different years..air bag sensor on front seat passenger is not active but a small adult is on the seat. Similar recalls had been happening on this model but not expanding through many vin#sbrake- similar recalls had been happening on this model but not expanding through many vin#s.an accident doesn't need to happen in order to recall those car that are suffering the same diagnosis on current/approved recalls. An action must be taken.

Air bag warning light came on for a few weeks and then went off, then on again.the code read that the air bags was not functioning and the passenger front air bag was shorted out.

2004 nissan quest minivan had all side airbags delpoy while traveling 65 mph with no accident to cause the deployment.nissan has been ubable to explain the reason for deployment and has agreed to fix the van but provides no assurance that the vehicle is safe.i have repeatly asked for the cause of the errant and unsafe deployment of all of the side air bags and expressed my concerns about the safety of the vehicle.nissanis unresponsive to my safety concerns.

Car was on e with light on.put $60 of gas in approx 16 gal.car should have been full.restarted car and gas gauge stayed on e.turned car off, restarted multiple times.gas gauge moved to 2 bars.dealership disconnected battery and when reconnected gas gauge moved to full. Pushed button in rear tailgate to close tailgate door, front windows rolled up instead.stopped @ stop sign and then went to accelerate.car rpm's went up to 4.5 then acted like i had taken my foot off the gas and dropped down to below 1 and shot back up to 4 and back down to 1, and then finally kicked into gear and went forward.luckily no other cars around or could've caused accident.dealer said they could look but unless i could duplicate above listed incidences they wouldn't be able to figure out what was wrong.passenger sliding doors freeze shut in winter.kids have to climb in through the front doors.

I have nissan quest 2005 model vin no. [xxx]which i purchased pre owned in oct 2010 at that time fuel gauge shows that fuel has 3/4 tank even though i fill up,i thought it may be correctedbut now even i fill up it shows me half tank and when it reached half tank it shows it is empty. Sometime i wonder what is this while i am on road and i have to look for gas station to fill up and i if don't fill up and really empty i possibility of sudden stoppage of vehicle on road which can lead to accident.i went to forum and nissan vehicle have problem of fuel gauge and recall 2007 onwards but what about vehicle 2005-05 -06 which have same problem. I request your owner to order recall procedure for those vehicles also. When i purchased vehicle mileage was 87k.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)*ln

Vehicle lost power on highway in rainstorm. Were able to steer to side of road.upon inspection by a mechanic, we discovered the ecm (computer) to be extremely corroded.we had it replaced for $1100.00.there was no nearby nissan dealer, but the master mechanic who replaced the part did order it from nissan.they would not honor the warranty, as the part was not installed by the dealer.i visited a site, questdriver.com where i found several similar complaints regarding 2004-2006 nissan quests. Never was the warranty honored because nissan said they would not cover faulty parts corroded or rusty.many drivers cars stalled in compromising situations, as we did.there was threat of a class action suit, though i don't know the outcome.the ecm i purchased just failed again yesterday. I was approaching a busy intersection, but was able to pull over onto a side road.had i pulled out into the intersection and stalled, i shudder to think where could have happened.the same part is corroded again.it is a design flaw in the placement of the part, just under the windshield, where it is exposed to rain.nissan should find a way to shield this part from the elements and honor the warranty or replace the part at no cost.thank you.

Gas gauge n odometer reading are impossible.

I have had the van in the shop at least 4 times(~15 days)with ongoing problems which include: the windows failing to roll up when button is pushed, the gas gauge failing to register gas after filling it up, the gas meter after a half a tank never registers correctly (when light indicates no gas and tank is filled the van will only take 16 gallons and owners manual indicates a 20 gallon tank), the transmission slips, the sliding doors squeak and rattle, rear interior clamps on floor of car are rusting, idiot lights come on intermittently, the gaskets on the doors are coming off, the heated seats haven't worked in high and low, the entertainment system doesn't respond to rear av, and the air conditioner is not cool enough and it stinks. The automatic slide doors will not stop for small objects but this product was designed for families. These doors will remove a child's finger and the switch to initiate the auto slide is low, where one child can push it while another is getting in, or has their hand in the way and didn't realize their brother pushed the button. I did my own little research test,i got pencils and everywhere i placed a pencil the door closed with the pencil being snapped into many pieces and crunched up in the door. Then i tried the same thing on my friend's honda, but the honda's auto slide doors bounced off every time. Nissan only designed their doors to respond to large extremities. I have an attorney and i am going through a process for lemon law. I didn't realize the issues with the van in a few days so i don't think nissan service will resolve all these issues in 2 days with a special nissan engineer sent out from the company as part of my lemon law process. And in regards to the sliding door concerns all anyone will say is that the doors are performing the way they were designed to. So nissan designed a product for families that will remove a small hand or finger.

My wife notified me that while driving to work, our van a 2005 nissan quest 3.5 s, without warning completely shut off leaving her stranded in the middle of traffic. After a few minutes and several attempts she was able to restart the vehicle and return home. On another occasion while i was driving the vehicle around town i experienced a similar incident when again without warning the van shut completely off as i was approaching an intersection on a red light. After bringing the vehicle to a complete stop without braking assist or power steering it restarted after a few attempts.during both incidences the vehicle had a full tank of fuel and showed no indications of trouble.

The odometer just stop displaying the mileage, tempand fuel. After about 10 months the stereo stop working, when i looked around in the internet i noticed that many owners of the quest were having that problem , the console has the radio and odometer integrated.

The contact owns a 2005 nissan quest. The contact stated that the vehicle was equipped with a digital fuel level gauge, mileage meter and temperature meter on the instrument panel.the contact stated that the numbers on the different meters were erased and were no longer visible. The contact was unable to tell the vehicle's temperature or how much fuel was in the vehicle, as well as being unable to determine the current mileage. The vehicle was taken to dealer where the failure was not determined.the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and a claim was filed. The current and failure mileage was 50,800.

Sitting in a drive through break on in drive car revs up to about 70mphs. I put in park as its movong forward to nearly miss a car infront of me and i turn the car off. Now break compress to the floor.

2005 nissan quest when locking doors through alarm control, at times, the driver and passenger windows will roll down. Started to occur at 61,000 miles.tire pressure light turns on even when tire pressure is adequate. Started to occur at 51,000 miles.timing chain guides were believed to have been broken, occurred at 63,000 miles.gas gage at times will not display correct level of gasoline in tank. Started to occur at 54,000 miles.back hatch stopped working at 42,000 miles.

While driving the instrument panel goes in and out making it difficult to see speed, fuel level, temp, turning signals, rpms, and everything else necessary to drive safely. Sometimes while the panel comes back to working properly it enables the overdrive causing the engine to jolt while driving. During research i found there are too many complaints from other people that are experiencing the same issue and dealers quoting them in the 700- thousands of dollars to fix, this should be a recall and a free repair as this is a safety issue and it's affecting too many vehicles.

The first failure was a complete loss of all electrical power on the vehicle while driving and in traffic.this required a walk home and tow of the vehicle.it would start with a jump but then shortly after would completely die.the dealer diagnosed this as an alternator failure and replaced the alternator.the second failure is a periodic slipping of the transmission out of gear.the first occurance felt like slipping in snow then grabbing.we called the service department and they told us if there was a problem with the transmission an error light would appear on the dash.the second occurance 2 weeks later was a complete loss of accelearation when pulling into traffic.the vehicle was pulled to the side of the road where it felt as if it was in neutral with engine reving but no power to wheels.we verified the shift was in d and the dash indicator said "d".we looked for any trouble lights on the dash but saw none.we turned the vehicle off once and restarted with the same results.we turned the vehicle off a second time and restarted.this time the transmission engaged and the vehicle drove normally.we took the vehicle to the dealer where they test drove it and found no problem.they also found no error codes in the computer.the dealer is now waiting for technical direciton from nissan and i am waiting for a return call from a nissan consumer affairs regional specialist.

On february 3, 2008 after returning home from a trip to the grocery store, i parked my car as i normally would and engaged the emergency parking brake. After going in the house, i noticed the smell of smoke coming from under my carport. When opening the door, i found my car engulfed in white smoke coming from under the hood, the vehicle and smoke had completely filled the interior of the vehicle. I immediately got my children out of the house and called 911; the fire department came and tried to investigate what was the cause of the smoke to no avail. In trying to prevent the car from possibly sparking the house ' it took four fireman to push my car in neutral to the outside of my carport. My interior was smoked and my carpet was charred under my seat and under my children's car seat ' turns out my emergency brake cable melted along with the interior plastic, creating a spark that ignited the carpet and melted the plastic molding in my car.mr. Sanders stated that the car was fixable however he had 'never seen anything like this before' the fix he stated was to replace the emergency parking brake cable (two hour fix) however he could not tell us why this happened. Mr. Sanders stated that he would not replace the carpet nor get the interior cleaned that i had to deal with nissan corporate.melissa is now stating that nissan is willing to fix the parking brake cable, replace the scorched carpet, detail the interior and carpet and fix the harness and pay for our rental car. Melissa could not explain to my husband the function of the harness and how it relates to the possible fire, she stated that possibly the parking brake and harness were misrouted and connected thus creating a spark that melted the cable, molding, and carpet. She stated she is not sure and could not go into it technically; she also stated that she was unable to provide us with any written documentation because it is a nissan internal document.

Fuel guage doesn't show amount of gas in tank. I put gas often as possible even though at times it doesn't needs much. The odometer function on and one doesn't know what mileage on vehicle. . engine light comes on even when all check shows vehicle service is ok caused from computer malfunctions.

I've had this vehicle into my local nissan dealers service center many times for a loss of power. They had me replace the ecu, which had to be programmed, then they said that it was the catalytic converters. I bought all three of those. After that it needed to be programmed for the air/fuel ratio. Still ran the same. I brought it into a different shop, they said it had a bad throttle. My brother had one i had put in but still no power, and hesitation at acceleration and up hills, and misfires and backfires a lot. One of the codes they found for me was a timing issue. My brother has same van told me he had to replace the timing chain. I've heard a rattling and whining noise from timing area, so i looked into this further. Back in 2004 nissan issued a tsb regarding this issue telling technicians to make a "goodwill adjustment" to push back repairs of this issue until the vehicle was out of warranty. I am very concerned about this problem with my vehicle since learning about what could happen should it fail. I drive my children in that van and bought it because i thought it would be a safe and comfortable vehicle to drive. Apparently not. Nissan consumer affairs even told me that they will not cover the cost of repairs. I currently await to hear from a supervisor to give them an earful and to find out the reasons why it will not be fixed. This should be a safety recall. If catastrophic engine failure due to this happens on the highway (which we travel almost every day), this would leave the vehicle completely crippled and unable to steer out of the way of any danger. Sooner or later someone is going to be injured if not killed in a motor vehicle accident from this if not already. It's a shame nissan doesn't see the value of potentially saving its customers lives vs. The cost of making necessary repairs. It should be a recall. I'll never buy a nissan again.

The 2005 nissan quest se has severe problems with motor mounts and their faulty design which resulted in a vehicle crash. My wife went to the dollar store, this being about two months after all the motor mounts were replaced, she got in and started to back out as she pressed the accelerator the engine revved up to 3000 rpm and then jammed the transmission into gear causing it to jerk the wheel violently and bark the tires the engine is so quiet you cannot hear if this is happening it propelled the vehicle right into another vehicle parked all the way in the parking spaces behind her costing us 2000 dollars to pay for vehicle damage there could had been pedestrians around which could have been hit and killed there is over 30000 complaints online of this same problem. I urge you to please make nissan fix the defective motor mounts problems there is plenty of evidence on this our motor mounts now have to be replaced every 4 months because they keep going bad costing 1200 dollars each time they are a bad design and is urgent to be fixed because they help control transmission engagement thank you.

I purchased this van brand new and after a couple years began to hear a subtle tapping noise every so often coming from the engine. I was told its a lifter tapping and may come and go but not worth repairing because it will cost a lot of money and it really doesn't effect performance. After another year or 2 the noise got really loud and the check engine light came on. After doing research online i found hundreds/thousands of complaints about the same thing. Come to find out we all had the same issue, the timing chain tensioner was not applying the correct amount of pressure to the guide due to a defect in engine design that causes the plastic on the guide to break and slip down. This causes slack in the timing chain which in turn caused the rapid tapping noise as it struck the inside of the engine. At this point my engine will not start due to the chain jumping teeth and the timing thrown off. I am now without a vehicle. I contacted nissan and they told me it's out of warranty so too bad. This is a known serious defect with the engine that was also installed in maxima, altima, and x-terra. There should have been a recall but most likely deemed too expensive to perform. Also the issue happens over time typically between 70k-120k miles therefore most vehicles that have this problem will be out of warranty and they won't cover it. They did redesign the replacement part guide, which to me shows they knew it was a design flaw but its minimum $2000 to have repaired. Very poor way to do business but they got what they wanted i suppose.

Cadena del tienpo ase ruido fuerte

Noise, vibration and sounds indicating imminent failure of one or more valvetrain components in the vehicle's 3.5l v6 engine. Problem is known to nissan; addressed in a service bulletin in 2004. Company failed to remedy the defect, which consists of premature failure of timing chain and/or valvetrain components, including variable valve timing module and parts. The problem is currently the subject of class action lawsuit.

The van turns on but it loses speed while driving and it is very hard to make it accelerate once it comes to a stop, thought it was a transmission problem but it wasn't. Now they think it is loss of communication with computer

Sitting in a drive through break on in drive car revs up to about 70mphs. I put in park as its movong forward to nearly miss a car infront of me and i turn the car off. Now break compress to the floor.

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 nissan quest.the contact stated that the timing chain slack quide.the timing chain fixture can not keep the chain tight.the contact did not contact the manufacture.the approximate date of the faiilure was december 12, 2012. The contact have not had any repairs made on the vehicle.the milage at time of purchase was 120,000 the milage on vehicle at the time of failure121,000. Lg

While slowing down at the intersection to make a right turn, the vehicle lost power and would not drive more than 10 mph and finally coming to a complete stall after engine died.restart the engine and drove normal.it has intermittently continue to happen at random.

My wife notified me that while driving to work, our van a 2005 nissan quest 3.5 s, without warning completely shut off leaving her stranded in the middle of traffic. The engine makes a rattling noise. Dealer says timing chain guide needs to be replace at a cost of $1700.they also asked me not to drive the vehicle as it may cause the timing chain to jump in the middle of the road causing an accident and also engine damage

The contact owns a 2005 nissan quest. While driving various speeds, the engine stalled without warning. The failure occurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the crank position sensor needed to be replaced. The failure was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The vin and failure mileage were unavailable.

The transmission on my 2005 nissan quest went out while on vacation in north carolina from out of state in june of 2015. Just replaced the timing chain today 12/16/15 am losing faith on nissans reliability.

I was driving to the doctor when my van lost all power in a line of traffic all mode got hit by a truck in the rear end.do not what happened just know it is down .car has no power will not pull out or driveway

Timing chain issues . Had it repaired a second time and it seems it's still has problems. Last repair was due to broken guide and and broken tensioners. Am worried it will happen again.

I own a nissan quest 05.i got it brand new.i had it for 6 years and after 51,000 miles i was told by the dealership that i need anew timing chain.they are asking $2200.its a defect and they should cover it.

Last year, the engine stopped while driving. Dealer replaced cpu and told me rats caused the damage. Now, service engine light turns on. Searching on the internet showed that the engine control module that is mounted under the wiper gets wet, becomes corroded, and the car looses control. Who knows what is going to happen next.

The timing chain guides (teflon based material) in the vq35 engines were prematurely causing audible rubbing and banging upon start up and early warm up idle conditions. This premature wear of the tension guides is a safety hazard due to the fact that the timing chain has undo slack from early degradation of tension guides which may cause the timing chain to wear/break prematurely and without warning while driving at highway speeds. This would cause the engine to shut down unexpectedly.

Tl *- the contact called regarding a 2005 nissan quest.the contac hadmajor repairs done in december 2007.the nissan dealer took the engine apart to replace the timing belt. Since then whenthe heaterwason and the vehiclestopped the heater fan will stop working, and he heard a humming noise.once he resumed driving he heard a clicking sound on the driver'sside and then on the passenger side, then the heat will start working again.the contact stated that had not happened before therepair service.the contact stated that a mechanic at nissanlooked at the vehicle and said that it was suppose to do that.

Intermittent compressor & ac/ hvac system failure, while driving with ac on air will turn warm for some time and then get cold, sometimes can hear the compressor turn on and off. Dealer will not fix, as they state that they can not replicate the problem, service tech says oh it is a poor design and is supposed to cycle warm air.

Dt: the contact owned a 2005 nissan questandhad several problems with this vehicle, such as air conditioner compressor went out/the vehicle pulled to the left/two sliding doors vibrated while in motion/right passenger door was very hard to open and close, anddashboard made a funny noise.also, whenreaching30 mph the vehicle madeanoise and stopped.also, did this whenreaching60 mph. The back windows while open and in motion vibrated. She was afriad the windows will break. Contactchecked into the lemon law.

Consumer complaint regarding nissan quest recall for seat mechanism.the consumer stated the dealer failed to disclose the recall.the manufacturer will not correct the problem until december 2005.the consumer stated the vehicle should have been repaired before it was sold.the sound through the dvd was full of static.

This morning when i drove my 2005 nissan quest van in my garage i immediately smelled something burning. I looked to the rear of the van and saw black smoke coming from around the taillight housing. I immediately backed the van out of the garage. Suddenly flames came from the bottom of the taillight housing. By the time i could grab a fire extinguisher a hole approx. 6" in diameter had burned through and melted part of the taillight housing and the rear bumper fascia. I will contact my dealer tomorrow morning to have a tow truck sent to my house to pick the van up and have it repaired.

I had the headlight bulbs blow out a second time. And the car only has 34,000 miles on it. That is unusual.

2005 nissan quest had less than a 1/4 tank of gas and light was on.was at dealership getting brakes replaced for the 4th time.took van to gas station next door and put 16 gallons ($62) of gas in.restarted car and gas tank still read less than 1/4 and empty light/warnings still flashing.drove back to dealership, they tried to reset and ended up disconnecting the battery.once the battery was reconnected the fuel gauge showed full.this was oct 2011 with 46,000mi.it is now april and car has 55,000mi.i was unable to disconnect battery so had to continue driving with warning light.after about 20mi, gauge now reads less than 1/2 tank but tank should be reading full.there was already a recall for a number of nissan vehicles for gas gauge issues.clearly a nissan issue that needs to be recalled and fixed across the board.having to disconnect the battery to get the fuel gauge to read is not a good long term solution.also this van goes through brakes at an astounding rate.we have had to replace the brake pads front and back 4 times in the last 30,000 mi and now need new rotors.also have replaced tires 3 times.most recent mechanic said van was poorly designed with brakes and tires meant for a much lighter vehicle.

Fuel guage-odometer display-tempeture display want read correct------this is causing a problem of never knowing if the car is hot or running out of gas.i need to know how far i have driven in order to change my oil!! driving or sitting still makes no difference

The contact owns a 2005 nissan quest.the contact stated that the windows and door locks on the vehicle are defective.when he rolls up the windows, they roll back down automatically.also, the doors do not remain locked.the dealer stated that they need to diagnose the vehicle in order to locate the cause of the failures.the contact will take the vehicle to the dealer.the current and failure mileages were 58,000.

Dt*:the contact stated the automatic sliding door failed to stop when objects were in the way.the dealer was unable to duplicate the problem.the manufacturer was alerted.

The contact owns a 2005 nissan quest.on four different occasions, while driving 25 mph, the passenger side door swung open by itself.the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that the sliding door actuator failed.the contact stated that nhtsa campaign id number 04v186000 (latches/locks/linkages:doors:latch) was available for the 2004 models, which she thought should be extended to the 2005 models as well.the purchase date was unknown.the current mileage was 51,575 and failure mileage was 50,458.

I was driving to the doctor when my van lost all power in a line of traffic all mode got hit by a truck in the rear end.do not what happened just know it is down .car has no power will not pull out or driveway

Automatic transmission , rough shifting when driving the van, up shifting or down shifting,

While slowing down at the intersection to make a right turn, the vehicle lost power and would not drive more than 10 mph and finally coming to a complete stall after engine died.restart the engine and drove normal.it has intermittently continue to happen at random.

When the transmission is in drive, there is almost no power. I pulled into a car dealership to look at some used cars. The van's engine was running and the transmission was in park. When i put the transmission back in drive and pressed the accelerator,we moved forward very slowly. Low and over drive were no better, but reverse seemed fine. Forward gears have very little power.

When put in gear or stop and go jerks very hard and some times don't want to go.

The transmission on my 2005 nissan quest went out while on vacation in north carolina from out of state in june of 2015. Just replaced the timing chain today 12/16/15 am losing faith on nissans reliability.

Car started throwing out service engine codes and the vehicle will not go into any other gears and is having trouble speeding up past 15 miles per hour. Started ay 114342 miles. Occurred after a clunk sound while driving on the street and had a hard time making it up the hill to our home.

5-speed automatic transmission, when shift lever is moved into the drive position there is a hesitation and then the transmission engages into drive with a hard bang.the transmission also emits a low volume whine when the car is in motion.

While driving on the highway, the car started missing gears and was stalling. My wife uses the van for school and drop the baby to daycare. Took the car to nissan and they said it was a muffler, i fixed that and the issue was still there. They then told me it need a tune up costing $650. Didn't do it because it was too expensive. And unnecessary since i always do oil changes. Had a transmission shop look at it and told me the transmission was neutralizing. Car would not change gears. Nissan had 2 law suits against them for premature malfunction to their transmission and they refuse to fix the issue. I spent $3000.00 to get my transmission rebuilt and the issue is still here. Please help the consumers!

Dt: the contact owns a 2005 nissan quest. The vehicle moved while in gear. Whenat a small incline and takingfoot off the brake the car will roll backwards. Whenat a small declineshifting vehicle in reverse and taking foot off the brake the car will roll forwards thisoccurred approximately 1 to 2 months after the contact purchased the vehicle.took the vehicle to dealership, who said thiswasnormal, they should not worry about it, and to cover the brake as if the vehicle had manual transmission.however, this isvehicle hasautomatic transmission.

Front driver's side seat belt failed to stay fastened. The belt plate popped back out of the buckle when fastened.there wasn't anything jammed in the buckle. Dealer will be contacted.

Outer rear seat belts do not work properly.there is stitching in the seat belt that does not allow the clasp to move freely.the clasp gets stuck below the stitching and it gets stuck above the stitching.i child cannot work the seat belt properly. Once the clasp is below the stitching will it work properly in an accident?

Consumer complaint regarding nissan quest recall for seat mechanism.the consumer stated the dealer failed to disclose the recall.the manufacturer will not correct the problem until december 2005.the consumer stated the vehicle should have been repaired before it was sold.the sound through the dvd was full of static.

The consumer's complained that her children's fingers can become stuck in the door and that the third row seat can disengage.the consumer complained to the dealer but they didn't provide her with any assistance.

We received a recall letter from nissan on a seat problem on our 2005 quest [xxx] launched in october 2005. Here it is end of march 2006 and i have not been able to get the defect repaired because of lack of availability of parts for my vehicle. I have called both the local dealer and the corporate office of nissan and so far nobody has been able to tell me when the part will come in. The corporate office has not returned repeated requests for return calls. When i call i was given a file number of [xxx] and was supposed to get a call from a "specialist" named ronnie but i am still waiting. Updated 07/16/2012 information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

I own a 2005 nissan quest minivan.the 2 seats in the middle of the van have curtains on the all around the bottom of the seat.these are constantly coming undone and spread out on the floorboard of the van.they are a tripping hazard and my daughter has tripped over them and fallen out of the van and landed on concrete.according to the dealer, the only recall is on the seats in the rear which they have repaired.i was informed to contact nissan directly and they just referred me back to a dealer (the run-around!!)these curtains do not stay put and someone needs to fix them permanently before some child is seriously hurt.

The 2005 nissan quest had a recall that prevented injury when folding down the middle seats.the nhtsa campaign numbers were 05v474000 and 05v480000.after having this recall performed on my vehicle, it is now almost impossible to attach a child restraint tether to the tether anchor point.i believe that the fix for this recall has caused an even more serious safety problem than the one it attempted to fix.

The contact owns a 2005 nissan quest. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, there was a thumping noise heard when applying the brakes with the illumination of the brake, abs, and traction control warning lights. The vehicle was taken the dealer for diagnosis where it was stated that the abs module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The vin was not available.the approximate failure mileage was 54,000.

The contact owns a 2005 nissan quest. The contact stated that she would hear a cracking noise whenever she turned the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they were unable to diagnose the failure. The failure continued. The vehicle was eventually taken back to the dealer and the contact was informed that the front control arms needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that both tie rod ends needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,000.

The van turns on but it loses speed while driving and it is very hard to make it accelerate once it comes to a stop, thought it was a transmission problem but it wasn't. Now they think it is loss of communication with computer

Have a 2005 nissan quest.there is visible shaking of the steering wheel at varying driving speeds and road conditions including driving in the highway.the shaking of the steering wheel is transferred to the hand that causes severe wrist pain while driving.

Purchased vehicle on april 30, 2005, have had vehicle back at dealership 7 times due to the sunglass container leaking on the console when it rains.dealership has re-sealed windshield and this only made the problem worse.taking vehicle back for a second time to have the windshield re-sealed.attorney has been contacted regarding the procedure for the lemon law.

Dt: contactowns a 2005 nissan quest. The angle of the windshield and the color of the dashboardreflect off the dashboard, making it impossible for the consumer to see out of the windshield.the local dealer called nissan, and nissan refused toadmit that there was a problem. There was only3,000 miles onthe vehicle.

Water has leaked into the car from the area of the sunglass holder on two occasions.the sunglass holder is located in the middle right at the top edge of the windshield.on one occasion it leaked after washing the car.on the second occasion it happened during a heavy rainstorm.the dealer would not fix or investigate the problem further because their glass contractor could not duplicate the problem using a hose.

Power window in the 2005 quest rolled up on driver's head while it was out of the window.the windows have and automatic roll up feature.the consumer accidentally hit the switch while head was out the window and the window rolled up.the rear passenger side automatic door sliding door closed on the consumer's finger. The consumer as taken to the emergency room.the finger was not broken.

Dt*:the contact stated the rear sliding door was difficult to open.the contact managed to open the door by using extreme force.although the problem persisted, the vehicle was not seen by a dealer.

The consumer's complained that her children's fingers can become stuck in the door and that the third row seat can disengage.the consumer complained to the dealer but they didn't provide her with any assistance.

There is a major manufacturing flaw in my 2005 nissan quest se. There have been 2 recalls issued but do not address the evidence of missing welds in the frame. Over time there will be serious injuries. I need a new vehicle that will pass more than a recall that does not remedy the real issue of flawed consumer protection and manufacturing fraud.

The alignment adjustment bolt, the bolt that goes through the unibody, broke and dropped the a-arm section that holds the back passenger tire, onto the highway. I had three tires going straight and the back passenger tire turned in at 65 mph on the highway with sparks and swerving into the oncoming lane. We were able to regain control of the van and get it to the shoulder. For a moment we thought the van might roll. Our mechanic stated he has never seen anything like this before. This is a 2005 nissan quest with 65,000 and i maintenance it regularly. A very serious safety concern. This could have been a fatality.

Ongoing issue with a suspected defective tire valve/tire pressure monitoring system on my 2005 nissan quest van. Recently told by tire company that this issue appears to be a defect because of the psi monitoring device keeps coming loose causing air pressure to be release.this is an all in one valve system connected to the rim.

Had to replace complete transmission. Lack of power and no reverse.based on research a huge percentage of nissan quest, nissan maxima and nissan altima from 2005 have this issue, and no recalls was issued nor nissan dealer accountable for problem. Problem happened on the freeway, had lack of power, move to the side of the road and stop, put car in park, tried reverse gear, and was not working, tried drive gear and it moves forward but with very little power. Took it to the mechanic and and after several inspection he told me i needed to change the transmission.

The odometer and fuel gauge led display, either vanishes completely or shows corrupted information. This will remain for sometime and the get fixed on its own, this keeps on happening frequently.

Timinig chain is very loud and needs to replaced at only 141k

When put in gear or stop and go jerks very hard and some times don't want to go.

Cadena del tienpo ase ruido fuerte

I had pulled into a parking space and stopped fully.the van was still in drive and suddenly the engine accelerated while my foot was till on the brake.i grabbed the shift lever and put it in neutral and the engine raced at very high rpm until i was able to grab the ignition key and turn it off.i restarted it and it seemed normal so i drove home and parked it.

Consumer 2005 nissan quest continued to accelerate when brakes were depressed.the consumer managed to shift the vehicle into the park position. Then turned the key to off. The engine was still racing loudly before the consumer turned the key to the off position. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, however they were unable to duplicate the consumers concern.

My nissan quest 2005 computer system failed when my wife and i and kid was driving in intersection.gas pedal was not responding. We by miracle avoided an accident witha big truck on irving park rd in chicago. Dealer found throttlechamber electronics failed and was replaced 08/28/06. They have old parts. Part nr. 16119-8j103i will file state attorney about replacement of car because i scare to drive now.

Windows will not stay up.they go down but when rolled up come back down half way.drivers side window no longer works at all now.van is out of warranty so dealership wants to charge over $400 to repair.

I was accelrating onto an interstate highway when my windshiield cracked. There was no reason for this since no other vehicles were in the vicinity of my vehicle and the vehicle was new (1500 miles). I reported a stress fracture to the dealership where the vehicle was purchased and to the nissan corp. Everyone i spoke with said something hit the glass and refused to correct the problem. There was no evidence of anything hitting the glass. My mechanic and an insurance investigator agreed with me. The problem remains unresolved.
