Passenger sensor light comes while driving then resets when engine restarted. This happens a couple times then airbag light in console starts flashing permanently.the person sitting in the seat is easily 250 lbs so it must be a sensor ir even issue.had a dealer check it once and no error code shows up

Dashboard airbag sensor light began flashing randomly in november 2018. When front passenger was present. I scheduled service with dealer per manual and technician cleared code. Airbag sensor went off yesterday 2/16/19 same issue when front passenger was seated again. Dealer stated issue not covered by warranty. They said it was a $1000 fix???? i my humble opinion this is a catastrophe safety concern and asking consumer to fix is absurd and shameful.

Taksta recall . Adult in passenger seat . Airbag does not identify me in passenger seat. Airbag child safety light stays on. As being a light weight person under a 100 lbs do i not have the right to have a working airbag? how do we resolve this.

The contact owns a 2015 nissan frontier. While the front passenger seat was occupied, the air bag deployment warning light illuminated failing to detect the passenger. The contact mentioned that the passenger had scoliosis and the weight distributed unevenly when seated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

When my wife sits in the passenger seat the air bag light did not go off unless she bounces in the set a couple times. Stating that there was in an infant in the front passenger seat.

The air bag warning light has been flashing on my instrument panel since spring of 2019. Brought to a couple different places and they can't clear the code. Says no air bag detected. I haven't fixed it yet...cuz i ain't got the money.the vehicle was in motion on highway when light came on.there is no varying of light...stays on continually.

Car was parked engine run flames started to come up by the battery side .found out that the 2012 -2014 frontiers had a recall for wire harness catching fire.

While operating vehicle the headlights become dim, after having the vehicle inspected the headlamp connector was melted and the wiring was overheated. The harness was replaced by a nissan dealer and it melted again 3 weeks later. Nissan has had engineers and multiple diagnostic specialists look at this problem and have found no solution. It is obvious they have used to small of a wire on the ground and not supported it correctly in the connector as the melting always begins with the ground wire. This has occurred on over 500 trucks.

I have a 2015 nissan frontier sv with only 21,514 miles and the radiator has a leak. No front end damage and all maintenance was done by seller (performance nissan) in pompano beach florida. No extended warranty was purchased but they do have a 20 year/200,000 power train warranty but they won't cover the radiator.

I purchased a brand new nissan frontier 2015 at the sterling mccall nissan dealership. I noticed that the whole bottom trunk door of the vehicle is rough and the paint is falling off. I contacted themby e-mailing three employees of the dealership explaining my concern for the trucks defects but not one has replied.

Evap tube, evap canister valve, and evap canister malfunction. Can not pump into car without it spilling back out of vehicle. Nissan needs to cover this car under their evap emission warranty policy enhancement.

Drove for an hour, parked for 20 mins started proceeding south drive about 500ft to make right turn when vehicle suddenly accelerated out of control reving up swirving out if control on the northbound lane almost hitting cars and a tree. Finally i got it to stop by breaking and parked at the side of the street in the southbound lane. I thought i was about to crash kill some onw and die. This was an unnerving terrifying experience

The contact owns a 2015 nissan frontier. When the cruise control was activated at approximately 50 mph and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle independently decelerated to low speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,170. ..updated 06/01/16

Brake and accelerator pedal placements and operation are dangerous.the brake pedal depresses too far before engaging the brakes and is too close to the accelerator pedal to work with this braking characteristic.a boot or wide shoe can overhang the edge of the brake pedal and engage the accelerator before braking becomes effective. The engine races, you push the brake pedal harder, depressing the accelerator more, racing the engine even more... Once the cycle starts you must use the emergency brake or throw it into neutral to prevent forward motion.then finally take your foot off the 'brake' -which also releases the accelerator.the brakes need to engage before they depress to the same plane as the accelerator.

The contact owns a 2015 nissan frontier. The contact stated that there was an intermittent failure with the rear tires rubber burning out when attempting to make a stop, at a light, up and down a hill which had caused the contact to shift gears into neutral. The caller had to put the gear in neutral and then park but was uncertain as to what was causing the rear to be unstable when releasing the accelerator pedal. No dealer had been able to replicate and diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired so the contact was uncertain if the failure may result in a catastrophic crash. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was waiting to determine the technical guidelines to repair the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 26,000. Consumer stated back wheels started spinning, truck was put in neutral and tires stopped spinning.

Nissan has failed to do an inline laser radar inspection, or proper inspections on some assembly of its trucks. I purchased a defective frontier king cab s automatic and nissan has not yet agreed to take it back.the truck bed or cab is off by 9mm or more. Bolts and welds were not properly aligned during assembly and nor were checked for quality and consistency after assembly and then sold to consumers with faults as there are several of these trucks out there with this defect. I found 2 at another dealer which were free from this defect. That is the vehicle i wanted.while driving down the freeway at 60mpg or less, there is a shake or imbalance in the steering, and needs constant adjustment. It seems to veer off to the right when the steering wheel is in a straight position.this could be caused by the whole truck being out of alignment or even just the truck bed.after reporting it to nissan, they told me to take it to the service shop and have it documented.it was reported to me that in their database this crooked bed has come up and they attempted to but were unable to repair it.i was told disassembling the body of a vehicle is not only dangerous but is damaging, so they told me this is how nissan makes them, nothing they can do. But since then i found some without flaws, so what he said is not true. My truck's driver side has a large gap between the back of the cab and the truck bed 9mm off. The cab door on my truck leaked water into the seat belt chamber, soaking and staining the seat belt, and also has a defective driver's seat which has a one inch gap between the chair back and seat cushion. This is not normal on other exact models i looked at and photographed. This is not the way the engineers designed this model of trucks. I was told that the driver seat defect also is simply how nissan designed it another lie. Rust is also an issue.

Child seat latch restraint system design is faulty for crew cab models.the anti tilt attachment point is low behind the seatback on the nissan frontier crew cab.to attach the strap you must tilt the seatback forward. You cannot adequately tighten the strap on most car seats, since attempting to do so causes the seatback to return to the upright position and you cannot completely tighten the strap before having to remove your hand. If the excess strap is long enough, the child seat becomes permanently mounted, because, then, you cannot tilt the seatback forward to access the strap tension-release mechanism.

I sent a complaint once. Have not heard back from you yet. This truck was purchased on march 6th, 2015 and delivered on march 8th, 2015 with mfg defects and nissan refuses to stand by their warranty and replace, refund, or fix the problems. One is unable to be fixed and should be considered a lemon in oregon. The truck bed is out of alignment by 9mm. The driver's side has a larger gap between the cab and bed than the passenger's side.the driver's seat has a 1 inch gap that does not belong there in the fold between the back and the cushion. This is ugly and does not match the passenger seat.these are both noticeable flaws by the naked eye, vehicles are being sold which are out of alignment should be considered a safety andmanufacture defect.defects are supposed to be covered by warranty and nissan refuses to address these issues or buy back the vehicle. There are also rusting parts on undercarriage, and was a leak in the rear door seat belt chamber whichhad stained the seat belt, and there was glue applied at dealer to correct the leak only they lied about fixing it so they would not replace the stained seat belt. You can see the glue.

Discovered my 2015 nissan frontier extended cab model has a very obvious out of aligned situation in the truck bed.it is off on the drivers side significantly and easily viewed with the human eye compared to the passenger side.the bed appears pushed over closer to the passenger side.discovered on nissan forums that this is occurring in many other frontiers .today went to a dealership and they stated that there are no known issues concerning the out of alignment on nissan frontier beds.how come there are numerous occurrences of this same issue and its not being addressed by nissan?

Vehicle shipped from factory with defective bolt on trailer hitch (receiver type).bolt is part of system to attach the hitch to the truck frame.discovered after several thousand miles of trailer towing.dealership has now installed a new bolt, records of repair are on file at dealership.

A burning or hot component odor occurred on a long trip with the a/c set to automatic control at 74 f with outside temps in the 80's.the heat "odor" was tracked to a section approx 2 inches square of the a/c ducts under the glove compartment on the passenger side.it appears to be a point near a motor or hot side of the exchange coil.the surface of the duct appeared to be hot enough to cause blistering if skin were held in contact for an extended duration. A barefoot passenger falling asleep could receive a burn.if cargo or a purse prevents air from circulating on the outside of the duct, it is unknown if it could get hot enough to ignite combustible materials.

The truck has an insufficient heater for the north east's cold weather. The engine warms up quickly, within 2 miles. The heat output at chest level takes as much as 10-15 minutes if night time temps were less than 20 degrees f. At that point. It takes longer at the floor level no matter what position the controls are in. I found that the floor level indicator heat also exits at the defroster and the outside chest level vents. This leaves painful cold at the floor level for more than 20 minutes. All this is maximum effort for the heater.this is a health issue for me as a diabetic with leg blood flow problems and resultant varicose veins.is this a result of a ruling? i have not found one on your site.thanks for the help,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
