My nissan quest has had a number of problems since i have purchased in november 2004.-airbag and seat issue (corrected after several attempts to fix)however, airbag light on passenger sidestills remains off occasionally when it should be on. I weigh 122 pounds.-passenger side door. Sticks and difficulty opening. In the shop several times for this issue. Last time in march 06 to be brought back again because it still does not open properly-gas tank: doesn't register gas after purchase. Van is off at station but when i turn it on the digital reading says empty or wherever it was before i went to gas station.-gas tank replaced but still does it-back to shop again -radio- replaced but still hear static-back to shop for additional troubleshooting and part-digital readings on tire pressure(although now fixed) continually read flat tire. In shop a several times before it finally worked.

I am an attorney, the air bags on my client's 2004 nissan sentra deployed without notice causing my client to crash into 2 other vehicles, nissan wants to send someone to take the computer out of the vehicle, we are requesting that dot send someone to retrieve the computer and to investigate .

Battery and parking brake light illuminated. Car running but no power. Parked, turned off, then attemped restart which failed. Towed to dealership for evaluation. Dealer reported alternator failure. Replaced.

I was driving my 2004 nissan murano and was stopped at a stop light when the car just stopped running and would not start. Thankfully i was at an intersection where there was a garage with atow truck. I called the dealer where i purchased my car and he told me to get the car jumped and drive it to the dealership. The tow truck driver was a mechanic and he told me it was the alternator. The dealer implied the mechanic didn't know what he was talking about but told me to have the car towed there and they would look at it on monday when there was someone in service. At that time he asked me if i had received a letter about a recall. I told him i had not. We towed my car to the dealer. I found out this morning it was my alternator. I went on to the nissan web site and found out there is in fact a recall on my car related to the alternator which stated "the engine will go into a fail safe condition which will limit speed. Very shortly after this, the engine will stop running. This could result in a crash." i never received a letter and had no idea there was a recall on my vehicle. I had just come off a major expressway outside chicago, not 5 minutes earlier, and had been driving at high speed with my son in the car. Imagine how i felt imagine what knowing nissan knew about this problem and had not contacted me. What if this had happened 5 minutes earlier. My son and i would be dead! i called nissan and asked why i hadn't received a letter and i was told all of the letters hadn't gone out yet. I find this appalling. How many other people are at risk here. Does any one monitor that people are informed of a recall?

Failure of alternator on 2004 nissan murano 11 mo's, 13,500 miles. Dealer was aware of multiple failures, why isn't there a recall? with what certainty am i not getting another alternator with a high probability of failure?car was driven on battery to nissan staten island, where they diagnosed failed alternator and a cracked transfer case. When i visited the repair shop and requested the mechanic show me the crack in the transfer case, he and his manager claimed they made a mistake, and only a failed alternator was diagnosed. As a result my car sat in nissan for 3 consective days. This problem, alternator and mismanaged nissan service was reported to nissan national cust svc.

2003 murano alternator failed on i40 in eastern north carolina, made it safely to the side of the road.dealer said they have replaced many alternators on the muranos even though first model year is 2003.they seem to think its a cooling/electrical problem that causes the failures.

Bought an '04 quest with 23 miles on od in march '05. Have experienced starting problems daily for past 1 year. Always starts fine after it's been sitting with engine off for a while. Problem is when i turn engine off & try to re-start 5 minutes later. Cranks for a good minute before it finally starts. Took to dealer 2 times to get fixed; they replaced something but that didn't fix problem. They basically said they didn't know what the problem is.

When driving this vehicle ,and the right foot is on the accelerator you feel as though you are going to rip a wiring harnes with your foot ,it is also distracting and some what concerning as it takes you longer to move your foot to the brake pedal, also the suspension on this vehicle is not sturdy , the front strut assembly rattles as if the vehicle is 10 years old i have spoken to nissan and they say that such is normal i have spoken to other front end experts and they say the suspension on this vehicle should be replaced , i have also noticed that at cold starts the vehicle gives of a blue smoke which is not normal i am a very meticulous person and take care of my vehicle ,faithfull oil changes etc. I believe nissan should reevalute this 2004 and make changes to keep customers happy.

2004 maxima poor workmanship interior and gurgling in radiator.

Third brake failure!brake lights come on and brakes are grating/grinding.not the same issue as before- no shaking.i was not able to brake. If i turn off the car and wait 15 min.- the issue is resolved. The dealership has looked at it and noted "no problem".unless it occurs when they have it, they cannot solve it.the last failure occurred on the highway to illinois and lasted 20 minutes.had to restart the car several times before the waiting period worked and the brakes worked again.this is not poor brake maintenance.this is an inherentproblem with the'04.

My truck has 8,000 miles. 1st the main computer system malfunctioned and i had to wait a week to be replaced. Then my brakes started shaking so they grinded down my rotors.then the brakes started shaking again so they replaced the rotors and brake pads. Then two months later the brakes went again so they replaced the rotors and brake pads again. Then on a cold day i went to open my car and the door handle brokeso i couldn't close my door. The dealer replaced it. Now three weeks later the door handle broke again and my rear window wiper stopped working. Nissan tells me that they have a national back order on the door handles.

I have a 2004 nissan quest which has given me problems since i bought the car.the numerous recalls and the constant changing of brakes.we have had to change the brakes more than six times.the back brakes are constantly going out.they have a burning smell and i have taken it to the dealership on several occasions with no assistance.since i could not get an answer as to why my brakes were getting hot. I then took the car to aaa for a motor vehicle diagnostic inspection.they stated that the motor vehicle had two cracked motor mounts, both of lower control arms were defective, which wore out two sets of tires, and i had other repairs that were necessary to make.aaa also stated that there was something going on with the brake calipers, which could be the reason that i was having to change my brakes every six months.i told the dealership where i purchased the vehicle and they did not try to remedy the situation.i also contacted nissan who have not responded to my request for them to replace the tires on my vehicle.i'm still trying to reach them.

The rear axle seals on my 2004 nissan titan are leaking and allowing differential oil to coat my rear brakes causing unsafe braking conditions.

I purchased a 2004 nissan maxima on december 2nd of 2006,from aused cars dealership on belair road. The following saturday i had to take itback to the to the dealership to be fixed with the first problem/ ended up taking it back to the dealership for this same problem 4 times.at the time i purchased this car, it had a factory warranty of 30 days or 1000 miles.their was a problem every month with this car. I explained to her all i wanted to do was trade for another one just like it. By this time the warranty had expired and i couldn't afford the extended warranty amount all at one time. As the warranty begin to end, the transmission was messing up shifting roughly, jumping into gear either when slowing down, pulling off, or even when parking. I told this to the service man at the dealership and because of the miles on the car they wouldn't touch it. Itook the car to have the transmission flushed at a service station and i was told a flush wouldn't help this car needs a transmission. Before i had talked to the general sales manager about the problem and he stated their was nothing that could be done, because the warranty had expired. I explained to him that i have found a lot of defects with this car, that wasn't found before being sold to me. I asked several times about them assisting me in getting it repaired or trading for an other max.now i have a car sitting at home i can't drive that i still have to pay for and its not right. The gm from a koons ford location did respond to my complaint, but i haven't heard anything yet on what he's going to do.i have called/sent him messages and no response yet.i need my car fixed or another one. I'm soliciting for assistance through this direction. It's been 3 weeks noe the car has been parked, i don't have $2500.00 to get this transmission fixed.

Vehicle shift lock handle when put in to park locks and its very hard to to shift, it gets stuck, if for any reason you stop the vehicle on a very small incline and shift into park, be prepared tospend some time trying to disengaged the shift, creating that congestionof vehicles behind your car waiting for you. It has been happening to me, i have taken this vehicle back to dealer several times and all they said is "thats the way this minivan is made, actually you have to learn how to drive this vehicle and complain to nissan", i have tried several other quests and most of them do the same thing and some don't, is this a ground for a manufacturer recall? please let me know if i am stuck with several years of payment for this vehicle and i have to live with this problem. Thank you.

My 2004 nissan murano sl had 19,000 miles on it when it's transmission went out, due to an electrical solenoid(?)deep inside that meant the part couldn't be replaced but that the whole transmission had to be replaced.when this happened my car stalled at every low speed, stop sign, and lights.it was very dangerous getting it to the dealer.i have a friend in lc texas who's 04 same car transmission went out at 10,000 miles.of course these are covered with the 36,000 warranty but i would like to keep this expensive car like my others until it has 150,000 miles but i feel there is something very wrong with this cars new cvr shiftless transmission system if 2 people in lc texas had the same problem with very new cars.

While backing my boat into its parking spot, i put the vehicle in park. With the engine still running, i got out of thevehicle to unhook the boat trailer from the tow vehicle, leaving the driver's door open. As i turned the trailer jack to lift boat trailer from the trailer hitch of the titan truck, which is the tow vehicle, it jumped out of park into reverse, and started traveling backwards.as i attempted to enter the truck and press the brake, the tree next to the vehicle caught the driver door. Because i was holding on to and using the open door as leverage while attempting to enter the cab to stop the vehicle, i was thrown to the ground very close to being run over by thedriver's side tire.the door while passing over me caused a severe abrasion to my left arm.as the result of the reverse movement of my truck caused by the gear shift jumping from park to reverse, my boat was pushed down into a culvert, damage at this point unknown.insurance claim pending;liability to nissan corporation to be investigated.

Transmission cooler lines started leaking and were of the plastic self tightening. Dealer replaced leaking one with regular hose clamp and solved problem, later had to have other connection replaced for the same failure. If this had happened while enroute on interstate, withinminutes the transmission would have emptied and caused severe damage to the vehicle and possible loss of control or fire by excess oil coming in contact with the exhaust or catalytic converter.i consider a very serious problem that is a very inexpensive fix to 25 cent clamps.

2004 le 4x4 offroad-big tow package with 62,900. Miles. I was leaving my apt. Made a right turn, started toincrease speed to 25-35 mph when a clunk noise came from my rear end. I stop to check it out and did not notice anything out of place. Started back up and it continued. So i went straight to the dealership. After they looked at it, they show me metal peaces and how the gear was skipping. There recommendation was replacement of the whole rear end. I'm an easy driver, have not pulled any loads with my truck. 60 months 60,000 miles is the warranty. I'm just outside that by close to 3,000. I would hope this helps, nissan needs to look into this matter as i have net work and found that this has been a problem with 04-06 tatin.

I own a '04 nissan titan that i purchased new in dec. '04.a rear end hum alerted me (after further inspection) to a leaky passenger side axle seal.after further inspection, the left axle seal was leaking as well.the truck has 93,500 miles on it and the passenger side leak is so bad, that the entire rear wheel hub and portions of the rear brake system are covered in rear end fluid.i was fortunate to have located the problem before more extensive damage or an accident occurred.

I own a 2004 nissan titan, i have had several issues involving the brakes having a severe vibration problem and have had them fixed at least 3 different time at the dealer, the dealer says the problem is fixed and should not return but it does 6-12 months later.now the rear differential is going out and the truck is only 2 1/2 years old.i took it to the dealer only to be told it would cost over 3000.00 dollars to repair.the dealer rep that i spoke to said it was a common problem on this model,i took it to a reputable mechanic in my area to be told it could br repaired for around 1200.00 dollars.my mecanic did his own research speaking to several area nissan dealers to be told it was a common problem and it could be repaired but it would most likely happen again and that the entire rear axle should be replaced.i do like the truck and all i want is to have my rear replaced at no cost to me.the truck has not been used for any towing or hauling purposes and has only been in 4 wheel drive when is was a severe snow.it hasbeen used for light four wheel drive use.

Truck now has 50,000 miles on it.first noticed the rear differential leaking about a year ago.had nissan dealer seal it again along with the 3rd brake kit replacement.noticed a high pitched whine when accelerating and at high speeds.took it back to nissan dealer who checked out rear differential and said it needed to be replaced.truck came with big tow"package.we towed a 3500 lbs. Boat locally during the summer, but itmade a once-a-year-round-trip , towing boat between freehold and bassett, va.

My 2004 titan le (tow package) had 32000 (+or-) miles when i heard a loud whining noise from the rear end. The dealership examined the truck and advised they had to replace the entire rear end. Now 3500 miles later (total mileage 37000) it has gone out again. Tonight, it's in the shop. Will it go out again? after reading this site, my guess would be an intelligent, yes!

Rear differential on my 2004 nissan titan le replaced after original differential burned up while pulling 6000 lb trailer.while on freeway a bad smell became evident in the cab of the truck , differential was smoking and making noise. Wiring harness burned up going to differential.

Rear electronic locking differential failed, solenoid stuck engaged, rear end popping and hopping.

Rear end to be replaced, once under warranty and once eight thousand miles after warranty.

2004 nissan titan rear differential failure.dealer replaced rear end.

Rear seat belt - center- locks up while passager is in the seat. The only way to unlock the seat belt is to release the belt from the buckle and face the rear of the truck and press the seat in so enough belt retracts as to allow the seat belt to un lock. This operation is unsafe if truck is moving. The dealership indicated that this " is " the design and it is up to me to learn how to use the belt. I have check with other manufacturers of trucks and the center seat belt releases teh same as all other belts in the truck.the rest of the belt seam to release after presure is released from the belt. As most seat belts do. This defect in design or manufactoring will cause injury at some time in the future as well as the law states that the belt must be buchled at all times when the vehical is in motion.

The seat adjustment mechanism located at the rear of the second row seat contains exposed moving metal components.if the second row seat is adjusted in an unusual manner there is a possibility that a finger may be pinched in the moving seat adjustment mechanism.there is also the possibility that the third row seat striker brackets, which hold the seat in the upright seating position may detach due to a broken weld.striker separation could affect the risk of injury in certain types of collisions.

The abs brake system on the 2004 nissan titan se 4wd pickups have all failed in every vehicle i have been able to track- at least 3 times.i am now in for a 3rd replacement of the rotars on the back brakes.my pads on the front have worn 3 times with only 18000 miles on the truck.i believe if you do a survey of the dealers' service deopartments, you will find that the titans have all been brought back for these reasons.this should be reported and a recall sent out as this is a safety hazard at best.i have had two accidents related to not being able to stop my truck.please assure me that this will be delt with before someone is actually killed.thank you for your time.kayla jones

Nissan's titan brakes, especially the front disc, failed 3 times. The rotors would build up heat, then shimmy under braking. Nissan retro fit an upgrade kit with larger, vented front disc and a different brake pad. They also machined the rear rotors and installed new pads. This was at 19954 miles.now the vehicle has 32200 miles and the brakes grind under load. The dealer has inspected the vehicle and states that this is normal. The grinding is felt through the pedal and is able to be felt by the passenger via the floorboard. It is also audible.the dealer states that the pad material may be changed, but that the shimmy would return. The grinding indicates additional wear on the rotors, leading to more recurrent and more costly repairs. The fear of a failure is unacceptable.

Front brake defect.brakes worn to unusable condition every 2000 miles.nissan states this is not a safety issue.twice my vehicle has been unable to maintain proper braking power while on the major freeways of southern california.

Rotor warping causing brake issues.

I'm leasing a 2005 armada. I leased the vehicle in october of 2004. Since then i've had to take it back 3 times to have the rotors resurfaced, this week will make number 4. Nissan has indicated that they are aware the problem and that i need to bring it in every time this happens and that they are working on a recall. The car shakes uncontrollably and is difficult to stop. At times it bounces as you are applying the brakes which has caused me to go into other lanes of traffic. When starting the vehicle and applying the brakes the car still goes forward even though the brakes are applied. I have to put all my weight down on the brake peddle in order to stop this from happening. At times this has caused me to almost hit vehicles in front of me when i'm in a parking lot. Last week i was making a 3 point turn and backed up. The car didn't stop and i hit a pole. This caused damage to my censors on the bumper and damage to the bumper.i have yet to advise nissan but plan to do so. I tried to trade in this vehicle for a different nissan and the same dealership was not as willing to work the deal with this car as they have the past two cars i've leased from the same dealer. Iam assuming because it's falling apart. Aside from the major defect this car has (the brakes). Accessories are just falling off the car, plastic pieces are coming off from the back seats. My electronic seat buttons that are located on the seats by the doors are coming out. The sunglass compartment fell off completely. This car needs to be recalled.

My 2004 nissan titan se crew cab 4x4 has had it's rotors resurfaced twice with less than 15,000 miles on it. The entire front end shakes when brakes are applied. Nissan aware and admit rotor flaw for titan and armada. My rotors cannot be resurfaced again, nor can i get new rotors because they no longer produce the originals and they can't give me a date for the new kit. Meanwhile, i'm driving this vehicle on the highway each day to go to work. I've almost had 2 accidents because the vehicle bears to the left or right when brakes are applied.

Brakes shuttering, about every 5000 miles, dealer has turned the rotors twice but not replaced them.my nissan titan is ready for brake service again at 15000 miles. I have reported this to nissannorth america each time the car was serviced.dealer tells me that nissan is working on the problem.

I purchased a 2004 nissan armada on june 18,2004.this is my third nissan vehicle.in august, i started feeling that, when braking, my car violently pulls to one side, and steering wheel shakes.i couldn't believe that my brakes were bad after only 2000 miles.also, my front windows squeak and do not go up smoothly.after bringing the car in for service, they told me that my rotors were warped.the rotors were cut and new brake pads installed.(bay ridge nissan invoice #174068 sept. 17,2004).they also replaced 2 window regulators.on nov 8, 2004 at 3750 miles my brakes failed completely.i was stopped at the light when all of a sudden my pedal went down to the floor.when i pulled up and tried to stop, all i heard was metal on metal noise and the car won't stop.when i brought the car to the dealer, i was told that this is a ongoing problem.after they checked the computer, i was told that my power brake booster failed. (bay ridge nissan nov. 8,2004).originally, i was told that the part is on local backorder, but week later they notified me that it is on national backorder, and nobody knows when i'm getting my car back.every mechanic tells me that there is a problem with brakes on these trucks, and nobody knows how to fix it.even after this problem is fixed, i don't feel safe driving this truck.if the same problem occurs on the highway, i would not be able to stop the truck. Nissan customer service was useless and cannot provide any solutions.

I received letter from nissan corp about recall about "brake judder'.i went to the dealership for regular maintenance and to complete recall servicing but for three months the parts were unavailable.i continued to get my vehicle serviced atthe nissan dealership. In addition to the judder recall my brake system was replaced at a later date but the parts for the recall were still unavailable.i had my tire rotated and balancedat regular service intervals. Afterthree months, thebrakes were squeaking again, when itook the vehicle in for regular servicing the technician said that i needed new tire after only 40,000 miles of regulartravel. They found that the vehicle was in poor alignment, something that should have been noted from my many service visits to the dealership. I called the corporate office of nissan to check the information about the brake judder, to see if it could cause alignment problems that would lead to this kind of abnormal wear.there is no proof available from nissan that the alignment issue is related to the brake judder problem.i request a thorough investigation into what the effects of the brake judder issue would have on alignment of my vehicle. The fact that problem remained unfixed on my vehicle for several months because of unavailable parts is a problemthat should be addressed without delay.

I would be driving and all of a sudden, the truck would shake while applying the brakes.the first time i went in to have them check out the problem at nissan of elk grove i was chewed out on how bad of a driver i am.he got so loud he was considered yelling by other customers of nissan.he told me how i must have been power braking the truck to generate the kind of heat necessary to warp the rotors like that.the problem was that i bought the truck on december 12, 2003 and this was happening approximately on january 15, 2004.it happened about a month after i bought the truck.i bought a truck that cost me $42,000 i have no reason to run it into the ground right off the bat.i want this truck to last me as long as last truck over 300,000 miles.i even use full synthetic oil to help protect the engine.this truck has had three completely new brake systems in it and has had brakes and rotors resurfaced four times.this lead to the tires being worn out by 11,000 miles.it was funny when there was three nissan titans to be repaired for the same problem.they denied that there is a problem and told all of us we were very hard on our vehicles.the tires all had the same wear patterns also.i sent $800 dollars to get new tires after they thought they had the problem fixed and they only had to do one more brake job since and the tires are less than 50% worn and the truck has 31,118 miles on it currently.i am willing to do whatever it takes to get this problem resolved.

On 10/12/07i was driving my 2004 nissan titan on the interstate.my brakes totally failed and i had to coast and use the transmission to stop.their was minimal braking when i had the pedal in the floor and the truck shook violently.upon restarting the car the brakes seemed to work.i contacted nissan and was told after telling the person what happened that my computer had a glitch. It took her like two seconds to come up with how to fix it over the phone.i thought it was really funny that what they called a glitch could have killed me and others.they supposedly fixed it when i took it in.from research this sounds pretty common with this truck.i have been told that resetting of the computer would fix it.if it is that simple then nissan should do a recall and reset them all before someone dies or is seriously injured.

At 5000 miles my steering wheel began to shake every time i applied the brakes.dealer made temp. Repair and told me it would happen again. Nissan has not come up with perminate fix. Seem rotors or pads are warping.

2004 nissan titan with excessive steering wheel shudder upon brake application. Had rotors and pads replaced once at 10,000 miles and has re-occured at 15,000 miles.waiting for nissan recall.

While driving at approx. Speed of 30 mph and applying brakes there was a scraping noise and light braking. I traveled approx. 1 mile further and applied brakes with little braking action and scraping noise heard again. Turned engine off and checked vehicle. Re-started engine and all function appeared normal. A week later same action accrued again. I took vehicle to dealership where the abs system was found to be bad. Replaced delta stokes sensor and reprogrammed ecu.

I have now experienced brake failure on my nissan titan for the 4th time in 10 months. Each time it gets more and more difficult to convince the dealer to absorb the costs , even though nissan has acknowleged an ongoing problem. The dealer (quality nissan in tmemcula) seems un sympathetic and even though i bought the extended warranty, the sdervice is getting worse and the problem persists costing me a day or more each time these brakes fail.

Car brakes are failing every month.

Brakes have been serviced 6 times in 8 months and have failed to stop vehicle 2 times.dealerships have informed me that this brake problem is occuring in about 35 to 40% of all 2004 nissan armada's and that nissan engineers are preparing a brand new redesign of the braking system for this vehicle over the next 3 months.in the meantime, this vehicle poses a potential life threatening problem for all consumers that have purchased this type of vehicle and should be recalled for safety reasons.a vehicle that runs the risk of not stopping, or imparing ones ability to stop, should be taken off the market, until such time as the situation is fully corrected and documented as corrected.

Brakes are the problem, we have taken the titan to the dealer four times , all they do is turn the rotors and put new pads. We only had26,000 mi. On the vehicle. As a result while vacantioning in north fl.\orida, trying to avoid a deer , slamming on the brakes they whent down to the floor we swerved into a tree.$2000. Later a rental car. The other day i tried stoping for a red light went right through. Try exsplaning that to a cop.

My suv was not even 30 days old when i had serious vibration when braking.have taken the suv in for service a min of 10times to fx the brakes alone.dealer tells me that they need to change rotors brake pad but even after they did that a month later i was back in the shop for the same thing.i heard a noise of metal on metal when going over bumpsagain go back to dealer i needed niew front shocks. Back doos was catchinghad to take take it to the deal 4 times for them to finally fix problem.rt front passager seat control came out .it was at teh dealer again 3 times for them to fix the controlls.roof rattles

The steering wheel shakes violently when you depress the brakes. I had the front aligned and the brakes checked. The autoshop can't remove the bolts holding the pads on both front wheels. Now i hear a loot of tapping noise plus the continued shaking of the steering wheel when i depress the brakes.

Third major repair of major brake components.

I have had my armada in for brake service 4 times now .my wife can't work on that day and isn't provided a rental car for a defect that is not our responsibility needs to quit dancing around this issue and manufacturecorrectly designed brake rotors for this vehicle. They need to provide vehicles to those that need to get to work .this is their responsibility or they are going to loose a large portion of their customer base to toyota and others with proven reliability.

Mar 2004 i purchased a 2004 nissan titan. At 7000 miles i began having violent vibrations with braking. I retirned to the dealership and they replaced them and stated the calipers needed reinforncing with a special kit. Two months later, i experienced the same problem and the dealership did another front brake replacement. Every three months i have had the brakes replaced, and last month they replaced the rotors and the brakes. I am concerned that in the past 14 months i have replaced my brakes 4 times. This is quite extreme. The point of my complaint is to not have to complain after someone in my family dies. I love the truck, but i am worried the truck is unsafe and i have asked my family not to ride in it until this matter can be resolved in some way other than simply replacing the front pads.

Safety concern regarding the front end.i've had to take my truck in for vibration of steering wheel and front end when slowing down at stop signs, lights, or parking.the vibration is only when slowing down and it feels like it radiates towards the rear end right before the complete stop.i've had to take my truck in for 4 times due to the front end.three, because of the vibration and once in dec. For red fluid dripping and getting all over the bottom and side of truck while coming back from a christmas trip about 7hrs away. I was told it had something to do with the rack and pinion.that was not good news to hear especially since we had driven back a few nights ago in the snow.now, april 2005 i still have the same problem for the fourth time with the extreme vibration of the front end while braking or slowing down.i need to be inconvenienced again when i take my truck in for a check and leaving it behind several days and be without a car.the other problems are the fact that the two front windows of the truck do not always go up when the automatic button is used.it seems that the windows begin to go up then just slide back down.this has been serviced more than four (4) times with still the same problem occurring to one of the windows.it is an inconvenience when the window does not go up when it is raining or cold wind blowing while driving and my kids are at the back seat.

Brakes too small for truck.brake pads wear out and rotor warp every approx. 3,000.00 miles.we have been told by the dealer it will be another 6 to 12 months before nissan will provide a repair kit to the dealers that will resolve the problem.in the meantime the brake pads rub against the rotors, even when the brakes are not being used, and the rotors warp because of the heat.

Third major repair of major brake components.

I have a 2004 nissan armada this is a major safety issue "break problems " i have taken my car in to get the breaks jobs 10 times in 40,000. Miles this is a serious problem! to this day i continue to have problems with the breaks and i am scared to drive the car now. I can't continue the of risk driving this car knowing that it's not safe.

I bought my armada in oct 2004 and it was in for repairs by nov 2004, the front end/brakes would violently vibrate while attempting to stop, the rotors along with several other major components were replaced which temporarily fixed the problem.by the beginningfeb 2005 my armada was back at the dealership for the exact repairs which again will temporarily fix the problem.i was advised by nmac that this is a problem they are aware of and they are "working on a remedy", so for the mean time, my armada sits in my garage until nissan come up with a "remedy" for this problem, i hope they expedite this process before tragedy strikes.

I bought my nissan titan brand new december 2003, matter of fact i was the first one to buy one in my county.we've had all sorts of interior problems with this vehicle since we bought it.front door bolts coming lose, weather striping kept coming off, headliner attachment keeps coming off, plastic knobs coming off.june 2004 - 6 months ( 6,548 miles) after i had my titan, i had my brakes checked and all the fluids topped off.february 2005 - 8 months (16, 025 miles), vehicle started to judder in the steering wheel when braking and making noise, front brakes warped. April 2005 -2 months later (17, 836 miles) my steering wheel started juddering when braking, front rotors were warped and my front brake pads were to thin.they replaced my brakes at that time. June 2005 - 2 months later (20,000 miles) i lost all brakes in the pouring down rain.luckily i was in a parking lot and not driving on a highway where i usually drive.front end sounded like it was going to fall off.had to have the truck towed to the dealer.they have had the vehicle for 14 days and it still is not fixed.i notified nissan north america with no results as of yet.

Dt:bought car in 2004, a month later every time consumer applied brake pressure the front end shook.sometimes the brake could be all the way to the floor.vehicle was taken to dealerto be serviced, and a couple months this started again.took the vehicle be serviced again, they put new brakes on, and againvehicle was hard to stop and still vibrated.this has supposed to be fixed three times already.

My front wheels and steering wheel shudder when i am braking at medium pressure.

2004 nissan armada severe brake problems only 13,000 mileshas been in for service 6 times with same problem and unable to fix.fear for the safety of myself and children.

Third major repair of major brake components.

High speed braking caused the vehicle to have a hard to control braking of brake pads from the vibration from the rotors.the vehicle shook when brakingand hard to control, the brake pedal pulsated, and the steering wheel shook violently. Rotors have warped, makeing it hard to turn in the rain without sliding. Police officer gave me a ticket for the front left tire crossing the middle divider line in a down hill right turn. Couldn't control vehicle in the turn due to the braking system but the police officer wouldn't believe me and wrote me a ticket anyway. Nissan put on upgrade rotors they said. Still have the same problem,it just took a little longer for it to occur again. Brake pads were put on at my expense.

Have 04 armada and had the rotors turned at 7000 miles, and just found out that i need another rotor and brake job at 14000 miles. Contacted dealership and first person i talked to denied there was a problem and said it would not be covered under a warranty-even extended. Second person was much nicer but said that they still won't be able to "fix" the problem for now. Have also taken truck in for driver side window rattle and passenger side door squeaking twice and has yet to be fixed. Dealership says that they cannot hear or "find" a problem, i don't think that they even checked it out.

I purchased a nissan titan in april 2004. May 2004 with 1000 miles on it, it was in to have brake calipers replaced. I drove it 23 miles and the calipers went out again.since that time it has been in 4 other times with a terrible shaking in the steering wheel when brakes were applied, worse at higher speeds. One of those times nothing was done about it. The last 3 times rotors have been turned and brake pads replaced (x2), and then this last time the front rotors were replaced, the back ones turned, brake pads replaced and bolt casings changed.the truck only has 17,500 miles on it.it lasts for approximately 3000-5000 miles before the "brake judder " begins. I pull a horse trailer with this truck and i worry of the safety of this as the problem is definitely worse with a load on the back. Other then pulling the trailer this truck has no stress with only city and highway driving.

2004 nissan titan, severe brake judder began occurring at approximately 15,000 miles. Dealer has stated that no recall is in effect and that i am responsible for repairs. Brake judder in a turn is causing difficulty in maintaining control of the vehicle. Repairs to brake rotor and pads do not resolve the problem. Vehicle is unsafe to drive on curvy roads.

I have a 2004 nissan titan 4x4 pickup and have been having steadily increasing problems with my brakes.they started vibrating at about 5,000 miles and continued to get worst.i brought the truck in to a nissan dealer to get them worked on after the steering wheel began to shake really bad when brakes were used.the service writer stated nissan was working on a recall expected in june.he had the rotors turned, did a fix kit on the calipers, and put new pads on.the are working fine now but i am afraid it is just a temporary fix.they really need to be investigated before serious problems began happening.thanks.

Been going on for the last year or about every few thousand miles. Rotors on the front of my 2004 nissan armada brakes are terrible and very dangerous. My wife is afraid to go in my truck.brakes were replaced once and then cut again once. Soon i will be back again(acting up again)

It started about a month after taking ownership on a new 2004 titan..at that time it had about 1500 miles on it ..the steering wheel started a shudder upon applying the brakes ...i finally had the time available to get it to the dealer and was told that they would turn the rotors..i couldn't accept that quick fix and insisted on the updated rotors.. They complied and that was yesterday..today the dealer called me and told me that the new rotors arrived at the dealer today..i am scheduled for replacement in 5 days from now wheni found the time to get to the dealer.....hope it takes care of the problem.......

I will be on my 5th brake job shortly and i am still awaiting rotors, pads, calipers for the front as well as the rear. It seems that nissian north america should be required to fix all of it's vehicle's problems since they stated they have corrected it on the 2005 and noe the 2006 nissian titan trucks.

There has been a vibration in the steering since purchase (now 14000 miles).was originally told that the car has to be broken in and then dealer balanced tires.the car is now at the dealer for the 3rd time.

Consumer bought a brand new vehicle in which a grill was to come with it upon purchase.consumer stated that he had been going back and forth with the manufacturer about the problem . However, there was no protection to the under body of the vehicle.

2004 nissan maxima sl in shop six times since purchased brand new for steering wheel vibration.tires balanced numerous times, tsb on steering rack force done. Vibration still there. This vehicle has continental tires. In shop for one week now waiting replacement of four tires.

1-still pending - steering, brakes, and shaky noise in new nissan armada.-taken to dealer, and they attempted to fix brakes - but the consequences are the same - same problems. 3 -parts repaired - but clunking sound still sounds when braking - and steering is off.

The front struts on my 2004 maxima have now been replaced for the second time. The car is only 16 months old with 6700 miles. This is a well known problem that any nissan service dept will acknowledge.

While driving to store, noticed a bang in rear of truck, did not think much of it since i haul my tools in bed of truck. Until i got to the job site and realized that the passenger rear leaf spring was protruding through the bed of the truck. The shackle had stretched off its mounting bolt, and the driver side was about to. Immediately i took the truck to the dealer and they stated that they would contact the manufacturer of vehicle and call me back. After several days and lost pay, the manufacturer said they would not honor the warranty because of the recently purchased air bags(2-3 weeks previous) i had added. I added because with my tool boxes loaded, my headlights would shine in other drivers eyes and truck would roll in corners. After several days of no pay i had to order a new set of rear shackles. Upon my surprise you can see a difference in the new shackles and the originals with additional welds. They blame the air bags. I thank god i had them on. I had unloaded all tools/boxes from truck and had all weighedwith me and my helper 920 lbs. With cap 1070 lbs for a truck whose payload is 1400 lbs. I also have photos/video of all items removed including the removal and installation of new parts. Took new and old shackles to dealership service manager and he stated that he could see a difference. Out of 7 areas to weld on the o4 and o5 time-stamped shackles only 3 are done. And on the o6 time-stamped shackle 6 of the 7 are done. I am currently driving vehicle with one o5 and one o6 shackle. Waiting to here from some one that could help me with potentiallyfatal quality control issue.

I am having a problem with my 2004 nissan pathfinder which i purchased in november 2004.on three separate occasions, the engine revved up on its own.the first two times i was stopped at a red light with my foot firmly on the brake when the engine revved up.the third time it happened on april 12, 2005 as i was approaching a red light. I gently applied pressure to the brake and the engine revved up and lunged forward.i applied as much pressure as i could to the brake, but the truck wouldn't stop.i quickly pulled over to the side of the road and threw the truck into park in order to stop the truck from moving and avoid hitting the car in front of me.nissan saidthey could notfind anything wrong with the truck.what do i do now?i'm nervous driving the vehicle.

I recently bought a brand new 2004 nissan pathfinder le platinum edition for my 15 year old son to drive when he turns 16. I have been driving it over the past few months and on two occasions it has suddenly accelerated from a stop and i've had to slam on the brakes to stop it. The first occasion i dismissed as maybe my foot or that it was in the wrong gear or something but it happened again today 6/30/05 and it was very scary. I will be taking it to the dealership on sat. To have them look at it. I wanted to file this in case there are others who have experienced the same problem. Now i'm nervous to let my sone drive this vehicle unless they can find and fix the cause.

In 2003 i purchase a nissan maxima and the next year i received a recall for the skyview. I was told by nissan headquarters to take it to the nearest dealership and they would take care of me. The reason for the recall was that the glass was not tempered correctly. My concern then was that they would mess my car up on top .at the time of the recall my warranty was good. Now two years later my car has correction and the paint is chipping where they replaced the glass. I took it back to the dealershipthat did the work previously and they say my warranty doesn't cover the paint. I have an extended warranty and that doesn't cover the problem either. At the present time nissan has giving me no hope of fixing their mistake. My car is only three yeard old and i live in texas.i should not have corroction on my car.my car is garage kept most of the time.

Backup laser warning system has failed three times, dealer washes parts and wiggles wires and works temporarily. Resulted in property damage twice, as the rear view mirror is very limited and has enormous blind spots.manufacturer refuses to pay for damage and i'm afraidin busy parking lot because of huge blind spots, this is a real safety problem because of the size of the vehicle.
