Vehicle is not turning on as it is not recognizing brakes. When vehicle is on it does not recognize brakes and will not shift out of park.during these times brake lights will not turn on.
Dead battery under normal usage. The vehicle started as normal from home. I parkediit after 30 minutes driving. After two hours back at the parking lot the armada would not start. I had to jump start it.
In august 2020, i had to jump start my armada due to battery drained while parked. The very next day, same thing happened. Nissan reprogrammed ecm in september due to recall. Worked fine until october 21, when the same problem occurred again. I drove it that morning, but when i tried to start it that afternoon, it would not start and the interior just flash on and off.had to jump start again.
2019 nissan was purchased aug 2020 from vallejo nissan(ca).october 20' the armada wouldn't start, i took it to the tracy nissan dealership as i have the nissan plus extended warranty. Tech said it was the battery which was not covered.i purchased a new battery with max cranking amps.jan 28, 2021 i took the car back to dealership as it failed to start again(#2).nissan tech said the negative battery terminal cable was loose.feb 3, 2021 i took the car back to tracy nissan as it failed to start (#3).nissan tech replaced the stop lamp switch which he stated was the reason why the armada wouldn't start.feb 20th, armada again would not start (#4).took it to dealer feb 22nd and was told a few days later(feb 27th) that a nissan regional technician was contacted and they had to update the "rapid charge" system in the armada and they were "pretty sure" the problem has been repaired.my wife arrived at nissan on feb 27th and armada again, would not start(#5).this was while it was still in the nissan dealer lot.march 1st i was contacted by nissan tech who stated my battery has low cranking amps due to the update they had to do to the rapid charge system and asked me to replace the battery...again! four of the five times the vehicle wouldn't start it was parked in my driveway, the fifth time it was parked at the dealership.
Had battery replaced in october 2019 and brake switch due to vehicle not starting. I had to have vehicle towed. Now, having same issue with vehicle not starting. Having it towed to dealership in dallas
On somewhat random occasions the vehicle will not start, in total over 13 separate occasions. At times it will start after 5 or 6 attempts sometimes 20 attempts. On the last 5 occasions it would not start until a battery charger or other battery was used. I have used the last occasion for date of occurrence. Had it to the dealership 3 times and they cannot duplicate. It is a random occurrence sometimes after a week and sometimes after a couple of months. The last time in november i had to jump start it 4 times before i could get it to the dealer and they could not duplicate it. The vehicle is unreliable. The regional rep is now working with me and having me take it to the dealership one more time to check it again.
On january 4th, 2020 when we went to start the car, all the lights flickered and the seats rattled from electrical pulses. The car did not start at all. We have had this happen 20+ times. Sometimes when we jump the car, it will start. The dealership has replaced the battery 4 times. It is clearly not the battery.nissan never has an answer.
Bci malfunction message displayed on the dash along with other indicators. Vehicle wouldn't start. Service department suggested to continue to press the brake and push start button while i waited for road side assistance tow. After about 15 min the vehicle started. Minutes later the vehicle was on but would not move out of park. Continued to attempt while waiting for tow again and it eventually went out of park. The next day it would not start again and eventually did. Dropped off at dealer for service. Picked up that afternoon and was told they replaced the brake switch. I drove less than a mile away and the bci malfunction message came on again and displayed other warning lights again as well. I was back at the dealership within 5 minutes of departing and placed in the same small loaner vehicle that did not fit my family. Picked it up my armada the next day around noon and was told they now replaced the brake sensor. Drove off and made one stop on my way back to work which is 4 miles from the dealership and before i made it there the bci malfunction light came on again. After much conversation and frustration the vehicle is back at the dealership for the 4th time for the same problem. I purchased the vehicle new june 13, 2019 and the problems started sept 4th 2019.

Having issues with my dome lights staying on, once all the doors, are closed. I've had this checked 3 times, at 2 different nissan's and know one can find the issue. I'm putting it in the shop, later this week i've had to replace the battery, do to the dome lights, being on and i have no knowledge until my family comes home, or my neighbor lets us know. I just purchased this vehicle in march 2020.
We have a group of customers must of us have experienced a stop lamp brake light switch gone bad that causes the computer to trow codes abs,tc,collision distance from the car in front ,bci malfunction, dealers are charging nissan customers to repair this issue $200+
2019 armada with just over 5000 miles. Dead battery towed or jumped 5 times. Recall switch replaced. The problem still continues. Seems like a dead battery just 15 minutes after shutting off .we called but wrecker was a problem so we used a jump start. Battery is suppose to be a brand new one dealer said when we drove and dropped off at dealership this a.m.have no idea how it could just be the battery. It shows it's charged once started.we live in a rural area and of course like anyone we need a dependable car. Seeing others having such problems tells us nissan may be a car we return as a lemon. Each time cell service has been very limited. Texting worked so i could get my husband a tow truck.nissan has our record we will obtain and keep. Last night all lights etc. We're operating just no start or attempt to start with ignition. Then in a few minutes all was dead. Door would not even unlock to let us in after getting jumper cables but after a few minutes and repeated attempts it unlocked.

Every time my car is in parking and i press the break to put my car on drive i heard a noise in the gear lever when i trying to put my car on revers or on drive the noise is so loud. The noise comes in the transmission. I brought my car to the dealer but they said that they don't see nothing but feel it anytime.
Vehicle didn't want to start, towed to closest dealer (south austin nissan) for repair of brake switch.they also updated faulty software.
Hissing noise coming from the brake pedal area when it's depressed.thought it was a brake booster issue and notified the dealer immediately.the corporate rep told the dealer that it is completely normal because the booster is not manual but electrical.the noise continue to come from the pedal area like a big rig.

The automatic emergency brakingrandomly kicks in and then will randomly go off and then disable cruise control.

I purchase my nissan armada in april 2019. In november 2019 the car left me stranded with a death battery. I had to get it jump started and then drive it to the dealership, a low battery. This happened again in december 2019, same issue , they checked and changed the the battery.this year i had the same issue 4 times already sometimes parked at my house some at public areas, through out the year, the first two times they had to jump started . The third time the mechanic they sent couldn'tstarted, since i was stranded in a public parking lot another person had to help. The fourth time the towing company could not get it started and it had to be towed. They have checked the ignition, the battery, the electrical and they can't find what is making the battery drain power and leave it useful. The dealerships respond is, to drive itlonger distance once a week or to buy a power battery for my house to charge it once a week! the car is still in the shop since i will not take this as a logical explanation, for a new car with only 9.800 miles. Their solutions are 1- to buy a larger battery at my cost and lose the warranty from them ,2- buy a battery tender to charge my car once a week( at my own cost) 3- buy a new car ( our request to see options) and for them is a regular tradeoff. They can't find the problem and their solutions are not logical. Compared to other models and brands, with even less driving habits than mine , i don't see them having to go through this or charging their cars at home!! they don'thave an answer and their solution as they tell me won't guarantee the car will work. And the worst part they all cost me money!it is sad that my investment and reliability on a family car is not giving me the confidence, safety and is a hazel when this happens. I have my toddler to transport and i hate to be stuck somewhere with no help.

Purchased new 11/30/2018. On 10/4/19 (mileage: 9,742), vehicle was parked and would not start. Dealership (northpark) claimed faulty battery and replaced. On 12/11/19 (mileage: 12,241), vehicle was parked and would not start. Same dealership replaced "faulty brake light switch". On 1/27/20 (mileage: 13,409), car was parked and would not start. Same dealership replaced "faulty battery". Each time vehicle was disabled, we were able to get it running by charging the battery and driving to the dealership, which is located 4-5 miles from home/work. It is noted that the voltage needle moves excessively while the vehicle is in use. It continues to do so at this time. Concerns were brought to the service advisor that it is not faulty batteries - however, service dept. Stated they have an diagnostic tests and cannot find anything wrong. On 1/27/20, called nissan consumer affairs but as of 1/29/20 my calls have not been returned.
Had battery replaced in october 2019 and brake switch due to vehicle not starting. I had to have vehicle towed. Now, having same issue with vehicle not starting. Having it towed to dealership in dallas
I keep receiving a message on my screen that says sonar system error please contact your dealer for assistance. Now, the alert for the tire, oil, and fitler will not reset.
Truck will not start after several attempts. Have had battery replaced in september due to the same problem. Have had the brake switched replaced due to dealership stating that they couldn't find a problem but replaced switch anyway (longview,tx). I took vehicle back to original dealership on today, clay cooley of dallas,tx and they provided me with a two page list of codes and asked has the vehicle ever been in a wreck. I told them not to my knowledge unless it happened before i purchased it from their lot. They stated that they couldn't make a diagnosis and this time and sent me back home with a vehicle that keeps me stranded and having to boost off.
Vehicle sonar system didn't warned driver about obstacle which resulted in hitting it causing damage to the rear while backing up bumper. It works fine 90% of the time but it didn't at least twice when my wife hit lamp and 2nd time poll . I took vehicle to baker nissan explained what happened but they didn't find anything wrong with it. When i asked how many times they tested it the response was: 1 timerepresentative tried backing up and 1 time mechanic.
When i am towing my 4000 lb trailer, using a weight distribution hitch, set up properly by my rv specialist, with either unloaded or witha loaded weight not exceeding even 6000 pounds, the armada sinks in the back end in a way that the rear tires come extremely close to the wheel well rims.my rv specialist is very concerned that if i am driving and hit a bump or hole, the tire could strike the wheel well rim and cause a blow out or major accident.they are concerned the spring ratio is not designed properly for the armada (which has a tow package and is supposedly capable of towing 8500 pounds).i have brought this issue to nissan north america's attention and they will not even take a look at the problem, instead telling me that if an accident occurs, it is covered under my warranty!
