Priority nissan mazda sold a 2010 nissan armada with an incorrect occupant classification system (ocs) electronic control unit (ecu) and refused to repair the safety defect.the incorrect ecu and seat combination may misclassify the front passenger seat occupant and will cause the airbag to malfunction during a crash. If the front passenger seat occupant is misclassified, the air bag may deploy incorrectly in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.according to priority nissan mazda of vienna va, the dealership found codes stored b1017 ocs control - needs passenger seat assembly to replace ocs unit.nissan has previous safety recalls for the same type of issue with all other years and models. I am afraid to drive this vehicle with my children as it is unsafe.

Takara recall: airbag light is flashing. Afraid the airbag will not work if in an accident. Nissan dealership will charge $1500.00 to repair. Vehicle hasn't been in an accident. Light came on while driving vehicle several weeks ago.

Side airbags deployed after hitting large pothole. I was taking my daughter and her friend home from a dance class and fortunately nobody was injured. There is no this airbags should have deployed. *ln

I have concerns with nissan vehicles losing power and dying while the vehicle is moving.when consumers take the vehicles in for diagnosis, the computer diagnostics cannot locate the problem.nissan service dept. Staff give unacceptable responses such as "we couldn't duplicate the problem." all they do is test drive the vehicles but the problem is not easily duplicated as it occurs randomly.i did a simple search on the nissan forums online and quickly discovered it is related to the intelligent power distribution module ("ipdm").sure enough, they replaced the ipdm at my request and no further problems.this is a serious problem with nissan vehicles yet there seems to be no past or current recalls related to this.when my wife and children are in a vehicle and it cannot sustain power and die in the middle of the road during traffic, this must certainly be an issue for consumer safety.nissan does not appear to be taking this seriously.when consumers have to self-diagnosis their vehicle problems when those same problems are readily apparent to consumers on internet forums, nissan is dropping the ball.it's not just armadas but the titan trucks as well.symptoms usually include a shuddering effect and instant loss of power with the vehicle starting right back up after the ignition key is turned on again. My nissan armada lost power on at least four separate occasions from august to september 2011.each time the vehicle was in motion whether it be strait ahead driving and making turns while in turning lanes; never when it was sitting idle.unbelievable that someone hasn't been in a crash or died from similar issues.

You can lock the lift gate but it will not unlock. You have to climb over seats and use emergency unlock.

Rear liftgate actuator locks but will not unlock the liftgate or window.

Driving on slightly wet road.started sprinkling for about five minutes. It was driving fine then on the road to my house in the city.it's windy and i was going maybe 10-15 miles an hour and it started spitting out like i was in snow or sleet i almost lost control. So i put i stopped and then i barely press on the gas it would start swerving again.even at less than 5 miles an hour. I had to go super slow how there was like there was no traction at all or no steering control. No lights came on or anything. Prior to that it was driving perfectly fine. I want to say it kind of felt like the left side had no traction for some reason but i don't know. It just felt weird like i was driving a seadoo

The vehicle dynamic control (vdc; aka stability control system), abs, brake, and 4x4 lights intermittently illuminate. At times, this is accompanied by failure of the speedometer. When illuminated, the vdc is switched off for certain, the 4x4 will not engage, and most likely the abs will not function properly. A search online (just look for nissan abs/vdc lights) reveals that this is a very common problem across virtually all nissan vehicles equipped with these systems, and that there have been multiple causes of this failure. Some solutions have ranged from recalibaration of various sensors to replacement of abs actuation modules ($1,000+ part). Many even report the problem occuring very shortly after purchase (i.e. While driving home from the dealership with only 15 miles on the vehicle), or within the first 30,000 miles. If the afflicted systems were to fail during an emergency situation, or even simply in poor weather conditions, it could easily result in loss of vehicle control resulting in an accident. It appears to be a systemic issue with multiple vehicle components being poorly manufactured, or poorly installed (some have reported loose ground screws from the factory as a root cause, or various speed/abs sensors installed on each wield being installed in such a way that the wires become chafed or damaged). I have been unable to find any tsb or recall data on this issue, but considering the costs for repairs that should not be needed, wide-spread frequency of this issue, and above all, the potential for serious damage or injury, there absolutely should be.

Locking of brakes, gas pedal, and steering wheel while driving in rush hour traffic.

Vehicle will crank but not start in very cold weather. Battery test good.

Radiator failed and lost all coolant.engine overheated causing major engine damage.

In july 2017 and at 90k miles , my 2010 nissan armada began leaking exhaust fumes into the passenger cabin and the fuel economy dropped significantly. I took it to an authorized nissan service station, which charged me $150 to diagnose a cracked catalytic converter exhaust manifold on both sides. The repair estimate was about $4,000 to replace the manifolds at the dealership. The manufacturer's warranty expired at 80k miles and i was told that this is a known problem with armada and titan models. I shopped around for estimates and had the manifolds replaced by an independent mechanic with aftermarket parts for a total cost of $2,100 with a 2-year/24k miles warranty. In 2020 and at 125k miles (3 years/30k miles later), the same issue occurred and the shop would not extend the warranty. The nissan dealership service department estimates the repair at $5,000, and the independent shop estimates $1,900. All of the mechanics (including the nissan dealership) have advised me that they don't think the car is worth the investment at 130k miles considering the trade value is around $5k. I can't afford this repair twice in 3 years, and i'm driving my family around breathing in co fumes that could harm or kill us. I primarily use the vehicle for day-to-day suburban driving with occasional camping trips - no hard or off-road use. Nissan should address this issue and reimburse the cost of repairs as this is a potentially fatal issue for drivers. I am now faced with a decision to invest almost half the value of my vehicle in a repair that may fail again, or to buy a new car i can't currently afford in the middle of a pandemic. Please hold the manufacturer accountable to its us customers.

The contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. The contact stated while driving, the contact could hear a loud sound coming from the rear of the vehicle when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic whom diagnosed the failure as the exhaust manifold needing replacement. The dealer was not contacted about the failure.the vehicle was not repaired.the manufacturer was not notified of the failure.the failure mileage was 127,000.

Passenger side head light, build up of moisture in the sealed unit, results in loss of headlight beam, degraded over 50 - 75%. Unable to access headlight inside where moisture accumulates to wipe clean. Dealer claims only solution is another assembly (problem will probably repeat). Safecar shows a tech bulletin, nissan claims it will dry, this is not the case and it degrades.this is a safety issue as the moisture and water degrades the vehicles headlight. Customer unable to access a sealed assembly.

Noticed condensation in driver's side headlight approximately 4 years ago.has never dried out.bulb in driver's side headlight went out and had to be replaced twice in the last year.it is now out again and headlight housing is holding water.the blinker still works but not the high and low beams.this is a safety issue when the bulbs go out. Picture uploaded of what it currently looks like.

Throttle control:within two days after purchase (9-5-09), there was erratic control of the engine.engine sputtered and accelerated without any pressure on the gas pedal and at other times the engine decelerated when pressure was applied to the gas pedal.on 9-9-09, the vehicle was taken to a nissan dealership and the throttle body of the engine was replaced.no incident since the repair.information only.

Purchased a 2010 nissan armada and the suspension seems to have just gone out when a code reader is connected to the obd2 censor it throw the code even though it was just replaced but the car lot orlando cars & trucks from eustis . I saw on most 2010 nissan armadas they fail . Also my sons seat in the back passenger side doesn?t stay clipped down . This is something huge for me . His safety is very important to me . Most days my car sounds like a jet is going to take off and i'm not sure if it is a hub assembly . But the seat situation is completely a malfunction it should stand any different than the way the otherback seats stand while sitting in them .

The contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked the vehicle was on and the transmission shifted out of gear independently. The vehicle then crashed into another parked vehicle while the gear shift lever was stuck in the park position. When the passenger exit the front passenger's side they were struck by the front door as the vehicle rolled. The passenger sustained injuries to the shoulder and left knee. The rear driver's side bumper exhibited two scratches and a small dent. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where it was currently being diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 63,000.

Letter from senator schumer on behalf of constituent re 2010 nissan armada se active recall.the consumer stated when he/she put the vehicle in reverse, the transmission changed hard, then the vdc off, brake, and slip lights illuminated. When the consumer put the vehicle in drive, and accelerated, the vehicle took off with more torque than it normally did. Upon trying to stop, the brakes went spongy, and came to a smooth stop, with the brake pedal all the way to the floor.

Locking of brakes, gas pedal, and steering wheel while driving in rush hour traffic.

The contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. The contact was driving 5 mph and making a turn while exiting a residential drive way. The vehicle then exhibited a popping noise from the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the dealer confirmed that both front brake lines needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileages were 26,000.

The contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. While driving approximately 50 mph, the contact noticed smoke emitting from the rear of the vehicle. Immediately the vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road where the contact detected the smoke originated from the rear driver's side brake caliper. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer who informed the brake caliper locked which resulted to the heated tire rim and smoke. The part was unavailable and the vehicle would be repaired upon the availability of the part. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 44,800.

Vehicle brakes on several occasions have randomly locked up. Latest incident occurred 5/2011 in which i was approaching a traffic circle attempted to apply brakes and they began to lock up and make a loud grinding noise and ceased up. After about 4 or 5 seconds the brakes seemed to release.the locking of brakes appears to be the same problem i had in a 2005 armada that also had bad rotors, of which i was assured when purchasing 2010 armada was not a issue.to date the breaks have locked 3 times since purchasing vehicle in 7/2010, with months in between occurrences.luckily i have been able to steer the vehicle out of harms way or the consequences could have been very serious or even fatal.the vehicle was taken to dealership at which timethey said and have said in the past that they can't find anything wrong. So there have been no attempted repairs or replacement of anything.i have also contacted nissan corporate and filed a complaint but they have done nothing since the dealership can't find a problem or duplicate the problem.but as it was with the 2005 armada, the problem is random and could never be reproduced when i took it in, but yet nissan knew it was valid problem with the model and came up with a reprogram for the abs. Apparently there have not been enough complaints to warrant a real investigation into this matter from nissan, they have instead elected to rely solely on what information they have received from dealership.nissan also suggested i leave my vehicle with dealership for several days.guess what, ihave already done that, for almost a week of which they came up with nothing.not one day has gone by that i don't think about what could happen when getting into my vehicle.this is no way to live, and perhaps the problem is not prevalent but it is a accident waiting to happen in my suv, and nissan is basically doing nothing.is today the day myself and or family doesn't make it home?

The contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the steering wheel seized with the illumination of the power steering warning light. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 61,000.

Locking of brakes, gas pedal, and steering wheel while driving in rush hour traffic.

The contact owns a 2010 nissan amarda. The contact attempted to access the rear liftgate; however, it failed to open due to the faulty rear door lock actuator. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 44,100.

The contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds she heard a loud noise. After stopping her vehicle she saw that the overhead console that controls the temperature and plays dvd's had fallen with all the wires attached. The contact also stated that the console was approximately 3' long and 1' wide. The vehicle has not been inspected by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact feels as though if there were someone seating in the second and third row of the vehicle they would have been severely injured.the failure and current mileage was approximately 25,000.

The contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. While driving 35 mph, the contact struck a pothole and the front and rear overhead consoles all fell down at once. The contact pulled the vehicle over and attempted to repair the vehicle, but was unsuccessful. The contact took the vehicle to gwatney buick gmc (5700 landers rd, north little rock, ar 72117, (501) 945-4444) and received a repair estimate. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 156,000.

I attempted to access the rear liftgate however, it failed to open after pushing unlock on the fob as well as unlocking manually on the interior door. Also attempted opening the glass hatch and that too does not unlock.searching online shows this is a very common problem dating as far back as 2004.club armada forum suggests it is due to the faulty rear door lock actuator and/or faulty locking mechanism. The vehicle was not repaired yet but need to schedule an appointment and determine if it si covered under warranty.

Rear liftgate actuator locks but will not unlock the liftgate or window.

Short desc = tires/wheels on my brand-new vehicle do not match the tire and loading placard, in violation of cfr571,110 s4.3.2.the vehicle is 2010 nissan armada platinum purchased new on jan 2, 2010 at nissan of st. Augustine, fl.placard says spare is 275/60 r20 and spare is actually 265/70 r18.the dealer says the 18" wheels are on all nissan armadas and they are safe to drive on and are considered a "full size spare", as specified on monroney sticker.i do not believe these would be safe and i plan to never use this spare.other purchasers may be at risk if they rely on the incorrect safety information and use the spare.

Rear console fell while driving, on freeway. Completely fell from ceiling only being attached by wiring. Very dangerous, just fortunate that no one was in the rear seats second and third row.

Vehicle was parked in driveway.went to leave house and the overhead rear console was hanging from ceiling by wires and console was resting on my child's car seat.fortunately my family was not in the vehicle at the time of failure.

Extremely loud knocking when hvac door opens and closes to accommodate the interior temperature changes. While moving or while parked. Whenever the engine is running.

I was making a left turn at a stop light when the complete ceiling console (lights, rear climate control button, sun roof buttons) fell out of ceiling of vehicle.i attempted to catch with one hand while controlling vehicle with other hand. Upon pulling over and parking vehicle, i found that some how the plastic had broken on both screws/bolts that was holding it in place. Not sure what could have caused this but the dropping of the unit completely startled me while driving.

When i went out to the garage to get something out of my truck this morning the front console had fallen completely down, and when i checked the rear console that one is lose.

The overhead console for my 2010 nissan armada fell off while driving and hit my son (seated in the middle second row) on the head. The plastic fasteners for the console just disintegrated and broke off. There were only 2 tiny fasteners for the huge console. When they broke off and the console swung down it broke off from the stereo control panel.this is ridiculous. I've read so many posts with the same complaint. Why hasn't this been recalled. This is a huge safety issue based on poor construction.

Is mine on a recall? , becauseone of 4readings'takata recall ' tires pressureon my vehicle is not working.

Driving the vehicle under normal city driving conditions the interior overhead console simply fell down and was left hanging by attached wires.nobody had touched or otherwise manipulated the console.it fell in two stages, at first it drooped and then moments later fell and luckily did not hit our daughter in the head.

I won a nissan armada 2010 and in 2017. Driving to work in the highway, i noticed a ratlling sound coming from the overhead console: the plastic latches are braking. In the next few days, the console failled down in the back seat but was stil hanging up by the wirings. I brougth my vehicle to the dealership where i do my oil change regulary for repair or replacement, they ask me $1000.00 for diagnostic of the problem and without it, they can not do the repair. I did not want to spend $1000.00 for diagnostic and get stucked with the repair bills afterward. I thingh they were dishonest and the issue must investigated and a recall must be issued.i have problem opening the rear liftgate or the glass hatch. Some answer.

The overhead console leading from the second to third row is starting to drop in my vehicle.this needs to be recalled and replaced as with children in the back rows, this could cause harm.
