My mechanic did a diagnostic and it showed driver side airbag module openmy airbag light on dashboard has been flashing for months
Several weeks ago the airbag warning light on the dashboard began flashing and has continued to do so to this day.i am filing this report to confirm others who have reported the same experience.
Airbag light randomly began flashing. Code pulled as b1035 crash zone sensor. This vehicle has never been in any type of accident.upon researching vehicle and code it shows the same year and makes of vehicles having exact symptoms as well as code of b1035. Even on the nhtsa website regarding this recall- it does show a picture on the pdf file of a nissan armada image showing instructions on how to install the recalled sensor. This needs to be reviewed immediately and make corrections with adding the armada being part of the recall. It has same exact sensor partand i feel that this should not be held on the vehicle owners part as clearly it is a defective part.there will be additional calls i will make if needed to the attorney general's office if this does not get resolved in a prompt manner and if an accident occurs and does not deploy airbags because of recalled part that was not appropriately added to a nhsta list, there will be legal advice sought regarding liability and injuries.
Driving need to use horn and it did not work checked all relays an fuse all good can not get it to work.
Rear lift-gate will not unlock and is inoperable. Emergency release inside vehicle also inoperable.
Driving one day on interstate way and city drivinganother car was drifting or attempted to crossinto my lane, went to use horn and it failed.has not been working, have noticed that volume control and cruise control has stopped working.dealer ship stated that the spiral cable is bad and have many of this assembly's available.
My 07 nissan armada is keeping me locked out of the back. The problem appears to be in the door lock actuator for the rear lift gate. This vehicle is only equipped with keyless entry system (you cannot unlock/open the rear gate with the key because there is no key hole). The problem manifested slowly, over time missing only occasionally on the unlock/engage handle for the rear door. Now it does not unlock at all.it appears that almost all armadas are having this system failure.the safety danger implications are enourmous in this case as this is an eight passenger vehicle with the potential to trap passengers in the rear bench area with no way out in an emergency (there is no way to open the rear door from the inside either).
2007 nissan armada. Consumer states vehicle broke down due to a factory defect faulty fuel gauge *tgwthe consumer stated ever since the vehicle broke down, it intermittently emits a tremendous amount of black smoke after starting it. When the consumer returned to pick up the vehicle for a third time, he was informed the engine was damaged to lack of oil changes. The consumer stated he has proof the oil was changed on a regular basis. Also, the tire pressure monitoring light illuminated, but no leaks were found and the battery had to be replaced.

2007 nissan armada with vehicle dynamic control (vdc) concern. Consumer believes that when the vdc lowers the engine power that this could cause an accident or injury could occur.the consumer stated the feature is always on when it detects the slightest drive wheel slip, or spin it does several automatic functions, such as applying certain braking and reducing the engine power output.the consumer stated the feature should have been created with a normal off function with the ability to be turned on by those who want to use it, or if conditions warrant it.
When i startmy vehiclea big white cloud of smoke come out the tailpipe.
The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. The contact stated that the odometer was unlawfully reset and inoperable. The contact mentioned that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the engine had sludge inside. As a result, the engine needed be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 111,000.
This is a concern.as a senior maintenance manger for the us army, recently retired, and a vast knowledge of mechanical, and safety training, i came across an issue that could be potentially fatal.the valve or rocker covers on the armada slant down, away and back from the engine.the bottom back corner of the valve cover sits perfectly over the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter (drivers side). If the seal is broken and the oil seeps out it will drain to the lowest point and drip down onto the top of the heat shield for the catalytic converter and pool under the converter. When the vehicle is driven that oil gets hot and burns and can possibly catch fire.depending on how much oil has dripped onto the heat shield and how long the vehicle is driven would determine the heat needed to generate a fire.depending on the size of the fire it is possible it could burn the fuel lines that run in the same area.
The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. The contact stated the vehicle would lose power when braking to a complete stop. Also, when driving at speeds of at least 30 mph, the vehicle would abnormally shake. The vehicle had been to the dealer seven times and only on one occasion did the dealer replaced the stabilizer bar to correct the shaking otherwise, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure mileage was 200 and the current mileage was 40,000. Remailed 07/14/2010
I have purchased a 2007 nissan armada in may of 2007. From the beginning of my purchase i have had problems with the stick shift. When the vehicle is in park and i want to turn into reverse. It gets stuck and it seems that it forces the transmission. The very next day of purchase l return the vehicle to the place of purchase. The lack of attention to my needs andi have been ignored. I have taken my vehicle to be check at napa nissan, napa, ca 94558 and every time l take it in they say that they don't see anything wrong with it and refuse to look at the inside of my vehicle.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. The contact stated that the air conditioning unit would activate and deactivate independently. In addition, the unit would only blow hot air. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer but was unable to have the vehicle inspected. The contact believed the failure was associated with nhtsa recall campaign id number: 08v284000 (equipment: electrical: air conditioner) but the dealer advised that the recall did not pertain to his year vehicle.the failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 54,000. The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. The driver stated thatthe fuel gauge was defective, causing the vehicle to run out of fuel while driving on the freeway at approximately 65 mph. The driver was able to safely pull over on the side of the freeway. The failure mileage was approximately 69,600. The current mileage was approximately 69,700.
I was driving when my vehicle shut down and i lost power steering.although my gas gauge said 1/4 tank, the end result was that i ran out of gas.i contacted nissan and they told me that the vehicle was taken in for a previous recall to fix this problem.obviously it didn't work, and the next time it happens one of my kids could be driving, or it could result in a serious accident.what can i even do to repair it, if the first repair didn't work?
On june 10th, 2010 i was driving home in the fast lane/ carpool lane (approx 2:15pm) and my car immediately decrease in acceleration.i knew i could not make it over to the right hand shoulder and i had to pull off into the left hand shoulder (this was very unsafe)i immediately called my roadside assistance and while i was on hold a highway patrol officer pulled up behind me.he was able to contact another patrol officer and they stopped all traffic and the first highway patrol officer pushed me to the righthand shoulder. The gas gauge was a little over 1/4 tank.the tow truck arrived and took me to the gas station - after putting in gas the car started right up. The gas station attendant said "wow, another nissan out of gas - do you know i get so many armadas' and infinities that come in here with no gas" i received a recall notice approx 2 months ago and immediately went to the nissan dealership - they informed me that the part was not yet available and they would call me, i contacted the dealership last friday and again today - they do not expect to receive this part for another 2-3 weeks.i called the nissan consumer affairs today and there is nothing they can do - i informed them that this was just like toyota and i requested a rental / loaner vehicle - they could not accomodate that request.this has put me in a terrifying situation.the woman at nissan consumer told me to keep my tank 1/2 full and i informed her that they letter i just received stated to keep it at a 1/4 tank full so that was a discrepancy.
Dear sir or ma'am:on christmas eve, in the evening, my husband, daughter, and i were driving back home from fairfield, illinois to glen carbon, illinois, when our 2007 nissan armada failed us.there was a house a short walk down the road, so my husband ran down there for assistance.obviously, it was cold and dark outside.my daughter (4 years old) and i (pregnant at the time) stayed inside the locked car.my husband came back quickly as there was no answer at the door of said house.he then called his sister whom was an hour away to have her come help assist us.meanwhile a man stopped and offered to help.he offered a jump start and gas.neither worked but he was able to call a local acquaintance of his to tow our vehicle.the charge for this service on christmas eve was $350.so my husband's sister picked us up, and our car was towed the remaining 45 minute distance to our home.after all was said and done, it turns out the car just needed an extra gallon of gas to get it started.now almost thirty days after this incident, i am in receipt of a recall notice from nissan stating that:the fuel gauge may be inaccurate due to a malfunction in the fuel level sending unit.given that, we file this complaint.i believe nissan is responsible for the circumstances of our christmas eve which cost us several hours and several hundred dollars.please advise.
2007 nissan armada. Consumer expresses discontent related to vehicle recall *tgwthe consumer stated it took nissan 7 months to send a notice stating the parts were available. However, the consumer had already taken the vehicle to the dealer because she was experiencing ongoing problems with the vehicle stalling. The dealer stated only what was listed on the recall would be repaired. The consumer had the vehicle towed to her personal mechanic and upon inspection, it was determined the problem was with the fuel pump.
I have a 2007 nissan armada which is currently on a recall on the fuel gauge. I have been having this problem for the past 2 years and have the dealer replace my fuel gauge twice within the last 2 years. Just recently, my armada fuel gauge start acting up and the fuel level does not read properly. My question is, how will i be able to trust nissan with the recall since they have replaced my gauge twice already? luckily they are fall within my warranty or else i have to pay big buck for replacement. I just don't feel comfortable even though they promise to replace the fuel gauge sensor which i have already been replace twice. Is there anyway i can return that truck to nissan for a replacement since they are still have problem with the sensor after replacement. In my case, it's twice and going to be the third time around. Please advise.

The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. While drivingapproximately 70 mph the vehicle stalled. The vehicle towed to an authorized dealer who stated that vehicle was out of fuel. The contact stated that her vehicle was included in the recall associated with nhtsa campaign id number 10v074000; however, the dealer did not have the parts available to perform the remedy.the vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were unknown.the vin was unavailable.

I was driving around 60 mph with my kids in the vehicle and push the brakes to stop at a stop sign and the brakes just went out. The brake light came on and stayed on. Grace of god there was nothing in front of me!!! the brakes was making a loud noise and felt like the wheels was about to come off. Finally i got the car to stop and pulled over to check and did not see anything out of the ordinary. I turn the car off and was scared to move it. I was getting ready to call a tow truck just before i started the car back up and the brake light was off and the truck seemed like nothing happened. This happens on several occasions with no warnings what so ever!!! i took it to nissan and they are saying it needs a brake booster which will cost around $1600. I contacted nissan about this because looking online it is thousands and thousands of people having the same issues with these trucks. They refused to help saying it is no recall on this issue. Now someone have to step up and recall these vehicles because i can guaranty its been deaths behind this issue!!! i am a disabled veteran with a wife and 3 kids and this truck is dangerous! i am reaching out to a lot of people including lawyers for veterans and i will not stop until the president of the united states tell me its nothing he can do! that is my next step! all you have to do is look online at all the complaints. Cnn has already been contacted as well, thanks!
We purchased the vehicle in december 2013.in march my wife was driving and pulling into a commercial parking lot and the brake light went on and when she applied the brakes, the whole vehicle shook and made a loud noise.it was obvious that it was a brake issue because it only happened when she pushed the brakes.i test drove it later that night and the problem did not reoccur.i told her we would watch and see if it happened again.i was driving the vehicle today and the same problem occurred.driving at about 20mph and turning into my neighborhood, the brake light came on and the brake pedal shook and the braking was about half as effective as usual.my wife does not feel comfortable driving the vehicle after this.
Driving at 50 miles per hour and suddenly the abs brakes turns red, i try to push thebrake pedaland it makes a loud grinding noise andthe brakesjust keeps on having like an up and down pressure and the vehicle would not stop. I askedsome armada owners andthey have a same problem . Very unsafe for a family man driving kids with faulty brake system. This happens 3 x already i have to pull over and shut down engine. Nhtsahelp us !
While driving our nissan armada our brake indicator light came on while driving 45mph downa city street.when my wife, who was driving attempted to stop at a stoplight the armada's brakes shuddered, went to thefloorplan of the vehicle and become spongy.as this happened nearly all braking capacity disappeared and my wife was barely able to stop.she pulled off the roadway stopped the vehicle and called for a tow service because it had scared her so badly.upon restarting the vehicle however, the problem disappeared to i, her husband, drove the car home with quite some anxiety and the problem would not replicate itself.i inspected all brake hardware, fluid levels, and there appears to be no actual problem.i am reading about many customers with similar model year nissan titans and armadas having identical problems with no real solution being made by nissan north america.what do i do?i am very scared for the safety of my wife and two small children.
I've had several near collisions because breaks slip as though the abs system is engaged and the brake light comes on. I have to find an area to pull off to stop the car then restart it to get rid of the problem temporarily.
Husband was driving the vehicle through a neighborhood traveling about 15mph. The brake light came one, the car began to shake and as he applied the brake, the car would not slow down. It finally rolled to a stop as he was pressing the break completely down to the ground. He pulled over, turned the car off for about 20 minutes. He re-started the car and it seemed to reset itself and drive normally. We are concerned as this is the first time this has happened. We are afraid to drive the vehicle on long distances or just anywhere for that matter. We are reading other complaints here and do not understand why this problem has not been corrected.
The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle suddenly stalled. The vehicle was able to restart and operated as normal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.
Brake light on my dash will come on and all of a sudden i hit the brake and a violent jerking and grinding sound on the brake. The brake feels like it would slip for little and but will still stop the vehicle. I turn the engine off and everything became normal again. I took it to the dealer to get check and they said that the were not able to mirror the problem and send the vehicle back to me. Now it happen several times again and i would just turn the engine off and resolves the issue. This issue has a class action lawsuit and won. There had been plenty of complaint regarding this problem too from other owners. What i don't understand is that why is there no recall regarding this problem still.. Why am i being force to pay for this defect first and then get partially reimbursed
The emergency brake light randomly comes on while driving and it causes the vehicle not to adequately stop properly. Once vehicle is powered fully off and restarted the vehicle functions normal. Nissan stated they can't find the issue with vehicle and don't know why and what causes this to happen. This is a very serious danger.
The brakes fail, make a grinding sound...apparently turning the car off resets the delta s sensor. Do a google search on nissan armada and brake booster and you will find many pages of the same complaint. It happened intermittantly over the course of several years. I took it to a dealer within the past year - they said they had never heard of it. Charged me $100 to confirm what i told them - bad brake booster, change delta sensor. They suggested i call nissan north america re: any acssitance with the 900+ fee to fix it. Nissan north america said they have never heard of this issue and said they would not assist in any way with the cost of repair.
Randomly when applying brakes during normal travelrangingand speeds from 25 to 70 a loud grinding noise is heard the brake light comes on in the vehicle is extremely hard to stop. If the vehicle is shut off the system will reset and it will be as if nothing happened. Took the vehicle to a local shop had the vehicle inspected with no discrepancies. It just happened again on 06 november.here is a link of other people experiencing the same thing. Http://m.carcomplaints.com/nissan/armada/2007/brakes/service_brakes.shtml
The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and attempting to decelerate, there was an abnormal increase in stopping distance as the vehicle shook violently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was determined that the brake booster had failed. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000.
The first time it happened i just pulled out of driveway.recently it has been happening while driving on the road. As i am driving or sitting in traffic the brake light comes on and when i try to put the brakes on there is grinding and loud noises. Each time, i need to pull over or right there on the road, i put the car in park and shut the engine off. Once i turn the car back on the brake light shuts off and i can continue to drive.during and after the time the light is on and shortly after it turns off, my braking distance is shortened and i have to press on the brakes a little harder than normal.this is a very dangerous situation for not only me but for all drivers especially if i am in traffic.
Known abs issue if researched online. Abs light turned on with brakes screeching sound .
While driving approx. 30 mph down city street in morning traffic, the emergency brake light randomly comes on and when i try to brake the car make a grinding noise and i do not have full braking power. When you turn the car off it resets and the car resumes to functioning normally. Local mechanic tested once, got no codes so replaced master cylinder. A week later it happens again; took it back and got a code c1179-brake booster....a $900+ job. Refuse to pay this kind of money when research show that this did not resolve the issue. Wrote to nissan but got no reply. Conducted a search and found that hundreds of people are having the same issue.
The red brake light comes on intermittently when not pressing the pedal.then when i try to stop it's as though i only have abs brakes. I hear the sound of the anti locks working and the vehicle shudders. It takes extra space and force to stop when this happens and there is no warning other than the light coming on. The problem goes away when you turn the vehicle off and back on. I have asked two different nissan dealers if they have heard of the issue and both have said no which is odd considering there are hundreds of online posts and a class action law suit. Here is a link to a you tube video of the issue. Http://youtu.be/jvcrd2lxti8.
As i am driving the emergency brake light comes on. When i tap the brakes they are grinding in the vehicle shutters as if the brakes are worn out. The only way to resolve it is to turn the vehicle off and turn it back on. This has happened repeatedly when i am in stop and go traffic and freeway driving. I am now reporting this, because i just now discovered the site. Researching online there are several instances like this with the 2007 armada. This issue needs to be resolved.
Traveling down interstate when traffic slowed due to construction. When brakes were applied, a screeching grinding sound was made and brakes didn't stop properly. Vehicle took much longer to stop than normal. Immediately after, the "brake" warning light came on. After the vehicle was turned off and back on, it went off. This has happened one other time less than a year ago. I don't know the exact date so for date of incident, today's was used. Have read on multiple online forums where this is a very common problem with nissan armada's and nissan has failed to do anything about it.
Brake light indicator came on. Brakes became unresponsive. When pushing the brake pedal, the brakes made a crunchy noise, like metal rubbing together. There was a lot of noise. It was difficult to stop the vehicle. I was in motion on a city street. When i turned the car off and back on, it went back to "normal" with no brake light indicator on.
While driving approximately 50 mph i experienced a loss of >70% braking power, vehicle shudder & the brake light came on. I did not feel that i had control of the vehicle. I was traveling on westbound 520 which is under construction, with no emergency lanes and during a driving rain storm. Traffic was terrible and i was scared to death. I had to drive into downtown seattle before i could safely pull over. This is the 4th incident. The 1st was december 26, 2010 with my daughter and 4 grandchildren in the car. The last three have occurred in the last 40 days during trips to portland at speeds of 55 to 70 mph.
The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. The contact stated that the brakes malfunctioned when applied and caused an increase in stopping distance.the contact shut off the vehicle and once restarted, the vehicle operated normally. The failure was recurring. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to diagnose the failure. No repairs were performed. The contact notified the manufacturer of the failure but no solution was offered.the failure mileage was 50,000. Updated 11/28/14*ljthe consumer stated the brake light illuminated. 01/27/15
I was going down the road and the brake light came on the vehicle. I came up to a red light was mashing the brakes to stop the car was making a funny noise it was not wanting to stop. I finally got stop pull into the gas station turn the car off and started the car back up and the light was off. This is the third time it has happen to me.
I think i already report the same problem that i experienced last year about the brake. I was driving suddenly i noticed the brake warning light is on then i applied the brake but it wont work and i heard a grinding sound. Pulled to the side stop the car turn back on and works perfectly normal. I took to the dealer. Mechanic advisor told me to replace the brake booster. But when i asked about the code and what is really wrong with it he can not provide me a code. So i decided not to replace it cuz i don't know if the whole brake booster have the problem, cuz he cannot give me exactly what is wrong with it and no code pop up when he diagnosed it. He advised me to drive it again so when i experience it again take it back to him. But i don't want to drive my truck with a brake problem cuz i don't know when is going to happen. I don't want to hurt myself off guard or i might hurt somebody else. From a concerned citizen.
Driving on a residential street at approximately 35 mph.the brake light came on and when the brakes were applied, the pedal went almost to the floor, the abs engaged and the braking power was reduced by 70% or greater.the vehicle was parked and shut off for an extended period of time and the system appeared to reset itself.identical issue have occurred in july and august.brake pads, rotors and fluid levels were checked and all were okay. I contacted a local nissan dealership who advised that there were no recalls on that model year, but other years have been recalled for similar incidents.
While pulling out of a parking lot my brake light came on while pressing the brakes, the pedal went to the floor and there were no brakes. There was a grinding sound and a fluttering feeling in the brakes. I used my parking brake to come to a stop. This is the second time this happened, first was about 6 months ago on highway exit ramp (luckily i was going up hill at the time). Once you turn off the vehicle and restart the problem disappears. I have found numerous accounts of this same situation happening to armada owners who have found it to be the brake booster. This is a very serious issue with the abs braking system and needs to be addressed by nissan.
The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. The contact stated that while driving 75 mph and depressing the brakes to exit the highway, the vehicle did not respond. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis who stated that they needed to replace the brake booster. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The failure mileage was 54,000 and the current mileage was 55,000.
I have had this recurring experience off and on more than 10 times for at least the past 4 years. There is no known pattern of occurrence. It happens sometimes while i am driving and all of a sudden i hear popping or crunching noises below the vehicle and then the brake indicator light on the dash board will turn on. Then i feel i am loosing the ability to stop the vehicle as i carefully move over to the shoulder of the road with brake indicator light and popping noise still on. Due to this problem, my wife have stopped using this vehicle.once safely off the road, this problem is often resolved by turning off and on the ignition and all will be well until the next occurrence. However, after yesterday's (09/27/2014) occurrence which was very scary, i called our nearest nissan dealer and scheduled to have the vehicle inspected next tuesday (10/01/2014). Out of curiosity, i decided to research this problem on the internet and was surprised to find hundreds of armada owners with a similar problem and sense of helplessness with nissan's reluctance to acknowledge this problem. I feel action should be taken immediately to address this potentially dangerous problem before someone losses their life.
While driving during rush hour, brake light came on and pressing on brakes heard creaking and grinding noise, brakes went to floor and barely stopped before hitting car in front of me.after stopping in parking lot and turning car off, apparently resetting sensor, brakes worked ok.auto tech checked it out and gave me code c1179.
I have a 2007 nissan armada this is about the 5th time that the brake light has come on and when you try to stop the carit won't. The car will start making grind noises and don't won't to stop. When you get it stop you have to turn to car off for everything to reset and it works fine. This is a safety hazard and is going to get someone hurt if not killed.
Brake light comes on while driving. So i started driving slowly. I tried to push the brake and i hear a loud grinding noise on the left front, and pedal goes to the floor. When you turn it off the ignition it goes back to the normal operation.
Over the course of owning this car the emergency brake will come on while i am driving. This causes the brakes to not work correctly and is very dangerous. I will be driving and the incident will occur without warning. I have contacted nissan several times but they have been unable to correct the problem. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle.
While driving, my emergency brake light comes on and my brakes make a crunching noise and do not give full braking power when i am stopping. It happened while i've been driving on city streets at 20 mps or on the highway at 70 mph.the brake problem will continue until i turn off the car.the problem began several years ago but it would occur maybe twice a year.over the past year, the instances have grown dramatically.it's happened 3 times in the past 2 days.like others out there, the dealer tells me that they don't see anything wrong with it (the brake light hasn't been on), but i strongly disagree.this problem is jeopardizing mine and my family's lives and it needs to be corrected asap!
Absmalfunction while driving ,it happens all the time it grinds and it will not stop right awayim scared it will cause accident.the problem disappear when you turn off the engine.then it will happen again lights will come on brakes grind and you wont be able to stop the vehicle right away.i almost have a crash a lot of times when this problem happen.please investigate to all nissan armada owners.
I was traveling on the interstate and when i stepped on the brake, my brake light came on immediately, a loud clunking noise, the brake petal became very mushy, & i had to press it all the way to the floor in order to stop.fortunately i was exiting the interstate with no other vehicles close.front and rear brakes had been replaced recently and all looked fine when we pulled over to check them.when we turned the vehicle back on the light was off and the brakes functioned normally.decided to drive to relatives home close by, about 3 miles down the road same thing happened again.turned vehicle off and restarted again the brakes were back to normal.this same problem occurs sporadically and each time resolves temporarily by turning vehicle off and back on. Serious safety concerns, always keep plenty of stopping distance just in case.
We were on our way to mexico on hwy 10 afte a 2 hour drive we decided we needed a break,so we got off the fwy to get something to eat..as we exit our brake lights go on!!! and you hear a terrible grinding sound as if we don't have brakes. ..we pull over as soon as we can, my kids and i exit the car and my turns it off that way he can take a look at it...he turns it back on and problem solved. .thi was to nervous to continue the trip..lately it happens more comfortable often. .it's scary!
The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. While driving approximately 35 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal and noticed a vibration and grinding noise in the brake pedal. The vehicle was hesitant to respond. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing where the technician advised that the brake booster and the delta sensor would have to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.
While driving the car will slow down and i will notice the brake light is on. Then i will hear like a grinding sound. As if im driving with emergency brakes on. The parking brakes engage while im driving. We took car to a nissan dealer for servicing but they could not detect any problem. There is certainly a problem with braking system. I am afraid this will cause an accident. It has happened about 7 times in the last 2 weeks. We just got new brakes on oct. 5 2019. This problem a few years ago and it will happen a few times a year but lately its happening more often. It staryed back on or about oct.1, 2019.
The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 40 mph, the brake pedal was depressed as a loud noise emitted with the illumination of the brake warning indicator. After the engine was turned off and restarted, the vehicle resumed normally. The failure became progressively worse over time. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
Just stopped at a stop sign. After crossing the street attempting to make a right turn attired to slow down my car lost pressure in the brake with grinding when fully pressing brake.able to come to a stop after about 10 feet.looked up and emergency brake light was on.put car in park and engaged/disengaged emergency brake.emergency brake light never went off. Pulled into parking lot and tried to stop with the same grinding/loss of brake pressure. Put my car in park and turned off ignition. Started car and emergency brake light went off and brakes worked. After researching this on multiple website this is a problem multitudes of nissan owners are experiencing. I would have not been able to stop or slow down at a higher rate of speed. According to research this is a delta brake sensor. There is a class action lawsuit for 04-06 models regarding this problem.this issue is still occurring. Nissan will only fix for around 1000.00.
Applied the brakes while driving at approximately 25 mph, there was a loud grinding sound from the brakes and the brakes did not work. Also, made a strange sound like a spring. Pumping brakes and pushing them really hard didn't make any difference. The brakes had almost no effect in stopping the car. Fortunately, no one was killed or injured this time, but if this had happened a minute earlier on the steep hill we live on the result could have been very different. When the ignition was turned off and back on again the brakes appear to work fine.a quick search turns up many other nissan owners with the same experience when this brake system glitches. This is a more serious problem than the toyota accelerator problem because this problem disables the brakes when it occurs!! also, many owners report that the nissan tsb instructions to re-program abs and ecm computers does not reliably fix this problem as many have experienced reoccurences after this remedy. Nissan needs to issue a safety recall and ensure a reliable remedy for brake failure or someone will be killed by this.
Having issue with brakes, my brake pedal goes down almost to the floor and i get the awful squealing sound. My brake light would come on.but when i turn the car off and back on the problem goes away. This has happened three times this week.i have spoken to two other owners of the same vehicle and they have experienced the same problem at different times. Also i checked an online forum for armada owners (clubarmada.com) and the problem is listed their also.
The contact owns a 2007 nissan armada. While driving 30 mph, the brake warning light illuminated. In addition, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle began to vibrate and took a longer distance to stop the vehicle. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 73,000.updated 09/06/16*lj
Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)drove 2007 nissan armada se w/ mileage 30,756 and have noticed in the months prior that wheel shakes when coming to a stop but thought the truck needed alignment, got it aligned and problem still continued.yesterday 4/10/2010 while driving around town i got to super target and as i went into the entrance and came to the stop sign i noticed that my brake pedal went all the way down.truck barely stopped and made a very loud grinding sound like the abs was failing.i pulled over as customers at the store were all looking at my truck because the noise was very loud.also brake light was on.i then got out of truck and inspected for brake fluid problems and such and found nothing.i called nissan "maroone nissan of delray" at around 1:35pm and the service guy there [xxx] told me to turn truck off and on.i did, the brake light went off.was advised it was a computer problem.truck was fine to drive.i told them i was not driving a death trap and had the truck towed via blakes towing through roadside assistance.maroone nissan said truck is 2 weeks out of warranty, will see about problem.if problem is found, they will contact nissan to see if they will fix it for free if it's a booster brake problem, if not i will just have to drive until it acts up.my biggest fear, brakes going out on highway or in town, not being able to stop this 8k lb. Truck and possibly dying or killing someone because my truck cant stop.once truck is turned offthe computer resets - nobody would ever know it was the brakes.and i am terrified of that because i have (2) small children and a teenager.i drive daily.i beg for your help getting this problem addressed.[xxx]
Since approximately 34,000 miles i have experienced intermittent problems with the abs system on my 2004 nissan armada. Periodically while driving, the brake light will illuminate when brakes are applied and the abs system activates. The brakes begin to groan, are spongy, have reduced braking power, and make a sound like a large spring being released. The vehicle continues these symptoms until the ignition is turned off. The speed at which the event occurs varies from 5 to 50mph. This has happened an average of once every 2 to 3 weeks since may 2007. If the vehicle is turned off and then on again the system resets and performs normally. Each time i took the car to the dealership no problem codes could be found and there were no symptoms. I was finally able to take the vehicle to the dealer while the malfunction was occurring and take a test drive with a technician. His first words upon driving the vehicle were ?sounds and feels like the abs acting up.? he then checked for codes and found c1179.the technician reprogrammed the abs under ntb06-040 program. One week later the problem re-occurred and has been happening every 2 to 3 weeks since. I was able to bring the car in again while malfunctioning and the same problem code c1179 was found even after the tsb fix.

5 years ago another car jumped in front of suv i went to use horn it did not work. I had it replaced at an expenseve price. And just the other day a little child ran out from is yard i went to use horn and again it has stoped working
The paint on my hood and roof has discolored. It looks like the clear coat was defective. I've noticed it on many other nissan armadas and nissan titan pick up trucks. Is there a pattern on lousy paint coatings?
Rear lift-gate will not unlock and is inoperable. Emergency release inside vehicle also inoperable.
Control arm front and rear twice 2014 and 2015

The contact had to continuously maneuver the steering wheel in order to keep the vehicle in position. The tire pressure warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that the rear passenger side rim had fractured. The vehicle was taken to a dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact was aware of nhtsa campaign number: 10e019000 (suspension) but the vin was not included. The failure mileage was 160,000.
My 2007 nissan armada with only 32,000 miles on itshakes violently when i hit a pothole between 40 to 60 mph. After slowing down tounder 40 mph, it stopsthe shimmy and shake.this sounds like the "death wobble" that has plagued jeep in the past.the tires and suspension are factory stock with no modifications or aftermarket items.

Bought the vehicle new in january, 2007.noticed a crack in the windshield one day in april without a particular incident to have caused such a crack.there was no indication that a rock had chipped the windshield causing the crack.a new windshield was installed on 5/2/2007.afterwards, i have knowledge of three other 2007 model nissan vehicles (armada, altima, titan) that have similar windshield cracks without apparent causes.
