Recently driving my nissan 350z along a highway, the airbags for no reason, deployed on their own. It was sheer luck that i wasn't killed. You would think nissan would take responsibility for this problem with their airbags, but no! nissan won't fix the car until i sign a legal release letter so they can't be sued.

I was told, by the dealer, that the airbags on my 2004 nissan 350z will no longer work unless i replace the left and right modules and sensor at an approx cost of $1700.nissan is no longer willing to warranty the aribags, since the car has 116,000 miles (per 2/5/10 call from consumer affairs division).their wty is 60 mos or 60k miles; however, the seat belt wty is 120 mos. Or 120k miles.the airbags are a safety issue that are just as important in the event of a crash as seat belts.they have never been deployed.i suggested nissan reconsider the air bag wty and assist me with getting this ($1700) issue resolved as i cannot afford to.they declined my offer.i do not feel safe driving the car if the air bags will not deploy in the event of a crash.i am trying to proactively avoid serious injury or a fatality in the event of a crash.

Airbag light on 2004 350z touring roadster continues to flash.diagnostic investigation gives no particular code that leads to prompt correction of airbag system malfunction.

I bought a 2004 z350 and i bought it on mother's day last month and i got the car in the abarat was already on the car the light was already on when i purchased a car from a dealership and i was told that it was against the law to sell a car with the airbag light on.

My car light just came on. I never had an accident with my car since i purchased it from palm springs nissan. In 2004

On 06/08/09, i took my nissan 350z in to for an oil change and because the air bag light was flashing.i received a call later that day indicating that the 'entire system would need to be replaced'.the costs quoted for this service were: - diagnosis (already paid)$120.00- replacement of 2 parts$1,450.00- tax, repair not estimatedthe car has only 31,360 miles on it and has always been garaged and seldom driven in the winter.i have never had this type of problem with any other vehicle that i have owned.the car was purchased at this dealer on 04/28/04 and is 5 years and 2 weeks old.i spoke with the regional specialist on 6/15/09), and she informed me that nissan was not willing to provide me any assistance in this matter.she said she had also covered this with the district manager.

Airbag warning light illuminated on dash on 2004 350z nissan.this vehicle is not listed for nissan airbag recall.within warranty period the airbag was previously replaced by planet nissan (dealer las vegas, nv) in 2004 or 2005,not sure of specific date.dealership said it wasn't covered under warranty but they would take care of it.

Air bag fault light for passenger seat stayed on. Investigation by nissan determined it to be a faulty sensor. Another incident occurred on 3/05/14, with same problem. Appears to be the same problem as recall of 2013-2014 nissans. I think recall should be extended to include my 2004 z350.

Passenger side a/b deployed and seatbelt tensioner is taught and appears to have worked. Driver side a/b did not deploy and seatbelt tensioner is not taught and appears to have failed. Mva involved a head on accident to the left front side of the 350 z convertible. Impact was at 40mph. Srs lights are not indicating that the a/b deployed.

Dt*: the contact stated after getting a carwash, it was noticed that a dimple had formed on the dashboard above the passenger airbag.the dimple worsened through time and the dashboard eventually caved in.on 10/13/06, the dealer was contacted, and determined that the entire airbag system had failed.the airbags and dashboard needed to be replaced.the contact planned to notify the manufacturer after filing a complaint with the nhtsa.

The contact owns a 2004 nissan 350z. The contact stated that the air bag sensor warning lamp illuminated. In addition, the water temperature and fuel level gauges continuously fluctuated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 68,500 and the current mileage was 71,755.

I was involved in a near fatal auto accident, which nissan didn't report to the death and injury reports done every quarter per annual year.the accident almost left me paralyzed and i broke over 6 bones in various body part locations due to the car not living up to the "safety" features the maker boasted to have which falsely lead me to buy the car and nearly killed me during an accident, at no fault of mine.the accident was on 1-18-2006, the vehicle a total loss, and occurred in arizona on interstate 51 in phoenix az. I was rear ended, while sitting in traffic pile-up during rush hour traffic. The other driver was estimated to be driving upon impact at 43 mph. I had my sealtbelt on, which broke my collarbone, and a rib. I also ruptured a silicone breast implant from the force of the car into the steering wheel. The air bags didn't deploy, the leg and feet compartment for the driver area caused one foot i had on the brake, to break the sessamoid bone; the rt knee was thrown into the steering column and i broke my patella and tore my meniscus. Both required surgery, both on opposite legs. I required surgery for the ruptured implant. My neck was fractured and the blow and whiplash from the inadequate head restraint caused vertigo for nearly 3 months. I suffered brain bruising and swelling from hitting my head against the headrest after being thrust forward without an airbag to cushion the jolting of the neck and spine. My thoracic spine was fractured, and remains that way since i've opted not to have surgery. The lumbar spine has a ruptured disk and developed a mass from the impact blunt force trauma that developed from the other drivers car hitting my rear end of the car and the seat thrusting all the contents of the vehicles structure into the seat behind where i sat. I had surgery on the removal of the mass and the lumbar spine repair 3 times. My life was completely destroyed as a result of the false misleading claims the nissan manufacturer and dealer claimed.

2004 nissan 350z.current mileage - 58,000+.purchased new from a local dealer in november of 2004, after searching all of the dealers in central florida for the z that had the trim and safety package that we wanted.beginning in 2007, the vehicle has had ongoing problems with the airbag light / airbags / diagnostic unit:08/08/07 - airbag light is on - ?false code?08/14/08 - airbag light is on - ?ordered left side airbag?08/27/08- ?replaced failed left airbag unit?11/11/08 - airbag light is on - ?found pass codes clear all ok?05/03/10 - airbag light is on - ?needs diag unit and pass side curtain air bag?06/22/10- ?replaced diag unit and rh side module?11/08/10 - airbag light is on - ?recommend lh front side air bag and diagnosis sensor?we were told by our dealer that the diagnosis sensor would be covered under warranty because it was less than five months since it had been replaced, but that we would need to pay over $700 for the airbag to be replaced. Logic tells us that the airbag may not need to be replaced if the diagnosis sensor is bad, but our local dealer is telling us that nissan will not allow the diagnosis sensor to be replaced without also replacing the airbag.logic also tells us that, unlike other parts, the airbags are not ?wearing? items that require maintenance or replacement (unless they deploy, of course), so why do they need replacing?we contacted nissan usa and asked that the faulty diagnosis sensor be replaced with one that will work for longer than five months, and will stop giving false codes.we also asked nissan to replace the airbag at no cost to us because it is their 'requirement'.this morning, a regional representative from nissan usa finally contacted us, and we were told that we would have to pay for the airbag if we wanted the faulty diagnosis sensor replaced!our concern is for our safety.what will happen if we have an accident?will any of the airbags deploy?? *ln

The contact owns a 2004 nissan 350z. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated upon starting the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they were unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance. The contact also stated that while driving 35 mph, the vehicle surged forward and accelerated to 70 mph. The vehicle eventually stopped on its own. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the throttle body was repaired. The failure continued. The failure mileage was 100,000.

Two car accident on 5/29/10 at 5:12 p.m. On interstate i-40 westbound at sara road, candian county, oklahoma. During highly congested traffic, i rear-ended a 2007 buick enclave with my 2004 nissan 350 z at approximately 45 mph.the passenger airbag deployed, but the drivers airbag did not deploy.

My daughter was driving in orlando when her check engine light and the slip control light came on and the engine lost power and stalled.we had to have the vehicle towed to an orlando nissan dealer.they diagnosed it as the camshaft and crankshaft sensors and we had to have it fixed at a cost of $815.65.i recently contacted nissan about this as i saw there was a nissan recall (no. R2022) on the camshaft and crankshaft sensors.however, nissan informed me that my car was not included in the recall as the recall was for 2003 vehicles.they stated the recall was vin specific.i believe it should be symptom specific as the symptoms of the vehicle in this incident were exactly the same as what was described in the recall.

My nissan 350z the gas gauge is currently not working.i can fill my car to capacity and within a day the light indicator for empty is on.i was informed that there was a recall for this problem and i never received a notice.

The fuel gauge en the speedoometer does not tell the correct amount of gas in the car. It says there is fuel when the care is actually empty causing me to get out of gas for several times. I took it to the dealership and they told me the only way to repare it is to change the whole speedometer, and that the cost of it is almost a $1,000.00. This is a lot of trouble for me because i have to fill up the car every 2 to 3 days so the car doesn,t leave me with out fuel.

While driving on a winding stretch of a two lane highway my 350z went into an unexpected 360 degree spin.it was a little misty outside.the road was damp, but not wet.the temperature was in the low 40's deg f.i was traveling at about 45 mph in a 45 mph zone.i had just barely started into an average left turn (i.e., not a tight turn) when the car started to spin.i took my foot off the accelerator, but did not brake.i turned the steering wheel opposite of the direction of the spin, but the car did not straighten out.when it appeared i was going to run into the side of mountain head on, i turned the steering wheel in the direction of the spin, which, as expected, caused it to spin a little faster.the car ended up on the shoulder of the opposite lane.fortunately, i didn't hit anything.i checked the tires afterward and they appeared normal.i went back over the section of road, but saw nothing unusual.this happened about three weeks ago.i haven't noticed anything since then, but i haven't pushed it either.to me it seems this should not have happened and that even if it did, the dynamic stability control system should have straightened the car out.i have owned this car for more than 4 years.from my experience under normal circumstances i should have been able to easily have negotiated this turn at least 15 mph faster than i was driving.this is a road that i travel often.i took the car to the dealer and gave them copies of similar nhtsa complaints for this car.the dealer was unaware of a generic problem that would cause this problem.the dealer will check with the nissan rep and get back to me.

I have had a problem with the neutral safety switch causing the car to periodically not start. A mechanic made a previous diagnosis but said there were no safety concerns.the car eventually would start all, requiring downtime for repair. Sometimes after sitting over night and sometimes after several errands the car won't start but never this sudden stall. Today, the car stalled while i was in the middle of slowing down to make a left hand turn. It was a two lane mountain road.cars were able to get around me without incident and i was able to coast backwards to a place of safety.i let the car sit for about 10 min. Which is my usually what i do when it won't start.put it in neutral after releasing the locked gear shift, with foot on the break, started the car. I am thankful that i hadn't yet merged onto the freeway.

350z recall.2004 350z . Original owner of car.a couple weeks ago, while driving car hesitated, then resumed but check engine light tcs off light and slip lights on, and remained on.this week while driving 40mph without warning the car hesitated but actually stalled. I was able to somewhat safely pull to right side of road.after 15 minutes of making several phonecalls the car just started as if nothing was wrong and i drove it home.today it started fine.while enroute to nissan dealership service garage 1 mile to go when at 70mph stalls while in nearing five oclock traffic.thankfully able to somewhat safely get out of driving lane onto shoulder with steering wheel and brake pedal increasingly becoming harderto operate, put on flashers and waited.i was able to start after 15 minutes without any accidents and shakily took to dealership.

Service engine warning light is on. Car turns of without warning while operating. Cam shaft sensor warning. Car is currently parked outside home.

The car at 28,241 needed a drive belt, new clutch and flywheel.keep up with all required maintenance and know how to drive cars with clutches (35 years). Geico sent representative to inspect the car and noted that it was not the normal wear and tear for this car and agree to repair it. This was after i call nissan regional consumer affairs office and they offer to do nothing. Kristen found out that my insurance company took care the repairs and only offered to see the invoice after i suggested they paid the deductibles. So far no answer. An investigation should be done on the problems of listed above. Next, airbag was listed.

I purchased a 2004 nissan 350z touring model in july 2004 and have put approximately 10,000 miles on it since then. The car ran out of oil in the first 5,000 miles. Since then, i have had to add, on average, around 2 to 3 quarts of oil every 3,000 miles. Several dealers insist that this is normal.my local dealer finally began a oil consumption test and noticed the car needed 3 to 4 quarts of oil after 2,000 miles. The dealer called nissan and nissan said that this was a known issue with the pcv valve. Nissan advised the dealer to replace the valve gaskets. I am concerned that permanent damage has already been done to the engine.

My 2004 nissan 350z with 36,000 miles uses one quart of oil every 500 miles.my factory powertrain warranty expired january 31, 2009 (34 days ago).nissan is not illing to 'goodwill' my complaint even though the vehicle is 14,000 miles below the factory mileage warranty of 50,000 miles and the fact that this issues began months before january 31, 2008.

I live in alaska and nissan 350z does not start and/or want to start in any weather under 10 degrees. The car door will not close, and gas cap does not want to open. The car has beenprepared for winter.

Vehicle front end is unable to be aligned despite four attempts by nissan. Apparent design defect in the suspension causing tires to go bald at 6k miles. Car pulls to the right and is dangerous to drive. Car was supposed to have been fixed today. Car was picked up and died from electrical engine component failure immediately after being picked up. Car was towed back to nissan again..

I have a 2004 350z coupe i bought it brand new in sept.2003 assortment of problemsthat the dealer is unable to fix: 1. Loud clutch chatter while car is idling and also when accelerating & decelerating in 1st & 2nd gear. 2. Transmission clank when shifting gears feels like the tyranny is loose. 3. When car is idling the engine appears to be misfiringand engine is knocking. I have been having these problems ever since i purchased the car and 6000 miles later still not fixed.

2004 nissan 350z. Consumer writes regarding motor problems *tgwthe consumer stated the vehicle consumed an excessive amount of oil. The consumer stated nissan knowingly has engine problems with the 350z engines using excessive amounts of oil which passes through the piston rings out the exhaust that is polluting the environment.

I purchased a brand new 2004 nissan 350z on december 20th, 2004.the car had 12 miles on it at the time of purchase, i have been the sole owner of the vehicle.anyway i just want to report a problem that the manufacture just doesn't want to admit or deal with.basically i started having idle issue somewhere in the spring of 2005 with roughly 3000 miles on the car.the car would start to develop a rough idle with the ac off.when i first noticed the problem and contacted the nissan, they tried to tell me its normal as the 350z is their "sports car".not believe in what they said, i started looking at other 350z and other nissan that use the same engine for the same issue.it turns out i couldn't find any with the problem, i have had to live with the "sports car" not idling problem since then.when i contacted nissan about it time after time, they eventually blacklisted me and not return any of my phone call.a complaint with the bbb was no help neither.the problem continued to get worse until november 16th when the car stalled for the first time under the rough idle.the car was running and was sitting at the stop light.after a few seconds of rough idling, the engine just gave out and died on the spot.it refired right after, but it was potentially hazardous as the light turned green right when it stalled.i was lucky not to be crush by the cars behind me on that instance.since then, the problem pop up from time to time, i would say a total of 10 times in the past three months.can you please help, the problem is not safe as the car could just die any second. Please call me at [xxx] if you have questions. (the car doesn't stall all the time, but the bad idle is definitely there). Also i would like to add the wear on the tires on my 2004 350z.i understand nissan "supposedly" fix the problem, but my car is still wearing front tires like no others.the tires are feathering quickly and develop vibration on the car at the same time.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of informat

While driving 40 mph, the vehicle's traction control engaged on it's own.however, the road was dry and not wet.the driver applied the brake pedal and the vehicle stalled.the driver tried to restartthe vehicle and was able to do so.the vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection.the mechanic informed the driver that it was normal. Please provide further details.

The navigation system door sticks. This has occurred 5 or 6 times. The dealer has replaced the door, the motor and the entire unit and it's happening again.

Hello, i was leaving a stop sign barely moving and all of a sudden it sounded like a gun going offin my car. Before i could grasp my next thoughtmy car flipped completely over on its side no tires touching the ground!i had to crawl out passenger window . Upon inspection of vehicle this is what was found.

During normal operation of a 2004 nissan 350z the fuel tank was puncher and approximately 15 gallons of gasoline spilled onto the road.i was traveling at aprox. 30 mph on surface streets when i heard a pop & continued driving for about 2 miles.when i got out of the car i discover gas was heavily pouring out.the fire department and police secured and cleaned the area then towed the car.according to the dealership a small piece of road debris, that they believe to be metal, punched the fuel tank.the dealership has also confirmed that no safe guards are in place and no protective measures have been taken to prevent this type of incident from occurring in the location where the hole exists.nissan has indicated to me that they do not believe this to be a safety concern & are unwilling to assume the cost of repairs or put safety measures in place to prevent this type of incident from occurring in the future because a safety recall has not occurred. Prichard made this decision.her contact information is 1-800-647-7261 ext. 3851.on my mind just the fact that this happened proves that the nissan 350z is susceptible to fuel tank punctures, which could lead to fire.this is clearly a safety defect, which is probable to cause serious personal injury and possibly death.in the interest of public safety nissan should be required to take preventive measures to ensure that the fuel tank is not exposed to road debris.

I have a 2004 350z nissan i bought used in 2007 @ 16k miles. I'm unable to fill the fuel tank completely.apparently the fuel nozzle sensor detects the tank as filled when it is not. Before tank fuel gauge shows 3/4 filled @ 12-13 gallons when nozzle shuts off randomly. Otherwise i could fill up no problem. However, now it's only allowing about 1/2 tank to fill (about 7 gallons) consistently. I'm having to refuel several times in any given week. Nothing has been replaced on the car yet, but i understand that there was a recall that i was unaware of.

My nissan 350z the gas gauge is currently not working.i can fill my car to capacity and within a day the light indicator for empty is on.i was informed that there was a recall for this problem and i never received a notice.

I can't fill up no more then 5 gallons when the gas gauge is reading empty. The gas tank will refuse fuel and overflow out of the filler causing it to get all over the body. I hate to make frequent stops for gas again and again.. I searched on multiple forums and there are a lot of people that are going through the same issue with there cars and even the newer models which is ridiculous. I think this technical issue should be resolved.

The contact inquired about a 2004 nissan 350z. The contact stated that after refueling, the fuel gauge displayed a reading of beingof the way full. Upon driving, the fuel gauge began to fluctate up and down. The contact expressed concern about not knowing how much fuel was in the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the failure was due to the fuel level sensor. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.updated 08/31/2011 *ln

The fuel gauge in my 2004 nissan 350z fluctuates up and down. It happens after fueling, and upon driving the car. I have taken the car to 2 different nissan service depts. For repair. The first time, they said it was a faulty fuel sensor, and replaced it. They said it was fixed, but when i drove it, the gauge fluctuated again. Took it back, but they said there was nothing wrong with it and couldn't do anything else since there were no codes coming from the computer. So took my car to a 2nd nissan serv. Dept and they said they fixed it by replacing the other fuel sensor (since there are 2), but still faulty. I do not know how much gas i have in my tank at anytime. It is most dangerous while driving and the fuel tank empty warning light suddenly comes on, after the gauge had just reflected that there was plenty of fuel.

Nissan 350z have a fuel gauge problem in which many are experiencing.when the gauge reaches below 1/4 tank full it will show as empty.once the car is turned off the gauge will show as empty even when fuel is in it.the in accuracy of the gauge leads to people over filling their tanks with gas. It has lead to cars running out of fuel on highways.and it has caused dealerships to not know how to fix the issue or over charge on trouble shooting issue they have no idea how to handle.this issue deals with fuel and it is unsafe for we cannot determine how much fuel we have which can lead to over pumping and/or running out of fuel on highways.

I have a 2004 nissan 350z touring edition, i been having a problem with the gas gauge from what i have noticed is when the gauge is below the half it starts fluctuating from e to about a 1/4 or even to 1/2 tank. When i turn the car on and off it starts off at empty and will slowly make it way up to what ever it wants this problem has been going on with these car for a number of years but nothing has been done from nissan. So i never really know how much gas i really have i thinks a very dangerous problem to have because what about if you need to pull out into traffic and your car cut's off because it has no gas. Game over right!!!

The fuel gauge doesn't accurately reflect the amount of gasoline in the fuel tank.examples include when the fuel tank is filled to the point of overflowing, the fuel gauge randomly reports, 3/4, 1/2 1/4 and sometimes empty.the fuel gauge randomly reports different fuel levels each time the ignition is turned on.further research of the described matter on various online 350z forums indicate the same problem exists for many other 350z owners, which indicates a product defect. The forum that follows is one of many examples:http://my350z.com/forum/maintenance-and-repair/501507-fix-for-gas-gauge-fluctuations-hard-to-fill.html.

My 350z has a problem with the gas gauge when its below the 1/4 at start it will display no gas but the dte will display 75-90 miles left. Don't understand this problem has seen a lot of forms but no recall yet or dealers don't know what to do. Have ran out of gas a lot of times. Thank god never on the freeway or on a busy street. Nissan has to know about this its affecting a lot of z owner. And its dangerous.

The vehicle idled rough wheather the vehicle was hot or cold. The consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle and drove it to the dealer for inspection.the mechanic determined thatfuel injectors needed to be replaced.

Fuel system. Cannot filled fuel tank completely. Replaced filler neck per recall and fuel tank sensor. Worked for a short term and now the tank will not fill completely. Averages 4-6 gallon short.

Purchased a 2004 350z touring model brand new in march 2004.unable to put gasoline into tank.automatic function on gas pump activates no matter how fast you attempt to insert fuel.experienced same problem at numerous service stations.fuel tank is being replaced.*mr

Unable to fill the fuel tank.apparently, the fuel nozzle sensor detects the tank as filled when it is not.tank fuel gauge shows 3/4 filled when nozzle shuts off.this problem was reported a year ago and dealer replaced tank and fuel sensor which made problem go away for a year.now it is back.

When refueling with tank less than half full the automatic stop mechanism of the nozzle is triggered.i must wait 20-30 seconds, then i can complete refueling process.this happens every time i fill up the car.

I live in alaska and nissan 350z does not start and/or want to start in any weather under 10 degrees. The car door will not close, and gas cap does not want to open. The car has beenprepared for winter.

I have same problem as reported in my carstats.com custom report #10073235, i.e., on occasion unable to pump gas into gas tank.tried different pumps and different gas stations.serious problem when traveling and can not get gas in tank.in addition, fuel tank when filled does not show full. On 2/18/05 dealer said they could not "find concerns at this time--customer to monitor."this has been happening aperiodically in terms of not getting gas into tank.

The car's fuel sensors will not allow me to fill up the gas tank completely. It stops about halfway every time.

Thousand of reported cases of not being able to fuel up the nissan 350z.the problem source is the filler neck shutter valve. Nissan is aware of the issue for years and have been making customer foot the $400-$500 bill instead of taking action on the faulty part. The faulty shutter valve causes fuel to spew out while filling the tank covering the car and operator in fuel. The risky part is people are changing the way they fill to try to bypass the action of the shutter valve but also works against the safety features of the gasoline nozzle causing it to not shut off when fuel reaches max. I personally cant only get 7 gallons in my car before it sprays out which is very annoying since i have to fight to add 7 gallons of fuel everyother day. I fought with this issue in my 2003 350z and my 04. It is extremely common and should have been recalled years ago.

The gas gauge does not show full when the tank is full. This is caused by faulty sensors in the two tanks which nissan refuses to admit. I along with hundreds of others on online forums have had this issue and have to spend money out of our pockets although this is clearly a defect. It seems to be with the 2003/2004 models. It causes the drivers to not know how much gas is in the tank and at times leaving them stranded because the gas has ran out.

Passenger door lock will not open using dealer supplied remote opener.

Happened in the driveway, fortunately. When the clutch pedal was depressed, it stayed down, and in gear.it was difficult to force the car out of gear.i was then able to manually lift the pedal, and pump it softly to make it stay up. This has not happened since.it is a hydraulic clutch' no leaks, and clutch replaced 2 years ago.the car has been well maintained with only 55k miles on it.looking on the internet i see this is a common problem, and very unsafe if you are driving and can't get it out of gear.

Large thuump noise developed around 8000 miles on automatic tranmission of my 2004 350z.it has been taken to 2 dealers.both say it is perfectly normal.we test drove 4 other 350z's and none of them to what my car does.the dealer refuses to fix it and nissan corp.says they will help, but continue to ignore my calls and hang up on me.

I purchased a 2004 nissan 350z on 3/31/04.since then the transmission has, on several occasions, gone into what the manufacturer calls"fail safe" mode, which means that if it detects a problem it will immeiately and without warning slam down from whatever gear you are in to first gear.this has happened to us on a highway twice, and the car came to a sreeching halt, nearly casuing an accidant.the car went from 5th gear to 1st without warning to us or to those behind us, and it did this suddenly, bringing the car to a virtual halt as if the brakes locked.the manufacturer has been unresponsive, and the dealer says that this is a deliberate design in the transmission and cannot be changed, and it kicks in even if the "error" it detects is false.this dangerous design is in all of these cars(automatics) and is inherently dangerous, especially as it seems to happen at high speeds on the highway and there is no warning to us or the car behind us.

2004 350z clutch failed while driving.the replacement clutch was not covered under the vehicle's warranty.the flywheel also had to be replaced.the consumer contacted the manufacturer andwas told that nothing could be done.

2004 nissan 350z developed problems with the clutch.***no answer required***. *mrtwo independent transmission experts stated it was highly unlikely that a burned clutch and grooved flywheel was due to owner abuse as the dealer had stated.when the consumer received the vehicle back it had a completely different feel, the clutch was much easier to push than before and the clutch engaged more quickly.the owner of the transmission shop drove the consumers vehicle before and after, and he also stated the change was probably due to the adjustment or replacement of the hydraulic mechanism on the clutch.

2004 nissan 350z clutch failed while driving on interstate. The consumer was told the vehicle needed a flywheel.

Car began shifting funny, unable to accelerate.took car to dealer.they determined that the clutch and fly wheel were bad.car only has 10000 miles on it and owned less than a year.clutch and fly wheel replaced at my expense, after many arguments with nissan.

Clutch pedal stuck to floor when taking off at a green light - half a second later, it pops out. Clutch, slave cylinder, and flywheel had to be replaced.clutch worn out prematurely.

Shifting into 3rd gear will usually grind unless the clutch is held down extra long. All other gears are fine.car has 4000 miles and the problem seems to be worsening with time. Nissan identified the problem as bad syncronizer and the manual transmission has to be replaced.i am now finding multiple reports of this problem on the internet.very concerned because there are reports of the problem recurring.

While drivingat any speed, consumer heard a loud noise coming from the manual transmission. Vehicle was taken to the dealership, and the technician indicated that vehicle was operating as designed by the manufacturer.*la

I have been hearing this rattle for a while already and i took the car to the dealer and they say is normal i don't think this is true. I have a 350z nissan i first bought it, it didn't do this noise. The thing that worries me about this is that it is a lot louder. I find that when i turn the car off you can hear the rattle louder and clearer. It look to me that is the throw-out bearing but i dont think they eant to do the job and the car still under warranty i dont know what to do. I already call nissan but they dont do anything.

There is something in the clutch system that is causing the clutch and other parts to burn fast and earlier than usual.the previous owner of my 2004 nissan 350z had the same problem. 2 new clutches at $2,500 each by the time it hit 35,000 miles. I bought the car not knowing about the problem and the clutch completely burned out while i was driving on the highway. Luckily i was not in the fast lane like i usually am and was able to safely pull over to the side of the road. I paid $2,500 to replace the clutch parts again. It is now less than 3 years later and it is happening again. Nissan dealer claims this must be user error and nothing wrong with the system yet agrees that isvery hard to burn a clutch that fast as an experienced manual transmission driver. I've found others with the same problem but no resolution.

I purchased a 2004 nissan 350z roadster. The day after purchase i noticed a clanking noise when turning off engine. I took to my local dealer and was told this is normal. That was at 6500 miles. At the 15000 mile scheduled maintenance i reported that the problem is getting worse. Same response normal. There is nothing normal about it. I am worried that when the warranty is up it will all of a sudden not be normal and i will be stuck with the cost. I have read numerous complaints on the internet about this same issue with no nissan response. Nissan needs to step up to the plate and provide some answers and assistance. I will be taking my car to the dealer now at 27000 and letting them hear how worse it has gotten also to have them repair the soft top that on the passenger side rear corner is just coming loose at the seems.

2004 350z had to have the convertible top replaced in 2008.top started to show stress at folds and a large rip in top next to back window.top will sometimes stick when putting down and will have to raise and lower to get it to work.passenger side seat belt has started to stick it will release after a while.

Consumer complained that driver's seat did not lock into position. Consumer stated that the vehicle had been back to the dealer and was told that he would have to live with the problem.the left side of the manually operated drivers seat did not lock securely into place in two of the back positions unless by the pelvic thrusting maneuver or by pressing the left foot on the floor testing the engagement of the latch.prior to driving, the seat moveed significantly in to place while driving with loud clanking sounds. *sc

The contact owns a 2004 nissan 350z.while driving 60 mph, the brakes failed when they were applied.the contact lost control of the vehicle and a near crash was avoided.the vehicle sustained minor damages.the brake line was covered with rust.the vehicle was repaired and the brake line was replaced.the contact has the old brake line if needed.the current mileage is 40,000 and failure mileage was 36,100.

My 2004 roadster has been making brake noise after the first 1000 miles, the tip tronic shifter does not down shift all the time and the dealer insists this is normal and refuses to even investigate the problems. I also heard about a class action suit against nissan for faulty suspension and brakes, is this true?

I've had my car over a year without any problem.i replaced the rear tires five weeks ago (not the fronts, which tread depth was fine), with the same size tires as the stock rubber.in the past two weeks the front brakes started locking and releasing, locking and releasing, but it's only been on freeway ramps, on an incline or decline, and in a curve.it makes what i describe as a groaning sound, which i associate with the brake pads clamping down, causing a reverberation in the whole assembly.the "slip" light in the dash comes on when it occurs.at first it only seemed to be the right, front, but it just started doing it on the left, front as well.i live in florida, so snow is not an issue.it's done it on wet and dry roads, although my heart pounds more when it's on a wet road and the front end slides in a curve.i've only applied moderate brake pressure, not nearly enough to cause the antilock brake system to act.the dealer evaluated the car today and stated no "codes" came up on their computer diagnostic, and they stated the brake pads and rotors, and brakes generally were in good working order.so, nothing has been done to change the problem.my theory is that the vdc (vehicle dynamic control) system is flawed, and actually causes the brakes to lock, causing an uncontrolled slide/skid that is extremely dangerous.the brakes lock only for maybe a second with each lock, release, then lock, and release.however, a full second of locked brakes is a long time in traffic, in a curve.there is a posting at www.350zmotoring.com by username gilvalas from 2/10/03, which sounds similar to my complaint.

2003 2004 350z came with out camber adjustment wearing front tires inside were you dont see causeing blow outs at highway speeds they make camber kit but are not by nissan so they wont pay to get this life saving part put on i have put on 6 pairs of front tires in 3 years with no help from nissan because they say they do not make a camber kit.

Uneven tire wear in front, leading to repeated unsafe driving conditions unnoticed by driver because it is inside front tires.nissan admitted problem, performed an alignment that did not remedy the problem and now will no longer return my calls.

In april 2005 i purchased a nissan 350zx from david mcdavid nissan in houston texas. I'm extremely disappointed the fact that the pre owned vehicle i purchase had previously been in a wreck. I wouldn't of known of this situation. I not taken the car in for service during memorial weekend, reason being the front suspension is making pop noise it seems it comes from motor mounts or joints, cracking noise in the rear right tire and the back right brake also squeaks.had dan aldrich of the your service department not mention the car was in a wreck i would of never known. I told him how could that be if i just purchase the car back in april.i could not believe david mcdavid could sell pre owned vehicleunder these conditions.i have sent the dealer customer service email with no reply

Dt*:the contact stated the convertible top does not go up and down properly, this causes the defroster to disengage from the rear window.also, the metal in the frame damages the top and it has been replaced twice.

My 2004 350z roadster's convertible top retracts into holder when down, but the cover of that area will not completely close consistently. Approximately, 80% of the time, the cover stops two to three inches before it should and the convertible top open light indicator is on. After two-five tries, the cover will eventually close. My dealership has tried to fix the problem three times unsuccessfully with service taking one to three days.

On 2004 nissan 350z the convertible top will stick in the half open half closed position. Nissan will not help fix this costly repair $2200-$3000. The motors that control the top called the (fifth bow motor) will go out without notice. No way to manually close the top. Many others on nissan forum site have reported this same issue. I paid nissan to fix this problem cost me $2800.00. Now it is doing the same thing less than 3 years later.(i can supply the part number is needed).

Convertible top doesn't close, or open while in progress.

While driving andreaching for somethingconsumer struckhead on the left side of the convertible top.the same metal was on the passenger's side.the design for the top was flawed.cutaway of hinges on right and left sides at head level.the consumer stated that thedefected peice would pierce the skull on side impact.*tc

I have an 2004 350z touring. I bought the car with 16,,000 miles on it. Now, ithas 30000 miles on it. In the 14000 milerangethe tires on the frontfeathered completely due to sever negative camber. Took vehicle to victory nissan of richmond several times, and they only aligned the car and charge me for it.i have an appointment on 6/20/2007 to go to dealer and will demand new tires as the problem has not been fixed.

The consumer was informed by a friend that the fronttires on his vehicle may be wearing from the inside , from information obtained as a mechanic. After checking the tires, they are worn from the inside.the consumer stated it is due to the suspension on the vehicle.

My 2004 roadster has been making brake noise after the first 1000 miles, the tip tronic shifter does not down shift all the time and the dealer insists this is normal and refuses to even investigate the problems. I also heard about a class action suit against nissan for faulty suspension and brakes, is this true?

Mechanical defect in the design of the front end cause the tires to have recurring premature uneven wear which the manufacturer refuses to fix correctly. In each occurrence the manufacturer suggests changing the tires and realigning the front end instead of fixing the real underlying mechanical defect.

While making a normal left turn through an intersection my car began to spin. After a complete 360 degree spin and smack into a curb, there was slight damage to left rear exterior wheel well. This alignment issue and premature tire wear problem needs to be rectified. Someone has to do something. Under normal driving conditions to do a complete 360 spin out is ridiculous. I am lucky no one smacked into me after i stopped. I have had my tires replaced twice on the right rear and once on the left rear because of the inner tire wear. I have had an alignment done also. All this was prior to my spin out. Something is not right with this car. Any answers, solutions, recommendations? i have read numerous complaints on this site about the same problem i am having. Are you even doing anything with these complaints? from what everyone else has written, no one has done a thing. There are no recalls or anything for this issue. Please address this problem immediately before someone winds up getting hurt from this. Obviously the dealership wont do a thing it will be way too costly for them. But for mine and the rest of the drivers on the roads safety, make something happen. Give us a recall to fix this ongoing problem. Its been almost 6 years and still no solution. Come on guys, i know your better than that. Our safety is now in your hands.

Uneven tire wear in front, leading to repeated unsafe driving conditions unnoticed by driver because it is inside front tires.nissan admitted problem, performed an alignment that did not remedy the problem and now will no longer return my calls.

Tires had to be replaced due to wear, and the vehicle had to be aligned at 9,000 miles due to a grinding noise.vehicle started to make a grinding noise again.consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, and the tires woreout, and the front end needed to be aligned once more.

The nissan 350z has a history of tire failure (feathering) due to poor alignment of the vehicle.it appears this problem is with both the 2003 and 2004 production run.even after repeated tire replacements and alignments, tire feathering returns, creating a safety problem for the operator.nissan refuses to repair the problem.

I have taken my 2004 350z into the irvine nissan dealership twice about the front tire noise making growling sounds. The work report only lists that there is tire ware, but no mention of my complaint about the tires. Documented oil change, tire wear, and suggest allignment (but would charge me for it). Took the car in a second time, and describbed the issue again. They refused to acknowledge the tires as an issue on 2004 vehicles, and stated on the vehicle work order order that they advised me about the tsb for 2003, and the condition does not exist on 2004. Argued with the manager who says they took the car for a drive to test the noise, but would still not do anything. Manager hung up on me. The vehicle still has the noise.

Front tires worn on inside due to faulty alignnment from factory.car was purchased new in december 2003.during second service( 7,400 miles) at purchasing dealership tires were balanced and inspected.service department said nothing was abnormal with the tires.now 5 months later ( 13,000 miles) purchasing dealer refused to even look at auto when i told them there was noise coming from front end and that tires were wearing on the inside.i was told by purchasing dealers service department to call nissan north america or to call bridgestone tire company to have it fixed.i in turn called nissan north america and was told by them to take the car in to another dealership for inspection.i took the car in yesterday and was told i needed new tires for the front and that the alignment would be adjusted when the new tires were installed.i was also told that it would be up to nissan north america to approve this request for tires and service.i am afraid the bad alignment may cause tire failure due to the excessive wear on the inside.i check my tires weekly to ensure no cords are showing on the inside and that they are properly inflated.all 2003 350 z's have a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty on the alignment and tire replacements due to the same problems, yet nissan north america has not addressed the 2004 issues even though they are the same as the 2003.you can't expect consumers to purchase 2 new tires once a year because nissan can't repair an alignment problem on their flagship 350z.

I have a 2004 350z roadster with the feathering problem. At first, it appears to be a break problem. The nissan dealer did not cover this under warrenty even though it is covered until 12,000 miles.the stated that. " the right front may be damaged and that i needed to take it to a body shop and have the frame bent". I took it to a tire dealer and they told me it was out of alignment.my front tires were replaced and a front end alignment done at 11,000 miles. Only six months later at 16,500 the noise is still there.i took it to a differerent nissan dealer and they stated the alignment was wayyyy off. They did a 4 wheel alignment.i was again charged $70.00.i called nissan northamerica and althought they were responsive and talked to the dealer...... They ( nissan ) calm this is not a problem with the 2004. I took the car back a week later stating that it pulled to the right a little ( there is a tsb on this ).the dealer said it was do the low tire pressure.hmm they just had it in last week and this week the tires are already low? the checked the alignment and stated it was ok.the car drives ok... But the noise is still there especially at 20 to 30 when breaking. Only time will tell but i am not satisfied nissan is doing what is needed to fix this problem. Tires don't wear out with 11,000 miles.

Severe tire noise/cupping from front tires.there is feathering also.the front tires started making noise around 13,000 miles.there is now 20,000 and is almost undriveable because of the noise. The noise happens loudest when the car is braking.

First noticed by vehicle owner at approximately 10000 miles, dealer confirmed at 12000 miles, my 2004 nissan 350z touring model has developed abnormal wear of inner edges of front tires--front tires forming a cupping shape.the result of this abnormal wear has created unstable handling and ride, but most importantly a safety concern with regard to tire performance and handling.nissan has issued a service advisory bulletin acknowledging this very problem for the 2003 350z mode, but not for the 2004 model.nissan has indicated that the suspension is the primary problem for causing the abnormal tire wear and has authorized a partial fix to the problem.nissan refuses to acknowledge this problem with the 2004 model--request investigation for safety concerns and consumer protection.

Dt: contact states for the last 4 months the front end became very loud.it has a roaring noise in the front tire area. He talked to the dealer, and they told him the front end neededto be aligned, and he needed 2 new front tires because the inside of the tire was worn out. There were 11, 961 miles on the two front tires.contactfound a tsb on 4-04 about this problem.he did not consultthe manufacturer. The dealer did not give consumerany idea why he was having this problem. It wasa 2004 350z convertible nissan.

The front tires on my 04 nissan 350z are cupping every 3,000 milesnissan will not repair my vehicle. They replaced one set of front tires after 8,000 miles. At 13,000 miles they refused to repair the vehicle again because it was out of an "adjustment" period of 12,000 miles. I would like nissan to be required to honor there 3 year 36,000 mile warranty and repair my vehicle as well as replace my front tires.

1.purchased2004 nissan 350z march 2004.by september 2004 and with only 9,000 miles, the car was experiencing a loud grinding sound upon application of the brake.the local dealership determined this was a suspension problem causing the tires to cup or feather and wear prematurely.the local dealership replaced both front tires and did an alignment.i was told the 2003 model 350z had this problem but that it had been remedied.obviously this problem has not been addressed properly as the same problem continues with the 2004 model.my car now has only 18,000 miles with only 9,000 of those miles on my new front tires, and the same problem has reoccurred.customer service with nissan's 800 number says my car is beyond the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty and they won't do anything.what should my next step be?

I have a 2004 nissan 350z which has had repeated "feathering" of the front tires. I have responded to the april 2004 tba now three (3) times. The first two times, nissan claimed to have resolve the problem and replaced the front tires. The last time (which was less than 5000 miles ago), nissan again claimed to have aligned the front end of the vehicle. The problem hasnow returned.there is no specific date for this incident since, evidently, it is occurring continuously.

Front suspension, i have a 2004 nissan 350z and when driving there is a loud rumble. I pulled the front tires and found that both tires have wear on the inside. I called the dealer and they said that they were not aware of any problems.

I purchased a 2004 nissan 350z in septmeber of 2003.after about 12000 miles i complained of excessive road noise comming for the tires.i was informed by the dealer that the front tire were cupping and had to be replaced.this seems to be a known problem with this car and nissan acknowledged it on their 2003 model but continues to ignore it on their 2004 model claining that it has been addressed although they are not clear on how they addressed it.i fear that this problem if not addressed by nissan will result in an unfortunate accident for someone unaware of the problem.it is suprising to me that auto manufacturers are not obligated to disclose these kind of known issues with their products.it seems that the dealers are notified but not the consumers who have bought their products.

At about 13,000 miles my front tires started making a growling sound at or below 30 mph or while braking.took car to nissan to have front end inspected.both tires were completely worn out.nissan replaced both front tires and aligned all 4 wheels.

I purchased a 2004 nissan 350z in august of 2003. After about 24000 miles i complained of excessive road noise comming for the tires. I was informed by the dealer that the front tire were cupping and had to be replaced. This seems to be a known problem with this car and nissan acknowledged it on their 2003 model but continues to ignore it on their 2004 model claining that it has been addressed although they are not clear on how they addressed it. I fear that this problem if not addressed by nissan will result in an unfortunate accident for someone unaware of the problem. Front end mis-aligned at factory causing severe cupping of front tires at 13,000 miles. Friend had same problem.i had car into dealer 2 weeks before.dealer did not say anything in spite of safety check.matter of time before a blowout.after i found the problem, dealer aligned front end and pro-rated replacement tires.i wrote a letter to nissan.customer service says no recall planned. Very dangerous.

At approximately 8,000 miles, the car started growling and vibrating during breaking.the nissan service manager stated that the alignment had not been set correctly at the factory.the alignment was set correctly and i was given 4 new tires since the car was under warranty.the nissan service manager stated that this had been as issue with the 2003 350z as well.nissan had extended the warranty to 3 years or 36,000 miles for the 2003 models. At approximately 15,000 miles the car once again started to growl and vibrate during breaking.the car was taken into nissan for service. The nissan service manager stated that the tires are starting to cup.the nissan service manager had the alignment checked and it is still set correctly.the nissan service manager stated that this is a design flaw and nothing could be done to solve the problem. The service manager stated that she had called nissan and there is nothing they would do since the car was past the 12,000 warranty restriction - even though they had realigned the car and replaced all the tires at 8,000 miles. The only action that could be taken to slow down the destruction of the tires, since the front tires are a different size than the back tires, is to switch position of the two front tires as well as the two back tires.please note that does not fix the problem - it only delays the problem.

2004 350z has 11600 miles and tire roar has become very loud.roar began near 10,000 miles and has gotten progressively worse.i have had the tires balanced at 10,000 miles in hopes of easing the situation - no relief.notified by discount tire mechanic that the inside edges of the front tires were showing considerable wear.called local nissan dealership and talked with maintenance & service dept.was told that i would need to pay $90 + tax for an alignment and $28 + tax to flip the front tires.also notified that i would probably need to repeat this every 10,000 miles and buy new tires every 20,000 miles.this seems to be a major flaw with the 2004 350z and has not been corrected from the 2003 model.

Tire noise that started within 6 months of purchase and at less than 12000 on my new 2004 350z. Dealer kept blaming nissan. Nissan kept telling me they could not replace them because it was out of their warranty period which was 12 months and 12000 miles.

Tire feathering problem which nissan is aware of but will do nothing to correct only a band-air. They say have the car realigned to there specs which i did at 17,0000 miles and the problem is back after 500 miles. I 'm now told the front tires are worn out. Nissan or dealership will not replace my tires because of the in service date of my car asto when the service bulletin came out. It was 36 monthsi was told it was up in sept. Nissan has got to tell the real problem with this tire feathering it is more then just and alignment it's mechanical.

I was involved in an accident which was very similar to one i had 2 years ago in the same car, only i do not remember as much as i do from the first one.the first accident occurred approximately august of 2006. I was driving on the freeway in very light traffic, when all of a sudden my car started to fish-tail. I was on the fast lane and hit the center divider and spun and hit it again. I managed to get over to the shoulder without hitting anyone or anyone hitting me.my car was crashed on the left side mainly near left tire and the bumper, some damage was on the left rear tire as well.i had the car repaired and the tires were changed. The second accident i do not remember as much because the impact was stronger and it knocked me unconscious and it was raining.the damage on the car was very similar to the first accident only there is alot more body damage.the highway patrol said that i had hit the center divider and spun.the car is not safe at all and there is a no reason that a sports car should be fish-tailing or lose treading in the rain.these cars should be made resistant to such weather and should tires should not be balding so quickly.the 2003 and 2004 nissans have had recalls for premature feathering/weathering of the tires.the tires tend to start balding too soon, thus causing not enough traction. This clearly would cause the car to fish-tail.

It is suprising to me that auto manufacturers are not obligated to disclose these kind of known issues with their products. It seems that the dealers are notified but not the consumers who have bought their products.

At the 15k service the service associate noted some front tire wear, and said that at the next service 18k, that i would need a front end alignement.at the 18k service the service associated sait that the tires were no longer servicable and that i would need $600 of tires and an alignment.after researching the problem, i found that nissan has admitted to a similar problem on the 2003 models, and that they are replacing tires and extending the warrenty to three years.nissan has not officially done this for the 2004 models.i told this to the service manager and they tried to make it right and offered to pay for the alignment and one tire.i settled for this, but i hope nissan resognizes this defect and makes it right by issuing a recall or extended warrenty on the 2004 models as well as the current extensions on the 2003's.

Fast tire wear on a 350 z. Noise coming from front of vehicle.

Nissan 350z has a problem that leads to premature wear on tires. I have a 2004 350z and it is exhibiting same failure as 2003. Tires are making a noise that has to lead to ultimately a compromise of the tire intergrity.nissan answer so far , spend $700 every 6 months, by changing tires and realign all wheels....at my expense!!! this is a consumer product failure , potentialy a safety problem, and nissan is not appropriately addressing the issue. They had the same problem in 2003 350z and all i can say , same problem in the 2004 model year car. Need help ..nissan is not providing a solution>

More than 50 percent of 2003-2007 nissan's have issues with power windows, even higher percentage with the 350z. Still no recalls have been issued, it is a safety issue should the door be jammed the next escape routewould be threw the window. If the window is not operating then you have a very serious problem. Also in the case that the car is submerged in water all power windows are functional for about 30 seconds but not if they are constantly getting stuck. I have brought my 2004 nissan 350z for the same repair of the driver sidepower windowhalf a dozen times while under warranty. All they made was adjustments and operated normal for a couple of months and then back to the same issues time and time again. It's about time they start replacing parts by a recall process. I hope this does not fall on deaf ears. [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

2004 350z had to have the convertible top replaced in 2008.top started to show stress at folds and a large rip in top next to back window.top will sometimes stick when putting down and will have to raise and lower to get it to work.passenger side seat belt has started to stick it will release after a while.

While driving 65 mph, the consumer noticed a yellow flash indicator light reading slip with cause unknown. The consumer released the throttle pedal and the speed control was not engaged.the vehicle continued to travel at 65 mph.the consumer applied the brakes, but thevehicle still continued at the same rate of speed, burning the brakes when the pedal was applied. Consumer depressed the clutch, but the rpm idled high. All of a sudden the problem disappeared. The dealershipfound that during installation of the wheels, the chrome platingof the front and rear wheel were mistakenly switched.the tech also stated that this could have been the reason for the malfunction and that the traction control system went into "fail safe mode" because it detected a size difference in the wheels.(pins where also missing) *sc

Wheels on nissan 350z that i purchasedare cracking at all the spokes , nissan has a service bulletin on the chroming process. Dealer sold me car without telling me about the problem. And my warranty wont cover it they said go to the dealer. Power niacin of chandler arizona is where i purchased the vehicle . My question is .... If a dealer has a vehicle that they are selling and it has a service bulletin on it about the wheels , shouldn't they replace the wheels before selling the car to someone ? , whenmy left rear wheel separated from all the spokes i was traveling west bound on the i-10 around buckeye az, the speed limit is 75 mph there. If i did not catch this right away i would have lost that rim and the damage could have possibly cost me my life.

I purchased a new 350z car from antioch (california) nissan dealership in 2004 with chromed alloy wheels.in addition, i purchased an extended warranty.on the below date a vacaville nissan mechanic was test driving my vehicle when the right front wheel cracked around the lug nuts and fell off in their parking lot causing damage to my vehicle and unrepairable damage to the rim.nissan corporation has issued bulletins to the dealership not to chrome alloy wheels for safety and performance reasons.i was not notified of this status...only after the accident did the vacaville service manager give me a copy of their bulletin dated 9/07.it stated my warranty is void as a result of the dealership chroming the alloy wheels as verified by the corporate warranty office .i have contacted both dealerships and their corporate consumer affairs office to no avail.how many other cars were sold with unsafe chromed alloyed wheels? how do i retrieve my out of pocket expenses of car repairs, car rental, and replacement of defective wheels?
