The contact owns a 2005 newmar mountain aire. The contact received notification of number: 15v829000 (steering) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair.the dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The contact was not experiencing a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

2005 nemar mountain aire motorhome. Consumer writes regarding loose steering *tgwthe consumer stated he experienced excessive steering wheel movement. The repairs only lasted for a short period of time.

2005 newmar mountain aire motorhome. Consumer states while cleaning front windows he noticed that the drivers side top corner was out of the molding. The consumer stated while driving to the repair shop, he could feel air coming in the front window. The mechanic found both front windshields had come out of the seals. The frame on top of the windshield wasn't put together well.

When changing my oil in the motor home , i was lookingat the componets of the undercarriageandwas shocked to see that the right side motor mount was missing one bolt completely and the other one was just hanging by a few threads.my family and i had just returned from a trip to pennslyvania , if the engine had fallen while we were on the road it could have caused a wreck.i contacted the company (newmar) and they said that they were not responsible, that workhorse, the manufacture of the chassis was.i contactedworkhorseand reported the problemand they didn'tseem very concerned.they told me to take it to a dealer to have it fixed.i told them that i had already fixed it myself.ialso called the dealer where i bought the motor home and told them about it and they told me that it wasn't their problemand that they were only responsible for the coach part of the motor home.i was notlooking for a remedy for the problem, i just wanted them to recognize that there was aproblem and to notify whomever was responsible for the oversight and hopefully it wouldn't cause a problem for someone else.thepreceived lack of concern on their partwasupsetting as it put my family at risk.thank you for looking at this complaint and i hope you can call to the attention of whichever party is responsible the possible effects of notchecking on the assembly quality control of the chassis on these motor homes.
