When the pump started acting up, at first it was just stiff to turn off road on a job site, then one day it just locked up and we almost hit a tree. The dealer replaced the power steering pump, saying that international does not put a big enought pump on to begin with.a few days ago the replacement started acting up on the job sites, so i took it to the dealer and it was also bad, it tested too low of pressure, the replaced it today with the same make/ model pump.the dealer i took it to this time said that he has replaced several of these pumps.my concern is that my warranty runs out in about 25,000 more miles, at 500 miles a day, that wont be long.what if this happens again, what if next time i am unable to control the truck and hit something, or kill someone. When it goes out you can not steer at all.
The victim sustained serious back injuries from a loading ramp attached to a budget rental truck (navistar chassis).on september 11, 2005, the victim was using the rental truck to move items from storage.the victim decided to use the attached ramp (manufactured by demco) to ease the loading and unloading of items.the victim began sliding the ramp out from beneath the undercarriage of the utility body (manufactured by utilimaster) where it was attached.while pulling the ramp out, the ramp became stuck.the victim tugged at the ramp to extend the remaining length of the ramp.when the victim tugged at the ramp, the ramp sprung out rapidly and unexpectedly.as a result, the ramp fell on the victim and pinned her to the ground. As a result of the ramp forcing the victim tothe ground, the victim suffered many injuries, including a burst fracture of her lumbar spine.the victims injuries required surgery to fuseher vertebrate.
