While coming down a hill brakes failed.the front calipers caught fire and were replaced however, the consumer sold the vehicle.
The brakes on the truck failed 3 times on a 6000 mile trip, the tow rating for the truck is 12500 lbs, the trailers dry weight (which is deiplayed inside the kitchen cabinet) is 11,400, the consumer also had to replace 2 trailer brake controls and the trailer brake, when the consumers weight the trailer themselves they found that the trailer weighed 13000 which is overweight for the truck.nlm

While driving at highway speeds, vehicle would not respond to steering wheel direction. Dealer has been contacted. Informed consumer that tandem springs were shifting out of place. The leaf spring was broken on the left side causing the rear axle to move forward. Also the trailer was leaning to the right. The left rear tire had tread separation causing breaking the weld on the shock absorbers on the right axle.

Consumer states the left rear tire experienced tread separation and a blowout while driving 60-62 mph, with the driver and one adult passenger in a 2000 national rv, seabreeze (original equipment, tire size lt 245/75r16). Manufacturer was notified.nlm(ad h c9b 239, dk 48872 l 2301 28079) consumer states tire pressure had been checked the previous evening at 79-79.5 psi, tires were rated at 3042 at 80 psi, consumer states the combined axle weight was 10520.
Recall 01 v 285 000/pinbox weld:dealer: galpin country rv; dewey, az; phone# 928/632-7808 informed consumer that natioal rv would only pay forfirst 8 hours, any time after, would be at consumer expense. It takes 16 hours to completerepairs. Asking nhtsa to assist on this matter. Feel free to provide any further information.
