While driving the kickstand will deploy without any warning.this results in a loss of power to the engine along with either reduced light output or no light output from the headlamp ( due to a "kill switch" integrated into the kickstand).this can be a dangerous event in the condition of night-time driving on winding roads.this spontaneous kickstand deployment does not seem to be correlated to speed, motor rpm, or road conditions.after only 5,200 miles on the odometer and about 1 year of ownership, this motorcycle is nearly unfit to drive on the road as the kickstand spontaneously deploys more frequently under a wider variety of conditions.

Several times while in operation the kickstand drops to the point that it caused the engine to shut down. The springs are not able to keep the kickstand in the up position. This motorcycle has less than 3000 miles on it and is only ridden in fair weather. This is a very dangerous thing to lean into a curve and possibly have the kickstand catch the ground and then throw the motorcycle over causing possible death or serious injury.
The kickstand deploys while in motion causing the the engine kill safety feature to shut down the engine.this has happened multiple to es at high speed and was very dangerous.
