The contact owns a 2008 (na) monaco coach compression (na). While the recreational vehicle was parked with the generator running, an electrical burning odor was detected. The generator was turned off and disconnected. The contact discovered that the electrical compartment located underneath the rear driver side door was melted and the wires were burnt. There were no flames visible. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanicor dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. Colerain rv (3491 struble rd, cincinnati, oh 45251 (513) 923-3600) was contacted and requested that the contact send them pictures and advised her not to operate the generator. The manufacturer (rev recreational group) was contacted and informed the contact to call the navistar manufacturer. The contact stated that navistar was contacted and informed the contact of nhtsa campaign number: 12v060000 (electrical system). Rev recreational group, which purchased navistar, declined to remedy the recall. The contact stated that she contacted both rev recreational group and navistar, but neither would take responsibility for the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.
Motor home fitted with an air sensor fuel injection system. Because the system was installed without a fuel pressure safety switch, the only way to turn off the fuel pumps, a large amount of fuel leaked onto the engine, causing an explosion.
The hose which connected to the gas tank was 3 inches too short and itbarely connected.as a result there was a gas leak. *nlm(monaco hoilday rambler 2001)

Monaco safari motorhome. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle brake fire *tgwthe consumer stated the first brake fire, he experienced, the manufacturer paid for the repairs. The second brake which occurred eight years later, the manufacturer stated the problem was corrected from the previous repair in 2004. The consumer referenced recall # 02v278000.
