Dt: contact ownsmonaco 2005 dynasty motorhome. Themanufacturer replaced incorrectly hose for application. Antifreeze and hydraulic werenot designed for diesel fuel. The contact was driving on highway when incident happened. No crash or injuries reported. No police report. Incident happenedsince manufacturingdate. Allowedbenzene fumes into the coach which wasflammable and a carnage.
The contact owns a 2005 monaco coach dynasty.the contact belongs to an automobile group where he discovered that two members experienced fuel leaks.he now believes that there is a potential for the engine compartment to catch fire.he found that the manufacturer has a kit that prevents the leakage, but they are only applied to transit buses, not rv's.the manufacturer stated that this is because they do not have heavy duty cycles.the current and failure mileages were 23,000.
Consumer complaint regarding the smell of diesel fuel in the new monaco coach. An investigation revealed that the fuel lines to and from the aquahot systemwere the gates lol plus hose. The consumer stated this particular hose was not recommended for use in fuel application.
Equipment failure on rv motorhome.power sun visor manufactured by carefree of colorado will unexpectedly fall from mounting plates while driving on highway.mounts are made of plastic material and subject to stress cracks by vibration.when plastic mounting plate fails, shade falls in front of driver blocking vision and also startles driver into abrupt braking and/or erratic steering.company blames failure on improper installation by factory (monaco coach).numerous failures have been reported online at rv forums.carefree has not re-designed mounting bracket for this series of powershades but has now designed a new powershade with new aluminum mounting bracket.they will not retrofit existing shade.
