On 25 september 2008, my motorhome a 2004 monaco cayman right rear brake caught on fire the shoe assembly, hub rotor assembly, axle seal had to be replaced due to a overheated brake, the cost for this repair was $2506.12. On 16 september 2010 the right rear brake was smoking and the rotor, caliber and shoes had to be replaced. The concern is that the calibers are overheating on workhorse chasiss recall number 09v110000 and monaco coach recall 02v278000 use the same calibers. The issue is the 2004,2005 monaco rr4r chasiss have not been in the bosh brake caliber recall. The same caliber was utilized for the 2004,2005 monaco coach rr4r coach. Please due the right thing and have bosch recall the calibers that are used in these motorhomes.

Submission from constituent re 2004 monaco cayman " i-beam" recall.smdthe consumer stated while driving, a noise alerted him of a problem.he discovered the i-beam leaf imitator on the right side of the front axle had broken. The part was not replaced. But, fixed by welding a cosmetic plate to one side of the i-beam. The component was shorter than the i-beam by a third and the break on the rv occurred at the end, that was intended to strengthen the i-beam. The consumer stated the particular part that failed, was subject to a recall in 2004. The dealer failed to replace the part, butinstead chose to fix it with an un-approved method, therefore not following the recall order. Updated 12/29/14.
