While driving and braking, i notice a hesitation, sometimes to slow and sometimes a burst of speed. This is usually starting out or trying to slow or stop.i also at the same time notice sometimes maybe hitting brakes leads to this. Not sure if power train or electrical but very concerned.also, i had a friend that had a 2015 outlander and the airbags did not execute at 50 mph accident. This is a very high concern. I checked vin but did not see anything.

While driving alone, the 'airbag system repair required' message and light appears on my dashboard. This occurred on a highway going 60 mph. The icon shown was for the passenger seat, however the seat was empty.

On june 11, 2020 i was hit head on in an accident in syracuse ny. My airbags never went off.

While driving alone, the 'airbag system repair required' message and light appears on my dashboard. This occurred on a highway going 60 mph. The icon shown was for the passenger seat, however the seat was empty.

I just bought my first brand new car june 6, 2015.i have only made 1 car payment and on 7/23/15 i go to get in my car and it will not start had several messages on the dash so looked in the manual and it said call dealership and i did.after calling them 5 times in a row the owner answered and i explained what the car was reading and that it wouldn't start so he said him and a mechanic would be there in a minute. I only work 5 mins.away.they arrived andsaid they had never seen that displayed before.mechanic took a look at it and played with the wiring for about 20 mins and it started they said if it does it again bring it in and they would take care of it.but the next morning i drove to the dealership and told them to check it out and go ahead and do my 1000 miles service check since i was at 982 miles.no problem we will have it ready later today, never heard from them so the following monday my husband called and they told him it was the transmission and they were trying to get me a new one put in but waiting on approval, they got the approval and put in a brand new transmission so they said.aug. 5, 2015 still hadn't heard anything so my husband called again and it was ready so he went and picked up my car.it had 1100 miles on it and 1/2 tank of gas so they had put 117 miles on my car.8/6/15 it started driving kind of rough, not wanting to exhilarate and making a squealing noise from time to time.so on 8/11/15 i had to take my car back up to the dealership for them to check it out.they were going to keep it over night and call us in the morning. They had no loaner cars to give us this time so we had to go to enterprise and pay $50.00 deposit and make sure the car is full when we return it.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated that upon accelerating from a complete stop, the vehicle would stalled without warning. The contact also stated that the vehicle hesitated intermittently. The contact discovered a technical service bulletin(tin-15-23-001) which he linked to the failure. The contact had the vehicle towed to (york mitsubishi 1301 roosevelt ave, york, pa 17404) to be diagnosed which was still pending. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

During initial acceleration from a standstill, or when accelerating again after either constant speed operation or coasting the transmission will delay in the vehicle accelerating. While at 60-65 mph the vehicle will fluctuate in rpm and try to accelerate on its own. The service transmission light came on and the check engine light has been going off and on since the vehicle was purchased in october 2017. When bringing it in for service dealer says there is nothing wrong. I went to autozone when the check engine light went on and it is stating the catalytic converter bank 1 has issues. So when i parked it this morning 4-24-18 because of the light going one for the transmission, i tried starting it and it started but hesitated and then all the check engine lights went off. I believe there is something up with the ecu too. I know there are recalls for 2015 outlander sports but why not mine when i am having the same issues. Thank you

I have a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport i brought brand new off the lot. In the summer of 2019, the "remove key" light would come on after my key was removed from the ignition. .on 12/19/19, my car would not turn over to start and the "remove key" light stayed on. I had car towed to the dealer. Dealer said key cylinder needed to be replaced and my battery was dead. I replaced the battery and told them this was the 4th battery i have had to replace with this car. I bought new battery and dealer ordered part. The key cylinder part came in and was replaced on 01/09/20. On 01/20/20, the "remove key" light came on again and my car would not start. Towed car back to same dealer who found key cylinder was incorrectly installed and reinstalled cylinder. Today 01/22/20, the "remove key" light came back on. I'm waiting for a call back today from the same dealer to see if there's anything else that can be done. The "remove key" light prevents you from locking the doors normally, while sitting in the car, i had to lock all doors before removing key from ignition. The "remove key" light turns on when i remove key. Then after i exit the car and close the driver door, i have touse my key to lock my driver door. Otherwise i can't lock all of my car doors with the key or key fob and have to get back in the restart car and start cycle over.i asked dealer to check electrical system because i have replaced the car battery 4 times on this car already which is ridiculous and costs me money since it's not covered in my car warranty or extended warranty. I only have less then 34,000 miles on my car. Does anybody have any suggestions on remedying this issue?? did i purchase a lemon?

My transmission doesn't go into gear right away and doesn't drive right in automatic. If i switch it to manual and only go up to 5th gear it shifts fine. There was a transmission recall for same year make and model as mine. Those recalls happened around 80,000 miles. I have 84,000. I was previously told i needed either a fuel tank or fuel injectors, never got it diagnosed. My gas gauge reads full all the time even when i dont have gas.

Dealer will not honor recall ,over 100 miles from dealer

Please update your system to reflect that the following recalls have been fixed. ' 2015 outlander sport / rvr- replace (2) electrical power contro (nhtsa #17v609)' rear parking brake - 4a models (nhtsa #18v070)' front wiper link replacement (nhtsa #18v103)the work was completed at the following dealershipcharlie's mitsubishi495 western avenueaugusta, me 04330service: (207) 213-2702

Vehicle started having rough idle at about 70,000 miles when air conditioner would be turned on. Rmp's would fluctuate between 500-1000. Now at about 90,000 miles vehicle has rough idle whether ac is on or not. Vehicle has stalled when changing gears, while waiting at a stop or when sitting in traffic. Today 3/24/21 vehicle stalled while entering an intersection which could have caused an accident. Vehicle also has a hesitation when trying to accelerate whether from a stop or from a coasting speed.vehicle was taken to dealership on october 2019 for cvt8-ecm reflash as per recall but it only solved the acceleration problem for a couple of months. There should be another recall on this vehicle as these problems can cause personal injury/accident.

Transmisin slips , car studders during acceleration, very dangerous when trying to cross a street or entering highways. Very hard to control steering, engine makes a loud noise (as if you aceelerate and there is no power, high rpm noise)

Outlander sport 2015, purchased in feb. 2016.started car, put in reverse, car stopped dead.light on dashboard stated "electrical system service required", symbol of a red suv with a red x on it, & green check engine light.towed to lancaster mitsubishi, they stated nothing wrong with car, even though they had to push vehicle into garage.it works now.for how long??have not been told what is wrong or why it happened.vehicle completely shut down.tow truck driver tried to jump it, did not work

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 18v103000 (visibility), 18v070000 (parking brake), and 17v609000 (electrical system). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The contact called fresno mitsubishi at 559-899-3255 (5505 n blackstone ave, fresno, ca 93710) several times, but was awaiting a call back regarding part availability and a recall repair appointment. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The vehicle stalls when the air conditioning/ heating is turned on and sometimes the engine shuts off. This has happened while the vehicle is stationary and in traffic while he vehicle is in motion and while waiting at a traffic light or stop sign..

Driver side front power window makes the entire door panel make noise anytime it is rolled up. Have taken it into the dealer multiple times for issues, it only remains fixed for a few cycles of the window. It's like a creaking plasticy noise, none of the other windows do this. Severely annoying on something so new with less than 7k miles, and embarrassing with customers in vehicle.

My stepdaughter drove to work monday (8/9/16) and could not remove her key, switch only went back to acc position. I arrived and looked it over, started motor, shifted into reverse, then back to park, cut off switch and turned all way to off position this time. Sounds like issue with ignition lock cylinder. It's a 2015 with less than 10k miles. She took it to dealer who basically accused her of spilling liquid down into shifter, however once they say condition of car knew this wasn't case. Told her they will repair it a week from yesterday. I am concerned because my 4 year old beautiful granddaughter rides in that car (her mother's) primarily. I'm going to dealership upon opening in morning because we need a loaner car for my stepdaughter to use until her outlander is fully equipped with the safety repair. She had only had car little over 3 months, it's least they will do. My stepdaughter is alot nicer than myself. I'm not having my stepdaughter or granddaughter in an unsafe vehicle. Will be demanding and receiving loaner car for her in the morning.

It hesitates on take off ,drivers window is stuttering. Had electrical system flash on and off , time of day changes to daylight saving by itself , pulls to the right upon braking.acceleration is awful . Jerks while changing gears.most of this is at stopping,or taking off from stop . City driving . On cold mornings it also rides hard on wheels and highway is hesitant. Try's to stall. At 70 miles a hour. Does not heat car adequately. This at 20 degrees.

I was driving my car on the highwayand shut off and i take to the dealer for three days but they never found any issues them happen again so may wife almost have a car accident and the west gate mitsubishi of raleig towing my car and they told me that my car computer need to be replaced it and i'm still waiting for car get fixed my car in on the dealer for a week and nothing gets fix. This is a real serious the car shutoff during driving i'm really des appointed

Ongoing problems with this vehicle. Bought new 9/2015. Treated appallingly at pos. Unreliable instrument panel kept showing a p0017 code at 15k, would not clear. Took to dealer for $450 29k service, check engine light stayed on after this for long period of time then off. Car "passed" all checks at different dealer but they said "timing chain" looked loose in 4/2017 they said we could replace the chain, cam and crank shaft and sensors at our expense for 4k on a new car. They blamed us for "improper maintenance" due to dirty oil. They cancelled warranty on entire vehicle. Cose would go off, then on periodically, 0017 again. Car drove fine until recently, car then stalled while in motion through intersection in rush hour, seized up 42k miles. Dealer refused tow as dealership more than 21 miles dishonored roadside service. Our aaa took to mechanic near home who does japanese cars, timing chain broke dx $150. Dealer refused to honor warranty. Charged to rediagnose, had to tow back to dealer $150 diagnosis again, timing chain broke, entire engine needs replacing. Car died in intersection, was almost killed. Denied warranty coverage. 7 recalls on this vehicle so far, one is stalling like we said!!!! dangerous car, do not buy! please recall engine is bad, dealer asking 10k to replace! seattle mitsubishi pierre. Car burned oil quick it seems, even synthetic. This is a pattern, must recall entire engine on these vehicles, people will die.

1. In february 2017, the vehicle started to display a persistent yet intermittent p0017 code.2. Despite two separate repair attempts on march 9, 2017 and march 15, 2017, younker mitsubishi was unable to eliminate the p0017 code. 3. From april 18, 2017 to april 27, 2017, a period of nine (9) days, the vehicle was inspected by pierre mitsubishi in an attempt to eliminate the p0017 code.4. Both pierre mitsubishi's service department and mitsubishi's own tech line recommended warranty repair to correct the problem.5. On friday, april 21, 2017, pierre mitsubishi's service manager dennis paulson promised by telephone that mitsubishi had agreed to pay for the warranty repair, and accordingly parts were special ordered by the dealer for such repair.6. Despite the inspection results and oral promises, mr. Paulson indicated on wednesday, april 26, 2017 that mitsubishi was no longer willing to cover the warranty repair.7. Based on mitsubishi's refusal to perform warranty service, a prima facie case of breach of warranty under the federal magnuson-moss warranty act has been established.8. Based on mitsubishi's documented history of covering up serious vehicle safety issues, there is an imminent danger that the vehicle could fail and expose the user to property damage, injury or worse.

I bought a brand new 2015 outlander sport se on this past friday, august 14, 2015. On the following sunday i noticed it was jerking but at that time i didn't pinpoint when it was happening. The vehicle had less then 100 miles on it. Today, august 19, 2015 i figured out it is happening any time i am traveling at 15-20 mph. I alerted my salesmen and told him i thought something was wrong. He told me he was told that it happens at slow speeds because the cvt can't decide which gear to be in. He said if i speed up it will stop. Well, the road outside of my neighborhood is a school zone. I can't just speed up! so, if he is right, every morning i can look forward to jerking a studdering my way down the street. It's awful! it's like you're driving a 5 speed and forget to hit the clutch and change gears. That jerking and studdering. How on earth can these cars be allowed on the road like this? i am confident this little by product of the cvt will soon be causing accidents.

My car hesitates to accelerate after slowing down or when i try to accelerate after stopping. Mycar will jump for one second or so, then totally fails to accelerate. The engine will stay queit for couple second even if i step on the gas as hard as i can. Then after several seconds, my rpm wil jump to around 5000rpm without any sign. There were several close calls for me in the past few month. When i just entered a roundabout, the issue occured and my car won't accelerate. I almost got rearened by other cars that were already in the roundabout. I got the recall notice months ago, and i went to the dealership to fix the problem. I was told there is a problem in the programming, and i should be all set after they updated my car's system. However, i have been experiencing the issue in past couple months. The problems happened when i tried to accelerate at low speed (20mph), after stopping at a stop sign, or driving into a roundabout. The issue is dangerous and can cause severe damage to the people on the car and other cars that are on the road at the same time. I am having immense presure whenever i stopped at a stop sign or when i try to turn into a road or roundabout. I strongly encourage nhtsa to take actions and ask the manufacturer to completely fix the problem!

Transmisin slips , car studders during acceleration, very dangerous when trying to cross a street or entering highways. Very hard to control steering, engine makes a loud noise (as if you aceelerate and there is no power, high rpm noise)

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated that the engine failed. The contact noticed smoke coming from the engine and the vehicle stalled without warning. The failure was experienced numerous times. The vehicle was taken to jeff d'ambrosio mitsubishi (1223 lancaster avenue downingtown, pa 19335) where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The engine was consuming oil prematurely, which caused the engine to stall. The manufacturer was not notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 35,000.

Vehicle would not respond after stopping it would start to go then hesitate and stop. We could have been hit by oncoming traffic it did go after continually pressing depressing accelerator. Vehicle has done this 4 times you never know when it might happen. It has only happened after stopping then attempting to go again engine is running fine prior to and after it goes again. Vehicle has only 3000 miles on it.

While driving during acceleration after stopping or slowing down the vechile loses power and hesitates like it wants to stall or takes few minutes for rpm to kick in so we can get little speed and move car.. This happens intemittent and is nw back at the shop for the 3rd time but all they keep telling me is there is no code so they cant find anything. Very concern this is going to cause an accident as never know when it will happen. Told them to keep it and drive till happens again i dont want it back to corrected and should not have this problem for a 2015 with only 14000 miles!

I received a letter explaining there is a deficiency which can shut down my motor while in use, and to visit a dealer to have it fixed.spoke with reps by phone and was told it must be done at a dealer - no exceptions.i am medically restricted in my activities, i advised them.no exceptions. Closest dealer to my home (edwards, ms) is in alexandria, louisiana, i'm sorry to say i learned, and i requested they provide a closer repair place, like clinton or vicksburg, ms, but they declined.i asked them how long it would take and they didn't know for sure.overnight accommodations? at my expense.what if it broke down on the way and i was able to avoid being obliterated??why, they would dispatch a tow.what about me?i would be on my own to get to the dealer to pick up the car.maybe your agency has no answer for me, but this seems outrageous treatment of an unsuspecting customer.why could they not arrange for another auto dealership closer to me to do the work?and i notice there have been 5 recalls on the car.nobody informed me.shoddy.

Thank you

I have noticed in the last 3 months vehicle hesitation, i will be stopped at a light and my car will jump forward. I've also been on the highway and have had it rev up and jump forward. I've taken it to the dealership probably about 6 times now and they always tell me there is nothing wrong and i must be imagining it. Seriously with all the other people experiencing the same thing i'm not imagining it. This is a 2015 shouldn't be having this issue.

At only 76,000 miles, my vehicle started to shudder when going anywhere from 10 mph-40 mph. This started when i was on a city street but continued on the highway. There is a lag in acceleration when going from neutral to drive. My transmission service light and check engine light went on so, i took the car in to a mitsubishi dealership and they notified me that after the diagnostic test and test driving it, they simply had to reset the sensor. After leaving the dealership, the transmission service light went on and my car was still shuddering when trying to accelerate. After getting a transmission service, which is what i was advised to do by the mitsubishi mechanics, the problem still persisted. I bought this car used from the dealership with only 40,000 miles. At 76,000 there should not be any major transmission or engine issues. I am now unable to drive my car in fear that i will end up in a car accident.

I bought my vehicle towards the end of october with less than 40000 miles and i keep encountering an acceleration issue and high engine rpm, the issues periodically 'resolve' them self only to come back a little further down the road, the issues i encounter aren't exactly the same but i think they are very closely related/connected to each other;accelerating from low speed (0-30):i tend to notice an acceleration problem around 0-30 mph where i have my foot on the gas pedal and the vehicle is moving and is accelerating, acceleration is very, very slow and it feels as though something in/on my vehicle is giving what i can only describe as 'resistance' to accelerate, the feeling is very weird and i have never felt anything quite like it and i lack the vocabulary to truly explain what the issue feels like but i do know for certain that something is wrong.high engine speeds during 0-~60 mph acceleration:when i need to accelerate to merge into traffic going 45-65 mph (accelerating from 0-30 mph range) my engine speed approaches 6000 rpm but never enters the red area behind the gauge, i often need to accelerate from the 0-30 mph range to 45-65 mph range to jump onto a highway or freeway and my engine speeds get much higher than anything i have ever experienced before. I suspect the automatic shifting mechanism is broken or is made poorly.i have brought my vehicle into a genuine mitsubishi dealership and had them run a complete diagnostic, even a diagnostic on my transmission with everything coming back fine. I honestly don't even know what the issue is but i have documents verifying that nothing is wrong with my vehicle but no diagnosis, however i was told that my fluid was good for another year, the transmission might still be "learning' my driving style, and my vehicle has a brake 'priming' system that helps stop your vehicle in heavy traffic.

2015 mitsubishi started sputterring while waiting for red light and hesitates when accelerating. Check engine came on. Looks like there are other similar complaints, but when i looked up the recall my vehicle is not included.

Vehicle started having rough idle at about 70,000 miles when air conditioner would be turned on. Rmp's would fluctuate between 500-1000. There should be another recall on this vehicle as these problems can cause personal injury/accident.

While driving during acceleration after i have stopped or slowed down the vehicle loses power and jerks and jumps before i can accelerate again. This issue is intermittent and i have taken it to the dealer but it didn't happen while they were test driving it and told me everything was fine. This mainly happens while trying to go through intersections and i am very concerned that it will cause a accident. I just bought this vehicle a week ago with only 17,000 miles on it.

Intermittent rough idle and fluctuating rpm.. Afraid vehicle will accelerate by its self may cause accident waiting at a stop sign or red light

My 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport developed transmission problem and warning light came on including engine service light. It only has 34173 miles on it. I researched that it had a recall for a defective transmission hose assembly but mitsubishi no longer lists the recall. I would like to see that my vehicle gets repaired as the manufacturing date of the vehicle falls in the time when this issue was not detected during assembly.

Two times i have experienced engine hesitation in the 2015 outlander sport.first time wasstarting from a stop light, the motor would not move the car then it jerked into gear, the second time it happened i was making a slow turn to the right when the motor did the same thing.i have read others on this site with the same issues.i plan on taking it in to get it checked but i am now concerned since others are having this same issue.it rides great on all other occasions so i am not sure why it did it..i thought maybe bad gas but it is not.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to accelerate, loss motive power, and stalled without warning. On another occasion, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated with the transmission warning light illuminated intermittently. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was referred to the nhtsa for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

I own a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport with 110,000 miles on it.other than the recalls i have had no issues. Frequent oil changes, brakes, basic maintenance nothing else.minor acceleration issues as per the recall.i was driving home on the parkway at the speed limit of 65mph and heard a sudden knock, the car shuddered and died. Thankfully i reacted quickly and pulled over the minute i knew something was wrong. I got out and there was oil all over the road way.being a novice mechanic i pretty much knew the engine was dead.towed to healey brs mitsubishi beacon ny and 4 days later they confirmed that there was a hole in the engine and it would need to be replaced.they had no explanation for the sudden failure but did confirm that it was sudden and not due to any lack of maintenance on my part.the car is 3 years old with sudden engine failure, on a dark highway on christmas eve.i am thankful that i was safe but still want an explanation.a friend of mine who used to work for mitsubishi informed me there is a problem with the third piston on these engines but the mechanic in beacon would not confirm either way.

Headlights only shine about 50 feet ahead. Doesn't give you enough time to react to something in the road. Have almost hit a number of deer on a residential street. Have taken car back to dealer. There is no adjustment for headlights.

Traveling on freeway began experiencing hesitation in engine. Thought possible poor gas. Added 91 octane. Got back on road hesitation got worse. Engine light saying transmission service required. 20 miles from nearest town transmission stops and i am stranded on side of interstate 10

The car stutters and jerks to accelerate when gas is pressed from a stopped position at traffic light. This has happened several times, called the dealer and they haven't heard of the issue. Have not had time to stop in. Seems like this is an ongoing problem, in fact, i believe one review from motor trend witnessed a similar issue "additionally, the cvt would stutter or hesitate when gently modulating the gas pedal when heavy freeway traffic required constant adjustment, a characteristic not noted during our tenure in the 2011 model on the same road trip or at any other times." http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2015/mitsubishi/outlander_sport/ i'm going to call the other dealer near me and ask.

Several instances where acceleration failed momentarily were followed by a recall.several weeks after the issue was 'corrected", acceleration failed to generate a speed past 30 mph for a few moments, then 25 mph, and i barely managed to get back at home at no more than 20 mph.every time i stepped on the gas, it caused acceleration to decrease until i stopped and coasted at 20.

2015 mitsubishi started sputterring while waiting for red light and hesitates when accelerating. Check engine came on. Looks like there are other similar complaints, but when i looked up the recall my vehicle is not included.

Jerks while changing gears.most of this is at stopping,or taking off from stop . City driving . On cold mornings it also rides hard on wheels and highway is hesitant. Try's to stall. At 70 miles a hour. Does not heat car adequately. This at 20 degrees.

When trying to pull away from stop vehicle just stops engine still running it just wont go. Vehicle was taken in for the computer flash seemed to help but then started doing it again. This is dangerous can easily be rearended. It has happened when turning or straight but always after stopping then pulling away from stop. Bought vehicle with just over 2000 miles we suspect the prior owner had same problem.

Service engine light, slow emissions leak. It was at the gas cap. Rust around filler tube. Needed to remove rust so gas cap makes good deal. Slow accelerate with transmission and noise from lower control arm

I filed a complaint before and not sure how long they stay on this website but i no longer have my vehicle it was "repo" on 11.11.15 and was going to auction on 11.26.15 - who ever bought this vehicle needs to know it is a lemon.i have all the paperwork to prove it.please be very careful when driving this vehicle.

The car when speeding it always like crashes since new . When you accelerate it doesn't go right away . Also the brakes get rusted right away so it makes sound. Also the air heater or acare always working even when its off.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle started to hesitate and failed to accelerate. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 46,678.

Thank you

2/5, noticed my vehicle was losing power while driving....thought it was the transmission...all dealerships was closed...i had to put fluid in the vehicle to get home...called dealership early monday morning, told them my problem...was given earliest days on tuesday morning. Took vehicle in and called later that day and told because of the 1 qt of transmission fluid i used, which i was told was the wro6kind...they couldn't fix my vehicle even though there is a recall on my vehicle th at causes the transmission to lose power which it did...no one is offering a solution...i keep being told that because i put the wrong type of fluid, that made the warranty invalid i would not had to put the fluid in the vehicle had it been performing properly.never was notified of recall, found this put when i took the vehicle to dealership and research

The contact stated that after the vehicle stalled, the service transmission warning light briefly illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed that the cvt transmission and pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 116,000.

The powertrain / automatic transmission control module cooling unit and lines and the tcm/pcmare causing the transmission to shift many times going on flat road or climbing a grade the transmission shifts' erractic. Nhtsa recall on this vehicle on 7/22/2016 / 7/28/2016 / 7/28/2016 and the dealership states that this vehicle is out of warranty. Please help

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle failed to shift out of first gear with the service engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission ceased and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle lags during gear shifts and has a big lag when starting to drive. It does not happen all the time, but will happen when you least expect it.there was a recall for this problem, which i had done.but when the vehicle continued to do this after the recall was complete, red deer mitsubishi in red deer alberta refused to look any further, or contact head office.please note: 1. Timing of events was around the original recall. 2.i live in canada so i had to use alaska as the state, and i hadto make up a zip code.my real address is above that. 3.when did this happen? i am guessing the date.*cc

I was told my entire transmission was under recall but mittsubishi of orange park in jacksonville florida and that it needed to be replaced. I am now being told that they will not fix because i am 2nd owner and because of milage. I have put about 80000 miles on k. Original owner put 43000 miles on car. I was unaware that there were any recalls on vehicle when i purchased it and would not have if had known. As well as that i received no notification from mittsubishi in my 3 years of owning vehicle to bring vehicle to repair recalls . Vehicle will suddunley stop in traffic will not accelarate or just turns off in the middle of turning .

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated that while the vehicle was stationary, the transmission service required warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to napleton mitsubishi (3508 e. Division st. Springfield, mo 65802, 888-489-98030) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 16v563000 (power train) however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

My 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport has also seemed to hesitate after coming to a stop and attempting to accelerate again. I'd have to push the gas again to go. A slight jerk feel. I bought it in march 2015 and it's done this since may with only around 5000 miles. I mostly drive highway so to feel this when ya coming into a town has me concerned. But of course by then the dealer doesn't want to take the car back. The dealer sees nothing wrong but i'm sure with all of us posting the same common issue, there is something definitely wrong with the transmission. Guess i'm stuck with the worry until i can trade it in.

When driving the mitsubishi it accelerates on it'sown an jerks then slows down vehicle hesitates to accelerate pass 20 miles per hour at first then it speeds revving up i don't want to get hit from behind an i don't want to rear end anyone vice versa. The steering wheel feels loose an light weight. I have enclosed a youtube video that explains what the vehicle is doing note that is not me speaking in the youtube video but those are the exact issues that the guy in the video posted

Vehicle has delay and/or hesitation when accelerating. I was driving on the highway at 60mph trying to pass another vehicle, but the car would not accelerate after i changed lanes. Finally, after several seconds, the car responded and jumped quickly up to speed. After this occurrence, it's now happening on side streets as well going as slow as 10-20mph.

After coming to a complete stop at multiple stop lights, and trying to accelerate again, the car failed to accelerate. The rpms did not move, nor did the engine sound like it was accelerating.

At 56k miles the tachometer would rev up to 5 while maintaining an even speed, then when going up hills there was no power.very sudden issue no warning, then warning light service transmission required came on.very frustrated - my first mitsubishi and i want it gone.i've seen recalls for this year but my vin says there are none.

2015 mitsubishi started sputterring while waiting for red light and hesitates when accelerating. Check engine came on. Looks like there are other similar complaints, but when i looked up the recall my vehicle is not included.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated the vehicle failed to accelerate from an idle position. When the vehicle resumed normal operation, it hesitated and jerked forward. The contact was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 162.

My transmission doesn't go into gear right away and doesn't drive right in automatic. If i switch it to manual and only go up to 5th gear it shifts fine. There was a transmission recall for same year make and model as mine. Those recalls happened around 80,000 miles. I have 84,000. The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shuddered and stalled without warning. Additionally, there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle while changing gears. The contact took the vehicle to prestige kia (3525 wi-93 trunk, eau claire, wi 54701) where she was informed that the vehicle could not be serviced unless a warning light was illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact linked her failure to nhtsa campaign number: 16v563000 (power train) however, the vin was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 70,000.

I am also experiencing vehicle hesitation from a complete stop or a slow down. I bought it with only 6 miles on it. The problem started with about 500 miles on my vehicle. It now has 1,200 and is still doing it. From a complete stop, it will not always go when the accelerator is pushed and when it does go, it jerks like it just shifted into gear. That has happened three times just today. A couple weeks ago when i slowed down to turn right, i was able to make the turn with my foot off the accelerator but as soon as i tried to speed up, it would not move. I had cars behind me and was lucky i didn't get rear-ended. I had to coast into a parking lot where the accelerator started working again. It is intermittent and cannot be reproduced on demand, so the dealer has not been able to help with this. I was in to the dealer yesterday and was told they hooked it up to the computer and took it for a test drive and everything seems fine. They told me to bring it back in right away if it happens again. I called today to tell them it has happened three times and they can't get me in for over a week to look at it. By that time it probably won't be happening again. This is very dangerous. I'm scared to drive it but it's my only vehicle. I haven't even made my first payment on it yet. I feel like i got a lemon that nobody wants to take responsibility for.

My car started to experience a surge condition while driving on the highway and a transmission service required is shown at the dashboard along with acode p084athat was scanned at the dealer. Now the dealer is telling me that i need a new transmission. I asked how come my car is not covered by the recall that mitsubishi did for 2015 outlander sport back in april of 2020, since the symptoms are the same as per the tsb-20-23-001and they told me that, it goes only by the vin #, and my car is not listed.now they offered my a new transmission for almost $7k or a used one for $3.5 ki just cannot afford to pay this amount of money, my car barely passed 100k (117k to be exact)

When driving my car is hesitant and it jerks you when pressure is applied to the gas pedal.

For those of you who had the same issue as i did with hesitation at low speeds and the engine rpm at higher speeds - i received this letter on friday december 4th - please take your vehicles into the dealership and get them fixed- you will no longer have to worry about getting into an accident - and it's not the inhibitor switch.

Transmission issues/ failure at 116,000 miles with known issues from others online with the same issue/failure and replacement for 'specialty' cvt transmission unreasonably prices to replace. These transmission issues are not discussed at point of sale (which is the responsibility of salesman) but also no disclosure from mitsubishi. These transmissions should not fail so soon. When driving issues when shifting not as normal and there is no warning light that engages until right before your transmission fails. It is not safe!*dtconsumer stated her vin was not part of the recall.

On 12/13/2015 i was at a one way stop intersection and as i proceeded to accelerate through the intersection the vehicle lost power to the drive wheels momentarily and then reengaged with a jerk. It felt like the transmission slipped and then grabbed or reengaged. A few days before this i had received a recall notice to have the transmission control program replaced. I have since taken the vehicle in for the recall service and also reported the near miss due to the loss ofdriving power. The recall service was performed and the dealership failed to reproduce the loss of power or identify the root cause of the failure. So far this failure has only happened once but i will continue to monitor. Loss of power while attempting to accelerate through an intersection to me is of significant safety concern and should be given high priority by all. The vehicle had about 3,500 miles on it at the time of the loss of power and is now at 4,000.

Transmission hesitates while driving, then it jumps. When it jumps it surges. We thought it was the transmission. Our son said it maybe the relay switch to do with the cvt engine. It is setting in th driveway .

While driving on the highway, the transmission started to fail. This issues occurred overnight!

To make a very long story short i was at a stop light and pressed the gas to go and my car went forward then it just stopped it seemed like it wasn't getting enough gas - i pressed the gas peddle frantically because i was in the middle of an intersection and almost got hit. It happened again in march - i finally got the dealership to take my car for a few days they put a recording device in it and drove it - they kept it for over 30 days and it finally did the same thing to the mechanic that was driving it - they took the recording information and sent it to the engineers at the manufacture and told me that it was the inhibitor switch - they replaced it on 4.21.15 and on 4.26.15 my car did the same thing again - this time the car that almost hit me pulled over i explained to him what was happening with my car - i got his name and # just in case. I filed a complaint with the bbb and with the attorney generals office - they called me and gave me the phone number to a lemon law lawyer who now is handling my case.my brand new car still isn't fixed - i have heard that there is another 2015 outlander sport in florida doing the same thing. I have looked on the manufacture's website to see if there was anyone else experiencing the same issue or if there were any recalls on my new car and found nothing. I'm so glad i came to this website and found out that there are more than just 2 new 2015 outlander sports having the same issue. I talked to an old friend of mine who has been a mechanic for several years and he told me that it might be the map sensor- manifold absolute presser or the knock sensor.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the rpm revved up however, the vehicle failed to respond. The service transmission warning light was illuminated. After pulling over, the contact attempted to shift the vehicle into reverse however, the there was no response. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic but not diagnosed nor repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was contacted or informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 144,000.

09/02/2016... Took my vehicle to the dealer to perform service for a recall about the outlander hesitating at slow speeds and when accelerating from a stop. I am still experiencing the problem. I asked the dealer after the service, did that fix the problem. He said i hope so, i don't know what else to do. Please look into this. I would like to know that when i need my car to go......it will go!!

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal with an unknown transmission message displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle had yet to be diagnosed or serviced for the failure. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and informed that contact that there were no open recalls on the vin. The contact was informed that if the vehicle was still under warranty a representative would provide a callback. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to nhtsa campaign number: 16v563000 (power train). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 150,600.

Takata recall- while driving down the road its like the transmission is slipping it reves up the engine rpm up and down

The transmission jerks when you change from driving in reverse to drive.the rear passenger wheel feels loose after going over minor bumps.

While driving the vehicle surges forwards like it is having difficult shifting gears or accelerating . It happens while driving 40 miles . Al while at a stand still in traffic it shakes and vibrates like it wants to stall then pulls forward . The the transmission light flashes on then goes away

I was driving on a highway when the transmission started feeling like it was slipping. I pulled over checked all the fluids and everything was fine. I was miles from the nearest town. So i started driving again and 2 miles down the road the transmission light came on. When this happened the car stopped accelerating and started revving up. I turned the hazard on and pulled off onto the side of a busy highway. I tried to accelerate again and the engine reved again. I turned the car off and started it again the transmission light went off. I put the car in reverse and was able to back up to get further over off the road. I tried to put it in drive and the car wouldn't move but the light remained off. I called a tow truck and had to have it towed to a safe location. I took it to a dealer ship and they claimed it was the cvt and it was internal. I would have to have to whole unit replaced. They quoted me around 7,000. My brother-in-law called to get more info and they quoted him around 4,000. There are 108,000 miles on my 2015. So it's over warranty and i felt like they were trying to rip me off. I have seen similar recalls for this type of thing happening. I am concerned for the safety of myself and others with this happening out of nowhere.

On 3/2/2016 i was in stop and go traffic on i-71 in columbus ohio. The car ahead of me moved up so i proceeded to move up as well. I took my foot off the brake, gently pressed the accellerator and the car initially began to move, then lost power to the drive wheels then reengaged with a jerk. I almost got rear ended from the car behind be because they had no warning that my car was going to essentially stop moving forward. This is the 2'nd report that i have made on this website for the same problem. The first time the car had about 3,500 miles on it and this time it had about 8,700. After the first incident i took the car to the dealership to complete a recall for the transmission control program and they thought it would fix the problem but clearly it didn't. I will be taking the car back to the dealer to let them look at it again but i am now scared to drive this car. In order for vehicles to be safe they must be predictable and this cars accelleration from a stop is not predictable. The frequency of occurrence isn't that high but it only takes 1 occurrence when there are other vehicles involved to possibly loose your life. My state has a lemon law for new vehicles so i plan to initiate the process, my life is worth more to me than it appears to be worth to mitsubishi.

My car has a major problem with acceleration hesitation in transmisson that has almost caused severalaccidents. Also whenever i ride down the road and hit the minute bump my steering jerk really bad and it happens on both sides causing me to jerk steering wheel almost run off the road several times.

One day my truck just starting losing power in the middle of driving on the highway.i pulled over and restarted the car.it started but wasn't was stalling.i got to safety.brought transmission fluid and put in it.it helped me get home.called dealership next date car still under warranty.was told that i put wrong fluid so the warranty is invalid.had arbitrator found no manufacturing issue even though two recalls on my vehicle and one specifically states what happened to my truck is due to this recall.truck loses power frequently.afraid to drive it, but gave no choice.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. While accelerating from a stop, the vehicle shuddered when the accelerator pedal was depressed. Also, the check transmission warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to jeff d'ambrosio mitsubishi downingtown (1223 e lancaster ave, downingtown, pa 19335, (484) 593-5000) and was awaiting diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 48,000.

My car had had 3 transmissions replaced i'm the past year. It will be going in for it's fourth transmission. It has 54,0000 miles on it. The car would t move and i almost got hit in the rear on a major highway in ohio.

My 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport hesitates after coming to a stop and attempting to accelerate again. I'd have to push the gas again to go. A slight jerk feel. I bought it in june 2015 brand new and it's done this since august. I mostly drive highway so to feel this when ya coming into a town has me concerned.there is something definitely wrong with the transmission. It scares me sometimes. I was told my car might need to be realigned but all these cars with the same issue?please check on this!

This is the 4th time i will be replacing my transmission. It jerks and then fails. I cannot change shifts, it takes about a minute then it will move. I have complained to mitsubishi and they told me there was a recall on the whole transmission, i also work at a dealer and know there is a recall. This time when i called and asked them to buy it back as a lemon, they are now telling me there has never been a recall on the transmission. I can keep replacing my transmission every 4k miles and risking my life if it fails on the freeway that i take everyday fr work.

The cvt transmission went completely out. This vehicle is only 2 years old and we were in the middle of no where new mexico. We were driving, no problems and then all of the sudden it said stop the vehicle transmission overheat. We immediately pulled over. Ended up having the vehicle transported back home to texas and was told the warranty had just ran out. We missed it by 3,000 miles. Ended up spending over $6,000.00 on a new transmission and it is still not running right. I thought i had researched this type of vehicle before purchasing it, apparently not. Now i'm scared to take it on road trips. Only drive to and from work.

This 2015 outlander sport was bought from a dealer at 42,000 miles, now it has 69,000 miles on it. The car would do jumps or jerks during low speed or getting up to speed about 30-45mph. The rpm jumps up and down while going 50-70mph on the highway. It is having the exact same problem as the mitsubishi recall sr-16-006 stated back in 2016 for 2015-2016 outlander sport.we took the car to a mitsubishi dealer the next day. The dealer said that there is an internal failure with the transmission, code 084a, fluid pressure sensor performance. The dealer wants $7,700 to replace the transmission.sadly, a second owner's powertrain warranty was expired at 60,000 miles. The car hadthe cvt-ecu software updated back in 2016 through the mitsubishi recall sr-16-006 when it was owned by the dealer. The dealer did not replace the transmission as they should have according to the recall. Thus here we are, the owners with cars that have the old transmissions with the problem that should have been fixed!mitsubishi needs to make another recall for the transmission as soon as possible. It is very dangerous in the traffic to suddenly lose power to accelerate or when the car wants to shift to neutral and then back to drive by itself constantly! this is clearly a manufacturer safety defect, the car barely has 69,000 miles!we are a mitsubishi family. We have a 2002 lancer that is currently at 200,000+ miles without any major repair! we also have a 2014 outlander sport that is still running well at 60,500+ miles, and we're hoping for the best. It is very sad to be in this position.this video shows the problem the car is having: https://youtu.be/abd9phf5cea?t=107look at the recent complaints about this defect and think about how many of those who don't have access to the nhtsa information: https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2015/mitsubishi/outlander%252520sport/suv/fwd.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle jerked and would not shift gears. Also, the transmission indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to luther brookdale mitsubishi (7235 brooklyn blvd, suite b, brooklyn center, mn 55429, (844) 242-5989) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Purchased vehicle brand new and have been experiencing jerking and hesitation during acceleration. When stopped at a light, vehicle doesn't move with when trying to accelerate and then suddenly jerks off. Took the vehicle back to two different mitsubishi dealerships, including the one of purchase, and they are finding no codes or issues wrong.

My transmission is having issues and i only have 84,000 miles. Never had any other issues.

I purchased my 2015 outlander sport suv after owning a montero sport and loving it for over 12 years. I noticed within a month that when i would start off from a stoplight, my automatic transmission would jump like it was a manual transmission. During this jump, my suv would slow down and not accelerate. When it did kick in, it would jerk me forward. I now understand that their are many experiencing this same issue and have a repair appointment in 2 days. I sure hope this repair takes care of the issue or the nhtsa will take steps to insure that consumers are safe driving on our usa roads.

My 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport 2.0 has 500 miles on it and it hesitates intermittently when starting from intersections. It feels like someone put the breaks on but i think it's a transmission problem.i almost got hit twice already because of this. It usually does this when making a turn.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated the while driving 45 mph, the vehicle stalled with the service transmission warning message displayed. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed with a defective constant velocity transmission. Grand strand mitsubishi (431 hospitality ln, myrtle beach, sc 29579) was contacted by phone and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v563000 (power train). The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 39,000.consumer stated car malfunctioned several times where it would not change gears.

My car had the safety recall fixed, the computer for the slow acceleration. Since then, the shifting has been off. Anytime you speed up, the rpm's go very high until you let your foot off the gas. It sounds like the engine/transmission is going to explode. I've tried to have the dealer fix, they can't find anything wrong with it. Mitsubishi says the dealer told them there is nothing wrong. So, it's just supposed to run at a high rpm anytime i speed up? will that not cause damage? this has been an ongoing problem.

Vehicle hesitates intermittently when attempting to accelerate through intersection ,entering on highway ect...causing risk of collision

Transmisin slips , car studders during acceleration, very dangerous when trying to cross a street or entering highways. Very hard to control steering, engine makes a loud noise (as if you aceelerate and there is no power, high rpm noise)

My vehicle was part of a recall for transmission problems. I am being told it has no current open recalls and since i am the second owner i do not have a warranty. I'm currently having to replace the transmission on my 5 year old vehicle with only 43,000 miles for the exact same issues listed in the recall.*dt

The suv seems to miss or hesitate when slowing to make a turn. It feels like it sputters or sticks at times when accelerating or slowing down. It usually rides smooth when driving at a constant speed, but sort of jerks when acceleration changes. I wanted to know if there were any recalls because i want to be sure the problem won't create a driving hazard.

My father purchased his 2015 outlander sport in april 2015 with a total of 3 miles on it. Starting approx the end of july/beginning of august, the vehicle would "stutter" and shake upon acceleration. He promptly took it to the dealership of purchase where they told him it was a loose transmission cable and fixed it. Approx 1 week after being fixed, it began to stutter and shake again, but this time sounded like loud bangs and like the cv joint was coming apart. He took it to a different dealership and was told that the previous transmission cable fix was unsuccessful and that it was fixed "correctly this time". Over the last week, the car is acting up again - and is getting worse over time. He has taken it back to the dealership and they have done nothing. They let it sit for several days without looking at it and dad finally picked it up without anything being done to it. He was even in contact with the mitsubishi manufacturer. The vehicle is now shuddering on an almost constant basis with no explanation or help from the dealer/manufacturer and he has almost been in several accidents due to this.

Transmission started slipping on my wife's brand new 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport.car has less than 10k miles on it.took it to dealership and they ordered a brand new transmission to install.very strange that the transmission would go out this soon. Dealership claimed they have never seen this problem before on the new outlanders.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would hesitate and jerk upon the depression of the accelerator pedal as the transmission symbol would illuminate on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer where they informed him that he had a defective cvt transmission module that needed to be replaced. Upon investigation, the contact linked his failure to nhtsa campaign number: 16v563000(power train). The contact was then informed by the dealer that his vehicle was not under recall. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

I never received the letter concerning the acceleration problem with my car.i know this has been occurring with my auto but thought it was normal!!also, the lowbeam on theheadlights is too low!!i have to drive on highbeam to see theroad!!

Rotars prematurely severely rusted.may be related to the fact that no protection was used for the car against rock salt as indicated in latest safety recall, which only mentioned the front cross members.if protection was not in place this would affect any area of the car that could carrode or rust where exposed.

My reardrivers side brake caliper froze last year and currently my rear https://hoodsite.com/passenger brake caliper is frozen. The other day i was driving and i noticed a constant scraping sound, i was able to jack up the car and spin the tire and confirm that the brake is making contact with the rotor.

2015 mitsubishi outlander sport was part of nhtsa recall no. : 18v-070 in early 2018.due to unavailable parts, the recall on rear brake issue and calipers was performed in august 2018.now 8 months later, when going to get a nail removed from a tire at tire dealer, their tech noticed a new rubbing sound in rear passanger side of vehicle.after further inspection, the caliper that was replaced in august is now seized again.

My vehicle with vin # [xxx] has 2 open recall of which could be very serious involvingcaliper braking, and a corrosion of ball joint wiper. I have been calling planet mitsubishi and they still do not have the parts to fix the issue. Please help me find a way to see what is happening that these people cant have the issue resolved.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I've been driving this car since december 2017. Every since i've purchased a vehicle the brakes are always squeaking when you back up.

The car when speeding it always like crashes since new . When you accelerate it doesn't go right away . Also the brakes get rusted right away so it makes sound. Also the air heater or acare always working even when its off.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle would not immediately stop, causing the stopping distance to become extended. The vehicle was towed to the dealer abeloff kia located at 1169 n 9th st, stroudsburg, pa 18360 who diagnosed that the brake caliper was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the failure was remedy. Additionally, while turning a loud sound was coming from both the front and the rear axles. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 51,000. The vin was invalid.

I went to my dealer with the recall letter. They sprayed it not replace it.not like the letter said to do.i am afraid for my safety.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel would turn at 360 degrees in either direction, with an abnormal sound coming from the steering wheel. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an unknown dealer and was informed that they were unaware of such a failure before and offered no assistance. Upon taking another vehicle to an independent mechanic, the contact described her issue with the 2015 mitsubishi outlander and was informed by the mechanic that from her description of the failure the vehicle might have a defective clock spring in her steering wheel. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

My car has a major problem with acceleration hesitation in transmisson that has almost caused severalaccidents. Also whenever i ride down the road and hit the minute bump my steering jerk really bad and it happens on both sides causing me to jerk steering wheel almost run off the road several times.

Service engine light, slow emissions leak. It was at the gas cap. Rust around filler tube. Needed to remove rust so gas cap makes good deal. Slow accelerate with transmission and noise from lower control arm

The transmission jerks when you change from driving in reverse to drive.the rear passenger wheel feels loose after going over minor bumps.

Received recall documentation in august 2020, calledto get information (spoke to amber). Told to call and make an appointment to get the recall taken care of. Called and got an appointment for september 26, 2020 at 8am at 165 lincoln highway, fairless hills pa 19030. On september 25, i receive a call that they ran out of the recall parts and have to cancel my appointment, they will call when they're back in stock. I called in november, december and just last week to find out they still haven't received any of the front cross members to replace them (and she said there are several people still waiting). In my recall letter it states " a detached front control arm can result in loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash"

Transmission hesitates while driving, then it jumps. When it jumps it surges. We thought it was the transmission. Our son said it maybe the relay switch to do with the cvt engine. It is setting in th driveway .

Transmission fail less than 75,000 miles. Car was in motion.

Transmission is not shifting/working

When the back windows are down there is a horrible vibration noise.it does not go away until the windows are up all the way. It's only with the back windows and it's very annoying and distracting. It happens every time the back windows are down, even just one window down in the rear causes this to happen.i'm surprised it hasn't caused an accident because it's so very distracting!!!! vehicle needs to be moving.

Service engine light, slow emissions leak. It was at the gas cap. Rust around filler tube. Needed to remove rust so gas cap makes good deal. Slow accelerate with transmission and noise from lower control arm

My son had schedule a driving test and was failed because the instructor stated the emergency brake was not working, i did explain to this person that the car is new. I tested my self and realize that it does not stop the car even when going on 5 mph. I took the car to the dealer and make the formal complaint, they send the car to be check and came to me staten that it was working perfect!! i refuse their explanation and finally they subgested to test other vehicle same as mine to what i agreeto find out if works the same or not.to my surprise it did the same think... It didn't stop the vehicle and yes slowly reduce the speed...nj dmv require for any vehicle to be use to take the test, for the emergency brake to stop the car completely and to my believe i do agree with them... What is the sense of having a emergency brake if it does not stop the car??? please , emergency brakes are a life or dead situation. Thanks for your attention to this matter.i do have the receive the dealer gave me when check for the problem. I can fax to you if need it.

About two months ago my vehicle started acting up on and off. When ever my a/c is on and i come to a complete stop like a red light or stop signs my truck gets to jerking, idling up and majority of the time it shuts off. It will started back up after a few minutes but i will have to turn everything off like head lights, emergency flashes. Also if i am sitting in the sitting in my truck with the air running it jerks and tries to cut off, unless i turn of the ac compressor, just like if i come to a red light or stop sign, as long as i turn off the ac compressor my truck want cut off. Now, it was a couple of times i was making a turn and coming off a gas station lot and it just off.

I never received the letter concerning the acceleration problem with my car.i know this has been occurring with my auto but thought it was normal!!also, the lowbeam on theheadlights is too low!!i have to drive on highbeam to see theroad!!

Vehicle will not accelerate although stepping on gas pedal.vehicle shudders and seems to want to turn off.once the vehicles gets to about 25 mph,it accelerates with no problem.i have been dealing with this problem since vehicle was purchased.i have made several complaints to the manufacturer but nothing seems to get resolved.vehicle was also taken in for a recall regarding this matter but that did not resolve the problem.

I was driving on a highway when the transmission started feeling like it was slipping. I pulled over checked all the fluids and everything was fine. I was miles from the nearest town. So i started driving again and 2 miles down the road the transmission light came on. When this happened the car stopped accelerating and started revving up.

The car when speeding it always like crashes since new . When you accelerate it doesn't go right away . Also the brakes get rusted right away so it makes sound. Also the air heater or acare always working even when its off.

The contact was referred to the nhtsa for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

Intermittent rough idle and fluctuating rpm.. Afraid vehicle will accelerate by its self may cause accident waiting at a stop sign or red light

I was driving on the freeway, at night, in the rain, and my windshield wipers stopped working.i tried every setting to no avail. I tried using the cleaning fluid (which usually triggers the wipers) and the fluid pumped, but the wipers didn't wipe. The rear wiper is still working. I pulled to the side of the road, and checked the fuses, and they are fine. I tried to manually move the wipers, and they moved freely.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi outlander sport. The contact stated that there was a failure with the windshield wipers. The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic that determined that there was a failure with the windshield wipers, wires, and the fuse box. An unknown dealer was contacted to determine when an appointment may be scheduled to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired as of yet. The failure mileage was not available.
