I had a car wreck on june 10, 2016. I hit an suv that pulled out in front of me, and my air bag did not deploy on intial impact. I hit the suv, then hit an imbankment. When i hit the imbankment, it deployed. It should have come out on intial impact. The impact ws so great, i hit my head on windshield and cracked glass above sterring wheel, even though i had my seat belt on. I have pictures of car, but it will not allow me to upload them for some reason. I can email them to you if you need me to.
Had a recall on airbags and after the recall the safety belt sensor for the passenger side does not work.
The vehicle was in motion and was hit by another car running red light driving at/above 50mphnone of the airbags deployed @ time of accident

On 3/8/2018, my 2015 mitsubishi mirage was hit on the front driver side by a simi-truck going 50 or more miles per hour. Yet, my air bags did not deploy. I suffered significant injuries from this accident which could have been less severe, if my air bags deployed accordingly. I was not told when buying the car of any defects with the air bags or sensors. There is currently an open recall on the airbags still being researched. I found this out after searching for answers as to why my air bags didn't deploy. It was just put in around the time i bought my car.
The contact owned a 2015 mitsubishi mirage. While driving 35 mph, another vehicle attempted to merge into the contact's lane and crashed into the front passenger side of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the contact's vehicle rolled over multiple times and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained jaw, knee, shoulder, and other injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed from the crash scene to a salvage yard. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000. The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi mirage. While idling at a stop sign, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator and wrench icon illuminated. The vehicle restarted on the second attempt after the vehicle was parked for awhile. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (albany mitsubishi, 1000 e oglethrope blvd, albany,ga, 31705) where it was diagnosed that the battery cell failed due to corrosion. The battery was purchased in february of 2017 from the same dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that they were awaiting feedback from the dealer. The contact was referred to another dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 52,260.
This vehicle was bought as new on 05/03/2015.on 05/05/2015, after starting the vehicle, waiting for heat up, all the indicators of the instrument panel went on (service engine soon, abs, traction control, tire pressure, etc.).also the back light of the instrument panel began to blink, and a continuous beep sound or code could be heard.while this behavior occurred, the vehicle's rpm became unstable, as if the car was going to stall and turn off.after a few minutes i turned the vehicle off and back on again.the conditions did not repeat except for the service engine soon indicator.i used the car normally and the next day the ses indicator was off by itself.diagnostic tool did not detect error codes.on 06/21/2015 the condition repeated again with the same pattern.the service centers have not made further verification of this issue.also an inspector from mitsubishi considered it a minor issue since the vehicle's computer is not presenting codes.the safety concern is the risk that this behavior may occur in the middle of the road while driving.
My rear axel has a manufacturing defect. My car drifts at any speed over 80kms/hr.after all my research, apparently i'm not the only buyer with this issue. Mine is being replaced under warantee. There is no recall been issued. After two or three problems, thats the first thing mitsubishi should have done. This happened at 15400 kms. And only # months old. The toe on the right tire is out .48.
This vehicle was bought as a new vehicle on a local dealership, cabrera auto, at arecibo, pr on 05/03/2015.on 05/08/2015, while driving on the highway at approximately 55 mph, the vehicle randomly pulled left or right, unable to keep it on a straight line.on instances during changing lanes were there are division lines on the road or when driving over road irregularities or bumps, the instability of the vehicle was so noticeable to the point of feeling at risk during driving, afraid to loose control at any time.by this time the vehicle was about 200 miles reading.by may 29, 2015, while parked in my home's garage, i noticed that the vehicle was tilted (height was lower on the drivers side).i checked the basics (leveled floor, even air pressure of the tires) and measured the height from the floor to the chassis, finding the driver's side about 3/4" lower than the passengers side.the issue was reported to the vendor and service department.after many days of calling and claiming, the service department did not make the proper evaluation and concluded vaguely that the vehicle was fine.by this time the vehicle was about 1000 miles reading.on july 29, 2015 the vehicle was diagnosed on a service center, finding misalignment of the front steering system.in addition, the service center performed a reprogramming of the pcm engine module according to tsb 15-13-001, for which i don't have an explanation.currently the vehicle has a 5500 miles reading.alignment and stability seems to be solved, but it is under monitoring.tilt or inclination issue is still pending.the justification provided about the vehicle's tilt is that all vehicles come with some defects from manufacturer and i should consider it normal.when sold, the vehicle had been on dealership storage since sep-2014 until sold on may-2015.
In the year 2020 i took it for service but they did not find the problem then in 2021 in january i have noticed that the rubber on the front left side is sticking, the shaft is overheating, a vibration in the front axle which is not constant. Everything indicates that they are locking the pad and they indicate that there is no guarantee that i have to pay all the expenses. I have also noticed an excess of fuel consumption since the last software update that you received from the dealer cabrera brother hatillo consumes more gasoline than a 2006 toyota corolla it was tested because they run the same miles something is wrong with this vehicle consumes more gasoline than what what the manufacturer says . $ 20.00 of gas at 64.7 a liter full tank can only run 255.7 miles. I have checked it for 2 weeks it consumes a lot of gasoline more than a 2006 toyota corolla

When he runs, the front caliper knocks on the brake and leaves the noise in the two front caliper as if something was loose in front, the tires were removed and the caliper is the problem
In august 2020, the bus began to lock the left caliper of the front rubber, which took the dealer cabrera hermanos in arecibo pr. And they did not find the noise but they did not and at the hour the bus continues to lock the left caliper. They repaired a left rear cylinder at the time.
Takata recall. I purchased my mirage in feb of this year, i noticed that after i had my car at a complete stop it felt like someone ran into the back of car, so i took the car in on march 28th and they said that it was a transmission malfunction so they had to replace the transmission. So after they replaced the transmission and i went and picked my car back up i noticed that the breaks felt like they weren't right, it felt like i had to press the break down so hard to get my car to come to a complete stop, so i then also noticed that when i did break my breaks started to make a weird noise. Now i don't know much about cars and this was my first vehicle and i at least know that i should not be having this many issues already, at this point i am very irritated and angry because i have to deal with all these problems. This past saturday 04/16/2016 i was driving home from philadelphia pa after visiting a friend and my breaks locked, i went to push the break pedal and it wouldnt go down, thank god that there was no ther vehickes infront of me because i would of hit some one, i only usemy car for work and to take my daughter to doctors appts, to go visit my dad and sister and also to the grocery store
I had to make complete sudden stop when i had to put on the brakes quickly to avoid wreck.i was in the fast lane and when i went to start to go again it didn't want to accelerate again. I had to pull over to shoulder and shut off car and restart it. If this is a safety feature than its not a good one since you need to be able to go in the fast lane. It could of resulted in somebody to wreck in the back of me.i have had the computer resetting as result of i believe speed control issue or whatever the last recall was.i was on the interstate going at a decent speed when i made sudden stop.

This car was bought on 05/03/2015.between 05/07/2015 and 05/29/2015 i noticed small brown spots appear along the paint's surface of the vehicle (hood, roof, between doors).although the spots can be removed with wax and polish process, the spots re-appear within days.under the suspicion for corrosion, i inspected the vehicle thoroughly, noticing that the mechanical parts below the car were excessively corroded.the dealership and a mitsubishi inspector considered these conditions to be normal.the car was bought new.having at this moment less than 500 miles of use, i considered the corrosion level to be not typical.the dealership or service center did not respond for the corroded parts or paint.safety concern is the risk of a mechanical component premature failure due to corrosion.
Is there a wind standard for vehicles on highways?i know whenever there is windon interstate no matter what strength this vehicle struggles through it.not sure body is designed properly for highway where there is always wind.i'm having hard time keeping control of it and keeping from accident since i'm blown easily away.also it shouldn't matter whether windows or down or not. Car should be designed to be able to handle all conditions.i know wind is something you have to deal with but this vehicle seems very tough to handle in it.i was driving 1998 ford taurus and hit wind but didn't have this much difficulty driving in wind.i was wondering if there was a wind safety standard on vehicles and if not should there be one.i know i put todays date on when it happened but have experienced this wind danger on many dates since having vehicle in a month and a half.

Push button start system concerns: i can turn off the car while the car is in gear by pushing the start button. I tested this in my driveway moving slow in reverse, then again moving slow in drive.i tried this becausea friend asked about the possibility of this happening.the start button only works in park and neutral withthe brake pedal pushed. I have safety concerns as more cars are using this technology,

With the windshield wipers on full, the car has difficulty staying in the lane and has almost caused several accidents.
The car was parked on a quiet neighborhood street and there was nothing remarkable about the weather conditions.after starting the engine and putting the car in drive, the engine accelerated spontaneously and uncontrollably in very little time, causing the car to crash into a building after only a few seconds.the car traveled a very short distance but witnesses said that the car continued to accelerate as it approached the building.the driver had intended to make a right turn but was unable to do so due to the velocity ithe car was traveling. The crash was not due to driver error.the driver sustained very serious injuries and was hospitalized.the driver will need extensive rehabilitation.the car was totaled.the crash occurred in the afternoon.
