The contact owns a 2007 mitsubishi galant.while driving 72 mph, the contact's vehicle struck a deer, drove over a median, and rolled over four times.the air bags failed to deploy.the driver and passenger sustained injuries.the dealer was unable to explain the cause of failure.the vehicle was destroyed.police report number 9008020623070003 was filed.the dealer information was unavailable.the current and failure mileages were 9,000.

The dashboard that holds in the passenger airbag has come unglued from the frame on the dashboard. Also the side view mirrors are not very stable and have been shaking and the passenger side view mirror has just broke off from driving and turning onto other roads that have slight dip. The door handles have turned brittle and when we opened the door it just broke off.

I recently purchased a vehicle from a local dealership, i later found out that the airbag system has been disabled. The dealer showed me a fake carfax and repeatedly, infront of three different people, told me the vehicle was never in an accident. I have researched and found that a dealer must have me sign something stating the airbag system has be disabled.i tried many times to return vehicle but they refuse. I have turned it into the attorney general and am waiting a response. They suggested i also report it to the nhtsa.

The srs light on dashboard is on.i want to know if there is a recall from the manufacturer takata on the air bags.

I was in a front end collision in my 2007 mitsubishi galant and my air bags did not deploy. When the car was fixed they could not explain why my air bags did not deploy or that was not hit in the correct spot.

I have had two car accidents in my 2007 gallant one in which my entire front end came off and no air bags deployed over $5500.00 in damage the second one was a side impact in which my passenger doors were both hit and needed to be replaced and no air bag deployment.

On may 26, 2016 while traveling about 50 mph going up a straight stretch of highway i heard loud banging coming from the engine compartment, then quiet for a second then more loud clanging. I immediately released the accelerator.my battery light immediately came on. I stepped on my brake but had to step hard to get it to slow my car. I approached a curve and had to really muscle the car around the curve. Luckily i was able to just roll into a resort parking lot. My belt was laying under the car but still intact. My mechanic said the water pump came apart and took the pulley with it, causing the belt to fall to the ground.

My check engine light was on; so the mechanic replaced the egr valve w/gassket.i have driven my car about 500 miles and it still does not pass the smog test.the oxygen sensor is not ready.i've been told that i need to drive the car more.

The contact owns a 2007 mitsubishi galant. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10-15 mph, the engine stalled.the vehicle was towed several times to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired.the manufacturer was notified of the failure.the approximate failure mileage was 88,000.

I purchased this vehicle in 2009. Shortly after my purchase the check engine light came and i have the code read, which indicated the issue was the egr valve which affects emissions. The mechanic initially soaked the valve which worked for a while, but the check engine came on again. Same code, same problem, however soaking would not solve the problem. Mitsubishi no longer manufacturers the part, so had to be purchased after market. Total cost almost $700.00. Less than 1 year later, same problem, check light engine on, same code (p04 - i believe), another $700 and this time another mechanic told me mitsubishi issued a service alert in 2010, which i am unable to find. The service alert supposedly stated the issue lies in the programming, that no one is able to get done. So for the 3rd time in 6 years i'm looking to replace the same part, same issue.2nd issue:replacement keys have to programmed by the dealership. The cheapest i've found is $294 to the highest $399.00. Ridiculous!!! have to spend the money, because if for some reason the key i use breaks car will not start. What a rip off.

Left headlight keeps burning out. Replaced socket and bulb 3 times. About to do it again. Suspect over-current somewhere

I purchased my 2007 mitsubishi galant on april 28, 2007.after about 7000 miles, my brakes started pulsating.i took a day off work to return to the dealer and have them fix this problem.the service department decided to just re-surface the rotors and send me on my way.about 7,000 miles later it happened again... So back to the dealership i went again and once again, they decided to resurface my rotors.. Now of coarse at 22,000 miles on my vehicle, my break light has been coming on with the pulsation back and my brake pedal now continues to move toward the floor when at a complete stop.so back to the dealership again only to be told that my master cylinder & brake booster are leaking and they will replace the faulty parts but that my rotors are too low to resurface again and that i will have to spend about $400.00 out of my own pocket to replace them...there is obviously a problem with this brake system and i believe the rotors should have been replaced under warranty the first time or even the second time the pulsating happened.

2007 mitsubishi galant. Consumer writes in regards to warped brake rotors *tgwthe consumer stated when he applied the brake, the steering wheel vibrated.
