Frequent stalling; resulting in difficultly getting vehicle out of traffic or from blocking roadway.usually happens when vehicle is in motion(higher fuel requirement)fuel system runs out of fuel.dealer has had the vehicle in multiple times trying to find the problem.repair cost have exceed $10,000 in 2015 and 1st quarter 2016.
The contact owns a 2008 mitsubishi fuso fe 180.immediately after the vehicle was purchased in march of 2008, the vehicle's dpf (diesel particulate filters) indicator illuminated on the control panel.while driving approximately 60 mph, the contact noticed that the dpf indicator illuminated again and the vehicle decelerated to 20 mph.he parked the vehicle and shut off the engine.the vehicle failed to restart.the following day, the vehicle was driven to the dealer for a diagnostic and they found an error code in the computer.the mechanic stated that the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred two days later.the vehicle was driven to the dealer on several occasions and the vehicle continues to stall after the dpf and check engine indicator illuminates.the manufacturer sent a representative to inspect the vehicle, but the failure could not be duplicated.the representative also stated that due to the fact that the contact does an extensive amount of low speed driving, the engine becomes flooded with fuel.the vin was unavailable.the current mileage was 28,126 and failure mileage was 600. Updated 3/13/09 the amber regeneration light illuminated as well as the cehck engine light. The consumer was informed the oil was 2 quarts over what it should have been. The consumer continued to have problem with the oil filling beyond its level. The consumer was told there was either a problem with injectors or the exhaust itself. Updated 03/17/09.
