Dashboard is rising up all the way across the front windshield.consumer is concerned that airbag may be exposed.dealer has been contacted.

While driving at 40 mph,in order to avoid an accident, vehicle rolled over, it was crashed, and neither of the air bags deployed. Consumer and occupant were wearingseat belts which saved their lives. Air bag warning light prior to the accident was on.

Consumer's vehicle was involved in a head oncollision while driving 25 mph . Upon impact, air bag did not deploy.

While traveling on the highway the airbag light appear on the dashboard panel.please furnish additional information dealer is aware of the problem. Ts

Consumer's vehicle was involved in a collision travelling approximately 20-25mph and was hit on the passenger's side door.upon impact, air bags did not deploy.both front and rear bumpers were off track.the front right & rear doors were pushed 2 feet into the drivers side, with the front & rear seats.the consumer suffered a broken nose , broken clavical in 2 places, 4 broken ribs, facial impairment and cracked the front bridge in mouth.(vehicle was totalled)*scc

While driving at 30mph in a side collision none of the air bags deployed. Vehicle was salvaged.

Rainy day, suv vehicle in front of me completely stopped in the middle of street to make a left hand turn, he must have just stopped, because when i slowed down to brake my car slid and hit him in the rear, my whole front of car was smashed with the radiator partially up in the air, the car totalled, i would say, yet the air bags did not deploy, and it had dual air bags. I had a cut on my nose, not bad, but with bleeding inside nose, and lower back pains, my head hitting steering wheel.also my brother has pains in his ribwhich we are going to the doctor forto have xrays. I believe these air bags should have deployed at time of impact, i am lucky to be alive.please investigate this . Thank you.

Dt*: the contact stated that the vehicle's dash warped on 10/15/06 causing the windshield defroster vent cover to pop out of place.the vehicle was taken to the dealer shortly after and determined that a technical service bulletin 0346 with nhtsa item #10001899 had expired.the vehicle's dashboard was replaced on 04/17/06.

Instrument dash panel cover is , and has continued to peel back at the defrost vents at the windshield since 2003. It appears the glue had begun to fail. Each time i brought my car in for service my concerns and complaint of the dash board were largely ignored. Simply blown off to say it was not covered under the warranty. When asked if there had been any recall or widespread complaints i was told no to both questions. It was only recently i discovered on a government recall site there had actuallybeen a customer service action offered to address this problem. I did not receive this notification. I am very dissatisfied to learn that not only wasn't i notified of this offer, my direct questions towards this concern produced answers that were inaccurate.this situation troubles me deeply as i prepare for the purchase of my next new car. I think. Is this the honesty ( or should i say lack of honesty from a car manufacturer ) as i decide what manufacturers vehicle and service will best satisfy my expectations as a new car consumer. My families are loyal customers and current owners of ford, lincoln, mercury products. These include lincoln continental, ford explorer, mercury mystique , and ford taurus. I was leaning towards the purchase of the 2009 mercury mariner. In light of my current findings i'm not so sure i will still choose one of your vehicles. Having relatives who are currently long time employees of f,l,m, as well as retired family members from f,l,merc. I know that they too are considering purchase of new vehicles also in the near future. I really expect a response from someone in helping me resolve the issue i'm having. Dissatisfied consumer. Instrument panel cover is warped.

Dealer found battery cable over heated and melted the insulation. Everything in the car is original with no add-on or alteration. Since warranty expired in may 2003, it will cost 300 dollars to fix it.

2000 mystique ls, engine stall 7 times over the last 10 months. After multiple repairs, the mercury dealer could not find the problem. Problem still exists.

Transmission rebuilt at 45,000 miles by dealerwhen we got it back it died at a 1/4 of a tank of gas, so we can never let it go below even a half a tank now.over drive light flashes on and off periodically then goes off.at 69,000 miles car is now cutting out like it did when it first had transmission problems.

Starting in june 2000, when a/c was turned on, an obnoxious musty odor was present, then on 12-09-00 with heater turned on and driving 60 mph to work, became very ill and disoriented, later taken by ems, on 3-27-01, when leaving for work and turning out of drivie way, car stalled in middle of street and wouldn't start. Took to dealer fuel pump was replaced, dash was warpped and had to be replace because adhesive was coming off back of dash, fumes or odors from any of these components may have caused me to become totally disoriented which caused me to hit a concrete barrier while driving.

The dealership informed the consumer that the intake manifold was leaking gas. The dealership repaired the intake manifold. Please provide more information.

The rear wheels are locking when the driver is slowing down to stop.this occurs when the weather is cold.the owner was informed by a mechanic that the rear brake assembly was completely rusted.the owner contacted the manufacturer, but received no assistance.there was a bad noise when the vehicle was started and the vehicle would hesitate when trying to increase in speed along with hard shifting.recall campaign # 00v075000. *sc

Turning onto the highway vehicle shut down, causing the vehicle to continue onto the highway with no power.vehicle was towed, and the engine was found to be defective.

Check engine light stayed on.consumer stated no one was able to determine the cause.no contact with the manufacturer.

While traveling on the highway there was knocking noise coming from underneath the vehicle.

In march of 2002 the dash starting coming unglued and rolling up, which caused my defogger to pop out and not defog my windshield correctly.the car also stalls out when taking off from a starting position or changing to passing gear.the engine has to then be shut off and restarted for it to clear up.this will last about 30 minutes before it happens again.

Vehicle stalls intermittently when coming to a stop,dealer has replaced the power steering pressure switch, however that did not remedy the problem.idle air control was also replaced.

Dashboard is separating fromstructure and raising upwards in front of the windshield. As a result,air conditioner vents are not functioning properly. Dealer notified.

The air conditioning has failed twice in two years in a 2000 mercury mystique gs. While often considered a luxury rather than a safety item, i live in south florida were it is already reached 95 degrees. Last year a device in the dash had to be repaired. The mechanic said that this was a common problem with this model but that the company wasn't issuing a recall because not enough people complain. The new problem appears to be the air conditioning freezing up or with the blendor; the a/c is cold but barely blows, even when on high.

The contact owns a 2000 mercury mystique.the contact experienced engine hesitation, loss of power, and surging in her vehicle.she would lose all power and have to wait a couple of minutes before the vehicle would restart.the contact could only drive five miles before the failure recurred.the failure occurred when the engine was warm or hot.she took the vehicle to a local garage and they stated that the fuel pump was defective.the current mileage was approximately 56,000 and failure mileage was approximately 55,600.

Fuel pump failure in a 2000 mercury mystique , causing loss of power to engine & loss of power steering & brakes . I almost hit a light pole tring to get the car pulled over. The auto only has 2664 miles on it.if wife would have been driving , doubtful she wouldnt have been able to keep control of car , ford knows they have a problem with fuel pumps , when are they going to responsable for their actions.

Passanger side fuel tank retainer strap corroded through and yielded. Driver side strap is also corroded and needs to be replaced but did not yield.

On the 476 near philadelphia, my 2000 mercury mystique chugged and continued to lose power as we carefully pulled over to the side of the rode.there was almost 1/2 tank of gas at the time.after about 2 minutes we started the engine back up and continued on with our trip.fifty miles done the rode, it happened again.after two minutes we restarted the car and were able to drive to our destination without incident.i must add that this incident happened two times before (when the car was fairly new and under warrenty) when the gas was at 1/4and 1/8 of a tank respectively.we vowed never to let the gas get below 1/4 again.we were told by a mechanic that on a turn the gas probably shifted and because it was low the gas did not get through to the engine.this time (aug. 22) it happened with a half of a tank of gas with very heavy traffic.we were very lucky not to have had an accident.i currently have the car at a philadelphia dealer and he is yet to get the incident to replicate itself.in the meantime i feel our car is very unreliable and worry about a possible accident in that heavy traffic area of philadelpia.i have done a research for recalls and complaints.although i have not found a recall, i did see two or three similar complaints listed in the complaint section.i am hoping that we can get to the bottom of this before too long.

Fuel indicator showed 1/4 tank of gas in tank. Engine cut off because tank was empty. Filled with gas and car started. Two weeks later gas indicator show a little more than 1/4 tank of gas and engine cut off. Filled with gas and car started. I now fill the gas tank when the odometer gets to 170 miles. I can't trust the fuel indicator anymore.

During routine inspection mechanic foundpassenger's front tie rod broke.

Front passenger's tie rod broke while driving about 30 mph.

The adhesive failed on the leather dash and the dash is warping up in the drivers view and pulling away from the instrument panel. The dealer wants $500 to repair and says it is not covered under the extended warranty this is a manufacturing defect, so why am i paying for the exteded warranty.

The consumer stated that the vinyl of thedashboard was separating from the dashboard and this would result in poor visibility. The vent bowed and had come out and caused the vinyl to pull away from the dash.the consumer was told that the problem was due to a manufacturers defect by two separate ford dealers.the lip pn the vent was not even 1/4 wide to hold the vinyl.the consumer found that seven other consumers had experienced the same problem two of which were recalled.the consumers vehicle wasnot covered under the recall. *sc

Dashboard expanded and air-vent in dashboard was ejected and had to be removed in order to prevent it becoming airborne in the event of a collision.*la

Warped dashboard (right side), possibly effecting the proper use of the passenger side air bag and causing the defrost vent across the entire dashboard to be lifted out of its proper location, possible causing grievous injuries to anyone involved in an accident in this vehicle.

At 17,000 glue failed too hold padded covering in place,at this time fixed by dealership described as design flaw. At 32,000 dash fell apart again. This time was told we fixed it once do not have too again,but would repair for approximately $1000.00. I ama widow on a fixed income and can not do it.i have contacted the dealer ship and ford motor and was told they would not do any thing else unless i paid for it. The car is basically a good carbut this lets moisture get in between dash and padding from defroster.

The dashboard is detaching from the frame. Dashboard detached so bad it impaired the consumer's vision. She feared the air bag would deploy while vehicle was in operation. The vent strip that's attached to the dashboard, vibrates against the windshield. Afraid the constant tapping would break the windshield, consumer contacted the dealer. Front left coil spring broke and punctured tire while backing from driveway. No injuries or damage to vehicle. Both front coil springs replaced by ford dealer at a cost of about $300. Tire dealer replaced tire under road hazard warranty.

Dt rear drivers side coil spring i broke,but contained it hasn't come out of holder. Noticed this when rotating the tires. There iwas a recall for the front coil springs but not the rear. Conntacted f ford, they did not offer any assistants. The vehicle was driveable, but concerned that they'll be a blow out.noticed this morning on july 19, 2005.

This morning on my way to work i had a blow out of my tire on the left front tire.i was very lucky that i was not hurt or anyone else was hurt. It was early when the traffic was light.i feel that all of the firestone tires should be recalled and replaced. I could not afford to replace all of the tires at this time.and i have to travel 120 miles a day to work.i do have pictures of the tire if you would like to see them.i am very concerned that this may happen to someone else and they may not be as lucky as me. Instrument panel warpage causes loss of defroster function.

Vehicle has warpage of the instrument panel cover at the front edge of the instrument panel cover near the windshield, above the instrument cluster and around the glove compartment. The warpage prevents front defogger from working. This was taken up with the dealer who confirmed it was a recall, but will not be handled as one now. The dealer offered a cost to do the repair.

The dashboard and the dashboard framejust poped outtwo days ago.its bending towards the divers seat.there is a 3 inches gap between the dashboard and the car's body itself. My concern isabout the passanger's air . If it ( the dashboard) keeps bending like hat the the air bag could blow while i'm driving the car. For me it is a factory defect because the service advisor told me that he had several complains about the same problem. How could a three year old car have this kind of problem?

I am the owner of a 2000 mercury mystique ls and the dashboard pad is delaminating and curling up on the passenger's side of the vehicle.i previously had the recall fix that was issued for it done and this was only somewhat successful as it did address the dash warpage around the defrost vent but now the dash has now begun to curl up at the baste of the windshield.eventually it will continue to curl and begin to obstruct my view out of the passenger side of the windshield.

Backing out of driveway and accelerator stuck. Indidual could not remove foot from pedal.it's possible she somehow turned on the cruise control and thats why she could not control the car.

When running heater or air conditioner there is a musty odor like mold coming from vents.odor is so bad that it makes consumer ill. Vehicle taken to dealer numerous times. Dealer sprayed vents with chemicals and cleaned out vents. Did not remedy the problem. Dealer/manufacturer unwilling to assist in this matter.

While driving to work on 12-09-2000, with heater on, became very disoriented, hit concrete barrier, arrived 2 hours late to work, was taken by ambulance to hospital,, my co-workers will confirm that i could not talk or walk properly, was very confused, checked out by neurologists, all tests results normal, said it could have been co2 or other fumes or odors insidecar that made me sick. And totaly disoriented, by the grace of god, it was a miracle i was not killed while driving in this state. Due to odors inside my mercury 2000 mystique.

Well over the period of three years my dash board has been working fine until this summer when it began to malfuction and warp. Soon after my grill for my defroster popped out of the dashboard and and began to impropery defrost my windshield making it very difficult to drive. I recived a notification just after i pruchased my car about a defect in the unit but no recall was issued so the time of replacement had expired and nothing is going to be done because ford refuses to pay for the parts.
