The fuel injection wiring harness has insulation that is badly cracked and flaking off causing fault codes and poor running. The body harness has crackedinsulation as well. While this is an older car it is low miles and has spent itslife stored indoors.i have a 1968 model amc car. The wiring is fine still. This was a serious design flaw from day one. It wouldn't be so bad if the replacement part was not so expensive - 750 dollars.
